You know what would be neat
In an AU where JGY grows up in the Jin (JGS being forced to accept him early in some way or another) and there are vampires
JGS is a vampire and so is Meng Shi. Madam Jin is human. As a result, JGY is a fullblooded born vampire while JZX is a dhampir
It would be really funny if people within the very vampire-heavy/vampire-as-aristocracy society look at JZX and JGY together and immidiactly choose to adress their woes to JGY.
Because JGY is all vampire, pointy ears and greyish skin and gaunt face and all, while JZX looks utterly out of place among the vampires because he looks like a normal human with fangs
And this infuriates JGS because JZX is his heir and JGY is a bastard lmao
Lol ok, idk if you meant for this to be hilarious, but it's just so funny to me to think that JGY finally could be considered of better "pedigree" than this brother for their society's standards and it's pissing JGS off so badly XD.
I can imagine this as a world where vampires are very few but very elite ala Vampire Hunter D, so JGS married Madam Jin as a sort of social or political move, like an alliance with a powerful human family idk, but also got MS pregnant, and despite her being very low in their hierarchy, she was still a full vampire and thus, the rules demand that their son be acknowledged since full blooded vampires are rare/hard to conceive/not very fertile/etc.
Except a bastard is very much NOT part of his agreement with the powerful human family he is supposed to be an ally to now (and whose fortune/political standing he now shares lol), so it's all very tense in his household now bc, as a son of a lawful marriage, JZX should be the sole heir... only he's a dhampir and, while not looked down upon bc they are still better than full mortals, someone like him would normally be considered lesser than his full blooded vampire brother.
It's so goddamned ironic that here is where JGY would finally be seen as the "right" Jin and the one the gentry would consider one of them :'D.
Now, it'd be interesting to see why JGS is upset at this development. It could be bc he legit loves JZX and not JGY and thus it's all a matter of his favorite son being given his rightful place despite of his half-blood nature. Or bc it endangers his alliance with the humans and he has to remind everybody of who his heir is every time there's the slightest insinuation that both his sons would inherit, or worse-- that of course his pure blooded son should be the one inheriting, how lucky he was to still have a vampire son despite marrying a human, surely he wouldn't defy tradition and taint his noble family by having a dhampir as head of the next generation when a perfect fully vampire Jin son is right there :')))))
It'd also be interesting to see how the brothers' dynamics would be, bc while things behind closed doors could go very much like canon (probably with MS being a concubine or something), when in public, it's clear that they would not be treated equally, if not having JGY be privileged in their social circle. How would that the boys' perception of themselves and each other be? Sorta like "no matter what ppl say, I am dad's heir and favorite son" or "dad may love you more, but everybody knows who is the weird one here"... or maybe they actually find solace in each other, one being there for the other when their family/society reminds them that they are inherently different and should be treated as such, only feeling like they can truly be equals when they are alone with each other.
It's a very fascinating scenario, let me tell you! I love me some vampires and I love me some Jin bros feels, so I'm so in with this :D
#mdzs#jin guangyao#jin zixuan#vampire au#there's also the fact of what abilities they even have and how being a dhampir affect that#if there's things that only full vampire can do like super strength or something#and not having certain powers or have them diminished could put even more into question jzx's capacity to continue the jin legacy#or if on the other hand it gives him more advantages like not being so subseptible to sunlight#and if jgs would use that as his excuse to why jzx is his heir despite being a half-blood#like he has improved his bloodline#and if ppl can see right through his bullshit bc maybe dhampirs are not that rare#since vamps be having it hard to conceive with their own so mingling with humans is the second best option#and if so then maybe the social position of dhampirs is not that different from pure blooded vampires#and it's only the most 'close minded' purist the ones holding jgy above jzx and giving jgs a hard time for his chose heir#and what about humans?#would the human elite be hyping jzx bc he can be the link between them???#so many possibilties!!!

Hello gatorbite, I really liked your imagines with Mark Grayson, could you do an imagine of Mark with a Male Reader who is a vampire?
Mark Grayson x vampire king male reader
Headcanons
Cooking my own headcanons for vampires, how else are they gonna go on cute dates on the beach as the sun goes down?? Ive been listening to abracadabra by Lady Gaga for days, its been keeping me sane.
Mark and the bad bitch he pulled by being a nerd. i had a lot of fun writing this, i would love to write more about these two, or more vampire reader,,,
You guys would first have met after he became a hero, sometime during season 2. Probably before he got Oliver but after his dad left the planet and Mark wanted to fix everything and started working with Cecil.
The GDA knew of your existence of course. You were the first ever vampire, created through horrible magic and rituals against your will. This meant you couldn’t die, even from the sun or a stake or silver.
Every other vampire someone would meet would come from you in some way. Or rather, they were bitten by someone who was bitten by someone, so on and so forth until it reached you, kinda like a disease. The further out you go, the wilder and more animalistic the vampires are.
The few vampires you have bitten and turned yourself are strong and can walk in sunlight, and have other otherworldly powers, but those they bite have weaker powers, etc etc. and all other vampires but you can die. As long as life and death exist, so will you.
How you guys meet can be a mixed bag, but the most plausible is that some rabid vampires have run wild somewhere, and Mark was sent to deal with them since his skin can’t be pierced by their fangs.
The vampires he encounters are naked, human-looking creatures with warped faces, a mouth full of sharp teeth, shark bat-like features and the like. The only thing human about them is their shape.
A nest of vampires has run wild, and as the so called “vampire king”, “vampire well” or even “first vampiric ancestor”, its your duty to take care of it when it gets out of hand.
At this point Mark isn’t at his strongest, so the nest of vampire spawn gain the upper hand. Even with super strength, its hard for Mark since he also doesn’t want to kill at this point, and these technically were humans once.
So, imagine Marks shock, as he’s being overpowered by hundreds of these creatures that are more instinct than sense, when these creatures are sliced in half and turn into dust.
As the vampire king you can teleport all over the planet, you could probably even warp other planets if you focused hard enough. You might have done that once or twice, leading to vampirism spreading to different parts of the universe… but nobody has to know that…
What you wear can be up for debate, do you wear something from the time you died? Something Victorian? Or modern? I can’t imagine you are too involved with the current fashion since time passes so fast for you, so maybe it’s a bit out of fashion. You still look great though.
Maybe it’s having been beaten so hard by the now dead spawn, or maybe it’s just your vampiric influence, but Mark finds himself blushing and breathing a little harder.
The first time you meet doesn’t lead to much other than you taking care of the spawn, apologizing to Mark for causing such a mess and telling him you will take more care of your offspring. Mark just kinda goes “yeah, okay, thanks man…” before passing out.
You end up teleporting mark back to the GDA, or wherever hes being brought, like to the new guardians or whatever. Because obviously none of their protection measures can keep you out. It’s only weaker vampires that need an invitation inside.
They are all pretty damn uncomfortable when you comment about how nice Marks blood smells, because being thousands of years old also means you don’t have any shame in stating the obvious.
You say hello to Immortal before leaving. Of course, you guys know each other, both being immortal and all that. You guys play cards at least once every ten years or so, sometimes more, sometimes less.
This is also why Immortal is the most chill about you showing up, coming and going as you please, and saying Mark smells delicious. You once said he smelled delicious too when you first met, the stronger the person the better their blood and all. Now you guys are friends though, in a way.
After that you guys meet every now and then, mainly because you take his interest and Immortals friendship as an invite to come and go as you please, like a big scary housecat dressed in black.
You also follow him around (stalk him pretty much), and maybe it’s just him secretly loving steamy vampire fanfiction, or some viltrumite instinct, but being hunted is exciting.
You guys finally starting to date would also happen at some random moment when you guys are alone. You would have known about Marks attraction from the very moment you met, but your cold unbeating heart had started warming up around him too.
All his rambling about heroes and fictional stories worked like a charm. The many many questions about vampires and pop culture was cute too. He couldn’t believe that the whole weak to garlic thing started as an inside joke amongst vampires and spread out, when it wasn’t even true.
Mark was positively shocked when the whole pop culture idea that being bitten felt good turned out to be true. Later you would explain it was all about intent and reception. If you wanted it to hurt and he feared you, then it would have hurt. But because he was a little freak who was really into it, then it brought pleasure.
Mark also never thought you would be able to bite through his skin, but you could. Only because of your whole, king of the vampires, first original vampire, deal. Any other vampire wouldn’t be able to bite through vultrumite skin.
Being able to rip through vultrumites will be useful later, and not needing to breathe and being able to fly as well. But that’s for later space adventures.
When the whole thing with Oliver happens, you are of course there to support Mark, but also his family. Cecil also knows not to fuck with you, because its all thanks to you that the dead don’t rise and come for him every single day.
This may mean it doesn’t end as badly as in season 3, or, Mark just has some more support, very powerful support that the GDA knows to fear. Because how is Cecil gonna manipulate the original manipulator? The one strong enough to bewitch the entire planet if he wanted to?
You also have a better time explaining morals and powers to Oliver, since you are still stronger than him at this point, so you can put him in his place when he needs it. Being nonhuman also helps a lot, since Oliver feels his power disconnects him from humanity.
This gives Mark some more room to find himself and settle, and yeah, I feel like him and his family end up moving into wherever you stay. Be it some massive gothic castle in Romania, or a Victorian mansion at the edge of a massive cliff in England, who knows.
Both because its safer, more comfortable, and they get to feel like they don’t always have to look over their shoulder.
You don’t survive the coffin allegations though, since you sleep in a grand one, and have at least 100 different coffins you switch between. Most were gifts from your spawn, or one or two from immortal as “congrats on living another hundred” gift. You gifted him weapons or houses in return.
Mark can’t sleep in the coffins with you, since he hates how claustrophobic it makes him. But he will sleep beside the coffin. You guys keep the lid pushed to the side enough for you to stick a hand out, so you guys can hold hands.
I feel like Oliver would thrive a lot under you and your spawns, since you keep your “children” in line. Being direct descendants of you means they are powerful enough to play and roughhouse with, but also help him train.
Mark trains with you instead, and it regularly ends up with him almost giggling and kicking his feet as you pin him down, barring his neck all “oh please, vampire king, please don’t bite me”.
It takes Debbie a while to settle in, but maybe she meets one of your spawn to gets on with well, or she doesn’t at all. Maybe she just takes the time to heal and find herself when she sees her sons are happy.
You end up getting the shovel talk from her though, which all your direct descendants peek around the corner of the doorway to watch. Somehow you look meek as she points a finger at you and tell you to treat her son right and with respect.
I haven’t read very far in the comics so I cant tell you what happens after this, but Mark will have you by his side when everything goes down, and that might help change it to a more positive outcome.
It might help to have a lover who isn’t held back by his humanity and morals. You are more than willing to turn entire planets into your mindless spawn if it means keeping your dear ones safe. It does lead to a horrible argument and Mark not talking to you for a while, but he forgives you at some point.
Reading his secret fanfic does help with that, even if it means you have to dress like a man from the current era, style your hair and stalk him when he sleeps (as if you don’t already do that).
Being a super ancient and rich vampire also means you can pile gifts on Mark, Oliver and Debbie. Mostly Mark, but you don’t want his kin to be left out. So, Mark gets to live out his nerdy dreams to the extreme.
You’ll remodel a whole part of your house for him if it comes down to it. Your direct spawn will coo at you becoming soft. You let them, for now, but you’ll get your revenge, especially seeing them all tied around the Grayson’s fingers too.
You are so used to dealing with the GDA that it also isn’t hard to keep them at bay, how are they gonna invade a place that’s existed longer than democracy? You will burn the whole place down if you have too. Anything for your nerdy little hero.

