Some quick tips to spotting accounts that are pretending to be a Palestinian needing mutual aid. Please keep in mind that not all of them are scam accounts, and that some may legitimate blogs who just aren’t too knowledgeable on how tumblr works. This guide is based around what I go by when checking certain blogs and usually it’s a quick giveaway the blog is a scam.

Please read this post too from my other blog before you tell people don’t donate to gfms:

1. You was sent the ask as someone who regularly shares Palestine related content such as regular news updates of posts by other Palestinians who are regularly giving updates. You may also get these asks from sharing a popular post that is from the Palestine tag. If you post often about Palestine, you will always start getting these asks. These askers don’t care if you state don’t send the asks. They will anyway. Unfortunately minors also get sent asks.

2. The ask has odd formatting such as having odd quotation marks in it or unusual formatting that may indicate it’s been edited and copied from somewhere else. Often the ask is the same thing as the post itself minus a link to a donation site. These asks rarely change so searching it should pull up if it’s been sent to other bloggers and sometimes the asks are edited only to add new phrases to them in time.

3. The account is almost always a few days old or a week old or long depending on how often they have sent asks. Usually some may even be an hour old and reusing a familiar pfp/ask.

4. The blog has a few Palestine related posts or posts from random tags reblogged to pad out length and then no more. They will have no original posts besides the pinned post while occasionally answering asks that they may have received but otherwise nothing else and no further updates given either.

5. They may have a Linktree link that is called “GoFundMe” as if indicating they have a GoFundMe there. However, they don’t. When clicked on, the Linktree actually goes to a PayPal account whose name may not even match the one their supposed name is. They’ll say it’s a friend, but it’s just the same person not someone else. You’ll see this same name across multiple accounts after a while usually giving away it’s not legitimate even under a different theme.

6. The text used by the blogs are often real stories stolen from legitimate fundraisers and searching parts of it in your preferred search engine should pull up the sources. These sources make no mention of a tumblr account either or don’t have the PayPal account associated with them in the info. Scammers often impersonate a real person in need and will ignore you if you show them the source they copied from.

7. Legitimate Palestinians often link to their own GoFundMe posts that their friends have set up or post links to other social platforms they are found on. They will regularly post updates when possible, post sources to support them when necessary, and also generally have some method of verifying their legitimacy. They may often share links to support others as well or give links to charities that have been shown as reliable. They will have more original posts than just a single pinned one and regularly speak to other tumblr accounts beyond just an ask. Please don’t bother them with asks about possible scam accounts. There are many guides out there that can do that for you if you search. You may find verified fundraisers too.

8. Scammers don’t know anything about Palestine and will often have trouble once you ask them anything beyond the mutual aid post. They don’t know the languages decently and you can tell it pretty easily if you’re one who uses it regularly. Whatever the scammers use is often just copied off the site they got the post from. Sometimes the text is just reused from past scams such as asking for insulin that doesn’t last long.

9. These scammers can and will use names stolen off real Palestinians to look more legitimate and trustworthy. They change names constantly once one of their PayPal accounts is shut down.

10. If you do see a GoFundMe link on a blog, don’t immediately assume it’s a scam just because it’s a relatively new account. Check the post notes to see if anyone’s verified the account yet or wait a bit as it takes time. You likely can search around to see if anyone’s posted anything where the blog has been vetted by others. You may also see if the GoFundMe is referred to on other socials or on lists that compile verified and vetted fundraisers.

Please don’t let these scams deter you from sending support where it needs to go. Even if you can’t donate personally, there are other ways to help. If you are sending money, please make sure that it’s going to where it’s needed and the place it’s sent has been verified accordingly. If you find a blog is a scammer, and have been able to prove it, please make sure to alert anyone sharing the post and report the account.

(sending myself an ask I got on Retrospring a while back because I was able to get a really interesting answer with help from a friend and I think more people need to be aware of this stuff. the original asker was anonymous and this question was sparked because I was compiling Hong Lu's lines for something and noticed just how many tildes and ellipsis he uses... and that it was making its way into my own typing patterns lmao)

about the hong lu ellipsis/tilde thing: i remember hearing an offhand comment from a kr speaker that hong lu's speech quirk is talking girlishly, and while i am not an expert in korean by any means, i've read that women tend to speak softer and more passively, drag out their last syllables (probably the reason for all the tildes), and end their statements with rhetorical question tags more often, among other things. it's unfortunately generally theorized this is a result of misogyny in korean culture. i wish i could say more but i really don't know korean and i don't how it compares to like, everyone else in the cast

This was interesting to me and i’m lucky enough to know someone who natively speaks korean and plays limbus in kr so i asked him about it! All credit to Ciel @/10seisan for this incoming text wall :)

