Surprise! I am going to rant about my own redesign and art! I think this is me mentally preparing for the helluva boss episode next week and praying to god it’s actually good. I’ve also been nursing a bit of a hangover today so forgive me if my wording is a bit more jumbled than usual

Im a big fan of my Angel Dust redesign, but in the general aspect of my art, a lot of my poses are a bit flat. That can be from either posing issues on my end, trouble with facial features, or just some secret third thing, but I think so far Ive been enjoying drawing much more cartoonishly as of recent. That vox canon & headcanon drawing was super super fun to do even though it was supposed to be vivzies style, but I used to have a style with more sharp angles and pointy curves that I honestly kind of miss, I also miss playing with cartoonish proportions!!

My art style may end up changing eventually, but my main pieces will stay in my usual style and my more doodle-y ones will probably be in a more cartoony style like the ones above. While theyre definitely closer to canon and meant to be inspired as such, the difference is that I can draw diverse body types in said artstyle! I also cant lie, Angel’s chest fluff is one of my absolute favourite things to draw and it’s so easy in this style…

About my redesigns though! This is mostly about Angel, but I’m gonna slap this here from DMs with a friend: “Im so pleased with this genuinely im so happy he has his little pedipalps, theyre technically also still his fangs but now he can move them and stuff and :33 typically for male spiders the pedipalps are a reproductive organ but that isnt the case for angel or many other arachnid or insect sinners id say so I think personally most of them have developed pedipalps for primarily other reasons like fangs in Angels case or maybe something similar to cat whiskers for other people”

In my original angel dust redesigns I just couldn’t find a way to draw his fangs in a way that made me happy because I want to keeo the same energy in his face as the original. Big clunky fangs that stick out just didn’t work for him and while they made him look like a spider, he lost that sort of angel-ness that I need when drawing him so I instead looks to the pedipalp aspect of spiders to move them off of his mouth and more onto his cheeks. It’s a very small change but it improved the design in my eyes significantly and just really made me a lot happier. I wont be updating his redesign post as of right now and maybe never will, but if I do yknow why now!

I just really really like drawing this guy a bit rubbery, hes supposed to be fluffy so like he should move kinda soft in a way? I dunno how to explain it rn, its 2 AM at the time of writing this so im gonna lay the hell down now!

SHIT I WOULD WANNA SEE IN A SOW REWRITE: a non exhaustive list in no particular order

• give a name to more story relevant weapons. Voltar is cool, but I wanna know what are the names of Ingressus' kickass flame blade, and thalleous' sword, and Achillean's staff! Mostly cause I wanna refer to them more easily for Symbolism(tm)! ALSO an opportunity for Senn&Ria bonding over naming her spear!!

• SPEAKING OF SWORDS give thalleous' sword to Ria. NO HEAR ME OUT; she starts the story with her spear, sendaria burning, killing Tygren ect. When Tygren dies SHE gets the sword instead of Senn, and gives Senn her spear (from her point of view, she's giving back a weapon she trusted to protect herself, she's now protecting him and signaling that she trusts his craftsmanship. Subtextually it signify the rift that forms between them as she gets more into hunting Voltaris down and Senn gets closer to his heritage). She keeps using it throughout the story, culminating in attacking Senn with it when he surrenders in Northwind, which he deflects with the shield song like in canon. Anyways, Senn comes back from Hailstone, rejoins the group and Ria is happy but doesnt trust him the same until the Final Battle(tm). Some random element (doesn't matter what, were doing symbolism here) makes it that she loses/cannot use Thalleous' sword, at which point Senn gives/throws her her spear because PLOT TWIST: THE REAL SOLUTION WAS TO LET GO OF AN ARBITRARY SYMBOL OF STRENGHT AND INSTEAD PUT FAITH IN LOVE, TRUST AND FAMILY ALL ALONG, Pythus gets eviscerated, happy endings all around

• speaking of Ria, you might guess it from my last point but GIVE MY GIRL A CORRUPTION ARC. Gimme women's wrongs! Let me watch her go from 'i wanna be just like Thalleous (the cool ex-soldier with awesome stories)' to 'i wanna be just like Thalleous (the guy who threw a kid off a cliff)' and find herself on the way! I've heard people find her overpowered and honestly,,,, yeah kinda but idk how to fix that (also power scales aren't really real to me). You know what's real? CHARACTER ARCS. Plus free Senn angst and frankly I love that. SUBPOINT: could Herobrine be like,,, a character? You're telling me two major characters made a soul pact with a demon entity from another realm and that never paid off? What is Herobrine even gaining from this I MUST KNOW

• MAKE THALLEOUS A VILLAIN PROTAGONIST 2024 okay ik he kind of already is, and ik im basically Thalleous' number 1 hater, and ik this is my complicated relationship with my own father speaking BUT REGARDLESS. Have him do shady stuff before season 3 and just sliiiightly more often pls. Let him be a bit manipulative! Let him lie a bit more! Let him kill a disarmed opponent or strike someone in the back! Let him even be outwardly prejudiced a bit more openly. I'm not even gonna argue his responsibility in the Great War cause thats no the point but you can't tell me he isn't morally grey. Let that little bastard man shine! Honestly im (more than) a little disturbed by the narrative expecting me to a agree with a guy who preached genocide, after all we've seen him do (once again, the child yeeting wasn't great). Please just have someone tell Thalleous to fuck off. Please.

• ALMRAK SHOULD BE USING CRUTCHES OR A WHEELCHAIR INSTEAD OF A CANE. A CANE IS ACTUALLY MOST OFTEN USED FOR BALANCE ISSUES. THIS IS AN ABSENCE OF LEG ISSUE. That's it that's the point.

