Hi 👋🏻 I don't normally write on these answer boxes, but I wanted to pop in and say thank u. I've been reading your works for a while (silent reader ~ sry!) and I appreciate ur flexibility with ur body types. Big boobs, small boobs. Tall, short. Curvy hips, petite frame. Straight hair, curly hair. As a "curvy" girl myself (or slim-thick, I guess) it's hard to find a fic that mentions this w/out that being what its centered around. So thank u ~ & keep doing what ur doing
Hello!
Thank you so much for this!
Yes - I try really hard to be flexible and open with my body types or just overall descriptions of the characters unless it relates directly to the story. I think it's really important to be inclusive.
💜💙💚

Not me lowkey gettin’ to the end of this chap thinkin Maddie and Bang Chan were about to 😘
I was almost upset cuz Maddie and Lila are too good bffs to do that to each other even for jobs.
It would be hot tho- they both seem like good kissers…
Can’t wait for more! 👀👀👀
HAHA I just answered another anon on this...
The story is complete so of course you know this didn't happen, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable writing this, I'm sorry! 😅

Omgawd I've been following your Temptation series from the beginning, and just read ur last 2 chapters - THE *!ANGST!* is real. But I have a question... If I'm following this rite, ur next 2 weeks are gonna be Chan and Hyunjin... are u gonna have Maddie help Chan so Chris doesn't slip up with Lila?? And have Lila have to help Hyunjin because they got in the big fight?? I've always wanted some couples switches with them- especially Chan and Maddie- I think that'd be kind of HAWT.
LOL Well... I'm a little late to the game answering this - but uh. No. I've had a few requests for this for some reason - to put Maddie and Chan together - but I'm never going to write this; I'm sorry.
Maddie and Lila are way too close, and Chan and Maddie have always been like brother/sister; this would be too weird and uncomfy for me 😅

It was late- much too late- and Maddie was still sitting on the living room sofa.
There was thunder rumbling in the distance, the perfect background noise for the thriller she had playing on TV, bundled beneath the blankets.
Hyunjin still wasn’t home.
Lila had left about a half an hour ago, Maddie insisting she was fine, and that her best friend should spend some time with Chan.
After all, they’d only bonded twenty-four hours ago, and she knew the younger was itching to go back to him.
Besides… Maddie was at that point in her anxiety where she wanted to be alone.
All she kept wondering is why was she still awake?
There was a flash through the window as lightning flickered in the distance, and she glanced outside for a moment, unable to see the clouds in the darkness.
“I know Hyunjin seemed like nothing but an uncaring brute,” Lila had said just an hour ago, when the sun had set and their k-drama was finally over. “But I could see the regret there… in his face. He didn’t feel good about what he was doing-”
“Either way…” Maddie had looked away from her friend, even with the small bubble of hope growing in her chest. “He still did it…”
And Lila hadn’t argued, only nodded, because it was true.
Hyunjin left to be with another girl.
And once again, Maddie was asking herself why she was waiting for him.
She sat on that couch, not moving, listening to the thunder rumbling once more, unable to follow the storyline of her movie, too wrapped up in her own thoughts.
Why was he even gone for as long as he was?
What was he doing?
Do I want to know?
No… she really didn’t.
What would she even say to him, once he got here?
She was so angry and hurt, all she could think about was yelling.
And what would that do?
Maddie ran both hands through her hair, gripping the strands, pulling her knees up and resting her chin upon them.
I should really go to bed
But then- as suddenly as she’d had the thought- there was a soft splashing in the distance, Maddie lifting her head and turning her ear towards the door because it sounded like-
Wheels.
The sound was closer now, and there was no mistaking the tires rolling across wet concrete, Maddie’s heart leaping into her throat, pounding fiercely.
Everyone was home- it couldn’t be anyone but Hyunjin- and even though she’d been sitting there in this living room waiting for him, she had no idea if she even wanted to look at him-
But she was standing up, hearing the squeaky brakes of the car as it came to a stop outside the mansion, another flash of lightning brightening the room, Maddie realizing for the first time she’d never bothered to turn on a light-
She couldn’t think straight though, a pain in her chest now, anger burning through her veins like wildfire as she stormed across the living room, heading straight for the front door-
After flinging it open, Maddie hesitated in the doorway when she saw Hyunjin.
He was leaning down, back to her, handing cash to the taxi driver through the passenger side window, blonde hair a little luminous in the dark of the night.
When he stood up and turned around, he stopped, the taxi slowly driving off behind him, Hyunjin staring at her in slight shock.
Maddie fought the frustrated tears already burning in her eyes, because ugh, her stomach was flipping already at the sight of him.
He was so devastatingly handsome, even with a dropped jaw, parted lips, and his eyes round with surprise.
She realized in that moment, this was the first time it’d been just the two of them since their fight-
She reached for the door behind her, pulling it closed so no one inside could hear, not wanting to cause more of a scene than they already had lately-
“So, how was it?”
The question slipped from her lips before she could stop it, voice sharp and carrying just as another rumble of thunder echoed in the distance.
“Maddie-”
Hyunjin’s voice was uncharacteristically soft, and he walked up the first step, Maddie shaking her head.
“No, really, how was it?” she asked again, moving away from the door, body trembling with anger. “Did you enjoy yourself? Do you feel like you proved your point?!”
There was lightning now, closer than before, a bright contrast against the soft porch light behind her.
“Maddie-”
He put his hands up as if in surrender, taking a few more stairs, but she was not interested in his excuses; in Hyunjin telling her he was an incubus and needed to feed and this was all just for mechanical sake-
Or worse, she didn’t want him to say he wasn’t sorry- just like last time- and he did what he had to do; that he was waiting on her-
“No!” she was yelling now, just as a drop of rain landed on her nose. “I- You asked me what I want from this. You asked me for this… label. And I don’t know, okay, Hyunjin? I don’t know what… this is.”
She was motioning rapidly between them, stepping down a little further, rain drops hitting her cheeks and more thunder echoing in the sky, much closer than before-
“I spent my first moments with you not wanting anything to do with me-” she snapped, close enough now to see Hyunjin swallowing hard, looking away. “Rude and mean, and then all the sudden you changed. All the sudden you did want me. You were ‘curious’, and I stupidly gave in-”
“Madd-”
“And then it was only me…” Maddie’s throat was tightening and it was sprinkling now, drawing circles upon the ground. “After that night in Seoul, it was only me. For six months…”
“I know-”
Hyunjin was shaking his head now, voice slightly urgent.
“And now we’re hanging out all the time, and I’m not just helping you feed, I’m- We’re spending time together, and I have a snow leopard on my wall that you painted for me and I just-”
Maddie wasn’t even sure what she was trying to say, taking more steps towards him without really knowing why, Hyunjin getting closer too, opening his mouth as if to say something again-
“Now you went and slept with someone else-” she was glaring at him now. “Like none of that was anything-”
“Maddie-”
“I’m sorry I was so bossy, and I’m sorry, that I’m your manager, because I know you hate it- hate having one at all- and you’re right, you could absolutely do it all without me-”
“Maddie!”
Hyunjin shouted over her, but she knew what she had to say; knew if she didn’t admit it now, when would she say it-?
“And now I know your stupid label.”
It was raining more steadily, droplets soaking into the fabric of her shirt, sliding across her skin, sinking into the messy strands of her hair-
“I like you, okay?” her voice was slightly strained. “I fucking like you. You’re annoying, and you think you know everything, and you’ve got way too much confidence, but for some stupid reason, I-”
Hyunjin was right in front of her now, the rain shiny in his hair, and seeping into the white fabric of his shirt. He was so gorgeous up close like this, Maddie felt her heart skip a beat in her chest.
“I like you.”
She spoke quietly, another rumble of thunder following her words.
Hyunjin’s eyes were darting between her own with the familiar surprise and amusement that always seemed to be there when he looked at her…
And then he was reaching up, taking her face into his hands, warm palms against her wet cheeks, and- without saying a word- swooped down and kissed her.
There were sparking tingles where his lips met hers, Maddie’s throat constricting at the feel of it, resting her cheeks more completely into his palms, eyes slipping closed, heart hammering against the walls of her chest as if trying to break free.
And then he was pulling back, leaving her slightly breathless-
“I didn’t do it.”
Hyunjin’s voice was soft, Maddie’s eyes opening once more to meet his own.
“What?”
“I didn’t… do it,” he sighed heavily. “I didn’t see anyone.”
She stood there, totally shocked by his words, a sudden warmth already expanding in her chest-
“You- you’ve been gone for hours-”
But Maddie realized the taste of his kiss was still lingering, running her tongue along her bottom lip-
“Coffee,” she whispered.
Hyunjin smiled ever so slightly, taking his hands from her face.
“I was at a cafe.”
Maddie was staring at him again, the rain coming down even harder, loud now as it slapped against the ground beneath them, Hyunjin’s hair sticking to his handsome face, eyes moving between her own again.
“You… then why did you…? You asked for a contract-”
The lump was in her throat again, but not from sadness, from relief, a wave of it washing over her as she felt tears prickling the corners of her eyes-
“I thought about it…”
Hyunjin was swallowing hard again, and she could see the regret Lila had talked about earlier; the sadness in the brown of his eyes-
“But I couldn’t do it.”
Maddie’s gaze followed a single droplet of water that slid down the side of his face, Hyunjin watching her closely, her eyes finally meeting his own once more-
“Why?”
The word was whispered- barely audible over the heavy thunder, Maddie blinking off the rain sticking to her eyelashes, Hyunjin’s shirt clinging to his shoulders as she watched him reach up, pushing his hair out of his face-
“Because-”
He took his hand from the wet strands, laughing and looking around as if he couldn’t believe he was saying this.
“Because for some stupid reason… I like you too, Maddie. A lot.”
And Maddie was laughing as well, just as disbelieving as he was, pulling on her shirt that’d now completely cemented to her skin-
“Really?”
“Yeah… really.”
He exhaled heavily, chuckling again, Maddie barely feeling the rain as she just stared at him-
“You’re obnoxious and bossy, and you also think you know everything, but…”
He reached up, tucking some hair behind her ear.
“Yes.”
And for a moment, they looked at one another, that same sense of wonder on their faces that had been there so long ago; the first time they’d ever been together.
Like they still couldn’t believe this had happened.
But then Maddie was wrapping her arms around his neck, and Hyunjin’s hand was coming down to hold her cheek, and they were kissing hard once more.
She sank into it, arms slipping against his wet skin, their lips moving together passionately, Hyunjin’s fingers gently caressing the side of her face.
Maddie could feel every nerve in her body coming to life, so much staticky air between them, as if they’d been struck by lightning.
Bringing him closer, she turned her head, kissing him deeply, amazed at the butterflies now exploding in her stomach, the giddy bubble in her chest, her heartbeat loud and fast in her ears-
And it was at that moment, she realized how in denial she’d really been.
How could Maddie have spent all this time kissing him- just like this- his fingers sliding down her neck, caressing her shoulder, other hand snaking around to her back to hold her closer- and not know?
Hyunjin’s slight hum against her lips had her breath catching in her throat, arms slipping against his neck again just as more thunder was so loud overhead, it seemed to shake the ground beneath them-
They broke for air, slick foreheads coming together as they inhaled in sync, Hyunjin speaking lowly.
“And I’m sorry,” he admitted, sounding both ashamed and a little shy, their eyes still closed. “I didn’t… I shouldn’t have asked for a contract in front of everyone like that-”
“Yeah,” she interrupted softly. “You shouldn’t have. But I also should’ve just… told you how I felt. I’m sorry, too…”
They laughed a little, Hyunjin’s nose rubbing against her own.
“Can I get your apology in writing though?” she teased, leaning forward. “Don’t think I’ll ever hear ‘I’m sorry' from you again-”
Hyunjin was chuckling once more, pushing against her back to close the distance between them before whispering against her lips.
“Shut up.”
And then they were kissing for the third time, their lips moving slowly but passionately, the rain coming down so hard now, it was saturating Maddie’s clothes, Hyunjin’s hands catching on the wet fabric of her shirt-
But in that moment, she didn’t care, only wanted him closer as always, pulled to him like a magnet, heat spreading just beneath her skin as his body pressed against her own, lighting a fire within her-
As they kissed- Hyunjin’s fingers tracing the curve of her spin, Maddie’s hands sliding up the back of his neck before tangling into the strands of his hair- the rain became a downpour, making puddles around her bare feet, the gusts of wind getting fiercer-
They broke their kiss once more, gasping for air this time, Maddie holding him close as her teeth began to shatter.
“Shit, maybe we should-”
“Yeah,” Hyunjin was nodding quickly. “It’s freezing, let’s go.”
They giggled as they pulled away, a shiver running through her body at the loss of his warmth, tripping a little as she led the way up the stairs, opening the front door quickly.
Hyunjin stepped in behind her, kicking his shoes off his feet before shutting the door behind him, Maddie standing close.
They looked at one another, and there was a sense of urgency in the air now, Hyunjin’s eyes flickering purple, Maddie’s heart leaping at the sight-
And then he was taking the one step needed to bring them together once more, his lips upon hers, Maddie not even sure who’d initiated it, only running her hands up the wet skin of his arms before gripping his shoulders-
She could feel the incubus powers now, snaking their way through her veins as Hyunjin’s hands slid down her sides, holding her hips, fingers curling a little-
The powers were hot and almost debilitating as always, Maddie caving a bit under the pressure of them, kissing him deeper, holding his shoulders hard for support-
Her nails digging into his skin like that had Hyunjin moaning lightly against her lips, turning his head, Maddie letting him take the lead as she just tried to breathe, already a little caught up-
Another wave of fire was washing through her system, so strong Maddie was inhaling sharply, the tips of Hyunjin’s fingers now slipping beneath her shirt-
“Hyunjin-”
She was totally breathless, heart pounding so hard it almost hurt, still holding him for leverage as she tried to keep her thoughts straight-
“I don’t wanna be your manager or anything-”
Hyunjin let out a strained laugh, hanging his head in the space between them.
“-but uh- hasn’t it been a while since you’ve…”
Maddie opened her eyes at the same time as him, Hyunjin grinning just slightly.
“Yeah-”
His eyes flashed bright purple, his grin going one-sided.
“I’m… kinda running low.”
And as always, Hyunjin was so inhumanly good-looking that Maddie’s stomach flipped at the sight, desire coiling tight inside her as she looked at him.
“Can I…” she was messing with the strands of hair still caught between her fingers. “...help you fix it, or-?”
“Tch-”
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, but he was still grinning as he tightened his grip on her hips, his fingers upon her bare skin sending pleasure through her veins.
“Sure, I guess,” he muttered playfully.
And before Maddie could come up with any kind of comeback, he was kissing her again, pushing lightly to start guiding her through the living room.

Chan didn’t hesitate, pressing his lips hard against hers for the third time that night, his hand snaking up her arm, moving to the back of her neck, the touch so hot, Lila was exhaling sharply.
It didn’t stop them though, only increased the rhythm of their kiss, turning his head, lips gently caressing hers, so much warmth, heat, fire pounding through Lila’s veins that she found it difficult to breathe-
Being bonded made everything stronger- the pull to him harder to resist- and she found her fingers running roughly through the strands of his hair, Chan groaning low in his throat against her lips-
“Let’s fix this,” he whispered breathlessly.
Then he was taking his palm from the back of her neck, moving his hands quite suddenly to her hips, and when his grip tightened, another gasp slipped from Lila’s lips.
Rough… felt really good.
There was something different about it- a strong surge of pleasure shooting through her- Chan dragging her across the cushions until she was far enough forward he could press gently against her shoulders, directing her to lay back.
Lila did without hesitation, Chan’s eyes bright blue again as they roamed up and down her body almost hungrily, a shiver running down her spine at the sight of it…
He climbed on top, knees on either side of her, the heat of his body radiating off of him, engulfing her, and Chan was still holding tight to her hip with one hand, the other sliding roughly up her side.
“The bonding makes this…” he hesitated, eyes flickering purple before sliding back to blue, and she saw him shudder a little. “Really intense.”
His fingers were shifting in their grip on her, and she was hissing at the shots of desire radiating from his fingertips, a knot tightening in her lower stomach, Lila lifting a little into his touch-
“Yeah,” she replied weakly, voice strained from the overwhelming amount of feeling inside her.
She felt incredibly connected, like small, infinitesimal threads were tying her to him, pulling her closer, his body calling to her-
Chan seemed to feel it, too, his fingers moving up her side stuttering a bit, slipping beneath her shirt to Lila’s back and pushing her to him.
She inhaled sharply as his hands slid down her spine to her lower back, her eyes squeezing shut, goosebumps racing across her skin at the feel of him touching such a sensitive spot, nerves already on edge.
“I almost forgot…”
At some point, Chan had lowered his body closer to her own, Lila’s heart beating in her throat, his voice directly in her ear as she tried to breathe-
“You’re sensitive there, aren’t you?”
He was teasing her- of course he hadn’t forgotten- Lila’s tiny whine making Chan chuckle, his hot breath against her skin enough to have her dying-
She wrapped her arms around his neck, threading her fingers through his hair and pulling a bit on the strands, not really thinking, just wanting more-
Chan moaned, body slipping a bit more completely on top of hers, and every nerve was sparking to life at this new position, the two of them breathing loudly together-
Lila tilted her head back just as Chan started kissing a trail down her neck, teeth coming out to nibble sharply on the skin, pulling small mewls from her throat-
“Do you like that?” he asked, biting a little harder at the junction of her neck and shoulder.
“Yes-”
She could barely get the word out, and Chan released her as his hands slipped on the cushions again, forehead resting against her shoulder.
“Holy crap,” he was shivering a little. “I can… I can feel it-”
Lila didn’t know what he meant until she was running her hands down his back, scratching harshly- maybe even too harshly- into his skin-
“Ah-”
And Chan was arching into her touch.
Suddenly she could feel it too; a blazing thrill passing through her system like a bullet, Lila’s nails still digging into his skin.
 They were actually bonded.
“Chan-”
Lila pulled her hands from his back, pushing on his shoulders, wanting so much, her brain a muddled mess with it, her thoughts spilling out before she could process it-
“-let me suck you off.”
“Shit, Lila-”
Chan was shuddering again at her words, hanging his head, voice rough-
But he seemed just as excited by the idea, lifting himself off of her, Lila standing up a little clumsily just as Chan was doing the same.
Before she could drop to her knees, tell him to sit down, or ask him anything her body was instinctually begging her to do- Chan was gripping the hem of her shirt and closing the little distance between them.
“You’ve got too many clothes on,” he muttered, already pushing up the fabric.
Lila lifted her arms, Chan pulling the shirt off and over her head and dropping it to the floor. His eyes were wandering to her chest, eyebrows lifting in slight surprise when he realized she’d skipped a bra.
But he didn’t waste any time, already pressing his lips against hers hard before his palms were sliding up her sides, so hot and desirous it was difficult for her to breathe again, her head falling back on instinct.
He was kissing down her neck quickly, nipping again at her collar bones, making Lila gasp, his hands running up to knead her breasts roughly between his fingers, thumb sliding teasingly over her nipples.
She cried out at the pleasure of it- his touch almost too much- Chan moving his mouth further down, lips caressing her skin quickly, tongue coming out to replace his thumbs-
Lila’s breaths were coming out in short gasps, the tight knot in her stomach twisting deliciously, her eyes slipping closed as she gripped uselessly at Chan’s shoulders.
He moved to her other breast with his mouth, teasing her again with his tongue, squeezing with his hands just rough enough to be exquisite, Lila moaning softly.
“You’re so sexy like this,” he breathed against her sensitized skin. “All needy-”
Chan was normally a dirty talker, but there was an edge to his voice that showed just how excited he really was, tone so wanton, another wave of heat washing over her-
He ran his hands down her sides again, taking his mouth from her and kissing a trail down her abdomen, fingers sliding into the waistband of her leggings.
Lila couldn’t think- her heart hammering in her chest, body almost like jello as Chan was gripping her hips again, almost like he was holding her up-
But then he was yanking on her leggings, pulling them down in a surprisingly smooth movement, Lila stepping out of the fabric quickly- impatiently- before Chan was running his hands up her legs.
“How about I go down on you? Ladies first, right?”
His words were soft, muttered against her skin as he kissed up her thighs, Lila unsure how long she could even stand up-
She’d completely forgotten she’d asked to suck him off in the first place.
“Chan-”
Her voice was high-pitched, nothing but his name slipping from her lips, and she heard Chan chuckle a little as one his hand hooked beneath her knee, lifting her leg.
He placed her foot upon the coffee table, effectively spreading her legs entirely, and she would’ve almost lost her balance if it weren’t for the strong grip he had on her other thigh, keeping her from toppling over.
Lila’s fingers were already threading into his hair, her body caving under the pure need for it, and the whimper that escaped her throat was all the consent Chan really needed…
She cried out as he circled his tongue very meticulously, already knowing exactly what she liked, the feeling of it so much more intense than it had ever been-
Lila was breathing heavily, gasping for air, the feel of his perfect lips upon her like that enough to have her already racing towards the edge, yanking harshly on the strands of his hair.
“Chan, shit-”
She was whining, begging him to stop, the pressure almost more than she could handle, his fingers holding tight to her thighs to keep them apart, Lila’s hips moving against him-
But Chan was enjoying this as much as she was, moaning against her, the vibrations of it making her cry out again, other hand gripping his shoulder to keep from falling over-
“Please-”
She was getting completely lost in it, her brain a puddle of melted bliss, Chan’s fingers gripping her hard enough to bruise, Lila rocking into him, the heat and pleasure of his mouth almost more than she could take-
Then Chan was increasing his rhythm, his pressure, his everything to make it so much better that Lila couldn’t keep track of it all, her head falling back as she whined again, holding him tighter, not wanting him to stop anymore, only to keep going, the fire in her veins burning her in the best of ways-
And just like that, Lila was tumbling head first over the edge, crying out so loudly she was pressing her lips together to quiet it, Chan groaning again as he worked her through it, fingers stuttering against her skin-
Lila pushed him away gently, trying to gather her breath- think straight- and then she was opening her eyes to look at him, spotting her reflection in the mirror once more-
Her eyes were bright blue again.
Chan was looking up at her, and she pulled on his hair a bit, watching his eyelids flutter.
“I think it’s my turn now.”
Her voice was raspy and the words were corny, but Chan was looking at her with such passion, it was hard for her to notice anything else.