Here’s what he had to say:

I, too, read that Hong Lu’s tone and speech patterns as being more feminine. Specifically, I would describe his tone as sounding like a mixture of customer service and feminine speech, if that makes sense. His vocal inflexions are more noticeable and they tend to go upwards in pitch, which is associated with feminine speech patterns. I would say that what the asker sent about how women tend to speak here is accurate, and I think that misogyny plays a large role in it as well. As an example, the passive speaking, we have the word 돌려서 말하다, which means “to indirectly speak about a topic” or “beat around the bushes”. This is somewhat expected for people of all genders in formal situations to be polite, but women tend to do it more often and in less formal situations as well due to societal pressure to not seem “aggressive” by coming across “too strong”. Tangents aside, Hong Lu’s tildes in the text corresponds to the voice lines where he drags out syllables, speaks more softly, and/or has a particularly noticeable rise in inflexion at the end of a sentence, so they certainly are indicative of his feminine mannerisms in speech. As for the ellipses, this depends more on the context, since they can be used simply to indicate pauses, but I wouldn’t be surprised if at least some of them coincided with something specific to his speech mannerisms as well. As for how he compares to the other sinners, I would say that, in some ways, his speech sounds similar to Rodya’s, actually—more so than the other sinners. Especially when it comes to the (canonically) male sinners, his speech is not at all similar to any of them. Yi Sang may be the closest if I were required to choose—solely due to his voice being on the softer side—but even then, Yi Sang has very little inflexion and typically ends his sentences with a fall in pitch, unlike Hong Lu

This is all really interesting to me because as an english speaker (and as a person who tends to tune out vocal performance in general, esp if it’s foreign) i can only catch some of it. The delivery on Hong Lu’s lines make sense, especially when taking his background from his source book into account. (whether you want to purely read this as overly formal speech bc of the whole “family is like a cohort of kin looking for a chance to stab you in the back” thing or you want to read gender in it is up to you)

The fact it’s most similar to Rodya’s speech patterns is interesting too… I notice this in the english text as well (i’ve seen people mistake abnormality log text written by Hong Lu for Rodya and vice versa on numerous occasions) Rodya plays up her feminity a lot as a mask so it makes a lot of sense that it’s the closest to Hong Lu’s but still. very interesting. I’m a huge fan of their dynamic in general but that’s a tangent for a different ask, it’ll just be interesting to see if/what can make Hong Lu drop those speaking patterns…

I could yap a bit more on this but i think i’m just gonna leave it be for now because Ciel did a really good job at explaining it all :)

Regardless, I’ve been reading your fics on Ao3 and I absolutely LOVE the banter between gojo and reader 😭 it flows so fucking well I can feel the chemistry radiating from my screen. When I first started reading IHM, I was also an ancient hag like reader (29) so I found myself able to really relate to her. Usually when I envision Y/N, it’s a random person in their place but with this fic specifically idk why I lowkey insert myself? Everything she does, I would probably do the same and it makes me nervous (in a good way) that I’m gonna get attached to gojo and y/n’s relationship 😭

I absolutely love how gojo provides the security Y/N so desperately needs in the span of the fic. She has been suffocating on her own for so long that he just provides some fresh air. Dare I say meant to be?

The domesticity is everything and I like how we’re learning more about him alongside Y/N. So far we’ve seen just how supportive gojo has been and I’m excited to see how y/n comes through for him because my spidey senses (and your amazing writing) shows me that he has some baggage and it might resurface soon.

1. i found the fic on pinterest and im pretty sure the person whos pinterest i found it on wrote it but i did read it on ao3. it was an 8th year darry post war hogwarts. there was ptsd in the tags. there were 13 chapters but the last one (13) was an explanation of why it was on hiatus, it could have changed by now idk, the main plot was that draco was cutting himself but specifically to try get rid of his dark mark (or just sh i cant remember) and harry discovered this and wanted to help. he went to this meeting that the students ran and got tips on how to help. was told that for a couple of people painting their arms helped them and one lended their paint to harry. so harry and draco kept meeting up and harry would do these amazing art paintings on his arm(to cover the dark mark specifically i think) and draco was so relaxed. i think they got into a fight and draco relapsed and then harry discovered this in the basement of hunydukes(?). and afterwards draco talks with pansy and blaise and realises that he likes harry (again i could be mixing up with a different fic but im pretty sure it was this one)

2. postwar drarry fic where draco was previously dating another man before his current relationship with Harry and kind of embraces that memory..? I think he was telling Harry about this other man and I think there was this specific line about how draco and the previous man had similar cracks and were similarly broken so they thought their cracks fit tgt and thought it was love but it rly wasn't..???

