hey hello i thought i'd quickly talk about regulus in my lotss fic... i feel like people are gonna have problems with him—so here's some musings/ramblings etc!

so i really enjoy the idea of exploring human nature, and to me this means a flawed character. in lotss regulus is not a good person. there's good in him, sure, but on the whole he's morally corrupt and has a detrimental fuck-it-we-ball attitude. he relishes in destruction and indulges in his volatility. like he persuaded sirius to literally bind them together with a potentially fatal and 100% illegal spell at ten fucking years old, because he was like whelp. i'm gonna miss you when you go to highschool. and he's manipulative as shit, because sirius was like oh yeah, horcruxes, solid plan, and then does it.

regulus joins the army, yes to protect sirius, yes so sirius doesn't have to, but he would've joined anyway. he LOVES the power it gives him. he finds murdering fun. genuinely fun. he likes to tease his victims, he likes to draw their death out, he thinks it's hilarious when they cry and beg. and sure, okay, these are unambiuously bad people, veela traffickers etc, reg doesn't feel this way when he's on the battlefield and it's basically soldiers just like him. but still, it does take a certain character to not only carry out, but relish in murder.

i took a lot of inspiration for his and General Riddle's relationship from Silko and Jinx (from Arcane). i thought that dynamic was the best ever, like here are two hurt, damaged, chaotic and morally deranged people. they enable each other, they care for each other (genuinely). i'm obsessed with Arcane so think about it way too much, but Silko's last words to Jinx "you're perfect" make me wanna scream. because to him she is. that's what a daughter is to a father—a true father. flawed and tainted and morally ugly, blood all over her hands—but she is still his daughter, he forgives her, he loves her. despite, because of, regardless.

anyway my whole point with this ramble—i feel like lots of marauders fics ive read ultimately try and either validate, justify or redeem a character's unjust actions or corrupt nature. that's totally valid obviously, but that's not what i've done in lotss. regulus never regrets his behaviour, even when it ends up costing him someone he really, really loves. even then he continues to do it, he continues to enjoy it. he never has any big revelation and goes fuck. i messed up.

and general riddle—we've seen him manipulate, coerce and trap nagini. so we're against him. but then we see him from regulus' pov—who admires and trusts him—and he seems like a nice guy. so then we're like okay, is he a dick or is he nice? but isn't everyone both sides of that coin?

i really tried to show that while, on the whole, he's an upstanding leader, fighting for good causes (and is non-discriminative: there's a vast and inclusive representation of genders and races in the death eater army, something which is notably absent from the ministry-affiliated order and bmaf) even then riddle's hungry for more power. he wants to experiment and test the limits of his magic. my whole moral of the story thing with lotss is that power corrupts. there is NO GOOD SIDE. i'll say it again: no one wins in war.

like that line in hotd, where alicent says wtf are we even fighting for anymore? and rhaenyra is like lol idk. i was reading about the vietnam war recently: america and australia sent all those men in, then realised they were being fucking decimated and were like, oh fuck, and pulled them out again. thousands dead. literally for fucking what. anyway, all that to say: i'm not trying to use a character (regulus) who is generally well-liked by the fandom in order to try and justify or advocate for violence. his behaviour is just me experimenting with another way trauma can play out, like don't forget the circumstances of his birth, or the fact that he had to watch sirius being abused. sirius' magic was tested by orion to the point where he almost died multiple times. it effected sirius one way, it effected regulus another.

anyway! it's a story loves, not meant to be serious xo as i said before, take it all with a pinch of salt. and if you happen to watch arcane, tell me so we can try about it together!

It's late as hell but doodled this on a whim - idk I've managed to get myself back into monster hunter and I've just been thinking about Chaotic Gore Magala and myself and the weird similarities I've realized between my life and this guy's existence. Big explanation under the cut - it's kinda heavy so read at your own discretion.