• ACTUALLY IM NOT DONE i find Almrak's entire character,,, strange. So the only visibly disabled character in the show is Voltari. Cool! He's the only Voltari portrayed sympathetically (Ingressus does not count, he's the main villain). Less cool! It's heavily implied the reason he's sympathetic is because he's disabled and therefore cannot fight (debatable. Give my man a crossbow). Pretty bad! I'm not physically disabled (diagnosed) myself but I am a Sufferer of some kind of chronic pain and autistic (and the mental Horrors), so idk how relevant my commentary is but there's a bunch of things I don't like here: 1) a disabled character can be optimistic for sure, I love that actually! I dont love how tied those two things are tho. Almrak is the only optimistic Voltari we meet, and while I like the trust he has in his people, his behaviour is oddly reminiscent of those inspiration porn video about how incredible it is that disabled people can be *gasp* happy. This also has the unfortunate implication that the only way a Voltari becomes trustworthy is by becoming/being made harmless? Which is kind of a reach but also tracks a little to much for comfort 2) his death (HE LIVES IN MY HEART, AND SO DOES DELTHEUS) but in canon he dies. And he does so without even really defending himself? Just lays there waiting for the sword? Not only does that seem weird at all (you have a CANE baby BEAT EM UP) it seems out of character for The Only Not Depressed Voltari to just,,, accept death. Mostly the narrative seems allergic to giving him agency. 3) he was created specifically to prove life for the Voltaris was hard (it's somewhere in the supplementals). First, do you think accidents don't happen in other Clans? Thats stupid. And second, ew. This, to me, shows that I'm supposed to look at Almrak, a character living his best life, hopeful for the future, reaping the benefits of a close knit community supporting and respecting him, and feel what, sadness? Pity? That seems incredibly disrespectful. And I say all that as an Almrak lover, he and Deltheus are among my fave. Now, thats a lot of issues but I feel like they could easily be fixed in 3 easy steps: 1) more rep. Just by adding a sprinkle of disability rep to the cast, Almrak stops sticking out like a sore thumb because he's disabled, and starts sticking out because he's a genuinely interesting character with a unique worldview. Wild i know. 2) LET HIM LIVE give him agency in this. Im not saying he should fistfight a Netheran, but let him try to flee or something. 3) now, disability can absolutely be caused by a hostile environment, there's nothing wrong with that. So my solution here wouldn't be to avoid that, but to show some other hardships as well? So it's not Just That? Like, idk, Deltheus remarking how much better the food is in Hailstone because Humans can stockpile and the Voltaris were starving before? Mentions of lacking medicine? Offhand mentions of dead family like they did for Thalleous and Galleous? Idk man, just dont let disability be the Worst Fate in your story. Please.

• Either more of the Necromancer Arc, or none at all. Listen, I love my cat girl necromancy as much as the next guy and Xaria is one of my favorite characters, but, as is, it feels disconnected from the rest of the show and not in a good way. I love the idea of having a more down to earth/everyday pov of the SGW but this Arc doesnt feel different enough to work for me. The characters arent in more danger or difficulties then in any other arc, they arent more developed (actually, kinda less. Why was Lucan in jail? why is Nikaa so anti necromancer? what even was the catalyst of the necromancer movement starting? i guess well never know those important character motivations), they don't really explore more down to earth stuff (human politics! survival in Ardonia during the War! maybe explore WHY people join factions like the Necromancer or the Legion!!) and, because SoW as a story is so focused on individual actions and heros, and the Arc offers neither those nor its own flavor, it ends up feeling pretty redundant, which is a shame. I guess a way to fix this would be to actually lean in to it's separate aspect and maybe focus on the building of a revolt against the Nether (and mayyyybe link that with what the necromancers had going on? maybe? Who am i kidding they'll never give my blorbos the love they deserve. Xan, Xaria, no one gets you like i do)

• I do not know how to fix the K'arthen arc. I do not know if the K'arthen arc can be fixed. To whomever is out there trying to fix the K'arthen arc: you are an endlessly brave individual and i send you power on this journey.

Obviously alphyne and cerobas friendship with starlo is the healthiest outcome for each of them in their respective pacifist endings but what if they just made each other worse forever and ever actually 💖 Be each others outlet for their own guilt, drag each other further down into a self destructive pit, forever believing they are rotten to the core and no one could ever forgive or understand them… um!

Sonaroba obviously very similar boat to alphys and ceroba. My beloved trio of women who make mistakes that hurt people while trying to help/protect them. Sonaroba is even more interesting to me bc sona is essentially a worse-case-scenario ceroba: she never had that community to pull her out of her spiralling and grow as a person, she controls almost everyone. Staying this stagnant for as long as she has also means she’s even more stubborn than ceroba, too: ceroba is able to see the error in her thinking as soon as martlet is actually given the chance to reason with her, meanwhile sona in the imperfect endings doubles down on her initial perception of the monsters even when she acknowledges beforehand that she was wrong. She just can’t accept it. There’s so much to dig into 4 kcy. How would sona react to finding out what ceroba did, and how similar it is to her situation? Is there a mutual understanding that forms between them after they come clean to each other or does ceroba just become sonas scapegoat, “See? Monsters can’t be trusted! They will lie to and deceive you just to get what they want!” Would ceroba try to save her after the truth comes out by reasoning with her, even in the imperfect ending where she turns all of her friends into humans against their will?? What’s the limit for how far she’s willing to go to save a fucked up reflection of herself? Augh. Anyway. i literally have so much to say about q and toey and we are and im sitting here like AAAAA. i had to write it down.

i see people being upset about the jealousy thing and the way Q acted and how he started teasing Toey about the kiss: but it was very clear that no feelings were talked about or cemented at the amusement park. Q asked Toey if he understood Chain was hitting on him, unaware it was a ruse for him to admit feelings for Toey. he did admit those feelings, but not in a "claiming toey as his bf" way, in a "i need you to know im an option for you and my feelings are real" way. (He literally said "what if i hit on you too?" the unasked question beside that: "how would you feel about me if i did?") Q was actually giving Toey the choice to react however he wanted to when he kissed him.

