Whatever happens it is not above your ability to survive. Hold your friends close. Connect to your local community. "Gender" the way I use it is so, so far from its original definition. It is the word I'm using to mean "personal identity".

Their version of gender is based on those stereotypes about birth sexes, and comes with precise roles, behaviors, and places within a social hierarchy all based on your birth sex and the traits they think that biology gives you.

Transphobic radfems, terfs, and gender critical feminists also believe in two binary sexes that are rigidly based on birth sex and are unchangeable. Some of them believe just like the patriarchy that your birth sex determines your behaviors, that males are "inherently" violent, and females are "inherently" weaker. In fact, they believe that these biological qualities are WHY men invented the patriarchy in the first place: it's baked into their biology to oppress women. That's why so many of them are female separatists or female supremacists.

While I do really like Dave's character as it exists in the comic- no clue what version of Dave most of the fandom is talking about, but I don't know him- I kind of like the themes in Davesprite's character more than I do Dave's. It's another Hal situation.

Dave's character tackled a lot of things very personally relatable to me in ways I'd never seen illustrated before, but Davesprite is more interesting to think about, and seems a little more fun to write. Dave was great representation for me, as someone who grew up in a very bad home, but Davesprite just has that extra oomph with his talk of humanity and individuality. Really like that guy.

This may come across as crass, or stepping out of my own lane, but I don't think giving them either multiple sets of pronouns, neopronouns, or both actually rids them of the bigotry in their characters. Lipstick on a pig situation. It just seems like a lazy, incurious fix. Yes, trans headcanons are great, but more and more often I see people use it as a cure-all to the issues a character has, either in a Doylist or Watsonian way. Queer friendliness does not eliminate racism. If a character is a bigoted caricature of a specific group of people, then slapping on a leftist layer of paint by saying "actually they're a minority icon in this other way" doesn't actually... Get rid of the problem. It's just kind of... Tone deaf.

We see this often with Transmisogynistic Caricatures getting claimed as Gay Icons, and people just saying that because they've just claimed them as a campy gay queen, the transmisogyny has been nullified- you can't talk about it anymore, they're the real good leftist in the room, you're a killjoy, and they've defeated bigotry. Not how it works.

Okay, this is less of an Unpopular Opinion, and more of an Unpopular Fact, but... Mituna doesn't just throw slurs at people. That's one of the things people jump to when they're talking about Defanging Mituna- they always say something about how he "calls people slurs every two seconds". He literally doesn't. That is legitimately not a thing he does. If you heard that before and believed it, you were literally lied to. That is straight up demonstrably not true.

Like, if you're trying to think of something Mituna does every two seconds unprompted, it's either sex jokes or apologizing. Slurs aren't a thing he just slings around casually. He said a grand total of one slur... To Meenah... And it's a fake troll slur. And then we get it defined to us... Aaaand it's the troll equivalent to "Cracker". That's it. That's the crime he's committed- calling someone a word that is immediately after defined to us as "Someone who is at the top of and benefits from the furthering of the oppressive Fuchsia-Down power structure, and the Lowbloods that help enforce it." That's the slur he used. That's what made people start declaring that "he would totally say the N Word" with full and complete confidence. Absolutely ridiculous. Religion is a touchy subject, I personally didn't grow up in an extremely religious household so I won't be able to fully relate or understand how this makes you feel.

I don't think religion should dictate whether or not you should love someone for the way that are. There is a phrase "there is no hate like christian love" that reminds me of how you are reacting to your sibling wanting to use neopronouns. You may think what you're doing will keep flower safe, but it won't.

There is nothing to fix. That's just how flower is. No amount of prayer or religious camps will change flower. Rejecting flowers identity will only hurt flower.

I know this is almost exactly what you said in your response to my ask about him, and I honestly 1000% agree with your reasoning. I will also admit the way I view him is heavily influenced by my own experiences with gender and sexuality (minus the demisexual part). During the timeline of the game, I see Riddle as pre-everything, likely due to discouragement or fearmongering by his mother. Even after moving out of his mother's house, I honestly don't really see him transitioning medically; however, I think that would be a conclusion he would come to on his own after extensive research rather than due to his mother's influence. I also think he would use neopronouns if he didn't feel like he would be breaking some unspoken rule by doing so. I don't really feel the need to explain why I think he's gay to be honest, but as for his demisexuality, I will introduce my Treyrid agenda. I feel like the connection Riddle forms with Trey in their childhood ultimately blossoms into romantic and sexual feelings after reuniting at Night Raven. Since this would likely be his only experience with such feelings up to that point, I can see it greatly influencing the way he views his own attraction from that point forward.

I'll admit, I don't really have a ton of specific thoughts about Ace. Most of this headcanon comes purely from vibes. Ace feels like a fuckboy to me. He feels like the type of guy that would hook up with dudes and then make some excuse as to why it isn't gay because "we kept our socks on, guys!" and "what's a little dick-sucking between bros?". He'd probably treat sex pretty casually and thus not really understand why people think that because he fucks dudes he has to be gay. I think as he gets older and works past some of his internalized homophobia though, he'd probably end up coming to terms with his attraction towards guys and identifying as bisexual. As for the aromantic part, I feel like I need only direct you to his Suitor Suit vignette. This is one of many lines that sparked this half of my headcanon.