You find that now Astarion’s able to feed regularly on “quality” blood, the stronger he becomes, and with that strength comes certain abilities he didn’t know he could possess.
In 5e, vampire spawn are supposed to be pretty strong and fast. (As well as possessing regenerative powers, and spider climb among a few other things.) So, what if Astarion’s lack of super strength and other such things is due to the way he was kept weakened under Cazador’s control?
Like maybe he’s recently fed and he feels especially great this time. Neither of you really think much of it. (You’re just happy he feels good. Happy to see the flush of pink at the tips of his ears and apples of his cheeks.) Maybe you’re in the middle of a fight and you get careless. You hear the swish of a blade at your back, but never feel an impact. You turn to see that Astarion’s saved your ass the only way vampire instinct knew how in that moment, which was to just reach out and grab your attacker’s sword before it could spill any of your precious blood. By the blade.
If he wasn’t wearing those special armored gloves you’d found a few days before he’d probably have lost a few fingers. The steel bends back in his grip as if it’s made of rubber, and there’s a very comical split second where your heads snap toward one another to share matching looks of “what the fuck??” Before the fighting continues.
MAYBE one day you watch the guy get stabbed. Like, impaled in a way that should have meant Withers is about to be dragged out here by his dusty ass robes to perform some quick resurrecting or else. It takes longer than you’d like to get free enough to make a break for him, but when you do you nearly knock poor Shadowheart on her ass in your hurry to pass. Every millisecond feels like an hour. Your heart pounds in your ears so loudly that you can’t hear the scream of the creature before him as you take it down with a single blow.
In hindsight, you must have looked ridiculous. Overdramatic, even, considering you don’t have time to fuss over him as he lie bleeding like you assumed he would be. Your hands tremble in front of you as you watch him stand up from his crouched position. His pretty face is screwed up in a way that you first assumed meant great pain, but now you realize he’s just ? Surprised? Well, that makes two of you at least.
Astarion’s leather armor hits the dirt with a dull thud. With pursed lips and a bit of a hum, he’s lifting up the hem of his bloodied tunic. Pale fingers swipe thick crimson away from his belly to reveal the soft, unmarred skin that lay beneath. You nearly faint right then and there, and that asshole just laughs. Positively elated.
After a moment, a long moment, you start to laugh alongside him. It’s shaky with relief. Disbelief.
He plants a quick, cheeky kiss to the side of your head for your heroic efforts, anyway. You just learn to roll with it.
Maybe one day you walk into your room at the Elfsong, and nearly jump out of your skin when you find him sitting cross-legged on the ceiling. Just full on chilling, looking pleased as punch to have found something else he didn’t know was possible for him. You obviously just stand there and stare at him like ??? for a while. It’s endearing how happy he looks with that smug little smirk, pale curls wild and clothes sitting odd on his frame from the change in gravity.
When you ask, all he can really say is that it just kind of happened? That he very suddenly felt like being up, and logically that meant he should try crawling up the wall to satisfy that craving. He’d been up there for a couple hours before you showed up- even took a little bit of a rest to pass the time. You wish you were there to see his face when he found out- to hear the mad little giggles that spilled from his lips when he stood up from his scuttling and just hung upside down in disbelief because why in the hells didn’t he find out about this one sooner?
(Maybe if you ask nicely, he’ll bring you up there with him on his back just so you can see how strange everything looks from high up on the ceiling. Maybe you’ll use it as an opportunity to scare the ((figurative)) pants off of Gale when he eventually comes looking for you. Endless entertainment.)
Anyway, you feed the guy regular enough and I imagine there is so much to discover about him that the two of you will be entertained for years to come. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll wake up to a fluffy white bat flying circles around the ceiling of your bedroom, and at that point it won’t even be a real surprise to you.

Mystictober Day 26-- AU
Mint Eye is obviously a vampire cult (960 words). Content warning: death mention
“Wow, this place is… honestly kinda fucked up,” you share, patting the strange vampire on the hand. “I get that you guys are vampires, but are you also allergic to lamps? It seems like this building is set up to rely a little too much on natural light, considering y’all would die if you came in contact with the sun.”
Unknown grits his teeth— which results in an unhealthy-sounding scraping noise when his fangs clatter together— and tightens his grip on your wrist as he drags you into what appears to be a random room. It’s hard to tell with him, though. He may very well have a plan that you simply aren’t party to. “Stop saying things like that about the Mint Eye,” he orders, “You wanna make me go hungry?”
“Are you… threatening to get rid of me if I keep talking shit about your vampire cult?” You hiss right back at him, “Because you can honestly just say that without any of this roundabout bullshit. The idea of getting murdered is way scarier to me than the idea that you might not get to eat me, obviously? Seriously, man, when was the last time you talked to a regular, mortal human being?”
“Week ago,” Unknown grumbles. It’s hard to tell if he’s chastened or if he’s simply biding his time before he rips your throat out with his fangs, but that’s a risk you’re willing to take. You figure he’s planning on drinking your blood whether he’s pissed off or not, so you may as well go out with a bang and at least try to help him cultivate a sense of empathy for humankind.
“Okay, but I bet the conversation was something like, ‘please don’t eat me, please, please,’” You put on an exaggerated begging voice for this impression, and the dilation of Unknown’s pupils as you do so isn’t lost on you. Okay, so now you’ve activated… something within him. That probably isn’t very good, but you’re in too deep to turn back now. “And then you ate them anyway, as one of your many dastardly vampire cult activities.”
Unknown snarls, some sort of base predatory instinct taking over as he regards you. “You don’t know what you’re talking about, cutie,” he informs you, “The believers aren’t even vampires.”
“So, you admit this is a c—”
Before you can even say the word ‘cult,’ there’s a hand over your mouth. “You must be confused,” he addresses you in a patronizing tone, “I’m saving you from the world of humans who would only want to hurt you, and I’m even letting you stay alive after I already tasted your blood.” That was a long time ago, though, before he even put you in that weird apartment and tried to make you talk to those strange people. “You should be nicer to me, or else you might have to face the consequences.” That’s a warning, not a threat.
“Do you normally drink all the blood in somebody’s body?” You ask, alarmed. You didn’t think he left his victims alive, necessarily, but most human adults have an awful lot of blood in them. How hungry must this guy be if he’s draining them on a regular basis? Unless he isn’t eating on a regular basis— but that doesn’t make sense. He lives in a castle, which is apparently full of humans. Why wouldn’t he be eating?
Unknown can evidently still hear you, even with his hand over your mouth (which isn’t much of a surprise, considering his superhuman abilities), because he hums in disagreement. “No,” he informs you flatly, though he’s waited too long to fully convince you of this assertion. Vampires can lie, can’t they? “I get rid of them so they won’t tell anybody that they met a vampire.” Something isn’t quite adding up here.
“And yet I’m not allowed to call this a cult,” you grumble, “Unaliving people because they found out about your cult is, like, textbook cult behavior.”
“What?” Unknown asks. It’s pretty clear that he’s approaching the end of his very limited patience, and considering that he has fangs and glowing eyes and super-strength, you feel it’s probably best to get back on his good side as soon as you can.
“Sorry, I guess you’re not online too much,” you decide to rephrase your bold accusation. Maybe Unknown just didn’t understand what you were saying. “Unaliving means killing.”
He just rolls his eyes. “I’m not stupid, prince(ss). Maybe you should watch your mouth before I have to show you just how clever I can be.” You don’t know what he means by that, and you’re not sure you want to find out.
“Maybe if you have a snack, you won’t be so cranky.” Still, you get the feeling that this guy kinda likes it when you push his buttons. After all, you’ve done nothing else since you’ve met him, and he still elected to bring you back to his creepy vampire headquarters. And he hasn’t told you that he wants you to stop bothering him. He’s just made it clear that if you continue to bother him, he’ll drink your blood. Considering the circumstances, you’re fairly certain that he’s planning to do this regardless of your behavior, so it doesn’t serve as much of a deterrent.
Unknown snorts, removing his hand from your mouth. “Want me to eat you up?” He asks mockingly.
But two can play at this game, and if he honestly thinks otherwise, then he’s got another thing coming. “I just think you’d be in a better mood if you did.”
Unknown does not permit any further conversation before sinking his fangs into your neck. You can’t really blame him for that— it’s what you wanted, after all.

