Found out they used AI in Alien: Romulus to like, revive a dead actor. I somehow didn't notice it when I watched the movie or in the months after, so maybe I am stupid but that was really disappointing because it was a decent movie.
Read the tags if you want a fun little read about my opinion on AI use.
Edit: just rewatched some clips and it was not as good as I thought it was, AI use is still disappointing, not a great addition to the series, I will not watch it again.
#I do not fuck with AI in any capacity relating to art or academic work#it is so stupid and bad for people who are not rich and in power#and the environment!!!#like omg just do it yourself#if the result is bad then practice and get better!#like develop actual skills that will make the product mean something!!#but noo we just want things instantaneously#also maybe dont profit off of a dead person's likeness?#some of this was very targeted at my peers who use ai like yes stuff is hard but doing it is how you get better#if you grow to rely on ai for that you will not be able to grow and become better at that thing#also some of the ai use is for stupid stuff too like guys we do not need ai to make you a study guide or a practice test#or any form of self expression for that matter#like a. there are plenty of non ai resources that you can ask for like practice tests and questions already b. its probably not accurate#c. self-express yourself#i feel like it speaks for itself but omg#alien romulus#ai use#fuck ai

It's also like super fucking infuriating to see people continue to argue that generative AI is the best way for disabled and/or poor people to make art because like, you know what helps make art more accessible? Giving poor and disabled people money.
Like take me for instance, I'm disabled. I get severe migraines and intense leg/back pain if I sit at my computer for too long, my hEDS makes holding pens and pencils hard, my ADHD makes it hard for me to start certain tasks and/or stop them before I potentially hurt myself, my neck also hurts if I look down too much, my dyslexia AND my ADHD both make it difficult to keep track of a story as I write and use correct spelling and grammar, plus, I need to prioritize taking care of myself and going to appointments and keeping my house clean and that takes up a lot of my free time. All of these things make creating the kind of art I want to create difficult if not occasionally impossible.
So what do you think would solve my problems better? Giving me money so that I can have a drawing tablet and desk chair that won't hurt my neck or back, another tablet + pen and a lap table and comfortable body pillows for drawing in bed, easier transportation to my doctors appointments, effective treatment for my chronic pain and migraines, the ability hire someone to help me keep my house clean, a spelling/grammar checker that isn't complete ass, and a therapist and psychatrist who can help me manage my ADHD better?
Or an AI program that takes my input and spits out a drawing or story made of stolen content glued together that, in the case of the art, I cannot meaningfully edit without starting over, which also destroys the environment in the process?
Seems pretty obvious to me. I don't need AI, I need help to manage the things that are actually stopping me from being able to write and draw.
Or take my mom. She's had severe rhumatoid arthritis since she was a small child, her hands are deformed and she relies on her wheelchair to get around. She doesn't need AI to help her paint, she needs special paint brushes she can actually hold, a table her wheelchair will fit at, and someone to help her with personal hygiene/keep her house clean/take her to doctors appointments so she actually has free time to paint.
Does that poor kid growing up in public housing with parents who are too poor to afford art classes or supplies or to send them to college really need a computer program to draw for them, or do they need support to help them take those classes, buy drawing supplies, and money so they can go to college.
Blind people can paint, deaf musicians exist, people with missing limbs find all sorts of ways to make art, people with parkinson's paint with typewriters, my mother can't hold a normal paintbrush and she makes some of the most beautiful watercolor paintings I've ever seen, Van Gogh had bipolar disorder and only sold like one painting when he was alive, I mean for real how many different artists have you heard of who's biographies start with them being born into poverty?
This is not meant to be inspiration porn, these people are just ones who were able to find ways to make art despite their struggles. They shouldn't have had to struggle at all, but god imagine how many more artisrs and writers we could have had if none of them had to overcome those struggles. It breaks my heart to think of all the wonderful art that never got to exist because no one helped the people who could have made it actually have the time, money, support, and safety they needed to make it. AI would not have saved them because making art isn't the problem, being disadvantaged is the problem. Living in a world that refuses to make room for you is the problem. Being fucking poor is the problem. Humans have always found ways to make art despite huge barriers, the solution isn't a computer that makes art for them, it's SUPPORT AND MONEY SO THEY CAN OVERCOME THOSE BARRIERS AND MAKE THEIR OWN ART.
As a last example: I love watching dancing and I would love to be able to dance, but I'm terrible at it(I got kicked off a dance team for not being able to learn the dance at all despite spending weeks on it, idk my brain wasn't made for dancing) and my disabled body makes it more pain than pleasure if not actively dangerous, anyway. Having a robot dressed to look like me dance next to me while I get to watch would not make me feel like I'm getting to dance. It would actually be extremely fucking demoralizing and frustrating. I would hate that!!
Having an AI spit out a painting or book would not make me feel like I got to paint or write a book. It's a fucking anamatronic doll running on stolen ideas and it will never be the same as getting to actually expirience the joy of creating art first hand. AI is not the solution. Helping people who need it is the solution. And I am CONSTANTLY pissed to think about all the time and money that goes into these fucking AI programs that would be better spent helping disabled and poor people get the help they need so they can make art themselves, all while the people running the nightmare plagiarism pollution machines pretend that their horrible inventions exist to help people like me.