3. been looking for this fic for a while, so I guess it was posted 5+ years ago. Probably on AO3, but I’m not sure. It’s AU, Harry is poor and decides to sell his virginity at Sirius’ brothel. Draco, also a virgin, buys it. Here it is what I remember: Both Harry and Draco are virgins. Harry needs money (to go to college? university?) and decides to sell his virginity. Sirius is a sex worker/has a brothel and tries to dissuade Harry, but can't. Draco is about to get married (a marrige Lucius arranged for him). Lucius takes Draco to Sirius' brothel. Draco insists in a inexperienced hooker. Draco and Harry hook up and obviously fall in love. Draco pays for Harry exclusivity. All of above are what I'm sure about (or as sure I can be). However, there are other informations that I think were important in this fic: When Harry talks to Sirius, Sirius thinks in selling his wand because it's something rare (like, only tradicional pure-blood have one). There is something about lycantrophy, Remus takes care of other werewolves and he needs Sirius' wand to make wolfsbane.

4. draco and harry are already in a relationship but draco is so self hatred and he believes he don't deserve harry. Im not sure if he already tried breakup with harry but harry is so in love with draco that he don't accept de breakup so draco to finally leave harry líes to him tellin him that he don't want to be tied in a relationship and he wanna explore being with other people and be more sexually adventorous or something in that context. These are the  scenes that i remember: Draco talking with ginny because he knows she still in love with harry and would have him back no matter how and that this is a chance draco is giving her. After the breakup harry find draco and tell him that they dont have to be boyfriends but that at least draco  let harry be one of the persons that draco have fun with because at least that way he still in draco's life. In the end ginny based on harry's heartbreak make harry come back togheter with her and draco see them in a restaurant and believes he make the righ choice.

5. I'm very positive this story is in ao3. I don't remember much but the story is set after the war where Draco discovers the hidden secrets of his ancestor Malfoy, I remember it has something to do with dragons and daggers or something. Then Harry and Draco went together to uncover the mystery. I remember they went to some kind of desert place? Then a cave where there were a lot of paintings or stuff from Malfoy's ancestors. Then I remember Draco and Harry sort of doing a sex ritual on a stone table I think. Then Draco got pregnant. In the end I remember Scorpius and Harry living in that cave if I'm not mistaken.

6. I think it’s set during eight year, I remember no one wanting to pair up with Draco, and I think it must’ve been in Potions. Harry must’ve volunteered to pair up with him. I remember it being in Draco’s POV, and that he described Harry as looking sleepy between Ron and Hermione. And then somehow, they get transported to like the countryside or the highlands where they have to operate a muggle car to get back to Hogwarts. It’s like an adventure of sorts. I’m sorry it’s vague but it’s what I remember. There’s no fake relationships trope or anything like that. I think it might’ve been before the war or maybe an au? But it’s defo like an adventure fic with them trying to operate a muggle car. Fic is not Right Hand Red by lqtraintracks

7. I read it about 8 years ago and I think it was on a drarryforum.com/forumdrarry.com. Okay, so it's after the war - they're all adults living their lives. Draco is working in a bar/restaurant/bistro/sth like that for a man that he is indebted to. I think he works as a waiter too, but he definitely is available to "rent". He's forced to work as a sex worker for the food place owner till he pays off his debt. I think the owner used/is using him as well. One day Potter comes to the place, the owner is happy and they chat (idk if they know each other, but maybe) and Harry sees Draco (maybe he's waitering for him?). Harry is delighted in Draco feeling humiliated, and somehow the owner tells Harry about their arrangement, offers Draco to him (maybe even for free cause of admiration for Potte) and Harry ends up renting Draco for some time. Harry is very dark, possibly with PTSD, definitely taking pleasure in hurting Draco and degrading him. The first time they are in bed together he humiliates him verbally, I think by making Draco admit to enjoying what Harry's doing to him, and forcing Draco to ask Harry to continue/let him come (something like that). It's non-con (duh lol), very dark and there's a lot of angst. I think they develop some feelings for each other maybe, but doubt it has a happy ending - certainly not fluff. It has several chapters, is in English (I read a Polish translation I think?) and is sexually explicit. It's possible Harry is violent towards Draco overall, but I might have confused it with another fic I'm looking for. Maybe there are some other characters in the background, but mainly It's Draco and Harry. Lucius might be dead and Narcissa is either dead as well or very sick and/or poor and Draco has no one. Harry has some power position probably,  Aurors with Ron, prime minister or something like that, and Draco is bottom and submissive, but that might just be cause Potter has all control. And it's 100% not the fic in which Draco has some sort of debt and is using some potion to not look like himself. And Harry is really cold and damaged. Might be vengeful towards Malfoy, either for the school years, or him being a Death Eater or both.