I don't talk about it here for obvious reasons but this is a one off cause idk, I wanna talk about it under this context. But basically I've been through some shit, I've been battered by life and have been dealing with grief since I was 12 - and I'm now going through it again. I'm damaged cause of it, I'm not where I should be as a person, I don't function like I should both thanks to neurodivergency and the trauma that's kept my brain from properly developing and learning skills for adult life for some 8 years or so. And only recently have I been going to therapy again and working on healing after the most recent incident in my life - so I'm recognizing things and slowly slowly healing but I can't help being frustrated especially lately.

And now I can't help but now look at this monster from a video game about hunting them and see myself in a way. For those who don't know, Gore Magala normally is a monster which goes through a metamorphosis of sorts - they shed their black and purple scales and grow into a brilliant golden beast, the shining eclipse, Shagaru Magala. But sometimes something goes wrong, whether it be trauma or something else and the Gore Magala can't shed properly. They become malformed, into the chimeric creature that is Chaotic Gore Magala - a monster in eternal agony as it is an abomination and thus an outcast by its own kind.

I merely assume this but for me, I'd like to think its endless rage is also fueled by the fact that it has to be confused, lost and alone. It doesn't know what's going on, why it's like this, why the world scorns it for something it can't control. It endures the pain of its existence, the scars from its malformation and maybe it screams at the world cause it wants to know why it lived. Why is it here? Why does it hurt? What is it supposed to do? It lashes out at anything it finds, maybe out of rage, maybe out of fear - who knows.

Its broken, but survives regardless. It persists despite it all and I do just see myself in a way. We both don't know what's going on, damaged permanently by things we couldn't control but we continue on.

And I'm healing, slowly, very slowly but I am and I can't help but wonder- what if a Chaotic Gore can heal too? What happens if it does? Does it still shed it's black scales and turn fully gold or does it remain an oddity with dark shelled scales that are cracked with gold and a single glinting horn? I'd like to think the latter would be true. That it learns to adapt and live with its odd form, that one day the pain eases so it can truly come into the world as the apex it was meant to be - even if it wasn't how it was supposed to do so. And if it can find a place in the world after beating the odds of surviving the pain, then maybe I can find my place too.

Idk it's all a little silly, and not exactly fitting 100% - I'm far less angry at the world most of the time but still... I think I might have a new favorite monster, even if it's for some odd reasons, I do relate in a weird way to this guy- I may make something of this we'll see I guess.

Dragons Rising Rant

I WAS NOT READY for season 2 part 1

(I'm spoiling pretty much everything below the cut)

This was everything I wanted and more (not to say it doesn't have its issues, but still)

I know some people were grumbling about Lloyd taking Zane's role of being the vision haver but I honestly like how they handled it. Because it feels an awful lot like a PTSD allegory. Like, Arin is literally like "you've been through a lot, maybe it's catching up to you" or smthn like that, the visions showing up at random and inconvenient times during the day, being unavoidable but they can be lived with, panic attacks, so am I the only one seeing this??? This does some interesting things to my Lloyd PTSD headcanons... another thing is the two people that have had visions are the two most likely people to have PTSD imo, so... there's that...

Lloyd verbally acknowledges having panic attacks which caught me so off guard for a show to sell toys to eight year old boys. It wasn't like puss and boots level of panic attacks, definitely not given that much focus, but it was there. Lloyd canonically has panic attacks!!

I know it's a kid's show, but I feel like they could have handled the sleep deprivation a bit better than "Lloyd is falling asleep all the time," like there's so many other ways you could convey that, at least vary it a bit. They hammer this point into the ground and I feel like kids aren't that dense, and would understand it even with half of the random falling asleep replaced with irritability, zoning out, or other stuff like that idk.

I WAS NOT READY for Kai to get sacrificed. When they were talking about human sacrifices I was like "nah ninjago would never go that far, that pretty much confirms that either the sacrifices aren't actually necessary or the forbidden five don't get brought back," then Kai literally gets sent to the backrooms with no way out.

And Bonzle. BONZLE. Need I say more? Wish she had gotten more focus though. The sorceress felt like a d&d oc shoved in last minute though, and her design was so chaotic it was distracting from the show for me. Probably just me though, I like order. She's fun, I just wish they'd either given her an arc or given that focus to Bonzle.

Internally screaming when Nya says "Jay would never forget me" and when Jay showed up. I really hope they give him enough time to shine.