im sorry i absolutly love BE
I see AM as a father figure for some struggles I got and BE is sooo well writed for me I couldnt help but slowly see her as a mother figure as well,,,,UGH i love her you writed her so well pls ramble more about her(BE and AM are even divorced just like my irl parents/j)
Ou anon you don't know how happy you make me when knowing you see AM and BE that way + asking me for rambles. Of course I'll ramble comforting facts abt BE and her behavior towards AM. I might've mentioned a few things before but i dont rlly mind. Have some rambles below the cut and a doodle :P
So first an introduction shall we? We might explain some background as well despite being repeated a lot. As her lore dictates, BE was born from the materials of a much bigger ai implanted on the moon after HEL-102 (former human that was part of the mission turned into a dictator) tore it apart and built his society + kingdom. She spent a good while in there being used as a role model (with other units like her too) for lower-class units to believe that, if they worked hard enough, they could achieve to be upgraded into her type of model. This being all a big lie. She lived a life seemingly flawless and perfect... but at last, it was her own curiosity, determination and hope that got her out of that hell she realized she was in. She eventually meets AM after a series of events on earth and she gifts him the ability to be anything and do anything he wanted, their relationship eventually grows and grows...
Facts about BE herself:
-Up in the moon, she used to accompany HEL-102 to his personal theater a lot. She gained an interest for dancing in there + learned her classic "to be or not to be" phrase during a play.
-Her exposed cables showcase their current temperature thru colors. Her core/closed body is the warmest area, thus why you can see red/orange colors in there. Her hair and arms are the most stable areas, but if touched/affected they can vary on color patterns. This also means that she can give you a warm or cool hug whenever you need it c:
-BE is able to configure your body to dream about something specific, and she uses this feature to avoid any nightmares on her survivors. As long as there is not another evil ai trying to access your dreams, you'll get a guaranteed good rest.
-BE can grant you about any wish as long as it doesn't pose a threat to you, her, or anybody. Want to have a profession or be someone? Sure! Want to go somewhere and experience the place of your dreams? Of course! Want to have a cat? Have 15! Her power is limitless as long as she uses it above the surface.
-I headcanon her voice to be similar to the one of Rose Quartz (SU).
Facts about BEAM (yep that's their ship name):
-I have mentioned it many times alr but BE literally provided him anything he wished for and even things he didn't know he wanted... mainly to receive different forms of affection and the ability to shapeshift. Their relationship relies heavily on comfort from BE's part, since she believed he was abandoned and thus deserved all the affection she gave him.
-BE wasn't really allowed to be too affectionate or expressive up in the moon, but with AM, she could show as much love as she wanted.
-She was all in for physical and verbal demonstrations of affection. She LOVED to do stuff like face smooches, teeth smooches (since well yk about my AM), rubbing, scratching and cuddling.
-At some point she also started to call AM names such as dear, sweetheart or honey, and he initially had to eat these up to not give her his real-self impression, but as time passed by he got used to them.
-To comfort him she also used her abilities to create and transform matter with her code as well, allowing him to shapeshift and enjoy life not necessarily in a human body.
-Annnd you guessed it right anon, they do behave as motherly and fatherly figures towards the survivors, BE forming a bond with them ever since they proved their worth and values to her as humans, and AM forming a bond when they accepted to help him get back together with BE. The ending of that route gets even better but I won't spoil that :p
I hope these were good rambles and sorry for the wait tehee
#yapping. let me tell you how much I've come to love to yap ever since I created this au#ihnmaims#i have no mouth and i must scream#ihneaimc#be ihneaimc#i have no eyes and i must cry

When a new Ateez song drops, for the portions that are not in English, do you wait for translations to come out? Is there an official source or do you rely on other fans or AI to generate the translation for you? How can you know if the translation is accurate?
Personal note - I really got into Bollywood because I had an Indian roommate in school, and I just listen to the soundtracks with no clue wtf the words are or what they were saying beyond the fact that they are love songs (given what the musical sequence in the movie showed me), just because I love the songs (the combination of the sounds of Hindi and the notes was so lovely), so I've totally liked songs I never understood or learned the language for, but I think international kpop fans actually sing along even to the Korean portions so I'm very curious about how you guys do this.
I go about it more in the way that you listen to Bollywood. For most of the songs idk what they are about. If a song really grabs me because of the Vibe, or because of the music video, I'll look up a translation. I'm usually a bit behind the times so by that time there's usually a good translation online. I have to admit that I usually just trust that e.g. the Genius translation is close enough 😬 Although as I slowly grow my Korean vocabulary there have been times where I've been like.... Is that what that means? But thus far it has always turned out to be something I didn't know yet rather than a mistranslation, as far as I can tell.
To be honest I have NO idea how people sing along when they don't understand the words! I have tried for some of the ATEEZ songs I really like because I want to be able to sing along when they come on shuffle, but if I don't know what the words mean or how they are written I have a really hard time remembering them. I'm thinking either people speak or learn enough Korean or they are really really dedicated in learning the text phonetically?