Honestly it was a really good way for Q to approach the subject bc he didnt get mad at Toey OR Chain for their "potential" feelings. He was jealous but he tried to figure out how they both truly felt about each other before acting. (and Chain lied to Q and said he had feelings for Toey.) Toey didn't actually lie, I noticed. He just said Chain had been very nice to him. If Toey had given blatant confirmation that he had feelings for Chain, Q would have backed off, I'm certain of it. But instead of lying, (or admitting he actually liked Q,) Toey made it seem like he was considering Chain as a possible romantic interest, and Q heard that and chose to let Toey know that he could also be a possible romantic interest.

He gave Toey the choice to say no to the kiss. Toey kissed back. But that was not them becoming a couple! (Notice that later, Toey never said he and Q were together, only that he believed he had a chance with Q.)

I actually find it similar to what Phum and Peem are going through atm. They are not officially dating yet!!! they havent talked about that at all! theyve kissed twice, but they dont know what they are, and they are taking their time figuring it out, and there's nothing wrong with not labelling their relationship immediately.

So that's what I saw the teasing scene as. As Q being like "hey, remember that time we kissed. and you kissed back. im here as an option for you to date, are you gonna do anything about that? how does that make you feel? are we gonna talk about it? hope you figure it out soon <3"

and i dont find anything wrong with that! WHAT MADE THINGS MESSY WAS THE REVEAL OF THE RUSE.

Which was confusing because it wasn't revealed that the group had planned for chain to pretend-hit on toey. What WAS revealed was that the whole group knew that milk frappe boy was Toey, and Q didnt. That's what made Q explode so bad. Like, i think that scene was meant to be confusing, because Q kept saying "explain it to me" as well as "i dont want to hear it". I think all he really saw in the moment was his entire friend group in the know about something important to him that he'd never told them, while faced with learning Toey was the anonymous boy from his past, and had known, and had kept it from him.

Like yeah, I can imagine the kind of betrayal Q must have felt! He had just kissed Toey! And it slowly made more sense as to why Q reacted as strongly as he did bc more was revealed while Q was trying to come to terms with milk frappe boy and Toey being the same person.

Because it isnt until after the explosion that we learn Q had had it BAD for milk frappe boy. That he'd even talked to Toey about it and how bad he felt for disappearing on the mystery boy he'd liked so much. This scene was really complicated bc we were seeing it from Toey's perspective, as him learning that Q had had feelings for him and then advising Q to try and find milk frappe boy to find out the truth about his feelings, without Toey telling Q it was him all along.

But I think from Q's perspective, that scene was about trying to admit to himself that he'd made a mistake and should have done better by the anonymous boy. I think he was also trying to express that he was past it now, and trying to move on. Pairing that interpretation with the conversation between Q and Peem that was like "well this is how you felt about milk frappe boy, how do you feel about Toey?" and you get the impression Q considered his feelings for milk frappe boy a lost cause, but he was okay with that because he had found Toey, and started liking him instead.

So learning that they were the same person was really complicated for him! Q's got a lot to work through! a lot of conversations and interactions to reframe in his mind. And of course he's hurt that Toey never told him who he was, but what made that hurt more was learning Toey had told the rest of the group first.

I think that's also what's beating Toey up the most - that his real feelings for Q had turned into a real lie, by choosing to play along with the ruse their friends invented. He was someone who, before, was always content to give Q space and just be near him, so manipulating his feelings the way that they all did, and Q discovering his identity as milk frappe boy in the midst of that ruse is something I don't think Toey ever imagined or wanted to happen - that he was and would have been willing to let things unfold naturally - even admit to his identity later if there'd been a more honest chance for it.

for literal years (i have no sense of time, its honestly probably just half a year but i could be horrifically wrong—i blame covid for destroying it), i have had this... au. where i just. put nanami. in hsr.

like—instead of caelus or stella being the mc, nanami is and thats whats hes been doing all those years when he was away from sorcery. i do hc that he spent at least one year as a salaryman to get that signature "my soul has been sucked out by capitalism" look and "we should reform society to be better" mindset lmao

i imagine that like—the way it works is that everything happens roughly the same in the main story, its just the little minute differences that change kinda like how everyones playthru of hsr is slightly different because we chose diff dialogue options or whatever

so like—he goes thru belobog, goes thru the xianzhou, goes thru penacony, and then all the side quests, and thats when he decides to go back home (did i base it off my own hsr progress? haha... yeah. lmao)

i dont know who exactly he goes down back to earth with but i do have this one scene in my head where he meets up with himeko. and as much as i like the idea of him going down alone, i dont think the express is gonna let him lmao. best i can imagine is march and welt. welt because this is the most similar to his old home of hi3 (which i want to play so bad but alas i have a life), and march because she serves as a nice contrast to the low energies of nanami and welt AHAHA

i did consider benching her since shes been going to expeditions nonstop but like—the contrast gotta b there honey, thats what you call good writing and good character dynamic lmao. but yeah—he goes down, calls up gojo, and welt and march go off to fuck about.

i imagine that gojos fuckin stunned to see him after so many years because like—he was working a dead end job and then one day he fucking disappears. and it would scare gojo too since like, his entire thing is being able to see things, to percieve things, and as op as gojo is, im p sure he isnt able to see far enough to find nanami in the cold and dark depths of space. all he knows is—he was there, and then, his cursed energy disappears like a candle that went out. all he can assume is that he died or some curse users got to him. but if he died, a sorcerer of his caliber would produce a CRAZY curse spirit. and if curse users got to him, there would be some sort of trace or destruction left behind as a trail because nanami wont go that easy and if he did turn into a curse user, he would be able to pick up the curse energy residue.