Ras literally runs and catches up to a moving car and knocks out a dragon in a single hit. Bros insane. I guess the blood moon just makes him physically stronger? They didn't really elaborate what the blood moon does to Ras and why. But he's an actually competent villain, which Ninjago is in short supply of.

Cole literally said "Come at me (bro)" to the Administration.

Speaking of Cole, Geo misses him!! I'm way overhyped for this couple, but this is the closest thing we'll get to a canon gay couple in ninjago. Lego doesn't have the balls to actually show them kissing or being a couple, not with their show that gets aired all over the world to sell legos. I'm gonna go rewatch the land of lost things episode from s1 later.

The timeline is even more messed up now though. If Cole only just returned, when were the Mech Pilot shorts supposed to happen? We'll see what the creators say on Twitter lol.

Ending this off on a positive note, the found family is gonna kill me. Arin literally seeing Lloyd and Nya as his parents was gold. Oh man Ras slammed the poor boy around a lot, physically and mentally. Just let both Arin and Sora realize they're not useless. Nahhh the angst is too good.

Life series x HSR paths take 2, because I gen srs don't know how on evergreen Earth I came up with stuff I did last time. (part 1)

So it's redemption time, because I just might.

Grian Honestly my first thought is that he aligns so fucking well with Elation, specifically the Masked Fools. He *is* an agent of Chaos for the purpose of a pure joy and is a token prankster. Especially knowing that Fools as followers of Elation have a very different idea what Elation means to them. Knowing how Aha is aeon I think they would like Grian a lot. In that hypothetical scenario I can see Grian maybe going even more haywire for funsies. As for any playable paths, I would say, he gives me Nihility vibes. Especially with him always outliving or outright killing his teammates? Very Nihility of him. Watchers connection could easily be read as Order or Erudition influence, but it needs to be known, that Grian is just not the Order nor Erudition guy. To Grian rules are not more than an outline, which could not be farther from ideology of Order, also with his constant itch to start a resistance and the disrespect he has for any kind of authority (even the one he himself has!). Erudition is harder to disprove, because Grian is a very curious guy and genuinely loves to learn more stuff, but knowledge itself is not his target, it's more of "how much fun can I have with this knowledge" kind of vibe.

Scar Cringe hot take, but Scar has more connection to Order than he does to Finality, I rest my case. BUT, even more cringe hot take, he is a 100% an IPC member and a Preservation follower. His smooth talk, salesman pitch, well protected care for something he loves and the way he always strikes back when this something precious to him has been wronged. He plays his cards well, strategic, yet sincere, loving and understanding. This SCREAMS Preservation. He is too loose and laid back for Order and be honest, he won't go in that direction at all. His addiction to burning things down Can in theory pass as Destruction vibe, but I beg to differ and say that destruction in this case is a way to protect, preserve something he cares about. A "means to an end" which is ALSO a very Preservation of him.

Mumbo Idk if it's a me problem, but Mumbo is so incredibly hard to pin down? I have a two options: Nihility and Destruction. I'd say that two paths are kinda similar, neither of them particularly care for either material things or bonds. But I'd say that Mumbo is more of a Nihility, to him everything is pretty meaningless, he goes along as long as something drags him, his loyalty is fleeting, but not because he seeks to destroy it, but because he doesn't really see the point of following the same people. He doesn't seek a wide destruction, more like collateral damage isn't bothering him. He doesn't really care for life or death, he just plays the game until he is out.

Jimmy Ah, so the Emanator of Finality himself. /j I mean, he definitely has ties to it in some way shape or form. If you want to you CAN interpret him as emanator of Finality, but it's boring and lazy answer. I can Accept him as one of the Memokeepers of Remembrance, but I personally think he is like, one of the Family, so I Really believe in Jimmy the Harmony. For no particular reason (shoves away my Jimmy playlist that Literally has Sunday quote in it's description). :) No, but for real, he gives me a heavy Harmony energy. Of course, he has his times, where he displays a behaviour that isn't very typical for Harmony, but for some reason it's just makes my case stronger, especially with him immediately feeling bad for stuff and apologising.

