Dating Lessons {Part 1/2}
GOT7 Jaebum x Reader Genre: Bartender!JB / Fluff/ Angst / Suggestive Warning: No real warnings… just coarse language. The real warnings come in part 2 Word Count: 11k+ A/N: i’m drowning in Jaebum feels. someone help me. I broke down this “one shot” into two parts because I realized it was getting really long. Part 2 will be released as soon as I can! (I should be studying for my final). ALSO mature content to follow…
Part 2:
Summary:
You never imagined that you would request help on your dating game, especially from the random bartender you barely knew. Could he do it? Would he be able to transform you into a tempting seductress who would have men falling at your feet? Jaebum always liked a challenge when it came to women, he just never thought that this sort of challenge would arise. He closed himself off from love, but would he be able to help you find it?
To say you were out of your comfort zone was an understatement. You never came to a place like this but there was a reason you sat waiting at the bar amongst the dimmed lighting and musky surroundings. The man you had been seeing for the last couple of weeks had asked to meet you. You were excited, the feeling that circulated your surroundings was intimate. You hoped things were finally going to progress between you and Hanbin. You had hoped that this was the moment where he might actually ask you to be his girlfriend. In truth, you had fallen for him so hard and fast and it surprised you that he had even spent time with a woman like you. You were the type that preferred comfort over style, always wondering how other women had the time and motivation to go beyond the basics of mascara and foundation. In short, you were completely opposite from the women you expected him to be interested in. He was already fifteen minutes late but you figured it may have been traffic. Then you started getting carried away with your imagination, maybe he was stopping by to get you flowers or a gift. The thought of him showing up with your favourite flowers in hand had you flushing, the giddiness spreading over you.
“Can I get you anything to drink?” The dark haired bartender asked you while setting a coaster down in front of you.
Jaebum wondered if he should have asked you for ID first. You looked a lot younger than most of the other women who frequented a place like this. aEven the way you acted was as if it was your first time ever in a bar. However, the sound of your honeyed voice and your taste in wine hinted to him otherwise.
“Do you have riesling?”
He grinned, “I’m sure I can crack open a bottle.” He placed the wine glass in front of you then proceeded to uncork the bottle of wine. You continued to glance around the bar, shifting in your seat to view the entrance and sitting straight up whenever someone walked in only to slouch back in your seat.
“Waiting for someone?” he asked as he started to pour the wine for you.
“My boyfriend,” you answered, preoccupied while watching the door. Then you caught yourself, “I mean, friend. A guy that I’ve been seeing, who’s not my boyfriend but that I hope to be my boyfriend. I think we’re taking the next step.” You rambled. “We’ve been seeing each other for a couple weeks. We’re probably getting serious.”
Jaebum smiled, “Congrats.” His attention diverted to the brunette that sat on the other side of the bar who he noticed was staring at him throughout the night. Now that was the type of woman he was used to seeing here. She differed from you in which she wore her tight fitting top and no doubt her push up bra that accentuated the swells of her breast through the dipping neckline. Jaebum had been part of this scene long enough that he started developing a sense of people. The man in the rugged grey suit who had requested a bottle of Jack’s was obviously drowning his misery. Job lay off? Divorce? Middle aged crisis? Either or Jaebum knew to avoid going there as much as as possible unless he wanted to get his ear talked off and lectured about when the man was as young as Jaebum once. The man who ordered two dirty martinis who kept facing away from the bar and looking out to the rest of lounge was obviously on the prowl. Looking for a woman who would most likely be out of his league to hit on. Jaebum would keep an eye on him to make sure he didn’t make any unwelcome advances on women. The sultry brunette who had been eyeing JB through the top of her glass. No doubt by the end of the night she would try and slip him her number or if she was bold enough she would even ask him what time he’s off. Some days, depending on his mood he would take them upstairs to his loft where he lived. Then there was you. In a place like this you stood out. You looked like you were meant to be at home snuggled on the couch, the cream sweater you wore doing little to accentuate your curves, if you had them.
Twenty minutes had passed and Jaebum still noticed that you sat there by yourself. Anxiously waiting for your soon- to- be boyfriend to arrive. He had seen this many times before, you were getting stood up. He felt sympathy towards you after seeing your excitement earlier. He was about to walk over to you and offer to pour you another drink to console you when a tall, well dressed man wearing a suit came and sat beside you. That was another type that hung around places like this. Well off no doubt, as he noticed the extravagant watch on his wrist. He noticed how excited you had become and Jaebum smiled to himself. In all his years working here something always managed to surprise him. Good for you two. It was a nice change for once to see such polar opposites be together. The man beside you held up his hand, snapping his fingers at Jaebum and signalling him to come and take his order. Typical, treating him like a dog yet Jaebum put on a face as he walked over.
“What can I get you?” He said laying out the coaster.
“Whiskey,” Hanbin ordered barely acknowledging Jaebum, his eyes scanning the rest of the lounge.
“Was traffic bad?” you asked Hanbin.
“Hmm? Oh no, it was smooth sailing.” Hanbin answered. Jaebum set the tumbler down in front of Hanbin and then proceeded to top up your glass with more wine. Then why was he late? Jaebum thought in his head.
Hanbin sipped at the whiskey then scrunched up his face, “You think they’d have better quality,” he muttered under his breath. Jaebum pretended not to hear it as he wiped down the counter near you two. “Anyways Y/N, I’m sure you probably know why I wanted to meet you here.” He grinned at you and you felt the flutter in your chest.
Jaebum didn’t mean to eavesdrop but he found it intriguing. He lingered by you two, acting as if he was preoccupied with wiping the glasses and stacking them.
“I think I do know why,” you bit your bottom lip in anticipation.
“Actually the reason I was late was because I was getting this,” Hanbin said as he started reaching into his pocket.
This was it. Your big moment and what was going to be the start of your new relationship with Hanbin. The last time you been in a relationship was the summer after your first year in college with your chemistry lab partner Jinyoung. You didn’t even know if you would consider it a relationship or just a summer fling considering two hadn’t even really dated or gone out in public. Most of your time together had been spent in bed. The physical chemistry was completely there but emotionally, you two were on different pages. Hanbin was smart, charming and a well known successful entrepreneur. You were even surprised that a man like him had even approached you in the first place. You had to admit that he wooed you just by saying ‘hello’. Now three weeks after your first meeting and after multiple dinner dates where you spent the evening being wined and dined with in depths conversations about his work things were about to progress. Eagerly you waited for his little surprise, the anticipation growing more and more.
“Here it is,” he grinned.
You tried to mask the confusion on your face when he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket. Then you softened, did he write a letter confessing his feelings for you? You didn’t peg Hanbin as the soft romantic type.
You grinned up at him, “Hanbin you didn’t have to do this kind of gesture. All you had to do was just ask,” you started unfolding the piece of paper.
“I didn’t know if that would be too forward,” Hanbin sipped at his whiskey then tapped against his glass, signalling Jaebum for another refill.
Reluctantly Jaebum started to fill the tumbler. Glancing at you from the corner of his eyes to watch your reaction and to see what he had prepared for you. When the tumbler was full Hanbin waved his hand, dismissing Jaebum. The annoyance started to build up within him, who did this guy think he was and what were you doing with some pompous jerk. Still despite being “dismissed” Jaebum lingered near you two, now even more intrigued.
“Don’t be silly Hanbin. I wouldn’t find it-” you paused when you finally read the letter. This was not a note of endearment confessing his feelings for you. You looked at him to see him staring back at you eagerly.
“I was thinking you can pass it to your father. I heard he’s looking for new investment opportunities and so I drafted a business plan that he could look into.”
“A business plan,” you repeated, staring blankly at him.
He nodded, taking another big gulp of whiskey. “It’ll be the perfect opportunity for development and certainly worth his money.” you continued you stare at him. “And you know Y/N…” he flashed his grin at you, “I was thinking you can talk to him since we’re both acquaintances.”
“Acquaintances?” you repeated him once again. You knew it was too good to be true. Hanbin hadn’t approached you for you. He had approached you because of your father and your father’s money. You felt hurt, almost betrayed. All that time spent together was not for Hanbin and you to develop a relationship but for him to grease his way into a meeting with your father.
Hanbin noticed the expression on your face change, “Y/N, you weren’t expecting something else were you? I mean, this is just business between the two of us,” He gulped the remaining contents of his drink. “I mean, you aren’t the usual type I would go for but I wouldn’t mind a quick f-”
“More whiskey?” Jaebum interrupted. He had heard everything and guessed that Hanbin’s next proposition wasn’t about to be a business one.
Hanbin shifted his glass towards Jaebum, “Watch it!” Hanbin said yanking his hand away when Jaebum had “accidently” spilt on his hand.
Jaebum looked at you, “More wine?” You shook your head, focusing your attention back to Hanbin and what he was about to say to you, feeling the anger build up. “What was it you were about to say?”
That caught Jaebum off guard, were you naive?
Hanbin reached for your hand, “I was going to propose a deal. You be a good girl and give your father my business proposal and set up a meeting with him and I. Then to commemorate I’ll reward you with a good fuck. You would like that wouldn’t you?” His words had begun to slur and you could smell the whiskey from his breath. What had made you so attracted to this guy in the first place?
Jaebum cursed under his breath, about to interject and say something but you spoke first. “You know what, Hanbin,” you smiled at him and watched as the glimmer of hope crossed his face, “Go fuck yourself.” You said as you pulled your hand away from his, reaching for his whiskey glass and splashing the contents directly to his face.
You could see the bartender smirk from the corner of your eyes. The rest of the lounge focused their attention towards your little show. “And no. I will not be giving this business proposal to my father because he has better things to invest his money into,” You said ripping up the plan.
“You bitch,” Hanbin sputtered, “Hey you, give me a napkin will ya?”
“Sorry, I don’t think it’s quality enough for you,” Jaebum said sarcastically.
“Screw this,” Hanbin stormed out of the lounge.
When Hanbin was gone and out of sight you sunk in your seat, breathing out a sigh of relief. Even if you looked like you were composed at that moment you weren’t and you were even surprised you managed not to miss. Your hands were shaking so much from anger and nerves.
“You idiot. Stupid stupid stupid,” you mumbled to yourself, running your hands over your face and then fisting them into your hair. Then you groaned resting your head against the counter. “What is my luck with men?”
Jaebum smiled, he was impressed with the you, watching you throw the whiskey in his face had been extremely satisfying to watch. Then when you ripped up the business plan and told that dirtbag to go fuck himself Jaebum felt a sense of pride and it was strange. Just who were you?
You looked up at the bartender across from you, the color rising to your cheeks. “Do you have anything stronger than this?”
Jaebum chuckled, “You bet,” he said as he set out another glass for you. Instead of giving you just plain hard liquor he started mixing his own concoction. Thinking of the flavours he thought you might like, basing it off your taste in wine.
You watched the way he poured a mixing of contents into the cocktail shaker. Then as he mixed the drink, you noted the way the white dress shirt strained against his body as he moved. The buttons of his sleeves rolled up, the muscles in his forearm flexing with each movement. Your eyes lingered to his face, a sharp defined jawline but soft eyes. You would have noticed him earlier if you hadn’t wasted your thoughts on Hanbin. He was handsome no doubt, and the way the busty brunette eyed him you knew you had no chance.
He poured the drink into the glass in front of you and you smiled at him, “Thanks. Sorry about the scene earlier.”
“It’s okay. Sorry he was such a jerk.” He watched as you took a sip from the high ball he created, and was satisfied when your face lit up in response.
“Excuse me,” the brunette signalled for Jaebum, impatient and annoyed that he wasn’t giving her the attention she wanted.
“One second,” he said as he made his way over to the busty brunette.
He leaned over the counter. You watched the two of them interact as you sipped at your drink, she would giggle and then place her hand on his forearm. Brushing her hair behind her shoulders no doubt to give him a full view of her cleavage. She would bite her bottom lip whenever he spoke and whisper into his ear in response. That was one thing you didn’t have. Game. How did one flirt so casually like that and pick up guys from the bar? You started feeling the buzz build, although the highball he had fixed you tasted like juice it packed a punch as you felt your insides warm. The tingling feeling making its way throughout your body and numbing the unpleasant experience with Hanbin. You watched as she paid for her bill and as she got up from her seat you saw her slide the white napkin towards him and you already knew she was giving him her number. He winked at her, casually taking the napkin and sliding it into his pocket. When he turned he made eye contact with you and you felt the heat rise to your cheeks, shifting your attention back to your empty glass.
“Sorry, that took longer than expected,” the bartender who’s name you had yet to learn said. “Can I get you another?”
You nodded, feeling the alcohol run through your system sending you into a type of euphoria. “I bet that happens often,” you mused resting your elbows on the bar as you watched him fix you another drink.
“A few times.”
You sighed, “I wish I had moves like that.”
“She didn’t have moves,” he chuckled.
You cocked your eyebrow, “She didn’t? But she slipped you her number and you were totally flirting with her too.”
“I figured she’d tip good,” he shrugged, setting the glass down in front of you. He rested against the counter, “She knew how to work her body language that’s for sure.”
“So what should she have done differently?” You leaned in, intrigued.
“Giggled less,” he joked.
You laughed, “No seriously,”
Jaebum paused to think about it. Trying to think of a serious answer to give you. “Let me put this metaphorically,” he smiled and leaned in, “Let’s say someone had a basket of the best apples and someone was interested in those apples.” You waited to see where he was going with this “And the person gave all of those apples to the one interested. What would keep them coming back?”
You caught onto what he was trying to say. Then you smiled, “Let me guess. Her breasts are the apples,” Thinking of how her shirt dipped extremely low leaving little for the imagination.
He grinned and held up his hands in defense, “I didn’t say it. You did.”
You sighed, “Well maybe if I start wearing low cut shirts my luck with men will turn around,”
“Are all guys you date like that asshole?” Jaebum asked.
You took another full sip from your drink and shook your head, “That asshole was the first guy I dated in six years,” using your fingers to put air quotes around the word.
Jaebum whistled, “You’ve been out of the dating game a long time. What happened? Rough breakup? Wanted to focus on your career first?”
“I wish that was my excuse. I suck at dating,” you shrugged, “It’s so complicated. How do people even meet someone and start dating?” The alcohol was starting to buzz through your system.
“A lot of ways. You could even meet someone at the bar and have them randomly approach you and offer you a drink.”
“Is that what you would do?”
“It’s part of my job,” Jaebum grinned, “I’m sure your luck will start turning around.”
“Would you date me?” The alcohol in your system starting to take over your actions before you could even process things. As soon as you realized what you said you ran your hands over your face, “Sorry, that was lame. See, I have no game.” You hiccuped.
Jaebum chuckled, “Maybe you need lessons. And to answer your question, I don’t date women whose name I don’t know.”
You smiled, “I’m Y/N.”
He held out his hand, “I’m Jaebum.”
You shook his hand, “Now will you date me?” You teased.
“I’m pretty sure I’m not your type.”
“Oh really? And what is my type?” You cocked your eyebrow. .
“Reliable, committed, wants to settle down and have a family and a dog,” Jaebum grinned.
“And you don’t want a dog?” You pretended to gasp in shock.
He smiled back at you, “I prefer the lone lifestyle,”
“So you don’t date?”
“I date, I just don’t commit.” Jaebum admitted, picking up the empty glass in front of you. After one experience, he learned it’s better to not invest all your feelings into someone because in the end you just get hurt.
“Fear of commitment?” You asked.
“Just don’t see the benefit in relying on anyone else but myself,” he shrugged, not wanting to open up old wounds. “Do you want another?” He asked
You shook your head, “I think I’ve reached my limit for the night,” you stood up, losing your balance as you did so. Jaebum reached across the bar, grabbing onto your hand.
“Are you okay to go home?”
You nodded, “I’ll call a cab and be fine,” you reached for your purse, “How much is my tab?”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s on the house,” he smiled.
“Are you serious? Won’t you get in trouble?” You looked at him in disbelief.
Jaebum smiled, “Don’t worry about it. My boss and I are pretty close. I’m sure he’ll understand”
You frowned, “Are you pitying me because of my sad dating life?”
Once again he held his hands up in defense, “You said it not me,” he laughed.
“Well thank you. I’ll take your advice too, I won’t give all my apples away,” you winked, “If I have any apples to offer,” you muttered under your breath.
“Yeah it’s hard to see under that sweater,”Jaebum teased hearing what you said.
You shook your head at him and laughed, “Thanks again.”
“Nice meeting you Y/N,” Jaebum waved, already noticing through the corner of his eye the greasy guy from earlier not getting the hint from the two girls sitting on the couch. He sighed, “Please, no fists today.” he said as he walked over to intervene.
He preferred evening shifts over day shifts. Who even came to bars during the day? Despite that, he felt guilty for leaving Felix to man the bar by himself so he opted to work although the day was slow. Normally, there was an afternoon lunch time rush but only a few people had trickled in. He used the afternoon lull to go over the stock and start making count for the next order.
“Jaebum, you have a phone call,” Felix called over.
Jaebum looked up from the order sheet, “For me? Who is it?”
Felix shrugged, “It’s a woman and that’s as far as I know.”
“Take over count for me,” Jaebum said as he passed along the order sheet to Felix and swapped with him for the phone. “Hello?”
“Jaebum? Hey. It’s Y/N from the other night,” there was a pause, “the one who splashed whiskey in that asshole’s face.” You clarified.
“Yes, I remember. What’s up?” he chuckled.
“I was.. Just wondering if you’re working today?” you stuttered, “Ah, I guess since I’m talking to you and I called the bar, I answered my own question.” You rambled.
“You called me to see if I was working? Why?”
You sighed, “I need your help.”
Jaebum could picture you in his head, pacing back and forth and smiled at the thought. “With?”
“Will you still be around by five?”
Jaebum glanced at his watch, five was the beginning of happy hour and he wasn’t planning to work the shift considering Felix was working a double and two other bartenders were coming in but he found himself intrigued, “Sure, I’ll be around.”
“Perfect, I’ll see you later!” You hung up.
Felix walked over, “So who’s the lady caller?”
Jaebum took the order sheet back from him, “Just a woman who came into the bar a few nights ago.”
“Ah, another one of your conquests?” Felix teased.
Jaebum laughed, “Get back to work, kid. ” He started checking over Felix’s inventory count to verify for himself. “By the way, I’m sticking around for happy hour.”
Felix looked at him, “Is happy hour going to be a lot happier because your lady caller is coming in? Is she hot? ”
Jaebum hesitated, “She’s not your type.”
Felix grinned, “I thought you knew me by now. Female is my type. If you aren’t interested you can always push her into my direction.”
Jaebum thought about the way you told that sleazeball from the other night off and grinned, “Trust me. You won’t be able to handle her.”
Once again you found yourself walking into the intimate surroundings of the bar. A live band playing and the lounge filled with more people than last time. Most of them still dressed in their business casual attire stopping by for a quick drink before heading home and enjoying the socialization of happy hour. You wormed your way through crowd, keeping an eye on the empty chair at the bar. When you sat down you searched for Jaebum. You couldn’t believe you were here and about to ask for his help. You didn’t know the guy. All you knew was that his name was Jaebum, he was a bartender and that he has a way with women. You didn’t even know if he would agree to what you were about to request.
It didn’t surprise you when you saw him there, leaning against the bar counter talking to not just one but two women. Did those two women have game? Or were they giving away all their apples as Jaebum had put it before.
“What can I get you?” The young copper haired bartender asked.
“Riseling please,” you ordered.
You debated if you should tell him to let JB know you were here but you decided against it. Not wanting to interrupt his moment with the two ladies, in fact you wanted to observe the two women, study their body language and see if you could imitate any of their actions.
Jaebum could barely focus on the conversation with the two ladies in front of him. He wondered if it was because he had been working and standing for more than eight hours or if it was because he was curious about what you needed help with.
“As we were saying,” the blonde in front of him leaned in, “Both my friend and I are from out of town and we’re looking for someone to show us a good time,” she hinted, biting her lower lip as her gaze trailed down his torso. Her red-haired friend giggled, stroking her fingers up and down the stem of her wine glass.
Jaebum was about to respond when Felix brushed passed him, “Sorry, to interrupt I just need to get the bottle of riesling,”
As soon as Jaebum heard he glanced down the bar and saw you sitting there. “I’ll take care of it Felix. Excuse me ladies,” he said grabbing the bottle under the bar and walking towards you, leaving the two women gaping after him in shock. This time instead of a baggy cream sweater, you wore a chic black turtleneck, your hair in a loose low bun.
“You should have told me you arrived,” Jaebum greeted as he started to pour your wine.
You smiled, “I didn’t want to interrupt you,” You said motioning to the two women who had started to glare at you.
“Ah, they’re from out of town or something,” he glanced back towards them, fully aware that he had just passed on an opportunity to spend the night with not one, but two women with no strings attached. However, the curiosity of what you needed help with had been eating at him since you hung up.
You sipped at your wine, “Okay, I’ll just cut to the chase.”
“Okay,” he said leaning in, relaxing his posture.