8. Looking for an ao3 fic. In this one Draco has a really special bond with his wand, and I only remember this scene where he is at the quidditch stand with the professors and he is practicing magic in there, but I don't know what. Also the wand is a lot of the plot, maybe it's bc he can't do magic with another wand and maybe he was a Ravenclaw but I'm not sure either:( but I think he was happy and wasn't bad like the canon. I remember one more thing I think, Draco was with McGonagall on a scene looking at a quidditch game, he was really happy with her and McGonagall likes him as well, I think he had a special bond with the professors bc Lucius and Narcissa was bad parent, maybe even wasn't with him anymore, also he was a ray of sunshine! 9. I think the title included the word "tomb". Anyway Draco and Harry were in some desert and they were traveling with other authority figures (I think Aurors and Harry was head Auror). For some reason they were looking for something and they found an entity which killed two people traveling with them or badly injured them. The entity targeted them because it thought Draco was it's long lost lover. I also remember a scene where Draco didn't want to get on a camel because it was uncouth or something.

At the moment I have got three asks which I am trying to finish as I have been sick and finally have the time to finish them. The first is about Alpha!Reader finding out about Omega!Makarov being pregnant and how excited he is. The second is about Omega!Makarov and his breeding kink with all the insane shit it makes him do. And the third was an ask about Omega!Makarov using his pheromones to keep his Alpha going and I hope the asker is okay with me writing about Omega!Makarov and an Alpha!OC of mine because I read it and immediately thought about something for the two of them especially because I love an overstimulated and submissive Alpha

I am also writing something to celebrate having a 100 followers even if it is a bit late, alongside a very big and long project. It is a post that will have an Omegaverse headcanon for many, many COD characters 

I will be honest when I say you can spam my inbox with anything -especially Omegaverse asks or headcanons because they fuel my day-

I will write about virtually any character in COD but I prefer MW and the operators from the multiplayer as I know about them more. Old or the Reboot, it does not really matter to me. Although, I do have a preference for Makarov (which is quite obvious), König (again very obvious), Price, Nikto, Nikolai, Captain MacMillan, Captain MacTavish, and Andrei which I know is basic but I have a type 

This is because of a certain someone specifically but I will also write for characters who are not in the COD but have been played by an actor in COD. It will be as if that character is in COD and related to different COD characters. You may have seen others do this but examples are Joe Graves from Six, Sergei from Berlin Station, Xavier from NCIS, etc. 

Also, I have some COD OCs (15 to be precise for the moment, but it also can technically be counting as 16 due to one certain thing) that I do not mind writing about especially for Omegaverse as I have too many ideas. But, like for the above, I will only write about them or answer questions if specifically asked 

All I need is for anyone sending in an ask to be very specific as I am quite dense due to being Autistic and I may not get it or misunderstand if it is not directly said what is wanted, I apologise for that. Just send asks in so I know what people want

Hmmmm. I guess I like Ten Dance (a ballroom dancing yaoi manga) for its loving depiction of the ballroom dancing scene and the fun dynamic between the characters. That's pretty niche, let's go with that.

6. Favourite Headcanon?

I'm very fond of the Rei-as-an-orphan-in-foster-care headcanon, even though word of god kind of opposes it. It would just explain a lot of why he is the way he is.

And because picking just one is hard, have another favourite of mine: AkAm, but in particular Akai, don't have many scars. Every injury sustained is one they cannot really afford (makes them weaker, takes time to recover, etc etc.), and so mission planning would be very important. I think they're simply too capable to have many scars at all. (Makes those few they do have that much more important). Rei probably does have a few more than Akai, because he's more exposed to the frontlines and keeps throwing himself into danger, while Akai keeps his distance. Being an archer sniper and all.

9. Fandom you're a part of that's the most well-known?

I would count the number of fics on Ao3 as a metric, but I'm pretty confident I don't need to in order to figure out it's One Piece (by a landslide).

DCMK is also massive, but I don't think it could hold a candle to OP.

14. Fandom you keep returning to?

The fandom cycle is a strange and incomprehensible thing, but usually once something has touched my heart, I'll always return sooner or later. (Unless I age out of a fandom - I'm not a teen anymore, and it is somewhat awkward reading about them, so I don't.)

Best example for this is probably One Piece as well; I've known it since I was about 6-8 years old, and I always come back to it eventually. It's just that good. (Though I mostly return to the series and barely read fanworks, these days.)

The first fandom I can remember reading fanfic of was Yu-Gi-Oh, though odds are One Piece or OHSHC are my actual firsts.