The man stood up rather quickly, pulling his shirt off and throwing it to the ground, like he wanted it out of the way, Lila not even remotely complaining-
Then he was sitting on the couch, Lila dropping to her knees without preamble, scooting towards him, Chan watching her every move.
Her fingers were shaking as she made quick work of the button and zipper on his pants, pulling his dick free and immediately wrapping her hand around the base, stroking up and down.
Chan groaned, back sinking more completely into the cushions, and Lila felt that same, bizarre shudder run through her own body, making her eyelids flutter-
She leaned forward, parting her lips and taking just the tip of him into her mouth, tongue circling around the rim of his head, Chan’s fingers threading instantly through his hair.
“Ah, God, Lila-” he breathed, head falling back, eyes squeezing shut. “Yes-”
She’d barely done anything, and yet she could feel how good that was for him, her eyes closing completely now, taking more of him into her mouth, wanting to please him.
Her tongue ran languidly along the length of him as she lowered her head, taking more and more into her mouth, feeling wave after wave of desire coursing hot and fast through her veins.
“Shit.”
Chan was holding her hair so hard it was yanking on her, but the rush of that felt so good, and she mewled just a little, hearing the man’s breath hitch above her.
She started off slow, wanting to taste him a bit, Chan groaning low in his throat, holding her hair and directing her up and down, hips already lifting up into it-
“Ah, Lila, that feels so good,” his words were almost slurred, drunk off the pleasure of it, more heat burning beneath her skin.
She increased the rhythm, her tongue swiping across his slit as he hissed loudly, hips lifting into her mouth again.
“Ohmygod,” he breathed, holding her tight, voice a little edgy. “Fuck, I don’t- You’ve gotta stop-”
Lila could feel it, the prickling sparks in her veins telling her Chan was already getting close to finishing, and she pulled off with a quiet pop.
He already looked a bit wrecked, bare upper body shiny with sweat, eyes fluttering open, flickering between purple and blue as he looked at her, expression so amazed, like she wasn’t real-
“Come here.”
He stood up from the couch, holding out his hand to help her up, and as soon as she was standing, Chan turned her around, pulling her back against his front.
Leaving hurried, almost uncoordinated kisses down her neck, Lila tilted her head back with a sigh, Chan’s palms caressing her sides before holding her waist, guiding her forward.
Lila was only confused for a second when her legs hit the end of the couch, realizing what he wanted as soon as he was pushing against her back.
She climbed onto the cushions on her knees, gripping the back of the couch with her hands, back arched naturally as Chan stepped closer behind her, running his hand up her body appreciatively.
“Wow, you look good like this,” she heard him mumble, Lila’s head hanging down the second his hands were sliding between her legs, spreading them again.
She could feel him lining himself up, the burning tension of it almost more than she could bear, Lila’s bottom lip lodged between her teeth.
Then, Chan was thrusting forward in one fluid motion, the feel of it so perfect that they moaned together, Lila’s fingers curling into the edge of the couch.
“Oh-”
His hands were back on her hips, holding her tight, bringing her to him as he set a fast, desperate kind of rhythm, the roughness good for her, too, another knot already forming in Lila’s stomach-
“Holy shit-” Chan sounded like he could barely breathe, guiding her onto him while moving his own hips, the force of it sending Lila’s heart rate through the roof. “You feel- Ah- You feel perfect-”
Lila whined loudly, moving into his rhythm because holy hell he felt perfect too, a deep burning within her she’d never experienced before, the pressure of this new arousal almost too much again-
“Does it feel good?” he was asking, fingers squeezing her hips, other hand tracing the sensitive curve of her back, Lila shuddering with a gasp. “I know it does-”
She knew he could feel how amazing this was for her like she could feel it for him, thrumming through her system, a fiery buzz, and Lila was nodding weakly, barely able to speak.
“Yes,” she answered. “Yeah, Chan, it’s-”
But she couldn’t think of a word good enough, the man moving faster, her body melting even more with this new angle, a high-pitched moan ripping from her throat as she held tightly to the couch-
“I fucking love you,” he said, voice rough but so full of feeling as he moved. “I love you so much, Lila-”
And past the arousal, the burn, the pleasure, Lila could feel a much deeper warmth in her core, chest bursting with emotion and love and desire all at once, her eyes tingling, Lila knowing they were blue-
“I love you too,” she said breathlessly. “So much-”
She couldn’t say everything she was thinking; that this was so incredible, that she’d never been this connected to anyone else, and she didn’t think she ever would be.
Lila couldn’t tell him everything she loved about him and how happy she was to be bonded to him, no matter how scary it had been.
She couldn’t do much at all, besides cry out again as Chan moved even faster, seeming encouraged by her words, hands moving past her hips and to her front, slipping in between her legs, fingers curling in to draw perfect, circular patterns with the rhythm of their hips-
Lila whimpered loudly, gasping at the feel of that combined with everything else, Chan’s groan echoing in the small studio as he moved even harder.
“Fuck-”
His hips were uncoordinated, Lila moving with him to keep the pace, and they both moaned at that, Chan’s fingers still moving, Lila’s skin hot and flushed-
And then Chan was letting out a loud, guttural groan, holding her so harshly, Lila was gasping at the painful pleasure of it as the man worked his way through his orgasm.
His small breathy sounds and muttered words as he moved sent Lila falling over the edge for the second time that night, stars popping behind her eyelids now, her head falling against the wall as she moaned.
They moved together for a moment before Chan was stopping, his hand sliding upwards to hold her middle, Lila’s body slumping a bit with pure exhaustion and contentment.
After another moment of them both trying to catch their breaths, Chan was pulling away, Lila whining a little at the loss. But the man was laying across the couch just as she was standing up straight, beckoning her to come to him, and she did so without hesitation, body curling perfectly into his own.
They laid there in silence at first, Lila listening to the beat of Chan’s heart as her head rested upon his chest, his hand sliding absentmindedly up and down her arm.
She laid there in the absolute perfection of their bodies wrapped together like this, the warmth of him sinking deep beneath her skin, eyes sliding closed as she hummed softly.
“That was incredible,” Chan said quietly, breaking the silence, sounding both shocked and amazed by everything.
“Yeah,” she whispered. “It really was…”
Silence fell amongst them again as she thought of everything that had just transpired in the last hour or so.
They were bonded…
She and Chan were completely bonded.
They’d said I love you and things were different now, but still very much the same, Lila still happiest when she was with him, Chan still holding her like she was the most important person in the world to him…
Supernaturally tied together, they were about to start a whole new chapter in their relationship.
“Wait…”
Lila’s voice was soft and a little weak, but she’d just thought of something, lifting her cheek from his chest to look up at him.
Chan glanced down, his dark eyes shifting to blue for only a second before sliding back to their usual brown.
“If we’re bonded, does that mean Maddie has to be emergency back-up for all the rest of the guys?”
Lila wasn’t sure how the rules of bonding worked and if she could even help anyone else now- that was something they’d have to talk about later- but Chan was chuckling a little, looking slightly surprised.
“Uh… yeah,” he admitted, with a small grin. “Yeah it does. We might need a third manager.”
Lila giggled, too content to worry about that at this exact moment, snuggling back into Chan as her eyes slipped closed once more.
“Yeah…”
Her words were barely louder than a whisper, Chan’s fingers still sliding up and down her arm in a rhythmic motion.
“We just might.”

“Okay guys, let’s just move into the lobby, try not to be too loud-”
Maddie was directing everyone off the airport shuttle and towards the hotel, Lila fixing the backpack on her shoulder as she headed towards the front doors with the guys.
“Wait what? Changbin, I thought we checked your bag and you had it-”
Lila stopped, turning back and watching Maddie climb into the bus once more, Hyunjin glancing over his shoulder at her and pausing, too.
There was some mumbled talking neither of them could make out, but then Maddie was popping out of the bus again, looking irritated.
“-told you it was the side pocket. That’s the best place for the charger, so you can see it-”
Hyunjin chuckled under his breath, walking away before Maddie could see him, and Lila watched a disgruntled Changbin getting off the bus behind the girl.
“The mesh of the pocket makes it hard to see.”
And Maddie groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose before laughing.
“Changbin, you’re just…”
“Awesome?”
The man was grinning, pulling the large duffle bag further up his shoulder, and she turned to him, sighing dramatically.
“Sure, yeah. Awesome.”
And that’s how Lila knew Maddie was tired.
Everyone had rushed to the airport earlier that evening, security taking longer than either of them had expected, causing them to rush to the gate.
It’d been a whirlwind of finding seats, packing away carry-ons, checking passports, and getting settled before they were in the air, flying to Japan.
When they’d landed, they immediately had to get their bags and head to the shuttle that would take them to the hotel, Maddie arranging a late night check-in to avoid any fan traffic.
Lila felt bad she wasn’t a little more involved at the moment, her mind in a haze as she moved into the hotel lobby with the guys, Maddie hanging back and thanking the bus driver before catching up.
She knew Maddie didn’t mind- the girl was usually the take charge one in their friendship anyway- but Lila still felt guilty, and also a bit disconnected from reality…
It had been about six hours since her conversation with Chan.
Glancing over at the man, she saw him holding the handle of his suitcase, fingers opening and closing around it like a nervous habit, other hand holding his phone to his ear as he spoke to someone on the other end.
Things had been so busy, that once Lila had left the studio, she hadn’t been able to talk to him since, not even sure what she could say right now.
And Chan was avoiding her a little, she could tell.
Normally, he’d be standing beside her, making small jokes under his breath or just pushing his shoulder up against hers in subtle affection. He’d offer to carry her bag or ask her what she did on the flight, and if she’s excited for tomorrow. And he would probably whisper in her ear that she should stay in his room tonight, making her blush, Chan amused by her red cheeks as Lila quickly tried to hide them-
But right now, there was nothing.
He’d been on the phone off and on or pre-occupying himself with headphones in his ears. He’d been keeping his distance a bit, eyes only flicking to her on accident it seemed, the man always quickly looking away, a small pinch between his eyebrows.
Lila could tell he was stressed; their entire conversation hadn’t gotten them anywhere, except now Chan knew she knew.
She figured at some point, she’d have to pull him aside again and tell him all the things she hadn’t managed to say before.
That this was okay, and they could work this out.
But he’d already told her he couldn’t talk about this, and it’d been clear to her that maybe he just needed some more time…
So Lila would give him that.
“You know, I was thinkin’-”
Han sat back on one of the lobby armchairs, an impish grin on his face as he spoke to Changbin.
“-now that I’m single, maybe I should find some hot girls to hit up while we’re all here.”
“Tch-”
Changbin looked up from his phone, rolling his eyes.
“-alright, dude.”
Lila laughed a little despite her distress, shaking her head.
Eunae had stayed on the team as a makeup artist for only four days after she and Han had broken up before she’d quit the job quite suddenly, and- if they were being honest- Maddie and Lila were relieved.
Neither one of them were too happy with the girl after she’d intentionally used Han.
But the man seemed to be completely over it now, back to his usual, cocky self, not bothered by Changbin’s obvious annoyance, still grinning, laughing a little himself.
Lila wasn’t sure if Maddie’s “therapy” had helped, but Han seemed a lot better.
She could see her best friend at the front counter now, two backpacks and a suitcase on the floor surrounding her.
Jeongin was handing the older a water bottle, and she took it gratefully, looking a little shy, the man nodding at something she said before walking away.
Lila smiled- Maddie had forgotten her water and mentioned a couple times on the bus that she was thirsty and would be getting something the second they got to the hotel.
Jeongin must’ve gone to the vending machines when no one was watching to get her one, and Lila couldn’t get over how sweet that was.
She watched the man move towards the rest of the group, settling into a seat beside Han, and Maddie was now speaking to the hotel worker behind the counter, checking everyone in.
That was always the older’s role- paperwork, planning, appointments- while Lila kept an eye on everyone, double checking if anyone needed anything before they moved to the next task.
So, while Maddie checked them in, Lila glanced around, trying to keep her mind off Chan, who was now standing a little off to the side, texting on his phone.
“I made these oatmeal protein bombs…”
Felix was talking with Changbin, Han and Jeongin, and he reached into his bag, pulling out a square, tupperware container.
“They’re peanut butter chocolate, and I thought they might be good before we have our performance tomorrow.”
“Oh,” Changbin’s eyes lit up, watching Felix lift the lid. “Can we try one?”
Felix laughed affectionately, reaching into the container and taking out one of the treats, plopping it right in Changbin’s mouth.
They all three watched as he chewed, the man’s eyes lighting up before he was giving an enthusiastic thumbs up.
“Can I try one, too?” Han asked quickly, turning to Felix.
Lila smiled, looking away to the other sofa where Minho, Seungmin, and Hyunjin were all sitting together, sharing an Iced Americano between the three of them. Every once in a while, Lila saw Hyunjin glance in Maddie’s direction before quickly looking away, and that made her smile, too.
Hyunjin was getting worse and worse at hiding things.
She glanced at Maddie as well, and it looked like the girl was finishing up, taking a pile of keycards from the woman behind the counter and smiling with a nod.
“Alright guys!” she exclaimed, maybe a little too loudly, Lila giggling a little as Maddie held up the keys. “We’ve got rooms, let’s go!”
They all got up together, congregating around Maddie as she handed out the keys, and Lila quickly followed suit, catching up with the rest of them.
“A jacuzzi?” she heard Maddie saying as she approached. “Uh- Oh yeah, there is one with a jacuzzi- room 104… What the-?”
Minho swiped key number 104 from the older’s hands, grinning at her.
“Thanks.”
He walked away, some of the other guys walking with him, keys already in hand, dragging their luggage and heading towards the elevators.
Lila did a headcount again before turning to Maddie.
“We’re good?”
“Yep-” the girl beamed, tucking some papers into her leggings pocket and bending down for her bags. “Everyone’s got a key, now we just gotta head upstairs.”
“Thanks bestie!”
Lila waved before catching up to Minho, Felix, Changbin and Jeongin all heading towards the elevators. She could see Maddie still gathering her things, Han, Chan, Seungmin and Hyunjin still tucking their keys into their pockets.
“You guys have everything you need?” Lila asked her group.
“Yes!” they all said in unison, Felix moving to stand next to her.
“Lila, did you try my oatmeal protein bombs, yet?” he was already reaching into his bag to pull out the container. “They’re peanut butter chocolate.”
“I heard you talking about them,” she replied with a smile- Felix was so cute. “Can I try one now?”
“Of course-”
He seemed delighted by the idea, pulling out his tupperware and quickly prying off the lid. He handed her a treat and she ate it quickly, understanding why Changbin had been so enthusiastic when he’d tried his.
They were delicious.
“These are yummy!”
“Thank you,” Felix’s ears went slightly pink, but he didn’t look as shy as he normally did by any sort of compliment. “I found the recipe last week.”
“Felix, give me another one-”
Changbin interrupted, scooting forward with a playful grin.
“Please?”
Lila laughed, glancing back at the other half of the group. Chan was pulling his suitcase and catching up, eyes darting to hers for a moment before he was looking away, pressing his lips together.
Her stomach jolted nervously, Lila quickly turning away as well, watching Han beg Seungmin for a drink of his Americano while Hyunjin lingered behind, typing something on his phone.
Maddie was struggling a bit; she had two backpacks-one with serums and one with her own stuff- as well as a suitcase. She was trying to put one backpack on each arm while also holding the handle of her suitcase, but they kept slipping.
Lila felt bad- she didn’t realize the girl had so much- just about to go over there and help when Hyunjin looked up from his phone, glancing at her.
Then he walked over without saying a word, taking one of the backpacks that’d just fallen to the floor and slinging it onto his shoulder with his other one, walking towards the rest of the group.
Lila saw Maddie watching him- dumbfounded- her eyes darting up and down his body before she was quickly adjusting her things, running to catch up.
“Okay, sorry-”
She smiled guiltily at everyone before slapping the up button on the elevators.
“Let’s get to our rooms, shall we?”
For the next few minutes, everyone was talking over one another as they piled into two elevators, stopping at level three and quickly getting off, splitting up and heading to their rooms.
Maddie and Lila’s room was towards the end of the hallway, and Hyunjin was walking with them, stopping outside their door and dropping the backpack from his shoulder.
“There’s your bag.”
He was grinning at Maddie- almost like he was teasing her about not being able to carry it herself- and she chuckled in slight disbelief, raising her eyebrows.
“Well thank you,” she said dramatically. “How chivalrous.”
Hyunjin laughed loudly, turning around before anyone could say anything else and walking back towards his room.
Maddie watched him go, still smiling a little, and after a moment, Lila couldn’t help but giggle, plucking their keycard from the girl’s limp fingers.
“I’ll just get the door, Miss My Feelings for Hyunjin are non-existent-”
“Hey!”
They giggled as the door unlocked, both of them moving quickly inside and throwing their luggage on the bed.
Sighing together, Maddie looked at Lila, searching the features of her face.
“So… tell me how it went with Channie.”
When they’d been waiting at the airport, Lila had just enough time to tell Maddie she’d talked to Chan. She hadn’t been able to say anything else, the girls becoming too busy and all the guys too nearby, Lila not wanting them to overhear anything.
But Maddie must’ve noticed how much it was bothering her- she always did- seeming concerned as she looked at Lila.
“Well… it… didn’t go quite the way I wanted it to…”
She told Maddie everything, tripping over her words a bit. Her insides twisted all over again with the anxiety of the situation, especially when her best friend’s eyes grew wide with concern, chewing on her bottom lip…
“Basically at the end, Chan told me he couldn’t talk about it right then,” Lila finished with a sigh. “He had to take a phone call from those studio guys and I just… left.”
Maddie was contemplating this information, Lila could see it on her face, eyebrows furrowed.
“And his eyes kept turning all blue and stuff when you guys were talking?” she asked. “And he kissed you, too?”
“Yeah…” Lila replied.
“I don’t know…” Maddie hesitated. “When I talked to Han, he told me there’s this weird urge inside of them, the stronger their feelings get. That’s why it’s so dangerous for them to fall in love because it’s almost like they can’t… control it.”
“I mean… no one can control their feelings, right?”
“Right, but… for an incubus, it’s like I was saying; if he says it- even accidentally- it can bond you two together. And because of the strong urge inside of him, it might be harder and harder for him not to say it, especially with it being so blatantly brought up…”
Lila thought about Chan’s reaction to their conversation; the way his eyes were constantly flickering between blue and brown, the way he’d kissed her so passionately, contradicting his attempts to pull away-
“I think Chan is scared,” Maddie said with a frown. “He doesn’t want to just do something like that, especially because he’s not just worried about himself; he’s worried about you, too. Bonding you guys and making you pretty much responsible for him like that.”
And Lila knew this was true; Chan would be worried about that, probably more than anything else.
Her heart warmed even despite all the stress.
“So… yeah,” her best friend shrugged a little. “I know it was hard, but I still think you did the right thing, bestie. Telling him you know was the biggest step towards you guys figuring out a plan from here. I think Chan just… needs to accept what’s happening.”
“Yeah, I think you’re right,” Lila agreed with a small nod. “He still seems pretty conflicted.”
She knew now it was probably best for Chan to come to her; if Maddie was right and he was fighting against his own instincts, he would need to talk to her when he was ready now.
And despite the stress, Lila felt a little better; it was a good thing she’d told him what she knew.
There was a sudden knock on the door, making both girls jump before Lila was looking at the time.
10:00pm
“Did one of the guys leave for feeding?” Maddie asked, her eyebrows furrowing. “I don’t remember them saying anything.”
“I don’t know…”
Lila was closest to the door and she walked to it, peering through the peephole, surprised to see Minho on the other side.
“It’s Minho,” she told Maddie.
Then she was twisting the knob and opening the door, Minho looking up from the Cosmic Brownie he was eating, giving her a small smile.
“Hello.”
“Hi…” she laughed; his nonchalance always caught her off-guard sometimes.
“Could you possibly come to my room in about an hour?”
Lila raised an eyebrow.
“You mean, like…”
“For feeding? Yes,” Minho nodded, breaking off a piece of his brownie and handing it to her.
She took it as he kept talking.
“We’ve got those rehearsals in the morning and a performance right afterward, so I thought I’d see someone tonight,” he explained as Lila ate her bite. “But no one seems to be available like I thought they’d be.”
Lila was about to ask why he didn’t just feed earlier today like the rest of the guys, but Minho went on before she could.
“Emi is with family three hours away,” he was counting on his fingers. “Naomi is on spring break, and went on a trip; she won’t be back until next week. Ren has a boyfriend now, and Mei isn’t answering me at all…”
He trailed off, putting the rest of the brownie in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully.
“Might be because I haven’t texted her since we were here last year…”
Lila snorted.
“Yeah, that might’ve pissed her off…”
But Minho just shrugged.
“We had nothing to talk about.”
Then he was smiling at her again.
“Anyway… I was going to find someone tomorrow, but you know we’re booked all day.”
Lila nodded, pressing her lips together; tomorrow’s schedule was jam-packed.
There was a twinge of guilt in her stomach for some reason; maybe it just felt wrong to be having such serious conversations with Chan and his feelings for her, only to be having a discussion with Minho about meeting him in his hotel room…
But she knew this wasn’t like that; it was about feeding.
This was something Minho hadn’t foreseen- having no girl answer him back- and there was no way the man would make it through tomorrow without some kind of energy.
Lila was an emergency back-up and this was her job.
“Is that okay?”
She saw a flicker of caring on Minho’s features as he searched her face.
“Of course,” she found herself saying, nodding once. “That’s what I’m here for.”
His smile went soft, and he tilted his head a little.
“I’ve got tea. Earl Grey, right?”
Lila laughed a little, surprised he’d even remembered that.
“Yeah-”
“Great,” he crinkled the brownie wrapper in his hand, grinning at her one last time. “See you in an hour.”
 “Yeah, see you…”
And without a backwards glance, Minho was walking to his room, Lila watching him go.

✨Welcome back to another season of Temptation!✨
(Read Season One first HERE)
📚Season Two is filled with much more plotty, angsty goodness and I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed writing it!📚
Maddie walked quickly down the familiar upstairs hallway of their mansion, passing each incubus room and reaching up to flatten her hair.
As if it mattered.
She laughed at herself, taking her fingers from the strands as she walked by door after door, knowing exactly which room she was looking for-
It had been a crazy week- all weeks were crazy nowadays, as a manager of Stray Kids- but she’d been running around morning until night, trying to get them ready for their comeback, keeping their feeding on track, following the schedules, and most of all- keeping everyone sane.
She’d taken one look at next week’s schedule- filled with promotions, stages, and interviews- and knew it was going to be just as busy.