You know how you have a werewolf and Vampire au? How about a were-vampire au?!
Alma was a vampire and Pedro was a werewolf. It's not really SAID that werewolves and vampires shouldn't be together but it's heavily implied when they learn their history (mostly at a young age).
Pedro, however, was an open-minded guy and Alma didn't like being told what to do so, after getting to know each other for a few good years, they got married. There would be no use in hiding it, both species people know what the other smells like so even if they tried there would have been no point.
Now they weren't public about, they let their respective families know what was happening and gave them the choice to either be in ("we stay family") or out ("You can stay mad all you want but don't tell anyone, we're still family whether you like it or not"). Some chose to keep quiet while distancing themself, very few others kept quiet and supported them, and others...well...were threatened that their daughter/niece/cousin was doing wrong and voiced it. (The children in their families just followed the logic of whatever their parents were saying)
Their voice went unheard and uncared for of course. And like always, those voices got pissed and started to talk. One thing led to another, and they were ostracized by their own communities (all except their own parents and few family members)
I'm going with a wholesome (bitter-sweet I suppose) idea where Alma is going to outlive Pedro BUT I did some research and apparently, Werewolves live 1700 to 2100 years. (I know it's not fact but I'm sticking with it). He became an adult a long time ago though, he's just living out the rest of his adult life.
So, let's say he lives until the triplets are 2200 years old (vampire equivalent to 22) so they got to know him pretty well before he passed.
And Pedro was happy that they got their mother's life span (or at least he hopes they do/did). He wants them to live a long life after all. And, according to his logic, he got to know and raise them. That was good enough in his books. Plus, he'll see his nietos, not in a way his wife and kids wanted him to, but he'll see them nonetheless and still love them.
Now onto the powers -
From what I remember in movies, were-vampires are very taboo but very powerful as well. Too powerful sometimes. When it comes to growing up as one, I think is like...really hard.
They have the standard features from both sides
Claws
Fangs (but more like double canines if that makes sense)
Can climb walls (I remember watching a movie where a werewolf did that so...yeah, both sides ig.)
Fortunately, they can go out in the sun. (Alma and Pedro found that out when Julieta ran outside for the first time. Safe to say they almost had a heart attack. Vampires don't instantly poof into smoke when in contact with sunlight, but they do get severely burned)
Vampires have dark red eyes, Werewolves have light yellow almost golden eyes, so a combination of that to me would be reddish orange?
They can transform into a were-bat...I guess? Basically, looks like a werewolf with bat wings and ears. However, transformation is often painful, so they don't do it much. They only do it for emergencies.
The full moon doesn't make them transform but they are irritable and more prone to snap. The reason for this is because their bones and skin are achingly telling them they have to transform but the vampire side won't allow it/gives them a choice in the matter. However, aching bones are something they rather deal with then transforming.
Super strength, heightened senses, etc.
Seeing as they are part werewolf, they don't have to drink blood like that. Werewolves eat just about anything whether it's cooked or not so...they eat what they want. Alma gives them blood from time to time just to be safe though.
When it comes to the werewolf and vampire communities, the triplets interact with both because their mother raised them to not care about what other people think of them.
But it does come down to preference when it comes to people they want to be around.
Bruno is shy and has a hard time being around and species of people, but he finds humans easier to be around. When he has eye contacts on, humans don't look at him as if he's a freak, bad omen, or some mystery.
It hurts that humans are more accepting of him (despite not knowing what he is) then the true sides of his species.
Julieta doesn't mind any species of people, if you are polite, she will be polite. But if your rude, she'll be rude right back but still a little polite. She doesn't really interact with Werewolves or Vampires often but when she does, she acts like she doesn't see them.
Pepa on the other hand...well...if you have something to say to her, she'll say something right back. She's not as polite or proper as Julieta either. Heck, you can just look at her wrong and she'll get snippy.
But both sisters prefer humans or any other monster type than vamps and werewolves. Alma hates this, and from the afterlife, Pedro does too but they can't blame them.
Sooo, yeah, that's about it. For their husbands, I'm not really sure what to do. The plan was to make Agustin a werewolf and Felix a vampire.
But, by the time Isabela is 21 it'll almost be his time to you know, permanently stay in the ancestral plane. And that kind of makes me sad so I'm I think he should be a vampire too?
I don't think the grandkids would necessarily be hybrids, probably look more vampiric, but they would still have certain looks/behaviors/smells similar to a werewolf, I think?
OH??? I FW IT HEAVY 💥💥💥
Pedro very sad BUT AT LEAST HE LIVED A FEW CENTURIES!!! So we move. I think them looking more like vampires but still having werewolf traits is very cool <333
Also the husbands???? Uhhhhh idk either tbh, maybe just keep them vampires?? But again I guess it depends °3° shootout to Julieta for getting along with other species. Shoutout to Pepa for being ready to square up with anyone 💪💪💪 and shoutout to Bruno for finding his peace 🗣🗣
Honestly love the concept!!! W Alma and Pedro, haters gonna HATE 🗣🗣🗣

i see vampires and werewolves Lore and i come back again with my
So, wwvithin the setting, vampires and werewolves/wyfwolves are inherently connected.
Because a vampire can happen in one of twwvo wwvays: either through a bite, or a werewolf being killed, but not properly disposed of.
See, to after killing a werewolf, you're SUPPOSED to burn the corpse and throwwv it in a source of running wwvater, except the heart, wwvhich is to be buried under holy ground. (Doesn't havvwe to be Christian, can be any sacred place)
Vampires havvwe access to immense powwver, mind control, shape-shifting, phasing through wwvalls, ect. But it takes CENTURIES for them to be able to use any of it.
Werewolves on the other hand, they havvwe INSTANT access to their abilities, because the abilities of a wolf are just scaled up vvwersions of wwvhatevvwer their human self wwvas good at. Fighting? Ya nowwv havvwe super strength. Tracking? Your nose is evvwen BETTER than most other wwvolvvwes. That kinda stuff.
But they CAN use minor magic. Stuff like controlling animals, and minor telekinesis, or travvweling through shadowwvs. If they wwvere a mage before turning, they'll havvwe all their prevvwious powwver, but cranked to 11.
Wwvhich wwvould be great if: they could control any of it off the bat, (wwvhich they can't, because they need time to hone those skills), they didn't get hit wwvith Amnesia after the first turn, and they didn't run the risk of losing themself completely to the beast any time they turned outside of the same moon phase as their initial transformation.
Wwverewolvvwes happen in twwvo wwvays: bites or bloodlines. And a werewolf could havvwe been human OR a wwvolf originally. Twwvo werewolves havvwing a kid isn't usually a good things, esp if one wwvas originally a wwvolf and the other human. The kid wwvill be born in full Werewolf form, and that wwvill leavvwe you wwvith something that isn't a "child that is sometimes a wwvolf, or sometimes a monster" it's a "monster that is sometimes a kid or a wolf."
This may or may not be wwvhat's up wwvith Hunterstuck Gamzee/Gabriel.
Werewolves can only be killed wwvith Silvvwer, or fire, but certain plants like Holly, Mistletoe, and Roses can hurt them.
Vampires havvwe these same wwveaknesses, but also are wwveakened by Mustard Seed and Garlic. And also Fisherman's nets. Wwve don't knowwv wwvhy, it might be the knots or something braided into the ropes. They can be harmed by blessed objects and cannot be around dogs. Staking them Does Not Kill Them, and neither wwvill sunlight, but those DO wwveaken them. Staking them makes them go into a coma, actually.
The only wwvay to kill a vvwampire is to: stake it into it's coffin, cut it up, behead it, bury the head under a crossroad, bury the heart under a source of running wwvater, and scatter the ashes of the rest of it.
Vampires are ALSO incapable of using Proper Spells. They can control animals and all that undead shit, but they can't Summon Fire or Teleport, or any of that.
That's the domain of Mages.