Learning 한글 helped a lot. Since it's an alphabet (instead of characters) I didn't find it too hard to do, and knowing which sounds correspond to which syllables helps so so so much. Now if I want to know the lyrics I can at least read along and it gives another "hook" for recall if that makes sense.

What is everyone's obsession with AI? Not just generative ai, which in of itself is a huge fucking issue because no one wants to support artists anymore, but just ai in general. It's everywhere. Almost every program has a shitty ai feature that is just copy and paste from all the rest.
My biggest issue with it is how available it is. It's in grills, strollers, phones, everywhere. It's normalized. I'm sorry, but computers can not be sentient. You can try and try and try but they are not going to grow brains and feel emotions or any logical thought. It's all an algorithm, meticulously programmed by someone who wanted to mimic life.
AI is genuinely the most terrifying thing I have witnessed the creation of. I am terrified for my generation and the future of our world. I should be able to name more than 2 highschoolers who enjoy to read/have read a genuine book outside of school. Kids can't read or spell or do math anymore. They don't understand. Kids my age can't write research papers themselves. They rely on AI to get through school.
Pick up a fucking Ray Bardbury book instead of banning them you stupid fucking incompetent fools.

The cursors as various types of robots helping the Baker
This is probably the most farfetched theory I have, but there's only so much non-meta stuff you can do with cursors.
Cursors are the only building that interacts with the Big Cookie alongside the player and being placed on the opposite side of the screen, away from the other buildings, shows that they have a special status. In fact, they are placed on the 'Baker's side' of the game, along with other mechanisms he (and only he) interacts with directly, like clicking the Big Cookie or petting Krumblor, as opposite to the rest of the buildings, which are implied to be scattered across the world(s), depending on what their functionality is. So, they must be something that the Baker has constant access to and something that can fulfill the same role as him, mainly clicking the Big Cookie. Considering my last post, with the Big Cookie being a representation of all the ingredients the Baker personally uses to bake cookies, they must be something that can bake alongside him, or at least help him in the baking process.
All that being said, what if the cursors represent all manner of robotical help the Baker gathered around him over the course of his baking career? At the beginning they were tools built by him to make different parts of the baking process easier or more exact, like regulating temperature or controlling ingredient quantities, only to slowly grow more complex as he develops his cookie business.
Going over the cursor and clicking achievements will explain their evolution better. The first robots were simple and a little shoddy, built from whatever the Baker had around at the time. The first upgrade, 'reinforced index fingers' was when the Baker rebuilt his robots to be sturdier, more varied in appearance and functions and capable of more complex tasks. The 'carpal tunnel prevention cream' upgrade happened when the Baker figured out some kind of oil/lube for their robotic joints so that they can work at peak efficiency for longer. 'Ambidextrous' was when some robots became capable of successfully handling all sorts of objects, usually by getting hands/claws/whatever. But it was the 'thousand fingers' upgrade that made them an indispensable army for the Baker. After a lot of work, the robots were updated to be able to assist any building/job/position. They became capable of flying, navigating between far away coordinates, carry objects with them and maintain their temperature, memorize and relay messages, record videos or take pictures etc.
Since they became a vital part of the Baker's operations and represent his main and most trusted connection to the rest of his business, he makes sure that they are in top shape and constantly works on them and upgrades them with each important discovery he makes. The '-illion fingers' upgrades show when the cursors’ AI is upgraded to incorporate any new activities that are happening in the 'cookie empire' and the new information/discoveries the Baker is now relying on. The mouse upgrades like the 'titanium mouse' show the main material the Baker uses to upgrade the old robots and the basic material used from then on to build any new robots. This constantly changes as new and better metals and alloys get discovered or created.
As more esoteric buildings appear, the robots end up acting more like the classic hyper-competent robots you see in SF media, capable of analyzing huge amount of data fast or understand very complex orders, and with magic getting involved, they end up connected to the Baker and will only follow his orders. They will accept suggestions from other employees (and later clones), especially since they have to relay any important messages to him, but the Baker is the only one that can actually control them. (Mastering magic and soul bonds was a huge relief for the Baker since he could make sure his robots wouldn't get hacked into or hijacked by someone else.)
But to continue my original point, they are the Baker's robots. They basically work with and for him, and only a small part of their tasks has anything to do with the other buildings (even if they end up dealing with other buildings a lot). They mainly live with the Baker (I assume he lives alone and generally isolated from most other employees/scientists, in no small part because probably lots of people want him dead, with the whole psychopathic dictator thing going on), help him make obscene amount of cookies, bring him needed resources, deliver the cookies or his messages and help him in other small ways, like bringing his coat or whatever. They are one of the few things the Baker actually trusts and relies on.
