We all start somewhere!

Apparently federal employees are the new scapegoat for the downfall of the United States..because we have more holidays and sick leave (which is still less than what other countries have) than most working class folks... Guess I'm part of the ruling class now guys 😔

ESPECIALLY the state offices#And like people dont realize the more budget we have the more we can help the states via grant funding. It breaks all of our hearts when#we have to decline funding for a state project or for hiring employees because theres not enough funding#i think people are confusing military and dod overspending with the rest of the government#so many of my fed friends are going through burnout#all my coworkers work super hard. Yes they take vacations but like..everyone should be able to do that??#isnt that what we are all striving for??#god forbid we have breaks#i got pissed off because some idiot wrote a 'response' video to the rich men from Richmond song#but its not a response video because the original artist WASNT TALKING ABOUT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES#of course all the maga idiots are singing its praises bc they just deep throat whatever they hear from fox news#its not a cushy livestyle. my department director has white hair from all the stress hes gone through#and he says he'll have to work the rest of his life#pensions havent been a thing in decades#so people want to put federal employees on the same shit level they are at...for what. Been working on cleaning up/making my Ko-fi page a bit more robust and found an option for monthly subscriptions. I already have a $1 tip jar tier up just as kind of a test run to see how it works, but it's got me thinking:
Price wouldn't be very high, probably capped to $3 a month (price subject to change, idk yet). I'll be using that space to post page wips, extra doodles, and, when it comes time to start posting the next track, Ko-fi members will get to read 3-4 pages ahead. Or something along those lines. Would that be something y'all would be interested in?
#for clarification this tier will Not go up until the next track is in a bit more of a substantial place#esp cause i'm not sure how long it would take to complete one track to the next#that's the thing ab subscription models. i'm scared im not gonna give people their moneys worth sdkjfhsdkljf#i have a full-time office job and for the most part everything i do art related (the comic + the shop + etc) is done on my own free time#i'd also like. post a disclaimer In the subscription tier desc itself saying that updates will prob be slow#idk. i want to keep exploring diff avenues to grow as an artist but i also don't want to like. come off as trying to swindle people LMAO#the last thing i want is to ask for too much from yall bc literally just post interactions is enough to make my day im so serious#all this to say: pls vote honestly so i can properly gauge interest thank u <3#skip speaks

i think about restarting dailyvriskas like 3x a week but man. MAN. if i really were to run it by myself (because having other mods has literally never worked out) i would REALLY have to learn how to actually enjoy drawing. or lower my standards. probably both.

didnt get the commercial job since it seemed they actually had a really constricting time frame, and i would need 2 to maybe even 3 months to finish the art but hopefully i get more opportunities in the future!

hi! absolutely! with modern artists i guess there are fewer i would consider myself a fan of because i have a lot of modern music by a lot of different people, so often for each artist i only have about. three songs. whereas for older artists because the way i got into them was different, usually i have a lot of music but by a few specific artists. but definitely i would say for modern artists (not sure what we're considering modern--im saying anyone who's released an album since 2010 from which i have songs in my library xx) i am a fan of mitski, declan mckenna, fiona apple, wet leg, big thief, peach pit, sufjan stevens xx
#feel like im forgetting someone but also dont think i am...trying to think of artists where if they released new stuff i would make a#point of listening to it but there arent many.