Hey, quick question! Sorry if this is stupid question or one that you don't want to answer, which I get, but I'm just curious. For the Father Lost Boys, what if the Reader turned out to have powers? How do you think they would react?
Sorry if I'm bothering you.
Thanks in advance!
Anon no question you ask me will ever be stupid and you are never bothering me!!!!
I love all requests and I just take a lot of time to respond to them because they get eaten or they sit in my drafts as I work on ten million other things because I can’t focus on one task for longer than ten minutes 😭
But back to the post
Dwayne would be super cautious about his child having powers and I believe that he might even seek out something to suppress or get rid of the abilities depending on what they are. If they are something physically (fire powers, super strength, ect.) he would hate it because he sees so many ways it could backfire and hurt the child. Whereas I think mental powers such as mind reading or emotional controlling would be acceptable as long as they didn’t reveal Dwayne manipulative nature.
Marko would delude himself into believing that this is another sign you were meant to be their daughter. Who would take better care of a super powered baby than a group of immortal, powerful vampires. This is an obvious sign that you are meant for them to raise. He would do lots of research into your biological families to see where the powers originated from and see how they are controlled. He would be much more fond of physical powers over mental powers because you’re less likely to escape with physical powers like super strength or speed because they could probably match or surpass you with their vampirism, but mental powers like mind control or mind reading makes it much harder to control or manipulate you. Overall he’s pretty happy with a dash of cautious.
Paul would be curious about your powers and he would most definitely use them to benefit him in some kind of way. Your super speedy? Go steal that couples wallets for him so he can take you out to dinner. You can read minds? Tell him If that girl is interested in him. You can control someone’s emotions? Make David be in a good mood when Paul tells him he fucked up on something. I’d definitely say Paul is the most excited for your powers but only because it benefits him in some way. If you started to use those powers against him in any way like controlling his body to give you the keys to the room your locked in so you could escape or making him hallucinate something from his past, Paul would totally retaliate with his own vampiric powers to get back at you. You wanna give him a bad trip by making him hallucinate an extremely angry David? Guess who’s getting a visit from their dead mommy in their dreams tonight. He’s a petty bitch.
David, as we know, is huge on legacy. He sees his child as an extension of himself so he wants them to be perfect in every possible way. If he was to find out that you have powers he’d see this as his legacy getting stronger because you’re obviously a worthy child of his name. If you have similar powers to his own he’d definitely train you as best he could in how to use them. There is also the chance that if you have the power of immortality that David won’t turn you, it’s a slim chance and you would need to convince him a lot but there is a chance. I think David would prefer you to have a mental power like mind reading or predicting the future because even though it would bite him in the ass so much when your trying to escape, you would also be a huge help if vampire from other territories tried to lay claim to Santa Carla like they have before. He also worries that you having physical powers could harm you in some way, but he doesn’t tell you that as he has no communication skills with his children.
Sorry if this if formatted weirdly but when I get asks I find it easier to just blurt it out into a quick answer rather than making a full fic of it.
Thank you so much for the ask and feel free to leave me asks or requests anytime, just remember that my messages don’t work so you’ll have to communicate with me through asks or else I won’t see it
That’s all ❤️

can. can i request a red infodump perhaps? :3c ive seen them around a bit before but i have uh no idea what their lore/story is at all and im v curious!!!
WWWWWWWYAYYAYAYAYAYAYA !!!
i'm gonna gon on abt his species first cuz ........
i half jokingly refer to red as a "walking content warning" cuz he has a SUPER BAD home life. i made him to cope over 10 years ago, now, so he has a looong history of being used to get through my childhood and as such, his backstory is insane.
all you'd need to really know abt his backstory is like...
His father is a super shit person, his mother is basically missing but she was also not good in her own weird way, he has a sister he rarely speaks to because he's stuck at home and doesn't know how to leave, and he has a brother (red is the youngest) who is stuck in a baby's body and is usually being cared for by his sister (lore below explains why he's like that).
red lives primarily alone as his father is usually not home anymore, and he hates being a vampire or hurting people, and gets suuuper awkward around any pop culture vampire talk which is think is funny.
so red's vampiric species is very simple compared to human made vampiric lore and a lot of things are considered misconceptions, or things that could be attributed to *other* vampiric species that were blanketly attached to the concept of "vampire" by humans who are largely uneducated on them (and tbf most vampiric species aren't super knowledgeable abt each other either in my verse).
their primary biological traits aaare:
they are cold like normal vampire lore, and have fangs (retractable but doesn't need to be extended usually), and will often have very light coloured eyes. they can easily die due to illnesses that normally don't kill humans because of their lower body temp, to blood loss, and can only really be called immortal due to not dying of old age.
they also have a "starvation mode" where if they've been without food for too long, will become animalistic in nature and hunt humans. Red's hair turns near-black and his eyes become red when he is in this mode. they gain incredible strength and even heat vision to hunt down humans so they don't perish. after eating a meal (usually they do it with little care for the person's well-being while like this) they will revert back to their normal selves and have little memory of what happened during this state. although the state itself can store basic memories to help hunt later (such as if certain places are dangerous last time they went there, or if they got attacked for one reason or another). this separation of memories isn't meant to be an allegory for systems btw so i hope no one is thinking that i'm doing that!! ;__;;b!
these vampires start off looking and eating like normal humans, but eventually something within them hits a timer and they turn vampiric naturally (they can convert humans if humans drink their blood though). the process can be seen coming as their appetite lowers and they become a bit sluggish and lower body temp before the process kicks in full swing and they painfully turn to a vampire. after that, their body stops aging.
this specific species of vampires are meant to co-exist with humans and live along side them. humans provide a source of food, and the vampires can help provide protection and even mingle well socially. the vampire species can breed with humans and human-vampire babies on average will usually turn vampiric later in adulthood, but vampire-vampire children (especially vampires with little human lineage) tend to turn too quickly.
his vampiric species was doing well within small human communities and living how they're supposed to, before humans from far away locations came, saw the vampires and how they fed off of humans, and drove them away. plenty of vampires lost their lives to this invasion, and the other humans were too easily switched over to an aggressive mob mentality towards them, so they were forced to live isolated and prey on humans in the dark. it's def possible not all of them turned against vampires, but it was too dangerous for them to stay.
Red was born around the time this happened (he's abt 2000 yo usually)........
during the time humans and vampires slowly started to be reintroduced to each other, vampiric based pop culture started to become popular in human societies so the vampires weren't too keen on the whole, slay vampires thing media was doing a lot of. because of the focus on vampires as a pop culture thing, humans started applying a lot of concepts to them on a broad scale (unable to be in the sun, garlic allergy, etc). red typically only went into human cities or villages out of curiosity, but was terrified of saying anything to them in case he was found out (esp seeing as the whole.. kill vampire thing was a popular thing in media.......)
a lot of these ideas were applied due to sightings or findings of vampiric persons by humans, but were individualistic traits that were then applied to all vampires (my fav is like, the garlic thing straight up just being one guy's allergy). (the bat turning thing is not possible for red's species of vampires, but it is possible for a fey vampire combo species that dwell in the forest. they are shapeshifters that shift between an animal/furry form and a human form).
red's species, originally being a pretty small group in a small area, has a long history of vampires taking leadership positions and even being strict about their culture and stances on interaction between them and humans (especially after the drive to exterminate them, they developed a lot of strict rules to protect their kind and youth). red's father is part of these leaders, and red was supposed to be the heir as he's the only one who turned late enough to be an actual adult, but because of his pacifist nature and generally meek demeanour he was already on his father's bad side growing up.
the day of his turning was to be held with the other leader dudes, but when provided a person to have as his first meal, he refused to hurt them and was quickly labelled a disgrace and no longer allowed to be the heir.
red's father, and plenty of the other old guys appointed leader of the species, typically regard humans as nothing more than food things and to not be considered with compassion and especially not to be mingled with. red has made a number of human friends over the centuries but learned pretty fast to make sure his dad never. ever. finds out he has them.
despite the seemingly strict ruling on their vampiric society, a lot of young vampires (and especially those from turned humans) have a large disconnect from them and usually just know they exist and have these rules, but it's not like they can do anything about their spread out community doing what they want.
my favourite part of the modern age for them is that they have a vampiric social media and the only way to be able to sign up is to be vetted by a confirmed vampire of their species. they have their own memes and whatnot, and my fav one is "the vlad". the lovingly chosen name for the human stereotype of a vampire. a lot of them use it mockingly, but there's a tonne of them who also genuinely love the vlad and make groups for being fans of it. count chocula gets posted every halloween, ofc.
red isn't super active on vampiric facebook but he is signed up. he's not good at the whole technology thing in general, but he is aware of the vlad and will often mutter "a vlad..." when he sees one, mystified.
one time a guy who was signed up was found out not to be an actual vampire and it sent the community into a frenzy cuz how tf did they get on the site when it's so strict. it instantly became a classic meme for them, the one time a vampire kinnie joined somehow (obviously im not mocking kins, i am also a kinnie). they only found out cuz the guy actually confessed and was quickly banned. no one knows who vetted them, either.
i think im done w this dump for noooow even tho im sure it's not everything just cuz my net went down like 3 times while typing this GOD
if u wanna know more abt red himself tho i could rant abt his friends and their polycule tho hee hee hoo hoo

