well, since the Dream SMP has officially come to a close, I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to for the past 2 years - making character designs for every single one of the characters!

 I really wanted every character to look distinct, with really distinct color pallets, unique weapons for each and every character - basically like each one of them could be the protagonist of a wildly different story from one another. Feel free to steal them (with credit) if you want!

I kinda dropped off working on it in late 2022, so I think I missed a few characters, as well as going back and re-doing some of the oldest ones (that’s why some of them are more detailed - those are the 2023 versions)

As strange as it is for me to say this, DSMP had such a big impact on me, especially over COVID. I haven’t had a piece of media fill me with such a passion to create art and improve probably since Undertale all the way back in 2015, if you can believe it. I owe a lot of my art improvement to this silly little Minecraft series, and though I may have lost touch with it near the end, it will always hold a special place in my heart. 

o7 you crazy, wacky, depressing, stupid, unsatisfying, joyful, hilarious, and amazing series. I wish everyone involved in it the best!

This is a 2020 Pogtopia Wilbur I made, and if I were to draw it now, I probably wouldn’t change a thing. This design fucking slaps imo, I’m still super proud of it. 

Exile Era Tommy. Wilbur’s old Pogtopia coat has been passed around so many times between so many different interpretations of characters, so I thought it made more sense for Tommy to take the L’Manberg era coat from Wilbur, since that was the version of him he idolized (This is an old version of Wilbur’s coat btw)

Post Dream-Getting-Sent-To-Prison Tommy! I wanted to emphasize how Tommy was trying to move past his trauma, so he shaved off the grey streak he got from the Withers in the L’Manberg explosions (I gave him the grey streaks before Revival canonized it - don’t ask me why)

Las Nevadas Quackity. It’s basically a 1 to 1 for his skin, save for the really ugly blue patches and hoodie I gave him. If I were to do it again, I would def change that. 

Snowchester Tubbo. Also still holds up, though I’m not 100% on the pants. This was kinda before goat Tubbo got super canonized, so I just decided to have the eyes. The scars are from the execution. 

Revivbur. He looks pretty good for a dead bitch - though I messed up the L’Manberg flag colors on the bandanna on his ankle. Guess he’s french now. 

Team Rocket era Niki! She took custody of Wilbur’s Pogtopia coat, albiet cutting off the parts that were covered in blood and soot (which was most of it) I also made her a fire-born like Sapnap, though you can’t see from his design - her hair is on fire when she feels strong emotions, and she’s basically going through it 24/7 during this part. 

Syndicate Niki! She’s calmed down and is no longer on fire, but her hair is still pink from all those weeks of constant rage and sadness. Also dressed more appropriately for the snow. 

Dream Post Prison. Mask no longer has invisibility enchantments, so he doesn’t bother hiding his face. Gotta wonder how it’s staying on though. Get this man some moisturizer.

Just wondering but aside from geronimo/thea sisters, what other fandoms you have been into? I seen that you are into pokemon and demon slayer

Geronimo and Thea Stilton is really my homebase, but for other things that interest me hmmmm

I'm into Pokemon, but I'm not really a gaming fanatic about it. I'm more of a fandom osmosis type of person because of financial reasons. The only Pokemon games I've played are Ruby, Emerald, and Platinum, and Platinum wasn't a legit copy (it was a computer ROM), and I played it recently so uh yeah. My first Platinum run was a Nuzlocke so that's fun :D Maybe I can talk about that sometime :D

Lil' extra part of the Pokemon thing, the Nuzlocke and VGC corners of the fandom are the ones I currently visit frequently

I've been keeping up with the BNHA manga's recent chapters lately, not because I'm a crazy BNHA fan, but because I'm kinda curious about how that's going down. I could care less about the flaws in the manga at this point, I jus wanna see how all that's gonna go down :3

I used to be in the FNaF fandom during its prime, but I kinda stopped keeping track of it as a whole since UCN and FNaF VR. Recently took a peek at some Security Breach stuff and all I gotta say is Glamrock Freddy is best dad

I was also in the BATIM fandom back in the day, but if I remember correctly I fell out of it gradually after the chapter with uh good Alice and mech hand Boris, I forgor their names haha

Minecraft I guess is my most consistent fandom because I'd been in it since the old Minecraft parody days. Really loved the Cops and Robbers stuff from that time, the Minecraft parodies, DanTDM's Minecraft era, Hermitcraft 6, and now Cobblemon (the new Minecraft Pokemon mod). I'm jus vibin, hanging around in the community

I got into the Technoblade fandom either in the aftermath of SAD-ist's Hog Hunt or the aftermath of the Dream vs Technoblade battle (memory's not great in that regard), and I stayed ever since. Kept up with some of his DSMP stuff and regularly watched his videos. Still do. Rest in power, my king.

