Because he should be wearing a NORMAL TIE. not a BOWTIE. It would:

Add to his businessman persona

Give a place for that wifi symbol to go that isn't awkward

Be a good opposing design to Alastor's bowtie

Potentially give the idea he's moved away (or attempting to) from Alastor. Especially if they had it that Vox USED to wear a bowtie.

Also, we joke about it but seriously, why does everyone have a bowtie when it doesn't make sense for some characters like Husk--

Polle is such a kind and inoffensive looking mascot especially with how he is depicted as a worker like the rest of the crew. It makes you forget how much the crew actually dislike him.

The demeanor of the character that Pony Express tries to get across is jovial, sanitized and simple like everything the job isn't which puts a twistedly funny light on Curly's disdain that they sell Polle plushies to kids. It is the inherent seedy nature of the Pony Express marketing and advertising themselves to kids, effectively grooming them into becoming future workers through their "comfort" toy being the companies face. He can't believe it both for how obviously gross it is, but because the crew themselves can't imagine wanting it.

It's that the employees have long stopped seeing Polle as a sort of fun icon of themselves but the watchful eyes of the company. All those posters depicting him as one of them ring hollow, outlined and instead characterized by the uncaring, callous and shallow nature of P.E that is given a focus of contempt through Polle: Anya lamenting the food, Swansea mocking the breaks they get, Curly and his disillusionment and how Jimmy destroys the statue. They all have a problem with the company and Polle as the mascot is an outlet for it in a variety of different ways.

It’s still wild to me that agents of shield started doing time travel plotlines and handled it by coming up with the necessary set of time travel rules and mechanics to stick to and then having the characters explain it to us (and each other) in very simple/easy to understand terms to make sure we were all on the same page and could follow the plotlines they were setting up

And then a few years later the mainstream mcu decided to start doing time travel stuff and it was such a complete mess that (not only did the majority of fans and casual watchers alike leave the movie theater confused about/unable to follow endgame’s concepts/rules of time travel) but also the people who made the movie couldn’t even seem to figure out how it worked. Like seriously who else remembers all those interviews in the weeks after endgame was released where all the writers/directors/execs/etc were all doing interviews and taking turns trying to explain wtf happened in endgame (particularly in regards to Steve returning to the past/being Peggy’s og husband all along/making a new non-og timeline to marry her/I could keep going) and all of their explanations were completely different and contrasting each other wildly (which is absolutely ridiculous and seems kinda unprofessional for the team behind one of the biggest movies/franchises ever like cmon guys get it together)

Anyway shoutout to agents of shield for always being generally amazing and specifically for handling time travel *way* better than the mcu

i think of all characters vox is the most forgettable to me because they introduce lucifer as a foil for alastor, also with its own musical number...the whole 'vox and alastor are meant to have design parallels' doesnt work because half the designs look the same. pentious could be just as much of a parallel to alastor design-wise as vox.

i think lucifer just occupies the space in my brain as 'alastors rival' (why does. why does he need 2 of those.) and i have more to say about the other vee's than vox...the only thing i rly remember him for is for those. sorry i hate using this word as a 'criticism'. the cringey cut aways to give him quirky funnee one liners in the final ep. and that's it. sorry timothy television

Aang being a shitty dad is fine, but it's the way tlok makes Aang a shitty I have a problem with. You're telling me a guy who's entire culture was whipped out and whole family was massacred wasn't overjoyed at the possibility of sharing his culture with his entire family?

Would Aang have given more attention to Tenzin? Probably, them being the only airbenders would have almost certainly fostered a complex dynamic between the two— even to the extent that it would damage the father/son relationship. I think it's also worth pointing out that Aang was raised in a culture without the nuclear family dynamic we see him participarting in with Katara and their kids, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that Aang would fall short of the expectations and responibilities being a typical father figure brings especially when he himself never experienced that dynamic. Especially, especially compounded with the task of rebuilding a struggling world and maintaining peace.

However, do I think he would neglect to show his kids his culture? Their culture? No. Certainly not the extent he did, and especially not when we see how excited he is to share it with his friends in the show. Why wouldn't he be excited to share it with his kids? With all his kids? How the writers of The Legend of Korra make him a bad dad is a complex series of failures not the least of which stem from racism, the unwillingness to even attempt an understanding of multicultural families, TLOK originally being a 12 episode miniseries that then got greenlit for another season and was suddenly taxed with building upon a world that was never intended to exist beyond its original scope, and a fundamental misunderstanding of Aang as a character.

yeah yknow while i dont think portable ops serves that well a bridge between even mgs3 & peacewalker much less mgs3 & mgs4 I do think giving players more time w/ zero, paramedic, sigint, and even campbell to an extent was a good call given their increased importance to the story in 4 yknow, kind of give more of the hints to the roles they would play it wouldve been a bit jarring if they just had the 1 game that doesnt really hint towards any of thi[looks at the execution of the mgs1/2 casts inclusion] ah shit
