“Eddie,” Buck says. He sticks his head around the corner. “Mara wants help with her homework. Are you better at science or at playing princesses?” “Uh,” Eddie says. “I’m pretty bad at science?” “Jee?” Buck calls. When she comes around the corner, she’s got a blanket train wrapped around her shoulders and one of her stuffed toys in her hand. “Can Eddie do princesses with you?” Jee looks at Eddie. Eddie looks at Jee. She tugs on Buck’s sleeve. He leans down; she whispers something in his ear. Buck straightens up. “You’re approved,” he says, grinning. “Eddie—princess crowns are in the toy box. Jee—take good care of him.” He gives Eddie a thumbs up before disappearing back to Mara’s room, very you got this! Eddie wants to remind him that between the two of them, Eddie’s the one who has a kid.

yknow I really didn't think it was possible to make me angrier at JK Rowling but then I found out she wrote a book abt an autistic person being sucked into a cult (that's totally not an analogy for trans people what you talking abt) because they just can't possibly know what's good for them, they need their fathers to come and hire private investigators to get them out of a cult. And in the book autistic people are referred to by the r slur and called "a bit simple".