So Maddie was glad to be getting a bit of stress relief.
Her stomach flipped excitedly at the thought, and even as she rolled her eyes at such a stupid reaction, she was smiling…
Stopping in front of the second to last door, she paused before knocking three times.
Almost instantly, the knob was twisting and the door was thrown open.
Blonde hair- when had Maddie ever liked that before now?- hanging long and a little in his face, eyes flickering purple, a playful smirk pulling on the corners of his beautiful lips.
Hyunjin
Maddie barely had time to look at him before he was grabbing her wrist, pulling her quickly inside.
“Finally.”
She giggled, stumbling with the quickness of his movements before her back was against the wall, Hyunjin smiling a little as the door shut behind him.
Then he was swooping down, kissing her hard, and Maddie’s arms were wrapping around his neck, the feel of it indescribable.
She was still getting used to the incubus powers- the way Hyunjin’s fingers would slide up the length of her arms, and her skin was suddenly alive, burning in the best of ways, heart racing in her chest, desire running through her veins as she held him closer-
Hyunjin pulled his lips from hers, and Maddie’s head was falling back, finding it a little hard to breathe as he kissed down her neck.
“You took way too long to come up here,” he muttered near her ear, nose tickling her skin. “I almost went and called someone else.”
Maddie wouldn’t have cared- right?- and she laughed, her voice a little strained as Hyunjin’s hands slid slowly down her sides.
“Yeah? You should have. I’m getting tired of this.”
“Tch-”
Hyunjin’s humored exhale had hot breath ghosting across Maddie’s neck, and the feeling of it was a little more than she could handle, a small gasp slipping from her lips, arms tightening just slightly around him.
And even though she couldn’t see him, she knew he was smirking, speaking against her skin again as his fingers fiddled with the hem of her shirt.
“No you’re not.”
Ugh, Maddie hated him, trying to keep her head on straight as she felt his palms sliding up and under her shirt, the feel of his skin on hers like fire-
“Don’t get cocky-” she managed, her own fingers now running down the length of his neck, caressing his shoulders through his thin white t-shirt, just wanting to touch him. “I could go at anytime-”
“You won’t.”
And before she could come up with any sort of response, Hyunjin was kissing her again, turning his head to deepen it, Maddie’s hands sliding up and into his hair, gripping the strands.
He hummed against her lips, her heart skipping a beat in her chest at the noise, Hyunjin’s fingers still running along the bare skin of her sides-
Maddie wasn’t sure why this had started happening.
She just knew on that night six months ago- when Hyunjin had come to her hotel room unannounced, telling her how curious he was about her- that she thought it would be the first and last time they would ever hook up.
That no matter how good it was, she and Hyunjin had always been at odds, and amazing sex wasn’t going to change anything.
Except- well, it had.
Suddenly, Hyunjin was calling her when he needed to feed- when he needed to unwind and gain some energy back after working so hard.
Apparently, Maddie was too weak to deny him, even though she always had a choice. She showed up at his hotel room, his door at the mansion, the bathroom when they snuck a shower together, the library when she knew Lila wouldn’t need it, and the kitchen when they were home alone-
She’d needed some stress relief herself- taking care of eight famous kpop idols was no easy feat- and every time she was with Hyunjin…
Well, somehow he always made it just a little better.
God, what has my life become
It wasn’t like Hyunjin had gotten less annoying- if anything, this knowledge that he affected Maddie so completely made him more full of himself. He was still stubborn, still a bit of a know-it-all, still had a comeback for everything, even if it was just one of those stupid, handsome one-sided smiles he so often had-
Yes, Maddie really had no idea why this had started happening.
But she knew it’d been six months; six months of her there for every feeding, never receiving a contract from Hyunjin, telling her she was the only one he was hooking up with.
Six months of her knowing this and trying to ignore the weird, twisted knot of happiness inside her at this fact.
Six months of them calling on one another for an escape, not talking about it, just going with it, and Maddie letting it happen.
Because- for some reason- she couldn’t say no.
Again, they broke for air, Hyunjin exhaling harshly against her lips as she moved her hands to the front of his shirt, palms sliding beneath it, feeling the slight muscle there, skin smooth-
“Did you have a crazy week, too?” she asked as she kissed a line down his jaw, Hyunjin sighing and tilting his head back, welcoming it-
“You were there,” he teased, his voice annoyingly steady as she rolled her eyes.
Maddie laughed despite herself, shoving against his stomach- Hyunjin not even budging- and shaking her head.
“I just meant did anything else happen. I’m not with you all the time you know.”
“Thank God.”
He was still teasing her, but his laugh caught in his throat for a second when Maddie scratched her nails up his chest, knowing he liked that and wanting to get back at him-
“I regret asking-”
“Okay, okay-“
Hyunjin tilted his head forward, forcing Maddie to pull back and look at him.
It still shocked her really, how good-looking he was, especially up close like this, grinning a little as his eyes flickered purple again.
“Ladies first; why are you here, Maddie?”
She still hated the way Hyunjin said her name- voice a little like silk and so totally inhuman, a hot thrill shooting down her spine at the sound of it-
“Well, I-”
His hands were slipping further up her shirt, Hyunjin leaning forward to press a small kiss near her ear before moving down her neck again-
“I looked at the schedule for next week and it’s gonna be nuts-”
Her voice was a little strained, head knocking against the wall.
“It’s always nuts,” Hyunjin murmured. “We’ll be fine-”
“-and last night, Seungmin’s girl showed up at our hotel in Busan instead of the mansion because I messed up the days and gave her the wrong location-”
Hyunjin snorted quietly, and she giggled, throat a little tight at the feel of his breath against her skin again-
“Shut up, it was embarrassing-”
“I didn’t say anything-”
“And then Changbin ruined my plans on Wednesday-”
“When does he not?”
They both laughed, Maddie choking on air as Hyunjin kissed across her shoulders, slowly slipping the strap of her tank top off to the side-
“-because I was supposed to go mini golfing with Jeongin-”
Hyunjin’s hands stuttered against her skin, and he lifted slightly before speaking.
“You were gonna go mini-golfing with Jeongin?”
If Maddie was a little more coherent, she may have raised her eyebrows at him, asking why this was surprising; she and Jeongin had been hanging out quite frequently.
But he was already pushing her shirt up her stomach, fingers gripping her sides more firmly, and she was threading her fingers through his hair again, needing something to hold onto-
“I- yeah, he asked me-” she managed, arching slightly into his touch. “-and I had to miss it because- because Changbin scheduled a feeding he needed me to drive him to on the same night-”
Hyunjin laughed again, and the heat of it against her collarbones had Maddie pressing her lips together, pulling accidentally on his hair.
But he liked it, moaning, hands sliding to the arch in her back, pushing her closer; he was a little needy, honestly-
“Wait a minute-”
Something in Maddie’s brain clicked back into place, suddenly remembering-
“You. You’re the reason I’m here.”
Hyunjin chuckled, pulling back to look at her, a playful smile on his face as her fingers slipped from his hair.
“Finally, you admit it-”
“Pft-” she smacked him on the arm, Hyunjin laughing louder, his eyes nearly disappearing.
She loved it when he smiled like that.
“You called me here.”
Hyunjin’s eyes darted from hers, still smiling.
“I mean… I’m an incubus, remember?”
How could I forget? She wanted to ask, eyes darting up and down his figure; his perfect face, his infuriatingly beautiful hands still touching her skin-
“Yeah, but- normally you don’t call me like this last minute unless something’s going on-”
It was true; while she and Hyunjin had been hooking up on the regular for a while, she only received text messages like this- middle of the night booty calls- when Hyunjin was stressed, too.
For the first time, she noticed the thin line of sweat on his forehead, the obvious square of his airpods case in the pocket of his sweatpants, the Nikes in the corner she knew he used often for practice-
“You’ve been dancing.”
It wasn’t a question, and Hyunjin glanced at the shoes before shrugging a little.
“Yeah-”
“And something went wrong.”
Maddie already knew; this wouldn’t be the first time.
“Not wrong-” he grinned, pushing a strand of hair out of his face. “I just… I couldn’t get this particular move down…”
And while his tone was nonchalant, he was fidgeting with his shirt a little, looking around the room again.
Maddie sighed; Hyunjin was such a perfectionist.
“I’m sure you were fine.”
“I wasn’t, actually.”
He was annoyed, she could tell- a pinch between his eyebrows as he turned back to her- and she sighed again.
“I just mean you perfect anything you put your mind to,” she explained, reaching up to fix his hair again. “And everyone has their off days… Sometimes that day just isn’t the day they’re gonna get something right.”
Hyunjin didn’t interrupt for once, his gaze meeting hers.
“But that doesn’t mean you’re not gonna get it down,” she continued. “You will and you’ll be awesome, I promise.”
Maddie had complete confidence in him; Hyunjin was one of the best dancers she knew.
The pinch between his eyebrows disappeared a little and his features softened.
“Thanks, Maddie.”
There was an odd stutter in her chest at the way he was looking at her; a giddy sort of tightening that had her glancing away for a moment, tucking some hair behind her ear.
“Yeah, no problem-”
She didn’t have time to say anything else before he was kissing her again, hands back on her skin, the suddenness of it sending her heart rate through the roof as heat rushed through her veins once more-
“Can I get it in writing that I perfect everything I do?” he whispered teasingly against her lips.
Maddie laughed, her breath leaving her lungs in a rush as his hands slid to her back once more, pulling her body flush against his.
“Shut up,” she whispered.
And then her fingers were tangling into his hair, wanting him closer, Hyunjin moving his lips against hers once more.

Maddie let go of Hyunjin’s shoulders to wrap around his neck, fingers tangling into the strands of his hair as she tried to keep her balance walking backward.
His hands were sending so much incubus goodness through her, Maddie was tripping over her own feet, shuddering a bit at the feel of it.
They turned their heads, deepening the kiss, Hyunjin’s breath hitching against her lips as he guided her a little bit faster, Maddie turned on by his eagerness-
But then her back collided with something and she was jumping in surprise, pulling her mouth from his and looking over her shoulder.
“Shit, you’re stupid easel,” she muttered, rubbing the small of her back; that kind of hurt.
Hyunjin laughed softly, shifting her out of the way and pushing her backward again, leaning close.
“You’re lucky there was nothing on there,” he muttered teasingly.
Maddie grinned, fingers fiddling with the hair carded between her fingers.
“Or what?” she whispered.
But Hyunjin didn’t reply, only chuckled before kissing her once more, sending a thrill through Maddie’s entire body.
They were turning their heads again, Hyunjin letting go of her hips to slide beneath her shirt, and the feel of his hands upon her bare skin like that had her heart pounding in her chest.
She let go of his damp hair, instead running her hands along his shoulders, feeling the thin, wet fabric there from the rain, hands trailing down the length of his arms, fingers rising and falling with the muscle beneath the sleeves-
Everything was hot- stifling really- Maddie setting the rhythm of the kiss, Hyunjin falling into it, lips caressing her own, his hands snaking further up her shirt, across her back, leaving so much sparking fire everywhere she couldn’t think straight.
They were halfway through the living room, heading to Maddie’s bedroom, and her hands were sliding down his torso, stopping at the hem of his shirt. She wanted to lift it off and over his head, wanting Hyunjin to do the same to her so they could kiss just like this, but skin on skin, Maddie suddenly craving the suffocating burn that always came with that-
But she knew better than to leave a trail of clothes across the living room for everyone in the house to see.
Maddie would literally hear about it for the rest of her life from some of the guys.
So she refrained, sliding her tongue along Hyunjin’s bottom lip, the man parting his lips with a small inhale, Maddie’s eyes fluttering at the sound of that before they were tasting one another, almost taking her breath away all over again-
Turning down the hallway to her bedroom, Hyunjin was scratching up her sides, nails feeling wonderful against her sensitized skin, making her gasp.
He smiled against her lips, Maddie’s hands slipping beneath his shirt just as her back was hitting her bedroom door, pushing it open.
The slick, smooth skin beneath her palms was so heated, Maddie caressing the slight muscle there as Hyunjin sighed softly, kissing her back slightly uncoordinated-
Entering her bedroom completely, Maddie broke the kiss, Hyunjin’s bright purple eyes meeting hers for only a moment before he was looking over his shoulder, closing the door gently behind him.
The soft click was the only sound in the room besides their heavy breathing, and for a moment, Maddie felt frozen, just looking at him.
She thought Hyunjin couldn’t get any better looking, but then it had to rain, and the effects of that were so beautiful she was almost angry about it.
Blonde hair a little stringy, pieces hanging in his perfectly handsome face as he looked at her, eyes still flickering purple, white shirt stuck to his skin and a little see-through, leaving no room for imagination if she didn’t already know what he looked like underneath-
Something like electricity was lingering in the little space between their bodies, Maddie’s breath catching in her throat when she saw Hyunjin’s eyes roaming slowly up and down her figure, like- somehow- he was as attracted to her as she was to him, the thought of that alone sending her heart rate through the roof-
Not really thinking, Maddie was pushing on his shoulders, Hyunjin falling up against the door with a small, surprised laugh, grinning playfully at her.
But then she was kissing him hard and he was humming against her lips, his hands running up her arms, caressing her neck, threading through her hair as Maddie felt another dose of debilitating pleasure snake through her veins-
His incubus powers were stronger tonight, her legs a bit wobbly as she held his shoulders for a moment, pulling her lips from his to trail kisses down his jaw-
Hyunjin’s head tilted back against the door, a small breathless sort of moan slipping from his throat as she pressed her lips against his neck.
Her hands were back beneath his shirt again, caressing the slickness of his skin, Hyunjin lifting a bit into her touch as she tasted his salty skin, feeling impatient-
“Wow-” his voice was a little strained as he spoke, Maddie totally satisfied by that, his hands now scratching up her back. “-I should kiss you in the rain more often-”
He was teasing her again- like he himself wasn’t a little more into it than usual- and she rolled her eyes before speaking against his skin.
“Shut up.”
Then she was biting him, Hyunjin hissing as his fingers curled into her back, such a strong wave of incubus powers washing over her that Maddie had to regain her equilibrium for a second-
Shit
There was a sense of urgency, to their movements, Maddie’s hands slipping out from beneath his shirt, yanking it upwards, wanting it off-
Hyunjin took the hem from her grip, taking the shirt off and throwing it to the side, his hands immediately gripping her own shirt, tugging on it somewhat harshly.
Maddie lifted her arms, letting him pull the wet fabric off her body, the damp strands of her hair sticking to her face a bit, before his palms were sliding up her sides once more.
He seemed a little more impatient than usual, Maddie kissing him across his collarbones, hands running up the bare skin of his torso, Hyunjins hands snaking up her back and unhooking her bra in one fluid motion-
She took the straps from her shoulders, pushing them off and throwing the garment to the side, Hyunjin breathing out when she stepped just a little closer, her hands running down the length of his stomach-
He was squeezing her boobs a little roughly, but it felt wonderful, Maddie nipping at the skin of his shoulder as she stifled a gasp, Hyunjin’s thumbs drawing circles around her nipples-
Hot, lava-like arousal was racing through every vein in her body, Maddie biting a little harder- just below his collarbone now- sucking on the skin, Hyunjin moaning and slightly arching off the door-
“Huh-”
It was her turn to tease, even with her voice a little tight from the way he was touching her-
“-you’re so needy today-”
Hyunjin let out a choked laugh, squeezing her boobs again and making her gasp before she could stop it.
“You’re the one who had me go this long without-”
Maddie was kissing across his chest, her fingers messing with the waistband of his pants, dipping just below the pantline-
“Maybe if you would’ve just said sorry-”
His hands stuttered against her before he was holding her sides again, hips lifting ever so slightly into her touch.
“Maybe if you would’ve just- ah-” he cut off when she started tracing the v-line of his hips. “-told me you liked me already-”
Maddie bit him hard this time, Hyunjin squeezing her waist and she smiled a little, done with all the banter-
If she was being perfectly honest, she didn’t know which one of them was more needy; Hyunjin who hadn’t fed in four days, or her.
With clumsy fingers, she undid the button of his pants and slid down the zipper, her hand immediately reaching inside and wrapping around his erection.
She stroked up and down, kissing a line down his stomach, his hands slipping from her sides, Hyunjin’s breath hitching loudly as she felt his fingers card through her hair-
And then Maddie was dropping to her knees rather suddenly, Hyunjin moving her light brown strands out of her face, and she was looking up at him before running her tongue slowly up the underside of his dick.
Hyunjin groaned low in his throat, fingers curling into her hair now, pulling on it, Maddie watching his head fall back against the door again with a dull thud before her eyes were slipping closed.
She took him into her mouth carefully, wanting to play with him a bit, liking him a little more desperate than he usually was, her tongue sliding slowly across his slit before lowering her head.
“Ah, Maddie,” he breathed, sounding slightly annoyed. “Just-”
But his words were lost in another moan as she parted her lips further, taking more of him in and sucking a little, effectively silencing whatever he was about to say.
His other hand was running almost clumsily up her arm, sparking, red hot flames seeming to come from beneath his fingertips, Maddie’s whole body shuddering a bit at how good he felt, wondering vaguely how his powers were always so strong, even as weakened as he was now-
Relaxing her throat, she took as much of him into her mouth as she could handle, starting a rhythm, bobbing her head up and down as Hyunjin held her hair, the loud bang against the door telling her his head had fallen back once more-
“Mm-” he was choking on air, she could hear it, hand squeezing her arm as if holding on, hips lifting a bit. “Ohmygod-”
Another surge of incubus powers was making its way through her system, just as Maddie’s tongue was swirling around him, drawing circular patterns along his dick, Hyunjin moving into her mouth a little too harshly-
She pushed his hips back rather forcefully with her free hand, Hyunjin exhaling loudly, breaths coming out a little shorter-
Maddie increased her rhythm, nearly shaking with how absolutely turned on she was, Hyunjin’s powers combined with her own desire overwhelming her.
“Shit, Mad-” there was a slight whine to his tone before he was moaning again, yanking on her hair again. “Keep going-”
And she realized he was already about to finish- wound too tight- and she didn’t want him to; not yet-
She pulled back quickly, a loud pop echoing in the room as Hyunjin’s hand shifted in her hair, his eyes bright purple as he stared down at her, gasping for breath.
“Why did you stop?” he breathed.
And Maddie swallowed hard, sitting back for a moment and trying to find her balance before standing up.
“Because-”
She dragged her hands up his chest, caressing his shoulders and leaning closer.
“I want more than that.”
Hyunjin chuckled- sounding half exasperated, half amused- before he was leaning forward, hands running up her back as he kissed her hard on the mouth.
“Fine,” he muttered like it was the most annoying thing in the world.
But he was smiling against her lips, and she was laughing lightly while Hyunjin grabbed her hips, pushing her backwards as they’d done earlier, Maddie holding his shoulders-
The back of her legs hit the mattress, and she giggled again, falling onto the bed before slowly scooting backwards. She laid back a bit, body weight on her elbows, and she saw Hyunjin’s eyes roam up and down her body, sending a strong shiver down her spine.
Then his eyes were on hers- purple and glowing- and Hyunjin was crawling slowly over her body. He looked so much like an incubus, it almost would’ve been scary; a wave of heat running through her entire system, his eyes so focused on her own, the beauty of him so completely not real-
“You can look kind of intense, you know that?”
Maddie’s words were soft as she said it- like she was nervous- and Hyunjin chuckled, slightly, his face right above her own as he tilted his head.
“Am I intimidating you?” he teased, lips centimeters from her own.
And his hot breath ghosting across her like that had Maddie’s elbows weakening, head falling to the mattress as she let out a breathless laugh.
“That is not what I meant-”
But Hyunjin was chuckling again, leaning closer, Maddie’s head automatically tilting back further-
“Sure,” he replied playfully.
Then he was kissing the side of her neck and she was whining a little before she could help it, the warmth of that so good, a buzzing anticipation in the little space between their bodies.
And despite the impatience between both of them, Hyunjin seemed to be taking his time, pressing meticulous, heated kisses down her body, hands roaming up her sides, fingers curling so his nails could scrape into her skin, Maddie arching her back into his touch with a gasp-
He was biting at her skin just slightly- enough to send a sharp excitement through her body- before moving again, Maddie gasping before she could help it, Hyunjin smirking against her skin as he moved lower and lower-
Then his fingers were hooking into the waistband of her pajama pants, and he was pulling them down smoothly, crawling off the bed, pulling the fabric off her legs completely and letting them fall to the ground.
Maddie was lifting up again, breath in her throat, Hyunjin’s hands running up her inner thighs before he was leaning down, replacing his fingers with his lips-
Shit she knew what he wanted to do, the fiery tightness in her stomach telling her she wanted it, but also still wanted more.
But she couldn’t talk at first, Hyunjin’s lips caressing her upper thighs, fingers sliding beneath them, spreading her legs a little.
“Wait-” she choked out, lifting her head. “Wait, Hyunjin, I-”
He looked up at her, still smiling a little- no doubt, at how breathless she sounded- and she swallowed hard at how fucking hot he was down there-
“What?” he raised an eyebrow. “You don’t want me to?”
And Maddie felt her body melting into the mattress at his words- like silk, she hated it when he did that- hands squeezing her legs as he sent more incubus powers through her system-
“No, I- I want you- so just-”
She didn’t know what she was saying, eyes squeezed shut as she stuttered around her words, but she heard Hyunjin laughing softly before there was a rustle of fabric and he was crawling back onto the bed, completely naked.
Maddie opened her eyes, Hyunjin above her once more, a one-sided grin still on his face.
“Is this better?” he asked.
There was a slight catch in his voice- something Maddie only noticed because she knew him well enough now- that told her he was just as turned on.
But for a moment, they just looked at one another, their eyes meeting, Hyunjin’s smile softening a little, and there was a subtle shift between them.
All night, her heart had been hammering in her chest, nerves tingling, breath caught somewhere in her throat like it always was when she was with him.
As he waited above her- heated skin pressed against her own- Maddie could feel the electricity in the air again…
And suddenly, she remembered a year ago, when she’d applied to be a manager in the first place, and during her tests, she’d felt that buzzing for the first time.
“If you have what we call in the human world instant chemistry, then the electricity can happen from that immediate connection. It basically means you both have feelings for each other.”
Hyunjin was still looking at her, that same surprise and slight wonder on his face, Maddie swallowing hard as a different kind of warmth spread fast through her chest-
“We should’ve known…” she said, laughing a little under her breath.
“What do you mean?” he muttered, purple eyes darting between her own.