Paranatural Parents: A Quick Analysis (Spoilers)
Please blacklist #long post for this because a “read more” will be unavailable if this blog were to be deleted in the future and it won’t be accessible.
Also no beta on this analysis
Anyways, been awhile since reading Paranatural seriously (ever since the story’s style changed to a text format it was harder to focus and read it). Anyways, there’s something that ‘clicked’ for me when reading some the recent pages. And it was simply that Paranatural is full of incompetent adults (no brainer). But specifically, it was full of incompetent PARENTS. Especially the ones who are involved in the whole world of spirits.
Okay, okay. Think about it. Isabel’s attitudes towards her family. The way that her grandfather finds ways to constantly point out her flaws and teaches her to use spirits as weapons. Isabel’s father, who we recently learned about, DOES want to care about his daughter, still chooses to be involved in the realm of spirits because he believes that Cherub’s words will help to make balance in the world. And yet, Isabel still doesn’t want to be around her father (based off the attitudes she has and it took a lot of strength for her to even ask her mom to drop her off). Isabel has something important to tell her father, but she reacts negatively when he doesn’t take her seriously. In a nutshell, Isabel has 2 guardian figures in her life who do not listen to her. Her grandfather wants her to be a disciplined warrior at the age of 12, while her father doesn’t seem to do his part in making communication between them easier.
Cody, his father was also involved in the Consortium. That man is a business man now and all he does is try to take property away from people. Back in the long (Jim the Brain)chapter, Cody is super hostile towards his father, who’s about to kill a spirit (because that’s what his father did back in the Consortium; stab spirits). Cody becomes cold and harsh, saying that the spirit was HIS to kill. Like, Cody took a deadly turn and it makes for a theory that his father taught him to be a cold-blooded killer towards spirits. But in the evidence, it’s vague why Cody feels this way towards spirits (we only got Davy saying that even though he wants to protect those he loves, Davy pulls out the ‘dad will take care of it’ card). Cody yells at him after that, forcing him to leave the school (due to vampire rules). It ‘s clear that Cody doesn’t his father to be on his turf and that he can hold his ground at school (remember, he’s school president). But Davy and Cody have a family tension the involves in protecting what they care about from the ‘evil spirits.’ However, Davy probably failed really bad as a parent if Cody gave him death glares and yelled at him.
EDIT: another thing to consider is that Davy sees his son as a reflection of him (literally) and gets really pissed when Max counters his statement by saying that Cody isnt his mirror. clearly Davy cannot see his son as a son, but some sort of copycat that needs to follow in his footsteps.
Rick Spender (as an adult) is literally the worst at being a reliable person for the Spirit Activity Club, theres records of the way he failed to be there for most of the members. Failing to reassure and listen to Isabel and purposefully keeps isaac in the dark that sparked these two to fight each other because they were both hurting
Ed’s parents who were clearly part of the Consortium and they eventually met their doom WHEN Ed was BARELY 3 YEARS OLD. Ed’s parents weren’t there long enough to actually raise him and see him grow up. Like, they decided that it was okay to pass their kid off to a new guardian in the most nightmare fueled moments before they disappeared. They didn’t try to leave him have a happy memory, but planned to just erase themsleves from his memories??
There’s plenty of other parents who also failed to be decent parents in the story (they weren’t part of Consortium, but they existed and basically don’t look after their kids. Penny and her parents’ treatment towards her and the way they favored her brother. Where the hell is Isaac’s parents). But it seems that a lot of the adults who are deeply involved in the spirit’s world, often tend to overlook their own children. Most of them claim to want to protect their kids from it, only pushing them away and the kid feeling neglected. But in the end, working in the Consortium makes these parents see their own children as an after thought because they’re buried in this this work, only dragging their kids in the mess.
And let’s look at Max Puckett. His mother was part of the Spectrals and possibly in the Consortium. She must have seen this sort of cycle. All of these parents who had spectral kids and planned out their futures to live that sort of life. Isabel’s family planning for her to be a warrior. Ed’s parents accepting their doomsday fate as workers of the Consortium. Max’s mom looked at all of this and didn’t want that. She would not repeat this mistake as other parents of the Consortium. And you know what? She married Peter Puckett, a man who wasn’t a spectral, or a vampire, or a wealthy man. But here’s the thing that Peter Puckett had that every other parent lacked; emotionally availability and unconditional love and care.
Like, Dad Puckett didn’t give up on his kids when his wife died. He picked himself up and did everything to raise them. He accepts that Max is Max, a moody preteen. He gets into the same interest as he does (Insolent Children music) and get involved in his life. Yes, he seems like a manchild at first glance because of his happy attitude and not being that smart. But he can be serious about serious topics when needed. He takes both of his kid to a kids’ arcade in order to let them have fun and be able to ask if Max was being bullied in school. He doesn’t make it a joke either, Peter Puckett is direct and wants to make sure that Max wasn’t being bullied in school. Hell, Dad Puckett took Max to the hospital for a broken arm and everything and you see that his face was full of concern for Max’s well-being. He literally makes time just for his kids no matter what it is. Going to a concert? Yes. Going to the hospital and rushing to get there? Peter will not hesitate. Like, Dad Puckett found the strength to continuing being there for his kids after his wife died. He moved to a new town to begin a new life, he takes their physical and emotional health seriously, he is involved in their interests and he listens to his kids, he doesn’t put pressure on his kids’ futures, all he wants is for them to be happy and safe. No matter what bad happens, Dad Puckett will always make himself emotionally available for his kids.
EDIT: another thing that was interesting during a re-read was that Peter said that Max took after his mom in personality and humor, and honestly that checks out based on what we know about her. This contrasts to Davy treating his son as a mirror, but in reality, Cody is nothing like him. Basically saying that Mr. Puckett understands his son better than Davy assumes what Cody is.
Meanwhile, all of the parents of the Consortium are fighting against a doomsday and not actually thinking about what their kids need most is to be there for them.
To Mom Puckett: you chose the best husband who was more prepared to care about his children

trick or treat AGAIN. gimme another or more smacking
AGH NO NOT THE SMACKS PLEASE
As evidenced by the vampire homoeroticism I always have a soft spot for urban fantasy / urban magic alternative universes, and I like building out abilities or gifts and how that might shape player personalities or careers to a certain degree. I name a couple powers/what people are in this fic but don't actually dive into them so:
Hyman - prophet/divination. Had debilitating visions and headaches as a kid but worked through them using both hockey and literature. Makes sense of his visions using literary tropes, but struggles to give real, concrete answers for things because of it. You can tell when he's using his gift/being sent a vision because he'll start weeping gold dust.
Nurse - part of a famous hunter family / enclave back in Ontario. He doesn't do much of the politics or anything, but he's raised knowing most of the magical history and creatures. And how to kill them, but - y'know.
Kulak - grew up with and around hunters but not to the same degree as his Ontario counterparts. I think Alberta is generally less magical than other parts of the country, so he has familiarity with magic and magical creatures, but more theory than practice.
Skinner - half empathy, half divination; basically has an additional sense that allows him to detect the nature of relationships between people. It's really niche for a gift, even for in-universe, which is the only reason he's able to play hockey with it active.
Bouchard - werewolf :) that's it. I think werewolfism is both hereditary and transmissible, but his was hereditary but maybe recessive. Typical werewolf stuff - strength, endurance, turns into a creature every full moon.
McLeod (RIP) - You know Jubliee from the X-Men? With the funny little fireworks? I think he'd have something akin to that. Very mild light manipulation that he mostly uses to be annoying at his teammates. He probably isn't allowed to use it on the ice though.
Gagner - some sort of telepathy, I think. I feel like telepathy would be cheating in the eyes of the NHL but he probably a fairly low grade that means he can't actually use it to read the play or predict opponents, so it's like... okay. Imagining the negotiations about this stuff between NHLPA and the NHL amuses me, can you tell.
Nugent-Hopkins - faerie of the Winter Court, mostly associated with the element of water and being kinda shitty. He wasn't exactly that important back in the land of Faerie, hence fucking off to Earth and playing hockey. Immortality, general magical powers but particularly over snow/ice/water, and I like to think that fae like playing trickster and have some psychological related abilities such as manipulating emotions. While not important, he's still powerful compared to most people and magical beings, and does take advantage of that by making deals and making sure people are owing him favours. He's nice. I swear.
Non-Oiler players:
Puljujarvi - another weird prophet guy! I think he has a gift for making the right connections at the right time - finding people who need something or someone. Like a super networker, but he can't explain why these two people should meet
T.D. (head athletic therapist) - lie detector, basically. I think it'd be useful, especially working with hockey players.
MTkachuk - werewolf. Yes, solely because that dynamic between him and Draisaitl would be extremely funny. Extremely hereditary for their family.
Reinhart - grew up with McDavid as a hunter.
If YOU have opinions on what someone should be / want me to build out your favourite little guy in any of my deeply convoluted aus you can always send me an ask :)