The QSMP is something I'm passively keeping tabs on, mainly because my girl Jaiden Animations is there doing stuff. I myself am not watching the streams because my attention span just can't keep up with that, but I assure you, I do go into the q!jaiden tag on Tumblr every now and then to peep what's going on. QSMP people please I need help what happened to Jaiden please I miss her /j

Anyway those are all the fandoms I can remember being in, hope I sufficiently answered your question ^^

And plot hmmhmh. I have the very foundation of a plot, but nothing solid planned yet!!! I’m hoping to come up with that soon, but I’ll tell u what I’ve got so far

This all stemmed from gorgon ranboo ngl bc medusa>> I’ve been trying to decide between having it in a modern setting or set in ancient Greece since I started but it's essentially the same idea anyway, just with a different setting.

My only. Solid plot at the moment - because i am genuinely awful at coming up with a coherent storyline i just like brainstorming little ideas - is: tommy and tubbo leave their home to set out on an adventure, meet ranboo, who they initially mistake for a monster like, following/watching them b4 realising he just has no people skills and decide to drag him along with them and go off to fuck shit up. The rest of the dsmp/osmp cast will more than likely make an appearance if i do manage to think of a proper plot, but this is why i draw and not write gjnjdks. I think if it's a modern setting, then some of them would already be at the camp, in the ancient setting most of them would be characters they met along the way.

Tommy’s the son of Hermes, no genuine powers passed down except slightly quicker just like origins lmfao (mentally too!! very quick thinking, good in stressful situations), met tubbo when he was younger and the two have been inseparable since. He uses a sword he’s had since around 12 - If it’s a pjo au tubbo was the satyr in charge of taking him to camp, lol Anyway, regardless of what era, tommy gets tasked with a quest. Or he just fucks off to do his own thing (unsure on which), brings tubbo along with him, they cause a lot of death and destruction. the end. And then they meet ranboo and the cycle continues.

Tubbo!!! Light of my life!!! Little bastard!!!! Tubbo’s a satyr but also a son of Hephaestus, bc I mean. They’re the gods i was always wondering why the only kids in chb were half human like cmon. Once again no real powers just the ability to create weapons of mass destruction and also hammers that are taller than he is. Tubbo is by far the physically strongest of the 3 bc the other 2 r like noodles. If he has the scars on his face in this au I think it’s going to be an accident in the forge that wasn’t caused by him, he just got caught in the crossfire. Massive enabler of tommy’s bad ideas much to the chagrin of literally everyone else around them.

Ranboo is the son of a gorgon, not sure if medusa or one of her sisters, but it’s at least one snake lady and ???? (once again. Monster kids Should’ve been a thing i’ll die on this hill) – he can’t turn people to stone but i wanted to try and play off that one scene with enderwalk ranboo and puffy where she said looking into his eyes paralysed her, so he just. freezes people in place when they make eye contact instead- it breaks when he blinks/looks away tho. Hence the blindfold they wear (which is possible to see through, but barely), and if it’s the modern au tommy gives him some sunglasses to stop that (trying to figure out if tommy/tubbo can just. Invent sunglasses for the ancient version).

Happy Doomcraft Doomsday 2022!

After the fall of the Hermitblr Discord Server back in January 2022, Demise has come back - this time on a different Server with a different name, Doomsday! The event is modded by the wonderful @ambered-glazed-sheep and their amazing mod team! This year, there are 16 players, and I'm really excited to try to hit at least everyone once or twice!

The Rules are:

You can only attack people who are participating in the event! (Of course, you can still draw characters of other people! However, that will not be considered part of Doomsday)

You can attack other participants by putting your creation of their character into doomsday-attacks and pinging them on Discord.

You can't attack the same person again until they've defended themselves from your first attack, or died.

If you are attacked, you can defend yourself (by creating art for your attacker) within a timeframe of 48 hours.

You only get one life!

You can defend for other people!

You can check whether a person is alive or dead by their roles (on Discord).

There are no specific rules about forming teams!

Attacks don't have to be murder/Halloween themed! However, they can be!