Maddie didn’t say anything at first, her hands dragging up the length of his arms, watching her own movements, feeling that instant sparking beneath her fingertips, like a cracked wire.
“The static,” she whispered.
Hyunjin glanced down at her fingers, goosebumps rising on the skin of his arms before he was laughing a little with a small nod.
“Instant connection,” he said lowly.
And then they were looking at each other again, a lump in Maddie’s throat, a softness in Hyunjin’s eyes, the static increasing-
She thought maybe, they might just might be the dumbest people in the world.
Because of course they liked each other.
Why else would they be there? Despite the bickering, the annoyances, the differences of opinion, the too-independent-to-be-tied-down attitude…
They were still there.
Hyunjin swooped down rather suddenly, kissing her hard, Maddie’s insides exploding with butterflies as she wrapped her arms quickly around his neck.
Their rhythm was deep and passionate, his lips moving so perfectly against her own, taking her breath away, and Maddie’s fingers were threading through his hair, impatient all over again-
But she didn’t have to say anything, Hyunjin breaking the kiss with a quiet gasp as his forehead fell against hers, the man looking down at their bodies.
Then they were moaning loudly together as Hyunjin thrusted forward, the feel of it so mind-numbingly amazing that Maddie’s fingers were yanking on the blonde strands between her fingers.
He groaned at that, moving in a quick and steady rhythm, their skin slick with sweat, his forehead falling to her shoulder as he moved.
Maddie was gasping for air, moving into him, desperately on edge already as Hyunjin moaned again, almost whiny, his breaths hot against her collarbones-
“Oh, God,” his voice was a little more high-pitched, fingers already curling into the sheets. “Shit-”
He was moving a little faster, Maddie’s legs wrapping around him, body tight now with need and arousal, incubus powers so strong she felt like her skin was on fire-
Hyunjin’s forehead was slipping against her, and he yanked so hard on the sheet in his grip that it moved her a bit, Maddie’s fingers pulling on his hair again, racing fast to the edge.
He was already close, but honestly so was she as she moaned at the feel of him, hips still moving with his own, Hyunjin’s breath hitching loudly-
“Ah-”
He cut himself off as he moaned lowly, coming undone right above her, the small cry that caught in his throat telling her he’d been slightly surprised, moving and working his way through it-
And something about him being that desperate- that she could make him feel that good that she’d surprised him- had Maddie finishing just seconds after him, her high-pitched whine as she arched off the bed a little louder than she’d expected-
After a moment, Hyunjin stopped moving, Maddie falling back onto the mattress, and then the man was collapsing on top of her, both of them sighing loudly.
She was comfortable at first, but Hyunjin wasn’t exactly light, and she whined a little, wiggling slightly beneath him.
“Hyunjin,” she muttered with a pout. “I can’t breathe-”
“Oh- Sorry-”
His voice was a little rough, and he lifted up, kissing her shoulder absentmindedly and shifting his weight a bit. A majority of his body was still on her, but Maddie liked that, his warmth engulfing her a bit as they both came down from their highs together.
For a few minutes, it was silent, Maddie’s heartbeat in her ears, the two of them lingering in the afterglow. Then, Hyunjin was slowly lifting his head to look at her, eyes their normal chocolate brown again, and she let out a tired laugh.
“I should make you wait four days more often,” she joked.
“Tch,” he chuckled. “You would never last that long.”
Her mouth dropped open as she smiled, raising her eyebrows at him.
“Try me.”
“I mean, I could always just find someone else…” he said with a shrug.
She feigned offense, eyes widening as she shoved him weakly.
“It’s too soon for jokes!”
“Sorry, sorry…”
They were both laughing lightly, Maddie knowing it actually wasn’t too soon; Hyunjin would never make the joke unless he really would never find someone else.
Another moment passed before Hyunjin was lifting his body off of her, rolling over with a loud exhale, his head falling to the pillow right beside her own.
Maddie was so happy like this; happy they’d finally admitted their feelings, happy Hyunjin liked her as much as she liked him, the thought of that alone making her smile.
She was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open, and for a moment, her gaze wandered down the side of Hyunjin’s handsome face, his chest still rising and falling as he stared up at the ceiling above them.
Then she was rolling onto her side, snuggling up to him a bit as a sleepy thought came to her head.
“Hey… how come your eyes never turn blue when we’re together?”
She was totally messing with him- she knew what that color in his eyes would mean- but the joke made her heart jump a little, wondering-
“Tch-”
Hyunjin was grinning as he reached up to push his hair off his face, tilting down to look at her.
“Wow… I barely admitted to liking you,” he teased.
Maddie giggled, reaching out to shove him, her hand falling to rest upon his stomach instead, feeling the small vibration of his laughter.
And as she lifted her head to look at him, a smile still pulling on the corners of his lips, she felt a strong stutter in her chest-
Because as Hyunjin’s eyes slipped closed…
Maddie could’ve sworn she saw a hint of blue.

Maddie was sitting in a cushy chair right beside Jeongin, thankful they had the movie theater to themselves.
It was always more fun that way.
“You like the sour gummy bears, right?” she asked, ripping the bag open and almost dropping it. “Because these are seriously so good-”
“Yeah,” Jeongin nodded eagerly, smiling a little. “They’re one of my favorites.”
“I knew there was a reason I liked you,” she teased, both of them laughing.
But then Jeongin’s expression was softening, his eyes darting across her face for such a brief moment, she almost would’ve missed it, before he was digging his hand into the bag.
And Maddie’s stomach was flipping, a small smile pulling on her own lips as she reached over to grab a handful of popcorn from the bucket in his lap.
Ever since Jeongin had come back from Christmas break, the two of them had gotten a lot closer.
Maddie and Jeongin had always gotten along; even at the beginning, when all she was ever worried about was making sure he kept up with his feedings.
But after he’d come back from Christmas break, things had changed a bit.
It all started when they’d been talking together about something Maddie couldn’t remember, and she’d found out Jeongin had never been mini-golfing.
She’d told him he had to go- it was so much fun, even if you lost because the themes were usually really cool.
And no one else had wanted to go, leaving the two of them alone and having such a fun time, Maddie wondered why they’d never hung out before then.
After that, they’d slowly started getting together when they could- in between busy schedules and overnights in different countries- just hanging out.
“I’m curious about this movie,” Jeongin said, interrupting her thoughts. “I want to know how Knuckles is going to be at the end.”
The armrest between them was small, Maddie and Jeongin’s arms resting there together, skin to skin, the tiniest of buzzes in her veins at the feel of it.
“Well it’s only the second Sonic movie, but I still think they’re gonna team up,” Maddie replied with a grin. “And Tails will be here. too. So yeah- he’s gonna be a good guy in the end.”
He nodded, grabbing some more popcorn, and she swallowed, looking at him for a moment.
Jeongin was… very handsome.
He always had been, even when Maddie wanted to be in denial about it, and in the past seven or eight months, he’d only seemed to get better looking.
When they sat close like this- arm against arm, sharing food, alone in the dimly lit theater, waiting for their movie to start…
Well, that fact was not lost on her.
While these “hang outs” had never been called dates- something about them made Maddie feel like they were.
There was something about the way he looked at her, just as he did a moment ago, features soft, smile gentle, body pressed so casually against her own…
And the way he just was with her- so weirdly romantic- making Maddie’s heart race, surprising her-
“Here-”
Jeongin was reaching beneath the ginormous bucket of popcorn on his legs, grabbing a small stack of napkins and placing them on her own lap. She wasn’t sure if the dust of his fingers upon her thigh was on purpose, but Maddie felt a stutter in her chest at the feel of it, giggling automatically-
“Are you saying I’m messy?” she joked, turning to scowl playfully at him.
“Yes,” Jeongin replied without hesitation, making her laugh again.
“Hey!”
“It’s butter, how could it not be messy?” he asked between his own laughter, falling a bit when she pushed her arm against his in a playful shove.
“I know you meant it’s just me,” she teased back.
And he grinned, choosing not to answer, only eating more popcorn, Maddie giggling once more.
Jeongin was one of her favorite people in the mansion- if she was being honest with herself, he probably always had been- and she valued their friendship a lot.
But something about this; something about the way he would glance at her, smiling again, a sparkle in his eyes that had Maddie smiling right back…
Something about his kind gestures and his almost chivalrous ways with her…
Sometimes, she felt like there was a lot more than friendship going on here.
Maddie resisted the urge to bury her face in her hands, ignoring the small twist in her chest as she popped three gummy bears into her mouth.
This was all… so complicated.
She had never wanted this; she didn’t want a crush on Jeongin, and she certainly didn’t want him having a crush on her.
Maddie didn’t want anything to ruin this awesome friendship that’d developed between the two of them.
But he was an incubus- a Level Three incubus at that- and Maddie couldn’t deny the certain amount of chemistry that lingered between them.
The way her fingers tingled ever so slightly when they touched.
The way her stomach would flip a little, when he’d smile her way.
The way she’d giggle when he teased her, flirting with her, a small warmth in her chest…
She took three more gummy bears out of the bag, a little more aggressively than she’d meant to, when she realized Jeongin wasn’t even the only Level Three incubus in her life…
Hyunjin
Her reaction to the thought of him was embarrassingly immediate; stomach filling with stupid, annoying butterflies, heart skipping a beat in her chest, Maddie chewing a little more fiercely on her candy…
She’d been spending a lot of alone time with Hyunjin as well.
The lights dimmed a little more in the theater, telling them the trailers were about to start, just as Maddie was swallowing around the weird hum in her throat.
They weren’t spending time together like this- like she and Jeongin, in the movie theater, just the two of them, sharing food and laughing with light conversation.
No, Maddie was going to help Hyunjin feed; to get some stress relief because everything with him was- admittedly- very good and he seemed to like it just as much.
Not that he’d ever tell her that.
But then there were times afterwards; when the hook-up was over and Maddie knew she should be climbing out of Hyunjin’s bed, telling him goodnight and leaving the room…
When she stayed instead, watching Hyunjin pull his phone off the nightstand, laying close as always and insisting he show her a new Webtoon he found that she had to read.
Maddie laughing, telling him she has too many, and she can’t read another- only for him to ignore her entirely, reading her the synopsis, knowing it’ll catch her attention and she’ll have to read it-
Hyunjin and her snuggled beneath the covers just after sex, the winter air outside bringing a chill to his room, Maddie complaining that she needed more covers and she was freezing-
She and Hyunjin tugging together on the comforter, bickering about who has longer legs and if that really matters, only for the man to tug too hard-
Her falling into him, body pressed against his own, Hyunjin’s laughter subsiding a little as he looked down at her…
And Maddie wondering how she could be cold at all, under the blankets with him like this, her body suddenly on fire-
Hyunjin’s eyes darting between her own before he was swooping down to kiss her, Maddie’s head falling softly upon the mattress-
“Hey-”
Maddie nearly squeaked in surprise, not realizing her eyes were glazed over, shaking her head to clear her vision before turning to Jeongin.
“-want some more?” he whispered.
He was shaking the bucket of popcorn, face close to hers so he could hear her, and so incredibly handsome that Maddie found herself smiling automatically again, nodding quickly before reaching into the bucket.
Still, the guilt at her thoughts had a small rock forming in her stomach, Maddie eating each popcorn kernel one at a time after thanking Jeongin softly, turning back to watch the trailers.
Not wanting to think about any of this any longer, she forced herself to pay attention to the movie, ignoring the way Jeongin’s arm was still pressed so completely against her own.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie was standing at the kitchen sink, her hands a little red from the scalding hot water.
She was rinsing the soap off newly cleaned dishes, Felix right beside her with rubber gloves and a sponge in hand, scrubbing all the dirty plates from that evening’s dinner.
It was just two days after their first performance, and a rare night they were able to cook a meal at home, all ten of them eating together. As per the usual house rules, everyone rotated on dishes, and tonight it was Felix and Maddie, the two of them working together like a well-oiled machine.
They hadn’t said much- in fact, they hadn’t talked at all- but the silence was comfortable, and it’d been such a long day of practices, interviews, and driving all around South Korea, that neither of them felt much like conversation.
It was one of the many things Maddie loved about Felix; he was always so good at reading the room.
If she was being honest with herself though, Maddie thought she might just love everything about Felix.
He was way less maintenance than everyone else in the mansion- even Jeongin- and was such a sweetheart that often just his presence made people feel better. He was an amazing baker, a person that would talk to you about anything, and overall, his aura was just… comforting.
Still, when Maddie glanced his way, waiting for the next dish to rinse off, she saw him pressing his lips together as if something was bothering him, swallowing hard-
“What do you think, Maddie?”
She jumped, looking up at Chan and Lila sitting at the kitchen table, papers spread all across the wooden surface, trying to work out the next couple days’ plan.
“Think about…?”
She hadn’t been listening, smiling guiltily, and Lila grinned with a shake of her head.
“If we drop Changbin off at his girl’s house for her appointment, then get Hyunjin and Minho from that dance workshop up at JYP, then- Chan, stop!”
Chan had reached over to tickle her ribs, clearly trying to mess up her words, and Lila giggled loudly, trying and failing to push his hands away.
Maddie laughed, rolling her eyes playfully; sometimes, Chan and Lila were really flirty like this. They adored each other- that much was obvious to anyone who saw them- but when there were less people around, they seemed to be much more comfortable with PDA.
Specifically in front of Jeongin, Hyunjin, her and Felix.
Maybe it was because they knew the four of them either didn’t judge or didn’t care, and would never make a joke at their expense. Maybe it was because- in a weird sort of way- Chan felt the most comfortable with them, and didn’t feel like he had to hide as much his feelings for Lila…
Because even though there’d never been any kind of anything announced; there was no denying Chan had feelings for Lila.
Maddie wasn’t one hundred percent sure why, but when they were alone like this, sometimes-
“-I can’t breathe!” Lila squealed, making Maddie laugh as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“Are you gonna tell me the rest of the plans or?” she tried to sound annoyed, but she was smiling too much, and Chan looked at her, grinning a little.
“Okay, I’m sorry I’m done-”
But while he’d taken his hands from Lila’s sides, he’d swiped up the papers, reading the rest of the plan before she could.
“-after Hyunjin and Minho, we can head to pick up Changbin and get everyone to the studio for recording before eight.”
Lila pouted playfully at him, but Chan kept his eyes on Maddie, purposely ignoring her as he tried not to smile.
“Yeah,” Maddie replied with a shrug. “I mean… sounds good to me.”
“Great!” Chan exclaimed, finally turning to Lila with that same, playful grin. “Guess we’re all set then.”
Maddie was honestly glad the two were doing just fine- eyes shining when they looked at one another, Lila shoving him with a small giggle- because the day of their first performance, Chan had seemed a bit stressed.
They hadn’t been able to find Seungmin, and Chan had been running around like crazy while Maddie had been in a mad rush for Changbin’s lost earpiece, and until the moment they’d stepped out on stage, the leader had been tense; not his normal, happy-go-lucky self.
Lila had been worried- almost like it’d been something to do with her- but by the time the performance was over, Chan had come running from the stage with his normal, megawatt smile, hugging Lila tightly after everyone had passed by to pile into the makeup room.
And things were totally back to normal.
Maddie turned to the sink once more, her eyes immediately darting to Felix, who’d been watching the entire exchange. He caught her eye, quickly going back to their dishes, and Maddie realized he’d been washing the same plate since she’d turned her back on him.
There was a small knot in her stomach at the look on his face- eyebrows slightly raised in distress, lips pressing together again, very concentrated on cleaning the plate- and she knew it was because of Chan and Lila.
Since the beginning, Maddie had always known Felix had a crush on Lila.
She saw it in everything the man did; saving the biggest cookies for her, cheeks dusting pink every time Lila gave him a compliment, his lingering gaze on her face, even when she turned away from their conversation, Felix shaking his head and quickly walking away- as if scolding himself for looking at her-
Maddie knew Felix had it bad for Lila, and always had since they’d started this job.
And she also knew Felix seemed to feel really guilty about it.
She supposed it was because Chan was one of his best friends; that Felix looked up to the man, loved him, and they just so happened to like the same girl…
Or maybe it was because Lila so clearly liked Chan back- more than just liked him- and had never seen Felix as anything more than a little brother…
Maddie bit her lip, watching Felix pass over the plate without looking up, reaching for a dirty cup next, looking like he was in his head again-
“I think we’re all set!” Lila said, the scraping of chairs across tile telling Maddie she and Chan were standing up. “Finally!”
Maddie laughed, turning to them again, seeing Felix look over as well out of the corner of her eye.
“I’m gonna head back to my studio,” Chan said with a friendly wave, walking with Lila. “See you guys tomorrow!”
“See you later, Maddie!” Lila called. “Goodnight Felix!”
“Goodnight you guys,” Felix said, voice deep as usual.
Maddie waved, trying to hide her smirk- she knew they were spending the night together- before turning back to the dishes, Felix already going back to cleaning.
It was quiet again between them, and while the silence was still comfortable, Maddie could tell the man was thinking hard, his methodic scrubbing of the cup telling her his mind was far away from this kitchen-
“Hey.”
He jumped, dropping the cup in the soapy water with a small splash as he turned to her.
“Sorry-”
He chuckled, shaking his head and picking up the cup.
“-was lost in thought there.”
“It’s okay,” Maddie smiled. “I was just wondering… Do you want to bake together? Maybe… make some snickerdoodles?”
The question made Felix as happy as she hoped it would, the man beaming as his eyes darted between her own.
“Yeah,” he replied quickly, handing over the clean cup for her to rinse. “That sounds amazing-”
“I thought it’d be fun,” she said, giggling a little; his happiness was infectious. “They’re my favorite cookies and yet I’ve never made them myself.”
“Well,” Felix tilted his head. “You’ve come to the right place.”
“Great,” she laughed, bumping her shoulder against his. “Next night we’re free? In like… two days?”
“Yeah, sounds awesome.”
Maddie watched as Felix grabbed one of the last dishes in their pile, a small grin still pulling on the corners of his lips as he scrubbed it quickly.
And feeling a small warmth in her chest, she rinsed off the cup in her hands, glad she could make the sunshine of their group so happy.

Part 1 | Part 2
Arin led the way across the school grounds, her friend MiYoung’s vague description of the house she was supposed to be heading to, running repeatedly through her head. She focused on those words, her surroundings, and her footsteps as she tried not to think about anything else regarding this party.
“Did you text your date to let her know you’ll be late?”
Eunmi and Jaebum were walking side by side behind her, and Arin smiled a little at her best friend’s question.
“Nah.”
Jae had arrived at their apartment fifteen minutes late, and even though Arin had been a little irritated- she did not like being late- no one gave him more trouble about it than Eunmi.
It was ironic really, since the girl was notorious for being late herself, but she jumped on the opportunity to tease Jaebum about it. He had taken it in stride, in an exceptionally good mood tonight, deflecting every playful jab she threw at him.
“What if she’s waiting for you?” Eunmi asked.
Arin didn’t need to turn around to know what the two of them looked like; Jae had his hands shoved in his pockets like always, not looking at her with amusement shining in his eyes. Eunmi was looking at the side of his face, her wandering gaze too speculative- too focused- to back up her claims that Jae got on her nerves so much.
“She’ll be fine,” Jae replied just as Arin was turning onto the street they needed. “I’m late to a lot of dates, so…”
Arin shook her head subtly, rolling her eyes up to the sky; the man knew just what to say to get a rise out of Eunmi, and it seemed with his good mood came a more snarky, button-pushing Jae.
And of course he loved pushing Eunmi’s buttons the most.
“Wait what? You're late to your dates?” she asked, taking the bait like a worm on a hook, and Arin could practically feel Jae’s triumph. “How late are we talking?”
“Just depends.”
Arin could see the house they needed now; it was way too obvious. The music was already audible from where she was standing, six houses down, and she felt her stomach tighten as she continued to lead the way.
It’s just a party, Arin. What are you worried about?
She didn’t know why she was trying to pretend; trying to pretend she hadn’t thought about the fact that this was a grad student party, and Jinyoung was a grad student.
Jinyoung didn’t seem like the partying type at first glance- he was too clean-cut. He was meticulous, nerdy in an adorable kind of way, and didn’t seem like the kind of guy that would touch a college party with a ten-foot pole.
But the man was more than what he seemed.
Because when Arin had been alone with him for the first time, having a TA/student meeting as he went over her paper, she could see that the man had a playful side. He was funny, and teasing, and more laid-back than he might seem to the majority of people who met him, and for some reason, Arin had a feeling if the man did get invited to this party, he just might go.
You’re making assumptions off a ten minute meeting with him yesterday, Arin
Still, she couldn’t deny her gut-instinct; she’d always been too intuitive to do that.
“-and then you just show up to the date, even though you’re late?” Eunmi’s words interrupted Arin’s thoughts, her best friend somehow sounding both annoyed and curious. “What if it’s like, a movie or something?”
“I’m not going to be late if it’s a movie,” Jae laughed at that, and Arin smiled. “If I’m late, it’s only about ten minutes, so it’s not that serious…”
They were walking through yard of the house up to the front door, the music loud enough to shake the ground beneath their feet. There were people standing in the driveway in groups, chatting with plastic cups in their hands. There was a couple making out not-so-subtly behind the bushes near the front porch, and a group of guys trying to set up a beer pong table despite the sharp incline of the yard.
Eunmi and Jae were now standing on either side of her, the three of them walking as one through the front door. Jae leaned forward to open it up, and they filed in behind him, the music even louder now, and Arin almost jumped. Eunmi laughed next to her, immediately looking around at the incredible amount of people that surrounded them on all sides.
Arin swallowed hard; it seemed every grad student at the school was at this party.
“Arin!” Eunmi shouted over the noise, smile radiant. “Do you think Yoongi will be here after all?”
Yoongi was the hot guy in Eunmi’s science class, and the girl had been talking to him since the semester started. She’d been hoping to see him tonight, and had been speculating with Arin as they got ready for the party, the two of them trying to figure out if they thought Yoongi would come to this or not. It had been part of the reason Eunmi had taken so long to pick out an outfit- settling on a black skirt and matching black crop-top- and begged Arin to do her makeup.
She hadn’t bothered bringing up Jinyoung, keeping those speculations to herself.
“It’s a pretty good chance,” Arin answered her best friend with a smile to hide her nerves. “Do you want to look for him?”
They were still standing in the entryway of the house, and even there, they had a decent amount of people on all sides of them. The music was loud, but the overlapping conversations were even louder, people laughing and calling out to one another, walking past them with bright smiles and flushed faces. There were people sitting on the staircase directly in front of them, chatting close as they sipped their drinks.