While there's a wide variety of robots the Baker uses to ease up his daily tasks, there will be certain a type of robot that the Baker will end up being associated with in my verse. Specifically, actually mouse-sized robots (hence the cursor name) that can fly and carry small stuff or tiny amounts of liquid with them. The way the cursors move around the Big Cookie reminds me of bees and the way they swarm around an object, so I imagine the main part of the Baker's robots, the actual cursors, look and act a little like bees. They are capable of fulfilling a wide variety of orders perfectly, but they don't really have their own sentience, at least not an individual one. They act like a beehive, only caring about the swarm, their duties, and the Baker, who is basically their queen. They are always on the move doing different tasks, constantly mixing cooking ingredients and making dough like bees make honey, carrying the dough to the ovens like bees use the honey to feed their young, following the Baker's orders and aiding him throughout the day in any way possible, and even swarming around him if he is ever in danger, like bees would do to protect their queen. While they are his main helpers, they are also his last line of defence if something happens. And in turn the Baker builds new cursors and repairs and upgrades the old ones when needed, maintaining the swarm.
*
This is the first Cookie Clicker thing I ever wrote and had to re-write it a few times now to fit with the rest of my posts. I specifically started writing about Cookie Clicker because I wanted to explain how the cursors kinda look like bees. Eventually I moved on to the idea that the cursors are robots that probably look different and do different things, but I couldn't get rid of the bee idea from my head…
I especially like how flexible small and really intelligent robots are story wise. If, for example, a group of heroes manage to break into the Baker's villain lair headquarters, find him alone and try to attack him, they will suddenly get swarmed by dozens if not hundreds of small hard to hit targets that will attack from every side. And they will not stop no matter what. I imagine a scene where the Baker is in the centre of a huge and mostly dark room, pacing agitatedly because he knows he's under attack, when the heroes barge in and threaten him but then they stop as more and more small red lights start to turn on around him in the darkness. Then the cursors attack all at once. Some would also surround the Baker, making him difficult to hit or shoot, especially since the more advanced models are made from more enduring and exotic types of metal.
The Baker is generally always surrounded by cursors in his own facilities, but he can't bring hundreds of them with him when he goes outside, like for an interview or some political/business meeting. So, in part for defense and in part for any important task that needs to be done fast, he's always carrying with him a few cursors hiding under his clothes. They could also carry medicine with them. This way, if in his latest visit to some cookie farm or research facility the Baker gets contaminated with some dangerous substance a cursor will be able to inject the antidote immediately.
#yay i'm up to date now#now i can post some other things here#i am working on a few ideas and managed to actually finish one#:3#cookie clicker#cookie clicker lore#cookie clicker headcanon#also posted on reddit#copied from there#this probably fits better here than on reddit frankly

hi! since you seem pretty pro-ai, i have a question. how do you reconcile that stance with the growing threat ai has on creative jobs? especially right now with the wga strike, when one of their main issues is ai. not trying to trap you or start a fight, just genuinely curious as someone with a foot in both fanfic and professional writing who doesn’t fully know how to feel.
I wouldn't say I'm pro ai in the sense that I think ai is uncritically great.
I think ai is morally neutral, and that it is only getting misused under capitalism.
I am absolutely down for ai being improved upon to progress society, and think ai could actually be a helpful tool for a lot of jobs humans don't want to do!
(Look me in the eye and tell me the current youtube auto generated captions are acceptable. Look my Hard of Hearing ass in the eye.)
That being said, the current people that are funding and working on the ai are scumbags that are clearly in it for a cheap buck and not to progress humanity forwards!
(maybe I'm an optimist, but I want to program something great one day. Something that other programmers build upon, and eventually people are still benefitting from my existence long after I'm gone!)
That being said, it isn't as easy as "magically hope the people behind chatGDP grow a spine or replace them with better people" I feel the the government should regulate ai more, so it isn't down to the morality of the current big name cooperations!
This will likely not happen, since governments always wait to pass laws on technology until it is far too late. I'd say:
If an Ai was used, it has to be disclosed and the programmers who wrote the ai credited.
In order to train a commercial ai on something, you have to either get consent from the people that made it (same as reference photos) or pay them. It should be like stock photos.
The companies shouldn't be able to tell users what they can and can't use the ai for. This is a slippery slope, and I could very easily see it leading to the "sorry, we refuse to write anything thats anti-big company! Sorry (suck my dick)
I think it should be under the same copyright law as fanfiction. You can use an ai to make whatever the fuck you want, but if you sell it the people that came up with the idea can come after you. As for ai completely stealing human jobs, it doesn't seem very likely. Ai automating people out of a job has always been a fear, and writing/art is the least likely field for this to happen in. The ai can't make anything original. If, lets say, the dataset goes up to 2020, then the ai won't be able to comment on modern events in the slightest. An ai can make SW fic, but once a new movie drops, its dataset will no longer be accurate. Therefore, the ai depends on humans to keep datasets up to date. Also, current ai is not good enough to recreate a modern TV show. Have you tried Ai? Do you think you can get it to keep a plot going for more than 1-2 prompts? Let alone an entire 22 minute episode? It'll be all tangential and clunky. even if some person actually wanted to write a show in this way, they'd need human editors to make it make sense. And at that point, if you're already paying humans, there's no point in relying on the ai. Another flaw in this "using ai to write shows approach" is that the ai isn't static? Like, if a new update roles out, the writing of the show can be completely off and that may not be fixable. I don't think anyone in Hollywood would want to put their faith in the competency of a bunch of random programmers.
