This is the face of Iran, the one puppeteering numerous Islamic terror organizations, among which are Hamas and Hezbollah.

The same crowd cheering as Iran and its proxies launched over 300 drones, ICBM missiles and Cruise missiles on Israel is the one calling for a ceasefire and condemning Israel for its actions. The hypocrisy is not lost on the rest of us.

Iranians deserve so much better than pasty westerners supporting the persecution they've endured & survived for decades.

sorry but what is the point of proudly publishing your expensive open-access monograph under a creative commons license if it's the no-derivs one. the derivs are kind of the whole idea, right

#i get the noncommercial rider ok but what are you worried about here. is someone going to collage your special little book #oh no someone might copy it? guys? there are certainly extant norms to deal with that which have more force than a cc license?#ANYWAY most academic books never get audiobooks & even OA ones are still usually illegal to audiobook #if you hypothetically really liked them/part of them + wanted to try to con yr friends into listening to them #like hypothetically as i have already done & believe is fair use but mostly believe will not be found out. the copyright regime sucks so ba #obviously most academic books are for an audience of 'people who have academic library access [don't think about those budgets]'#but this seems unnecessarily restrictive to me; a) even talented academics often cannot find jobs in their field/leave academia #also that work was made with PUBLIC MONEY share it with THE PUBLIC. 'oh i work for a private institution' TAX BREAKS BUD! SHARE!