tagged by the lovely @crepuscularqueens sorry I always take sooo long to get these done, lol
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
144
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
527,412
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly Roswell New Mexico! Though I dabble in The Vampire Diaries and accept prompts for Lockwood and Co, Fate the Winx Saga, Riverdale and Hadestown
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Something to Celebrate- a short little Chenford dancing scene
Can I lead You Astray?- a rivusa get together fic
Wanna See What’s Under That Attitude- Hallmark Christmas movie fake dating Valevans, which is only so highly rated because I wrote it at fandoms peak interest in the pairing
Swing Life Away- rnm all human au, this was and still is my passion project
Like the Sky- a short missing scene from Lockwood and Co, and an exploration of Lucy’s feelings for Lockwood and Norrie
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I wrote for the community so it’s really cool to discuss the characters
The only exceptions are rude comments get to sit- unless I think it’s a misunderstanding than I’ll respond with a simple redirect and thank you
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Angst is NOT my thing, but probably do you remember? which just has Michael fall asleep before Max can ask about Alex, so it ends in their still fractured pre-show relationship
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All my fic has happy endings pretty much! But the one that probably felt the most joyful to me personally ours which was my first foray into malexa and just ends with the sweetest big group moment
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope! Not since I moved into the rnm fandom, barring like one comment on a Forrest fic all I’ve ever gotten is really really nice interactions <3
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Haha yes, all kinds. From the softest vanilla euphemism full sex to weak ass bdsm (sorry I haven’t quite got hardcore there yet- like I keep blushing and backing out on letting Max wear a collar)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Not really- I have one crossover written and another in the works. Rnm/Tvd which kinda writes itself.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I’m aware of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope- ik I would be terrible to work with cause I’m super particular, but I’m not against the idea.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
You’re not gonna believe this- Echo
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The Joniz kidnapping fic! I started back during s3 and formatted the entire thing, only for them to reveal more info on Jones so I had to replay it, and then he actually kidnapped Liz, fed her and dressed her and I was like ‘this is my fic!’
16. What are your writing strengths?
Idk- I think I put a lot of care and effort into making the characters actions and reactions plausible and realistic, cause I studied psychology for a bit and it’s one of my interests, so I just apply it a little too hard. Which feeds into a weakness cause it means I always feel incapable of characters pov’s I don’t think about an absurd amount
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
New POV’s and commas
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I love it personally- but the little Spanish I did retain from highschool isn’t enough to actually write it (so I use google translate) but I’m hoping once I have more free time to take up duolingo and actually learn it
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Doctor Who
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Swing Life Away- it’s like a child to me, however poorly written
no pressure tags @lilshitwayne @morganadw @ajna-eye-cogitations @beautifulcheat @ladynox @maeglinthebold and anyone who wants to!

VKR- Vampires
At their core, Vampires are like feral cats or even drug addicts: they’re desperate creatures that will do anything to get the blood they live off of because of the inescapable need to drink blood at any cost. It cannot be cured, as it is a species-changing curse/condition. I also don’t like it when there are cures for it.
Vampires that have regular access to blood are composed creatures, and high-society vampires are usually so. However, if thirst kicks in after a while, they’ll do anything for the blood they need. They cannot eat human food, as they’ll vomit it out after a minute. The only solid thing that makes their stomachs feel full is flesh, and they’ll vomit that up, too, after a minute.
The origin of vampires is like VTM (Vampire: the Masquerade): the first murderer (Cain) was cursed by God to only be able to feed off of his own kin. He would live forever with his ailment, but at the cost of being extremely fragile, the sun would peel his skin, and he’d be stuck with an animal’s features to hunt prey (super speed and strength).
The Vampire’s bite is, effectively, The Mark of Cain. So it makes sense that Hunter’s Mark is called The Mark of Abel.
Vampires' abilities are the usual speed, strength, and enhanced agility, but also the ability to manipulate blood since a weakness of vampires is their own blood (like in the Tokyo ghoul, with ghouls being weak to their own Kagune). Few purebloods (or vampires born as vampires with mostly vampires in their line) have special powers, such as illusory abilities like Shizuka and the Hio bloodline.
The basic classes of vampires are:
Class A: purebloods, or vampires born as vampires. That’s literally it. Half of the night class are purebloods.
Class B: Similar to purebloods but with some humans in their line, though the humans are either turned or the human side is overwritten by pure vampire DNA. So a mildly less respected version of Purebloods
Class B (subsection)/"Class C": There are also vampires that were once humans. These guys are the most common to find in your city and prefer to keep to themselves, while the other third are just hedonistic asshats, and one-third are just trying their best to work with humans.
Class E/feral vampire: Feral vampires are like your usual street junkies or feral cats. Desperate creatures who couldn’t find enough blood to live off of and are grateful for whoever will provide, no matter how sketchy. Unfortunately, their humanity is nearly gone, and they have certain periods of relapse where they can’t hold themselves back and will drink from whatever body is near, whether they want it or not. They can be any vampire; they just need to be devoid of blood for so long that they look pretty skinny.
Untouchables, Daywalkers, and Half-Breeds: Dhampirs or half-humans Their blood is considered the most repulsive to taste. The high class sees them as diluted and gross, while most class B’s just don’t really have much of an opinion about them, though ironically, both are a bit jealous of them since their human side allows them to walk in the sun and have little need of blood; in fact, they get sick if they drink too much.
Feral vampires, or "Class/Level E's," also have some cat and dog-like behaviors, such as food aggression and hissing; sometimes, they’ll even eat a tiny bit of flesh for the hell of it, but most vampires can eat flesh before promptly vomiting it, as well, though they don’t because, yknow, that’d just make them straight-up zombies or ghouls. Plus, flesh is unnecessary in the grand scheme of things, and you know, they’ll just vomit it out. (Based on that one scene in The Lost Boys where the vampires straight up eat a dude.)
The vampire's weaknesses are the traditional silver, stakes, religious symbols, the sun, holy water or weapons, and their own blood. Silver is highly corrosive to vampires, and if a vampire holds something silver, it’ll take about a minute before it fully corrodes through their skin to their muscles. If they are shot, their organs will start melting unless it’s removed. Also, some magic spells work against them, though many vampires also use magic, like the Aido family. Vampires get highly nauseous and dizzy around the religious symbols they worship.
Vampires most recognizable features are their pale, corpse-like skin, pointy elf-like ears, and red eyes. They cannot blush because blood has stopped running in their bodies, though they still bleed. Their hearts do not beat.
Once they are bitten, vampires go into a berserk state where they’ll drink from whatever multiple people are near them since they need enough blood to fill their bodies. Suppressed vampires have the worst of it since they need several years' worth of blood.
Vampirism can be suppressed in two ways: the Hunter’s Mark tattoo, a tattoo that goes over the bite that keeps the subject looking human and their thirst in check, though their thirst will come out in random bouts, and if they’re around blood, it’s most likely they’ll lose their control.
The second way is a spell that completely seals off both their vampire side and their memories, but eventually, the subject will go insane from hallucinations and nightmares if the spell isn’t lifted by biting the subject. The spell requires a blood sacrifice that will kill the caster permanently.
Common slurs for vampires used by humans or hunters include:
Bloodsucker
Corpse
Suck-Head (like in Blade)
Parasites (courtesy of Kate)
Demon/Devil (courtesy of Kate)