If you want to draw something more dark or bloody, please check the refs channel beforehand to see if the person you're attacking specified anything about that.

You can sign out of the event at any time, just let a mod know!

The sign-ups closed Sep 29th and the game started 8am CEST and there's already been so many attacks! I cannot wait to see how everything turns out and who will be the winners this year!

Each person was able to submit 5 characters into the game, and I put in four!

9w3n 0 (Gwen Cypher) (They/It/She)

They are a character I played on the New Dawn SMP back in Nov. 2021 (I haven't redrawn her ref in a while haha). They are very nervous and doesn't know a lot of stuff from this era and is most familiar with things from the Beta update, like Red Beds and wolves. Endermen are new to them, and whatever a stronghold is? They are very drawn to it and all the new things like Fences!!! What do you mean, they came out several years ago? And where’s her friends? What do you mean Herobrine isn’t real? They are an Allay Elf Hybrid, think BIG rounded ears with blue insides, small wings, and occasionally a tail!

Milo Fern (He/Him)

(I don't have a good photo of Milo yet) Milo is a character I made back in 2020/early 2021 from a TikTok OC challenge about mixing three DSMP creators and seeing what you make! I combined Wilbur Soot, Fundy, and Ranboo and got Milo. He’s played a part of a helpful farm boy who loves to play guitar and hang out with his boyfriend. He has a lot of anxiety and can be very paranoid. He loves redstone, but feels like it’s going to explode if he gets a small detail wrong. Milo's also a retired L'manburg soldier, but I don't really know how to work that into his story yet.

Scaps K. Pigeon-Patch (He/They)

My rip-off GoodtimeswithScar D&D character.

(This image has his backpack on, the one I posted on the Doomcraft server doesn't have it.) He’s just a halfling with elf like ears and sometimes a tail. When I originally designed him I was thinking of the Borrowers and the Littles, I wanted him to have those vibes. He likes to bite people when they try to shake his hand. My DM wrote my backstory and I won't put it here just in case someone in my campaign sees this. He likes to eat soap :)

Penelope “Poppy” System (They/She/He/It)

It's just IRL me, I wanted to add ghostbuster stuff because that's what I've been into recently and I did draw that photo of my buddy Dylan sooo... I used that photo for convenience.

I cannot wait to see what other attacks happen, and I am so glad to be a part of this, this year! I'll be posting my attacks here and @ing the people I attack, so please be on the lookout for that!

Sorry to hear about your health issues, that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm glad to have you vibing here though, you always make my days a bit better :)

Next time I feel like doing maths I'll make little graphs or something for my fandoms and ships, I'm really getting into the question now haha. But I'll have you know that Obikin is pretty small compared to Reylo and Kylux actually! The biggest relationship tags on AO3 for SW all media types are more or less Reylo, Reylo again (but this time it's Ben/Rey), Kylux, more Reylo (but they're friends), more Kylux (but it's Benarmie), and like Han/Leia in 10th position. Reylo is at around 20k fics and Kylux a bit over 11k, which isn't Drarry or Destiel or Johnlock or whatever the biggest DSMP ship is type of numbers, but they're clearly the biggest SW ships on AO3 by comparison. Anyway :')) but yeah it's always fascinating looking into fandom stuff! We have to do a presentation about specific vocabularies in one of my classes (language student, all that) and I'm 100% doing it on fandom terms, it's gonna be so much fun. (I actually wonder how that sense of "oh that's a fixed point in time" works? I also saw a lot of respecting the canon relationships by acknowledging them and then saying "but it didn't work out" in HP fics too, which I think is pretty nice considering some fandoms attack and bash female characters just because they're paired off with the guys they want to ship, when it's not their fault really - and I lost what I was saying)