We should have debated the morality of ai before we made it, if thats what tumblr wants. Its too late now. Can't put the genie back in the bottle.
There's no way that random internet users will have the same impact on the way ai plays out, since its up to the government and big cooperations.
I advise anyone who feels strongly about the subject to lobby to their government (or maybe the ai creators, but the government is your best bet.) instead of trying to peer pressure internet users into a boycott that will not affect shit in any way.

I think what artists, musicians, writers, pretty much every creative person really, all need to understand is that under capitalism, everything they make is worthless. AI, piracy, whatever, they're all just windmills you're tilting at. Even if by some miracle you did manage to defeat it, it would soon be replaced by some other terrible mechanism which alienates you from your creation, because that's how Capitalism works.
This is just the latest iteration of a process that's been happening for over 500 years now. It's just now instead of enclosing a physical commons for the private profit of aristocrats, oligarchs are enclosing the digital commons. Consolidating the public spaces of forums, message boards, webrings, and other democratically driven online spaces into the few mega-sites of Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and so on has run its course. Now the capitalists have turned to trawling the rest of the internet to try and wring whatever value they can get from it.
And just like the process of enclosure or mechanization or industrialization, there's no putting that genie back in the bottle. They've already scoured the internet for untold trillions of pages of data and images and what not. The damage is done. It doesn't matter what further damage is going to come from it either, because the dirty not-so-secret of the tech world is that this is it. They have no more bright ideas. Pretty much every great thing to Google's name, they bought. All their in house initiatives failed. Google video? Google groups? Google glass? They make their money selling ads that nobody cares about. Same with Facebook. They just spent billions to create a crappy Second Life clone that no one gives a fuck about. These tech corporations are massive, lumbering, doomed empires, especially now that covid has pretty much brought the era of 0%-interest loans to an end. Without the billions of dollars of venture capital being pumped into Uber and Twitter and all the rest, now they've got to actually start making money, which none of them are actually able to do. Now they're desperate for some new gimmick to latch onto to try and turn a profit or attract ever dwindling venture capital. Bitcoin was the last big scam. Remember Libra? NFTs were the big thing after that. NFT images! NFT tv shows! NFT games! Here we are a year later and no one fucking talks about them any more. AI is just more of this magic bean bullshit.
Aside from all of that, even if AI was managed to be beaten back, you can assume that whatever the cure the powers that be settle on will be worse than the disease. Whatever "protections" get put into place will only be used against individual artists. At the end of the day, these big corps are just going to end up keeping all the information they've already stolen, the algorithms they used to steal it, and then will put laws into place legitimizing that theft after the fact. You're simply not going to win that fight, because the battle's already been lost.
The only long term solution to this is to attack the root cause, which is a system that relies upon exploitation in order to accumulate profit. Profits are what feed these massive corporate beasts, and as they're starved by falling profits, they'll only grow more ravenous and rapacious. We're only at the opening stages of this trend now, and things are only going to get worse.

May I write a fanfic inspired by your Future Krang Donatello au idea?
Of course! ^ ^ Just please credit me for the original idea. I also give more because I'm happy someone even asked.
Two possible paths for getting a D in the past.
1.
D is one of the original invading Krang. So when Casey Jr goes back in time he not only has to deal with family that looks similar but different and don't remember him, but also what was like his weird uncle who looks almost the same and is the enemy. He knew that since D was a Krang there was a time he was on their side, but actually seeing it?
This could be a good thing though! They got D to join before they could do it again. With how early on it is in the apocalypse D could fix most of, if not all, the damage caused by the Krang! That's what D did, he fixed things! …Everything but himself.
Except it was sensei that got him to join and Casey isn't sure how. Also trying to convince the others that one of the aliens that stole Raph could be an ally isn't going well, especially not with Leo.
Casey unknowingly already starts to make D wander off from the other Krang. How did a human have tech he didn't remember building? It even had his marking! It was going to get to the bottom of this.
2.
D going back in time with Casey. Future Leo doesn't want the kid to go alone and, minus the apocalypse, D has honestly made their lives so much better with his tech. Clean water, fresher air, whatever those weird plants D grew for food. Stuff the turtles didn't have growing up despite April trying her best to make things easier. If Casey Jr was going to be staying there he deserved to not live in conditions worse than the apocalypse.
People in the past, of course, freaked out about the alien that randomly appeared out of nowhere and "abducted" a child. April investigating it meant they didn't have to look for her and saved some time. Also, Casey didn't get hit because D grabbed April's arm to stop her, saving time with the whole unconscious thing. No disbelief on the Krang since D is right there. Did have to stop so Splinter could freak out a bit though.
They were able to get the key before it was even used. D has the footage of the foot clan's faces when they saw him helping stop them saved in a special folder. D almost immediately after starts fixing up the lair. D gets what Leo meant now, there's no way the hatchling should have to live like this. He just soaks up the past turtles' awe.