There were two ways they could go; to the right, which was- from what Arin could see- the living room, and was filled with a lot of students, or straight ahead, a small, narrow and oddly empty hallway that led to the kitchen.
“I don’t know…” Eunmi was biting her lip, but the excited smile was still there, eyes already wandering to the living room. “Do you think we should look for him? Should I say hi so soon?”
Arin would love a distraction from her nerves; if she was looking for this Yoongi guy, then she wasn’t looking for Jinyoung, and that idea sounded pretty appealing at the moment.
“Yes. Gives you more time to talk to him.”
It was all the answer she needed it seemed, and Eunmi bounced a little on her feet, beaming as she moved past Arin to Jaebum. The man had been looking around, seemingly not listening to their conversation, simply observing the people around him.
“Jae!” Eunmi put her hands on his shoulders, and he looked down at her, smiling as she turned him, pushing slightly. “You lead, you’re the biggest- you can move people out of the way.”
He laughed but didn’t shake her off, walking as she continued to push him forward. He looked over his shoulder after a couple steps, eyes moving to her hands before darting to her bright-eyed smile.
“Where are we going?”
Arin was surprised by how flirty Jae looked in that moment, watching as Eunmi took her hands from his shoulders as if burned.
She must’ve noticed that look in his eyes, too.
Then Eunmi was shoving him hard in the back, and he laughed sharply as he stumbled forward, Arin spotting how pink the side of Eunmi’s face was.
“Just move!” Eunmi sounded frustrated, taking her hands from him the second she was done pushing him. “We’re looking for Yoongi!”
Jae’s smile flickered before he was facing forward again.
“ARIN!”
She whipped around; they were surrounded on all sides by people, Arin not even realizing they had made it halfway through the large living room. There were students crowded on the three leather couches, the coffee table covered in empty beer bottles, abandoned plastic cups, and crumpled bags of chips.
The heat from the many meandering bodies in the cramped space was a little stifling, chatter almost deafening, but she could still pick up her friend MiYoung’s excited voice over everything else.
“MiYoung!”
Arin smiled, genuinely happy to see her older friend as she fought through the crowd of people, red solo cup in hand.
“I’m so glad you came!” her cheeks were a little pink, and she was smiling so big it made Arin laugh. “I’ve been looking for you!”
Arin was flattered, running a hand through her hair.
“Sorry, I was waiting on my cousin, Jae, he’s always late-”
“Is that him?”
MiYoung nodded in Jaebum’s direction, the man currently smirking down at Eunmi, moving to stand next to her.
“Yeah, that’s him.”
“Hm, he’s sexy,” MiYoung giggled after she said it, taking a sip of her drink with a raised eyebrow. “Is he single?”
Arin turned to look at her cousin again, who was laughing as he jumped back from Eunmi’s attempt at slapping him on the arm.
“-not that short!” Eunmi was saying, voice carrying over the scattered conversations. “He’s taller than me, and that’s what matters.”
“Uh-” Arin looked back at MiYoung, who was watching the exchange with an amused expression.
“Let’s get a drink,” she interrupted, grabbing Arin’s hand with a smile. “It’s not a party until you’re drunk.”
“Sure, let me just-”
She was going to get Eunmi and Jae, see if they wanted to come with.
“-get lost in all these people,” Jae was barely audible, but they were close enough Arin could pick up on his words. “It’s going to be hard to find this Yoongi guy when he’s shorter than-”
“Shut up,” Eunmi was trying to be angry, Arin could see it, but she was laughing and giving herself away entirely. “I already told you, that’s not what matters. And you are so loud, what if he hears?”
“Wouldn’t he just say hi to us if he saw you here?” Jae asked with raised eyebrows. “You guys do talk, right?”
“What? Of course we-”
“Yeah let’s go.”
Arin turned away with a shake of her head; the two of them could fight it out until she got back.
MiYoung pulled her through the throngs of people to the other side of the living room and into the kitchen, moving around the table and chairs. The kitchen was a decent size, every counter filled with snacks, drinks, and alcohol bottles.
“What do you want?” MiYoung asked, waving her hand around with a flourish. “Want what I’ve got? It’s strong.”
Arin smiled mischievously at her friend.
“Let’s do it.”
MiYoung laughed, immediately getting to work on making the drink. Despite being the snacks and drinks spot, the kitchen was surprisingly empty. It seemed people were either sardined in the living room or lingering on the deck, which Arin could see through the sliding glass doors by the kitchen table.
“So,” MiYoung handed Arin the drink, who sipped it tentatively. “Have you gotten to talk to Jinyoung since your paper meeting?”
Arin almost choked on the drink that was, indeed, strong, feeling her cheeks go pink.
“What? I mean no, that was just yesterday so-”
MiYoung seemed thrilled, leaning against the island with a bright smile.
“Look at you getting all nervous,” she said, Arin quickly looking away. “So? Are you gonna try to-“
“MIYOUNG!”
A beautiful girl with pink streaks in her long dark hair came in from the narrow hallway, eyes wide as saucers.
“Minha, what-?”
Arin looked between the two of them; their features were so similar they could be sisters.
“It’s Taehyung, he dropped a bottle of wine on the carpet upstairs,” Minha looked exasperated. “He and Hoseok were playing a game, I don’t even know, and it’s red wine-”
“Shit,” MiYoung muttered under her breath, turning to Arin. “Go mingle and hang with your friends-”
She gave her a quick, knowing smile before reaching under the kitchen sink, pulling out an assortment of cleaning supplies.
“I’ll find you later, okay? I’m sorry-”
“No, seriously, it’s fine,” Arin laughed as MiYoung gave her a grateful smile. “I’ve got Eunmi and Jae.”
Then her friend was waving the best she could with full hands before following Minha back down the hall.
When she was gone, Arin inhaled slowly before exhaling, reveling in the semi-quiet for a moment; it was kind of nice.
She sipped on her drink, knowing she should go find Eunmi and Jae soon. Arin wondered if they had found Yoongi by now, and if it was awkward at all. Should she go check on them? Or if they hadn’t found Yoongi, would she be doing them a favor, leaving them alone?
The glass door to the deck slowly slid open, and Arin almost dropped her drink, finishing it off quickly to hide her face as it turned bright red.
“Miss Kim?”
Shit
She swallowed down the burn of the alcohol, turning to the man who was smiling playfully at her.
Jinyoung
“Hi!”
Arin grinned, trying to be casual, but her heart was hammering so loudly in her ears she almost couldn’t hear the soft laugh that slipped from his lips as he moved closer.
“What are you doing here?”
The question was good-natured, his handsome face looking genuinely curious as he took a drink out of his own cup.
“MiYoung invited me,” she replied, moving to refill her drink so she had something to do with her hands. “What, I can’t come to a grad student party?”
She was really thankful for her older friend’s strong drink choice- it made being nervous in the presence of the one man she both dreaded and longed to see so much easier.
“I mean, I guess you can,” Jinyoung walked around the island to lean against the counter closer to where she was making her drink. “I didn’t realize you knew so many older students.”
“I don’t,” Arin giggled, looking up to see him watching her with a teasing grin. “I’ve just taken a few AP classes...that’s how I met MiYoung.”
“AP classes,” Jinyoung repeated, holding the rim of his cup just inches from his bottom lip as he smirked. “Why am I not surprised?”
She just blushed, focusing on not spilling her drink as she stirred it with a plastic spoon. She had made this one strong too, taking a sip and almost cringing at the taste. They met eyes over their tipped back cups, both of them simultaneously drinking while Arin tried to keep her face as neutral as possible.
“So, when we talked yesterday, you said you’re majoring in Literature,” Jinyoung set his cup on the counter before gripping the edges of the wood, his head cocked a little to the side as he looked at her. “What’s been your favorite class so far?”
Arin wondered what it was about her that made him want to ask her so many questions. Was he interested in her? Did he just find her amusing?
Did he feel the same… chemistry she did during their meeting just the day before?
“Honestly?” she began, taking another quick sip before continuing. “I absolutely loved linguistics.”
“You’re kidding.”
Jinyoung let out a soft, surprised laugh, eyes on his feet for a moment before they were flicking up to look at her again, sparkling.
“That’s my favorite too. I’m minoring in Linguistics.”
Arin felt her jaw drop, an almost identical laugh to his slipping from her own lips as she looked at him.
“Wait, really?” she asked, genuinely excited as she placed her cup on the counter next to her. “Wow...so, what do you like more? Literature or Linguistics?”
Arin was riding on the liquid courage, her burning curiosity about this guy piqued at this most recent piece of information.
“That’s tough,” Jinyoung answered, smiling so big the corners of his eyes crinkled. “I love to read, but the study of language...it’s interesting, isn’t it?”
“Very,” Arin nodded in agreement, watching him reach for his drink to take another sip.
“I think once you learn about linguistics, it’s hard to talk to people normally,” Jinyoung continued, rolling the liquid around in his cup with a slight twist of his wrist. “You can hear all their inflections, their little habits and you start thinking about the meaning behind all the words people use everyday.”
Arin laughed; ever since her Introductory Linguistics class, she had felt the same way.
“My friends would tease me sometimes,” Jinyoung stared down at the contents of his cup with a small smile. “They’d be talking and all I could hear were the words we were analyzing in class, their meanings and how they relate to the language itself-”
He chuckled as he ran a hand through his hair.
“-I wouldn’t be paying attention, and they’d have to repeat themselves,” he admitted, finally looking up at her through his lashes, nearly making her choke on the air around her. “It drove them nuts.”
“Don’t worry,” Arin was surprised she had a voice at all, let alone a voice that was so steady as she spoke. “I spaced out in conversations long before I knew anything about linguistics. I’m pretty sure Eunmi wants to kill me sometimes.”
“Eunmi?”
“Oh,” Arin giggled at Jinyoung’s raised eyebrows, looking so interested again. “My best friend.”
“The one who sits next to you in class?” he asked, moving closer to her to pour himself another drink. “Kinda tall?”
“That’s her,” she smiled, watching him add a generous amount of alcohol. “We’ve known each other our whole lives.”
His back was to her as he poured his drink, and she was free to look him up and down without any worry of getting caught.
Jinyoung always looked good- it was something that drove Arin crazy, honestly- but tonight he looked extra handsome, so much more casual. A blue plaid button-down shirt rolled up at the sleeves, a white t-shirt underneath with a pair of light-wash skinny jeans, and Jinyoung looked much younger, and somehow sexier this way.
He turned back around, almost catching her in the act, and she quickly brought her cup to her lips, finishing off the little amount of liquid left. Jinyoung was still stirring his drink, thankfully missing her nervous cover-up, only looking at her after throwing the spoon nonchalantly across the kitchen, the plastic utensil landing smoothly into the trash can.
“How did you meet Eunmi?” he asked, leaning against the counter once more, eyes squinting a little as he sipped his drink.
His questions were unnerving; did he really want to hear her whole life story like this? If Arin wasn’t mistaken, she would say the way Jinyoung was looking at her- a permanent smile pulling on the corners of his lips, his eyes on hers, asking her questions to keep the conversation going- she would say the man was actually…
Flirting with her.
The thought had her wanting to grab another drink, opting to grab one of the beers out of the cooler sitting on the island. She bunched her shirt in her hands without thinking, using it to twist the cap off the bottle. Arin watched Jinyoung’s eyes flick down to the exposed skin of her stomach and hips, adam’s apple bobbing up and down for a moment before he was looking at her face once more.
She was a little emboldened by his slip-up, dropping her shirt slowly before taking a long drink of the beer and answering him.
“Eunmi and I were next door neighbors our whole life,” she explained, gripping the bottle with both hands. “Her mom worked a lot, so my mom babysat, and we pretty much grew up together. Me, her, and Jaebum.”
“The guy at your table,” Jinyoung confirmed, seeming to already know the answer. “Is he your other neighbor?”
“My cousin,” she corrected him, wondering if she was delusional when she saw his shoulders relax, if only slightly. “Our moms are sisters and best friends, so he practically lived with me.”
Jinyoung nodded, smiling a little.
“I have two older sisters,” he told her. “I know what he went through, growing up with two girls all the time.”
“Hey, I was fine!” Arin laughed at his subtle teasing, his grin broadening. “It’s Eunmi he was always fighting with! Although…”
She paused, smiling to herself, as she took another sip of her beer.
“What?” Jinyoung laughed, watching her with a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
“It’s nothing,” she shook her head, wondering if she should voice the thoughts she’d been having for a while now out loud, especially to this sexy man who she really didn’t know all that well.
“You sure?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. “It sounds like it’s something.”
Arin was looking at him, the world just a little off kilter as the alcohol started pumping through her veins more steadily. She remembered what she had felt just the day before, like her and Jinyoung were two opposite poles, magnets with a pull to one another. She felt that again, that yank inside of her, as he kept his dark eyes locked with hers.
She couldn’t believe that fifteen minutes ago, she had been standing in that same kitchen alone, fearing running into Jinyoung the most.
She couldn’t believe that he was standing so close to her- one outstretch of her arm, and she’d be brushing her fingers across the smooth skin of his face she was oh so curious about- and he couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off of her.
Arin couldn’t believe that the man she had been fantasizing about for a little over a month was right here with her, alone, keeping the conversation going between them with questions that he was asking, eyes wandering in moments of weakness, dark orbs shining with curiosity and interest.
“You don’t have to tell me.”
She wasn’t sure how long she’d been looking at him- too long she was sure- but he seemed to lose his nerve, smiling at the contents of his cup before taking a long drink. It wouldn’t have been noticeable to most that he lost his nerve; his face was neutral, relaxed even, as he swallowed slowly. But the way his eyes flicked to her, quick but perceptive, made her know he was wondering if she didn’t trust him enough to tell her.
“It’s not that serious, really,” she told him, and he lowered his cup, raising his eyebrows once more. “I just...I think Jae likes Eunmi. I think he always has. And now…”
She took another drink of her beer as she thought for a moment.
“Now I think Eunmi likes him back.”
“You are talking about those two that sit next to you in class, right?” Jinyoung asked, sounding amused. “Everytime I come into class, they’re fighting.”
Arin laughed out loud; so they were that obvious, huh? She thought it was just her.
“Yep,” she answered him simply, finishing off her beer. “That’s definitely them.”
“Sounds healthy,” Jinyoung joked, watching her set the empty bottle on the counter.
“It’s romantic,” Arin argued, smiling at the thought as she dug another beer out of the cooler. “Childhood friends turned lovers. Haven’t you ever seen a romantic movie before?”
She was teasing him, and he laughed at her indignance before taking a long drink out of his cup. Jinyoung’s head was tilted back a little more dramatically now, like he knew she was watching, the smooth expanse of his neck exposed for her as she let her eyes slide across the skin.
Cheeks flushed, she used her shirt once more, waiting until he was done drinking to begin twisting the cap off the beer bottle. His eyes slid down her body, more skin exposed from her lifted shirt than last time as she bit her lip, pretending it was in response to the effort she had to use to open the bottle.
Jinyoung’s eyes were dark as they traveled back up to her mouth, and she saw him shift against the counter before he spoke.
“Want any help?”
“Nope,” the cap popped with a hiss at the perfect moment, and Arin let her shirt drop back into place. “I got it.”
He chuckled under his breath, and she didn’t miss the way he swallowed hard before he ran a hand through his hair.
“Well, just to let you know,” his voice was completely calm, a hint of teasing there as he leaned forward a bit. “I have seen romantic movies before; they’re some of my favorites.”
“Really?” this piqued Arin’s interest, raising her eyebrows at him. “What’s your-”
“WHOOOOOOOOOO!”
They both turned sharply at the noise, a group of six or seven people running into the kitchen, red faced and laughing as they almost collided with the table and chairs. Jinyoung jumped from the counter, almost running into Arin in the process as the group started maneuvering around the kitchen, grabbing various liquor bottles.
“Body shots, right?!”
The guy asking was skinny and gangly, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose as his eyes wandered to one of the girls in the group. She was wearing a pair of shorts and a crop top, pierced belly button fully exposed as she giggled.
“Yes, body shots!” she cried out in delight, making the two girls standing on either side of her crack up laughing.
Arin felt a warm hand wrap around her wrist, and she looked down in surprise, realizing it was Jinyoung, leaning close to talk to her.
“Want to find somewhere we can actually talk?” he asked with a one-sided grin, and his face was so close to hers that she felt her heart jump into her throat.
“Uh, yeah,” it was all she could manage, watching his eyes flick across the features of her face as she answered. “Sure, let’s go.”
His grip tightened on her wrist, but instead of walking forward, he moved towards the whooping crowd.
“Sorry,” he grinned at them as they parted out of the way, looking at him with slight confusion. “Just need this.”
Jinyoung grabbed a large, unopened bottle of Soju before nodding at them all, turning on his heel.
“Just in case we need a refill.”
And then he was winking at her, his smile crinkling the corners of his eyes again as he pulled her along.
All Arin could do was laugh.

Part 4 | Part 5
Eunmi’s eyes immediately slipped closed, the intensity of Jae’s kiss pressing her harder against the wall. She couldn’t think, her body reacting way before her mind could. Lifting her hands, she still needed to steady herself, feeling incredibly off balance as she gripped the fabric of Jae’s shirt, pulling him closer to her on instinct.
His arm bent, elbow hitting the wall with a dull thud as he stumbled closer, lips leaving hers just long enough for him to inhale sharply.
The small sound sent a jolt through her veins, and she leaned forward to quickly close the distance between their lips again. She hummed into the kiss, grip tightening in the fabric of his shirt as she felt his fingers thread through her hair, catching on the messy strands.
Jaebum didn’t seem to care, letting them pull through the tangles in a pleasurable pain that had Eunmi turning her head to the side, deepening their kiss. She finally let go of his shirt, needing to touch him, her curiosity burning like fire just beneath her skin.
Trembling, her hands travelled across his broad chest before she was gripping his shoulders; the ones she’d been secretly admiring for months now, but didn’t want to admit it-
Their lips were moving against one another’s quickly, needy, their heavy breathing mixing together as she let her palms caress the skin of his neck. It was just as smooth and soft as she imagined, her nails scratching lightly before she was snaking her fingers into the hair on the back of his head.
The soft moan in his throat was so quiet she almost didn’t hear it, but she did, and she swallowed hard, at the sound of it. He moved his hand from her hair, dragging slowly and deliberately down her body, fingers ghosting across the exposed skin between her shirt and skirt. The simple move had her breath catching in her throat, lips parting further against his own.
Eunmi turned her head a bit more just as he did the same, their tongues meeting in one hot, smooth movement. He tasted way too good- sharp, like salt- and it was intoxicating. A light hum of approval slipped from her throat before she could help it, just as Jae was dragging his hand farther down her body, reaching the bottom of her short skirt.
She wanted him closer, not understanding why, not caring why, her body and drunken mind taking the wheel, refusing to let her use any restraint.
Eunmi was well aware it was Jaebum, her childhood frenemy, her best friend’s cousin, and even with those thoughts she couldn’t deny the sexual attraction she had to him.
Jaebum was hot, way too sexy for her to resist any longer.
Her hands were leaving the back of his head, and she bit gently on his bottom lip in a moment of bold confidence as she wiggled her fingers under the hem of his shirt. Jae gasped at the bite, forehead falling against hers as she ran her hands along the v-line of his hips.
“Shit, Eunmi,” he breathed against her mouth, body stuttering just slightly at her feather-light touches.
Her brain fizzled, the heat of his words scorching into her veins as she flattened her palms against his lower stomach. His voice was low and quiet like always, but the pleasure was there, laced into every syllable as he pressed his lips hard against hers again. Her hands wandered upwards, a little surprised at the dips and grooves of soft muscle beneath her fingers.
Jae wasn’t fair.
His skin was warm, flushed and sticky with sweat, and she loved it, twisting her hands across his ribs before they were pushing on his back, wanting the heat closer to her than it already was.
Jae’s arm slipped from the wall as he catered to her unspoken demands, just centimeters left between them. Both hands were sliding down her body now, starting at her shoulder, ghosting across her breasts, slipping down her upper ribs until he was at the dip of her waist, fingers pressing gently on the middle of her back.
Eunmi complied, back arching so her body was flush against his. His fingers curled a little into the fabric of her crop top, both of them gasping at the contact before their lips were moving roughly against one another’s once more.
She’d never kissed someone like this before, like if she didn’t, she might not be able to breathe.
His hands were like cool water on her too hot skin, the taste of him more enticing than she could’ve imagined. Eunmi’s stomach was flipping, her chest swelling with emotion she couldn’t explain as she grew impatient with lust that had seemingly come out of nowhere.
Jae was smooth with the movements of his lips and tongue, his sharp inhales telling her she wasn’t the only one affected by this.
And that made it so much hotter, her hands pulling impatiently from his shirt, reaching up to run through that silky hair she loved to look at so much.
He leaned his head back with her rough touch, lips pulling from hers but not going far as she reveled in the softness, looking up to see the disheveled strands falling in random spots on top of his head as they slipped from her fingers.
Eunmi’s eyes darted down to meet his, Jaebum staring at her in clear amazement, mirroring her own feelings.
She couldn’t acknowledge that it was the two of them right now- that it was her and Jae- and he was looking at her like she was something out of a dream. Eunmi was frightened of the way her heart stuttered in it’s beats at the thought, a warm glow on her insides-
“You have nice hair.”
So she spoke the words that came to her mind, watching him chuckle a beat too late, as if just processing her words.
“Thanks.”
They didn’t sound like themselves, both struggling to breathe, their heavy exhales echoing off the bathroom walls. His eyes were dark, nearly black, as he looked down at her. Eunmi could hear the buzzing in her ears, feel the catch in her throat as she spotted that softness in his gaze again, wondering if she was imagining it or not-
She didn’t wait to find out, wasn’t sure she wanted to find out, using her grip on his hair to pull him back to her lips.
Her shoulders fell against the wall, back arched, Jae’s grip in her shirt keeping her body pressed against him. But then his hands were sliding downward, kisses more urgent as they snaked around to her hips. He gripped them hard, taking a couple small steps until her entire body was against the wall again.
Eunmi let him take control, inhaling harshly as she felt one of his hands slide down her skirt, warm fingers slipping beneath the fabric, pushing on her inner thigh to get her to spread her legs.
She wouldn’t dream of arguing with him, moving her legs, hissing when she felt him press his hips against hers, thigh putting pressure in between her legs.