Joel. Hunt, Hunt, Hunt, need I even say more? Relentless, obsessive, chaotic, wild -- Joel is such a strong Hunt display in it's RAW form. He even came up with his own rival, that he sees in Scott, that doesn't particularly harbours any strong emotions about him. When he chases someone he either kills them or dies trying. He is stubborn and will attempt same things over and over again. He breaks the walls with sheer determination, that's why he is such a strong Hunt display.

Scott Speaking of him, I believe Very strongly that he is Sunday of Life Series. In a sense that people would believe that he's a Harmony follower, when truly he worships Order. Otherwise, he ain't got that determination nor need to control everything and everyone, don't worry, I'm not stupid. I'm just sure he is following the Path of Order, rather than Harmony with a strong belief that strong will always feed of the weak, because that is the way of the Order and he does all that in his power to not be that weak feast for someone.

Even as a kid, I thought vampirism as depicted in the SS books doesn't make sense. Every creature, human or animal, living or undead bitten by a vampire turns into one. If vampires need blood regularly and have existed for centuries the entire world population would've turned into vampires, or they would need to kill every person they feed from which wouldn't be sustainable in the long run.

In the books, vampires that live in GHOUL communities have special pipes alongside water for blood but GHOUL hasn't always existed.

I suppose that hunting animals would solve the problem, but it never made sense to me that even zombies could turn into vampires since they're already undead and don't even have any blood to drink.

yeah, admittedly vampirisms being transmitted by just a bite was never my favorite trope. It can certainly make sense in some stories/plots, like when vampirism is treated like an illness. But when Vampires are treated as a species it doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Same logic with werewolves. The only story I've seen that treats werewolf's like a species, and still gets away with the bite thing, is Wolfwalkers. and that's because it does such a great job of showing that the lycanthropy of that film, is a gift to be bestowed, or a curse to enemies. So it works.

That all being said, I can also appreciate the silliness of vampirisms being transmitted to any creature via just a bite. In the case of the Scream Street books, it creates a situation that is just absurd. But, like, in an enjoyable way? Like it's over the top, camp, chaotic, ridiculous. It's like a tart cherry pie. Usually, I don't like cherry pie because it's so tart. But sometimes I crave a cherry pie specifically for the tartness. You get what I mean?

I guess if you wanted to have your cake and eat it to, one could theorize that such easy vampirism is specifically something of the Negative lineage. Maybe their bites transform others into vampiric minions, where as with most vampires that's not an issue. Maybe that's why their last name is "Negative" because their bites come with "negative" effects. Could even be a reason Resus's ancestor helped found Scream Street. He may have felt that doing such would keep their mutation from causing more harm. (could also be why he stays in a hibernation mode rather than enjoying his undead existence.)

Or, second theory, it could be that it's due to something that Ghoul did to the vampires in their facilities, like experimentation or adding something to the blood supply. They've certainly done far worse. Heck, maybe the thing about the supply coming from the drains of the world is a lie to began with. Making a supplement certainly sounds easier than a complex blood gathering system. After all, if the vampires thought that the blood supply was from a pipe system, when they'd be fully dependent on the Scream Street facilities. And we all know how much Ghoul loves anything that gives them more power over the cryptids. Furthermore, I'd make sense if they were particularly controlling of vampires, as vampires are a more threatening creature, they have a lot of powers. We don't see the Negatives have a lot of powers, but I'm willing to bet that's because they were raised in Scream Street. They've been denied a lot of things, and likely don't know the full extent of their powers.

Idk, just some theories that came to mind while thinking about all of this. (screw Ghoul, they are awful people) :D

I wanna do this with their 40 year old versions because its funnier in my head lmao. Idk what writing style this is, kinda weird kinda eh??? Anyway, Regimen Tom's side is a bit long bc that boy is sad.