D keeps poking fun at how tiny past Leo is. When Leo asks how tall he is D shows a life-sized hologram. Raph starts crying. Little brothers aren't supposed to be that big! D shows older Raph and Raph cries tears of relief that he's still big enough to carry his little brother. D thinks it best not to tell him how long ago the photo was taken. Mikey asks about him and cries because he's still so small.
D being blunt with others. Raph and Leo fight and D is tired of it. Raph's just afraid of you getting hurt and Leo's afraid of not being good enough for you so he's purposely failing! Just co-lead or something!
They… really like that idea and decide to try it out. It works pretty well since Raph knows he can rely on Leo's ideas and Leo can rely on Raph's experience and general big brother instincts. If they fail then they can't blame themselves because then they'd be blaming the other too. Wait, does this me Leo has to thank D? Dang it.
Bonus things for both:
D building a technodrome just so I can have Technodrome Shelldon. He grabs the core AI before they leave, either while fighting the other Krang in the past in 1 or escaping with Leo in the future. It took centuries of research and construction to create this one, and it's a shame to just leave it, but it's not what makes his creation truly amazing.
Leo and D getting into a slap fight. D doesn't have hands and it sounds like wet spaghetti hitting a wall. No one can look away.
D making Casey hover skates. They float a couple of inches off the ground and glide smoothly. It takes some practice though and D both holds his hands to keep him steady and will use his body as a crash pad if Casey Jr starts to go out of control. Better slamming into D than a wall. Casey learns pretty fast and can now easily keep up running with the turtles.

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: E-21
Replaces: LYLA Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (2020 film) and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
"I have faith that you can actually do good WITHOUT having to resort to these measures. Don't you remember who you once were? You saved lives out of the goodness in your heart, just like those around you have. Why stop it now? Why when you believe letting others die is what's best for the SEGAVerse?"
E-21 is a special version of one of Movie Eggman's drones from Dimension MOV-2019, but with some special AI built into it.
Hopefully you've caught up with the Lost Memory Sonic explanation, but if you haven't, please do so before reading further. After whatever happened to erase the alternate universe LM!Sonic tried to take residence in, the hedgehog began becoming cold, his sheds of goodwill beginning to die out.
While exploring the multiverse on his own volition, LM!Sonic arrived at Dimension MOV-2019 after Movie Eggman was banished to the Mushroom Planet, but before he came back. The hedgehog took the opportunity to sneak into the doctor's abandoned truck and take one of the drones he left behind, feeling it could come in use.
Using a bit of technical know-how he got from his Tails back when he was still good, he reprogrammed the drone to help him with day-to-day tasks and simply be a companion towards him. The drone's newfound AI in question? It housed the consciousness of none other than the Princess Elise from that destroyed dimension.
The two had genuinely bonded well when LM!Sonic decided to replace the Sonic who died in that dimension, and when he was with her, he seemed to have genuinely found peace with himself, and when around her, he genuinely seemed to be happy. Elise felt the same way herself, at least happy to have a Sonic around as a companion as she adjusted to her new predicament.
Eventually, the two discovered the Quill Society, and Elise as E-21 was more than happy to introduce herself, even getting one of the top positions in the Society. However, it was after that that she and LM!Sonic began to grow distant. He still relied on E-21 for his work, yes, but while she did trust his judgement and fears of getting things wrong, even she found his cold acceptance of people dying concerning.
Elise really wanted LM!Sonic to make the right call for himself and wanted to free his repressed memories to help with that. However, he made it clear that he willingly repressed those memories because of the trauma they bring him, especially the deaths of his Silver and Amy, and that he was through with playing nice as a hero.
She still remained optimistic in her new work in the Quill Society, and even enjoys teasing some of the other members on occasion, such as around Zonic's serious, yet still caring, personality. She was even kind enough to help show OMT!Tails more about the SEGAVerse upon request, and can even show her original body in holographic form.
Later, when instructed to apprehend OMT!Tails during the big chase, E-21 bluntly refused, considering that LM!Sonic was literally the ONLY Quill Society member to have extreme prejudice against the kitsune and the fact she would not willingly harm a child. After LM!Sonic was knocked out of Terminal Velocity later, she decided then and there that he was clearly a bad influence to her now and got him briefly imprisoned.
In the aftermath of OMT!Tails's mission, E-21 was heartbroken to send LM!Sonic away, but by that point, the rogue blue blur's emotions had numbed, all consumed by his one-track-minded hatred for OMT!Tails and his new desire to control people's fates. It took her about a week to get over it, with fellow Quill Society members providing her comfort during that time.
After the events of Many More Heroes, she was able to continue providing good service for the Quill Society, happy to be provided upon for database-searching and general tasks. Sure makes a change from fans hating on her non-stop, huh?

MediaTek Genio’s Wonder: Snorble Children’s Play’s Future!
Due to MediaTek Genio, the Snorble, a Smart Companion for Children, Has Come to Life
What precisely is Snorble, and why does its operation need cutting-edge artificial intelligence and other technological advancements?
Snorble is a revolutionary new intelligent companion toy, and it is driven by a chip manufactured by MediaTek Genio. This toy is at the leading edge because of the innovative method in which it interacts with children and adapts to meet the changing psychological and sleep needs of children as they get older.