so now here he is, back infront of him like some kind of disappearing act AND with some strange and crazy energy inside him. like a fucked up star or black hole or something. somethings obviously happened to him, and if the weird disappearance and reappearance or the weird-ass thing inside him didnt clue him in—he would rip out his own eyes. and he KNOWS that is this nanami because the Six Eyes never lie. (hehe kenjaku prison realm moment)

so now hes tasked with figuring out what the fuck happened to nanami and what the fuck that pulsing thing inside him is—but hes conflicted about it because jesus christ, it was just him and ieiri for so long and theyre both so desperate and so happy to see an old friend again and—and they don't know if they can disregard whatever the fuck happened to him and if hes a threat, because god they missed him so much (hehe geto moment)

MEANWHILE march and welt are snooping around and they find a curse, which they easily defeat obviously and welt has... a WEIRD feeling about these "curses". like hes experienced facing this kind of energy before... so they go curse hunting a little bit more and holy shit. thats when welt realizes.

the reason why the curses and curse energy is so familiar is because he REALLY DID face this sort of energy before—and he faced that energy in the form of rAIDEN MEI WHEN SHE WAS WAVING AROUND HER NIHILITY ABILITIES. so now the express HAS to start meddling because the fucking NIHILITY is HERE and this world has been drowning in the powers of the nihility for actual fucking CENTURIES and at this point, and its going to be too goddamn predictable if theres a fucking stellaron causing it. (there isnt but theyre so used to it at this point lmao)

Honestly?? Just why would someone think this is a good idea???

Why do they keep trying to force the twins into romantic subplots when the other one of them is im danger???? Like the one with Zeyet and Yuhi wasn’t really too upfront because that was more people going “oooo are you guys on a date” rather than an actual one.

I enjoyed that episode with Yuhi and Zeyet as well. Not because of what it was on the surface level but rather how I interpreted it as.

I saw it as him being overwhelmed with everything and desperately wanting to get himself some more time, some time to ensure he doesn’t break down immediately. And while he wasn't able to duel his sister, which I've seen people saying that episode was pointless because of that, I think that he needed that break, that moment of feeling as if he's a normal teen again (well as normal as a yugioh character's life does get) and - ultimately - that's why I believe he was able go steel himself to sacrifice himself for his sister.

He was able to have a good last day before everything happened, and even if he can't remember it, then maybe the people who were there could remember him fondly.

I don't think he would have picked to hang out with Zeyet, Sabyuas and Zwijo on his last day willingly but he still needed time away.

Some people might just have viewed him being insecure about his silly outfit as just a stupid thing to have before the big finale to the arc but I viewed it as him trying to be that "absolute life form" like his sister is likened to. After all, they did a good job at hammering in the fact that everyone around Yuhi felt as if he didn't have that same resolve as Yuamu does. The scene where the UTS employees are talking about how Yuhi depended on Yuamu when they got their first homework really stuck with me in this regard. It's SUCH a small thing to mention but to have it when people like Zwijo are talking about Yuamu's resolve and her willingness to throw herself away??

Honestly pretty good writing in that regard not gonna lie.

Though, I don’t think I’m gonna enjoy this episode when I am able to watch it.

Mostly because it’s Zwijo whose she thinking about.. and that there are ACTUAL feelings going on.. like PLEASE do not go this route Yugioh Go Rush. If this turns out to be the case I will actually just be so mad.

Especially the queercoding we got from Zwijo because that would be yet another character like that that’s forced away from a queer relationship. And I’m not saying it’s not a possibility for Zwijo to be bi or pan or something else, I think having that set up with Yuudias only to throw it away would be BAD.

Especially seeing as though the dub is gonna be using the “diversity” to promote the show to people.

And why the hell is Zeyet gonna be telling Yuamu that Zwijo’s her “fated one” in the first place??? Is it to try and distract her from her brother or something?? I’m not sure and I’m scared to have to find out…

Anyways, this wouldn’t be complete without talking about Yuna. Because instead of exploring her character more of how shes like WITHOUT someone she fawning over all the time, they decided to move her onto YUGA of all people and say shes had a crush on him and shit??

I believed she was a lesbian at first and after some grief of her getting a big, big crush on a guy, I just accepted it because she still clearly loved Rovian and I was being a little too silly over that!!! So bisexual Yuna is still there.

But yeah I want to explore HER character more.

Because she’s clearly obsessive and codependent on people she likes (Rovian and Yuga). And she seems to NEED that favourite person and constantly wanting to be around them and honestly if we got to explore that and the self destructiveness that comes with that I would be hooked. Not only would it be a very interesting watch, it would develop her character greatly outside of her relationship with another character (something I really thought that was gonna happen when she left the Rovian bandits), but it would make her a really relatble character to me and probably many other people.

Yes, I know this isn’t the type of show to expect that sort of thing BUT Go Rush has had wonderful moments, moments that have made me cry and ones I regularly think about.

To drop the ball with the characters like this over and over again is basically just killing off the audience.

I plan to watch until the end but I don’t think this will be my favourite generation at all. It has times I love it and times where I wanna just erase episodes entirely. The characters are ones Ive gotten attached to and so I wanna know what happens next with them and its up to the writers to make that worth while or not.

I will give them one thing though they’re so good at writing finales a lot of the time. Like I dont think I need to mention how amazing the Yuudias and Zwijo confession scene?? Or the Yuga vs Yuhi -> Yuamu vs Yuhi -> Yuamu vs Yuudias. The impact that had on me was immense. That was definitely an amazing thing for Yuamu’s character and of course the most recent finale - the one where Yuhi became Otes.