Just saw your post about having to block the doctor strange x reader tag, and I must agree it's become the predominant DS fic that comes up as recommended on my feed as well. There are several authors I enjoy reading in that category (although lately the overall amount of fics is overwhelming), but I only started writing them myself as my stephen x ofc fics could never gain a bit of traction. I have a theory that if I went back and changed my ofc's to reader inserts, I'd probably gain a lot more readers--but I can never bring myself to doing that as I wouldn't be true to myself as an author.

I suppose that's just a writerly woe I'm sharing with someone who might understand.😏 But I'm curious; are you open to reading non-romance fics featuring original characters? I've found that tumblr can be quite snobbish towards that species of fic.

I wanted to reply to this ages ago but it requires my computer and some thinking, so I kept pushing it off again and again and again and whelp, here we are. My bad. ><

I'm the same way where being true to myself as an author is writing what I want, so I get you there. Doesn't get As Much Engagement as other tropes would, but y'know what, I can live with that. If anything, I've actually found that the fic I compromised most on (because it was for a themed exchange) is one I want to reread the least. So if anything, a lot of me writes for "do I want to reread this in the future" and that has helped me since.

It's funny since OFC romances used to be pretty popular way back when, but I guess "reader" took over that audience over the last decade because the majority of the people just wanted to insert themselves into the position instead of reading about a full-fleshed character? Honestly not sure.

Right, I keep delaying the reason I took so long to get back to you - non-romance fics with OCs. The answer, by the way, is yes. Great OCs are fantastic, but you don't tend to see many OCs outside of romance, or you only see them as side characters in another pairing's fic. They don't often have starring or co-starring roles. But I wanted to find examples with great OCs which would take time.

And now I'm taking that time. Here's some good OC-starring fics that I scoured through the tag. They're difficult to find. I had to smudge that requirement after a while. Then I gave up after I got to 2 years back in the tag.

Some of the stories that I know have very good OCs are also IronStrange, but I know that's not your cup of tea so I left it out. But I found a handful.

Keshwyn was the author that came to mind when you originally sent this ask, but I wanted to have more than one author when I wrote this. Read their series, highly recommend, top-tier OCs across the whole spectrum, with the main star being female.

This fic by LexLemon is technically PalmerStrange, but the OCs are her parents, so it's basically a delight in my eyes as Stephen's fish-out-of-water act is always funny to me.

Dragonnan writes good OCs, usually the mean sort though, the ones who hurt Stephen rather than befriend him (male and female lmao), but if you're in a whumpy mood at some point...

This isn't technically an OC, but I don't know the character from the comics, so she's an OC to me! This Stephen's new apprentice is Casey Kinmont fic by Stratagem. They just updated recently too, need to cheer them on at some point.

*sigh* Sorry love, I ran out of good OC fics that didn't have background/primary IronStrange that I could find/remember. But yeah. There's some fic/author recs.

Do your asks get ignored all the time? Then please read this. Hello Anon, The short answer is no, I don't even know who that is. If a Sim that I made bears any likeness to a person named like that, you could have said which of my sims looks like the person you mean. I have no clue who that could be. Are you sure I am the right one you wanted to ask this question? Frankly, sending a message like this comes across as pretty rude. You did not even say hello and the sentence does not even have punctuation, and you did not include any information on the person so I have no way to identify them further or relate this question to one of the sims I made. You might have been pretty frustrated when writing this ask. Maybe you started out writing a polite message to someone but got ignored. Maybe you then decided to just shorten your question down to this to reach as many other simmers as possible? Answering questions takes time and is a favor done to you, the asker, but if you do not even put in minimum effort and common courtesy when asking the question, why should the addressee (me) do a favor for you? There is no incentive to even answer if it is not really clear what you're referring to, why you are asking the question, and why you are asking me specifically. I think I shared one sim in my entire 11+ years on Tumblr and otherwise use pretty much the same dozen of sims. I'm sure many people just ignore a question like this and I was almost going to myself, but sometimes people who write a question like this really do not know why no one answers them, so if you were ignored a lot before by others, I want to let you know what you can do better in the future. In any way, I think you could benefit from this advice to make your life and the life of those receiving your asks easier in the future though, so please read on. When asking about a person, you have to include more identifying information about them. A link to an image of the person will help a lot, and any other specifics about them so that a person who has never heard of them knows who you mean. Incidentally, you may have sent your question to 20 different simmers without even looking at what their blog content is. Please look for blogs that take requests and are WCIF-friendly before writing a message like that and search the tags (like sim request) to find blogs that already made requested sims or answered WCIFs. This will save you and the people receiving your ask a lot of frustration. Instead of writing asks, you could also try a post on your own blog and add the proper tags to your posts so that people can find it. Taking the time to write a proper post on your own blog with a thorough description of the sim and proper tags on the post will most likely help you more than asking a bunch of different simmers at random. In the end, you are spending more time posting your inadequate question to 20 simmers than if you write one post on your blog that is respectful and contains everything others will need to know to understand your request. I hope this is helpful to you, and if you did read until the end, thank you! Did that bitch ACTUALLY draw a picture where there is a threesome involving two people and a steam engine? What the fuck did I just witness?! And that’s publicly available. Lol I don’t drive, and I avoid school zones whenever possible. I hate children and babies sitting near me on public transit. I do run a Thomas confessions blog. I have images of the engines above quotes sent in by askers on tumblr. On a few occasions, some things were a bit too detailed for me, so I blurred the text out, knowing others would be uncomfortable with that. I do have ONE fan edited image from All Engines Go, with disturbing bits censored. It was added to prove the point made by the asker.