“Remember when I was talking about my pitiful dating life and you said something like ‘maybe you need lessons’. Well, I want you to help me date.” You put forth.
“What?”
“I just…” You stuttered, already embarrassed that you had made this sort of request in the first place. “Look, you’re a man.”
“Yeah,”
“And from what I’ve seen you seem to know women, and how women should act and I’m just going to say it but I have no game at all. As you could probably tell and from what you have witnessed. I know you don’t know me but I promise I’m a good person just looking for love. So please will you mentor me and teach me how to date.” By the end of your little spiel you were out of breath.
Jaebum remained silent for a second, trying to process everything you were saying. “So let me get this straight. You want me,” he said pointing to himself, “To help you date?” he said pointing back towards you.
You finished the remaining contents of your wine, “Yes.”
“Surely you can’t be that bad,” Jaebum tried to reassure.
You shook your head and laughed, “I’m horrible,”
“What about online dating? Speed dating?”
You continued to shake your head, “I’ve tried all that. Nothing is working.”
It sounded like a ridiculous request but as you sat in front him laughing at yourself Jaebum found himself considering it. Although what did he really know? He couldn’t recall the last time he had ever taken a woman out on a date or got to know more about her other than her drink preferences and what was underneath her clothes. It surprised him that you had even thought about asking him, a random stranger who you had met. He had to admit though that it took a lot of guts for you to make such a request and maybe that even stemmed from desperation. He personally couldn’t figure out what the big deal about dating and relationships were but to each their own. He pondered it over, analyzing you as you sat in front of him. Could he do it? Would he be able to transform you into a tempting seductress who would have men falling at your feet? Jaebum always liked a challenge when it came to women, he just never anticipated that this sort of challenge would arise. It was tempting to say the least.
“Alright, I’ll help you.” He caved in, the intrigue pulling him into make the final decision.
“Really?” you grinned with excitement. “Thank you! What can I do to repay you?”
“You can repay me by buying me dinner tonight,” Jaebum said loosening the collar of his shirt. “I’ve been working for more than eight hours and I’m starved.”
“That’s it? Sure, when are you off?”
“Now.” Jaebum said tossing the cloth that was thrown over his shoulder off to the side.
“You can’t just leave you’re in the middle of a shift” You gaped at him, “First you give me free drinks and now you just up and leave during your shift. You’re sure to get fired,”
“It’s pretty hard to fire myself,” Jaebum chuckled, “Felix! I’m heading out for the night. You’re in charge of closing up.” Jaebum called.
“Sure thing, boss” Felix waved.
You stared at him in shock as you watched him make his way around the bar. “Shall we?” he said pointing towards the exit.
“You own this place?”
Jaebum nodded, “I guess if I’m helping you, we’ll get to know each other more.” He grinned.
There were so many driving factors that had pushed you to ask Jaebum for help with dating. Your incident with Hanbin had been one of them. Another was during family dinner when they discussed your little cousin Lily’s upcoming wedding and how you should “bring a date”. Short after that your little sister had made side comments about how her older sister would turn into a cat lady. Your father had tried to defend you by saying that if you had no significant other at least someone would be able to hold the family name, which did little to boost your ego. The tip of the iceberg had been when you had run into an old friend who kept raving on and on about her new happily married life. She tried to stick her nose into your dating life, and even gave you a pity pat on your shoulder saying how “not everyone is meant to find someone. At least you’re a strong independent woman.” That had been the tipping point for you. Her words had meant to be comforting but all you felt was bitterness.
Why Jaebum of all people? One, was that he seemed to know a lot about women and women seemed to flock towards him. If he was able to tell you the dos and don'ts of what women can do to get a man’s attention that could aid you in your quest for love. As cheesy as it sounded. Second, Jaebum was a complete stranger. If he had said no then that was that. You would never have to see him again and face the humiliation that you had made such a request. You still couldn’t believe he had agreed. That night when you two had gone out for dinner you were expecting instant advice and him to just dive right into it, thinking it’d be a one night lesson however that wasn’t the case. During dinner he had gotten to know you a little more or rather interviewed you. What you did for living, family dynamics, past relationships and the type of men you were into. After that Jaebum had asked you what your end goal was out of this. Did you want to just date as many men as possible? Was there a timeline? To which you responded that you were just in search for a good guy, that could possibly lead to a long term relationship. You didn’t know about marriage and all those future details. All you knew was that you wanted someone you could go to talk about your day, to go out and have dinner with and sweet walks with in the evening. Who checked up on you just to hear your voice and send you flowers at the most random times. Romance, that’s what you needed and you threw in intimacy. You clarified with him that you didn’t mean intimacy in the ‘you wanted to get laid’ kind of way but just intimacy related to companionship. There was no deadline for this to happen and you weren’t expecting to instantly get a guy. However, if you did happen to get one before your cousin’s wedding that’d be a bit of a bonus. You had expected Jaebum to laugh at all your answers and tease you. Maybe even say it’s unrealistic but he had listened intently. Taking you seriously when you might not have if someone had said those answers to you. You didn’t know what was driving him to help you. He clarified that he didn’t want anything in return.
Weeks had passed and you had found yourself visiting the bar at least once or twice a week. You had frequented the bar so often that even the rest of the staff started to know who you were, already setting out a glass of riesling before you would even order. While Jaebum worked you would sit there, scribbling down notes on a notepad so you would remember little things he would tell you. Jaebum always teased you saying it wasn’t necessary and that you were being too keen but you wanted to gain as much from this experience as possible. His advice or “lessons” were simple. If the guy doesn’t make the effort to see you or speak to you he isn’t worth it. He will make it happen. You loved when he reminisced on a story of when he was in high school, long before social media and texting how he would sit inside a convenience store, drinking strawberry milk just to see his crush walk past every day after school. You couldn’t picture it now, Jaebum waiting for a woman to notice him. Every time you had come into the bar he managed to grab the attention of at least one woman. Other time’s Jaebum’s advice had been put metaphorically. He had once said that dating is like shopping. You think you find the right pair of jeans but when you put them on they don’t fit right no matter how much you like the idea of the pants. You keep trying to find a way to make it work, squeezing into them, trying to change yourself to fit the look of the jeans. When really you should just move on, let go of the idea and try on others. The main point that he said was to not try and change yourself just for that one pair of jeans when there are others or in this case, don’t change yourself for that one man.
When you had initially asked Jaebum to teach you how to get into the dating game you would have assumed it would have been like the movies you see on tv. The ones where the guy or girl go through drastic changes, makeovers looking like a completely new person but that wasn’t the case with Jaebum. In fact, nothing about your physical appearance changed. There was a time when you walked into the bar, a shopping bag full of cosmetics.
“You don’t need all that,” Jaebum said placing a crate full of freshly washed glasses on the counter.
“The lady at the store said if I use this thing called ‘highlight’ it would make me glow, or something like that.” You shrugged.
“ I don’t see how adding more makeup would fix your dating game. You’re already beautiful.” Jaebum shrugged as he started wiping down the glasses.
Your jaw dropped when he said that, “You just called me beautiful,”
“What, you never had a guy say that to you before?” Jaebum grinned as he started wiping down the glasses.
“Not any guy who wasn’t my relative. Do you really think so? You aren’t just being nice about it?” You pushed.
Jaebum paused what he was doing to look at you. You shifted in your seat as you watched his eyes trail over you and felt a clutch in your stomach when his gaze stopped at your lips for a split second, then it continued down. You tugged at the plain white t-shirt you wore, feeling yourself magnified under his gaze. You hoped that he had really meant it, but you didn’t know why him saying that affected you so much.
Jaebum broke his gaze reaching for another glass and started to continue what he was doing before, “Yeah, you’re beautiful.” He commented.
There were many moments throughout the time you had spent with Jaebum that left you feeling shook. The first time he said you were beautiful was the top of your list. It hadn’t just been about receiving dating tips from him. In the short amount of time that you had spent with Jaebum, you truly enjoyed his company. You frequented the bar often but it wasn’t the only place where you and Jaebum spent time together. Some nights you would go out for dinner if he had enough staff to man the bar, sometimes a quick bite for lunch when he’d show up unexpectedly at your work. If you two both had a long day, a night in either at his loft or your place had become a thing. He had become more than acquaintance, he had become a friend.
Jaebum didn’t understand why you felt like you needed to come to him for advice on dating. If anything he thought what you needed to work on was your confidence. That had been his number one tip that he frequently told you. You were intelligent, funny, cute and beautiful though you found it hard to believe even after he had openly admitted it.
“So why the fear of commitment?” You said reaching over to the box and grabbing another slice of pizza.
“What?” Jaebum’s attention moved from the tv to you.
You were the first woman to ever have come to his loft more than once. On the nights where he wasn’t manning the bar you two would spend your “lessons” upstairs at his place. He didn’t complain, you were the one bringing over takeout or on the rare occasion even cooking dinner for the both of you. He glanced at you, already you had made yourself more than comfortable in his place already familiar with your surroundings from being over so often. You sat there cross-legged on his sofa, you even helped yourself to wearing one of his sweatshirts and he watched as you ate your third slice of pizza. Once again he noted how different you were from the women that frequented the bar or the ones that he usually had come over. That was another thing, ever since you two had started spending time together he hadn’t been with any other woman. He couldn’t quite put his finger on why he kept turning down the opportunities but oddly enough he was okay with it.
You bit into the pizza, wiping at the corner of your mouth with your thumb. “Way back when I met you said you don’t rely on anyone else other than yourself. Why is that?”
“I just have my reasons,” Jaebum shrugged thinking about old wounds.
“Come on, I talk to you about my lame dating life. Spill,” you prodded.
Jaebum sighed and you knew that you had cracked him though you weren’t expecting he’d give in so easily. You set aside the slice of pizza and folded your knees against your chest getting into a more comfortable position.
“It’s your typical story. I fell in love, gave her almost everything I had only to have everything fall to pieces and left with nothing but that empty void for a while.” you watched as a far off look came into his eyes. “After that I see no reason nor do I wish to invest my feelings into anyone else.” There was a silence between you two, the tv playing in the background but neither of you paid attention. It was a long time ago yet the wounds felt fresh. Since then Jaebum kept himself guarded and at a distance from any other feeling besides lust. Only accepting the basic desire that everyone craved but not letting it delve beyond that.
It was sudden and out of the blue but the next thing Jaebum realized was that you had moved and wrapped your arms around him. Your body was soft against his, there was a faint smell of lavender from your perfume, something he never noticed you wore before.
“I know this is weird,” You murmured resting your head into the crook of his neck. Taking in the subtle scent of fresh linen. “I just felt the need to comfort you. Thank you for sharing with me.” You wouldn’t have thought to associate this scent with him, you were expecting him to smell of sandalwood but that wasn’t the case. Fresh linen, reminding you of comfort except masculine and something about it had you wondering what he would taste like it. His lips. There were so many times where you had found your gaze focused on his mouth as he talked to you. As your arms wrapped around his broad shoulders a feeling of yearning delved deep into your body. It had been so long since you even had any form of physical contact with a man.
Comfort. Jaebum ruminated over that word. Something he never sought or had other than in the forms of physical needs. When he thought back on the empty feeling he had felt before, the distrust he experienced and betrayal he had never thought that anything or anyone could ease that feeling and negativity he had. Yet, with you in his arms he felt it. Comfort. That new and sudden realization now brought forth something else in him and he couldn’t have that. He wouldn’t allow it.
He cleared his throat, bringing his hands to your arms and pulling you away from him. You looked up at him, your soft eyes and smile, wearing his sweatshirt. What was this? Jaebum thought to himself and as soon as he asked himself that he knew that was the number one red flag. He put more distance between himself and you on the couch.
“Sorry,” you apologized. “I didn’t mean to invade your space like that,” You were glad that the room was dimly lit, hiding the color that rose to your cheeks. You tried to ignore the upset feeling you felt at the slight rejection and the way he had tensed up from your actions. What were you thinking? He would never consider you like that. You weren’t his type and you were fully aware of that, remembering your end goal. Jaebum was just there to help you date other men.
Jaebum brushed that confusing feeling he felt to the back of his mind. Trying to refocus on what you needed, what you wanted and he knew that he wasn’t that. “You know, I don’t think there’s much else I need to help you with. I think I gave you most of my advice.” he stated.
“Oh, is that so?” You asked, but felt the disappointment develop. Was all of this going to come an end? What other reason could you have to spend more time with Jaebum?
“Why don’t we put things to the test? This weekend there’s a private event being held downstairs at the bar. It’ll be a great way to start socializing,” Jaebum offered, yet when he did a part of him had started to regret it but once again he pushed that feeling away.
“Do you think I’m ready?”
He smiled softly, “I’m telling you Y/N, all you need is confidence.”
Confidence. That was something he had reiterated so many times but something he was worried about. Did he instill confidence in you? Would the weeks leading up to this be successful? And the thing that had occupied his thoughts and the main reason behind this anxious feeling he felt, was he confident that he could fight past whatever effect you had on him? If you met someone tonight, he’d be happy. As he thought about it there was a heavy feeling in his chest that had himself doubting and once again he questioned himself. He’d be happy for you, right?
The lounge had started to fill with people. No one had particularly stood out to him, so far Jaebum deemed them all as not good enough for you. He thought he had a system going, he would do it based on their order of drink and style. Yet that method wasn’t doing any good. The guy who ordered a beer and wore a light denim dress shirt was not classy enough for you. Then the man who came in wearing a well tailored suit who ordered a brandy was too classy and he assumed high maintenance. The private event seemed to host a variety of different people, both women and men. He had been in the midst of a conversation with a brunette woman when you had walked in.
“Um?” the woman had said when Jaebum stopped mid sentence, looking at the entrance when he saw you.
“Sorry?” Jaebum said reverting his attention back to the woman in front him. He still watched you from his peripheral, making your way towards the bar.
He had been completely wrong. You had curves, they were just hidden underneath all those loose fitting sweaters and modest clothing. The black satin material clung to your body, moving with every step you took towards the bar. He had once said that you didn’t need makeup and that still held true, your face was almost bare aside from your glossed lips and the faint color of blush that added warmth to your features. Your hair had been tousled off to the side, accentuating the daintiness of your neckline. He wasn’t the only one who noticed. As you walked through the lounge several other gazes lingered on you and he saw the approval in the mens eyes. It was strange that as he noticed them staring he felt an annoyance build up in his gut, and he actively had to unclench his fist that rested against the counter of the bar. In this moment as you walked towards the bar, everything around him seemed to quiet. The voice of the woman who sat across from him muffled, all he could focus on was you. Then when you finally sat down, you smirked at him and he swore for a minute his breath was taken away. What was going on and who the hell was this woman sitting just inches away from him?
It took every amount of effort not to tug on the hem of your dress as you sat down. It had been awhile since you wore anything like this. This dress wasn’t even new, it was tucked in the back of your closet amongst the other clothes you had worn back in your college years. You had tried to put more effort into your face however your hand eye coordination failed you when you tried to put on eyeliner leaving you to wash off all your makeup and stick to just the basics. Even your hair hadn’t worked for you, you wanted loose curls yet it ended up falling flat, therefore pushing it off to the side had been your only option. Despite all that you had tried to remain confident, even noticing a few glances and heads turning as you walked through the familiar surroundings of the bar. When you saw Jaebum at the bar, a breath of relief washed over you, feeling that sense of comfort. Except, something was strange. The way he looked at you was different than other times. It had you shifting in your seat uncomfortably. Did he not like what he saw?
For once Jaebum felt nervous approaching you. His heart was racing fast and he felt the adrenaline rush through his body. Why was he so nervous to approach you? You were the same woman who he had spent countless relaxed nights with over pizza and alcohol. Then again, during those times you weren’t wearing a dress that could make any men grovel on his knees.
“You made it,” Jaebum smiled, trying to make his tone sound as even as possible.
You grinned, “It took longer than expected to get ready,”
Already Jaebum started to pull out a wine glass when a man came and approached you.
“Can I order you a martini?” He rested his arm against the counter, already moving into your personal space.
You glanced at Jaebum and out of the corner of your eye, you saw him shake his head. Taking his nonverbal sign of disapproval you looked at the man, although he seemed nice enough, you trusted Jaebum’s instincts. “I’ve already ordered a drink. Thank you though,” you said politely as Jaebum smirked and set out the wine glass in front of you.
Encounters like that happened throughout the night as you sat there sipping your wine. Men had approached you, offering to buy you a drink. Some even had the other bartenders serve you a drink that they had ordered. Even if Jaebum wasn’t near you or manning the bar at a distance. You would always catch his eye in which he would once again shake his head subtly, taking it as your cue to politely reject the man. This was the most you had ever rejected anyone and as the encounters continued to occur the more your confidence grew.
You sighed when Jaebum came back to you and to check on how things were going. “If you keep having me reject every man that offers to buy me a drink there’s going to be no one left,” you pouted.
“I’m just waiting for the right guy to come a long,” Jaebum explained, so far every guy that approached Jaebum already felt like they weren’t the right fit, yet he didn’t know what exactly it was he looking. He just knew that no guy seemed right for you. “Did I mention that you look beautiful tonight?”
That had been the second time Jaebum had called you beautiful and this time more than the last your heart leaped in your chest, butterflies and giddiness rushing through your stomach at his simple compliment.
“Thank you,” you smiled.
It was a mild accomplishment. This time when he had complimented you, you didn’t question him or act in disbelief. Instead you had accepted it and Jaebum knew that in the time you had spent with him there had been some progress.
“I’m just heading to the back to get more glasses. Will you be okay by yourself?” He needed to grab the glasses a while ago yet he had been so hesitant to leave you by yourself. It was ridiculous he knew, but for some reason he just couldn’t take his eyes off you.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to reject every guy who tries to approach me,” you teased, “Unless it’s Zac Efron,” you laughed.
Jaebum smiled, “Be right back,”
A few minutes had passed and you thought this had been the end to guys approaching you. Thinking you had been in the clear you finally relaxed your posture, resting your elbows against the bar.
“Hello, beautiful lady. I took it upon myself to bring you a white wine spritzer,”
You turned to see a man with slicked backed hair.
“That’s very nice of you but no thanks,” you politely rejected.
Still the man took it upon himself to sit down beside you. Shifting his seat closer, “What’s a beautiful woman like you doing sitting at the bar by yourself? Would you like some company?”
The vibe you were receiving from the guy sent a chilling and creepy feeling down your spine. “I’m currently waiting for someone right now,” you said, anxiously keeping an eye out for Jaebum to return.
“Well if you don’t want some company now,” his fingers brushed along the hem of your dress, touching the bare skin of your thigh, “How about later? Come on, let’s not play hard to get darling.”
You frowned, feeling repulsed. Before you could say anything you heard a deep voice behind you.
“I believe the lady said she is waiting for someone.” The tone sharp and deep.
You turned around to see a man, with dark hair and broad shoulders. He looked down at you and smiled, placing his hand on your shoulder, “Sorry I’m late honey. Is this man bothering you?”
Honey? You looked up at the man in confusion and saw the subtle wink and it clicked for you. You smiled, reaching to touch his hand on your shoulder, “Not at all, I believe he was just leaving.” You smirked at the creepy guy beside you.
He looked between you and the man who stood behind you. Knowing very well that he would lose if this came down to a fight he stood up, muttering as he walked away and distancing himself away from the two of you.
When you were sure he was far away enough from you, you let out a sigh of relief. Turning to face your white knight. This time seeing him fully, he was handsome. Strong cheekbones and dark brown eyes, his hair styled up and wearing a casual sports coat.
“Thank you, ”
He smiled, “No problem, he was a creep. I figured you could have handled it on your own considering you’ve been rejecting guys from left and right but I thought I’d help you move things along more quickly,”
You laughed, “Ah, so you’ve been watching me?”
“I was going to take my chances too but I didn’t have the guts to get rejected,” he chuckled.
“Guess we’ll never know if I would have rejected you or not,” you teased catching yourself off guard. Were you flirting?
“I guess not,” he shrugged
He started to turn around and you quickly panicked, was that it? “Wait!” You called out, “Why don’t you try asking me now?” You don’t know what came over you, maybe it was your newly found confidence.
He grinned, “Can I buy you a drink?”
“I like Riesling,” you answered.
You thought about it. There was nothing wrong with accepting a drink from someone who had just saved you from a gross encounter. Though you didn’t know if Jaebum would have approved of him or not. You figured it was time to try and take things into your own hands.
His name was Brian. He was a lawyer for Kang enterprises, a company your father had many dealings with. The two of you started to get to talking, wondering how you two had never crossed paths considering he had frequented your father’s office, where you worked too. Not only that but strangely enough you two were part of the same fitness club. As you were talking with him, in the back of your mind you kept repeating to yourself “don’t give all your apples away,” thinking of Jaebum’s first advice he had given you. To your surprise the conversation seemed to flow nicely and you were impressed with yourself with how well you were doing.