I doubt im gonna be super expanding this AU but I'll try to answer these questions with what I came up with in the past hour:
- Their parents were found out for meeting together and had to leave/were gotten rid of so none in that regard. Before that though the vampire parent left Mario with a couple she knew well and the werewolf passed Luigi onto a friend, each of the respectable species.
- For now let's say they had a common favourite spot (for different reasons) and ran into eachother a lot because of that. They fought at the beginning but they both would still keep coming back there despite the clashes and so they decided to form a truce on those grounds. They got to talk, learn more about eachother and eventually fell in love despite the odds.
- Originally they knew nothing about having a sibling but the friends of their parents they grew up with told them eventually something about a brother in passing. So at one point they knew they had a sibling but they just didn't know the species.
- It was confusing. They weren't total adults yet so they just kinda bumped into eachother after Mario runs off from a formal party. Then it's a bit of staring, maybe a scream of suprise. The lingering question of: do we fight now? It ended up pretty positively though, they were just happy to have found the other part of their real family. They started meeting after this more and playing together in the woods.
- Unfortunately yes they do and yes Mario would live longer. It's a scary question he had thought about briefly but always tries to shake off as quickly as he can. All that matters now though is living in the moment to them.
- It doesn't make a large difference visibly tbh except maybe for Luigi's longer fangs. It does matter if you take blood purity into account as they would be considered tainted.
- While Mario won't combust into ashes the moment he touches a sunray he still gets a terrible rash from standing a bit too long the sun. A few hours would probably kill him or he just wouldn't be able to handle the pain at that point. As for the powers bag he has really good hearing, rather great strength, can turn into a bat, has enhanced self healing etc. As for blood I'd say human blood is considered a delicacy in the vampire community and not the only food source. Mario can eat anything really it just wont give much nutritional value and will make him feel a bit weak. He tries to evade drinking purely blood but will if he has to. For now a rare steak every now and again does suffice.
- Luigi wolf to human spectrum depends on how full the moon is. Eclipse he just looks like a human guy, new moon to crescent he is little hairy with ears looking more like marios, during quarters his ears start to move up and he gets more hairy, gibbous he starts looking more like the above pic and full moon he reaches a canine state.
- This might be edited in the future but for now I'd say: Yeah humans exist here and so do the Toads, in this world it's normal for humanity to see talking turtles and mushrooms. Also yes both species can be turned to monster kind. While humans are always rather scared of monsters like that, Toads are naturally more open-minded and aren't afraid to employ or sell stuff to them albeit with some caution if the individual seems suspicious/dangerous. It might also have to do with humans having a higher chance of being turned into said monster than Toads.
- It's hard to stay still when you have a lot of energy. His foster parents kept telling him he'll get used to it and maybe even eventually love it but he never became a big fan. Mario was an outdoors kid (which eventually helped him meet Luigi) that wasn't afraid to roll in the mud or get some scratches be it from branches or Luigis claws/playful bite. He grew up to have great social skills thanks to those meetings he got dragged to but thats one of the few positive things he has to say about them.
- It's hard not to get dirty at all considering the lifestyle of his foster pack but he definitely tried his best to stay clean and was known for it. His pack really likes him though despite his quirks, he's always welcome there. Also I completely agree with the statement that he struggled with social cues but also grew up to be very open with his emotions.
- Oh absolutely. While they can't turn back time though they're pretty happy with how things turned out in the end. One can teach the other something new which makes them a good duo.
- Its his trademark in the company (instead of a hat). It makes him look clean for a plumber, confident in his skills too. It doesn't hinder his work that much either. He also just feels pretty with it. He might not be a super fancy type of guy but he still gained some fashion standards growing up.
Happy Halloween🎃!!
Also has anyone made a Monster AU where they're born from a werewolf and vampire couple but grow in different places (cause of the whole vampire vs werewolf naturally hating eachother) only to reunite when theyre older and they start a plumbing buisness together because Mario is a vampire that is tired of super fancy life and Luigi doesn't want to be seen as a feral mindless animal. I think that'd be cool.

Bucky Verse: Winter's Bite
[inspired by @umikochannart‘s incredible vampire!Bucky artwork]
The Winter Soldier was the culmination of several experiments by Hydra scientist Dr. Arnim Zola. An attempt to re-engineer the Super Soldier Serum, techniques for grafting mechanism to human flesh, and of course methods for ensuring full and complete control over a given subject, all were used in the Soldier’s creation. This time, though, something new has been added.
Part of Zola’s attempts at recreating the Serum involved experimentation with subjects and materials that were not fully human. It worked, to a point…the perfected result was used on the Soldier to great effect. His speed, strength, stamina, and reflexes grew to not merely peak but superhuman levels, and he gained an incredible healing factor along with it. There was, however, an unforeseen side effect. In attempting to recreate the Serum Zola was forced to find samples other than his former employer or Steve Rogers, both being unavailable to him. He finally found what seemed to be a suitable substitute from a distant region of the Carpathian mountains of Romania. It seemed perfectly suited to his needs, performed admirably in every test. When finally administered to the Soldier, however, it became apparent what the source of the blood had been.
Zola had used vampiric blood to create his perfect soldier.
Hydra now had a vampire brainwashed and controlled, ready to serve as they saw fit. Keeping him so would require keeping him in cryostasis until needed, and regular use of Zola’s chair and memory-wiping technology, but that was easily done. Keeping him functioning would also require regular meals of blood, but that as well was easily done. Blood bags were the easy solution, though if it came to it…well, feeding recalcitrant captives or traitors to the Soldier could be a very useful threat.
VAMPIRIC LORE IN USE:
He has fangs. They do not retract. Instead, his canines are slightly enlarged and lengthened from most normal humans’. Noticeable, but not glaringly so.
He cannot go out in direct sunlight. Cloud-cover is fine for short periods but still risky. Night is optimal.
He can last upwards of a week between feedings if he is sated, maybe even two if he pushes it; Hydra generally keeps him just hungry enough to be dangerous, which means he needs to feed about every other day when he’s out of cryo.
Weak to silver, particularly heirloom or blessed silver. Both is most potent.
Weak to holy objects/faith ONLY IF BELIEF IS INVOLVED. An atheist holding up a crucifix won’t do a damned thing, nor would a Christian holding a Star of David.
If the item has been blessed by the appropriate person in the faith - e.g. holy water by a priest - this is negated somewhat, but the reaction will always be more powerful if the faith is shared by whoever is using said item.
Superhuman speed, strength, stamina, agility
Superhuman senses - sight, hearing, and scent.
Drawing on his vampiric abilities will weaken him gradually; the longer it’s been since he’s fed, the more effort it takes to draw on his vampiric nature and powers. The body can’t function without fuel.
He can eat human food, but it’s more like a snack rather than anything actually nourishing. It sates the hunger for a little while, but he’ll need to feed eventually or else risk going into bloodlust.