I saw that. None of that is as disturbing as fat fetish animal and machine hybrids. Or images of a humanized version of Gordon - as she put it “Gordon in lingerie with his engine face on each titty.”…… or this Haru who has himself portrayed as a macabre character - where he’s either a boy dressed as a rabbit, or a rabbit/boy hybrid. These two users are especially interesting, as they play prominently in this whole situation together. The other libellous users seem to center around them in rather unsettling ways.

Nothing's really changed since I've been gone! I make a conscious effort not to do much Homestuck analysis off-blog, since I want my journey to be fully documented here.

Do people think Act 1 is pointless?

I mean, it is the slowest Act in terms of pacing, but slow pacing isn't always a bad thing. You sort of have to take it slow when your readers have this much to get to grips with.

All four kids, with four endgame weapons, might be able to challenge Jack's current incarnation - but they're not going to get the chance. You've hit the nail on the head - he's semi-perfect Jack for a reason.

I have several theories for Jade's prototyping, and every single one of them would make Jack even more dangerous than before. It's just barely possible to challenge him now, but things will only get worse.

Would Vriska have tried to negotiate? She feels like the type of person who'd rather take a beating than admit they're outclassed. Plus, I'm not sure how much she'd have to offer Aradia, who seemed entirely motivated by revenge (and, possibly, secretly motivated by timeline stuff).

All that said, I would have loved to hear Vriska trying to worm her way out of this.

It's hard to say what's a rarepair, since I don't know what ships are rare in the fandom - although I'd have a few guesses about the most common ones.

If we're going for a ship with very tenuous connections, I will submit Rose x Feferi for your appraisal. They're both fans of the Noble Circle, and their signature colors are pretty close.

You know what, I'll just review all of your ships. Tavros/Gamzee - PB&J - is pretty cute. [] I'd recommend Miracle Child for a number of reasons, but it does include a well-written Gamtav. Jack/Droog is more <> to me than it is <3. Like One Sundered Star might be influencing that? I'm not really sure. Somewhere I think I saw a Jack<>Droog. Your pre-shipping chart post isn't in the chrono; also, I'm pretty sure the A6A6I5 ask is one of mine. Gamzee/Eridan is a rarepair; I've seen it, but not often, and it's a <> in the fic I'm referencing. Kanaya<>Terezi and Feferi<>Vriska are strange enough that I've never seen them anywhere, really. I think waaaaaaaay too deeply about fiction, as anyone who follows me knows. I also think a whole lot about psychology and human behavior. That’s been more for my own survival.

So I thought hey this will be fun. I’ll look at the characters. I’ll find a common thread of emotional impact each of these characters can have on people. I’ll find a common point of emotional connection between them all. Then I’ll free flow.

And on one hand it was fun. I really do like doing it.

But on the other hand I started getting really really anxious every time I answered one. What if I missed the mark and offended the asker? Or worse? What if I hit too close to home and made them feel too vulnerable?

I know it’s just fictional characters and I was clear that it was for fun and I tried to come from a place of affection and positive uplifting thoughts for each person.

BUT STILL I didn’t know how I was making each person feel and that was freaking me out because what if I was making them feel bad?? (I often worry about the way I make people feel on the internet. I can’t see you guys so I don’t know how I’m making you feel so I get neurotic about it.) and not everyone responded to my answer and so ofc I just worried twice as hard when that happened.

So I have actually a lot of those asks left sitting unanswered in my ask box. It was really popular. People sent me asks who didn’t follow me, so even though people didn’t all rb their posts, it somehow broke containment (people were maybe sharing in dms or discord?) and I got a lot of them. But at some point my worry and anxiety about it stopped me finishing answering them. And now it’s six months later and I don’t know what to do with the posts I still haven’t answered. Would it be weirder to answer them or not answer them?