When Jaebum came back from the back room he paused. The man beside you was certainly not Zac Efron, so why hadn’t you rejected him? Jaebum felt the urge to walk over and interrupt. He denied it to himself that it was jealous. As a friend, he just wanted to make sure you were okay and that the guy you were talking with wasn’t some weirdo. It certainly was not jealousy.
“Jaebum.” He heard the all too familiar voice call out to him when he was about to walk towards you.
He froze, feeling his stomach drop. How long had it been since he had last heard her voice? It was probably since that awful and traumatizing day. He turned around and saw her, doing a quick survey of her appearance. She still looked the same, still beautiful and he cursed her for that. The only notable difference was the ring around her left finger.
She shifted awkwardly under his gaze, flushing as he stared at her. “It’s been a while. When I found out the event was happening here I wondered if I would get the chance to see you,” she pulled a smile on her face but Jaebum remained silent. Only staring back at her.
This was the woman who had ruined it all for him. The one he had fell in love with, who he had hoped he was going to spend the rest of his life with. Before the bar and lounge became popular he had struggled to make ends meet. Yet with all his sacrifices he had saved up enough money to buy her the ring of her dreams. Keeping it in his pocket every day until he could find the right time to propose. Only to have one day come to visit her apartment to find her in bed with her more “successful” coworker. He had found out that those late night meetings in the office with that coworker, was more than just going over blueprints and project proposals. While he had worked his ass off for her to give her the life she deserved and wanted to have for her. She was off making love to another guy. The past three years he spent with her down the drain and a waste of his efforts. It was because of her, the woman who stood in front of him smiling as if none of that happened, was the reason he stopped believing in relationships and closing himself off from anyone. She was the reason he became so reliant only on himself.
Silence passed between both her and Jaebum. “I came here with John.” She said pointing to the crowd, “I’m not sure if you remember him. He’s my husband now,”
How could he not remember him. He was the bastard who he found her in bed with. Still he remained silent.
“The bar has really hit it off. Congrats, I know how hard you worked for this place,” she continued to ramble. Then she sighed, “Jaebum, I’m really sorry. How we ended wasn’t right and you didn’t deserve that. I’m really regretful. You were an amazing guy and probably still are. Better than my actual husband,” she muttered under her breath. “I was just thinking, maybe you’d like to go out for dinner or get reacquainted,”
Jaebum didn’t have to question what she meant by that. He could already see the unhappiness in her face as she spoke to him. Years of working at the bar with people and he had seen it happen before. She wasn’t happy and she came to Jaebum to seek comfort where her husband lacked.
He was about to say his first words to her in five years and along those words was him about to tell her to fuck off but before he could say anything he heard his name.
“Jaebum,” you said as you came to stand beside him, “There you are,”
Brian had left, after you two exchanged numbers and as he was leaving you noticed the little encounter that Jaebum was having. You had seen him with so many women before, talking and smiling. You weren’t used to seeing him standstill, staring blatantly at the woman in front of him whom you would have presumed to be some sort of model. She was gorgeous. Yet his body language hinted to you otherwise. Curiosity had gotten the best of you as you made your way through the crowd to get a better view and be within ear shot. Was this the woman that Jaebum has briefly mentioned a few nights ago? The woman who had shaped Jaebum into the womanizing, un-open to love man? You had just moved close enough to hear the tail end of her conversation and something inside you had you taking Brian’s action from earlier and using it against her.
You linked your arms with Jaebum. Noting the surprised expression from both Jaebum and the woman across from him. Still, holding onto the boost of confidence you received from the night you looked at the woman.
“Who’s this babe?” You said throwing in a pet name to build on the facade. You didn’t have to hint to Jaebum or anything what you were doing, he caught on real fast.
He smiled at you, removing the link from your arms and instead wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer into him. Even though it was all an act, you felt your heart start to beat rapidly against your chest. Feeling the firmness of his body, press against yours.
“Just an old friend,” Jaebum answered. “Sorry it’s taking me so long to get back. I think she was just asking me something?” he raised his eyebrow at her and noticed the deep color rise to her cheeks.
“Nice to meet you,” You said reaching out to shake her hand, Jaebum’s arm still around you. “I’m Y/N. Jaebum’s girlfriend.” You proudly stated. You saw her jaw drop slightly. “I hope you’re enjoying the event. Are you here with anyone?” You asked.
She tilted her chin up, “I’m with my husband,”
“Oh how lovely. If you’ll excuse us, Jaebum and I have to go attend to other business,”You smiled, pulling Jaebum with you as you walked away. The two of you didn’t need to stand there and entertain her and you wanted Jaebum away from her as possible. In the the time you had spent with him you had never seen him so quiet and taken aback. It was a whole new side that you had never seen. You pulled him back towards the bar, breathing a sigh of relief when you had gotten farther.
“Thanks,” he murmured.
“It’s not over yet,” you said as you felt her watchful glare. “I’m apologizing in advance.”
Maybe what you were about to do was pushing it, but you felt her gaze pierce your back. Jaebum deserved better than her and you were going to make sure she knew it. There was a look of confusion on Jaebum’s face when your hands fisted at the material of his dress shirt, pushing him against the counter of the bar.
You didn’t pause or hesitate, the drive from the confidence of your night and her lingering gaze fueled your motivation as you got onto your tiptoes and pressed your lips against Jaebum’s. You felt him stiffen at first, shocked and taken aback. However, you felt his lips start to move along with yours. Melding and syncing in perfect rhythm as the two of you kissed amongst the crowded bar. Warmth rushed over your body as the two of you remained lip locked. Your head was spinning, blaming it on the alcohol and not the taste of his lips. When you felt the display of affection had been enough to rile up Jaebum’s ex you started to pull away. This time it was him who had caught you off guard. He placed his hand on the small of your back, pulling you into him, the other hand cupping at the base of your neck as he deepened the kiss.
Jaebum didn’t know what came over him in that moment. When you had tried to pull away he realized he didn’t want it to end. He tried to convince himself it was all for show. He wanted to make his ex who had broke his heart jealous and regretful. He wanted to show her that he was unphased by her. Yet something else occupied his mind, all he wanted was you. He didn’t care that his staff was here, he didn’t care that there was an event happening in his bar right now and the two of you surrounded by dozens of people, and he sure as hell didn’t care anymore that his ex was in the same room as him. All he cared about was you, right here in this moment.
His tongue ran along your bottom lip and you felt yourself cave. Sinking into the kiss as you granted him more access, a light moan escaping you as you fisted your hands into his shirt and pressed yourself into him more. Had you ever been kissed by a man like this before? The answer was no. He was leaving you breathless, needy and yearning. You could feel his hand burn against the small of you back wanting him to do so much more. You wanted to know what it would feel like to have his hands run along the curves of your body, for his lips to trail and explore your skin. You wanted Jaebum. You couldn’t help but murmur his name softly in the brief moment when the two of you broke for air.
The moment you had said his name Jaebum was brought back to his senses. His mind clear yet his body riled up. It took him every ounce of willpower to pull away from you, taking a step away. You stared at him dazed, cheeks flushed and lips slightly swollen and internally he cursed. If you had been any other woman he would have already pulled you through the crowd and upstairs to the loft. But you weren’t just any other woman. You were different and he didn’t want to admit it. He didn’t want to go through that again, the encounter with his ex tonight was just a painful reminder of that. Lastly, he was the last thing you were looking for.
He cleared his throat, avoiding eye contact with you. “Thanks, I think she got the hint.”
When he said that you felt your chest constrict. This was all just part of the act and you felt the disappointment. You couldn’t even say anything before Jaebum muttered an excuse to leave and walked off, once again leaving you feeling rejected. You stared at him as he walked back towards the bar, a smile on his face as he talked with Felix. The high from tonight’s events and attention shattered. Your chest tightened and the empty feeling of wanting something you could never have flooded your body. All you wanted was Jaebum, but he didn’t want you.

3 weeks later
Time had passed since you last saw your so called best friend and not a single word had been spoken. Only by asking Jinyoung or any of the others how he was doing you had gotten pieces of information about his well-being. However, by asking them you also made yourself vulnerable to any of their criticism, such as that the two of you should act like grownups instead of ignoring each other further and they had a point, they sure did. Although you were still in denial, deep down you could no longer hide how much you missed him by your side. His giggles and laughter, his tight and loving hugs when he got home from work, cuddling on the couch until you fell asleep in his arms and magically woke up in your own bed the next morning or gossiping about your shit colleagues with him. All of this had been so natural and only now that he was gone you knew you shouldn't have taken any of this friendship for granted. so called best friend and not a single word had been spoken. On the other side, however, there still was a glimpse of pride left inside that told you to keep on waiting, that it was his job to do the first step as he had been the one to storm out of the restaurant, locking you out when you offered to talk. Maybe, probably, he didn't mean to hurt you. Still, you couldn't change the fact that you were exactly that: hurt. It all was tearing you down more and more by the day, made you weary and weak, but you remembered something every time the negative thoughts seemed to flood your mind: good things come out of the bad.
While the bad seemed to be the overwhelmingly strong force in your case the good came abruptly and when you least expected it too. The good was Jaebum. The night of your first official date had changed a lot. While you had been so sure before that he only intended to go out with you out of pity, for the pure sake of not turning you down at the same time as Mark did, this way of thinking turned out to be awfully wrong. Maybe at first, he had offered to pick you up on Saturday 2 weeks ago for solely this reason, you would never know, but all you knew now was that you and he had grown on each other more than you ever thought you would. There was no awkward silence between you, ever. There were so many common interests on hand that sometimes you asked yourself how on earth you had not seen any of this sooner and maybe he asked himself that exact same question. Being close to him felt right, it had felt right from the first second and it still did. Therefore you tried to meet up with him whenever you could. Yet, there was still more to him being the good. Ever since that day he made sure to check on you ever so frequently. Texting you, calling you or even just leaving you the sweetest voice messages when the time was short. Mark himself has not once been the topic of your conversation, at least not directly, but still, he managed to ease your mind and take away some of the pain like it was all he ever did. You knew you were falling for him.
Tonight you were supposed to go out on another date with him and after having a small crisis about what to wear you found yourself in a simple but chic dress, nothing special but a classic that would never be out of fashion. Your heartbeat was fast, giving you a feeling as if it was about to burst out of your chest at any moment. With a jacket under your arm and a small purse by your side, you walked out of the apartment and down the hallway of the house until you stood outside, the sun just about to settle on the horizon. The thought that you had been in this exact same spot nothing but a few weeks ago with Mark by your side was… weird. However, you stopped yourself from digging further. Tonight should be a happy night and not clouded by such negativity. A look on your phone told you that you were a few minutes early, like always because you tended to rush in the excitement of seeing him again.
It was a relatively calm evening, not many people were walking down the street and the roads weren't as crowded as usual. Every minute and every second you stood here all alone felt like an eternity passing by until you finally saw him walking towards you with a cute little smile, wearing a pair of black pants and a black button-down shirt and looking handsome as always.
"Good evening, pretty lady." He greeted you with the intention of making you laugh and you did, but more because you were overflowing with happiness at the sight of him. When he offered you his arm a second later you gladly took it and stabilized yourself on him when you started walking together.
"You're not so bad yourself. I like the shirt." You complimented him with a sheepish smile, admiring his handsome side profile now that you had the chance to do so, only to see the corner of his lip lift a little further when hearing your compliment. Not like your heart wasn't already beating faster than it ever did before, but when you saw his cheeks flushing it skipped another beat because you still couldn't believe that you were the one who had this kind of effect on him. Adding up to the fact that you really didn't expect Jaebum to be such a soft and gentle soul in the first place. Maybe you had been blinded because as a leader he tended to show rather harsh qualities, so seeing that he was very different from this with in company was a nice and surprising change.
"Thanks. The restaurant is this way." He smirked and then guided you around the corner. "Jinyoung recommended it to me because the wine is good." You chuckled, that Jinyoung suggested a restaurant simply because the wine is good was exactly what you expected him to do.
"Oh, what is the name of the restaurant?" you asked out of curiosity since it had to be somewhere in your neighborhood, otherwise you wouldn't go there by foot. The answer didn't come right away.
"It is a restaurant inside a hotel and honestly, I forgot the name. But I know where it is." He finally explained, chuckling out of embarrassment because forgetting the name of the place where you wanted to go was rather unusual, but it only made you swoon internally out of cuteness. What was it about him that amazed you so much that he didn't even need to try hard? After having another short moment of quietly appreciating your beautiful escort his explanation of the place you were going to suddenly rang a bell. You had walked past it many times before and everything about it looked super fancy, which was why it made you a little uncomfortable to know he would spend that much money on you. The rest of the way you walked in silence and without the distraction of talking to him you realized just how many eyes were on you two casually walking down the street. Luckily it was pretty late at night so that not many young people were around which would have only lead to even more stares. You finally saw your destination in the distance, feeling a heavy weight lifted off your shoulders at the thought of going inside and escaping most of the curious eyes.
And as you entered you saw exactly what you expected to see, a lot of fancy and rich people scattered all over the place and so busy with their own conversations that not a single one of them paid any attention to you. However, you also didn't see a single empty table where you could sit down. That was when one of the waiters came up to you with a faked friendly smile.
"Do you have a reservation, sir?" he asked and waited for JB to drop his name so he could look into the small book and tick it off the list. However, Jaebum didn't say his name.
"I actually did not reserve a table. Is there any chance of still getting one?" he answered clearly embarrassed that he had forgotten yet another thing for your date. The waiter looked at the two of you, still trying to keep up his polite act when it was so very clear that he was judging the ‘young people' in front of him. To signal JB that you didn't care about his tiny mistake and also to break the painful awkwardness of standing here you were the one to start talking now.
"Maybe we could wait until a table is free?" The waiter looked down again while flipping a page of the book, mumbling something almost inaudible but then giving a small nod. He pointed to the hotel bar at the other end of the room.
"You can enjoy a glass of wine during your wait and I will get you as soon as the next table is ready." He explained and waited for the two of you to walk off before he himself could hustle back to the kitchen. The bar was pretty empty with only a few people sitting in the relatively dark ambiance, enjoying a glass of wine as well or going for something a little bit stronger. You and your date took a seat right at the bar, ordering the wine Jinyoung had told him about and as it turns out he was right, the wine was fantastic.
"I'm really sorry, I'm not usually that disorganized." Jaebum apologized, flashing you another smile but looking right back down on the counter. You laughed a little because it hadn't been that big of a deal to you and then lifted your glass up in order to clink glasses with him, mumbling a "Let's just enjoy the rest of the evening." Happily, he agreed by lifting up his glass as well, taking a sip as you directly locked eyes for the first time that night. You could still see his smile flickering in them, all sparkly and bright even when the room itself was so faintly illuminated. To you, it was a mystery how a man could be that handsome and sweet simultaneously.
"Last time you told me you had a cat, right?" he started the conversation after setting his glass back down, studying your face closely while he waited for your response which was an approving nod at first.
"Yeah exactly, she's with my parents. I'm sad that she'll be in Busan soon, then I can't see her as often." You mumbled with sadness hitting you right in the face again. Growing up with a cat or any animal was beautiful until you had to let go of them for whatever reason…
"Do you have a picture of her? I understand though, I hate leaving my cats behind when going on tour." He said and you nodded again at his question, looking for your phone in your bag while he kept talking. You pulled it out and pressed the home button right in his line of sight, therefore he definitely saw the picture that you had chosen as your background some time ago. In a matter of seconds, you could feel your cheeks starting to flush, turning just as red as the wine in front of you as you desperately tried to hide your face behind one of your hands. Hearing him laugh was not helping you at all. Here you were going out with an idol while having a picture of another idol, someone he was actually friends with as your damn lock screen.
"I didn't know you were a fan of Taehyung." He teased while nudging his elbow into your side, still laughing to himself as you were shaking your head in disbelief that you had not thought about this before coming here. Mark had already teased you enough about your love for BTS and now Jaebum wouldn't let you live either, you just knew that already. "You know I can introduce you to him, right?"
"God no!" you blurted out trying to keep your volume low even when you were still embarrassed and frustrated about this all. "Having the seven of you around me is enough, really." In hopes of changing the subject again, you quickly scrolled through the pictures on your phone until you had found one of your cat and gave him the phone to take a closer look and he smiled. If you weren't still busy with beating yourself up on the inside the sight of him going all heart eyes for a kitten would have been a really adorable memory.
"She's really pretty. Almost as pretty as Taehyung, I guess…" he said with a serious tone but not even trying to hide a goofy smile, clearly mocking you a little bit more and enjoying it way too much for your taste. He managed to coax an annoyed grown out of you as you wished that turning back time was a possibility in situations like this.
"Please don't. Mark is really giving me enough shit for this already… or was." He stopped laughing the moment those words had left your mouth marking the second time within a minute that you were wishing for the ability to turn back time. It felt like you dropped every brick possible to make the night a complete and total failure when in reality all you wanted was to have a good, relaxing time with the man you were so obviously falling for. "I shouldn't have said that I'm sorry."
And there it was for the very first time, a moment of awkward silence because somehow apologizing only managed to rub it all in further. You gulped down what was left in your glass and so did he, both of you ordering another glass when suddenly the waiter from before walked up to you and said that you could move from the bar to the restaurant itself which you gladly did. Hopefully, it would leave the awkwardness behind when you went somewhere else. You got a table that wasn't right in the middle but also not completely separated from the rest of the visitors, yet nobody really seemed to care about the two of you and at least that was nothing you had to worry about tonight.
"We need to talk about Mark anyway so maybe it wasn't even bad that you-" Jaebum suddenly said as soon as you sat at your new place but you cut him off before he could say any more. Talking about Mark was not an option, not ever.
"We won't. This is not about him, alright?." Again he looked at you, studying your face as if he didn't understand the words coming out of you when they, in fact, had been pretty simple. It was pretty easy to tell how much it bugged him that you cut him off in the middle of a sentence that he had obviously thought through many times in his head, but seeing that you really weren't open to this topic just yet, he just shrugged his shoulders with a sigh and let it go.
"Fine. What do you want to talk about then?" he asked, taking another big sip of wine in order to let his mind drift somewhere else and you mimicked his actions. Alcohol shouldn't be the solution but it kind of was in your case. Taking away the weird and painful thoughts and letting you enjoy the fun parts of the evening. You ended up mostly talking about their upcoming schedules such as going to a big event such as KCon and watching him talk about it was captivating. The pure joy and excitement he felt while talking about his unbelievable job and how lucky he got to be in the position he was in took over you quickly. His smile grew bigger and bigger, infecting you with such ease that you could basically feel his positive energy running through your veins. And by the time that you had ordered food and the appetizer arrived at your table things were pretty relaxed again, the way they had been before. The small talk was easy and entertaining and got even easier the more you and Jaebum enjoyed the wine you had gotten, having the third glass already by the end of your main course. The more you drank though, the more and more you talked and acted without thinking those actions through properly, like placing your hand on top of his with an not so innocent smile which he cheekily returned or accidentally bumping against his legs underneath the table from time to time. You knew it was mostly the alcohol doing those things but still, you found yourself enjoying the flirty atmosphere.
"Why don't you come home with me when we're done eating?" you suggested, running your fingers up and down over the soft skin of his hand while quickly searching for eye contact as well. But when you tilted your head up you caught him already looking at you, eyes just as beautiful as you had memorized them by now. The smile on his lips appeared to be so soft and pure at the first look, but really all there was to it was lust.
"Damn if I knew that we would end up chilling on your couch I would've brought along some more comfortable pants." He scuffed with a posed painful expression on his face as he let himself sink down so far that he almost landed on the floor. You couldn't help but laugh at the sight of him trying to push himself back up again in a graceful way but fail miserably as he stumbled, almost crashing into you. It wasn't the first time that his face was so close to yours, but with the alcohol clouding your mind it was different like the world slowed down the closer you were to him. You noticed how his eyes landed on your lips and while you yourself were intrigued by the pure imagination of kissing him he pulled back again while whispering an almost shy "Sorry."
He straightened his back once he was back in his old place, sitting next to you with enough space that only your knees were touching for the moment, although that contact alone was making you crave for more.
"Do you want some of Mark's clothes?" you suggested and decided to get up from the couch right away. However, the alcohol quickly rushed through your body with the upwards motion making you regret to move so abruptly. The world started spinning in front of your eyes, a feeling of dizziness taking over you so fast that you could no longer stand on your own feet, losing balance and then buckling sideways. As your capability of a decent reaction time was no longer available you would have fallen over if it wasn't for JB being quick enough to place his hands on your waist with a tight grip, holding you up with your back pressed against his chest. It felt firm and warm with nothing but a thin layer of clothing separating your skin. The sudden contact made you gasp out of shock, but it didn't take long until shock turned into something completely different. The two of you stood in the middle of the room, leaning against each other for way longer than it was necessary. His tight grip on your waist slowly loosened up, but not at all with the intention of letting go of you as his hands drifted downwards, finally landing on your hips. When he noticed that you were not going to push him away anytime soon, his fingertips started tracing your hip bones what brought him dangerously close to the place where your body wanted him most at that exact moment. It felt good. Incredibly good. However, you knew that the sober version of yourself would not have gone there this quick…
"You have to be more careful." Jaebum cooed so close to your ear that you felt the hot air escaping his mouth alongside his dark, smooth voice which let a shiver run down your spine. The way your breathing hitched as you inhaled sharply at the pure sound of his voice, he now was completely sure that your intentions were the same as his. However, some instinct inside you suddenly kicked in when you felt his lips ghosting over the skin of your neck, barely creating a contact as you jumped away from him and his touch with a shy smile on your lips. It had definitely been a while since you were so physically close to somebody and maybe your mind needed a few more seconds to figure out what was the right thing to do in such a situation.