Hiya, teach!! It's been a while since I've made a request, and I didn't see anything about your requests being closed?? Feel free to ignore it if they are, tho :D
So, I have an idea based off of situations I've found myself in. Which is to say, I'm just over 5 feet tall (5'3 - 5'4), but I'm also super strong! So, I was wondering if I could request a gender-neutral reader picking up Bakugo, Dabi, Shigaraki, Ochako, and Toga and their reactions to getting picked up and carried around? You don't have to write all of them if you don't want, but they're some of my favorite characters :D
Ok, hope you have a good day/night, and take your time if you decide to write this ♡♡♡
You know? This was such an adorable request and I truly enjoyed it so thank you so much for requesting babe ❤️ and I hope you have a great weekend.
Title : I'll carry you to heaven
Characters : Bakugo/ Dabi/ Toga/ Ochaco/ Shigaraki/ Gender neutral reader
Genre : Fluff/ angst/ suggestive
Trigger warning : Mentions of bodily injuries
Please do not read if you're a minor
Masterlist|Second Masterlist
Bakugo :
_ "Katsuki, are you not done yet?" you leaned against the door frame, crossing your arms over your chest as an irritated expression plastered itself across your face, "I'm getting really bored without you."
_ "Then maybe you should join me." his smug smirk and suggestive wink were the last thing you needed at that moment.
The tapping of your foot quickened as you watched him get back to his sit ups, only to come to a swift halt as a devilish idea popped up in your head.
_ "I don't need the extra workout and you know it," you approached him slowly, arms still resting across your chest until you were towering over his big sweaty muscled form, "I can easily kick your ass sweetheart." and that was your turn to offer him a teasing wink.
It wasn't strange that his only response was a sarcastic roll of his eyes since he knows first hand how powerful you can be.
In fact, your strength is one of the sexiest things he's seen in his life– something he never fails to remind you of, and in a few seconds, he was able to witness that side of you again but with a dash of playfulness, as you squatted down hooking one arm under his knees as the other supported his back, before standing back up with him in your hold and waltzing out of the room.
_ "The fuck! Put me down y/n this isn't funny!" his screaming protests invaded your poor ears, but it was worth it.
_ "I beg to differ, how does it feel like to be carried around by someone smaller than you are?" your teasing continued until you reached your full length bedroom mirror, "you always rave about my strength so why don't you feast your eyes on what I'm capable of doing?"
He did, silently checking out your reflection with a mixture of embarrassment and obvious admiration that he couldn't– for the life of him, hide from you.
_ "Alright you win," his lips moved closer to trace your ear, "let's go to bed and I'll show you how impressed I am gorgeous."
His words weakened your resolve, and you almost, almost lost your composure straight away.
Toga :
Vampire..
Demon..
Killer..
_ "This is getting boring to be honest, don't you think?" Himiko leaned her head against your shoulder as she observed the new scribbles on the walls, "I was hoping for something new, but they keep writing down the same things each time." her smile was fake– though it might've been convincing to a regular onlooker, but that is not who you are.
You are the one who knows her better than anyone else in the world, "I know right? Fucking idiots." you glared at the poorly written insults which were obviously done hurriedly.. like usual, "let's go back sweetie, you don't have to keep coming here." but you knew it was useless to suggest that, since for some reason she kept coming back to her abandoned family home in order to erase the vicious jottings people liked to leave on the walls.
_ "Let me just clean this up first." she giggled as she started with the task that kept bringing her home every couple of days.
But you were sick of it all.
Sick of the way people never missed a chance to punish her for something she was born carrying, something she had always struggled with and failed to control.
_ "No, this has to stop today." you muttered through clenched teeth before picking her up without a warning, and walking out of that suffocating place.
_ "Y/n, what.. wait.. how," and for once she was at a loss for words.
Was it because– for once, you stood firm against her wishes? Or was it since you did so by carrying her in your arms when you had never done that before?
_ "We're leaving sweetie and that's final, so don't protest."
And she didn't, instead she held on to you tightly, nodding her head as a sincere smile adorned her features.
It was unusual witnessing her quieter side, was she perhaps shy?
_ "You're awfully quiet love, are you feeling alright?" it wasn't an attempt to tease her, you were genuinely worried.
_ "I'm fine just, don't put me down." your heart swelled witnessing this new discovered side of her.
_ "I would never."
Dabi :
_ "Careful!" Touya yelled before pushing you roughly out of danger's way.
You stumbled and fell, crashing onto the hard ground, but that was unimportant.
What mattered the most was your man's condition after receiving the blow in your stead.
_ "Touya! What did you do?" you wobbled back to him, tears already threatening to fall.
It all happened in the blink of an eye, that one wouldn't believe your crew had the upper hand over the heroes just moments ago.
_ "Fuck! Where did that come from? They're using weapons now?" he growled as he struggled to get back up, but his leg was badly injured for him to move anywhere.
_ "Let me see! How bad is it?" you were no longer able to hold back your sobs, "Why did you do this?"
_ "I wasn't gonna let you die idiot, now get out of here before one of them arrives." he was in pain, yet his smirk hadn't left his face since he was trying to reassure you in his own way.
_ "No way, I'm not leaving you behind! Our friends are covering for us so don't worry about a thing," you inspected his injury before tearing up a piece of your shirt to wrap around his thigh, "this should help with the bleeding for now, but we have to get you out quickly."
_ "I can't move y/n," he shook his head and watched as the ferocious fight got nearer, "please listen to me for once and get out of here."
_ "No way, I'm capable enough to carry you in my arms." you mumbled confidently and slipped your arms carefully around his body before standing up with ease and hurrying out of the battlefield.
He was too shocked to say a word, and for a moment, forgot about his busted leg, yet his eyes had never left your determined features.
_ " You're full of surprises y/n," he was clearly impressed, "I wasn't wrong about you, you're one of a kind."
Your expressions softened as you listened to his praises, the one who loves you the most, your biggest supporter.
Ochaco :
You yawned, stretching your arms over your head as you watched the end credits roll up the screen.
_ "Come on gorgeous, it's time for bed," your eyes moved down to your chest where your girlfriend had chosen to settle, "Ochaco, are you asleep already?" your voice dropped to a whisper as your lips rested against her soft hair.
Her only response was a quiet whimper and a tighter hold on your shirt. Cute.
You contemplated staying that way on the couch, cooped up with your girl until morning, if not for the idea of you both waking up with sore muscles in a few hours.
_ "Hey babe, can you hear me?" you tried again, but her soft snores and warm breath fanning over your neck were enough proof that she was indeed sound asleep.
You moved carefully, sneaking your arms around her unconscious form before sitting up and bringing her with you.
She was still comfortably slumbering and you couldn't help the chuckle escaping your throat as you lovingly observed the steady rise and fall of her chest.
Getting off the couch while carrying her in your arms was no big deal, even despite not being much bigger than she is. Though apparently moving around too much had pulled her back from dreamland.
_ "Y/n, what's going on?" her beautiful big eyes blinked in clear confusion and you couldn't resist kissing her cute pouty lips.
_ "I'm carrying you to bed gorgeous."
_ "It's a dream, 'must be a dream." she nuzzled your neck while mumbling against your skin, and you would have thought she was joking if she hadn't fell back to sleep afterwards.
Granted, that was a first for you– picking her up and carrying her in your arms, but her reaction was teasing, even if she wasn't fully conscious of it.
_ "Well then sweetheart, maybe I should start doing this more often until you believe it." you smirked as you finally walked into your bedroom.
Shigaraki :
You pulled on his hair and whined longingly as his lips left yours and moved to devour the warm skin of your neck.
Ever since he possessed full control over his quirk, you became unable to keep your hands off one another. It was as if you wished to compensate for all the time you couldn't freely feel each other's touch.
_ "Tenko, take off your shirt now, I want to feel more of you, please." it was an unending craving you had for one another.
_ "Me too beautiful, this isn't enough." he sat up, removing his shirt and leaning in immediately to recapture your lips.
Your moans were swallowed by his eager mouth and his rough skin against yours felt like heaven.
_ "I love you, Tomura, I love you so much." no matter how many times you've said it, it was never enough.
_ "Me too sweetheart, I love you the most, I fucking love everything about you, especially how your strength can easily match mine." he muttered between a trail of fervent kisses on your neck, chest, and tummy. Only to stop and lift his head up when your chuckles vibrated against his lips.
_ "I'm happy to know that's how you feel," your fingers ran through his messy hair, "most of my previous partners were intimidated by that, especially considering my short stature."
_ "Don't mention any of those bastards again," he was obviously irritated, "keep your eyes on me, only on me." he looked like a little puppy burying his face deep in your chest.
_ "I'm sorry Tomura, I will never do that again," you didn't mean to upset him, so you tried to find a quick way to cheer him up.
And suddenly, your smile returned as you sat up, sneaking your palms to support his butt cheeks before getting out of the bed.
He wrapped his legs around your waist to avoid falling, and the high pitched scream he let out pierced your ears.
_ "What the hell are you doing?! Put me down right now!"
_ "I'm not gonna, I'll carry you around until you forgive me." and you meant it.
_ "Alright I get it! I'm not mad, I'm just jealous." he whispered the last part against your neck.
_ "You shouldn't be, you're the only one I've ever carried this way, that's why I'm doing it." you wanted to show him what he truly meant to you, and as simple as your way of doing it was, you still hoped it would work.. It did.
_ "Never put me down then."

i really love your idea of Ghoul for Jonathan it's so good
Thank you! Honestly there are a ton of good monster/cryptid Jonathan ideas out there alongside the 'maybe he's a diet vampire?' theories. The ghoul thing (as I've rambled about before) is born of the whole 'suddenly taking on corpsey coloring' + 'the religious stuff doesn't hurt him and he seems to be All About killing the Count' = 'being generally more eerie and unsettling' = 'freaky creature that hunts the (un)dead and has no known issue with Christian paraphernalia' = that boy seems a bit ghoulish!
And while Dracula absolutely stole a drink the last night in the castle, I've never been 100% on that being a basis for Jonathan being any kind of pseudo vampire born of the Count's nibbling. It'd mean he was tethered to Dracula too, and for a longer period than Mina. But Dracula is shitting bricks enough to run from Jonathan rather than fight him with the kukri in hand. So he clearly suspects something is up with this young man that's worth worrying about. Even when Jonathan had scuttled down the side of the house and was giving chase entirely solo ahead of the others, Dracula never turned to fight him.
Sounds like the kind of thing a walking corpse would do if he knew a ghoul was chasing him with his giant cutlery out.
...But, in hindsight, I can also see a different kind of Semi-Vampire!Jonathan in action here. One that's even more worrisome than Dracula's implied brand of vampire, the Romanian strigoi. Say, the same kind of pallid, washed-out vampires we see in, "The Family of the Vourdalak," by Alexei Tolstoy.
A story which involves vampires who are immune to traditional vampire destruction methods like being staked through the heart, et cetera, and focus obsessively on 'collecting' their loved ones and mercilessly slaughtering anyone else.
As an aside, the eponymous vourdalak vampire (note, more appropriately spelled 'wurdulac', being based on the Russian vampire, but we'll use vourdalak for the gothic lit spelling), Gorcha, is introduced carrying the severed head of a man he was hunting in the mountains.
As another aside, it's implied at the climax that this breed of vampire is bound to their homes/physical location they were turned, meaning the whole village of these washed out, corpse-eyed undead are only a threat to those who enter their territory. Or those who threaten to take away their loved ones.
As another other aside, in, "Dracula's Guest," Stoker's unused prologue to the novel, we see Jonathan come across an undead village in Munich. One that pours out a hoard of vampires from their graves in a wild tide. He blacks out during this; then he wakes to Dracula the Wolf laying on top of him just outside the village's boundary. The story mentions the Wolf licking his throat and the soldiers who find Jonathan notice a mark on his neck.
Now, this could be Dracula taking a first sip long before Mr. Harker gets to the castle; a token for his troubles in keeping the solicitor safe. And maybe that's all it was.
Or else those vampires were not strigoi at all, but something a touch more territorial. Sturdier. Obsessive. Corpse-colored. Driven by love and loathing at their greatest extremes.
The vourdalaks of the short story are shown to need full death for their turning. Jonathan, if he was purely hypothetically bitten by such a vampire before his rescue, would not be at risk of full conversion until the day he died. Certainly not enough to make him an anchored undead bloodsucker. ...But perhaps enough to start suffering some noticeable changes once certain Dracula-shaped stimuli began setting things off.
Which presents the lovely idea of Dracula not just running from a group of vampire hunters, but a group including one very pissed off even worse vampire-in-the-making whose whole deal is 1) Being nigh indestructible and riddled with super strength, 2) Wholly unstoppable when it comes to killing anyone who isn't a loved one; especially someone who just did a great big no-no by biting his wife, and 3) Isn't undead enough to be hampered by the territory rule.
Whether Jonathan's a Semi-Ghoul or a Guaranteed-to-Fuck-You-Up brand of Semi-Vampire, Dracula screwed up regardless, because either way he's now got Gothic Horror Jason Voorhees coming after his head.