Stay Tom: Stay Tom is an absolute nightmare for Regimen Tord, especially because he has so much knowledge on how RA operates, there's some differences but the base knowledge is basically the same. Not only that, but this Tom is so highly trained and can counter any of his attacks with ease, his countermeasures mirror his own, and he can only guess that this Tom's Tord actually personally trained him. He can see his cautiousness in him. It also really doesn't help that this Tom likes to call him 'Red Brat' He spends the majority of his time basically playing defense to ensure this Tom doesn't meet with any rebel groups, because he is 100% sure this Tom is ABSOLUTELY able to take him down with less time and effort, and more of a threat, than his own Thomas, because he's more experienced. Plus, ah, he apparently can turn into a giant....monster..... Tom manages to kick his ass in less than 2 days.

Regimen Tom:

It was really weird suddenly appearing in front of a kid. It was also really awkward when that kid started to wail and cry. Then it was extremely terrifying when fucking Tord Larsin suddenly came bursting into the room holding a gun and glaring at him. Then it was back to weird, because the kid screamed 'DADDY!!' and ran up to Tord Larsin as if he wasn't a threat at all. What the fuck??? Okay so, after some really awkward and stilted explanations, suddenly he's on the couch, the kid is staring at him, he's holding...hot chocolate?? Or, no, it tasted really familiar....

....Hot chocolate Baileys with peppermint schnapps. Exactly how he likes it. His go-to comfort drink when he's feeling particularly stressed. Again. What the fuck?

So apparently, universe jumping?? Wow yay, maybe he did have a huge mental breakdown and finally went insane, but thats what this Tord says (and wow he's really old), and the kid is still staring at him by the way, yet somehow it doesn't feel at all like it usually does. Cold, prickling, and suffocating. And...well, now that he's looking at him...even this Tord's staring didn't feel bad. Didn't feel...suffocating. It's muted, withdrawn, and guilty. Well....maybe this mental breakdown was a special one? Something...comforting before he... Next few days feel weird, and hazy, like he's walking through a barely coherent dream. Things seem brighter here, the colours more saturated, and yet unfocused, like he wasn't meant to see too much of it. He passes by a few photos, but chooses not to look when he first saw a face resembling his own, smiling so bright as if he was actually... ..happy.....

That kinda hurt, but oh well, it's his dying thoughts so whatever. The kid's name is Arthur, but he likes being called AK for some reason. AK has been consistently waking him up and walking around with him in this weird too bright little cabin for the past few days. He says he looks like his 'Papa'. Is it weird if he used to think that, if he had a son, he'd call him Arthur too? Old Tord, as he calls him in his head, avoided him for the first two days. Eventually though, he stopped disappearing every time Tom came into a room he was in, he'd tense up sure, but he stopped acting like his ass was on fire and Tom was the one who lit it. For some reason...he's really intrigued by him. So he stares at him, most times. Eventually, Old Tord kinda just shuffled towards him one day while he was seated at the breakfast bar and actually sat next to him. Tom stared at him from the corners of his eyes of course. Old Tord kinda just squirmed in his seat before he said: 'I hurt you....didn't I?'

Tom thought about it, and decided; 'No? Unless you 'jumped universe' or whatever.' Old Tord looked pained and shook his head. 'It's still me,' He said. 'A version of me at least...And I hurt you....' The way he said it made his heart do something funny. He placed his hand on the bar, palm side up and just looked down to the side. Tom was surprised that Old Tord knew how to ask for this, how to ask if he could hold his hand without saying anything, then again...if the pictures were any indication, of course he would. He puts his hand on top of Old Tord's own, and the other gives him a quick squeeze before letting his hand go lax. 'I'm sorry,' Old Tord said, and his voice was so constricted Tom thought he was going to suffocate for a moment. 'I am so so sorry, Tom....Everything that happened to you was never your fault.' Light squeeze. Let go. 'I don't know how much weight this has, but I am so so sorry....' Old Tord still didn't look at him, which was a huge relief. Because he really doesn't know what to do if he saw him crying. The kid- Arthur- appeared again. He was hugging him from behind. Old Tord just kept a loose grip on his hand, he had his hand over his eye, he was shaking. You know...for his dying thoughts, this wasn't so bad, he figures. At least...it's comforting.

Okay. Surprisingly not TFF or Zenonia but I have been a TMNT fan for like idk, a while? But my absolute personal fav would definitely be the TMNT 2012 series.