"You wanted some clothes, didn't you?" you said and grabbed his hand to drag him along with you into Mark's room, though instead of doing so he quickly pulled you back into his arms, this time facing his gorgeous lips and eyes looking down on you, pressed against each other's chest so tightly you feared he could feel your heart hammering in excitement.
"Screw the clothes…" he murmured, foreheads pressed together with one hand of his gently cupping your cheek to hold you in place. His dark eyes were locked on yours that you actually stopped breathing for a second because his stare was so intense and filled with hunger, that breathing each other's air only added to your already intoxicated mind. It felt like now you were not only drunk from the alcohol but also drunk from his dominant aura. He placed the tip of his thumb against your lips, letting his finger run over the skin to get a feeling of what your lips would feel like against his own. His eyes had fallen down, watching closely as he slightly tugged your bottom lip down before replacing the touch of his thumb with his own plump lips crushing on you. His kiss was contradictory to the soft and tender touch from before, rather rough and demanding right from the first second. It was impossible to resist the feeling of him literally sucking the air out of your lungs as your lips moved so perfectly against each other. The pure ecstasy of his sharp teeth nibbling on your lips in-between hungry kisses had you drowning in pleasure with ease, your own arms tightly wrapped around his neck to be even closer to him. You pushed him back until he felt the edge of the couch pressing against his legs and let himself fall down with you landing right on his lap. His hands were quick to roam all the way down your back before landing on your ass, making you mewl into the kiss for the first time. You could feel how he was growing hard underneath you and with a fiery passion fueling you, you could no longer resist starting to move on him, grinding your hips together to coax a low growl out of him which melted right into the kiss.
This surely was not how you expected the evening to end, but with a pounding heart and heat burning under your skin wherever he touched you it didn't take long until you stumbled towards the bedroom while fumbling on the buttons of his shirt.
The next morning began like almost every Sunday morning started for you, waking up without setting an alarm a rather just waking up when your body felt like doing so. The only difference that day was your head throbbing so badly that it felt like it was about to explode, but fair enough that was to be expected after you drank more than a couple of glasses throughout the whole evening yesterday. But despite the amount of alcohol you definitely had not forgotten how the evening had ended for the two of you, right in those bed sheets.
Still, you had noticed right when you opened your eyes that there was nobody lying on the bed next to you. Maybe he had gotten up already and was in the bathroom or kitchen you thought to yourself and after taking a little while to properly wake up, you toddled out of your room with nothing but a wide shirt hanging over your body. It was one of Mark's shirts that you had stolen as long as he was gone…
"Jaebum?" you called out in the living room but received no answer. He wasn't in the kitchen you could see that from where you were standing and after looking over your shoulder you also saw the door of your bathroom standing wide open without anybody inside. One last look towards the door confirmed that he had left you without saying another word because his shoes were nowhere to be found. He snuck out, not even bothering to leave a note for you. Did he regret what happened? Had you been wrong about your dates all along and he wasn't actually interested in you? When was the next time you would see him? Your head was still throbbing and so painfully that you had to sit down again, also feeling how the world seemed to shatter around you as there were no answers to any of your questions. And even if you wanted to think about it until you finally came up with your own answers, you didn't have the chance to clear your mind as you heard the front door opening up. It couldn't be JB because he didn't have a key and obviously there was only one other person on this planet with a key to this apartment. Mark.
You saw him stepping inside with a backpack slung over his shoulder, securing it with one hand while he had some white and pink box in the other one. Without his hands-free he struggled to take off his shoes and almost tripped over his own feet while trying, making you smile just from watching. It took some time until he finally managed it, lifting his head up to say something, probably about to call out your name. A surprised look was on his face when he saw you already sitting on the couch in front of him, all sleepy and with messy hair, but then he dropped the backpack with a faint smile and walked towards you.
"Good morning, donut."

Im Jaebeom x female reader / 614 words / smut

Day thirteen of kinktober - im jaebeom x phone sex
⊱ ──────────────────────── ⊰
You knew that dating an idol wasn’t always the most ideal situation, but you knew that you could make it work. Jaebeom always knew where you stood with him and you were always the first thing he thought of when he woke up. You seemed to find yourself incredibly horny when he wasn’t around and what made it worse was that no matter how hard you tried, your fingers were never enough.
Having no other option than to take matters into your own hands, you stood in front of your full-length mirror in your bedroom in your cute baby pink lingerie set. You grabbed your phone, deciding to send a racy picture to your boyfriend, one that you knew would have him going insane. After a few pictures, you sent your favorite before moving towards your bed, laying flat against the cotton sheets before trailing one of your hands from your neck to your breasts. Pinching one of the already erect nipples before continuing down, slipping your hand inside your panties.
You could already feel how wet you were, images of how things could have gone if Jaebeom were here with you. Before you could even get going, the ring of your phone went off catching you off guard. Groaning in frustration, you removed your hands from your panties and immediately perked up when you saw Jaebeom’s name flashing across the screen.
With a smirk, you placed it on speaker, “Hi babe,” You purred into the speaker as you heard him chuckle in response.
“Someone’s feeling a little needy. Aren’t you, baby?” He inquired and you hummed in response, “What were you doing before I called?” He asked innocently, but you knew right now he was going to be anything but innocent, “Were you touching yourself?”
“Yeah,” You sighed, “I was thinking of all the times you’ve fucked me so good that I couldn't walk. Or how magical your fingers feel inside of me,” You said, feeling your core heat up.
There was silence for a few seconds, the only sounds heard were yours and Jaebeom’s breathing before he finally spoke up, “I want to hear you touch yourself. Do it for me.”
You compiled without complaint, laying back against the flush bed, one of your free hands pushing your panties to the side before starting to play with your clit, “Jae,” You moaned and heard him take a sharp intake of breath.
“Keep going baby, Make yourself feel good by using your fingers,” He demanded and you quickly listened, sinking one of your fingers into your pulsing sex.
“I miss you,” You hummed into the phone, fingers working on making yourself feel good, “I wish you were here with me, making me cum.”
“I miss you too, baby,” He groaned and by the sounds of it, he was definitely in the process of unclipping his belt to jerk himself off, “Add another finger and keep moaning my name like the good girl you are,” Jaebeom exhaled, hand moving up and down his length, already feeling embarrassingly close from the sound of your whimpers and moans.
Hearing the sound of Jaebeom’s grunts only helped to turn you on even more, causing you to let out another moan and thrust your fingers at a faster pace, “I want you, Jaebeom. I want to touch you.”
“Soon, baby. So soon,” He groaned loudly, “But right now, you need to be a good girl and cum with me and show me so that when I’m back home, I can reward my pretty girl,” He said with a chuckle and before you knew it, you were receiving a facetime request to prove that you’ve listened to his instructions.

Part 1 | Part 2
Thunder echoed quietly up above, telling Taylor they were safe for now from the storm, her pace quickening nonetheless.
“I can’t believe that guy who yelled at me about his caramel drizzle,” she said, turning to JB. “Like, dude, I’m not gonna cover it in caramel, that’s why it’s called drizzle-”
Jae snorted loudly at that, laughing a little as he turned to her.
“You should’ve seen the look on his face when you told him ‘that’s how the drink comes’-”
Taylor giggled; she’d been a little fired up, turning her back on the customer before he could complain anymore, not facing the counter until she heard the tinkle of the bell telling her he’d left.
“Well…” she trailed off, biting her lip a little. “What was I supposed to do? Besides, fate was good to you; that hot girl was up next in line.”
“What hot girl?” Jaebum asked, looking legitimately confused.
Taylor’s mouth opened slightly in disbelief.
“Hot girl?” she repeated, as if this was a sufficient enough description. “Dark hair, bright eyes, perfect tan-skinned hot girl?”
Jae just raised his eyebrows, chuckling slightly at her expression.
She shook her head; men.
“She was the one who got the vanilla latte, and asked for it low fat after you already rang her up. She was all giggly and stuff, and kept talking to you, even after you gave her the drink-”
Realization dawned on his face, and she giggled a little.
“There’s the lightbulb-”
“She was just being nice,” he told her, shrugging a little. “She saw my tattoo and asked where I got it.”
“Jae…”
Taylor laughed.
“Girls don’t just ask about random guy’s tattoos unless they think they’re hot,” she told him bluntly. “I mean, it is hot, so I’m not surprised she said something-”
He raised an eyebrow at that, and Taylor quickly moved on, embarrassed by the slip up-
“-but you know, she was hitting on you! I’m guessing you didn’t give her your number?”
JB was shrugging again, looking a little amused.
“She didn’t ask.”
Taylor sighed dramatically.
“For someone that wanted to be set up on a date, you sure are oblivious-”
“I never said I wanted to be set up,” JB argued as they rounded the corner on the next street, more thunder rumbling above them. “That was your idea.”
“Wait, what?”
Taylor tripped over her own feet, turning quickly to look at the man.
“I thought you said you were fine with a double date.”
“I mean, I am,” he replied easily. “But I don’t need it; you seemed scared. I was doing it for you.”
Her stomach flipped a little at his words, especially when he smiled somewhat gently at her, something in his eyes she couldn’t read.
Quickly, Taylor shook her head, ignoring the still fluttering feeling of her insides as she faced forward once more.
“Well… thank you,” she said sincerely. “And honestly, I think you’re going to love Sara. She’s perfect for you.”
She thought of her friend, continuing when JB didn’t respond.
“She’s intelligent and beautiful. Into books and writing, and a bunch of other nerdy stuff,” Taylor described. “Sara’s also funny- like funnier than you would think- and has this snarky side to her I think you’ll really like, too.”
JB nodded, but said nothing else, both of them cringing as another clap of thunder echoed overhead, louder than before.
Taylor looked at him- hands shoved into the pockets of his dark-wash jeans, white t-shirt hanging loosely on his broad shoulders, hair dark and messy in his eyes, the features of his face unique, edgy, and handsome as always-
“So, tell me about Jinyoung.”
She really needed to stop noticing how hot Jaebum was tonight.
“What do you mean?” he asked, quietly.
“I mean, like…” Taylor thought for a moment, listening to their synchronized footsteps. “Like why did you set me up with him?”
She’d been bugging Jae about finding her a date for weeks- it had started as an inside joke, but got more serious as they spent more days working together- and although he’d promised her he would, he’d been dragging his feet, surprising her just last week when he’d told her he found someone he thought she might like.
“He just looks like the kinda guy you’d be into,” Jaebum told her honestly, turning to look at her.
“That’s it?” she teased, bumping her arm against his. “Nothing else?”
JB laughed softly.
“He likes to read,” he offered.
“Alright…” Taylor was giggling, bumping him again. “What else?”
“Uh-” he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced sideways at her. “He likes coffee. And he likes to sing. Likes music in general-”
“Why are you just describing yourself right now?” she joked.
But before he could answer, there was a clap of thunder so loud it made both of them jump, sounding like it was directly over their heads now, Taylor’s eye widening.
“Maybe we should…” JB was jerking his thumb behind him, back towards the coffee shop. “We could just wait it out and let them know we’ll be late-”
But Taylor was glancing at the street sign- Naple Lane- knowing they were only a few blocks away now.
“No, no, it’s close,” she told him hurriedly, already walking faster, Jae matching her pace. “I’m sure we can make it.”
He glanced at the sky with raised eyebrows, but didn’t argue, still walking with her as Taylor turned to look at him once more.
She wished she hadn’t- with the steady sprinkling of rain they’d been walking in since they’d left work, Jaebum’s t-shirt was now sticking to him a bit, the wet spots melting the fabric against his skin-
“You shouldn’t have worn that,” she teased, pulling her eyes from his torso to look at his face. “It’s gonna be see-through by the time we get there.”
It was a joke really, but Taylor found herself swallowing hard, the image of a soaking wet Jaebum in the rain almost more than she could handle-
Taylor really hoped that didn’t happen; she might die.
Jae glanced down at himself, a mischievous grin on his face before he was motioning towards her own shirt.
“Yours isn’t much better,” he quipped.
And Taylor was looking down at her outfit for the first time, almost jumping in surprise when she saw how transparent it’d become.
In her hurry this morning, she’d accidentally grabbed her black bra to change into, but when she’d put it on in the bathroom, the peach color of her shirt had mostly concealed it, and she’d thought it would be okay.
But now- with the large raindrops splattered across the sheer fabric and a slight cut in the front for cleavage she’d thought would be classy- Taylor’s outfit was a lot more scandalous than she was going for-
“Aw crap,” she groaned, pulling uselessly on the shirt. “Well, it was cute when I put it on. I totally should’ve brought an umbrella-”
Taylor looked up, surprised to see Jae’s eyes very obviously on the front of her shirt, a surge of unforgiving heat racing through her veins at the sight of it.
Caught, his gaze quickly darted to hers, a small, guilty smile pulling on his lips, making him look all the more handsome as Taylor shook her head again.
Get a grip
“Come on-”
Taylor decided not to acknowledge it, waving him on as she kept walking.
“Let’s go so we beat this storm.”
And JB was walking beside her once more as she tried her best to ignore the slamming beats of her heart.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sara wasn’t quite sure how she’d ended up outside, when it was still raining very heavily.
She didn’t know how she’d already had two mojitos, ordering the second one as a double since it was free alcohol anyway, ignoring Jinyoung’s raised eyebrow look as she’d sipped it steadily.
Sara wasn’t one hundred percent sure when Jinyoung had suggested they go to the covered patio outside for somewhere a little quieter so they could talk, only knew she’d agreed easily- willingly- an instant, magnetic kind of attraction to the man she hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Okay, we’ve talked about all our favorite books…”
Jinyoung’s smile was playful as he leaned back a bit in his chair, looking right at her.
“Well… not all of them,” she argued, taking another small sip of her drink. “I’m sure I have more.”
“More?” Jinyoung pretended to be shocked, eyes widening, mouth dropping open just slightly. “How could there be more?”
Sara was giggling, shoving his arm a little as she put her drink on the table in front of them.
“There are always more books,” she said. “Maybe you’re not a real reader if you’re so shocked.”
Jinyoung rested his own glass against his lips, raising his eyebrows at her.
“Maybe you’re right,” he replied before taking a drink.
His expression was full on flirty now as he set his glass beside her own, and Sara’s insides were flipping excitedly, a skip in her chest at how quickly the two of them had hit it off.
They’d spent an hour now talking about everything they loved- plays and movies, books and writing- even venturing to things like favorite music and tastes in food.
Conversation was easy and free-flowing, Sara not remembering the last time she was able to talk to someone so easily before, even with a permanent, nervous knot in her stomach at how handsome he was- how lovely he was…
And when they’d made it out on that patio, Jinyoung had sat beside her, not across from her like she’d expected, the hard, pitter patters of rain relaxing as they continued talking, laughing and joking with one another-
“So you like dramas?” Jinyoung asked, sounding like he already knew the answer.
“Of course,” Sara smiled, watching him nod. “I’ve watched so many dramas and shows, I’ve lost count.”
He laughed a little loudly at that, turning in his seat to face her, Sara doing the same.
“What are you watching right now?” he asked with that tell-tale tilt of his head.
“Well…”
She felt nervous, when he gave her his undivided attention like this, staring out at the steady rain before turning back to him.
“There’s this one I’ve been trying to keep up with… Nevertheless-?”
“Yes,” Jinyoung’s eyes widened, grinning widely as he shifted in his chair. “Yeah, I love that one.”
He was cute when he got excited, a giggle slipping from her lips before she could help it.
“I love it, too,” she admitted, sighing a little. “It’s just so…”
But she couldn’t think of the word, turning her hand in circles, the alcohol clouding her mind a little.
“Romantic?” Jinyoung tried, leaning back in his chair. “Cliche, but good cliche?”
“Yes,” Sara was nodding instantly. “You know, cliches get a bad rep; I mean they become cliches for a reason. How would they be popular if they weren’t at least somewhat good?”
“I agree,” he nodded, taking another quick sip of his drink. “I think if it works, is it wrong to use it again?”
“Exactly,” Sara tipped her half-empty glass in his direction. “And are you against cliches because you feel like you have to enjoy outside the norm, or do you actually not like them?”
Jinyoung chuckled softly, using the plastic straw in his drink to mix it up.
“I agree again.”
He sounded both amused and a little surprised by this, his eyes flicking up to meet hers, something in the dark brown of his irises setting butterflies free and fluttering through her stomach.
“This whole night is like a drama,” Sara said for something to say, looking away from him to motion around the empty patio.
“Right,” he was nodding again. “With the rain-”
“The bar-” she added.
“The storm locking us in-”
“Our dates being late…”
They laughed together, taking simultaneous sips before their glasses were on the table once more.
“Yeah…” Jinyoung trailed off, glancing up at her through his lashes, forearm resting gently on the table. “And then this would be the part where our lead guy would make the move.”
“The move?” Sara repeated, laughing again out of pure nervousness.
But he didn’t answer her, only smiling mischievously, eyes darting to their drinks before looking at her once more.
“What’s the move?”
It was a bold question, but she was feeling a little giddy, a little drunk, enjoying the way he was looking at her, suddenly noticing just how close they were sitting-
“I mean…” he shrugged ever so slightly, fingers fiddling with his glass. “It’s whatever the writer decides.”
“Well,” she played along, biting thoughtfully on her bottom lip, watching Jinyoung’s eyes linger there just along enough to make her heart jump. “There’s a lot of things. If we’re talking cliches, lead guy could write his name and number on a napkin…”
Jinyoung laughed at that.
“Fold it,” he continued. “Put it in her hand…”
“Yes,” Sara giggled a little. “He could tell her he had a nice time… tuck her hair behind her ear and make long, meaningful eye contact…”
And Jinyoung’s eyes were moving along the features of her face before he was sitting up a little, looking curious once again.
“Like this?”
Before she could react, he was reaching forward, gently tucking some loose strands of her auburn hair behind her ear.
The touch was soft and slightly intimate, his fingers dusting across her cheek, the two of them locking eyes, their smiles fading, Sara’s heart pounding in her chest…
“What else?”
Jinyoung’s voice was barely above a whisper as he asked, and Sara’s eyes were still locked with his, swallowing hard.
“Well…” she could hardly speak, skin tingling where his fingers lingered near her face. “Sometimes the guy is bold… and just kisses her.”
She finished the sentence quietly, words nearly lost in the rain, and Jinyoung’s eyes were darting between hers, looking nervous for the first time that night-
But then his gaze was on her lips, and Sara watched him lean forward, her eyes slipping closed just seconds before his soft lips were pressing against hers.
The kiss was sweet with a hidden charge behind it, the feel of his lips gently caressing hers sending subtle sparks through her veins, his fingertips grazing her cheek before threading through her hair once more.
They turned their heads for only a moment, just long enough to leave Sara breathless before Jinyoung was pulling back slowly, hands slipping away.
“Like that?” he asked, a certain lilt in his voice that had her chest tightening-
“Yeah,” she whispered, nodding a couple times. “Just like that…”
And it was quiet for a moment, the rain slowing down to a steady drizzle once more, the two of them taking in one another’s features, both in awe of the other.
This night was not at all what they’d expected.
“Hey there!”
They were startled by the bartender, standing in the open doorway of the patio, expression amused as he looked between the two of them.
“Just wanted to tell you guys the manager is letting customers go.”
“Thank you.”
Jinyoung raised his hand in a friendly wave, and the man nodded before disappearing, leaving them alone once more.
Sara suddenly realized what had happened- she’d just kissed Jinyoung, a practical stranger, and he was supposed to be Taylor’s date.
And Sara also realized she hadn’t heard from her friend in quite a while-
“I hope the other two are okay,” she said without thinking, glancing at her phone beside her drink. “I haven’t heard from them...”
Jinyoung was checking his own phone, locking the screen quickly and stuffing the device in his pocket.
“I have to go,” he admitted quietly, looking deeply apologetic. “I told Jaebum I’d only be able to stay for a little bit- I caught the night shift at work last minute.”
“I’m sorry.”
And Sara was sorry, watching him adjust a little in his chair, her heart still racing in her chest from that kiss…
Would she ever see him again?
“It’s okay,” he chuckled lightly, waving away her worry. “Are you… gonna be alright?”
Jinyoung was looking at her again with those eyes, the flirty, curious expression almost more than she could handle as she smiled at him.
