Just Some Random Things I’ve Manifested Since Entering the Void <3

Tickets to Disneyland

More specifically, available tickets to Disneyland. I actually had no idea about the new reservation system they have because I haven’t been to the park since 2012, and my grandparents are visiting us so my family had intended to go to Disneyland for the weekend since they’re from out of the country and have never been. Lo and behold, the website says they’re booked and the whole plan goes down the drain. Well, that’s what we thought until I remembered “hey! Im a master manifestor!” And I affirmed and lived in delusion the entire ride there. I successfully manifested openings for our group of 7 people for passes that lets us take my grandparents to Disneyland to live out their childhood dreams 😌

Winning Lottery Tickets

Like actual tickets I won from the scratcher cards slfkfkdkksls sorry I havent manifested millions of dollars yet. I just bought a couple of lotto scratchers on our way back from California because we don’t have them in the state I live, and I just decided they’d all be winners. Lo and behold, they all had a prize of a free lotto scratcher ticket. That one is on me for not being more specific, but hey free tickets are free tickets and at least now with my new ones I’ll actually have a cash amount in mind to manifest once I get them 💀

I’ve been obsessing over malachite and opalite since forever. I’ve been drawn to these stones for so long but I always put off buying them because Im not someone who strongly utilizes crystals in day to day life, I just think they’re pretty and that they offer good vibes yk? I want to a swapmeet the other day and literally found them at the stalls and so I got a malachite ring and a GORGEOUS piece of opalite. Okay, I know almost exactly what you mean but I don’t think it’s a spiteful thing at all? Even in the modern day you don’t get lesbian/gay/queer romance in shows or films as frequently as straight romance (naturally because of heteronormativity so they’ll likely prove to be more appealing to the general public), and that absence was much more obvious in the past? When we would have been growing up too?

Anyway, I think it might just be our way of compensating for the lack of shows that openly show queer relationships through creating our own ships in fanon? So I think it’s a normal thing to think about honestly :)

Im rereading Oathbringer, and I just got to the flashback where Dalinar remembers Adolins birth. I have thoughts about it, but I'm high and cant sumarize to save my life.

One of my favorite things about Sandersons books is that he focuses on telling a story more than realism, but puts obvious effort into making sure everything he does makes sense. Another way to put it is that he has a strong emphasis on complex worldbuilding, but prioritizes thing like emotional impact and epicness over strict realism. ("Honor is dead, but I'll see what I can do." Do real people actually talk like that? Really?) The biggest example that I have seen other people discuss is Sanderson prudishness around sex. Yes in a more 'realistic' story sex would probably feature in peoples motivations and actions, but sex is an intensly volatile subject emotionally, so Sanderson doesn't distract the reader with it in the first place.

All that longwinded essay to say, I felt Dalinars reaction to Adolin's birth was probably not strictly realistic, but I appreciate it anyway. Dalinar was in fullblown withdrawals from the Thrill, and though he may have had affection for Evi, he also found her confusing and restrictive. Dalinar never had any prior interest in children, and he was chafing at his enforced safety and inability to fight. Having Dalinar react to Adolins birth with nothing but pride and honest joy feels like one of Sandersons styalistic choices, but I breathed a sigh of relief that we wouldnt be opening the emotional can of worms around unwanted children.

OK OK most of them are set in nyc cuz that feels like the most likely place to meet them also the last two are abt meeting just dan cuz they were conjured while he was on tour and honestly if i ran into phil by himself neither of us would say a word in shock and recognition but i would have an easier time talking to the yapmaster

im in a park in the city, brooklyn or manhattan. i see some tall ppl who look confused and are asking for directions to the nearest gay bar. i tell them about all the ones i know of and then we just chat and i act really cool like idk who they are but at the end i smile and tilt my head like "wait a minute... dont i know you from somewhere?" and theyre like "haha were youtubers" and im like "yeah i thought i recognized u 😏 well i gotta go so i'll see you around online lol 😌" and walk away coolly like im not internally dying.

i'm in a crowded subway car reading this mental health book i bought nbd. at the next stop a seat opens up and this tired dude sits next to me. i look up from my book which of course has the US cover. i look at the guy and look at the cover and he notices the book as well and we have a good laugh about it like haha thats so funny your face is just on the cover teehee. he tells me that phil got lost looking at the subway map so i give him directions to the stop that phil is waiting at. the next stop is mine so i wave bye and say "tell phil i said hi 😝". ok this ones straight up inspired by the phannie who was on the same plane as dnp. i'm boarding a plane, and who sits next to me but dan howell! i ofc noticed him earlier at the airport, gave each other acknowledging stares of "i know what you are" but not wanting to hop out of the tsa line just to get a selfie. but now that he's sat beside me i'm like omg heyy thats so funny haha maybe im wearing merch cuz i do wear my merch out a lot and one of us points it out like lol omg catboys >w< i tell him he can take the window seat cuz i need a quick exit as a Tummy Problems haver, and he says thanks. we dont really talk on the plane other than to use the restroom and such, he's mostly listening to music and i'm playing on my switch and like we're gonna be trapped in this tube for five hours so i dont need to make this a living hell. i make a point to not use the in-flight wifi to tell everyone whats happening lol and the rest of the journey is all relatively chill and we do get a selfie once we land at the airport and go our separate ways <3
