i've decided to finally post about aroace akitoya

i so totally understand romantic akitoya shippers and even engage with the content sometimes. but. consider my viewpoint.

akitoya qpr. like. i have these 2 thoughts in my head:

1. akito has known he was aroace since sometime in middle school and actually helped toya realize that he was also aroace. they enter a qpr early in their first year of high school. they never really tell anyone because they don't think it's all that important. i feel like some people would definitely assume they have crushes on each other but... nah. they're just chilling. :)

2. "peer pressure" (not exactly but can't think of the right words) from others leads them to believe that they actually do have crushes on each other. (neither of them know they are aroace yet in this interpretation) so they enter a relationship on a mutual understanding of "i like you i think" and "yeah i'm pretty sure i like you too?" but then it all feels wrong and weird so it falls apart within a matter of weeks. then they later experience aroace enlightening <3

like... they have such distinct soulmate vibes but also they're both so aroace. they're so aroace. to me. <3

anyways if you read this lol thanks for indulging my silly thoughts. akitoya isn't even one of my fav ships i just wanted to put this out here because i never see people talk about aroace akitoya and they mean a lot to me!

good lord I felt the opposite of ageing when you asked who matpat is (for conext he's a really big youtuber that has existed since like 2011 and has made tons of theory videos, he's a great guy. He's retired now and his friends host the theory chanels instead of him. So yes, it is a compliment.)

2. Oh my GOD you have so much knowledge on writting and like- I barely know anything about writting so I can't have some type of well written, clever response, but what I AM gonna say is that, for me, it would be really interesting if pt2 is like a miror/has refrences to pt1, and if there are more parts the theme of mirroring the previous part continues. For exmaple something I said when i reblogged a poll is that I would like pt2 to start off with young Sherlock/Holmes brothers, because pt1 started off with young Moriarty bros. Sorry if this seems messy, I genuienly didn't expect such a clever and intresting repsonse(compliment) so I'm trying my best to answer back. TwT

uhhhh.. random question because I dont just wanna leave the ask with only a semi-funny sentence:

What do you think would be the most clever and well written route to take in pt2 of Yuumori? Not most possible, but the route you think would be the most interesting.

I...I had to look up who MatPat was, and it looks like he's a Youtuber....? I've never heard of anything he's done or him so I'm not entirely sure what his vibe is so I dunno how to take this, honestly. Um, I think it's a compliment....?

Anyway, I don't think I have an answer to what would be the cleverest and most well written story for YuuMori Part Two. There's basically...four spectra to analyze a piece of fiction on:

Whether or not the writing/other artistic choices were more or less effective at telling the story the creators wanted to tell (I have currently no idea what story Miyoshi wants to tell with part two)

Whether or not the writing/other artistic choices were more or less effective at telling the story the piece of art is actually telling (which is...often not a perfect overlap with part on and sometimes is a venn diagram with a very tiny intersection).

What the hell story are all these artistic choices even telling? (You need to do this before you can do 2., but not necessarily 1.)

Whether or not the artistic choices and/or story the media is telling is one I like.

1 can be kind of tricky to tell if you don't know the authors, but it's also often possible to tell what story the author was trying to tell, more or less, from the artistic choices and if something seems wildly out of place or really not working well--they're still there for a reason, but they might have been an attempt that jived with 1. but not 2.

From what I can tell from the story, and from what little I know of Miyoshi and Takeuchi and their attempts at YuuMori part one, I think they got across the story they were trying to tell very well, and were extremely effective at telling the story they were telling. I also really, really liked the story they were telling.

But fundamentally, 4 is not a craft issue and it's entirely independent of how well written or clever a piece of media is. And how well written and clever a piece of media is depends entirely on whether or not the various choices made actually effectively tell the story it's trying to tell.

I tend to be relatively good, but far from perfect, at guessing what YuuMori is going to do at least on a thematic level. But the details are where I skew the most, because Miyoshi is telling YuuMori's story in a way I wouldn't have.

And that's what makes it so much fun. I get to learn from someone who is very good at what they do and very much not like myself.

So I'm happy to not know or guess and dissect things once I have something to dissect.

im so scared of hating missy martin as a character because I'm worried about her feeling unnatural in the story— if she feels like just a rando insert that's only there to make the plot of the movie make sense it will be my DOWNFALL BRO😭😭😭

i want henry and missy so bad to have a father daughter bond where henry begrudgingly helps missy or maybe doesn't even want to help her at all which pushes her away from her literal role model in a sort of "oh you're not who i thought you were" way and they have conflict over it until he sees missy for who she is and then he grows to like her !!!! and then they father daughter into the sunset and life is happy!!! (they will all suffer in the movie i just know it my gut tells me nobody will be happy until the last 10 minutes /j)

Only two chapters left of Wobbly Hearts and then I’m DONE. 21 is pretty much finished I just got to edit it and look over it and all that, and 22 needs some tweaking but its almost done too and I’m AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA longest I’ve ever worked on anything like this and it’s almost done!!!!