“I’ll be fine,” Sara assured him. “It looks like the rain’s clearing up anyway…”
They glanced together at the outside sidewalks, the rain nearly done now, nothing but an earthy smell and the tinge of humidity still lingering in the air.
“Okay…”
Jinyoung’s eyes were on hers for a moment before he was reaching into the front pocket of his shirt, pulling out a pen.
Then he was slipping the napkin out from beneath his drink, scribbling in the corner to get the pen working before writing something she couldn’t see.
When he was done, Jinyoung turned back to her, a small smile on his lips as he took one of her hands in his own. Gently, he was unfolding her fingers, almost caressing the skin, sending goosebumps up her arm before he was placing the folded napkin in her palm.
Carefully, he placed her fingers around the napkin, taking his time, the two of them locking eyes once more as he pulled away.
Then Jinyoung was standing up, giving her a sideways smile, gaze lingering, looking almost disappointed to go.
“It was nice to meet you… Sara,” he said quietly.
“Nice to meet you, too,” she replied, voice slightly breathy.
And then he was motioning towards the napkin, taking a couple steps backwards.
“It’s in reverse compared to our dramas, but…”
She glanced at the white bundle in her hand before looking at him once more.
“I’d love to hear from you again.”
And before Sara could say a word, he was turning around and walking away, her eyes trained on his back, feeling slightly shocked.
Did that just happen?
She stared for a long moment before she was unfolding the napkin slowly.
555-922-1994
Nevertheless…
Sara laughed softly under her breath, more butterflies filling her stomach; she would definitely be calling him.
Then she was hastily pulling out her phone, unlocking the screen and scrolling to her friend.
“I need to call Taylor,” she whispered.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, Taylor jumping just as the thunder above them was so loud it was deafening.
“Tay,” Jaebum looked half amused, half nervous as he glanced up at the clouds. “How much longer?”
“It’s literally so close-”
She felt slightly defensive now- Taylor definitely thought this restaurant had been a shorter distance when she walked there last week.
“-I don’t know why it’s taking so-”
But then she felt a large rain drop hit the tip of her nose, cutting her off entirely. JB jolted a little beside her, and she saw him reach up, pressing the tips of his fingers to his forehead.
They looked up at the dark sky together before turning to one another in surprise, more raindrops falling around them, picking up quick, splashing across their clothes-
“Shit!” Taylor squealed.
Jaebum laughed beside her just as the skies opened up, more thunder rumbling, and Taylor started running down the street, desperately looking for cover.
She put her hands over her forehead, uselessly trying to block the rain as she ran, hearing JB right behind her.
Where can we wait?
They were still laughing, and Taylor couldn’t see much, the rain coming down in sheets, wind whistling loudly in her ears, more lightning followed by booming thunder-
“Come on!”
She felt warm fingers wrap firmly around her wrist, tripping a little as JB pulled her across the sidewalk, only spotting where they were headed just seconds before they’d gotten there.
It was a small, standalone photo booth, bright lights barely visible in the rain, and Jaebum was hastily pulling back the curtain before climbing inside, yanking Taylor in there with him.
She almost fell, her feet slipping on the metal beneath them, JB letting go of her wrist and yanking the curtain closed.
“Ah, I almost fell!” Taylor exclaimed, her voice loud in the enclosed space, speaking through her giddy laughter. “You pulled too hard!”
She was joking, and JB knew, his own laughter so much louder than normal-
“You would’ve fallen anyway-”
But as he tried to lean against the opposite wall of the photo booth, Taylor saw him stumbling in her periphery, snorting with another giggle as she tried to push back her soaking hair.
“Guess I’m not the only one who’s clumsy.”
This made them laugh all over again, Tayor stepping further inside to escape the wind coming in behind the fluttering curtain, heart still racing from their run.
Finally, she was looking up from fixing her hair, seeing Jaebum for the first time.
And once again, Taylor wished she hadn’t.
They were close- super close- in that small photo booth, just enough room for both of them to stand inside. Jae was leaned against the wall, running a hand through his sopping wet hair to push it back, an excited smile still spread across his handsome face.
His white shirt was completely transparent now, the rain having soaked through it, the fabric sticking to his skin so perfectly, Taylor felt her breath catch in her throat, because she really did not need to know that was what Jae looked like under his shirt…
JB caught her looking- she’d been staring for way too long not to be obvious- and his grin went one-sided as he looked down at his clothes before glancing up at her through the fringe of his hair.
“What?” he asked playfully.
Taylor ignored that look, her throat tightening a little.
“You’re soaked,” she replied honestly, unsure what else she could say.
Then Jaebum’s eyes were running slowly up and down her body, completely and obviously, a flirty sparkle in his eye as he motioned towards her.
“Yeah… you, too.”
Taylor looked down at herself, and for the second time that night, she realized her outfit choice had been downright stupid. The peach fabric against her skin made it look as if she wasn’t wearing a shirt at all, black bra prominent underneath. The shirt had slipped further down her chest, giving her that much more cleavage, and with the water still dripping slowly down her skin…
She realized there was a reason for that darkness in JB’s eyes.
Her skin tingled excitedly at the thought of it- of him being attracted to her- her own heart pounding in her chest at the way he looked, much too close, his eyes still lingering on hers...
JB reached up, his fingers gentle as they pulled something out of the light-brown strands of her hair.
“You’re always getting stuff in your hair,” he muttered, a leaf between his fingers before he was throwing it to the ground.
Somehow Taylor had stepped closer- when had she stepped closer?- and they glanced at the leaf before looking at one another once more, their proximity doing things to her…
And she wasn’t sure what she was thinking, only knew she was swallowing hard before closing the distance between them, eyes on his lips before spontaneously kissing him.
It was hot, their lips pressed hard together, the soft, startled hum in JB’s throat sending a spark through her system, Taylor surprised at the way her stomach flipped as soon as they started kissing-
She pulled back, inhaling quickly, Jae’s eyes fluttering as he looked down at her with a playful smile.
“What was that?” he teased, voice low.
And she could see it on his face that he’d liked it- that he wanted more- and ignoring that happy jump her chest at the thought, she was giggling a little, shrugging and taking a couple steps back.
“I mean, I can go if-”
But JB was chuckling, quickling grabbing her wrist and pulling her right back to him.
Then he was kissing her hard, Taylor melting right into it, his fingers letting go of her wrist only to slide up her arm, caressing her shoulder.
Her palms were running up the wet fabric of his shirt now sticking to his torso, the feel of his hot skin beneath sending electricity through her veins. He shifted slightly at their touch, their heads turning to deepen the kiss, his hands sliding up her back now, holding her closer-
Taylor was caught in the hotness of the moment, her fingers stopping to hold his broad shoulders, JB’s lips smooth against her own as they set a good rhythm, his hands tracing the curve of her spine, nails scraping ever-so-slightly-
And then they were breaking for air, inhaling together before Taylor was opening her eyes, both happy and a little shocked by what had just happened.
Glancing up at JB, his eyes just as wide with surprise, she giggled, biting her lip.
“Well…” she said softly. “So much for our dates.”
JB chuckled, his eyes disappearing with his smile, hands rubbing her back affectionately.
“I guess so.”
Taylor noticed for the first time that the wind had stopped blowing so hard, the rain dropping down to a quiet whisper, and she glanced around, wondering if the storm was finally over.
There was a sudden buzzing in her pocket, and she pulled back just slightly from Jae, taking her phone out, stomach flipping at the name.
Sara
Hitting the accept button quickly, she put the phone to her ear, both girls speaking at the same exact moment.
“Um… we need to talk.”

Three Whole Days
Prompt: “I wasn’t prepared for this.” “For what?” “You.” - @challengingwords challenge
Pairing: Im Jaebum x reader
Genre: suggestive
Word count: 506
You grinned as soon as you saw him come through the front door, standing up on the couch you were seated upon and throwing your arms around his neck, meeting his lips midway. It didn’t take you long to pull yourself up over the back of the couch, Jaebum’s hands curling around the undersides of your thighs to catch you as you moved right into his embrace, your legs wrapping around his waist as your hungry kisses grew breathless and littered with moans.
Reluctantly you pulled away, running a hand through his hair lovingly as you smiled down at your lover. “Hi.”
“Is that the first thing you can say after all that?” he asked with a chuckle, shaking his head softly before leaning in to peck your swollen lips again. Jaebum grinned. “Hi.”
“I missed you.”
“I can tell, baby,” he replied with another chuckle, backing you both up enough so he could sit you down on the back of the couch. You didn’t move away from him, however, still clinging to him. Jaebum was louder this time, laughing as he tried to pry you off. “Why are you being like this? It’s not as if I’ve been away for weeks. Just three days!”
You nodded dejectedly. “Three whole days without you meant three whole days of doing everything here in our home alone.”
“Seriously?” Jaebum questioned your childish pout and you nodded again. “I wasn’t prepared for this.”
“For what?”
“You,” he answered with a smile, running his hands over your bare thighs mindlessly, wrestling with desire. You smirked, your arms around his neck tightening so he was even closer to you. Jaebum groaned. “You’re driving me crazy. How can you be so needy for me? It makes me feel like I have to take you everywhere I go because the idea of you missing me this much breaks my heart.”
“I’m sure you want to take me around in your back pocket everywhere you go.”
“Don’t tempt me. Though you’ll grow sick of being with me all the time and then what good is that for us? I don’t want you to grow bored and leave me behind.”
“I like missing you,” you admitted coyly, twirling an index finger over the sliver of skin on the nape of his neck that was exposed. Looking into Jaebum’s expectant gaze, you smirked. “Because when you’re finally back, we get to be like this.”
“Unable to move away from each other? Is there any space between us right now?”
“Do you want me to climb off?” you wondered innocently, unhooking one of your legs. Jaebum growled at your departing ways, firmly placing your leg back around his waist as he picked you up, kissing you hungrily again before looking between the couch and bedroom door for the best place to take you to catch up on all the things you had missed over the past few days.
You laughed at his eagerness despite the protests. “I didn’t think you’d want me off of you so soon.”

Saint-Agnès de Roma | Mark Tuan
A scholarship student like you has no business hanging out with the cool, filthy rich, teens of your private Academy... But somehow you still end up playing a naughty game with that one guy…
|| M.List || GOT7 ||
Protagonists: Mark Tuan & You
Word count: 8.2k
Genre: (N)SFW | Seven Minutes in Heaven | Boarding School | Enemies | First Love | **Unholy stuff**Catholic references**Swearing**Suggestive**
Lysandre’ note: FINALLY POSTING A NEW FIC. Trying to see if my shadowban is gone for ever and ever and ever. :’D I’m excited (can’t you tell?) and hope you like this.
Snippet: “You were kind of expecting the Reverend Mother to appear and throw the door open, yelling at you and Mark to get on your knees and recite Hail Mary any seconds now. He smiled, face glowing, illuminated only by the small rays of light coming through the door crack. Mark had a dangerous animalistic smile, one exposing canines and baring far too many teeth, often it made him look spooky. “Relax.” He commanded, hand climbing slowly on your side as his breathing neared your cheek. “I’m not gonna jump you. You were such a tease earlier. Is this really your first time?””
It was the long weekend of Thanksgiving, which for the rest of the students of the country, meant enjoying great food with their loving families. To the students of Saint-Agnès de Roma however, it was merely an opportunity to leave the dormitory and go wild for four days straight. If Jackson – the youngest son of the Wang family, and occasionally your best friend – was the one telling this story, he’d probably put it that way: Thanksgiving was the Saint-Agnès get-fucked Holiday. For all those ridiculously rich teenagers that long weekend meant; ski trips to the Rocky Mountains, manors deserted of any parental figures, countless parties and even shopping sprees to London or Paris.
You couldn’t care less about all that.
For you, every year, holidays only meant having the girl’s senior dormitory all to yourself. For a few nights only, you wouldn’t be woken up by your roommate’s grinding her teeth, your studies wouldn’t be delayed by some jock disrupting the peace and quiet of the library. Thankfully, they were only a few students that stayed over during the rare weekends of freedom: the ones with family issues so bad they’d rather be here than home, and the ones with an official school punishment.
You were neither; the exception, the scholarship peasant, there merely to make others feel better about themselves.
This year’s get-fucked Holiday however, you had agreed to do something quite unorthodoxy.
Soothing imaginary wrinkles on your skirt, you breathed in slowly to gather courage as you neared the Wang’s mansion. You were beginning to wonder why you accepted to come in the first place. You shouldn’t have given in to your best friend’s plea, him begging didn’t make you special in any way. Jackson had always been extra like that. He was a social butterfly and he was ‘close’ with everyone and their mothers. You guys were polar opposites and there were days where you were convinced Jackson believed himself to be the center of the universe, which was only partially right.
Still, even with his amazing social skills, sometimes it seemed that Jackson couldn’t understand the most basic things about humans in society: Birds of a feather flock together.
No matter how hard he’d try, his friends would never accept you.
It wasn’t true that finally joining one of his little ‘get-togethers’ would suddenly make you fit in with the cool crowd. Besides, it’s not like you even wanted those rich brats to like you. You’d gone through Middle School and most of High School invisible. You could endure what was left of Senior year being known as "that kid”. It wouldn’t kill you and you’d much rather spend your Friday night alone at the dorm, binging the latest tv show on Netflix, than with all of them.
Unfortunately, Jackson would never forgive you if you bailed out now. He freaked out when you tried to refuse his invitation for the hundredth time. He kept insisting tonight was going to be the ‘greatest night of your life’. Unfortunately, if all the invitations to his previous parties were anything to go by, you bet you’d still hear this argument to try to convince you to come to the next one too… And all the ones after that.
Jackson couldn’t stand the idea of people staying on the sidelines, and you knew why. He was just as righteous and idealistic as his father, Mr. Wang – probably the only billionaire in the world who always insisted to be called by his first name.
Ruiju Wang was one of the biggest benefactors of, not only the Middle School of Sacred Heart and its big sister’s Saint-Agnès de Roma Academy but also of the local orphanage. That was the only reason a kid like you got to meet a golden spoon heir like Jackson in the first place. You being a big bookworm and nerd was only coincidental, and Ruiju, seeing your potential, offered to the Sisters of the orphanage to sponsor your studies in the top schools of the area. You had always been thankful, graduating from Saint-Agnès Academy, despite your unfortunate background, guaranteed you’d get into one of the best universities of the world.
Thanks to the Wang’s gigantic fortune – mostly made in the late 70s by grandma Zhou, who Jackson once told you built a highly illegal traffic ring of tobacco and opium in British controlled Hong Kong – you now had a promising future. Perhaps that’s why you hated to disappoint your best friend. A future was a gift most orphans of the world would kill for.
Perhaps that’s also why you made it to his giant wooden front door, Friday of this Thanksgiving Holiday. Your finger hovered for a short second over the doorbell, still hesitating to join the party. But even so, your choice had already been made, you promised Jackson...
Seconds later, you were already following your very excited friend through the maze of corridors. It seemed you were heading to the East living room where you had already been countless times for the Wang’s charity events. It was an isolated part of the house, as opposed to where the rooms of the three living servants – but they called them employees – were. Ruiju and Sophia Wang had left for Australia to visit their eldest son and his family. Jackson opted out, favouring this little get together instead.
“I am sooooo glad you came y/n! You are not going to regret this!”
You could only lie through your teeth, this would be your first party ever and you didn’t belong here at all. If it was anything close to what you heard from rumours at school or seen in 90s teen movies, you’d flee without hesitation.
“TA-DAH!”
Jackson threw the doors of the living room open in front of you, spreading his arms widely. The small group of partygoers inside turned to stare at your entrance, as though you dramatically interrupted the most serious talk ever. He wasn’t kidding when he said it would be a small gathering, there was only around ten people, and you knew all of them from school.
“Wow, isn’t this a sight to behold.” Salome – head of the Senior’s Girl Dormitory, Captain of the Girl’s Lacrosse team and second-best student of Saint-Agnès – giggled, staring at you up and down. She was the devil incarnate and you threw an accusing glare at Jackson, who had conveniently not mentioned her being here. She hated you for always placing first despite lacking the help of expensive private tutors and made sure your life was hellish because of it. “How’d you manage to leave school y/n? I bet your convent strongly opposed.”
“I took the bus.” You answered sarcastically, choosing to ignore her last insinuation. You weren’t a nun, and you took the glass of colourful punch Jackson was already handing you as if to prove it.
You drank the cold alcoholized juice, walking closer to the group. It tasted like what you always imagined a vacation to the Caribbean would; sugary, with too much stuff going on, but overall enjoyable. Tonight would be your first time really drinking alcohol, but you were determined to try to blend in and that clearly meant boozing. A lot.
“I didn’t know public transportation served this neighbourhood,” Salome mused, frowning in disapproval.
It didn’t. You always had to walk 30 minutes after the nearest bus stop to make it to the Wang’s.
“Anyway, I’m glad you could join us.” A dangerous smile stretched her lips and you swear you saw Mark Tuan – descending of a long lineage of Saint Agnès alumnae and infamous serial-dater – squeeze her shoulder to ease her. It looked like these two were on again, his right arm was stretched to enclose her against his chest, as if afraid she’d dare breathe if he’d let go for a second.
“Everyone, this is my best friend y/n, she goes to Saint-Agnès too.” Jackson beamed as you carefully sat at the last empty spot of their circle. In front of you, Salome exchanged a long look with her friend Marissa – a total bitch from a new money family. The others all smiled and nodded, nonchalant at best. You had known most of them for years although you’d never spoken, and you were pretty sure they also already knew who you were. “Be nice, she’ll join our game! Where were we?”
“Katy was about to tell us about the weirdest place she has ever woken up in!” Salome laughed and Katy’s boyfriend Luis – the grandnephew of the Tsar of Bulgaria, or whatever – groaned, embarrassed for her.
“Come on, tell us!” Someone else’s pressed on, impatient. “It can’t be bad enough for you to strip.”
Immediately it clicked, and your gaze widened, staring at the pile of abandoned socks in the middle of the circle. Apparently, even filthy rich teenagers had nothing better to do than playing dumb games at parties. Still, you were glad their attention had left you completely.
Truth or Strip was sort of a legendary game at Saint-Agnès de Roma, and, as far as you knew, it was the first time an outsider was witnessing the closed circle of cool kids playing it for real. Maybe your luck just turned, this was a great behavioural observation opportunity.
“I once woke up in a…” Katy paused for effect and Luis tilted his head, frowning in anticipation. “... Gentlemen’s Club in Miami!”
“Boooo!” Marissa exclaimed as soon as the confession left her mouth. “Who hasn’t?”
You laughed as everyone did, certain 99,9% of the world’s population had never even set foot in that sort of exclusive place.
“BUT,” Katy raised a finger to defend herself, “the night actually started in Los Angeles!”
Impressed clapping followed, and you smiled in your glass as their sick oversharing game moved on. Apparently, you were as invisible here as you were in school, which was a relief, even if you promised Jackson to make friends. Everybody got drunker by the minute and almost an hour later, they were still playing the game.
Jinyoung Park – of Park Films, by far the largest movie production company in Asia – lost his shirt in a very gentlemanly manner, refusing to give away the name of his first conquest. Mark Tuan lost his too, refusing to share the weirdest place where he ever had sex. Chao-Xing – daughter of a Chinese real estate mogul, rumoured to own more than a third of Vancouver – took off her tights to keep the phone number of Justin Bieber her dirty little secret. Hyunwoo Son – of the South Korean ambassador’s family – gave up his (rather outdated) Ralph Lauren’ Polo to avoid spilling the tea on the craziest thing he used his diplomatic immunity for.
Everyone kept losing pieces of clothing except you, and you were starting to feel the dangerous buzz of the alcohol through your veins. So far it was all fun and games, perhaps it really was a great thing you’d come to this party.
Looking at them making fools of themselves felt surreal and oddly satisfying.
Studying these people in their own habitat could be great for your plan of pursuing an Anthropology Major. It made you feel like your very own Jane Goodall in the Kenya jungle, learning how to interact with primates.
“Jackson!” Jaebum Im – rumoured to be the secret love child of a top actress and one of Hyundai’s already married chairmen – slapped a hand on the built shoulder of your close friend, ready to get him to confess some horrible deeds. “Who’s your first love?” There was a collective roll of eyes at the easy question, but it caught your attention. “Truth or Strip!”
“Y/n,” Jackson answered immediately, not embarrassed the least by it and you blushed when everyone looked at you. Your friend was way too honest at this game, he only lost a single sock so far. He bluntly answered almost everything.
“What!?” Marissa – both of them infamously dated for a year during your time at Sacred Heart’ Middle School – sneered, staring dagger at you. “When?”
“My family sent me at least a day per week at her place when we were young, so we got really close.”
“Your parents sent you to... a-an orphanage?” Her mouth dropped, clearly horrified by the idea. “Is that even legal?”
“Yes.” You replied before Jackson could get offended for you, grinning at her unemotionally. “We used to play together every weekend since we were 8 years old.”