His fingers moved through her hair again as she found herself moving against him slowly, the pressure increasing as she bit on his bottom lip again, a small whine sounding foreign as it slipped from her own throat.
“A-Ah God, Eunmi,” Jae’s whisper was like music to her ears as she released his lip, gripping his shoulders, trying to find leverage.
Her slow movements against him were unsteady in her drunken and overly aroused state, but neither of them seemed to notice, Jae’s lips on the skin just inches from her ear with occasional kisses followed by stuttered, barely controlled exhales. His breath came out in warm whisps, ghosting across the cartilage of her ear, sending shivers down her spine and it had her biting her lip against another embarrassingly needy sound-
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
“Stop it, dumbass, obviously someone’s in there! The light’s on!”
Jae and Eunmi jumped, and she slipped against the wall, his grip on her slackening as he looked over his shoulder with a scowl on his face.
“WellI’vegottapee…”
The words of the other person behind the door were slurred, and the girl was clearly drunk as her fist rapped against the door three more times.
“HELLOOOOOO!!!”
“Jaeunie!” her friend sounded irritated as the knocking abruptly ended. “There’s a bathroom upstairs! We’ll just go there.”
There was some grumbling from Jaeun that Eunmi couldn’t hear, and their voices sounded farther away now as they seemed to be walking away.
A beat of silence followed their interruption before Jae was turning back to her, running a hand through his sweaty hair and taking a small step backwards. Eunmi was still breathing heavily, heart hammering hard in her ears as she stared back at him.
He let his hand fall to his side, the dark strands sticking up in all directions. His lips were slightly swollen, eyes still so dark, face flushed as he seemed to be searching her face, trying to read her...
Even with just inches between them, Eunmi was aching for his body against hers once more, the taste of his lips still lingering on her tongue, not understanding why she wanted him so bad, both of them swallowing hard as they stared at one another-
“Do you want to…”
Jaebum seemed unable to finish the sentence, his voice a little raspy as he continued to stare at her, looking almost scared of her answer.
Eunmi didn’t like seeing him so vulnerable.
“Find a room?”
She couldn’t believe that was her voice, breathy and quieter than usual, the words sounding foreign on her lips as she watched his eyes widen just a fraction more.
“Yes,” Eunmi whispered.
Her answer seemed to kick him into gear, and he quickly grabbed her wrist, yanking her from the wall, as she tripped, laughing a little.
He had his ear to the door, listening for a moment before pulling it open. The entryway was, thankfully empty for the moment, and Jae’s eyes landed on a door next to the staircase just as hers did the same.
He turned to her with raised eyebrows, still looking slightly surprised by her presence, asking without words if she wanted to go in. Eunmi nodded in answer, and he pulled her forward, pushing the door open, both of them stumbling inside before Eunmi was closing it behind them with a loud snap.
She looked behind her, pressing her thumb into the lock, the click of it audible in the small space. Jae’s hand was still holding her wrist as he watched the movement before they both looked around.
The room was small, a study room, with a large desk right in front of them and a futon on the opposite wall. The ceiling was slanted to accommodate the staircase above, and there were no windows.
Jaebum was looking at her again, his expression unreadable now as his grip tightened on her wrist. She bit her lip on instinct and his eyes darted right to it, pausing for a moment before he was pulling her towards him.
Eunmi laughed softly again as she turned ungracefully, and she heard him chuckle under his breath. Her back was to the desk as her wrist slipped from his hand, grabbing his shoulders to keep from toppling over. The world was still spinning, the alcohol traveling with the hot blood of her arousal, heart racing.
They looked at one another, his hands resting automatically on her hips. Their slight smiles were still there, but were fading quickly at the intensity of their gaze. Eunmi’s eyes wandered to his lips, and the sharp pinch of need in her throat had her leaning forward slowly.
As he moved to close the distance between them, his eyes were searching hers, as if waiting for her to stop him.
But Eunmi had no desire to do that.
When Jae didn’t get any resistance, he leaned forward, finally pressing his lips against hers.
The locked door, the privacy of the room, had Eunmi’s mind flying away from her, her hands on his shoulders sliding upward to hook around the back of his neck. She had her fingers in his hair, pulling on the strands and bringing him closer. He was warm, so warm, and she wanted him as close as he’d been against the wall in the bathroom.
It seemed Jae was thinking the same thing, his hands tightening on her hips as he started pushing her backwards. She followed his lead, moving her lips against his, pulling a small exhale from him as her back collided with the desk.
Eunmi broke away, impatiently swiping a cup of pencils and a notebook to the side, both of them crashing to the floor with a loud clatter. Jaebum laughed softly, glancing at her mess while she lifted herself onto the desk's surface. The anticipation of it everything was nearly suffocating her, and she grabbed his shirt again, pulling him forward and hooking her legs around his hips.
Jae looked up with wide eyes, before he was staring down at her legs, running his hands slowly up her thighs and underneath her skirt. She couldn’t take it, the way he was looking at her, like she was the hottest girl he’d ever seen. Her chest was warm again, making her swallow hard as she loosened the grip on his shirt, sliding her hands slowly down the length of his torso. His hands gripped the tops of her thighs, fingers digging into her flesh as she pulled on the hem of his shirt.
She wanted it off.
He knew, taking his hands from her legs and pulling the fabric over his head in one smooth movement.
Eunmi paused, his hands already sliding back up her skirt again, and she subconsciously tightened her legs around his hips.
He was unreal almost to her, his skin smooth and perfect, arms defined, chest and shoulders broad, and sporting a soft set of abs.
Really? Abs?
“Yah, Jae,” Eunmi didn’t have a filter, her voice barely above a whisper as her hands fluttered across his torso. “When did you get so hot?”
She hadn’t meant to ask really, but she was amazed, desire trickling through her like molten lava. He watched the movement of her hands before looking up at her through his lashes, a crooked smile on his face, eyes flicking up and down her body.
“When did you?”
It wasn’t the answer she’d been expecting and she still wasn’t used to the wanton sound of his voice, the flush on her cheeks nearly burning her skin. She shook her head for lack of anything to say, fighting the smile pulling on the corners of her lips. Eunmi grabbed his shoulders, reveling in the strength of them as she pulled him forward, bringing their lips together once more.
That was enough talking for now.
Jae immediately sank into the kiss, his fingers scraping the skin of her thighs as he leaned forward just slightly. Eunmi wanted to taste him, taking her lips from his with a small pop before she was pressing quick pecks against his sharp jawline. He tilted his head to the side instantly, hands sliding farther up her skirt until he was cupping the curve of her ass. She scooted closer to him, legs squeezing around him as she trailed open-mouthed kisses down his neck, the taste of his skin just as salty as his mouth.
His grip on her tightened as their hips pressed against one another, the friction almost too much for Eunmi’s drunk mind to comprehend as she bit on the juncture of his neck and shoulder. A strangled moan slipped from his throat, soft but clear as crystal in the silent room. She glanced up at him, her heart skipping a beat at the way his eyes had slipped closed, lip lodged between his teeth, clear pleasure on every feature of his face.
Eunmi thought she might die.
She quickly bit down again, much harder this time before soothing the skin with a quick swipe of her tongue. He shuddered before rolling his hips against hers, the feeling making Eunmi’s eyes slip closed, a gasp slipping from her lips. She could feel his arousal now, and it sent sparks through her veins, exploding like fireworks-
“Futon,” she practically choked out, lifting her face to look at him, pushing gently on his shoulders. “Let’s go. Please.”
Eunmi couldn’t think straight as she felt his hands slip from her body and she was jumping from the desk. He was staring at her again, expression dark but unreadable as his eyes ran down her body, watching her feet hit the floor.
Her eyes were on his body again, his beautiful torso, the way his jeans sat low on his hips, the waistband of his underwear peeking out, teasing her as if she wasn’t desperate enough already-
Jae shook his head just once, like he was trying to clear it before he was turning around, moving to the navy blue futon. He sat lazily on the cushions, and she walked to him, fully planning on climbing into his lap and running her hands through his hair she loved so much-
But then she was standing right in front of him and he was looking up at her, something glittering in his eyes, the softness in his them sending a thrill to her chest again.
It looked like affection.
His hands were tentatively running up her legs, and he wasn’t looking at her like she was a hot chick or a good lay.
He was looking at her like she was worth something.
Eunmi stared at him, his hands taking her wrists and pulling her towards him, his unwavering gaze making her stomach flip.
Her knees were on either side of his hips, digging into the cushions as she put her weight onto his lap.
It amazed her how comfortable they already were like this.
How was this possible?
If someone would’ve told Eunmi even three hours ago that she’d be sitting on Jaebum’s lap with an unreal desire to kiss him senseless, grinding her hips against his and make him come undone underneath her, she would’ve laughed in their face.
But now it was all she wanted.
She leaned forward, pressing her lips against his, just wanting to feel him again, feel that completeness he was bringing to her that she couldn’t explain to herself.
He kissed her back, the same passion and desire behind the movement, but it was gentler somehow, and she melted into the feeling before she could help it. Eunmi couldn’t believe this was Jae, that he wanted her like this, that his touch on her skin was bringing every nerve in her body to life, begging for more of him-
She leaned forward, hands in his hair, pressing her lips hard against his and scooting her knees farther out so their hips were pressed together. She pulled her mouth away quickly, body rolling into his in a fluid movement that had both of them sighing through heavy breaths.
Jae was pulling on the hem of her crop top, and she raised her arms above her head, letting him pull it off. Then she was impatiently moving to the skin of his neck, tasing the skin there, his hands sliding up her middle, hands cupping her breasts through her bra and squeezing slightly.
She gasped at the feeling, grinding her hips against his again as she let her nails scrape down his upper arms. There was a sharp intake of breath that slipped from his lips, a whisper in the darkness of the room as she moved down the length of his thighs, hands roaming to admire his torso once more.
He was looking at her with those dark eyes again, desire clear on every feature of his face, only fueling the inferno that had spread through her entire body. She maneuvered her shaky legs until she was standing for a second, only to drop down on her knees, flinching a little at the hard floor beneath her.
Eunmi’s hands slid down his stomach before she was moving her fingers to the button on his pants. Jae was watching her every movement with sharp, calculative eyes, breathing a little labored.
She pulled his zipper down impatiently, sliding her hand along his erection. He hissed softly, head flying back as he immediately ran a hand through his hair.
Her eyes widened at his reaction, teasing him for a moment, moving her fingers slowly and deliberately along the length of him. Jae’s bottom lip was back in his mouth, teeth holding it in place hard as he strained his neck. His hips lifted just slightly, and Eunmi decided she was too impatient, moving the fabric quickly out of the way and wrapping her fingers around the base of his dick.
He grunted softly as she moved her hand up and down in one fluid movement. Then she was running her tongue along the underside of his dick without warning, Jae choking just slightly on air at the action.
“Fuck,” he hissed, hips stuttering into her mouth.
She shivered at that, hollowing out her cheeks, covering her teeth with her lips as she took more of his erection into her mouth. Once she was comfortable, she moved her hand up and down to meet her bobbing head, reveling in the labored breathing she could hear coming from him, hard and fast.
Her tongue was rolling along the rim of the head as she moved upwards, sucking slightly as she did so.
There was a hand in her hair, holding the strands tightly as she heard a soft ah come from Jaebum seemingly by accident. She took that as a good sign, smiling a little around him as she moved back down, taking a little more of him in her mouth with each downward stroke, sucking harder as the seconds passed.
“Shit, shit, shit-”
Eummi’s moves stuttered, the desperate sound of his quiet voice almost too much for her to handle. He was usually so reserved, reactions to almost everything pretty neutral, but glancing up, she was seeing a whole new side of him as he arched his back a bit off the futon. His tongue was running along his swollen bottom lip before he was taking it into his mouth again, eyes squeezed shut.
Her body was trembling again, so turned on she could hardly keep going, but she wanted to, picking up the pace with her movements. He was choking again, his hips lifting a little off the cushion as she took almost all of him into her mouth, relaxing her throat and bobbing slowly up and down.
“N-”
Jae’s grip on her hair was painful, but she kind of loved it, figuring he wanted her to keep going. Her jaw was relaxing a little, allowing her to move a bit faster, tongue caressing the length of him as she did so-
“No, No, Eunmi-
She realized he wasn’t just making a mindless noise, he was trying to talk, breathless as he pulled on her hair again.
“Fuck, I’m gonna- You gotta-”
Eunmi stopped, taking her mouth from him slowly, as his grip immediately loosened, body falling limp against the couch. He took a couple even breaths before he was leaning forward, wrapping his hands around her wrists. He pulled her gently forward, and she obliged immediately, climbing back onto the futon, biting her lip as their hips pressed together once more. She rolled against him slowly, the small barrier of her panties barely making a difference as they both hung their heads, eyes squeezed shut at the pleasure.
“Do you want to?”
Eunmi wasn’t sure she would ever be this transparent if she hadn’t drank so much alcohol, but she wanted to make sure they were on the same page. She needed that reassurance from him for reasons she couldn’t explain, and the way he looked at her, eyes wide, cloudy with reciprocated lust, hands running up the length of her legs, she knew he wanted it just as bad she did.
“Only if you do.”
Eunmi could’ve laughed at that; she was so turned on she could hardly see straight.
“Yeah, I do.”
She reached up to fix some hairs on his head that were sticking straight up, and Jae was staring right at her, gaze always so sharp- piercing- like he was looking for something.
But then he was scooting to the right, hands tight on her hips to keep her in place and she giggled unexpectedly at the sudden movement. A small smirk pulled at his lips as he slid out from underneath her and stood next to the futon now, pushing gently on her shoulders.
Eunmi laid down without hesitation, her head hitting the cushion softly before he was leaning forward, running both hands up her legs again, the heat scorching against her flushed skin. He was looking at her with dark eyes as his fingers disappeared beneath the fabric of her skirt, hooking smoothly around the waistband of her panties. He pulled them slowly, and she lifted her hips to help him as they slid easily down her legs.
Jae threw them to the side before pulling down his jeans and underwear in one fluid moment, barely giving her a second to look before he was climbing on top of her. HIs body fell flush against hers, and she sighed loudly at the feeling, arms immediately wrapping around his neck. He was so warm, the heaviness of his body too sexy for words as she felt him use one hand to lift her skirt.
She was shaking with anticipation, his eyes flicking to hers, their gaze more intense than it’d been all night. Eunmi nodded once, knowing he was asking permission, and he closed his eyes for a moment before looking down, one hand in between them to line up at her entrance as the other held his weight, resting beside her head.
Eunmi hissed when he moved his hips against hers, both of them pausing for just a second as she adjusted. It hadn’t exactly been yesterday since she’d had sex, and his forehead hit her shoulder, elbows on the futon as he kept still for her for a moment.
“You okay?” he asked, voice strained.
She nodded, cheek brushing against his hair. Jae hesitated for only a moment before lifting his head, pressing a quick, chaste kiss to her shoulder and slowly starting to move his hips.
He groaned softly in her ear, the sound sending shivers down her spine as she reveled in the full feeling, nails digging into the skin of his back. Jae sighed softly at that, movements a little faster as she let out a light mewl of delight.
Eunmi’s head was digging into the cushion, eyes squeezed shut as the pleasure spread through her body, breaths coming out shorter as Jae increased his rhythm-
“Shit, Eunmi,” he breathed, voice cracking a little as his hands slid unsteadily on the cushion. “Good God...”
Jae’s head was back on her shoulder and she was running her fingers through his hair on instinct, pulling on the strands a little as she felt him bite gently on her skin.
Eunmi moaned louder than she meant to as he angled his hips differently, the feeling unexpectedly wonderful, and his breathing increased at the sound. She lifted her hips to meet his, and she saw his fingers curl slightly into the cushion as she did so.
It was all too sexy, felt too good now, and the build-up from all their earlier activities had her body wound tight; she could already feel the pool of warmth in her lower stomach.
Jae was moaning in her ear once more as he rolled his hips again, the sound soft and just for her, and that somehow made it that much more arousing. She was biting on her lip, pulling his hair harder than she meant to as the pressure below was almost becoming too much.
“Oh my God,” Eunmi whined before she could stop it, arching her back a little at the white hot pleasure spreading steadily through her body. “J-Jae, I-”
What was she saying? She wasn’t really sure, her body tensing at what was to come. Her fingers slackened in his hair, scraping down his back again as she paid attention to the way he felt, warm and strong above her with strangled breaths, forehead still on her shoulder.
“Eunmi-”
He didn’t say anything else, but the intensity was there, palpable and suffocating between them. She was gripping him harder, the soft skin of his back completely wrecked by her digging fingernails. His teeth were on her shoulder again, another strained groan tearing from his throat, the movements of his hips just a little more sporadic than before-
Eunmi knew Jae was close too, his pleasure turning her on more than she could explain as the sharpness of his teeth sent another shot of pleasure through her system.
It was hot, too hot in the small room, both of them slick with sweat, but she couldn’t care less as she held him close.
“Fuck, Fuck-” Jae didn’t sound like he had any control over what he was saying, body weight slipping as he continued to move against her. “I- shit-”
And then his forehead fell harshly against her shoulder as he groaned louder than he had all night, finally finding his release, rolling his hips to ride it out. The sound of Jae coming undone like that was enough to tip Eunmi over the edge as well, and she was arching off the cushion, fingers sliding on his slick skin.
She pressed her lips together, muffling the cry in her throat as she lifted her head, burying her nose into Jae’s shoulder. His body was on top of her more completely, white spots popping up behind her eyelids as she kept her arms tight around him like a lifeline.
Eunmi whimpered as she finally came down, head falling hard against the cushions, nothing but the sound of their mingled breathing and her steady heartbeat in her ears.
They were both quiet for a moment, Jae pulling out and making them both cringe before he was resting his cheek on the spot right below her shoulder, breaths ghosting across her skin.
“You okay?”
He was asking her again, and she tilted her head to look down at him, eyes still a little glazed over as she ran her fingers absentmindedly down his back.
“Yeah,” she breathed, watching his eyes slip closed at her touch. “Yeah, that was…”
But she didn’t have words to describe it, something bubbling in her chest as she watched him rest more completely against her shoulder, eyes still closed. His face was relaxed, body fully resting on top of hers and almost constricting her breathing, but she couldn’t bring herself to care too much at that moment.
Jae seemed to realize though, popping an eye open lazily, using his hands to push some of his weight off of her.
“Let’s flip over.”
Eunmi almost whined at the loss of his body heat, so content to lay like that forever, but she stood up anyway, watching him sit up a little. Then he was pulling a blanket from the back of the futon and unfolding it with a flick of his wrist and handing it to her before collapsing onto his back on the navy blue cushion.
She swished the blanket over her shoulders like a cape, immediately climbing on top of him, wanting his warmth back.
The silence was comfortable, both still in the afterglow of what had just happened, her cheek immediately resting on his chest. Jae adjusted the blanket that had slipped just a bit, his hands resting on her back for a moment. Then he was reaching up, fingers ghosting across the skin of her forehead as he brushed her hair back from her face.
She stretched her neck to look at him, watching him lift his head to meet her gaze. They stared at one another for a moment before he smiled, the gesture sending a warm stutter through her body.
She found herself grinning back, feeling so incredibly warm as he turned away to stare at the ceiling, smile still on his face, letting his head drop down once more.
Eunmi couldn’t find anything to say, feeling too content to speak at that moment. Jae seemed to feel the same, his fingers moving lazily through her hair, and her eyes slipped closed at the feeling.
The warmth was too soothing, the sound of Jae’s steady heartbeat too comforting, and before she could think about anything but the the snuggly blanket on her back and the way Jae’s body seemed to fit perfectly beneath hers, she was slipping quickly into sleep.

Lila immediately recognized the first one- Felix, the sunshiney one in her group- with Changbin following behind him, a much sillier demeanor about him than what they’d seen in his picture.
“Alright, this is Felix and Changbin,” Bam introduced them just as the two incubi sat in the chairs across from the girls. “Guys, this is Maddie and Lila.”
Maddie could tell they weren’t the strongest incubi, but there was a certain glow about them that told her they weren’t all the way human either, their good looks, perfect skin, and relaxed demeanors giving them a supernatural aura.
Changbin leaned forward a little in his seat, smiling somewhat flirtily at both of them.
“Hello,” he said simply. “Nice to meet you.”
“Hi,” Felix was smiling too and Lila thought she might die; how could an incubus be so cute? “Yeah, it’s good to finally meet you.”
He was bowing, and Changbin glanced over before doing the same, lifting quickly and grinning at Maddie.
“You won’t have to worry about me at all,” he told her confidently, leaning back in his seat. “I’m the most mature one in your group.”
Maddie was amused, her eyes wandering up and down his figure curiously- she could tell he was an incubus, there was something alluring about him despite the bravado- but while he was the oldest in her group, something made her doubt he was the most mature.
“Really?” she replied playfully, sorting through her stack of profiles and pulling his out. “Well that’s good to know.”
“The only thing you’ll need to worry about is how many girls I bring in-”
Felix laughed loudly, whacking Changbin playfully over the head, the man putting his hands up quickly.
“I’m just kidding, I’m just kidding-”
“If you guys need help with anything let me know,” Felix’s voice was deep as he spoke, contradicting his soft appearance as his eyes lingered on Lila’s. “I know our schedules can be a bit hectic; we’re just happy to have you guys.”
“Thank you Felix,” Lila felt very grateful she’d gotten him in her group, and his smile brightened a little. “I appreciate it.”
“Oh it says you’re the lead dancer and a rapper?” Lila looked up from the paper, smiling again at the man.
“Your voice is so deep!” Maddie commented excitedly. “I bet you sound badass.”
“Oh no,” Felix was blushing a little as he shook his head quickly, immediately pointing to the man beside him. “Changbin’s the cool one; you should hear him. He produces a lot of the songs, too.”
“Oh yeah, it says rapper and producer,” Maddie read from her own profile before glancing at the man. “So you’re the cool one and the mature one?”
It was surprisingly easy to feel comfortable around Changbin, even despite the fact that they’d just met and Maddie wondered if that was his incubus power; making people comfortable.
“I mean…” he seemed somewhat shy, but he was smiling proudly, shrugging a little.
“So, you produce with…” Maddie couldn’t remember the name, turning to Lila. “What’s your level three’s name?”
“Chan,” the younger replied instantly.
“Right,” Maddie nodded, turning back to Changbin. “You and Chan make the music?”
“And Han-” the man turned to Lila with a mischievous grin. “You’ll have to watch out for him, he’s a troublemaker.”