Unfortunately, I saw spoilers for it beforehand so I wasnt able to go into it blind but I still cried over it. Especially when Yuhi sported his old UTS outfit. That really got to me.

Yuhi also slowly forgetting Yuamu?? Torn me apart.

From what I heard from the current arc, it’s not really shaping up. I haven’t watched it yet as I use the subs that Entame Subs put out and they’re kn hiatus now but that just means for a binge spree when they come out /hj. The focuses of the episodes are quite random to pick of all times I think??

But alas I’ll have to see how I react to them when I’m able to watch them.

Not too much optimism despite the amount I want to have because welll… while they do nice finales they don’t always do good episodes before that..

I don’t think I’ll hate Go Rush though. It would be tremendously hard to make me hate it really unless they do something REALLYYYY REALLLLYY bad. So let’s just all hope for a good outcome for this series.

Hiccup stares at Dagur, heart beat loud inside his ears. Dagur is here! Here on dragon island while they are trying to do a sneaking mission!! Dagur had just excitedly recounted their last encounter, recounting Hiccup ‘fighting’ the night fury. Which… yeah…

But now Dagur is pointing his sword at Hiccup and Hiccup feels conflict bubbling up within. He had not agreed with his father’s choice to hide the dragons from the Berserkers. And while he is still a bit afraid of Dagur from their time as children-

“So ... what are you doing here?”

Dagur’s words intteruopt his thoughts and Hiccup stutters mentally while stepping back from the sword, fingers flexing on his shield.

“What am I doing here?

Dagur takes another step forward, face starting to shift, but to what? It is a little hard to tell in the dark.

“Don’t answer that! I know EXACTLY what you’re doing here.”

Hiccup feels a flash of guilt and worry. If Dagur found out they had lied he would go to war. But how could he not eventually find out?? They were at war with Alvin using dragons! And any traders that came to their island saw the dragons. Maybe…maybe this is a chance to do something. Something Stoick would not approve of.

“Uh, you-you do?”

He stutters.

“Oh yeah, I do. You’re here for the same reason I am, Hiccup. You’re here ... to hunt dragons!”

Hiccup flinches back and takes several steps backwards. Oh. Oh no no no. Dagur is hunting dragons on dragon island while they are trying to do a sneaking mission on said island while their dragons were hidden on the other side.

“Thats… Uh.. Actually no.” Hiccup is going to make a choice, to reveal an inevitable truth, because while only the heir of Berk, he knows that his loyalty is to dragons first. “You see Alvin's decided that he hates my tribe existing and he might train dragons or just send plain old wild dragons against us, so me and my ... Friends are here trying to successful pull of a fake sneakingt mission on this island without our dragons.”

Dagur starts nodding along.

“Oh fake missions are a great pra- hold up, "our dragons"?”

Dagur looks a little wild in his eyes that are full of offense. Hiccup sighs and sits down on the log and pokes the fire with a nearby stick. He stares at it instead of his probable doom.

“Mmhmm. Alvin attacked us and our dragons were the only thing that got us out. And I figured he'd spread the word, so I'm not gonna do like my dad asked and lie to you. We have dragons. That fight you saw was staged to save the twins’ Zippleback.”

Dagur sits down heavily. He clenches his hands tightly.

“Your dad?”

He asks.

“Mmhmm. It wasnt my plan. If it was up to me Id never send Toothless away. But Dad keeps making me and honestly… Im so tired of not being allowed my best friend at my side.”

“Toothless?”

Dagur just sounds dazed. Better than pissed.

“The Night Fury. Would you like to meet him? Knowing him, hes probably worried enough to start looking for me after Tuff stoped paying attention.”

“I could meet a Night Fury?!!”

Dagur sounds genuinely exited and maybe Hiccup can win him over.

“Yes. But you have to promise not to hurt him.”

Dagur takes a second and then puts down his sword.

“Fine. Yes. Let me meet the Night Fury!!”

Hiccup nods and then tilts his head back and lets forth a roar he had learned from Toothless. Dagur starles and burst into laughter.

“I had no idea you could make that noise!”

Hiccup flushes and rubs his neck. Dagur still makes him a little afraid, but he feels safer knowing his best friend is on the way.

“I practiced a lot with Toothless.”

Hiccup replies.

“What sort of name is Toothless anyways?”

Hiccup is about to answer when Toothless leaps from the shadows, over the fire, and tackles Hiccup off the log, licking his hair vigorously before turning to growl at Dagur. Hiccup stands up and gently rubs his friends head.

“Hey, hey, its okay bud. Hes… a potential ally. We really dont want a double war. So lets just say hi.”

He croons to Toothless who sniffs the air and then huffs in a way that Hiccup knows that Toothless is going along with this because Hiccup is the one asking.

Dagur is staring.

“He understands you?”

“Mostly, a lot of it is guessing and being around each other all the time. Here, give me your hand.”

Dagur does and Hiccup brings Dagur’s hand to Toothless’s snout. The hand is shaking ever so slightly underneath Hiccup’s. Hiccup gently guides it into a smooth petting motion and Toothless purrs. Dagur lets out a half laugh that might be nerves or derangedness. Hiccup decides to go a step further.

“I could probably convince him to let you ride with me… but only if you promise me something.”

Dagurs head jerks sharply to look at him, but Hiccup feels steady with toothless right here at his side.

“What?”

It is a whisper, softer than Hiccup thought possible from the older teen.

“My… I don't think a war on two fronts is Berks best interest. I know my father lied. I don't think it was the right choice. And I'm hoping, that as his heir, my truthfulness can repair this broken trust. So if�� if you want a ride you must agree not to go to war and kill my people or my dragons.”