“Well well…” Salome, who seemed to have forgotten your existence until then, smiled diabolically. Perhaps she really had forgotten, everyone was pretty drunk by then. After all, the party was already going on a full swing when you joined. “Looks like we haven’t played with you yet… What should we ask y/n?”
“It’s not how the game works.” Youngjae Choi – golden son of one of the teachers, Mrs. Choi, and main soloist of the Saint-Agnès choir – cut in, trying to stop her. Half of an official nerd himself, he was already too familiar with her dirty shenanigans. Lord knows what he was doing here tonight, maybe your common friend forcefully dragged him too. “It’s Jackson’s turn to ask!”
“Fine.” She rolled her eyes, miffed. “But it has to be y/n since she hasn’t played yet.”
“Y/n…” Jackson frowned, seemingly unable to think of a question invasive enough to satisfy the vultures, but still soft as to not make you regret you’d come. “Um…” Also, he already knew everything about you. Growing up in a Catholic orphanage wasn’t exactly the most propitious background for nurturing some dark and wild secret.
“Come on…” Another one sighed.
“Are you still a virgin?” Jaebum asked curious, earning himself a warning glare from the host.
“It’s too obvious she is,” Katy giggled, turning his more innocent question into something displeasing. As though being a virgin was nasty and shameful, you clenched your jaw. “Has she even ever been kissed to begin with?” From the corner of your eyes, you spotted Tuan straightening, probably ready to join in and make fun of you.
“Give me a second, I’ll think of something.” Jackson – your actual first kiss, by the way – ignored them, but you felt your face warm up.
Ultimately, the impending question didn’t matter, because you knew just the way to remain in control of their game, stay ahead and not give them the pleasure of embarrassing you. It’s the only advantage to being picked on often, you learn to understand the rules better than the ones making them. It’s like chess, if you’re always a move ahead, they can never truly get to you.
To survive tonight and fit it, you’d have to channel your inner Jane Goodall; think like a primate; become a primate.
It was a good thing you were done with your second drink. Already, your mind was numb in the most perfect way, you felt courageous and unbeatable. You were going to show them – those rich brats – show them you weren’t scared of anything. You could be fun. You could play and act dumb too. You could misbehave just like them.
Just as Jackson was opening his mouth to ask something, you started to pull at your dark t-shirt, riding it up and out of your suede skirt. The room automatically fell silent, everything stood still. The only thing you could hear was the sound of the stereo in the background, playing the dirty pop of the Hit 40. All the other girls only had stripped off their socks, tights or blazers so far, not wanting to take off anything more substantial, but you weren’t like others.
You’d rather expose yourself before they’d try to expose you.
After you threw your t-shirt on the pile of already stripped clothes, you sat there in silence as the boys cooed, highly conscious of your bra and mini skirt. Thank God you were tipsy enough to still act confident. Like another – primate you.
“What the heck?!” Jackson yelped, gaze crazy wide as he looked anywhere else but your exposed skin. “I haven’t asked my question!”
You shrugged, playing cool, “My answer is Strip.” Turning to Salome, you mimicked her earlier smirk. Right now, she looked like she had swallowed something nasty.
See? Virgins can be so much fun.
“Awesome...” Jaebum clicked his tongue, clearly entertained. “Looks like it’s your turn now, brainiac.” The boy’ Lacrosse captain handed you a third colourful drink, eyes dangerously lingering on the curve of your boobs.
By your standards, Im was the most handsome guy at the Academy, not that you’d ever tell anyone. He appeared out of nowhere at Saint-Agnès in 10th grade. According to the rumours, he earned himself this one-way trip by stealing his dad’s favourite sports car and crashing it into the Han River. His father was said to have sent him to Catholic boarding school only because his mother cried and begged for it not to be Military Academy. Jaebum was a ‘no comment’ type of guy, so nobody ever got to the bottom of his story. If it was true, you had to admit his mom horridly failed him. You were pretty sure Saint-Agnès’ Reverend Mother was scarier than any drill inspector could ever dream to be.
Accepting the drink, you blushed for everyone to see. It felt as though Jaebum’s eyes were fire on your neckline, as though it were his fingers and not simply his gaze that was on you. You didn’t feel exposed, you felt seen. Every single guy in the room – except Jackson – had his eyes glued to you and surprisingly, it wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be.
“Let’s stop now.” The host gloomily stared away. You knew him enough to be aware he thought he was responsible for letting his schoolmates corrupt you.
“Yes, let’s play another game.” Salome agreed all too eager, having recovered from your little stunt. You smiled widely as you took another big sip of the tropical punch, aware she was fuming.
“The Knot?” Marissa suggested.
“Strip Pong,” Luis replied, running his hand up and down Katy’s thigh.
You rolled your eyes as the ideas kept coming, all games you had no clue how to play and clearly involving losing more clothes and dignity. Mark Tuan snorted at your dramatic gesture, catching your attention.
He was also childhood best friends with Jackson, but you never hung out together after you entered High School. Jackson was the only one who kept publicly addressing you, whereas that jerk played the other kids’ scheme, the invisibility one. Mark offered you one of his legendary lopsided grins as you held his gaze. You quirked a brow in distaste for him to see, a part of you wanted that almighty guy to know he had no effect on you whatsoever. Not anymore anyway, you were way past that naive 11 years old phase where you thought he was kinda cute. Nowadays you weren’t one of his fangirls, dying for him to notice her.
Coming from alumni and rich – you-have-no-idea-how-rich – kind of family, Mark Tuan stood at the very top of Saint-Agnès eligible bachelor hierarchy, the type you bet student’ parents slyly mentioned at family suppers: “Are you friend with the Tuan kid? I hear he’s as beautiful as his mother. She was a Miss Universe in the late 80s.”: “Isn’t the oldest son of the Tuans in your class? He’s old money, they left Mainland China many generations back.” or perhaps even: “He’s worth 20 billion at the very least. Please, do shag him and get knocked up”.
You, however, had no parents shoving you his way. Mark Tuan had been the quiet and hard to get close with type even in Middle School, and of course, it took a Jackson Wang to break down his walls. But he wasn’t the shy kid following you two around anymore. Now Mark had found his own species and returned to the wild. Like all of them, he was all about Gucci tees, yachts, drugs, fun and whatever. You definitely hadn’t seen him at Sunday mass in a while.
From what you heard, he had become as superficial as these other rich jerks, going through girls as models go through clothes. Curiously, Salome always seemed to find a way to pull him back somehow. Why even bother? These two started dating on and off between Middle and High School and never stopped. The same summer you and Jackson had a fling. Why did Tuan like the she-devil though? Even Jackson didn’t have any clue, nor could justify his friend taste for the dark side.
Filthy rich players like Tuan weren’t a ‘catch’, they were the poison of modern society. They thought they could get away with anything.
“Suck and Blow.” Salome decided on the game Authority herself, unaware her very shirtless boyfriend was still checking you out. And boy was that a sight, even you had to admit it. He might’ve grown up to be a piece of shit, but Mark had become one damn good looking turd.
Once everyone agreed, you all stood and – Thank God – got dressed. You picked up your own t-shirt from the pile to put it on, relieved. Sure, you were confident, but you didn’t want to chill with them half-naked all night either. Done, the party spread in a circle again and, sensing your confusion, Youngjae pulled you by the wrist to his right. He then leaned in to whisper in your ear, not as subtle as he intended to: “We just pass a card around with our mouths without dropping it. It’s about timing, the pair that drops it has to deal with a punishment.”
“Ew, that’s disgusting.” You grimaced and he shrugged, apparently already familiar with the game. You didn’t peg him for the type to come to these parties often, but perhaps you were wrong. Perhaps the choir sweetheart had a secret thing for booze and dirty games… How intriguing, you turned to consider him anew. “Are you good at this?”
“I...” Youngjae hesitated a second too long, doubt shading his features, “am really, really bad.” He confessed like a sin, making you laugh. He was cute in a ‘pure guy’ kind of way, you were familiar through Jackson and often shared a table to study quietly at the library. Youngjae was also in Saint-Agnès’ top 5 and didn’t come from a particularly wealthy family, thereby an ally. Jackson once told you that Youngjae attending the Academy was in his mother’s teaching contract. His financial background made him comfortable and relatable somehow. At least you had someone like him here with you tonight. Jackson was way too busy hosting to notice you didn’t know where to put yourself.
“What’s the punishment?”
“Well, obviously, there’s a risk you’ll… kiss, by accident.” He cleared his throat, accidentally adorable. They were far worse fates than sharing a kiss with him, you decided. “And if you drop the card, the usual pun-”
“Have you never played, y/n?” Tuan, who somehow had appeared to your own right chuckled, amused by how clueless you were. “Cute.” You gulped, staring in his almond eyes, he was about the same height as you now. In your Middle School friendship years, he’d been shorter by many centimetres, never managing to grow fast enough to catch up to you. “Don’t worry.” Mark plucked his lips your way and winked, gaze dropping in your neckline. “I’m good enough at this for us two.” If you were reminiscing of young innocent feelings, his douchebag attitude definitely brought you back down to the present.
Strong of your alcohol confidence, you feigned to look over your shoulder in confusion. “Are you talking to me?” You pressed your chest with both hands like honoured to be blessed by his recognition. “Can you really see me?” Tuan blinked, taken aback and Youngjae snorted to your left. He was always a great public, easygoing and always laughing at your stupid jokes.
“Of course, y/n. Your bra was kinda hard to miss earlier.”
Having recovered, Mark’s rude tongue darted through his parted lips to taunt you and your face warmed treacherously. It had been forever since you two last spoke or stood this close. The way Mark was looking at you now felt unsafe, predaceous. You almost took a step away instinctively, but that wouldn’t have been a very ‘primate y/n’ thing to do so you held back.
“Good girl gone bad... I’m all here for you.”
Instead, at that, you rolled your shoulders and exchanged a glance with Youngjae.
“Well, you must not know a lot of good girls, Mark… We’re the very best at being bad.”
Youngjae immediately coughed and the player’s brows shot up, a new glimmer in his eyes. What the fuck was primate y/n doing, flirting? Why would you ever say something like that? Jesus.
“Well, colour me intrigued.” Mark exhaled before taking a sip of his cup and you stared, trying not to hate yourself for saying shit like that aloud. “Then a good girl like you probably has a few bad tricks to teach me.”
You were about to reply with something – hopefully clever – for him to sod off, when Jackson announced the start of the game, standing on the other side of the circle. Your jaw dropped, realizing it meant you’d play between Youngjae and Mark. You’d sooner eat a live spider than kiss that jerk. Oblivious to your inner turmoil, Jackson winked at you, taking out a credit card from his wallet. (Lord knows where it had been!) Without wasting a second more, he put it on his mouth, sucked air and lowered to Salome to his right, passing her the card.
The game had started. Suck. Blow. Suck. Blow.
Pretty simple and self-explanatory. You tried to concentrate on watching the others play with ease to prepare yourself. If you mastered the technique, there was nothing to be afraid of. Still, you suspected it was a lot harder than it looked though and you peeked at Tuan, nervous. In a matter of seconds, it was your turn and Youngjae lowered himself above you, brows furrowed in concentration. You sucked the card successfully, disgusted at the sensation of wetness on your lips. Dreading the next exchange, you turned to the man to your right, not without a certain sense of responsibility. You were usually good at games and you could own this one too. Tuan’s face drew nearer, and you stilled, trying to make it easier for him. You passed the card without any difficulties. Thank God, you sighed, watching it make its way faster and faster around the circle.
You would get herpes because of this stupid party game. Ew.
You lacked time to dwell on that new disgusting realization before it was your turn again. Clearly, the unspoken rule was to accelerate to make things harder. No one had dropped the card yet. Youngjae chuckled gladly when he successfully passed it to you once more and you tried to ignore the dirty wetness from all the other players this time. This time, Mark wrapped his hand around your neck to stabilize himself when you turned to him. Other players had done it too and it made the exchange easier, so you tried not to think much of it. Like you did earlier, when you felt him suck, you blew to let the card go. Only this time, to your absolute horror…
The card fell.
You barely managed to retreat away from Mark’s plucked lips in a panic to avoid any skin contact. Drunkenly stumbling backwards, you hit Youngjae who held you up with strong hands. The small gathering collectively laughed at the fail and Mark winced, falsely apologetic.
“Gee!” He snapped his fingers like a 30s cartoon character who just made a blunder. You stared, bewildered as he bent to pick up the credit card, tossing it to Jackson under a thunder of woos. Mark lost on purpose. You were almost sure of it. Next, to the awfully serious host, Salome was livid, looking like she was about to murder you on the spot.
“Seven Minutes in Heaven!” Bambam – a 2nd generation heir from Thailand, newly transferred after being successively kicked out of his four previous boarding schools in Asia (and very proud of it) – announced your punishment.
Unfortunately, you knew how to play that game.
“W-What?!” You gasped in dismay, desperately turning to Youngjae for help as Mark shrugged at you, smirking.
Seven Minutes in Heaven?! More like: your own personal Hell.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Salome crossed her arms in front of her petite frame, head about to burst. “She obviously dropped it on purpose!” Your mouth opened in befuddlement. It was the stupidest accusation in the history of mankind. “Mark.” She warned, and the young man shrugged again, unbothered by her dirty glare.
“Rules are rules.” He said with a laugh.
“It’ll be the most boring seven minutes of your life, Mark!” She snapped, lacing venom in her words and the others self-conceited asstwats stifled their laughs.
“Excuse me?” Insulted, you narrowed your eyes at the brunette. Alcohol was apparently making you forget that these rich brats’ opinion of you couldn’t matter less. Boring? Why was she taking her anger out on you? You weren’t the one who failed the game and it’s not like you were trying to seduce her disgusting boyfriend.
“Please y/n, everyone knows you’re frigid.” Spiteful, Salome snickered, but no one found her funny this time. Jaebum even took an instinctive step between you two. Wait… Was she jealous, of you? The thought made you secretly ecstatic. Jeez, she should keep Mark Tuan on a leash if she cared that much. It’s not like he wasn’t running around giving it to anybody in the first place.
“Sally, don’t–” Even he tried to stop her, but she cut him off.
“I mean, isn’t she saving herself to take the veil or something?”
Your jaw clenched at that one last insult. You were aware of your prudish reputation, an overly Catholic childhood tends to stick to anyone, but you hated it. Salome regularly used that to publicly ridicule you. This time was different though, and she was either too drunk or stupid – or both – to realize that. She had just shown you her entire hand.
You smiled, she’d given you leverage, the upper hand, something invaluable you never had before. Now you knew her weakness.
“Jackson?” The summoned boy winced at your call, apparently dying a thousand deaths. It was too late now, you were worked up and he recognized that expression on your face. There was no point trying to stop you. “Where’s the closet?” You asked, as if there was some sort of unholy place specially dedicated to playing that game.
“W-What?” He couldn’t have looked more alarmed
“Tuan and I obviously need a heaven.” You pressed on, rolling your eyes. You should’ve stopped, but you were getting way too defiant.
“We do?” Mark whispered for only you to hear, slight panic now showing.
“Rules are rules.” Primate y/n replied to him sarcastically.
You wouldn’t have played Seven Minutes in Heaven with that asshole just to abide by the rules of this stupid party, but if it made Salome lose her mind... Then it was the only reason you needed to be willing. You’d do almost anything to give her a taste of her own medicine.
Youngjae pulled at your elbow, mouthing a very clear ‘don’t’ as a warning, probably thinking you had a death wish. There was no way she’d let you live when she got back to the dormitory after the Holidays. Too bad for her, the she-devil was already making your life a living Hell. You grinned at Tuan, trying to look convincing. You didn’t see him anymore, he wasn’t that former childhood friend nor the school’s hottest manwhore.
Now he was it, your own personal vendetta.
“A closet?” Jackson breathed out, mind completely blank. You bet if it was anyone else playing, he’d laugh and cheer, turning into his usual overdramatic bubbly self. Right now, he looked nothing but dejected.
“To show Tuan a not-so-boring time.” You enlightened, seriously exasperated. This time everyone else came alive to guide you two. Mark, who followed with heavy feet, clearly had a change of heart, but you didn’t care. He was the one who dropped the card. He didn’t have to do it for laughs, to bluff like that. What an ass.
‘We’re still young and they aren’t all that bad. You need to learn to have fun y/n!’
That’s what Jackson had said to convince you to come. I’m trying, you thought, I’m being; not boring. You bet now he was regretting ever inviting you.
You had to enter a guestroom to find an actual closet and it was empty and surely uncomfortable, like pretty much anything in the Wang’s gigantic mansion. Still, in a daze, you stepped it, followed closely by Mark. As soon as the door closed behind, you heard a chair being dragged to block it.
Now if either of you wanted to make a run for it, you couldn't. Great….
“Why’d you do that for?” You immediately ushered and hit his arm, freaking out at the dramatic shift of atmosphere. Before, you were sure he lost on purpose and he must have had intricate ulterior motives. There was no way one of the biggest playboys of the Academy did that just to earn himself seven minutes in the dark with your nerdy ass.
“Weren’t you begging for this to happen just now?” Mark drew nearer and you backed away until you couldn’t escape anymore. His arms found the wall on each side of your head. That proud asshole didn’t seem half as reluctant at the thought of you now that nobody could see him. This situation felt awfully intimate... Even though Salome was probably counting the seconds until she could open the doors.
“Besides, I haven’t done anything yet.” His whisper made you shiver as his breath fawned over your face.
You exhaled anxiously, staring back at him, oscillating. “Your girlfriend is going to kill me.” Perhaps you shouldn’t have drunk that much. Sure, you told Jackson you would try to fit in, but right now, with Mark, locked in this closet... It felt as though you had succeeded at becoming an entirely different person and you wondered if you’d find yourself back once the door reopened.
Jane Goodall did struggle after she left the primates to their jungle and returned to her own reality.
“Who?” He questioned innocently, “When I’ll date for real I won’t play around.” Mark’s right hand found your hip bone in the semi-darkness, thumb brushing your stomach through the fabric. You stilled, not knowing how to react to that. “Sally’s just a little intense,” he glanced down at your lips, “sorry she’s being hard on you.”
“That’s the understatement of the year.” The last world barely left your throat. From this close, this turd… He smelled kind of nice. Dammit.
“So… Are you really a good girl?” Mark hummed softly, leaning closer, voice deeper than the freaking Pacific ocean. Betraying goosebumps immediately spread on your skin. Right, you closed both eyes in defeat. That was why he made sure to lose the game. He knew it would turn out like this. “I bet it’s true...”
Mark's tongue darted out, catching the light and your eyes dropped on his lips. It was unfair. You weren’t prepared to face that kind of threat tonight. He was getting all predacious again and you were an easy prey. Sure, you hated the guy… When sober, collected, in control of yourself… Apparently, being pressed against a hot torso in the secrecy of a closet can change one’s perspective. You were almost trembling, blood boiling, body turned to stone; trapped.
“That you’re good at being bad.” Mark let out a weird small exhale, almost inaudible, tilting his head to the side.
Oh God, he was going to make this happen.
You had kissed boys before – OK fine, mostly Jackson and only when you were about twelve – but you had never made out in a dark closed space with anyone and surely that was bound to be sinful. Just being this close with Mark was surreal, electrifying, completely wrong. Did all guys smell like that? Jesus.
You were kind of expecting the Reverend Mother to appear and throw the door open, yelling at you and Mark to get on your knees and recite Hail Mary any seconds now.
His thumb pressed that spot on your hip and you inhaled sharply in apprehension, almost a purr. How humiliating, you’d never even made a sound like that. That jerk’s touch was more inhibiting than alcohol. Primate y/n was a traitor. Hopefully, you’d remember not to ever trust her again tomorrow morning, when you’d sobered up. Mark must have heard it because he smiled, face glowing, illuminated by the small rays of light coming through the door crack. He always had a dangerous animalistic smile, one exposing canines and baring far too many teeth, often it made him look spooky.
“Relax.” He commanded, hand climbing slowly on your side as his erratic breathing neared your cheek. “I’m not gonna jump you. You were such a tease earlier. Is this really your first time?”
Mark wasn’t that much of a talker in Middle School, this new him was the worst. He chuckled silently, unaware of your thoughts and a resolve birthed in your chest at his amusement. You weren’t about to let that guy boast later to the whole school about how inexperienced you were. Especially not to his bitchy non-girlfriend. Strong of determination and anticipation, you put your own hands around his hips, unsure where else they should go. You weren’t going to freak out. You weren’t going to be boring. You might as well go all out if primate you were about to do this to herself.
“No,” you lied, almost convincing your drunk self. “it’s not.”
“I’m gonna kiss you...” Mark announced with his alpha tone, not buying the lie. Although his statement should have sounded awkward, it made you shiver at the suspense. Through the tip of your fingers on his shirt, you felt his heart thump loudly in his chest. Was he nervous? Surely not, you bet he’d kissed a thousand girls in dark closets.
“Well…” You faked confidence again, acutely conscious of how hot he was now– in every possible way… Even if he was a disgusting manwhore. “Is it coming today or...”