Felix just laughed but didn’t deny it, so Lila thought there might be some truth to that.
Great, she thought bitterly.
“So you have a Munchlax pillow named Gyu you can’t sleep without,” Maddie asked with a raise of her eyebrows, glancing up from Changbin’s profile to look at him. “Good to know…”
Lila laughed a little and so did Felix, his cheeks going slightly pink when they made brief eye contact before he was turning to the other two once more.
“It’s for good luck!” Changbin insisted, looking embarrassed. “Without it, bad things happen to me.”
Maddie was still giggling as Lila skimmed Felix’s profile, stopping towards the bottom.
“You do taekwondo?” she asked the younger, watching him smile with a slight nod. “That’s pretty cool.”
“I mean, I did it mainly when I was younger,” he told her honestly. “It helps a lot with dancing though-”
The door to the office suddenly opened and Bam’s head was poking in again- when had he left?- smiling at the four of them.
“Ready for the next two?”
The two men instantly stood from their chairs, smiling again at the girls and bowing together.
“See you soon,” Changbin said to Maddie, and she wasn’t sure if his smile was always flirty or if he was doing it on purpose.
“Nice talking to you,” Felix said politely, grinning at Lila. “I guess we’ll be seeing each other later.”
Lila giggled, and they waved at the two before they exited the room, Bam letting them know he’d be sending the next incubi in a moment.
“I am so jealous you got Felix,” Maddie said the second the door shut.
“Changbin seems nice,” Lila said consolingly, glancing at his profile on the desk.
“I mean, yeah, but...” she laughed a little. “Something tells me he’s gonna be a pain in the-”
The door opened again and two more men walked in, their demeanors completely different from the first two.
Maddie knew who they were right away- Han Jisung, the one Changbin had just warned them about and Lee Minho, Lila’s other level three.
Both Lila’s, Maddie thought to herself, watching them sit down.
“This is Minho and Jisung-” Bam began.
“You can call me Han,” the younger interrupted, smiling charmingly at both of them. “It’s easier.”
Bam chuckled before continuing.
“This is Maddie and Lila.”
“Wow,” Han was a talker, Lila could already tell, in complete contrast to Minho, who hadn’t said a word since they’d both sat down. “I didn’t realize they were hiring such hot managers now-”
“Han!” Bam exclaimed in the background, the man covering his mouth to keep from bursting out laughing.
“Sorry, sorry-”
Han didn’t look sorry at all, his eyes darting to Maddie for a moment before moving to Lila, looking her obviously up and down.
“-but really, how old are you exactly?”
Minho moved for the first time, smiling slightly as he hit Han over the head rather hard, the younger yelping in protest.
“You don’t just ask women that kind of question.”
Lila could feel the slight heat in the air from their presence, but it increased a little when Minho leaned forward, smiling gently at the two of them.
“So you guys are young, right?” he asked casually, and if Maddie didn’t know before, she knew now that this guy was definitely a level three; he was weirdly mesmerizing to look at. “You have to be, because you're way too lovely to be in your forties like the other managers-”
“You’re saying the same thing-” Han protested, but Minho completely ignored him.
“I’m twenty eight,” Maddie pointed to herself, before motioning to Lila. “She’s twenty three.”
“Well, listen, you don’t have to worry about me,” Han reminded Lila of Changbin a little as he leaned back in his seat, smiling devilishly at her. “Might have to send multiple girls up to my room for the night, but-”
And Lila saw it for the first time in all her encounters with incubi this past week; the flicker of bright, neon purple that flashed across his eyes.
“I assure you, I can handle it.”
Maddie and Lila exchanged looks- so Changbin was definitely right to warn them.
“I’m just kidding guys, really,” Han was laughing a little, leaning his elbows on the desk.
“I think I’ll be fine without a manager, honestly,” Minho said matter-of-factly, shrugging as he looked at Lila. “I’ve been going this long without one so… you really don’t need to bother with me at all.”
She couldn’t tell if he was just independent or if he didn’t want a manager, Minho’s face completely unreadable as he started fixing his shirt, pulling his eyes from Lila’s.
“Okay…”
She felt slightly uncomfortable, glancing at Maddie who was still watching Han with amusement. Grabbing her papers, Lila started with the younger’s profile first, reading it over quickly.
“Okay Han, so you produce music with Changbin and Chan and you’re a rapper, too,” she said.
“Yep,” he replied proudly.
“And you…” she glanced up. “Like cheesecake?”
He legitimately laughed at that, shaking his thick hair out of his eyes before answering.
“Yeah,” he replied. “It’s my favorite.”
“Okay,” Lila was smiling, filing the information away for later- she would be doing some of the cooking after all.
Han was still looking at her, his eyes grazing up and down her figure again so boldly she felt her cheeks burn a little, hurriedly moving to Minho’s profile.
Maddie saw the whole thing, pressing her lips together to keep from laughing; Han was going to be a handful.
“Minho, you’re a dancer and a vocal-”
He nodded simply, eyes darting from his lap to meet hers.
“-and you were a backup dancer for BTS?”
He smiled just slightly, nodding again but not saying anything at all.
There was a moment of awkward silence before Han was leaning forward, resting his fingers gently on top of Lila’s hand.
“I really think you’re going to be great; I feel lucky to have you.”
Immediately, there was familiar warmth spreading up the length of her arm, and she raised her eyebrows in surprise, seeing the flicker of purple flash again across Han’s eyes.
“Okay-”
Minho leaned forward, grabbing Han’s shoulder and pulling him back, his hand slipping from Lila’s.
“-that’s enough flirting for you-”
The door to the office opened once more, and Bam’s eyes darted instantly to the guys.
“I’m sending the next ones in.”
They both stood from their chairs, Minho fixing his jeans before smiling politely at both of them, bowing once and moving towards the office door. Han lingered slightly, grinning as his eyes darted to Maddie for only a moment before stopping at Lila again.
“Nice to meet you.”
Then he winked, Maddie giggling before she could help it as Lila felt her cheeks warm again, Han turning on his heel and making his way out of the office.
Maddie’s giggles escalated to full on hysterics when the door closed, Lila laughing as well, still staring in Han’s direction in surprise.
“Holy crap,” Maddie said, wiping some tears from her eyes. “Wow, good luck with that Jisung guy, Lila, Changbin was right. Hey, but he was kind of hot though, did you see his hair-?”
“You know, I think incubi have super hearing,” Lila said calmly, watching the girl’s eyes widen in shock, smile dropping.
“Wait what?”
Lila snorted a little.
“Just kidding!”
“Dammit bestie!” Maddie giggled, going to shove her when the door opened again, two younger looking guys walking inside.
“I’ll just wait out here,” Bam was still standing in the doorway, pointing at each quickly. “Jeongin and Seungmin. Guys, that’s Maddie and Lila.”
Then he was shutting the door behind him, putting his phone to his ear, and Lila wondered if he was talking to Mr. Kim again.
Maddie didn’t know why Bam bothered with introductions when they had the profiles right in front of them; plus, there was no way she wouldn’t remember Jeongin.
Her just-turned-twenty level three.
She watched as they both sat down before bowing a little, waving and smiling politely.
“Hello,” Lila smiled kindly back at them.
“Hi,” Maddie waved back.
Seungmin was just as adorable as his profile picture had promised, with the subtle good looks of someone who clearly wasn’t human and an eagerness in his eyes that told Maddie he was much more excited to meet them than maybe some of the others had been.
Jeongin seemed shyer- quieter- but he was sitting in the chair right across from Maddie, and even though his expression was only politely attentive, there was an odd draw to him she could feel in the air between them.
She wondered if Lila could feel that, too.
“I’m happy to have a manager,” Seungmin spoke up first, grinning at Maddie. “It’ll be a lot easier to keep everything organized.”
Jeongin glanced at him, nodding in agreement before turning back to her; she wished he wouldn’t.
“If you need anything though, I can help,” Seungmin continued with a slight air of bossiness that amused both girls.
Lila saw Jeongin glance at Seungmin again, looking just as entertained as they were before his eyes were back on Maddie. The older seemed to notice this too, hurriedly digging through their files as if nervous, but Lila couldn’t exactly blame her; there was something oddly dangerous about Jeongin.
He was definitely a level three with seemingly less control over his aura than Minho seemed to have.
Or he’s not controlling it on purpose, the younger thought to herself.
“So… you’re both vocals,” Maddie read from her papers, glancing up for only a moment and smiling as they nodded together. “Okay…”
She was feeling a little jumpy- why was Jeongin so handsome? And why didn’t she feel that weird pull with Minho if he was a level three, too?
“You’re the cleanest in the group, Seungmin?” she started with him first, watching him chuckle a little before nodding.
“Yeah probably,” he admitted. “I just don’t like a lot of mess.”
Jeongin was nodding in agreement again before Maddie was getting to his profile.
“And Jeongin, you-”
He turned back to her and for the briefest of moments she thought she saw purple flash across his eyes, but no, that had to be a trick of the light-
“-you like all food but beans,” even despite the weird energy in the air, she giggled at this, making note if she ever cooked anything.
“Yeah,” he laughed too, glancing at his lap before looking at her again somewhat sheepishly.
“Okay, I’ll keep that in mind,” she replied, wondering how he could look so innocent and yet…
“Ready?”
Bam had thrown the door open, seeming almost in a hurry as all four of them turned to look at him.
“Yeah,” Lila was nodding, glancing at Maddie for confirmation. “Just finished up, actually.”
Maddie was nodding too, and the guys got up together, smiling and waving once more.
“It was really nice to meet you,” Seungmin told her.
“Yeah,” Jeongin sounded shy again, but his eyes were not as they lingered on hers for a second. “We’ll see you soon.”
Then they were turning around and heading out the door, Lila glancing at Maddie as she stared after them, looking slightly worried.
“Well, Seungmin seems like he’s going to be really helpful,” Maddie said, stacking her profiles and feeling fidgety. “I guess I’ve got myself a little Felix after all…”
Lila giggled, thinking Seungmin seemed a little more know-it-all than Felix, but it was adorable, and she was glad her best friend had someone. But the other…
“Yeah but Jeongin…” she said carefully. “He seems a bit… dangerous.”
And Maddie knew she wasn’t saying he was scary; just that he was the strongest one they’d encountered so far, even if Minho was a level three.
“Yeah…” Maddie muttered, pulling out Hyunjin’s profile. “I know.”
Lila grimaced before the door was opening again and the last two incubi walked in, the air feeling immediately like it was sucked right from her lungs.
His picture, it hadn’t done Chan justice, so handsome it was hard for her to remain casual as both guys walked in the room, sitting down quickly, the older picking the chair directly across from her.
Maddie was having a difficult time keeping her mouth from hanging open as she stared openly at Hyunjin, like she had no control over her eyes at all, watching him sit gracefully into the chair across from her, only glancing in her direction for a second before fiddling with the bracelets on his wrist.
“Hello, I’m Chan.”
Chan was smiling brightly at both of them and leaning forward to rest his arms on the table, bringing him that much closer to Lila. She could feel her cheeks burning, the air surrounding him like nothing she’d experienced with anyone so far, not even that Jinyoung guy in their interview, a sort of static electricity about it that felt like if they were to touch, they just might shock one another.
“Hello,” Maddie replied right back, tearing her eyes from Hyunjin to smile at the man. “I’m Maddie.”
She realized Bam hadn’t even bothered to introduce anyone this time, but really, there was no need.
“Hi,” Lila’s voice was softer and weaker than she wanted it to be as she raised a single hand to wave. “Lila.”
Hyunjin glanced up again, his eyes flickering to Lila for a second before moving to Maddie, looking almost bored.
“Hyunjin,” he told them, voice polite and wave friendly, contradicting his demeanor before he was fiddling with his shirt next, crossing one leg over the other.
“I didn’t realize my manager was going to be so pretty.”
Maddie’s eyebrows raised in surprise, watching her best friend turn bright red at Chan’s words. She couldn’t understand how the man could say something so borderline corny and yet make it sound like such a natural compliment.
Must be a level three thing, she thought to herself.
“Thanks.”
Lila grabbed Chan’s profile for something to do with her hands, feeling almost shaky as her eyes quickly darted along the page.
“Okay, Chan, so-” she swallowed as he looked right at her, only locking eyes for a moment before her gaze was quickly moving to the paper again, stomach swooping. “-so you’re the leader. And… you do everything it looks like?”
Chan chuckled a little, seeming shy about it.
“I produce a lot of the music with Han and Changbin; they definitely help. I couldn’t do it without them.”
“Yeah, they told me,” Lila was nodding one too many times, surprised she could talk at all. “That’s really awesome that you do all that…”
Chan looked charmed, smiling again with just a hint of flirtation that had Lila’s heart skipping a beat, watching him shrug a little.
Maddie was glancing at Hyunjin again, an odd stutter in her chest because wow he was beautiful; like a work of art, and she’d never thought that about a person before. He seemed to sense her gaze, glancing up with a slightly raised eyebrow, freezing her in place when his eyes met hers before going right back to messing with the rings on his fingers.
He seemed… annoyed.
“Don’t worry about me too much when you’re doing all your management stuff,” Chan told Lila kindly. “I’ve been in the business for a while- nine years, actually- so I can really take care of myself; worry about the others.”
“Me too.”
It was the first time Hyunjin had spoken since he said his name, his eyes darting up to meet Maddie’s again as he continued.
“I really don’t need a manager at all…” Lila watched his gaze wander up and down Maddie’s face for a moment before speaking again. “Or emergency back-up. It’s fine.”
The older was temporarily speechless, not only from his wandering eyes, but the bold rudeness of his words.
It was different when Minho had said it- he just seemed independent- but Hyunjin…
Even past the intoxicating haze the man’s presence seemed to bring, she could also feel the coldness there; he did not want anything to do with her.
“Fine,” she said somewhat snippily, flicking the profile in her hand harder than necessary as she read it quickly. “So you’re a rapper and the lead dancer?”
Hyunjin nodded, and she didn’t wait for him to speak; she knew he wouldn’t anyway.
“And you…” her eyes darted along the page. “Don’t like vegetables?”
She raised her eyebrows in slight amusement at that; how old was he again?
“Nope,” he was still looking at her, but Maddie was bristling at the pure arrogance of his tone.
“Then how do you- I mean-” she chuckled a little, dropping the profile onto the desk. “-how are you supposed to get all your nutrients and stuff?”
Lila pressed her lips together, watching Hyunjin smile for the first time- a one-sided grin that she was sure would knock any girl off her feet, Maddie included, as he shifted in his chair.
“I have my ways.”
Maddie watched as his eyes turned distinctly purple for a half-second before he was adjusting his shirt, taking his gaze from hers and unfreezing her body, which had gone rigid at the look on his face.
Lila took pity on her best friend- things were getting slightly awkward- hurriedly glancing back at Chan’s paper.
“So Chan, you-”
But Chan- who’d been watching the exchange between Hyunjin and Maddie- had turned back to look at her, and Lila tripped over her own words, reading the first thing she saw on the page.
“-your hair is naturally curly?”
Maddie tried not to laugh, knowing there’s no way her best friend meant to read that out loud.
Chan did laugh, seeming completely entertained by Lila as he ran a quick hand through his hair.
“Yeah,” he replied, grinning at her. “The only one in the family, too. No idea how that happened…”
Lila was giggling and Maddie could see that smile again on Chan’s face- something slightly flirtatious that might kill her best friend at any moment.
But then she saw a movement out of the corner of her eye and Hyunjin was glancing at her again, quickly looking away as if he hadn’t meant to-
The door swung open rather quickly, making all of them jump as Bam hurried in the room, smiling apologetically.
“Sorry guys, time is moving fast, doesn’t it feel like?” he seemed slightly stressed, chuckling as he shook his head. “Anyway, the truck’s outside with all your things so you can start moving in-”
“Oh okay,” Chan was standing up quickly, Hyunjin following his lead. “Thanks Bam, we were pretty much done anyway.”
He grinned at both of them, eyes lingering on Lila’s, a jolt running through her system like electricity. Hyunjin waved, only looking at Maddie for a second before he was the first out the door.
“I’m gonna meet the truck driver,” Bam pointed over his shoulder, already backing towards the door. “Be right back.”
He left quickly, shutting the door behind him, and for a moment it was dead quiet, both girls taking a second to recover.
“We are so screwed,” Maddie said weakly, finally turning to look at Lila.
The younger started giggling, nodding in fervent agreement.
“Oh my gosh, I know-” there was an odd giddiness in her chest, even as the air began to clear, the incubi energy drifting from the room. “What the… no wonder Chan’s a level three, he’s just… he’s…”
But Maddie realized her best friend wasn’t going to come up with any words, and she couldn’t say she blamed her, watching her cheeks go tomato red.
“He was pretty amazing,” she agreed, laughing a little. “So charming… he probably has no issue getting girls. Or I guess… feeding partners.”
They exchanged a look at that, before Maddie was glaring at the door, eyebrows furrowing a little.
“He was a hell of a lot nicer than Hyunjin,” she said bitterly. “What the hell, dude? If he doesn’t want a manager so bad, why did he become an idol?”
“Um, they actually don’t have a choice, bestie,” Lila pointed out, smiling a little. “They have to be managed in some way according to law-”
“Okay, okay yeah, but… ugh,” the older ran a hand through her messy hair. “He’s annoying isn’t he? I don’t care how pretty he is, his bad attitude makes him undesirable, which is good ‘cause I’ve already got enough on my plate with Jeongin over there-”
Lila smiled to herself, thinking there was no way Hyunjin was undesirable, but understood where Maddie was coming from.
“-he was kind of rude, don’t you think?” she went on, glaring at the door angrily. “I mean, at least Minho was a little nicer about not wanting a manager, you know? Hyunjin was just- it was like he was all high-and-mighty about it. ‘Oh I don’t need a manager or emergency back-up’, yeah well, I didn’t want you either, Hyunjin, but here we are-”
Lila snorted with laughter just as Bam came bursting back through the door, slightly out of breath.
“Oh my god, sorry-” he moved to the chairs in front of the desk, picking the one in front of Maddie and collapsing into it with a grin. “-I’m so bad with time, didn’t even realize it’s been like, an hour-”
He glanced at the papers still scattered across the desk before looking between them.
“So, how did it go?” he asked brightly. “You guys doing alright? I know the level threes can be…”
He trailed off, and Lila thought of Chan again, shivering a little.
He was definitely going to be a problem.
“It was fine,” Maddie replied, still looking slightly irritated. “Most of them were pretty nice, actually.”
Bam nodded before getting up from his chair again, moving to grab the box of serums he'd set on the ground earlier. He lifted it up quickly and set it on the desk.
“Okay, so here’s all the serums, and the guys have a box with them as well in case they need it, like I said earlier,” he told them quickly. “Text me if you guys ever need more; I’ll ship them straight to this house.”
Maddie and Lila nodded together as Bam pushed the box to the side, pointing towards the slightly crumpled papers underneath.
“Oh whoops, sorry I’ll print you new ones-” he laughed a little, cringing a bit at the pages. “But those profiles have their individual schedules in them- you know, dance lessons, vocal coaching, things like that- so make sure you hold onto them...”
The man looked thoughtful, as if trying to make sure he’d said everything.
“Right, and once a month, I’ll be sending you the group schedules for everyone- they’ve got an album coming out next week actually- and that’ll tell you when they have interviews, performances, things like that.”
The girls nodded again, glancing at one another with identical expressions; they were nervous, yes, but also kind of excited.
It was a whole new world.
“So!” Bam clapped his hands together. “Any questions?”
Maddie looked over the wrinkled profiles while Lila’s eyes wandered to the feed-tracking charts before they were both looking at the man; to be honest, everything seemed pretty straightforward.
“I don’t think so,” Maddie said with a shake of her head, Lila nodding in agreement.
“Awesome. Well, you know where your rooms are, so you can start moving in whenever you’re ready,” he told them. “And honestly, I’m happy for you guys…”
Bam beamed at both of them, shoving his hands into his pockets.
“I think this is going to be a really good fit.”

“Holy… are you serious?”
Maddie’s eyes were wide as she stared at Lila, the two of them sitting in the library together, the younger describing her entire night with Chan, moment by moment.
“So you- and your veins glowed?!”
She was fascinated- she’d known incubi were supernatural, but wow- Lila giggling at her enthusiasm.
“Yes, and then my hair was all up in the air… It was like Beauty and the Beast!”
Maddie laughed, watching her best friend run a hand through her hair.
“And now you’re…” she trailed off, Lila nodding slowly.
“Yeah,” she replied. “Now we’re bonded.”
They were quiet for a moment, Maddie still smiling because she just couldn’t get over how happy she was for both of them.
She didn’t think she’d ever met two people more perfect for one another than Chan and Lila.
“Is it weird?”
“It’s so weird,” Lila said excitedly. “Look-”
She blinked her eyes a couple times, and when she opened them again, they were bright blue, Maddie jumping in surprise.
“What the-?” she laughed again. “He turned you into a succubus?!”
“That’s what I said!” Lila blinked again, grinning as her eyes shifted back to green. “But no, it’s just… an effect I guess. Since the color means love, it sort of… comes and goes when I think about him. Or see him…”
She trailed off, the blue flickering again before it was gone, Maddie pressing her lips around another smile.
“So…” she asked mischievously. “How was the sex?”
She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, Lila rolling her eyes even as her cheeks started turning red.
“It was…” she paused, eyes shining. “Literally amazing…”
“I bet,” Maddie said with a giggle. “Was it like- Did it feel different?”
“I mean…” Lila was smiling demurely. “Yeah.”
Her best friend spent the next several minutes recounting every single detail, Maddie staying mostly quiet, just listening, totally engrossed in the story.
“-and he can be like, as rough with me as he wants,” Lila added, still looking a little amazed. “It doesn’t… It doesn’t hurt, it’s like it only makes it better.”
“Whoa,” Maddie nodded, impressed. “I’m jealous. That sounds fucking awesome…”
“It was…”
Lila trailed off, expression content and happy, and when she looked back at Maddie, her eyes were shining again.
“I knew I liked him a lot, even loved him,” Lila admitted softly. “But I didn’t know until that moment just how… in love I really was.”
Maddie grinned.
“Yeah bestie, I think I could’ve told you that…”
Lila smiled, hitting Maddie lightly with the pillow in her lap as both of them giggled.
“No, but honestly… this is so great,” Maddie said sincerely. “You guys… you really deserve each other…”
Lila looked a little shy, tucking her hair behind her ears.
“Thanks Maddie.”