Anyway. Back to your post.

Everything I answer and put out there is with love even when inebriated and overly honest. And I just went back and reread my answer to you and went yep. That’s still what I see as the connective tissue between those characters. I hope on the balance it was a positive experience for you.

Rather than recant his statement, Tony rolls with the punches and declares them married too. Now he just has to let Peter know before the press gets their hands on him.

They hadn’t had time to change before the press conference, so Peter found himself standing in front of Tony as the man tugged at his suit and redid his tie before declaring him presentable.

“Now remember, just keep it simple, and if a question gets directed to you but makes you uncomfortable, just let me handle it,” Tony said, his warm hand on Peter’s back as they quickly walked through the halls.

Pepper was already buying them some time by laying down ground rules under the excuse that Spider-Man had heightened senses. The downside was that they wouldn’t have long to collect themselves before walking on stage.

“Alright, you ready?” Tony asked.

“Honestly?” Peter asked, and Tony nodded seriously. “I feel like I’m about to puke, but it’ll be fine. And if I do puke, I’ll aim away from you.”

“Pep always puts the most annoying journalists toward the wings in the front if you need a target,” Tony teased and Peter smiled.

For as nervous as he was, he was equally sure that everything would be ok because Tony was there.

“Ok, kid, let’s do this,” Tony said, sliding his arm back around Peter and gently guiding him out. “Try to smile, or at least, don’t Morse code SOS with your eyes.”

Peter snorted then tried to contain it to just a smile as cameras started clicking away. Tony was waving so Peter followed his example, pretending that he had Tony’s confidence.

“Thank you all for coming on such short notice,” Tony said as they reached the podium. “Of course, who would want to miss anything I had to say, right?”

Peter huffed and rolled his eyes good naturedly as Tony continued, working the crowd as he always did. He tuned it out, eyes flitting across the crowd as Tony gave their joint statement confirming their marriage. He didn’t give details, leaving those for the reporters to waste their questions on in hopes that it would shield them from any more probing ones.

To Peter’s surprise, it worked. As Tony opened the floor up, the first questions were exclusively how did they meet, when did they marry, and all of those things. A few were directed toward Peter, but they were all easily answered using the story they had come up with.

And then, someone asked Peter about the amendment.

“Mr. Stark- Peter Stark, that is, why wasn’t Spider-Man more involved fighting the SAA amendment?”

Peter glanced at Tony, who just nodded for Peter to go ahead, so Peter took a deep breath and stepped up to the podium properly.

“I’m sorry, I haven’t learned all of your names yet like Tony has,” Peter started, giving an easy smile. “Just Peter is fine, otherwise, we’ll always be getting confused. As to your question though, there were a lot of factors that went into my decision to initially stay out of the fray.”

Peter paused here, his eyes looking over the crowd before returning to the asker.

“I have spent the last 8 or so years as Spider-Man, and in all of that time, only a handful of people have known my identity,” Peter said solemnly. “Even after fighting Thanos side by side with the Avengers, I preferred to stay close to the ground. Spider-man looks out for the little guy, and there was definitely a bit of fear that trying to get involved on the national stage like that would force me into revealing myself. I’m also still a college student, so scheduling speeches in front of committees is a bit hard to manage around lectures.”

That got a laugh as he paused again, his eyes flicking over to Tony as he took a deep breath and continued.

“But honestly? The biggest reason? Tony said he would handle it. And when Tony Stark tells you that he’s got it, and everything’s going to be fine, well, you believe him,” Peter said, unable to keep the warmth from his voice. “I mean, how can you not? He’s saved the literal world, and sure, he accidentally smears grease all over his face when he’s working on big projects and can’t remember not to drink Dum-E’s coffee but he’s always there when it counts.”

“Peter, has being exposed as Spider-Man caused tension in your marriage?” Another report asked. Peter frowned at that one.

“Why would it?” Peter asked, confused. “It was bound to come out at some point and now, I get to tease Tony that he chose literally the most dramatic way to confess his love and announce our marriage in the history of mankind.”

Despite his attempt to lighten the mood, the next question had him frowning again.

“You said earlier that Spider Man was a hero that looked out for the little guy. How do you handle the conflicts of interest that come from being married to Mr. Stark? In other words, how do you reconcile being married to a billionaire, who once had the moniker Merchant of Death, with being “the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man?”

Peter’s hands clenched on the podium, and Tony started to step forward, only for Peter to wave him off. He was shaking, true, but it was from anger, not anything else.

“I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding here,” Peter said, his voice hard as he spoke. “All of you seem to be operating under the opinion that Tony is a less than ideal husband. That his history and behavior are something to be avoided or tolerated, and that he’s not a person capable of change.”