I stumbled upon it when I was like 10 or smth then I just watched it whenever it aired. Like I got so excited. Season 2 finale was ingrained into my memory.

Anyway, my favorite is Leo. At first it was because he was blue and blue is my favorite color then I read the fics and he became my all time fav. So uh here's me sharing an AU in the works.

So. I know its called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but I am such a sucker for human au's. I don't know why. Them being turtles is what literally made them special and makes the plot go forward. But them being ergo becoming human is just so intriguing. There are so little of them. So I decided to make my own ig. Theres two of them but imma focus on one first.

Aight. What got this AU going is what happened in the season 2 finale. After Leo gets shredded on that ambush, Shredder tells Splinter that he'd taken his son like what he did to his daughter. But like, you know what happens to Karai.

So what if Saki does that to the T?

Rather than committing defenestration, he decides to keep Leo hostage because either of those things are totally normal to do to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. He makes Stockman use a beta brainworm on him to see its effects and if it'll affect Karai in the way that he wants to. It works. But he also turns him human. Idk I just wanted him to be human and for the others to have trouble searching for him. The in plot explanation is that he's basically a guinea pig for Karai.

But Leo is no regular ol' human. He's still on par with his Turtle self, maybe even stronger. They're basically modifying him every time to be the perfect Foot soldier to take on the turtles and Splinter. Also to track Karai because Shredder knows they're close and she'll respond positively to him than anyone else. He probably has the strength that Mutant Apocalypse!Leo has but more compact to look more deceiving.

But since the brainworm is in beta, something goes wrong.

Leo keeps fighting. He fights every single step of the way and makes it living hell for the Foot Clan. He becomes the perfect soldier under Shredder's care for a while but he eventually escapes and breaks free.

Kind of.

To brainwash Leo, Stockman initially heightens his bloodlust. To make him more violent and willing to kill innocents. Then he also has to become obedient to the Shredder and he makes him hate his family so he can enact some kind of vengeance plot on them.

But Leo thinks its bullshit and tries to get control back. He makes himself fight the worm and not submit to the Shredder at all cost. He tries to rebel as much as he can against Shredder's authority.

Since he's y'know, mutating into a super soldier, he kinda forgets the reason as to why he has to rebel. He just knows that he has to.

How exactly?

Voices.

His subconscious basically shatters itself into a million pieces as to not be able to take Shredder's orders seriously. Well, anyone of authority for that matter. But the brainworm is still there. The bloodlust is still there. He can't stop the craving of blood and violence and war and the voices need it—

Oh no. Leo doesn't need it. Nah. The voices do. They keep screaming at him to fight, to fight like there's no tomorrow, to shed blood and smear it across the pavement, to paint the blue skies/oceans red red red—

And he follows. Mostly to get some peace of mind because damn do these bitches give him headaches.

Yeah. He's not really taking a lot of it seriously. He's becomes like a Chaotic Neutral character as opposed to his usual Lawful Good. He doesn't give a shit about what's happening with New York and why these alien things are roaming the city but its good fighting and a nice discolored bloodbath that will let him have some quiet for a few hours before they start shoving their demands again.

And its fun. And he's good at it. And he's got nothing better to do. And he wants some quiet, dammit. Annoying demanding assholes.

So just imagine Splinter, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey seeing their most law abiding morally ethical son/brother willing to commit genocide like its nothing?

My mom fell down earlier and it left me super anxious. It took about an hour for me and my dad to get her back into bed and the whole time both of them were screaming and freaking out and I didn't know what to do. Like my mom's first instinct will always be to call *me* over to help, but my dad gets mad because he thinks I get in the way and I'm pretty limited in what I can do, so then they start arguing about what they want me to do. I can't lift her on my own because I'm not physically strong enough to, plus I have asthma so I get breathless easily. But my dad is old and his leg is bad, so it puts a strain on him, too.

At first it sounded like we might need to call the rescue, which none of us wanted to deal with because it's so late at night and would just make things even more chaotic and hectic.