Dagur blinks and stares him in the eyes. They stand in silence for a moment, breathing slow and measured.

“I think I can agree to that. As allies, we shouldn't be going to war. But I want to redo that treaty! We never signed it properly with all the lieing and messing around.”

Dagur says and Hiccup deflates in relief.

“Okay, yeah, I think I can get Stoick to-”

“Nonono. I don't want a treaty with that old fart. I want it with you.”

Dagur taps Hiccup's chest. Hiccup flushes.

“But I'm not incharge of Berk?”

“Your incharge of dragons. Much cooler. And more powerful to be honest.”

Dagur says with a broad grin. Hiccup sighs.

“Dad won't love that.”

“I can get rid of him if you'd like!”

The offer is genuine and Hiccup quickly shakes his head.

“I'm not ready to be chief and my dad really doesn't deserve to die.”

“Just give me the word.”

Dagur shrugs. Hiccup shakes his head and slips onto Toothless’ saddle.

“Right. Uh, thanks. Now, that ride?”

He offers his hand and Dagur hesitates for a moment before climbing on behind him.

“You're going to want to hold on.”

He warns and is surprised that Dagur's grip is gentle on his waist.

“Ready.”

Dagur says and Hiccup hums.

“Alright bud. Let's go!”

And then they launch straight up into the dark sky. The grip shifts to a hug from behind as they climb higher. Toothless lets out a happy roar and Hiccup cannot help but roar along. They spiral upwards and then Hiccup croons and they are diving quick and fast to the inky black waves that are silvery where the moon touches. They glide quickly across the crests of the waves, stirring up a fine mist. Dagur whoops and lets out a Berserker cry.

They climb again and then they fall backwards flipping head over tail. Hiccup is laughing from adrenaline and Dagur laughs too. Toothless warbles and straightens into a dive and shoots a plasma blast. They burst through the plasma heated air and crash into the water before rising back into the air. Water makes the fast winds colder but neither boy cares truly.

They then rise high and float among the moonbeams as Dragon Island rests far below.

“Amazing.”

Dagur whispers in awe.

“He is, isn't he?”

Hiccup croons and scratches Toothless.

“Yeah. And you too. I saw that pedal action. That seals it. I'd like you to teach me to tame dragons.”

“... Let's get the treaty issue all sorted and then maybe.”

“I'm going to make it part of the treaty. You're so amazing.”

The grip around his chest tightens for a moment and then Dagur speaks again.

“Think we can do a few more dives? We should avoid the northern shore though. That's where part of the armada is.”

Hiccup blinks for a second and then puffs his cheeks. Of course the armada is here. Dagur is a chief after all.

“Sure. Toothless and I love trick flying. Honestly, sometimes I wish I had less responsibility to the tribe so I could do it more.”

“I know the feeling.”

Dagur whispers. Hiccup feels a flash of sympathy. It must be rough. Eighteen and having everyone look to you as a leader to guide them through. When all Dagur seemed to want to do was have fun and fight. Dagur was not ready for chiefdom. He reaches down and pats the arm encircling his chest.

“Well, let's just forget responsibility for now. Okay?”

“Sounds good Hiccup.”

And then they dive.

Jaxon:

Jaxon would be teased during Tender Treats, but not quite revealed. Sort of like a background or ARG appearance.

He would then have an "episode" called Jester's Court. It wouldn't be an actual episode since it would focus on John, Jack, and Patty instead of the Spooky Kids. Jaxon is lead by his delusions to the Eden Hospital in an attempt to bring Bob back. It's a parody of a shock film.

The episode would switch between the Blues Clues gang and Jaxon, drastically changing in tone when it does this. Jaxon's parts would be like unreality, with flickering hallucinations and a peak into his thoughts (background whispers) while he makes he way to the morgue.

Meanwhile the Blues Clues gang would be obviously more structured and whats actually happening, as they try to get to the exit without being spotted by Jaxon. Especially Jack.

Mars:

Mars would NOT be teased! Well I mean maybe a little. Like in a photograph.

Mars's episode would be called Red Ribbons! He wouldn't be revealed AT ALL for awhile. It seems like the episode revolves around Evermore, as he's in the thumbnail and Mars is just behind him, sort of a "you dont see him until after you watch the video"

I haven't quite decided what Mars's episode would be like.. I know that he'd be revealed with the Spookeez crashing into his legs and he'd slooooowly turn around and look down at them

I don't actually know what purpose Tuk would serve in an episode. Maybe some sort of short-aesthetic thing where you get to watch his day. Patty leaves him at home and he spends the whole video trying to get to the hospital to see her. Tuktuka shenanigans !!

They're so fruity and for what. SUO WAS COMING IN SO STRONG AND KANUMA WAS NOT THAT. Now Kanuma, lovely boy he is, but at the time I went "who and where was the adorable and cute, he's being a brat if anything"—i see it now tho. (Also yes, im very much aware it was a taunt in the way someone would taunt someone being childish bUT STILL-)

And then their fight?? Absolutely humiliating for Kanuma but Suo's (lowkey) sadistic tendencies really shines a light and it's because of the former! (and other things but mostly kanuma's actions, so let's ignore that for now) In all seriousness, this fight was the first time we see Suo emotional since he was likely angry at the other for being immature, self-centered and hypocritical. All he's hearing from Kanuma was "me, me, me" so when he finally puts him in his place, his face was showing his sick satisfaction for the latter's humiliation mirroring the Kanuma's short-lived humilitation towards a downed Saruwatari (aka dude who got pummeled by Togame in their first meeting). Giving out due punishment in hopes of teaching him a lesson. (which is giving brat tamer vibes- 🤭)

The fight also sparked a change in Kanuma—who was also affected by Choji's change when he became the leader, likely influenced by his closeness to Choji (being close friends and all) and had let his ego get the better of him—and had done some reflecting, taking Suo's words to heart. Which is why we still see him in Shishitoren, because clearly they knew they needed to change and they were going to fix the problems they created/aggravated instead of running away.

