I simply cannot describe how much emotion kagehina's canon storyline makes me feel every time I think about it. their drive to get better, to beat each other, to push each other to new heights and limits, pulling off things in the sport they share such a mutual love for that they never would've believed possible if it weren't for the other. flying across the world to improve or going pro straight out of high school—pursuing different paths but still ending up right where they wanted to be. across the net and playing as rivals only to then take on the best of the best on the national team. moving back across the world only to still be just as excited to play each other the next time it happens. counting their wins and losses for nearly 10 years because competition is just as engrained in their relationship as the steadfast way they always know to look out for each other. quiet longing and explosive all consuming want for the person that understands them the best, who also happens to be the person they're still trying to figure out, every single day. haikyuu handles hinata and kageyama with such care and I can't help but literally lose my mind whenever the magnitude of what they accomplished hits me.