Oh I can definitely talk about her here! When I get around to drawing her and feel less shy about being off-anon, I'll send you drawings even :') I didn't want to create a human because I already have lots of those and if you're creating a SW OC, might as well make them a funky little alien y'know? So she's a Pau'an, her name is Cehim. They're the creepy looking ones that live on Utapau, and yeah they don't look very, um, well they are creepy and weird, but I think the huge red bags under their eyes and the ear-protections because their eating is sensitive are cool and I really vibe with them being tall but still wearing clothes that make them look taller haha. I hadn't even noticed at first but they live hundreds of years, which is honestly perfect, because that way I have an excuse to have her see a lot of canon characters and have weird and useless interactions with them and I don't have to restrict myself to a specific era, which wasn't intentional but now I really like it. She's a mapmaker, she creates old-fashioned maps as decoration for wealthy people who want to fill their too-big houses with trinkets and collectors/art lovers (and she also collects them, that launched me into a whole rabbit hole of what kind of maps they would have in SW). In general she really likes the stars, so she saved up enough to buy a spaceship and then left for space, and now she just visits planets that are fun (and not currently at war) and makes friends and draws maps. I think it would be funny if she was back on Utapau when the whole thing at the end of ep 3 happened haha. In general I like having my characters as randos in the background if I put them near canon, important characters, because otherwise I'd feel bad about it (how I love internalising all that stuff about Mary-Sues when I was young!). So she was there and maybe she sneaked out to see what was happening if she heard noise and she saw Obi-Wan for like a minute :')) but yeah it's definitely fun, the universe is so interesting it's a pleasure! It's super cool to hear you're creating some too, it gets really interesting (and complicated) when you have multiple of them and they're all interlinked in some way.

I love Bespin too, I think the idea of Cloud City is so fun? And yeah, I'm just picking some at random and seeing which ones stick haha

Yeah ships have definitely brought me back to certain fandoms too, like I accidentally get into a ship when I was just giving it a chance or thinking the fic was just gen, and then when I pick the fandom back up months later it's because I was reminded of those characters I love and their dynamics. I certainly am glad to be here right now, though it does feel funny to be back into a fandom where some fics were published when I couldn't have read them yet, it's a nice change from the Kylux side for example (even if it still manages to feel old with all the deleted stuff I see traces of). I just love fandoms with long histories, they're so fun.

I actually do have a few questions! I see people giving Dooku the first name Yan, and I could not for the life of me figure out where that came from? People have been asking what his first name is a lot throughout the years, and they either get answered that Dooku is his first name and his last name is Serenno, because he's the count, and I've also seen joke names or that one that starts with a J that's apparently a rumor caused by a guy who pretended to be close to Lucas when he was bullshitting everything? But no one mentions Yan except a few fics I read and some people on Tumblr. Is this a "the Dark Mark is always black" situation, where people just forget what's canon and what's not ? (the Dark Mark turns black when in use but is otherwise red, in case you were wondering, so all the cool post-Voldemort fanarts with a black mark get it wrong even if it does create a vibe) Cause that happens a fair bit in fandoms :') but I'm still curious of where that originated. Anyway. I also thought about something else and I couldn't find the answer either but I totally forgot so uh we'll skip that one :') But thank you for listening to me and just letting me ask questions, it's very nice of you :)

I really can't believe kylux is that popular! Going through the tag on here it seems like theres not much interest, and I'm doing the kylux big bang this year and it feels like theres significantly less people than there was last year. Compared to the obikin population on here, it really does feel like they should be about equal 😅 but thats so cool, more content to read for when I can finally stand reading again!! Im also not surprised reylo has that many fics, its a great ship and canon too, the reylos got super lucky with that i won't deny it! I say that like I myself was not a reylo blogger back in 2016 lmao, but let's be real it is cute (but thats such a side tangent omfg I could ramble about ships at length)

Omg a presentation about fandom terms sounds so interesting! Im not sure what you mean by "fixed point in time," but would it perhaps be helpful to use something like Internet Archive to see exactly what xyz fandom place used to be like back in the day? Oh, and there's still places on ff./net that still contain the usual system of identifying fic, I know my old fics on there still say stuff like "slash" and my bookmarks are filled with terms that are out of use today. Im sure if you went back even further to LiveJournal you'd find even more!

Hey, re: bashing female characters just for being canonically with male characters, i remember back in the shipping wars of the Hetalia fandom (maybe 2012-2016ish?) there was a ton of hate going around for the nyotalia characters, which are the characters but genderswapped. It stemmed from this idea that shipping two men characters, but one of them being genderswapped to be a woman, was actually homophobic or smth? Thats not quite the same as what you're talking about, I've gotten lucky that the media I've consumed hasn't had fandoms like that (as far as I'm aware), but its so weird when fandoms trash the women characters like my dude. Really??? Im not really sure where exactly I was going with that but like fandoms are wack and its kinda crazy what people will say

Wow Cehim sounds amazing!! I love seeing the Pau'an getting some love too, they're such a cool species and to live on a planet like Utapau you have to be pretty tough in the first place. The maps she makes, are they holoprojected or some kind of flimsi? Or even something else, maybe some kind of metal relief?