Suo being so surprised and curious to see Kanuma there and then redirecting the conversation back to Kanuma's lack of response was just the cherry on top for solidifying these two for me. They're in the middle of an all-out war and Suo's chatting him up like they're pals catching up on a regular Tuesday was ugHHHH OKAY SUO, I SEE WHERE YOUR PRIORITIES LIE.

Everyone is seeing this, everyone is acknowledging/amused/exasperated by it. Suo's probably happy that Kanuma had take his words to heart but the latter is still traumatized by him that it makes the whole thing hilarious.

I love them, i love their interactions. i wanted to be a fly buzzing thru them just to hear whatever the Suo said to Kanuma because he's a shit stirrer and he's proud of it.

Even if i do pair them with anyone else, they're still gonna have that weird tension between them that i will fondly hold close to my heart. They give me "i can fix him energy" and SUO DID, while also giving him nightmares 😃👍.

as jooha’s gets a little older, he doesn’t go to the office nearly as much because the boys know he doesn’t really care for it. but sometimes if the bullying at school is particularly bad, he’ll stop by after school and just lie in the corner of the practice room his dads are in and read.

They ask the choreographer if they can turn the music down just slightly for the rest of the day— Not just because Jooha’s trying to focus but because they know he’s sensitive to the loud noises. Everyone’s on board for having a chill day after Jooha appears. Honestly, they didn’t even realize he fell asleep until it was dinner time, and even though they weren’t too hungry, they realized they needed to feed their son.

“How long has he been out?” one of them asks quietly.

Haechan sits on the couch and slowly lifts Jooha’s head onto his lap. “Couldn’t be more than an hour, right?” He takes Jooha’s glasses off so he can rest more comfortably.

“Why’d he come today?” Jaehyun asks. He crouches down in front of the couch so he can get a good look at his son, his worry growing. “He hates being here…” He brushes Jooha’s hair out of his face.

Taeyong moves Jooha’s book so it doesn’t get messed up. “Is he getting bullied again?” He bookmark’s Jooha’s page then puts the book in his backpack.

They look at Yuta who immediately pulls out his phone to text Reyna who will have all the answers. In the mean time, Doyoung orders Jooha’s favorite delivery food meal, and he orders extra for Jooha to eventually take home to his mom and sister.

“Maybe we should talk to his teacher again,” Jungwoo offers as he crouches beside Jaehyun whose shoulder he uses as a pillow as they admire their son. “Hyung?”

Johnny nods an agreement and sighs. They’ve tried to give Jooha his space to handle school issues on his own because he was adamant that his dads wouldn’t always be around to save him… But Jooha’s arrival at the office was an indication that things were perhaps getting worse instead of better, because why else would he be there and in a little bit of a cranky mood?

“Rey says she heard that maybe that kid Woosik is still giving him trouble, but she isn’t sure,” Yuta finally says.

Jaehyun sighs again. He pats Jungwoo’s hair and looks up at Johnny for help, because there’s nothing he can do officially since he’s not the one on Jooha’s records and paperwork… Johnny’s the only one who can protect their son.

A little while later, when the food comes and Doyoung returns to the practice room with it, Taeyong and Haechan gently wake Jooha up. He whines and rubs his eyes. When did he fall asleep? Why didn’t they wake him up? He should hurry home, eomma is probably worried about him.

“Sit, adeul,” Doyoung encourages.

Mark holds out a pair of chopstick for him. As Jooha sits on the floor and accepts the utensils, Yuta sits beside him, closing in on his personal space to investigate his son closely.

“So… Woosik…”

Taeyong kicks Yuta’s ankle. They were supposed to play it smooth… Gently get the information out of Jooha after he would be reminded that his dads would always have his back. But no, Yuta is on a war path again. He’s ready to find that kid Woosik’s house and threaten him in a million different ways.

Jooha puts his chopsticks down. “I don’t want to talk about it, chichi.”

“So he is still bothering you—“ Mark says.

“Bullying him,” Yuta corrects.

Jooha rolls his eyes. “He’s not bullying me… We had a fight.”

“Did he hit you?” Johnny asks worriedly.

“No, no! Not like that… He, um… He got upset when I told him I didn’t want to go on a date with him.”

All the boys fall silent and stare at Jooha for a good two minutes straight. They didn’t want to be “those guys”, but… is that why Woosik bullied Jooha? Because he had a crush?

“He’s an asshole who’s called me names, stolen my lunch money, pushed me into mud. He’s crazy if he thinks I’m going to date him.”

Im really pissed about all those “‘We can still be friends-‘ no the fuck we can’t” posts because on the very clear and obvious hand, Trump is a fascist and anyone who understands economics, checks and balances and international relationships know that he’ll be a disaster.

But, at the same time, the past few months of honestly celebrating that the Harris campaign did after the first few weeks and especially after the debate (Im just as guilty of it - i was predicting a clear Harris landslide, i had her winning fucking Texas) but we need to do an autopsy of the Harris campaign. I want to preface this by saying it isnt a dealbreaker for me - in spite of the many deficits I think the Harris-Walz ticket - because I voted for her. I knocked on doors for her. But clearly, for a lot of people, dealbreakers that shouldn’t and easily couldn’t have been there were, and if we don’t acknowledge that, we’re never going to win.

So here is my critique of Kamala’s campaign, from the left.