But she was still smiling, all pink cheeks and messy hair when her eyes met Maddie’s once more.
“So…”
“Your eyes are blue-”
“Oh, right-”
Maddie giggled as her best friend blinked a couple times, her eyes fading back to green.
“It’s so tricky to control,” she admitted with a laugh. “I get why the guys have such a hard time. Anyway. Did you… happen to talk to Hyunjin last night?”
Maddie’s eyes darted from Lila’s, and she swallowed hard.
“Nope,” she replied bitterly, popping the “p” sound.
When she looked at the younger again, Lila’s smile was fading a little, eyes darting between her own.
“I’m sorry, bestie.”
And Maddie was looking away again, messing with a loose string on her comforter, the empathy on the girl’s face bringing a small lump to her throat.
It had been almost four days, and Maddie had no idea how much she would miss him.
Hyunjin’s stupid smirky face and annoying, know-it-all quips to everything she said.
The way he made her laugh- the kind of laughing that had her gasping for air- and his touch upon her skin…
Against all odds, Hyunjin made her happy.
And these last few days without him had only made her reluctantly all too aware of it.
Even worse, being without Hyunjin wasn’t the only thing preoccupying Maddie’s mind…
Jeongin
She was still thinking about that hug they’d shared yesterday next to the coffee machine. How she’d held him tighter than she’d meant to- how, honestly, she hadn’t planned on hugging him at all…
How the urge had struck anyway, when Jeongin had been kind to her as always, an understanding in his eyes that broke her heart so much, she could hardly bear to see it-
And when she had hugged him, she hadn’t just been saying sorry; letting him know she still adored him and wanted him around…
But in a way- it felt like she’d also been saying goodbye…
“It’s okay.”
She waved everything away quickly, not wanting to spend another minute thinking about this mess. Lila had come to her with great news, and- to be perfectly honest- Maddie was more than happy to focus on that instead.
“I’m not raining on your parade with this middle school drama,” she joked, grinning and hopping up from the bed.
“Okay…” the other replied, sounding hesitant.
“Let’s go get some coffee,” Maddie insisted, motioning for Lila to follow her, moving towards the door. “ We can celebrate!”
Lila agreed with a nod, and together they walked out of the room, heading to the kitchen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that day, Maddie and Lila found themselves hanging out in the living room, a majority of the guys in there with them.
They’d spent that morning drinking coffee like Maddie had suggested, and- this being day two of everyone’s much-deserved vacation- they’d all been lounging around for hours.
Maddie was sitting between Seungmin and Jeongin on the big sofa, playing the mobile game they’d gotten her oh so addicted to-
“Aw, Seungmin, why did you-?”
“I know, I know,” he cut her off before she could keep complaining, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. “I’m getting some health now.”
Jeongin chuckled on her other side, and when their eyes met, Maddie smiled for a moment before looking back at her game.
She felt slightly awkward; after all, they’d literally made out just two nights ago, Jeongin had made his feelings even more conclusive, and Maddie had yet to give him any sort of response…
Just a cryptic hug in the kitchen, and her pulling back to look at him…
And Jeongin’s expression telling her he might already know her answer.
Yet, he was still there sitting beside her, playing this game as if nothing had happened at all, and Maddie wasn’t sure if she should be feeling guilty or not.
Either way, she still definitely did.
She glanced up from her phone, looking around the room at everyone else.
Felix and Changbin were sitting side by side on the floor, sharing a package of Oreos and silently watching whatever movie was on TV, while Han and Minho were leaning against Seungmin’s legs, and- mainly Han- was making tons commentary.
Lila and Chan were together on the love seat, arms pressed together as if they were purposely trying not to cuddle- too much PDA- but they might as well have been, because the aura around them was so…
Love.
It was the kind of thing you could feel now, when you walked into a room with them; affection, fondness, contentedness.
And Maddie was so happy for Lila that it really helped with everything else…
Like the fact that Hyunjin was nowhere to be found.
Her stomach twisted a little as Maddie’s eyes darted back to her game, watching her small avatar zoom across the battlefield.
Maddie knew Hyunjin wasn’t there because of her; that if she wasn’t in that living room right now, Hyunjin would be sitting where she was, his own phone out to join them in the game, laughing at Seungmin’s frustration and Jeongin’s silent stealth.
She knew there wouldn’t be a weird emptiness that always came when one of them was missing and maybe the room would be a little less quiet.
It’s his choice, Maddie reasoned with herself. You never told him he couldn’t be here.
But her own thoughts didn’t make her feel any better, and her mind was starting to wander again, wondering…
Maybe it was time she tried talking to Hyunjin.
She knew she made him angry, and she knew he’d been going out of his way to not be near her- giving the very clear message of leave me alone- but Maddie wasn’t one to always listen to requests, and maybe this drama had gone on long enough.
Maybe she needed to be the bigger person here and just say something, before they went so long without talking that it became the new norm-
“Hey.”
Maddie was instantly startled, dropping her phone in her lap before quickly picking it back up, an immediate jolt in her chest-
Hyunjin
It’s like he’d known she was thinking about him.
His arrival surprised everyone, and Maddie looked over automatically, turning at the same time as Jeongin, her heart already racing…
Maddie hated how quickly her stomach flipped at just the sight of him- hair slightly in his face again, wearing a white long sleeved shirt and black skinny jeans…
She had this sudden urge to stand up; to tell him they were both being stupid and they really needed to talk-
But despite her looking right at him…
Hyunjin’s eyes were purposely avoiding her own.
“Hi,” Felix smiled hesitantly, and she watched him give Hyunjin a small wave. “What’s up?”
Hyunjin smiled back- like he couldn’t help it- but the expression didn’t meet his eyes, and she felt another pang in her chest when she noticed that-
“Do either of you have an extra contract?” his voice was a bit low, shoving his hands into his pockets. “I can’t find mine anywhere.”
And just like that, time seemed to stop for a moment.
Maddie felt like she’d been slapped.
She looked away instantly, her insides tensing as she tried her best to keep her face neutral, eyes locked on her phone screen.
But she could see the device shaking just slightly in her hands; her heartbeat loud in her ears as she felt the rush of blood through her veins, making her face hot-
Hyunjin was going to meet with another girl.
She saw a sudden movement out of the corner of her eye- Lila, who was scowling a little, opening her mouth as if to say something- but Maddie gave a quick, subtle shake of her head, meeting her best friend’s eye.
It’s not worth it, she said without words.
Lila snapping back would do nothing; she knew that stubborn expression on Hyunjin’s annoyingly perfect face all too well.
“What do you need that for?”
Han was looking up at Hyunjin in slight confusion.
“Yeah…” Changbin had turned around, eyebrows furrowed deeply. “I was about to ask the same thing.”
And as much as Maddie appreciated them- felt loved and cared for- the way they kept glancing at her was making the heat of her face worse, her cheeks burning so bad she was touching them with her hands, scratching absentmindedly at her hair so it could come off casual-
She glanced at Seungmin, who was silent and staring, then Jeongin, who was shifting beside her.
He looked irritated- more irritated than she’d ever seen him- and he turned from Hyunjin to look at her.
His gaze darted along her face; she was sure it was bright pink and that surprised him-
Maddie never blushed.
But she found herself shaking her head again, not sure if Jeongin would even say anything but telling him not to, just in case.
There was a ringing in her ears- quiet but there- as if the world was slightly muffled, and Maddie swallowed hard around the rock that’d lodged itself into her throat-
Minho was shifting on the floor beside Han, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a stack of folded papers.
Maddie chanced a glance at Hyunjin again, but he still wasn’t looking at her, eyes fixed on Minho’s movements, and she was quickly turning away, running a hand through her hair.
Something caught her eye, and she was surprised to see Felix looking right at her, so much concern in his gaze that the corners of Maddie’s eyes began to burn, and she hurriedly looked away, the lump in her throat getting a little bigger-
“Here you go.”
Minho was casual as he stood up, handing it over.
“You sure you need that?”
Maddie was surprised by Chan, who was looking very pointedly at Hyunjin across the room, his face both questioning and serious, nodding at the paper in Minho’s outstretched hand.
There was a certain silence that followed Chan’s words, a few of them glancing her way again, and that only embarrassed Maddie even further, as she fought the urge to hide her face in her hands-
But instead, she was turning to Hyunjin on instinct, the man glaring back at Chan and looking aggravated.
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
He yanked the contract from Minho’s fingers, and for a second, his eyes flickered to Maddie.
She didn’t know what her face looked like or have time to even react before he was turning on his heel without another word, walking away.
His footsteps were loud in the vast entryway, and Maddie stared at the spot he’d been standing, cringing when the man left just a few moments later, slamming the door hard behind him.
Such a hush fell over the room that Maddie’s ears were ringing even louder, and she was avoiding everyone’s eyes, her phone trembling worse in her hand, vision going blurry as she stared at the screen, trying very hard to seem normal-
Jeongin was moving again beside her and when Maddie looked up, she could see him searching the features of her face, clearly worried.
And for whatever reason, that seemed to tip her over the edge, Maddie’s throat getting tight, her eyes burning again, more heat rushing to her face.
She was about to cry.
Standing up rather clumsily, she shoved her phone into her pocket, fixing her shirt.
“I’m just gonna uh- go to the bathroom-”
Maddie didn’t know why she’d even spoken- her voice was weird and strained, like someone was choking her- and before she could be humiliated any further, she rushed out of the living room.
She could feel every pair of eyes on her, and that made everything so much worse, Maddie swallowing hard, moving faster, rounding the corner and pushing the door open to the bathroom.
Closing it as quietly as she could behind her, Maddie stopped at the sink, hands on the counter, and hanging her head as she finally let her tears fall.
It felt like Hyunjin had just broken up with her.
She knew it was stupid- that they had never been anything- she’d just realized her feelings for him last week- and this entire thing was a disaster from the start.
But Hyunjin hadn’t needed a contract in six months.
Yet he’d asked for one so casually, like it hadn’t been just them all this time.
Right in front of her.
Like he doesn’t even care
Maddie was swallowing hard again, grabbing some tissues and wiping her tears, even as more spilled from her eyes.
She didn’t want to think about Hyunjin with another girl.
She didn’t want to think about him moving on so quickly and easily, like everything that’d transpired between them…
Was nothing.
Maddie was- unfortunately- his manager, too, and she couldn’t stop the logical side of her brain reminding her he hadn’t fed in four days.
He was probably running very low.
But did he have to do it like that?
Ask for a contract in front of everyone, knowing she was there, that she would hear, and she would be hurt-
Hyunjin was being an asshole.
She shouldn’t be crying over him like this; she should be mad and done with him, glad he’d given her a reason to stop thinking so hard about him all the time-
And yet.
Maddie didn’t want this to be over.
She couldn’t stand the thought of all of this ending now- that things would never be the way they were, that this… whatever it was, was done with and Hyunjin was ending it-
It was like taking everything away had given Maddie the solid answer she’d been looking for all along.
Despite everything…
She wanted Hyunjin.
And of course, this was apparently what was needed to make her realize it.
She groaned, burying her face in her hands; angry at him, angry at herself, angry that this drama had happened in front of all of their friends-
Glancing at her reflection, Maddie looked a little pathetic, and she quickly wiped the rest of her tears away, deciding she needed to take a shower and clear her head.
Turning away from the mirror, she sighed heavily, tossing the tissues in the trash and grabbing a towel from the closet.
Right now, Maddie really needed to think.

Sungmi’s back fell onto the mattress, a small yelp slipping from her lips as her head hit the pillow. Hyunjae was crawling slowly on top of her, grinning at the noise, reaching forward to cover her mouth with his palm.
“Be quiet, Mi,” he whispered, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. “Don’t want anyone to hear.”
She only had time to giggle before he was moving closer, leaning down to press his lips hard against hers.
Sungmi’s arms were immediately wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer, the skin of his bare torso warm against her own. They were turning their heads simultaneously, rhythm increasing, heavy breaths lingering in the silent air as Sungmi felt Hyunjae’s hips move against her own.
They hissed together at the friction, breaking the kiss, Hyunjae hanging his head, hair in his face, glancing down at their bodies pressed together.
Then he was looking back at her, dark eyes distinguishable even in the lightless room, lingering with her own before he was surging forward, capturing her lips once more.
Air caught in Sungmi’s throat at the feeling of his soft lips on hers, her fingers curling into the skin of his shoulders, wanting him closer, the small, breathy hum slipping from Hyunjae’s throat sending her heart rate through the roof.
They’d been flirting all night- playful touches, lingering eye contact, sneaky kisses when no one was looking- as they spent the day on the beach with their friends. There was something about Hyunjae in a swimsuit, skin glowing in the summer sun, hair always a little damp, stringy and perfect as it hung his eyes, that forever playful smile on his face as he played a game of volleyball with everyone else…
Sungmi had wanted him all day.
And apparently Hyunjae had felt the same, grabbing her hand the second everyone had gone to bed and practically dragging her up the stairs, pulling her swimsuit cover over her head and throwing it onto the floor before their door had even closed all the way.
Now they were half naked, sweaty bodies sticking to the silky comforter beneath them, their sleeping friends in the rooms on either side of them as Sungmi pressed her lips together, Hyunjae’s hips moving in an even rhythm against her own.
He was trailing kisses across her cheek now, his heavy breaths against her skin as he moved further down, Sungmi immediately turning her head, giving him access to her neck.
Hyunjae didn’t hesitate, his lips caressing the sensitive skin there as she gasped, arching her back off the bed at the feel of it. She felt him smile against her before his teeth were gently scraping along the skin, biting gently, tongue swiping tantalizingly along the area.
Again, Sungmi was gasping, her hips lifting into the rhythm of his own, the feel of just how turned on Hyunjae was making her eyes close.
Hyunjae’s mouth fell slack, releasing the skin as a small moan slipped from his lips before inhaling sharply.
But then he was back, lowering his head, rolling his body against hers once more, his tongue running along the length of her collarbone, as her fingers threaded into the hair on the back of his head, squeezing the strands in her grip.
He knew how much she liked that- how sensitive she was there- and Hyunjae knew damn well that it was very hard for her to be quiet when he was doing that.
And sure enough, Sungmi felt Hyunjae smirking against her once more before he was biting the skin there, rolling his tongue lazily along the area before sucking slightly. The heated pleasure of it shot through Sungmi’s body, and she snapped her mouth closed, squeaking a little, holding Hyunjae’s hair for some grounding-
He laughed quietly, pleased with himself it seemed, letting go of the spot and licking the indentations from his teeth before she felt him shifting above her, Sungmi opening her eyes once more.
Hyunjae was grinning mischievously at her, slowly raising an eyebrow.
“I thought we were supposed to be quiet?” he teased softly.
And Sungmi didn’t care how hot he looked like that- perfect face beautiful in the moonlight shining through the window, perfect body pressed close to her own, shoulders broad beneath her arms still wrapped around him- she wasn’t about to stroke Hyunjae’s ego anymore than she already (accidentally) had.
So, lifting up, Sungmi closed the distance between them, her lips setting the rhythm this time as she kissed him deeply.
Hyunjae was slightly caught off guard, quickly adjusting to kiss her back, sinking into it, his breath hitching, Sungmi feeling a jolt in her chest at the sound.
Then she was lifting her hips to roll them deliberately against his own, Hyunjae’s lips leaving hers as he exhaled harshly, his breath hot against her mouth as he hung his head.
Before he could say anything or counteract like she knew he would, Sungmi was loosening her fingers from his hair, digging her nails into the skin of his shoulder blades before slowly scratching down his back.
His favorite spot.
Hyunjae’s reaction was immediate, head falling onto her shoulder to muffle the loud groan that’d pulled from his throat, Sungmi watching as his fingers curled into the fabric of the comforter.
Her heart was hammering in her chest at the hotness of it all, but she was smirking all the same, turning her head to whisper into Hyunjae’s ear.
“Be quiet, Jae,” she said playfully. “Don’t want anyone to hear.”

Sometimes with Jae’s crazy schedule, we could go weeks without seeing each other.
And I missed him so much when he was gone.
His gentle voice, his monologues about the things he loved, often making me giggle.
His handsome smile, the way he got shy when I gave him a compliment, and all the trips to our favorite coffee shop just two blocks from our apartment.
But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss him physically, as well.
His body below mine- just like now- head digging into the pillow beneath him, a sigh slipping from his parted lips…
Yeah…
I definitely missed this, too.
Jae’s fingers were threading tightly through my hair as I bobbed my head up and down his dick, going faster, sensing how already close he was to the edge.
“Babe-” he choked out, voice low and strained. “I’m not- I’m gonna-”
But I knew, closing my lips so I could suck harder, his high-pitched groan as he lifted off the bed a bit telling me he was definitely almost there-
And then he was pulling on my hair again, tumbling over the edge with a gasp, my movements slowing to a stop until I knew he’d finished completely.
I pulled back with a pop, JB’s hands slipping from my hair and falling limply to his sides, eyes still closed.
“Holy crap,” he muttered under his breath.
I waited for only a moment.
Just until his breathing was a little more even, and then I leaned close again, wrapping my hand around the base of his dick before licking a long, slow stripe up the length of him.
He moaned loudly in surprise, lifting his head off the pillows, eyes shooting open as he watched me slowly pull my mouth away.
“What are you doing?” he asked, eyes darting to my slightly parted lips before meeting my gaze once more.
“I’m not done with you yet,” I answered simply.
And I could see the darkness in his eyes- he’d always loved this- felt how turned on he was getting all over again, a smile pulling on the corners of my lips.
“Can I?”
I bit my lip, looking up at him through my lashes, Jae chuckling breathlessly before falling back on the pillow.
“Go ahead.”
I didn’t hesitate, licking up the length of him again, another broken groan slipping from his lips, his back already lifting off the mattress again.
“Ah-”
I knew it was a lot- this was always a lot- but that made it all the more hot.
The way his fingers were already back in my hair, tangled in the strands, holding me in place.
The way his body was almost fighting me, lifting against the grip I had on his hip, legs shifting on either side of me, telling me he wanted this but it was also too much-
I ran my tongue across his slit before I was taking him into my mouth, lowering slowly, wanting to tease-
He inhaled sharply above me, squeezing a bit on my hair, my eyes fluttering closed at how sexy he sounded before I started building a rhythm.
Up and down- slow and steady- my lips closing around him, sucking hard, tongue drawing circles along the sides of his dick as Jae was already moaning again.
“Shit,” he was whispering again. “Shit, shit, shit-”
I would’ve smiled if I could- relaxing my throat so I could take more of him into my mouth, sucking harder-
Jae groaned low in his throat, pushing against my hold on him again, wanting to move into my mouth-
And I let him for a second, staying still so he could thrust in and out, JB hissing appreciatively through gritted teeth-
But then I was pushing his hips back down, building my own rhythm instead, knowing this constant back and forth was already overstimulating enough-
“Ah-” he was choking on air again, hand moving to the back of my head, pushing half-heartedly like he wanted me to go faster. “I’m-”
But I knew, only increasing my rhythm, running my tongue along the sensitive underside, sucking more steadily now to build the pressure in my mouth-
And Jae was moaning once more, gasping on the sound, pulling on my hair-
“Yeah,” he muttered, words a bit jumbled. “Just- please-”
Bobbing up and down, I kept going, knowing he was close again, Jae’s fingers gripping my hair almost painfully.
Another high-pitched groan ripped from his throat as he tumbled over the edge once more, holding my head in place, my hands moving from his hips so he could work himself through it, JB’s heavy, short breaths telling me just how good it felt all over again-
Then he stopped and I was pulling away for a moment, a sheen of sweat across his body, Jae reaching up to push his, dark damp hair off his forehead.
“Whoa,” he said, voice hoarse.
But it wasn’t until I moved my hand up and down his dick just once, twisting my wrist a little, that Jae realized I hadn’t moved away completely-
His eyelids fluttered as he watched my slow movements, propped on his elbows, head falling back to look at the ceiling-
“I don’t know if I can-” he whispered, voice tight.
But I could feel him growing hard again, watched his hips lift ever so slightly into my movements, his breath hitching as I ran my thumb along his slit-
“Are you sure?” I asked.
His eyes flickered to my face before darting to my mouth, watching as I ran my tongue along my bottom lip before taking it slowly into my mouth.
Jae’s gaze was locked with mine as I slowly lowered back into position, moving my hand up and down again before drawing a line up the underside of his dick with my tongue for the third time-
“Oh-”
He choked on the word, elbows slipping beneath him as he fell completely to the bed again, hand running shakily up my arm.
I was making up for lost time- making up for all the nights we would’ve spent doing this if we’d been together- wanting him nice and wrecked once this was done-
And he was arching off the bed again, hand still in his own hair as he gripped the strands, a desperate moan slipping from his lips.
“Oh my god-” he whispered in a rush just as my lips were wrapping around him again. “Shit-”
Here it was again- almost too much- but Jae loved it, I knew he did, his body melting a bit beneath me as I started building a rhythm again, faster than my other beginnings-
I was being mean now, sucking hard and matching my hand to the rhythm of my mouth, running my tongue along the rim of his head.
And a low whine tore from his throat, JB’s fingers shifting against my shoulder like he couldn’t even figure out what to do with his hands-
I relaxed my throat again, taking as much of him as I could, keeping a rhythm as JB gasped loudly above me.
“Ah,” he’d found my hair again, gripping it as if needing something to hold. “Yeah-”
I was still moving, drawing patterns with my tongue, working my hand with my mouth in perfect synchronization, Jae’s fingers stuttering against my scalp.
“I-” he breathed, pushing lightly on the back of my head again, telling me to go faster. “Just-”
He didn’t make sense, but I didn’t need him to, increasing my rhythm, knowing just want he wanted, my eyes slipping closed as he groaned once again, already close-
“Shit-” he was breathing heavy again, hips shifting beneath my hands. “I- Yeah-”
And then he was finishing for the third time, nearly crying out at the overstimulation of it all as I worked him through it, my hand still moving with my mouth.
Then- catching my own breath- I finally pulled back completely.
Jae’s head was still digging into the pillow, but after a moment he was lifting up to look at me, expression sated, eyes darting along my face as if I wasn’t real.
“I can’t again,” he said breathlessly, a small smile pulling on his lips. “I think-”
“I know.”
I giggled a little, Jae taking his hand from my hair, gently fixing the strands and tucking them behind my ear.
I crawled across his body, the two of us exhaling lightly as I snuggled on top, kissing him chastely on the lips.
Then I pulled away, his hands running up the length of my back, my head resting on his chest before I spoke.
“I think three time’s the charm.”