Finally we figured something out (first repositioning her while she was still on the floor so at least she wouldn't stay face-down, then moving her to a stool, and then rolling her back onto the bed) but it really is a process.

I was super shaky afterwards, I am still pretty shaky and trying to calm down. I took something for my anxiety earlier but maybe I'll have a warm drink or something since I still feel 'off'...

Mom has falls pretty frequently but doesn't treat them like emergencies and I guess if my dad and I are able to eventually get her back into bed then it's fine, but still... it really does leave me shaken up and it's not easy to deal with. I'm so scared of what will happen if both my dad and I are out of the house and she has a fall (I know about those Life Alert devices but she doesn't want to wear one and would rather just have us with her all the time). Idk, I'm just thinking about it a lot and getting nervous rn.

It seems like the general plot of the show changed from what it was initially. I'm curious to know why! I was looking forward to meet spoiled brat heir Home, but he'll be fun as a real-estate agent, I'm sure!

This editing is so fun. It still doesn't really show much about the series, lmao. It shows that it's going to be pretty and pretty fun, but you can see the little cuts here and there that prevent you to see the whole scene. Sneaky, but fair.

Very tiny glimpse @ 0:11 of a scene that looks like the one almost at the end, where the main group and Perth's character are looking at a figure of a person on a wall. Could be the beginning of an episode and later some kind of resolution?

Oh! So Pang, Peach and [Perth's character]* are all part of Pang's supernatural vlogs! [*still do not know his name + don't know if they've mentioned it.]

Love how they cut this part of the trailer. Who is this man kicking the door open? Does he work for Home, since Home is seen in the same place later? Or is he from a completely different scene? Maybe someone else is looking for Peach to use his abilities?

I cannot wait to hear what quip Home will have as a response to "What do you want us to do? Ghostbusting?" because for sure it isn't "Cool" LMAO. That's a yet again different scene (and yet again I'm very curious about it)!

Really curious about Peach. He wants to be a cook, but he can't because he sees ghosts. Perth* asks if it's because he's sick, and that might be when Peach tells him about his ability. What I am curious about is how or why he acquired that ability! 👀

Also apparently both Home and Peach find themselves in a hospital with some kind of head injury, according to New's pictures from some time ago and this scene.

Gun wanting to sue some ghosts is so unserious, very unlike her at first glance. Can't wait to know more about her.

Oh my goodness, Pang and Home will be The Most Chaotic duo of the group. I need to see a whole episode of their shenanigans.

Also I'm pretty sure that the scene with Pang applauding will mean that Home will make a speech to the group (or to Peach in particular) and that's pretty fun! I wonder if it's a motivational one.

Next we have several scenes of them ghost-hunting, and I wonder if they're set in different episode as a "monster-of-the-week" type of show, or if there will be some montages of them as well.

Also, at one point not only Peach will be seeing ghosts, apparently. The police officer running away and Gun seeing the ghost in the mirror are interesting to see. 👀

I love this shot. Love the silly (sweary) way "Cocktail Lounge" is lit. Love how domestic it feels. I'm curious to know who that other person is, sitting on the right, though. This looks like it could be at least a middle of the series type of scene.

I have so many questions about the blood, and then about how many times New had to scream in this series. And also why is it always funny when he does it.

I usually say Eddy is my least favorite of the Eds trio because if they were real people I would find him absurdly annoying and he would piss me off as hell similar to what happens with Double D. But honestly it doesn't make sense since I often find myself kinda obsessed with him, or at least very interested in him, in analyzing him and writing about his character.

As a character, I find him extremely interesting and funny even when he's being annoying. A lot of my favorite scenes in the show are him just being himself, like, screaming, yelling, laughing, being fruity, inconvenient and chaotic or even just saying normal things because I think the tone of his voice (bless Tony Sampson for his impeccable work) and the way he behaves in general makes everything he says and does hilarious, and damn, his provocative way also has its charm (I think both Double D and I have a strange and ambigous relationship with provocative behavior as it pisses us off but also attracts us somehow, like "this person is so annoying but for some reason I feel kinda dependent and stuck with them, and kinda enjoys their provocations, why???", idk xD maybe it's an ISFJ thing, or maybe we're just both a bit masochistic for some reason). I also think Eddy is the one who has the deepest and most interesting backstory and the greatest character development. So yeah, I actually love Eddy even though I probably wouldn't enjoy his company in real life most of the time, but he's really enjoyable to watch on the show. But I don't know if I can really say he's my second favorite even though I'm actually not as interested in Ed as I am in Double D and Eddy (and EddEddy). It's just that I think Double D and Ed are the most lovable and easy to get along with of the trio, but yeah, Eddy has his own charming and conquering way.