The biggest complaint would be the lack of drilling in on hard issues. We are having a crisis of living in this country, and the primary message of the Harris campaign was “Hey, we’re on the road to recovery and it’s just gonna get better!” So make it a major part of your campaign you want to control prices, rent, etc. As terrible and blatantly obvious as his pr moves were, Trump at McDonalds and in front of a Grocery story was compelling to a lot of americans who are struggling to put food on their plate. A guy who’s saying, in the most fascist strong man way he can, “Only I can fix it.” And when the other guy is saying “Dont worry im working on it,” to the scared and uninformed Trump looks better - obviously any substantive reading of policy makes it clear who’s policies will be better. I Know that - but were there sound bites that could be played ad nausem of Kamala’s policies? As poor of a Businessman he is, Trump is a Salesmen, and Salesmen manipulate, lie and hoodwink people.

What was Kamala’s actual solution to the Border? I know even needing a ‘solution’ is couched in liberalism legalese but instead of a concrete campaign promise, she would rightfully say “Hey, Trump’s plan is insane and he sabotaged mine.” I know that’s true, but why not make that part of your campaign instead of allowing him to manipulate control of the situation. Did any democrat in congress try to reintroduce that bill? If so; why the hell wasn’t that blasting on Fox News and NPR? Don’t make Trump defend his past killing of the hill, make him say “are you going to support this democratic bill that your people like?” Did she say “we’re going to crackdown on losses of jobs to low-wage migrants (by giving them the same protections as American citizen workers because then it isnt just cheaper to nickel and dime the undocumented workers)” or did she just keep playing that former hit? Because while I heard “Ethnic cleansing” a lot of working class people who have lost their jobs to this labor (and dont blame the people responsible, their corporate overlords) heard “More open jobs” and that was enough for them.

Hands down, across the boars, the Democratic messaging on economics was either spotty or non existent and no matter how short sided or bigotted their choice was - Trump got more voters then Kamala in pretty much all demographics. This is not a thing where we can narrow it down to different socieo-ecconomic groups and ask why they didn’t come to the polls for Harris - we need to look at the messaging that, in some diabolical miracle, lead to a Trump victory.

Look; I’m not going to pretend to have all the answers. Honestly, we should’ve had a primary and Joe should’ve dropped out in 2023. But he didn’t, and instead with have yet another example about the Democrats schoochimg towards the middle, ignoring so many problems and allowing the dumbass to Scapegoat his enemies for a victory instead of delving to the root of our political issues - the absolute financial stranglehold the top 1%, made mostly of old white men but this is a war of Capital. And its one that most Americans have no idea they’ve been drafted into, most often on the side of Capital

Oh - and Gaza. The lack of firm answer there is immoral even if openly opposing Israel is political suicide in our current climate. Doesn’t matter, her silence is a condemnation on her - infinitely better then Trump

I know for a fact no one is on here anymore, but doing this has been on the back of my mind for about a week or so.

But I just turned 30. My last almost 15 years of life have been recorded to some extent on here. From my 20s to now my 30s life has been fucking nuts. From going to feeling invincible, to feeling that like everyday is a new challenge of what im going to go through. I remember in like elementary school and middle school, i was like embarrassed of being on the younger end for my class. I would always lie and say that i was born in 93 instead of 94. Such a weird thing. and before i turned 21, i wasnt pressed on going downtown to the bars and clubs cause i know when my time came it would be fine. But gdamn, my 20s are gone. I cant help to reflect on the life ive lived. From college, to my first real job, first time living on my own money, relationships, covid, grad school, and to the last major things of buying a house and getting engaged. like what tf am I doing, in the back of my head im still that one kid that eats a shit ton, works out alot, and smokes hookah. But in reality im not that person anymore lol. i used to be very resistant on change but, i know its inevitable but it does still bums me out a bit. I think it bummed me out before because up until recently, ive been very deprived from my friends. I felt bad reaching out, and I felt like i was being a burden hitting them up. But like now, id rather reach out and see them rather than feel like im missing out. But ive seen more friends in the past few months than I feel like i have in the past few months combined. I know social connection is a big part of being healthy, but i didnt realize it was like that for me. But it makes sense, for almost almos the whole time i was in richmond, i was constantly around friends. but as a real adult that shit is kinda hard, gotta cross reference everyones schedules and shit. but like honestly its better than nothing, and i dont think i could do that shit for a extended amount of time lol. and life is just so fucking different know, fucking mortage and house stuff. and still trying to exercise regularly and be an adult.

i almost never want to plan anything for my birthday cause i dont like that feeling of being a burden or w/e. But it just happned to be that arvin moved back home and we got lunch the day before with matt. and that night we hung out at a hookah bar. Ive been so scared with the random health shit ive been dealing with but hookah actually calmed me down a lot for some reason. and Im trying really hard not to get back into the habit of smoking on a regular basis. after smoking for 10 years man, that shit would fuck me up. not the smoking, but feeling reliant on something. Shit addiction is fucking real. Im blessed to be able to pull myself away from shit like that, but i know in the back of my head i know that shit would feel so nice lol. Even when i was vaping, that shit didnt hit as good as a hookah lol.

but yeah life is different. getting settled in the house, gonna plan for a wedding of some sort in the near future, trying to get the house figured out. life is just fucking wild to me right now.

the 20s i definately learned a shit ton. I feel fucking old talking like that, but like its fucking true. the kids in their 20s now have like no idea how to live like we did. i hope i can get to a point where i can be good mentally and physically to live life a little bit of what i used to. I always hear that the 30s is like your 20s with more money, which makes me hella excited. but yeah, im 30 now, idk the next time ill be on here. ill probably come on here once in a while until it dies off forever. I lowkey want to go back into my shit and read some stuff, but i honestly cant bring myself to dig through that shit lol.