And I totally get that about Mary Sues, i still feel pretty similar every time I make an oc lol. Its hard to get over that, like its so ingrained to be mindful of it and the worst part is, its an objectively little thing to worry about! Fanfiction is meant to be an escape, if someone wants an op self-insert they should totally get that! Sorry, I have very strong opinions on this 😅

Is,,,,is Yan not Dooku's first name?? (After a brief search of wookiepedia,,,,) huh. It must be one of those fanon things then, yeah kinda like the "dark mark is black" fanon. I havent seen much Dooku content in general tbch, I mostly see him in relation to quiobi content. It makes sense that someone would have a good, solid theory or headcanon that just gets accepted, thats how a lot of fanon gets made. Kinda like the obikin "dear one," because Obi-Wan never says that specific endearment in all of canon. Yan def fits Dooku though, like of all the names he could have been giving by the fandom, thats a very good one yknow

I also feel that "i know how I'd react to them but what if they have a real life" all the time, and I gotta say its crippling lmao. So please let me reassure you, im more than happy to make time for this! I know this is certainly not the case for everyone, but I actually treat my fanficition writing very seriously, so the bulk of my day is spent either on tumblr or consuming canon or writing, whether writing be drafting or constructing backstory or world building. Im lucky enough to be able to treat my fandom experience this way, as I dont work very often, but the point im getting at is im always so so excited to talk about fandom, especially Star Wars. Star Wars is legitimately my special interest too! So even when im not writing im still actively researching stuff, or reading a sw novel, or something of the sort, I basically breathe it at this point and its always so so lovely to find someone who is just as happy to talk about it with me!!

And trust me when I say, novel length asks are wonderful to receive! I love getting to think through every point you make, I really appreciate you taking the time to come here and have an indepth conversation about SW!! Its super fun for me too :)

back with some more c!krabs lore!! (respond when you want!)

i believe c!krabs showed up to the smp around maybe the elections. she had wandered behind the stage right before the parties were about to give their campaigns. she was shooed out by c!tommy and into the crowd, mistaken for just another overlooked citizen. since she was already there during the elections, c!schlatt essentially forced c!krabs to join manburg since she was already in the nation and he could take advantage of her since she was so new and confused. c!krabs actually is old friends with c!tubbo and c!fundy! c!krabs and c!tubbo used to be pen pals, actually! when they were still just sending letters to each other, he had promised to take her out to dinner someday as homies. once they realized who each other was when they met in the dsmp, c!tubbo already had his thing going on with c!ranboo so he instead made c!krabs have dinner with michael. she was a bit upset, but had a nice time with michael despite the language barrier! michael gave c!krabs a dandelion during the dinner, so for a lot of the time it was just them giving each other the same dandelion back and forth to share the serotonin and good vibes!

c!krabs knows c!fundy because of the pen pal thing with c!tubbo! c!tubbo used to talk about the conversations he had with c!krabs to c!fundy every now and again, which is how c!fundy is familiar with c!krabs. c!fundy was intrigued, so then he started sending letters to c!krabs and then the two of them started talking! when they met in the dsmp, c!krabs was happy that she finally got to meet him but he grew distant with helping rule manburg. now in more recent times, c!fundy tries to catch up with c!krabs by sending her letters with birds but c!techno has managed to shoot down all of the messenger birds when hes out and about hunting. c!fundy still wonders why he never gets a response :[

butbut! they do chat with each other every now and then when c!krabs is away from the tundra to visit a friend, buisness, or just to get out of the cold :]

I love that! So she kind of stumbled in and got involved huh Not a good start :/

I love the bit about c!Krabs being pen pals with c!Tubbo! How did that came to be? But that’s so cute with Michael! Giving around the dandelion for the serotonin boost? 😌 Yeee, that’s really cute Do c!Tubbo and c!Ranboo sometimes ask her to spend some time with Michael again when they are busy?

When c!Schlatt forced her to live and work in Manberg did he “employ” her as a blacksmith? Did c!Krabs try to flee? Die she have a lot of contact with c!Schlatt? Did c!Krabs get into contact with c!Quackity from that point on as well? Did she get into contact with c!Niki maybe as well? She was one of the few people as far as I remember who openly really tried rebelling against c!Schlatt after all

Man that with c!Fundy makes me sad :( Are they slowly getting back to becoming proper friends again? Has c!Fundy ever explained to c!Krabs what he was doing during the Manberg era?