This headcanon honestly rubbed off on me from my boyfriend. He's a bi trans guy who projects heavily on Deuce, so I basically absorbed his thoughts and ideas through osmosis. I honestly kinda just want to direct you to this post of his because his Deuce takes are so perfect I have nothing to add to them. I love you sukeban girl gang delinquent Deuce. I love you Deuce who is attracted to anyone who could beat him up. Unlike Riddle, I think Deuce is on T by the time he's enrolled at Night Raven. This is partially because I think his mom would be way more supportive than Riddle's would be.

Back at it again with my Treyrid agenda! I really enjoy seeing and writing relationships between cisgender gay guys and transgender gay guys, since I personally feel that there's a strong sense of gender euphoria to be found in that situation: for someone who likes men to see you fully as a man and be attracted to you as a man. All that's to say that my headcanon for Riddle has heavily influenced the way I view Trey as well, since their relationship is one I'm extremely attached to. I don't really have any specific support or evidence for this one. Like with Ace, it's sorta just the vibes I get from him. Trey is like the epitome of that "I'm not gay enough for the gays" Reddit post to me.

Sometimes for me it truly is just about the vibes, and Cater gives me the vibes of someone who doesn't fuck with either side of the gender binary. I do think they still present as mostly masc and tend to avoid more traditionally feminine clothes and accessories due to trauma involving their older sisters, but I also don't really think they fully click with the idea of manhood either. They're literally just hanging out. Also, I may not be fully informed on this given that I only play on the EN server, but isn't bisexual Cater basically confirmed in the JP version? I've seen a lot of posts supporting it, so like... is it even a headcanon at this point?

Random Headcanon: OK THIS ONE ISN'T RANDOM BUT LET'S GET THIS OUT OF THE WAY; THIS IS NOT A CHILD. I've seen quite a few people interpret them as such and while I somewhat understand the sentiment THAT'S A SUCCUBUS, THIS CHARACTER IS DESIGNED AND THEMED AFTER SUCCUBI, sure they don't actually have sex with you and steal your energy and/or kill you, but the visual traits are absolutely there and they do still charm/hypnotize people and steal their energy that way with a bunch of heart imagery attached, alongside the little black bat-like wings that are so customary in pop culture succubus depictions. And that's not even considering all the ridiculously slutty lines that they have. Seriously, it's almost baffling this kind of character can make it into Cookie Run, let alone Ovenbreak, but I'm here for it <3. Anyways, they still are probably the youngest of the dragons even if they're an adult. That, or... Maybe they're a runt? No following, smaller size, powers that focus less on actual destruction or raw power and more on getting what they need through other more manipulative methods... Hell, they're probably the weakest of the dragons, as far as physical force alone goes. Unless later updates give us evidence of the contrary, maybe it's the lack of worship and power compared to the other dragons that made them such a powerhungry conniving little shithead.

Neopronouns are not even real pronouns. A pronoun is a noun used to describe a living being. They/Them is fine, they are real pronouns used in the English language. And yes, while I think there is no possible way for someone who has boy or girl genes to actually be non-binary, I will respect them as a person. But, neopronouns, however, are way over the top. I’ve seen people online who identify as like, xe/xem. That’s ridiculous, they’re not even a part of the English language. I’ve seen one person who identified as shark/sharkself. That is so annoying. I’m not gonna call you “shark” bro. Nobody is gonna call you that, except for maybe people as delusional as you. So, I’m conclusion, yes, neopronouns are ridiculous and stupid and unnecessary. Whoever uses them certainly needs mental help, but instead we are celebrating and giving them parades and telling them it’s fine and not stupid at all to identify as a fucking shark.

That being said, if we Normalize these outrageous neopronouns, I don't think I'll be able to handle meeting another three or more person with unique neopronouns, I don’t think I'll care about memorizing them if we don’t get along. I can only imagine that inside their head they are going like “Why can’t everyone understand me? why can’t anyone respect me? why can’t anyone get along with me? me… me…me…”. This is just starting to become a narcissistic play.  It’s just sad that you yourself are intentionally creating a situation that excludes you from other people. You are making yourself too different, you eventually get depressed, commit die and well, will anybody care about you in the end?

Pronouns replace nouns and they are a part of a language. Not something we just make up because we think we are more special than anyone else.

Also, this stuff only appeals to children, or adults with some sort of arrested development. No mature human being would want to go by “cupcakeself”.

We all have names. If you want to rebel against pronouns why can’t you just use your name? Be “Johnself” or “Sallyself” or something people can remember. We aren’t going to trouble ourselves to memorize some made up nounself words.

they forgot to give calculester a gender when they were setting him up, and now he's just kinda stuck like that? he/him in the same way you might refer to a small animal or dog you don't know, or in the way you might he/him a plant that's slightly wilting or needs more sun.

if miranda wants people to stop asking her about her gender, liam wants people to keep asking him about his gender. keeps telling people more and more things about his gender and less and less does it make any sense to anyone who is not himself. has powerpoints with occult diagrams to explain his gender. wrote a thesis statement about his gender. you ask him about his gender and you come away with homework and a reading list of all the tomes you need to understand his gender. keeps switching up what pronouns he uses, and will decide on a whim that he's not accepting one or the other anymore, sometimes mid-conversation or even mid-sentence.