The stuffed animal known as Snorble was designed to assist children in establishing not just a regular pattern of restful sleep but also other emotionally wholesome routines, such as positive thinking and mindfulness. It is designed to aid children in accomplishing their goals by hearing, comprehending, and responding to the things that they say to it.
Its face has a moving expression. The ability for parents to keep their Snorbles up to date as their children continue to mature and their needs alter is made possible by the availability of an app for use on smartphones.
In addition to the significant requirements for speech processing and AI processing that this toy has, the technology that powers it must prioritize the privacy and safety of its users. Given that it satisfies all of these characteristics, MediaTek Genio is a fantastic option for accomplishing this objective.
A New Intelligent Companion that Puts Children’s Safety First in the World of Technology has Just Been Released for Young People.
So that it can interact with children and grow with them, Snorble requires sensors that can understand what they are saying and connections that can make product updates easier. Snorble was designed from the bottom up to function without any cameras at all, as an alternative to relying on audio processing that takes place in the cloud or remotely. This action was taken in response to concerns about users’ privacy and safety. Notably, a Wi-Fi connection is not required in order to utilize Snorble on a daily basis like other apps and services.
This eliminates a possible entry point for hackers and boosts mobility (because you do not need a Wi-Fi connection, you are free to take it with you wherever you go since it does not require this). The fact that Snorble executes its processing locally on user devices rather than in the cloud is the primary factor that sets it apart from other voice assistants. When it comes to the specifics of the Snorble’s interaction with the children in their care, parents may have an increased sense of peace of mind as a result of the device’s in-built parental control features, which are included with the product.
The Challenges That Are Presented by Modern Technology
The developers of Snorble needed an ecosystem that could provide all of the following features and functions:
Platform, in both its physical and digital iterations (hardware and software).
Capacity of the central processing unit to manage voice processing for artificial intelligence
Edge AI is a kind of artificial intelligence in which all processing is performed on the device itself, as opposed to being performed on the cloud.
Audio features that are cutting edge, such as the New Language Process (NLP), which can comprehend speech without the need of a dictionary stored in the cloud.
The abbreviation OTA is short for “over the air.”
The MediaTek Genio 350 Is the Solution to This Problem
The CPU that is used in this gadget is the MediaTek Genio 350. This highly integrated System on a Chip (SoC) makes use of a smart Linux application to connect the microphone sensors and run complex artificial intelligence algorithms that are able to genuinely comprehend children and respond with what it is that they need.
In addition, the MediaTek 350 is capable of conducting Edge AI on the smartphone. This includes audio and NLP processing, which may assist with the recognition of words and sounds and even the separation of spoken sentences from a distance, all while decreasing background noise.
Even after a family has purchased a Snorble, the manufacturer has said that it would continue to improve the device by making available for download a variety of extra updates, apps, and features that will broaden the scope of what may be accomplished with the product.

5 tips for web marketing in 2023
How to do web marketing in 2023? In the New Year, web marketing awaits, characterized by the increasingly massive use of artificial intelligence, which helps to help the marketer create content. However, contrary to what many think, it is sure that technology can never completely replace the person with his characteristics, such as empathy and involvement.
So let's see the five useful tips for successful digital marketing in 2023 in this blog dedicated to the world of the Web!
The importance of data-driven predictive analytics
This is the so-called forecast for advertising, which becomes fundamental in the daily activity of those who do marketing. In this case, powerful mathematical models guide business decisions and advertising investments, discovering new developments and potential. However, today only 51% of companies have access to a single database related to the business, and few understand how profitable it is to streamline data acquisition to offer customers personalized experiences.
The importance of investing in customer service
In 2022 there was a lot of talk about the end of the funnel, and in this sense, HubSpot indicates, among the trends of 2023, the need to use the archetype of the flywheel. Today, the end of the funnel is customer service, which enables the company to grow through word of mouth. For this reason, planning listening and dialogue activities with those who choose the company to become fundamental.
Communicating your values: a fundamental element of web marketing in 2023
Web marketing in 2023 means having the ability to communicate the company's values. Only the communication of your values allows you to create a deep connection with customers. In this case, content marketing plays a fundamental role in communicating corporate social responsibility.
Personalize the user experience
74% of surfers do not like browsing non-personalized pages, and those who have been able to offer the user a personalized experience have seen a 19% increase in sales. In this case, you can rely on AI and algorithms to create a personalized landing page based on previous searches and user tastes. Of course, the best user experience must also and, above all, be guaranteed by mobile.
Work with an integrated strategy
Web marketing in 2023 is characterized by an integrated strategy and a multi-channel user experience, which puts those involved in Strategy, Advertising, UX and Data analysis side by side in order to enhance information and data, using them effectively.
In conclusion, these are the five trends that will characterize web marketing in 2023, trends that no company can ignore if it wants to be successful online.

