K: Okay
H: You aren't going to fight for him?
K: Your his saviour, I'm just a guy he shared a ciggerete with, at least with you he wouldnt hate himself as much. Just let me stay close to him.
H: What kind of love is that? Your giving up on him?
K: I don't know. A cowardly one?
H: Fine, but your painting our wedding
K: ...
L: I dont really care as long as you two keep him the hell away from me

ok so like
i was thinking. why are these villains so hot? and then i was thinking about the commonalities between them and then i realized that they’re very similar in their outward expression but very different in ideologies based on what we’ve seen from them in their respective shows.
and now i’m really curious as to what it would be like if they somehow met.
they’re both really hot horribly evil men. they both kinda have that suave but condescending vibe, though less so with aaravos. they both have an air of mystery to them when they’re first introduced, and they both kind of seem unreachable and almost omnipotent.
one would expect they would be like, evil besties but in reality they’re complete opposites.
like, horde prime **hates** magic, and aaravos is the **pinnacle** of magic. he’s like, the best of the best. bro is actually in the legends and stuff.
horde prime maintains his control over people because he is seen as an all powerful, domineering tyrant, whereas aaravos is willing to stoop down to the levels of people who he deems lesser to him, and he manipulates them for his own gain.
aaravos’ power is self-contained whereas horde prime’s power lays directly in the hands of his clones, who are enslaved to him.
based on that, one would think that horde prime would treat aaravos the same way that he treats adora/she-ra because both are considered highly proficient magic users. however, aaravos is like, practically godlike in his power, so we’d most likely see horde prime lose his cool around aaravos cause aaravos could probably single-handedly uproot prime’s empire with his immense magical powers.
but like, i don’t think aaravos would necessarily do that. i’m actually not sure what he would do. the systems of magic between the two shows aren’t completely different so we could theoretically put aaravos into she-ra’s world without too many issues but like.
from what we can tell in the show, it seems like aaravos just cares about power. considering the fact that his magic is self-contained and he doesn’t require outside sources of magic in order to do his own magic like the princesses do (though she-ra seems to not need it either considering the fact that she could do stuff in space, far away from etheria’s magic), i’m not sure if he’d care too much about what horde prime was doing.
it’s really hard to say what aaravos would do especially cause we don’t know too much about him but i know horde prime would see him as a threat.
what are your thoughts regarding this?
anyways hot sexy evil men :)
ALSO THEYRE BOTH TALL AS FUCK.
i did some detective work and horde prime is likely around 7’2 and i looked at the height difference between claudia and aaravos in the show to figure out what his height would be and he’s like, 6’10 it’s so evil
cause claudia is confirmed to be 5’9 and she’s up to his SHOULDER in the clip that i was looking at.

I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend

i love being married to a straight guy. this morning we were parallel chilling and i glance at his computer and he's watching a drill fight tournament. as in, guys attaching drills to the same rod and turning them on until one breaks. to find the strongest drill. jose noticed me staring and rolled out of the way so i could see the screen. he knew every drill brand and told me their quality and price. i watched the whole thing without comment. the violence was enchanting. i never would have found this. he's a vector to an entirely alien, often beautiful, world.

more good news from tiktok: they’ve started blocking celebrities.
they’re calling it block party 2024. just blocking and ignoring countless celebrities who havent said shit about palestine. influencers, actors, anyone who went to the met gala, whatever, they’re getting blocked. and people keep talking about how cathartic it is, how good it feels, how they never realized they could DO that. there was some kind of subconscious law against blocking famous people, but it’s broken, and people are LOVING it. and it’s WORKING. a social media/digital advertising coordinator was talking about how ad companies are PANICKING, because they can’t accurately target anymore. so many big influencers, including fucking LIZZO started talking about palestine the MOMENT their follower counts started going down. and the best part? no one is forgiving them. lizzo posted a tiktok asking people to donate to palestinian families, and all the comments just said you’re a multimillionaire. put your money where your mouth is. blocked.
i feel like i’m witnessing the downfall of celebrity culture, right here right now. people are waking up.

#well this is because as you said baelor breakspear was jfk (because grrm loves his camelot and golden age metaphors)#which means as defined the blackfyre era was westeros's cold war (with occasional hot spots)#but yeah all spying and undercover shit and seeing who'll blink first#though if they'd had dragons aka nukes unlike our world it certainly would've been a very hot war all the time. mutual assured destruction#mind you a thing that keeps bloodraven from being westeros's kissinger or j edgar hoover or william casey et al#(besides i think a fundamental moral line that even with his eminent practicality and machiavellianism he won't cross -#and yes it does exist or he really would've taken egg back to kl and had dunk killed. it might be a low line but it's there)#is that unlike the usa westeros is not an empire and is far more likely to go isolationist rather than getting involved in foreign politics#major exception being the various stepstones wars - which were (a) border wars and (b) pre- and post-bloodraven so hey#anyway yeah bloodraven would demolish during the dance agreed. they wouldn't know what hit them (via nobodysuspectsthebutterfly)
the reason i say bloodraven would absolutely demolish during the dance of the dragons just absolutely eat everyone involved for lunch is because while they are all from feudalism times, Brynden Rivers is the only character in the series who inexplicably has the personality of someone who has definitely seen the cold war. Like this man knows about and subscribes to Realism because he was at the Stepstones Missile Crisis and the Bay of Crabs Invasion and chaired the Un-Valyrian Activities Committee during the Blackfyre Scare. Assassinated JFKaelor. No dragon so he invented the 20th century surveillance state. It’s inspired

Glinda really had an entire musical number expounding on the theme of "success in life is not about being highly qualified or even competent, but manipulating people's superficial perception of you." and then she went into POLITICS. truly the #girlboss representation the world has earned

Feeling incredibly sick and angry about everything. I’ll go about my day and try to be normal and then it just ambushes me and honestly the only people keeping me sane rn are the Arabs who’ve voiced similar experiences and are staying the course and being vocal despite all the attempts to basically blame everything that’s wrong with this country on us