Mark was still baring his toothy grin when your noses brushed. You’re the one who met his lips in the middle, surprisingly tilting your head to help.
He tasted of Caribbean punch, a mix between warm nights, fresh fruits and bonfire. It was addictive, not half-bad. Instantly, Mark’s kiss became insistent, his mouth opened against yours, adding pressure and you obeyed, too dazed to do anything or have second thoughts.
He was trapping you against the wall roughly, ravaging you. He had absolutely no mercy and you were pushing back with all your might to survive, hips, lips and hands all over. This wasn’t about the reality outside at all, any thought of the others completely vanished the second Mark slid his hand under your shirt. You let him do it, skin awaken by the touch, discovering a thousand new nerves on your body.
Yes, you had become another y/n.
That was the only explanation. A y/n that makes out in dark rooms with cool kids and grinds into them shamelessly, but just for seven minutes.
Seven extremely messy minutes.
Mark groaned in your mouth, skilled fingers caressing your stomach softly and you curved against him, craving more, possessed. Your skin was buzzing, like screaming, begging to feel him more. His left hand hiked up your body in a hurry, climbing under your t-shirt in your back and you prayed the door wouldn’t shed light on this scene. It would be terribly embarrassing; you were letting him put both of his hands up your shirt. Mark pressed his leg between yours that opened automatically, and your fingers entangled themselves in his hair, almost for support. He never broke the kiss. He too, probably knew better than to waste any second of whatever shared craziness this moment was.
“So good,” Mark grunted, words shaking to escape his throat and you opened your eyes in amazement, “but so bad.”
Shared hysteria. That was what this was.
You both weren’t done though. He adventured his left hand on the fabric of your bra and you froze briefly. Mark must have felt your hesitation because he kept it there. He didn’t push it further nor did he take it away and it felt weird. Like your heart was about to burst through your left breast for him to hold. Sometimes you dreamed of being touched like that, but it was even better than what you imagined, overpowering.
Even if it was by Mark Tuan, or perhaps even more frighteningly; because it was him. This was all Primate y/n’s doing, anyway, not yours.
The Reverend Mother would’ve had a heart attack if she knew where you were and with whom. Your head was spinning, imagination taking this even further. This deserved at least a thousand Hail Marys, a plethora of Rosaries.
“Fuck,” He whispered in your mouth, the sound like thunder. “Who knew.”
Not you.
You had no idea you were so easy, such a whore. He resumed kissing you as though this was perfectly normal, but perhaps he just couldn’t stop either. You could feel him through his pants, the bad boy wasn’t so unphased by you. This was so new, everything was exhilarating. Mark rocked between your legs, causing your eyes to roll back in your head. You were enjoying every second of this, you were right; Seven Minutes in Heaven with Mark Tuan was your own personal Hell. Whatever this was would haunt you later on for sure. The smell of his skin, the taste of his tongue, the touch of his hand. But you were shameless, you took it all. You didn’t have any second to waste before reality hit. Mark pushed against you again and you pressed closer involuntarily, wondering if he was doing it on purpose.
The direct friction on your tights and panties was going to make you lose your damn mind. You slid one of your own hands under his shirt to feel the abs you spotted earlier during the Strip or Truth game. You ran your nails on his body, and he moaned.
Mark Tuan, actually moaned while making out with you.
You stilled for a heartbeat, unsure if this was supposed to be good or not until he bit your lips, rolling it between his teeth. And you came alive again, because... Jesus. That was unexpected. And Lord, that felt like Heaven. Your hands slid to his back to pull him closer and Mark obliged, fingers caressing the curve of your boobs endlessly, every bit of skin not covered by your bra. In the moment, you wanted to ask him to touch you under the fabric, wanted to know if you would break, but your mouth was too busy being full of him.
As though he heard your thoughts, or unable to refrain from it anymore, Mark’s left hand finally slipped under your bra to touch your breast. He brushed your nipple, causing you to make another embarrassing inhuman sound, something low that he swallowed and kept to himself. Thankfully, Mark only became more eager after that. He used his other hand to press you harder on him through his pants, rolling his hips forward. Your whole body was ablaze, alive in a way it had never been before, and surprisingly Mark seemed as equally taken. His kisses were messy, his breathing on your face heavy as if he was running a marathon. According to your heart rate, you certainly were too.
Mark mumbled unintelligibly, something about his will failing and doing this sooner, as he slipped his free hand to where your thighs met. Before you could process what he said, he touched that forbidden place through your tights and panties, even just like that it felt overwhelming and dangerous. Instantly, you fidgeted and dug your nails in his skin. He hissed and stilled too, but you pulled at him, undecided on what you wanted to do next. Reality was still waiting outside that door.
“Mark…” He seemed to recognized the call for whatever it truly was, and his fingers started to move cautiously on the fabric.
“Shhh, don’t want them to hear, do we?” Mark’s head dropped in the crook of your neck to suck on your skin. Your whole body was humming at his touch, like wanting to be heard, to scream for the world to know.
Right. Reality. You covered your mouth with your hand, flustered. If you were still logical, sober and calm, you’d push him away, ask him to stop, but you didn’t want that. You wanted Mark to keep going, keep that up for an eternity, nothing else mattered. “Mark, this is s-so…”
Summoned, he grunted on your neck pleased you kept calling his name. “Good,” he asked, lips now brushing yours “being bad?”
Reprobate. Wrong. Lewd. Vile. Immoral. His fingers were still rubbing you, and you sighed, clinging to him, unable to say anything else. Perfect. Mind-blowing. Addictive. Perfectly right.
“Fuck, you’re so hot.” Hot.
“Me?” Hot. “Have you lost your mind?” You giggled and he joined, complicit.
“Yeah,” Mark’ hands abandoned their dirty deeds to cup your face, pulling you in for a deep kiss, “long ago.”
“When?” Seeing your frown, he grinned way too largely again. He was just about to answer when reality interrupted.
“ONE MINUTE!” Someone loud – very Bambam-esque – hit the door and you both jerked away, startled.
How many bases did you two run anyway? Suddenly, you wished you knew baseball enough to get the sexy metaphors. Was that only the first base? This felt like way more.
“Fuck,” Mark swore again, exhaling loudly. “Y/n, that was… so hot.” That word again. It was the first time someone used it to describe something about you. Then again, tonight felt like a night full of ‘firsts’. Mark reached for your skirt that had riled up your hips and pulled it downwards, hiding how far your game had gone. The fact that it was his first move gave away how accustomed he was to that kind of heated make-out sessions and you shook your head from side to side, remembering who you were with and why. Right. He was the player of Saint-Agnès de Roma, a manwhore… Surely that was why.
“Did you drop the card on purpose?” You asked hurriedly while he was making sure your t-shirt was back to its original place.
He blinked, staring at you for a long second like you were a dimwit. “Yes.”
“Why?” You were determined to leave this place with a clear answer.
“Well, y/n,” Mark murmured, pressing his lips on yours and running his tongue at the edge of them one last time, “I don’t think I could make myself any more obvious.”
“W-What?”
“TIME’S UP!” Someone yelled – yep, it was Bambam – letting the too cruel light shine on the scene inside the closet.
Thankfully, Mark was standing at a safe distance when the door opened. Still, he must have looked guilty somehow, because Jaebum applauded, impressed.
“Jesus Christ,” Jackson swore – a very rare occurrence – when he saw your ruffled hair and swollen lips.
Another day, you’d feel like hiding away, but, probably because of the rush of oxytocin and all that Caribbean Punch, tonight, primate you just shrugged it off. Your mind was caught up elsewhere, up in the clouds. No wonder that jerk was so popular with girls.
After those Seven Minutes in Heaven, you had learned three new things:
One, Mark Tuan could Jedi trick you into doing absolutely anything.
Two, you could make him lose his mind...
And three…
You sneaked a look his way while getting pulled by Jackson out of the (blessed) closet. Mark was strangely silent, letting his friends tease him without much reaction. He met your gaze and you misstepped, almost falling on the Wang’s luxurious carpet. Jackson caught you in extremis and your clumsiness made Mark snort, struggling to conceal his inhuman grin. There he was, making fun of you again.
And three... Tonight was obviously going to become a regular thing between you two.
And you weren’t the one making the rules.

Jaebum AU
one / two / three / four / five / six / eight / nine /
Characters: Im Jaebum x Reader
Genre: Drama, Romance, Mature
Plot: No matter how heartless you acted, you would always give in for her happiness
a/n: help me. uni is draining me, but i’m glad i wrote this before hand. i hope y’all enjoy
The bells on the door of the coffee shop chimed as you made your entrance. Your eyes scanned the little area searching for the familiar face. She must’ve noticed your entry because she rose a hand to get your attention.
Your lips curled into a nasty smirk, as you walked towards her. Her face was pale with worry, and her fingers fidgeted on the table, nervously, with two cups of coffee waiting for you.
“Thank you for being able to meet me on such a short notice,” you greeted her, your words meaning business, but your tone was a backhanded remark. You shot her a smile, as you looked at the coffee she had chosen.
“Oh my god, sister!” You replied in humoured shock, bringing a hand to your chest. “You remembered my favourite drink! I thought you had got a dangerous disease that made you forget about everyone, but yourself.”
You sipped on the milky coffee, as you saw her fists clench and unclench on the table, as she swallowed anxiously.
“I don’t know where to start, y/n,” your older sister sighed, softly. Those were her first words to you since she left your’s and Jaebum’s family to deal with the damage of her reckless actions.
“An apology and explanation is a great place to start,” you told her folding your hands in front of you, with a haughty smile.
You weren’t going to show her how nervous you were, or how your heart was shaking from the inside. You were glad to see her alright, and you were happy to see that she was living happily. But you didn’t want her to have the satisfaction of being accepted back with arms wide open.
“I’m sorry, y/n,” she started quietly, her eyes on the table, frantic. “I couldn’t do it.
I couldn’t marry him.”
You snorted at that, but she continued.
You felt sorry for her. You really did, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to forgive her. Her reasons for just not being able to marry him and hurting everyone in the path was unforgivable. She hurt your parents, Jaebum’s parents, you and mostly Jaebum.
You didn’t talk about it, and your sister probably failed to see, but there was always a sadness lurking in Jaebum’s eyes. A kid who was heartbroken and needed love to be repaired lived in those dark pools. Your sister, who didn’t see it or saw it and choose to ignore, and hurt him even more, making him even more miserable than he ready was.
You couldn’t forgive your sister because she couldn’t tell Jaebum that she wanted outs. You couldn’t forgive her because she almost ruined him completely; his reputation and him as a human. You couldn’t forgive her for hurting Jaebum because her nerves got the best of her.
“I thought I could do it. I was preparing myself for it from the moment our wedding was decided, but when the day game...” She sighed, tiredly as she shook her head. Her dull eyes lifted from the table and met yours, as she tried to make you believe her.
“I was in love with him, y/n,” her breath came out shaky. “I couldn’t let him suffer like that.”
You stared at your sister in disbelief.
There she went again; acting like the whole good of the world depended on her selfless decisions. As if her decision of not showing up on her wedding day was saving everyone involved.
“If you loved Jaebum; you should’ve been the one exchanging the vows with him, not me.” You replied, through gritted teeth.
“No,” she shook her head, instantly. “I don’t love Jaebum. We never saw each other that way.”
Your brows scrunched in confusion as you tried to understand what she was saying.
Your mind went back to the time you both were lying in bed, and you saw the hickey on her neck. She had giggled and told you it was from someone special. She showed you her letters and mixtapes that the person who had marked her neck gave to her.
She never told you a name, but she didn’t have to. You had always assumed it was Jaebum, anyways.
“Then,” you breathed confused. “Who gave you the hickeys, and the love letters?”
She bit her lip as she looked at the table.
“There’s something you should know,” she let out a deep breath, gathering all her courage. “The reason I didn’t show up that morning was that I took a test.”
She met your eyes trying to make you understand, but you couldn’t get her.
“It came out positive, y/n.” A smile was now on her lips, as her eyes sparkled with joy. She moved from her seat and stood up, showing her baby bump.”I’m pregnant.”
“Oh my god,” you gasped, tears filling your eyes. Despite how much you resented her for leaving you in this mess, and hurting Jaebum, you couldn’t not be happy for her.
You got from your seat and hugged her as tears streamed down your cheeks. All the false bravado you had walking in through the door melted away, and you were really happy and relieved, and you showed yourself to your sister.
She knew you better than anyone else and smiled at you, as you smiled brightly at her. She wasn’t surprised with your attitude, instead, she had expected it.
She knew you were never one to scream and shout or turn a blind eye. She knew you would face the issue head-on and torture the other person until they begged for mercy.
Your sister knew you the best. Even though everyone treated you worlds apart; she understood you the best.
You snorted as you thought of our parents. They would’ve been just as ecstatic to have their precious daughter back.
You knew she could’ve easily won your parents back, but a little angel in her arms would make them more in love with her. They would give up the whole world for their grandchild.
“D-does Jaebum know?” You stammered, trying to get your thoughts together.
“I didn’t really have time to tell him,” she bit her lip. “Does he know you’ve met me?”
“Not yet,” You shook your head, before sitting back in your seat.
“This is so messed up, your child’s aunt is their father’s wife.” You shook your head, feeling exhausted.
“What? No!” Your sister gasped. “Jaebum and I weren’t in love. We were just friends in a contract marriage with zilch feelings for each other. It was like an open relationship-”
“You both had an understanding,” you added, with pursed lips. Your mind going back to the conversation between Jaebum and you in the kitchen.
However, the contract marriage didn’t change much of anything for you.
Jaebum was still in love with your sister and was too much of a pompous twat to admit it. Your sister was living with her dream guy, with a baby growing inside of her. While Jaebum found his distraction with his little play toy, Cynthia.
And of course, there was you, Mrs Im Jaebum.
“Exactly.” She nodded, before biting her lip with a small smile. “The guy at your apartment.”
“Joshua.”
“Josh is the father. I’ve been in a relationship with him since before Jaebum and I were engaged.” She told you, with a small smile.
Her smile dissolved and she gave you a sorrowful look, as she stared into your eyes with regret.
“I’m so sorry, y/n.” She apologised again.
You didn’t say that you forgave her because you couldn’t. You could be civilised with her, and treat her like your sister, but you couldn’t forgive her. You weren’t your parents who would see the white flag she waved with her baby bump, and a bucket full of sorry’s, and forgive her immediately.
Instead, you turned the conversation to something that had been bugging you since you found the photo of your sister and Joshua.
“Did our mother know?” You asked her, your voice low.
You didn’t need her to answer because you knew what she would say. But when she nodded her head slightly, all your doubts were confirmed.
“Guess who my new tenants are, Jaebum?” You greeted the male, as you barged into his study.
Jaebum looked up from his paperwork, reading glasses sitting on his nose, as he watched you walk in. His shirt rolled up at his sleeves, tie loosened around his neck, with the first two buttons open.
He let out a sigh, as he leaned against his chair, running his hand through his already messy hair.
You settled across from him and crossed one leg over the other.
You took him in and pursed your lips as realised how goddamn delicious he looked. The image from yesterday in the gardens flashed in your mind, and you bit your nails into your palm to keep your head steady.
“A certain Mr and Mrs Joshua Adams,” you smiled wickedly at him, succeeding in hiding his effects on you.
You saw his face shift for a moment upon hearing the familiar name, before going back to its normal arrogant stare. If you weren’t looking closely, you probably would’ve missed it.
“Mrs Adams is pregnant,” you added, trying to see any form of pain in his expression. But that left him even more unaffected than hearing the name.
“She looks a lot like my sister,” you sang playfully, as you tilted your head to the side, giving him a mocking grin.
“Okay fine,” Jaebum held his hands up in defeat, rolling his eyes. “So you found your sister.”
You grinned widely, as you nodded your head feeling proud.
“I would’ve missed it,” you told him, shrugging. “They hid their photos in the bathroom when they knew I was coming by to collect a few things. But luckily my business was in there.”
“What business did you have in your tenant's bathroom?” He scrunched up his nose in question.
You gave a pointed look, then leaned back in your seat, watching him.
“How do you feel about all this?” You asked, curiously.
“I’m happy for her.” He told you, his voice steady and light.
You got up from your seat and made your way to where he was sitting. You placed a hand on the chair, beside his head, and the other on his armrest as you stared at his face.
“Say that again,” you squinted your eyes, trying to find out if he was really unaffected and telling the truth. “How can you be so unaffected if the girl you love is with someone else?”
“I wasn’t in love with her, y/n,” Jaebum told you. His hard eyes staring at you, as the same unknown emotion swam in his eyes, again.
Your tummy flipped, as your cheeks painted pink.
However, you could Jaebum was telling you the truth; just not the whole truth.
“Then who was she?” You breathed, leaning back onto his wooden table. You watched his face turn into a confused frown as he peered at you.
“What do you mean?” He asked.
“Your eyes,” you replied, your voice soft. “Sometimes I see the broken hearted little boy in there.
“I saw it on our wedding day.”
It was the first time you had acknowledged the wedding day as something that belonged to Jaebum and you, alone. A memory for the both of you, and no one else.
“On our wedding day?” He echoed, a playful smirk danced on his lips, as he got up from his seat.
Jaebum placed his land on the table underneath you, holding you captive in her arms. He leaned in closer; close enough for his minty breath of gently brush your cheeks. His eyes held on you, watching you squirm in amusement.
You turned away from his heated gaze, as your cheeks flushed. You felt his gaze burn on the side of your face, causing butterflies in your tummy.
“Answer my question, Jaebum,” you faced him again, your spoilt princess persona coming through. “Who was the girl that broke your heart?”
Jaebum took a step closer to you, the same hurt look of a heartbroken man returning in his eyes.
Jaebum brought a hand up and softly, caressed your cheek. His eyes he kept studying your face; searching your eyes as if all the answers to the world was hidden deep within them. Your breath hitched as he placed his other hand on your waist.
Your heart was drumming loudly in your ears, as your veins glowed from hazy pink. Jaebum’s touch and gaze were too much for you to handle, and you could tell you were having the same effect on him.
HIs breath came out short and ragged, as he gently rubbed his thumb across your cheek.
“My heart broke when I was eighteen,” he replied, his voice low, resonating deep in your chest. “She didn’t even realise that she crushed my heart under her red heels.”
“Does she have a name?” You whispered, softly.
When you didn’t get a reply, a light smile made its way onto your lips.
“So, now, you have a thing for red heels?” You smirked playfully, after a moment. Not wanting to push his comfort zone.
Jaebum returned your smile, as his hands burned you with his touch. You rose an eyebrow, and he chuckled in reply, his eyes falling to the floor before meeting yours with light dancing in them with delight.
“You can say that,” his lazy smile returned to his face.
“I always knew you had a long list of kinks,” your eyes sparkled, as you ran your hand over his shoulder. “You look like you’d be a devil.”
“And you look like someone who needs to be punished.”

Anywhere with you.
➝ pairing: im jaebum x reader
➝ words count: 600+
➝ genre/warnings: suggestive; sexual content, teasing, grinding, …
➝ summary: Late-night visits in your lover's studio turn into something more... again.
Carefully you walked into his studio, ensuring you wouldn't disturb him with whatever he was currently doing. Deep, low beats spread across the room, indicating he was still working on something.
Placing the take-away cupcake box on the side table next to your boyfriend, you caught his full attention. He raised his head, smiling at you.
"There she is!"
You grinned at him, only to be pulled onto his lap the next beat. "I've missed you," he muttered into your ear, the tip of his nose hidden in your soft hair.
"Missed you too." Your arms wrapped around his neck, tugging him even closer. "What are you working on? I like what I'm hearing!"
Chuckling, he raised a brow at you. "Oh, do you? I just finished these. Might use them for my next EP. We'll see." Jaebum moved your hair over one shoulder, offering himself access on the other side to place delicate kisses on it.
Relishing the sudden physical contact, you hummed delightedly. "What are you doing, babe?" you asked, giggling. "I brought you cupcakes. Don't you want one?"
"Maybe later," he purred, his plush lips brushing the bare skin on your shoulder blade. "I found something much more delicious here." One of his palms ran up your inner thigh, settling down on a precarious spot.
"But they'll get all mushy if we won't eat them now." Slightly toying with him, you wanted to see where this would take you. Usually, you wouldn't dare to object, yet you were in the mood to do so anyway. At least a little.
Groaning in frustration, the grip on your thigh strengthened while his other hand slipped underneath your arm to rest on your belly. His fingers played with the hem of your shirt, fingertips dancing over your exposed skin every now and then, causing you goosebumps.
"Don't wanna wait," he sighed, his lips kissing all the way up your neck, making you moan and close your eyes. Tugging your lower lip between your teeth, your hands found his hair so fingers could rank through his obsidian-colored hair.
"You remember last time you were here with me?"
Playback of those memories initiated in your head, turning your cheeks crimson. "I do," you breathed, recalling every single detail of this moment. Last week you decided to visit him spontaneously, having pretty specific ideas on what to do with him. Being on a shopping trip beforehand, you wanted to surprise him with brand new lingerie purchased only for him. Unable to wait for him to come home later that night, you figured you'd show him right here, right now. And he loved it.