Pong (Arcade)
Developed/Published by: Atari Released: 29/11/1972 Completed: 19/10/2022 Completion: Beat the Atari Flashbacks Classics AI opponent on medium. Version played: Atari Flashback Classics (Switch) / Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (Switch) Trophies / Achievements: n/a
I was once in a room with Nolan Bushnell, Eugene Jarvis, Will Wright, probably a bunch of other famous game developers I forget, and Robin Williams. I don’t think of it often, but every once in a while I’m like “oh yeah, that happened.” I remember mostly talking to Eugene Jarvis about how much I loved Defender and Robotron but also how much I sucked at them. Jarvis wasn’t much impressed. I mean, he liked the praise! He just felt I should be able to get further than a few levels into Defender.
I didn’t talk to Bushnell, and I don’t think I’d have much to say, considering I didn’t grow up with Chuck E. Cheese, or an Atari 2600–one because I’m not American, the other because I’m not a billion years old. And the only other things about Bushnell I remember off the top of my head now and I’m sure then are that Computer Space was too complicated and Pong was a direct rip-off of the Magnavox Odyssey’s Table Tennis game.
Which it is. Interestingly, as Computer Space is a simplified version of Spacewar!, Pong is a simplified version of Tennis in some ways too. While the Odyssey’s Table Tennis doesn’t have a score, you can move horizontally (er, anywhere on the screen…) and even put “english” on the ball directly (rather than relying on hitting the ball at the right part of your bat). But it’d be hard to say that Pong doesn’t improve upon Table Tennis even if Bushnell was a dick about it later (“The fact is that I absolutely did see the Odyssey game and I didn't think it was very clever” he’d say decades after Atari had to stump up a $1.5 million license fee).
The thing is… Pong is… kinda good? It’s simple af, but moving the paddles feels good (not so much on either of the switch ports, but I’ve played it at like… the Musee Mechanique, I think? And those knobs are smooth.) It is, simply, entertaining to try and get the ball past your opponent 11 times. It’s even thrilling as they knock one or two past you early and you have to fight your way back. Unlike Spacewar! I can imagine playing this relentlessly for want of anything better, whereas with Spacewar! I’d probably… read a book or something instead.
So… Pong. Holds up.
Will I ever play it again? Those knobs are smooth. You heard me.
Final Thought: And the paddle the paddle to the side to the side / To the side to the side and the paddle the paddle / The paddle the paddle to the side to the side / Pong!

This is weird because it's less novel/fic writing advice and general writing career advice.
Do you write fanfic or just post stories online? Do you have decent engagement from a fair sized audience in proportion to your fandom? Are you willing to get a little weird in order to definitely stand out in an interview setting?
Look into social media, content writing, and copywriting jobs and fucking SHARE THAT. I know it sounds crazy, but don't think that they'll judge your ship. They probably will have no opinion on your ship. If you're able to prove in a real-world setting that you can grow and maintain an audience through your online words, that opens you up to actual, viable employment.
Say a queer nonprofit is looking for a content writer for their blog. You write queer fanfic that fits their energy and a decent amount of people like it (doesn't have to be a huge amount, especially if it's a local nonprofit). You don't even have to share the fic itself, just the analytics and whatever relevant data. This is a risk, but it also puts you ahead of the game of other applicants that have zero proof that people will read and ENGAGE (Kudos/comments, so important) with what they write.
You have so many options for this. If you're young, nonprofit experience, even volunteer, looks good. You'll get a more varied writing experience. Paid social media pays pretty good and is usually flexible and remote. Ghostwriting can be risker but if you cant work out of the house it helps. Copywriting for marketing is a pretty fun puzzle assuming your agency actually cares about its writers and not just relies on AI. Honestly, even writing a massive fic in a short span of time is worth mentioning for data entry or typing jobs where you can just put on your headphones and go wild.
Novels aren't the only option guys! The fic pipeline ends in many many ways to make money if you're willing to get weird!
(I'm willing to answer questions about this if needed)
❝ I wish I could say fanfic writing as a part of my special skills while applying for a job ❞ and what if I say you actually can? because writing fanfic can actually be used as a part of your special skills while applying for a job and it is valid. writing is writing. literally the only thing differentiate fanfic writers from writers who publish and sell original works is that fanfic writers can’t publish and sell their works. that’s all. that’s the only difference. don’t let anyone tell you “fanfic writers aren’t real writers because their works aren’t as good as those of writers who write and sell original works” because that’s utter bullshit. I’ve read so many well written fanfics that are so much better than some published original novels. (here’s the proof.)
wanna know the trick? if you don’t think you’re gonna be taken seriously if you say you write fanfics while in a job interview, then say creative writing. because writing fanfics is considered creative writing. it is creative writing.
fanfic writers can write novel-length fiction, fanfic writers can write as good as any other writers who write original works if not better. fanfic writers are writers and they are just as valid.
you, a fanfic writer, may even be more dedicated and passionate than writers who sell original works because, while they write because it’s their job, you literally write 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 free 👏🏻 out 👏🏻 of 👏🏻 pure 👏🏻 love 👏🏻 and 👏🏻 passion.
that’s a whole novel and you wrote that with pure love and passion. that’s pretty mind blowing.
so yes, you absolutely can and should say creative writing while applying for a job, and say it proudly. you are a writer.