Maybe I shouldn't worry so much about putting them in a specific order of favorites. I know Double D is my favorite Ed and that's enough. And I love both Eddy and Ed in different ways and for different reasons.

i think that all the -phobia nonsense is, well, nonsense, so i think that people in my verse should have gotten over all of that and instead everyone's just chill with each other in that regard. there's still other kinds of discourse but none like that anymore.

therefore, the part of pride's purpose that's "this is a riot, we're here, get used to it" is fulfilled. instead, in my universe, i think it'd be fun to make it more of a kind of.. celebration of all kinds of love thing. like valentine's day but less individualistic, more just the concept itself and all of its variations on the same level. idk i don't celebrate valentine's day myself or know anything about how others do bc it's just. Not That Big except for corporate nonsense around me

it should still be celebrated with parades and rainbows and music and joy and flag-waving and hugs between strangers and just-being-together because i've only ever been to a parade myself once and the atmosphere was fucking incredible. trying to recreate that vibe here with the extreme limitations of the written word is not doing it justice. i think that pride month would still be a thing and people could wear rainbow-colored things to everyday activities and functions. you know where i'm going with this

the one who popped into my mind immediately is verica, pre-warframe - she'd sponsor her own whole float and just spend the whole parade making music with her band on it. once she meets pule and jay they help out too - pule's running around the float and handing out freebies/snacks; jay's doing something more behind-the-scenes, probably driving the float. another image in my head immediately is either or both of the academics wearing inconspicuous rainbow items to their respective lectures/lab hours/meetings during pride month. they now both own several pairs of rainbow socks for specifically this. maybe a (bow) tie. it is so unfair that i'm completely out of drawing juice right now. i am mentally screaming at my drawing tablet

during warframe era... hm. having trouble coming up with anything for parades beyond "they would go to at least one a year with the full hyena squad" but they absolutely have rainbow paints and ribbons on board for the whole month. oh, and if only there was someone with a perfectly blank canvas of a hat somewhere. that he conveniently leaves off when he sleeps.

Yes! I really wanted to include some of the societal impacts of the supernatural in my book, like my MC being a lecturer in Supernatural Studies. One of her classes is in the book, so you'll get to learn a little about how the Black Death affected vampire clans in London :D

And vampiric animals, yes I wanted to include one, so there is one haha. The process is much trickier than with turning a human into a vampire and it takes much longer, so there aren't many around. Most big clans have one though.

MC doesn't get turned in the book, but it is directly expected and referenced that they will be at some point soon.

As for the novel, yes, I switched it because I thought it'd be very cool to get the playboy's inner monologue. The first parts of the novel include, along with the mystery, a lot of the MC slowly focusing more and more on the male lead and forgetting about flirting with others. Let's just say that MC's friends are sick of hearing them give a play-by-play of what the male lead ate at dinner, and then denying that they're interested in him as anything more than a bit of fun lol.

As for the mystery plot... It's my first time writing a proper one, but I'm having a lot of fun and I think it's a decent one, but we'll see haha.

I was pretty sick in Tokyo, but it was a combination of the flight, which I predicted would happen because it always does, and then also a really heavy workload while there. I lost 9 lbs in ten days because of how much walking I had to do and I the fact that I was too ill to eat more than two apples over three days. It was a shame, but that's what happens when you're in a big group: you can't tailor the trip to your individual needs like needing to rest after a 14 hour flight and two hour queue at customs XD I still had fun though!

And oh, I didn't know Scream films were who dunnits, that's awesome, I'll put them on my list of things to check out! Thanks for the recommendation!!