"You visiting me is always so... compelling."
You grew impatient at this point, shifting your weight only to reposition yourself by straddling him shortly after. "You don't say," you whispered, placing your hands on his shoulders to gently let them run down his upper body.
That's when his lips found yours, capturing them eagerly. Your addicting traces along his body made him lose his mind. Every single time.
Jaebum grabbed your hips, squeezing them in order to raise his crotch so you could feel how much he needed you at this point. You started grinding your hips down on him, causing him to deeply moan against your lips.
"You're driving me crazy, babe."
Still holding on to your waist, he stood up in one quick movement, helping you wrap your legs around his mid to walk you to the side table. He placed you next to the cupcake box, pressing his body close to yours. Hands and lips everywhere, he was almost devouring you.
Just like he did last time...

Fic Recommendations
This is a list of all the fics that I recommend. I will be continually adding to this list as I discover new ones that I enjoy reading. I hope you all find some entertainment in reading the fics I have suggested.
Got7
All
Smut
- A Theory by @maknae-unnie
Excerpt: “Okay so I have this…theory I’m testing. And I need your help. But you all have to agree, okay? Can you do that?” I questioned.
Bambam, Youngjae and Jackson nodded immediately. JB just raised an eyebrow. Yugyeom looked a little concerned but only Mark and Jinyoung had the sense enough to ask “What?”.
Mark Tuan
Angst
- Things Never Changed by @sugasgrowl
Excerpt: There’s an old philosophy that says “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. The sentiment seems beautiful. Poetic, even. The thought that your absence from someone’s life will be an ever-present hollowness that makes it nearly impossible to complete simple daily tasks–the constant memory of the one you love dancing along the edges of your mind, just barely out of reach from your shaking and nostalgic fingers. The deep and meaningful love a connection that is blatant and comforting and unwavering, even with thousands of miles of ocean separating you. Poetic, indeed.
But it’s just not realistic.

“I don’t know why, Jaebum—”
“It’s been 4 years,” He cuts my sentence. “4 years of trying to conceive.” Frustration echoes from his voice.

got7 reaction | red dress by magic!
warnings: some are suggestive and contain strong language.
"hey you with the red dress on"
im jaebum:
jaebum looked at his watch and let out a frustrated sigh. it had been almost 15 minutes since you said you were almost done. at this rate, you two would be certainly late to the event. as the leader of got7, he didn't want to be late because it was an important event for the group but you were not cooperating. he started pacing back and forth on the living room.
"y/n please, you are beautiful as you are! let's just go" he passed his hand on his hair "we're gonna be late!"
"i promise i'm finishing!" you yelled back making him groan and sit on the coach.
he took his phone out of his pocket ready to text the boys to let them know he was going to be late thanks to you but he stopped mid texting when he saw you walking out of the room.
"is this okay or is too much?" you asked.
he couldn't answer. he was too busy admiring you. the red dress you chose hugged your body perfectly and it even had a slip. you looked so gorgeous that he couldn't even think right.
"jaebum?" you called "i'm going to assume it's okay because we don't have time for me to change, let's go?"
"you look gorgeous, babe" he finally manage to say.
"aw. thank you" you walked up to him and kissed his cheek "are you ready to go?"
"i am, yes" he got up from the couch "you know, we don't really have to take long there, we can just make an appearance and come back home"
"i thought you were excited to spend the night with the boys? it's been a while since you saw them"
"well, that was before you put on this dress" he said making you laugh.
"okay, we can come back earlier"
he smirked as he took your hand leading you to the door.
mark tuan:
you were talking with mark's mom. it was the wedding of one of his cousins and you two had been invited. however, as soon as you two stepped on the venue, his mom stole you from him. all he was able to do was watch you from distance as his mother introduce you to everyone and talked to you.
you didn't mind a bit. you loved mark's mom. and usually, mark didn't as well. the thing was the red dress you had chosen to wear. it was driving him crazy. once you stepped out of the room asking if it was okay to wear it, he wondered if it would be okay to skip his cousin's wedding. you were the one who said you two had to go because he was seriously considering the idea of staying in the house and take off that dress from you.
you were feeling mark's eyes following you everywhere you went with his mother. you tried to ignore it but it was so obvious that even his mother noticed.
"mark must be jealous i stole you" she said smiling.
"he'll survive" you smiled back.
"he loves you very much i can tell" she held your hand.
"i love him very much too" you squeezed her hand.
"now, go back to him before he opens a hole on you from staring that much"
you let out a laugh as she squeezed your hand before leaving to talk with other people. before you could scan through the party to find mark, he appeared by your side.
"let's go" he said grabbing your hand.
"to where?" you looked at him confused.
"you're driving me insane with this dress!" he exclaimed as he lead you through the people "i need to kiss you properly, we'll be right back"
jackson wang:
the party had been going on for a while but jackson didn't seem to leave your side. it was a celebration for the new team wang release, and you were sure he had some people to meet and talk instead of following you everywhere you went.
once he finished talking with one investor who approached him, you turned to him, crossed your arms and raised a brow. it was time to discover what the hell he was doing because this wasn't like him at all.
"what?" he asked.
"what do you think you are doing?" you asked "jackson, you've been following me everywhere"
"ah" he licked his lip.
"did something happen? you're not like this"
"that's your fault, actually" he shrugged.
"what do you mean it's my fault?" you frowned.
"your dress it's hypnotizing me" he smirked.
"be serious, jackson" you slapped his hand lightly.
"i'm serious, babe" he passed his arm around your waist "while we are on this topic, why don't we ditch and go home? i wanna-"
"we're not going home, jackson" you interrupted him.
"why not?" he pouted.
"this is your party, mr.boss!" you chuckled "you cannot go home, you're the star"
"then, could we go to the toilet real quick? i need to kiss you properly" he kissed your cheek.
you rolled your eyes smiling "no, we cannot" you pushed him away "you'll have to wait until we get home, now go do what you do best and socialize"
"but y/n!"
"see you later, babe!" you said leaving him behind as you walked towards the table of some people you knew.
park jinyoung:
the night had been long. you and jinyoung had attended an event to promote his new drama, but it had taken more time than expected. once you were allowed to leave, jinyoung grabbed your hand and guided you straight for the car.
during the ride, jinyoung didn't say a word. he was so concentrated and driving faster than normal. you found it weird but didn't question, maybe he was tired. you just kept rubbing his hand that was placed on your thigh.
once you arrived at home, you started taking off your shoes. they were killing your feet. you entered the house going straight for the kitchen, not bothering to take off your red dress.
"i'm hungry" you stated "do you want anything, baby?"
jinyoung didn't answer, which made you look back only to see he was still standing at the door.
"baby? are you okay?" you frowned.
"you drive me crazy" he rolled his eyes approaching you.
you chuckled "that's not news, but what did i do this time?"
he passed his hands around your waist "you put on this dress and have the audacity to look beautiful and sexy the entire night when i can't touch you the way i want"
it was your turn to roll your eyes "don't be dramatic, you've already seen this dress before"
"i know" he pulled you closer "and everytime i still get breathless"
acknowledging his intentions, you passed your arms around his neck "i won't be able to eat, right?"
he smirked "i promise what i'm about to do is going to be worth it"
"okay, i accept" you say as you put your lips on his.
choi youngjae:
the dinner had only began but youngjae was already impatient to finish it. his parents had invited you two to dinner and of course you couldn't say no, besides you loved youngjae's parents. they were like your own parents since your actual parents were across the globe.
usually, youngjae loved to see you interact with his parents. it made him proud that his partner and his parents got along so well, but today he was feeling a lit bit bothered. it was because of the red dress you were wearing. as soon as you stepped in the restaurant and waved at them, he stopped functioning properly. the dress didn't have any thing out of normal, but he felt different seeing you in it.
you were taking your time with your plate talking with his parents, you had noticed youngjae was quieter than normal but still hadn't the opportunity to ask what was bothering him. when the new plate his parents ordered arrived and they became busy with it, you found a opportunity.
"what's up with you, love?" you asked in a low tone "what's bothering you?"
he approached you and whispered "you are the problem"
you looked at him offended "excuse me?"
he panicked a little "i didn't mean like that, love!" he whisper-yelled "i just mean you look so beautiful, it's making difficult for me"
you rolled your eyes "please behave, your parents are here"
"i know" he sighed and before he could say anything else his dad started asking you about your job.
youngjae knew he had to be patient but everything became even harder when you rested your hand on his thigh. he looked at you with wide eyes but you just shrugged and smirked as you continued talking with his parents.
bambam:
you and bambam weren't serious. at least that's what you thought, and even though you were not completely fine with that, it was better than not having him in your life at all.
you two had arranged to meet at a club. you had put a nice outfit and shoes but when you arrived at the club, bambam was nowhere to be seen. you sent messages but he didn't check. twenty minutes later, you were debating whether to go home or stay and try to have fun. since you had spent quite a while getting ready, you decided to not let go to waste and decided to have fun.
you were dancing loosely at the dance floor trying not to think about bambam when a man approached you, you didn't recognize him first but soon discover him to be a classmate of yours. he asked if you wanted to stay with him and his friends, and since you were alone, you thought why not.
you were having fun and had almost forgot you were supposed to meet bambam when he appeared at your front. he was talking but you couldn't understand anything, you didn't know if it was the loud music or the drinks you had. you let your classmate know you were going to step aside with bambam, and then guided him outside the club.
"what were you doing, y/n?" he asked rather calmly when you were outside.
"i was having fun" you shrugged "i thought you weren't coming"
"i had a problem and lost my phone" he scratched his head "i'm sorry i let you thought i bailed on you"
you just shrugged and didn't say anything else.
"damn i had a whole speech prepared but then i saw you in this dress and everything went blank" he shocked his head "i was jealous when i saw you with those guys but this dress is even making me forget how to breathe"
"what are you even saying?" you chuckled.
"i was going to ask you to be mine today" he replied "i had a whole speech planned, but then i saw you with them and then i noticed your dress and now my thoughts are a mess"
you laughed "just ask, dumbass!"
"please, be mine?"
"yes" you answered as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
kim yugyeom:
yugyeom was getting worried. you two had set up a date on a nice restaurant to celebrate your one year anniversary but you were running late. very late. he tried to call you but it went straight to voice mail. he was about to leave to look for you when he saw you running inside looking for him. once you found him a smiled appeared on your face and all the worried he had disappeared.
"i'm so so so sorry, gyeom!" you said as you were taking off your coat "my battery was gone and i couldn't let you know i was stuck in traffic!"
however, yugyeom was not paying attention to any words you were saying. once you took off your coat and revealed your red dress, he was a goner. he had never seen you with that dress before and it was doing things to him. you looked so gorgeous, so so gorgeous. he couldn't believe you were real.
"yugyeom?" you called snapping him out of his thoughts "are you okay? i've been talking for a while"
"y/n...uh.. you look beautiful" he managed to say and you laughed.
"does this mean i'm forgiven?" you asked smiling and started to look through the menu.
"y/n" he called.
"yes?" you looked at him.
"i don't think i'll manage to behave through this dinner" he said.
"what do you mean?" you frowned suddenly worried.
"your dress is doing things to me" he whispered.
you started laughing really hard. yugyeom looked so flushed that it was cute.
"i'm serious, y/n" he said "let's just go to your place or mine, please"
"when i put this dress i couldn't imagine this turn out, but i kinda like it"
you two left the restaurant without eating but it was worth it when you got home.

Heat of the Campfire (M)
Pairing: Reader x Jaebum Words: 2253 Genre: Smut / Suggestive Warnings: just a lot of teasing...
While on a camping trip together with the others, the evening quickly turned into a heated teasing session with your boyfriend.
It was one of those incredibly rare weekends where all of them had spare time. JYPE gave them three free days and not even Jackson decided to use that time for going back to China. In conclusion, after months and months had passed without all of you spending some prime time together, the day had finally come. It took a while but all of you agreed on camping together. Not too far away, near Jaebum’s hometown, there were woods he knew pretty well and ensured you that going there would be the easiest and safest. And obviously, no one really doubted their leader, so with that, the destination was quickly chosen. Now, only a few days later after planning the trip, it was your first nightfall in the woods. You had arrived around midday to have enough time finding a nice spot, putting up the tents and collecting some wood to make a campfire for the night. It was summer but who knew how cold it would get during the night. Either way, all of you were kind of exhausted, because putting up the tents was not as easy as it may sound if you have an overexcited Jackson jumping around, almost screaming that he had never done this before and on the other hand Mark, who seemed like he wanted to die, finding a bug crawling near him almost every second. And in the middle of it all were you, trying to hide the fact that all you wanted within the next couple of days, was some private time with your boyfriend Jaebum. As tight as their schedule always was, getting that time alone was almost impossible. And if you had it, it mostly ended with him falling asleep to you caressing his head on your lap. Sure, that wasn’t a bad thing. Actually, you liked watching him sleep because he looked especially peaceful when you were next to him…and also spending time with all the boys together like you did now filled you with happiness…yet, you were a simple girl who had some basic needs, longing for the touch of your man for way too long already.
At that moment, however, all of you sat together around the campfire that you successfully lit, enjoying the time either by staying silent to simply appreciate the here and now or by delving into old memories. Obviously, you had made yourself comfortable next to Jaebum, leaning on his side while an arm of his was tightly wrapped around your shoulders. His fingers gently drew patterns over the fabric of your jacket so that even when he didn’t look at you, you felt like having his attention at all times. It was small details like that why you could certainly say, he was the best boyfriend you could have…if it wasn’t for the sex part sometimes. You half-heartedly listened to the conversations they had, busy with imaging all sorts of things as you had the chance to look at his beautiful profile without being disturbed. You really wanted him. A blanket laying on top of you could cover up what you were about to do. But with 6 other people around who knew Jaebum better than anybody else, the risk of being caught was still incredibly high. And probably exactly that was what ‘caused the blood buzzing in your ears as well as the feeling of your clit pulsing stronger, the more you thought about it. You had to start things off casually though. After resting your chin on his shoulders for a while you took the benefit of the doubt and softly blew some air on his neck. He did not react to it the first time, only the skin showing slight goosebumps made clear he noticed it at all. So you repeated your action, a tad stronger now which made the goosebumps show up more. He turned his head towards you, looking you directly in the eyes, not saying a word though, and just raising an eyebrow. He might have already been aware of your plan…were you that obvious? You just smiled at him innocently, acting like nothing had happened at all, so he let it go and turned his head back to the fire. You waited a few moments before scooping closer that you could place a quick peck underneath his ear, only to pinch his earlobe between your teeth for a split-second. Additional to that you slipped one hand under the blanket, putting it on his thigh. You squeezed him lightly to make sure that he noticed you. This time his head snapped into your direction much quicker. He frowned, looking like he was not enjoying this as much as you were. “I know where you want to go, (Y/N). Don’t.” he muttered in a low-voice, which was not meant to be sexy at all but it still had an effect on you. “I don’t know what you are talking about, Jaebummie.” You teased him still smiling but aware of the fact that your eyes told a completely different story. Neither of you said something now, just the eye contact remained along with nothing but a few centimeters parting your lips. You were breathing each other’s air, making your head go a little fuzzy. While his eyes actually still looked pretty normal, almost as if he was immune to any of your moves, his tongue slipped out, moistening his lips unintentionally. Getting that reaction out of him motivated you. So you ran your fingers slightly upwards, getting dangerously close to his dick – that is when he abruptly grabbed your hand, stopping you from going any further. “I said…don’t.” he threatened you, his grip tightening around your wrist. How much he hated not being in control over the situation was quite amusing. “But Jaebum…no one is looking at us.” You cooed into his ear, meanwhile tracing your fingertips along his neck. His veins were popping out from focusing so hard on not giving in to you. He did not respond. You leaned in to press your lips on his, tucking on his bottom one. He hesitated, not kissing you back at first until suddenly his tongue slipped into your mouth, hungrily swirling around yours. One hand placed in your neck, he pulled you closer. Apparently, it was at this moment that he realized just how long it had been since the last time you fucked. “Hey! You guys are not alone here!” Jinyoung snapped at you, ripping both of you out of the world you had just entered. You laughed at his words to loosen up the situation, there still was no point in denying that blood rushed not only to your cheeks in an instant but also down to your middle part. Still, there was a possibility of Jaebum being completely turned off, now that he knew the others were watching…but you were wrong. “Didn’t you say you were cold, (Y/N)?” he asked with one hand strongly settled on the side of your hips, almost pushing you onto his lap. Understanding what he actually meant by that, you played along and swung yourself onto him. Knowing that Jaebum is not the kind of guy for whom it would be enough to simply grind on his cock a few times it was what you decided to do first. Tease him a little more…who knew, maybe you could actually get him to beg for you once. Most likely not though. Your back pressed against his firm chest, his arms tightly wrapped around your upper body and his chin resting on your shoulder, that you could feel his hot breath tingling on your neck, was enough to get you back in the mood. You tugged the blanket up higher, just to be sure, and slowly started moving your bottom against his member. The motions had to be so discreet that none of the others noticed you again, yet intense enough for him to feel anything at all. You started slow, grinding on him like you usually did at home just on a slightly smaller scale, hoping that it could get him going. Every now and then you used the chance and acted like you were repositioning on his lap but in reality, merely harshen the movement for a few seconds. And it worked. Every time you used that trick, his breathing hitched or a low growl escaped his mouth right next to your ear. Surprisingly quick, you could feel his growing erection pressing against you. Before swapping positions like you had planned it out already, you decided on mocking him a few more minutes. He lifted his arms of your body to swiftly scoop under the blanket, placing his hand on your hips with a tight grip. Not only his breathing got a little shaky along with that, at one time he went so far as thrusting his hips upwards to meet your movements, pressing you down at the same time and taking control of the situation the way he loved it the most. “Fuck.” He grunted under his breath trying desperately to stay still, it was by far one of the hottest sounds you ever heard him do. You had to bite your lip to keep in the moan that stuck in your throat.
Realising how wet you had gotten yourself from all the humping and grinding on him it was about time to switch things up a bit. Loosening his grip on you by pressing against his arms, you signaled him that you wanted to position yourself differently. Now you sat sideways, your legs lying on top of his and then dropping off on the side again. This way you could first of all still stroke his now hard cock but also rest your head in the crook of his neck, pretending to doze off but actually sucking at the skin of his neck, right where his sweet spot was located. Jaebum wrapped the blanket around you completely, which only made the disguise of you falling asleep on him even better. “You are so hard for me, oppa.” You whispered into his ear seductively while starting to suck at mentioned sweet spot of his. He did an incredibly good job of staying still but you wanted to see him struggle at least a teeny tiny bit. “If only you knew.” You mewled into his ear further, in-between kissing the soft skin and trailing your tongue along it. Your hand traveled down his torso, enjoying the feeling of his muscles underneath the thin fabric until you almost reached his bulge. “If only I knew what?” he asked back with a dark voice, the one you missed the sound of for so long. “How wet I am for you.” You moaned directly into his ear, finally grabbing his dick through the pants he was wearing. He inhaled sharply but held back any other strong reaction that would expose the situation. Even though it would not change a lot if you actually got caught, you restrained from slipping your hand inside his pants completely. You started stroking his shaft all the way up and then all the way back down again, painfully slow at first. One of his hands had found the way back under the blanket again and now lay on top of yours, tightening your grip on him and determining the pace he wanted to happen. That combined with you leaving hot trails on his neck stunned him for a few seconds until… “Shit…” he gasped loudly, making everybody’s heads turn to the two of you. You initially stopped everything you were doing in order to keep them thinking you were already deep asleep. He had to get himself out of this one alone. “Are you alright, Jaebum-hyung?” Youngjae asked with an actual hint of worry in his voice. You had to keep yourself from laughing at how someone could be that innocent and not suspect a single thing. “Uhm yeah…I just forgot to bring something.” He tried lying himself out of the situation but at least some of them really didn’t seem to buy it.
“What did you forget? Condoms?” Jackson blurted out, laughing his ass off all alone. You on the opposite felt Jaebum tense up at these words. Funny enough your hand was still wrapped around his erection so all you had to do for him to relax, was move your hand all the way down his length. Feeling him twitch lightly under your touch was so hot. “At least I am getting some.” He confidently replied and made some of the others laugh or cheer for him. The next move of him actually was so much wittier than you ever expected him to be at that point. “You guys are too loud. (Y/N) wants to sleep…I’ll take her to bed now.” He pretended to caress your arm in order for you to wake up again. You blinked a few times as if your eyes were sleepy and too heavy to open up. Then you took a look around you, the smiley faces of the guys looking right at you. “You will regret all that teasing real quick, babe.” He whispered into your ear as both of you got up together and made your way back to the tent. He stopped one last time, looked back at the others and shouted Jackson’s name. “See this?” he asked and demonstratively smacked your ass when he knew not only Jackson but everyone else was looking as well. “All mine.”