Peter took a deep breath and looked around the room, his face dead serious as he continued.

“I have known Tony for years now and in all of that time, he has done his very best. From saving the Earth many times over to just being there when his friends need him, Tony Stark is a man who gives his time, energy, and resources freely to people and causes, because he wants to help,” Peter said, his voice firm and confident. “He has saved my life more times than I can count and helped me to become the best version of myself. Spider Man would not be here today without Tony’s direct care and protection either, because when I was just starting out, it was Tony, not anyone else, who gave me gear, training, and guidance.”

Peter paused again, feeling out of breath and out of control of his mouth, but he refused to let these people talk poorly of Tony using him as the so called reason. His spider sense was starting to tingle and his senses were sharpening in response to the adrenaline coursing through him.

“You’re probably thinking Tony married a fanboy, a yes man, and you wouldn’t be entirely wrong,” Peter said with a harsh laugh. A few of the reporters nodded tentatively, then seemed to catch themselves as Peter continued. “I’ve looked up to Tony for a long time, first as an inventor and then as a hero. And if he said we’re hopping on an alien spaceship to go fight a big baddy, I’d follow him. I did follow him, though technically he told me not to. The point is, I’d follow him anywhere because I believe in him, and I trust him more than anyone else in this universe. And sure, he’s made mistakes. He’s a human, and we do that. I know I’ve made plenty too but you’re not standing here asking him if marrying someone so beneath his status like Spider Man has influenced his work as Iron Man.”

Tony started to object to that but Peter waved him away again. He knew if he let Tony stop him, he wouldn’t say the part that was most important.

“No, I’m not done, and I know, I know you don’t consider me less but clearly, they have opinions about the balance of things in this relationship,” Peter said, turning back to the reporters. “Let me be blunt. Tony Stark is the best man I know. He makes me a better person and I won’t have you using my love for him as a weapon against either one of us, because everyone deserves to be loved and accepted for who they are. And if all of you are too blind to see beyond his mistakes and his past, then it’s your loss. I love this man, with every molecule of my being.”

Peter’s chest ached and he could hear every heartbeat in the room but as always, he immediately fixed himself on the one that mattered most. It grounded him and allowed him to take another breath.

 “They say we’re made from stars and the romantic in me would tell you that we're from the same star, destined to find each other again and uniquely suited to each other,” Peter said softly, finally turning to look at Tony and hoping the man could read the truth on his face. “The realist says that finding Tony, and having him in my life, was the only lucky thing I’ve had after a lifetime of tragedy. Either way, I intend to treasure him for however long I am fortunate enough to have him for.”

Tony looked dumbstruck for a moment, and then Peter was being ushered off stage, the strong warm hand on his back, and Tony’s heartbeat thrumming through him.

Your father had not played a big part in your life, or any part at all.

He hadn’t been around since you were very young,

Your mother had been crying, and yelling in the other room and your father kept yelling louder screaming about how he was done

You were hiding in your room, the door shut as you listened to the yells of your parents,

This was one of those times where you wished you had thicker walls, walls that would block out the sounds of your parents yelling.

Suddenly, a door slammed closed, and you heard your mother crying, you reassured yourself that your dad would be back soon.

You should have known you were just lying to yourself.

You never really minded since you didn’t really know how it felt to have a father figure in your life, so you didn’t think you were missing much.

That was until recently.

Recently you had started streaming and had been doing quite well so far.

You had even met some really nice people through streaming, one of them being Philza Minecraft himself.

Philza had given you some advice off camera on how to improve more, not that you were bad! He just was giving you some tips on stuff that helped him a lot and that he wished he knew earlier.

Dadz- I mean Philza, had basically taken you under his WING and showed you some more things to help you stream better.

Other than streaming, he was always checking up on you to see if you were okay, after you streamed for a long time, he’d message you reminding you to drink some water and eat so you don’t overwork yourself.

He didn’t know about your absent father, or that he was acting in as the father you didn’t even know you wanted/needed. He was just dadza, and it was instincts to constantly check if you were alright.

One evening you, Techno and Philza were playing on a new world, testing out some of the new updates.

Philza was streaming while you and techno were not, you had streamed a bit earlier that day, so you weren’t going to stream again.

You gasped as an axolotl you were hanging from a lead fell to the ground and died.

“nOoO!! Little Greg!!!” You cried out(jokingly), you flew down and landed on the ground where the axolotl had died and crouched and bowed your head down.

“L-little gre- Why do you keep naming them Greg or Johnny?? At least think of a new name, you nerd.” Techno said back, flying over to you and hitting your character once, although it didn’t hurt you since you were in creative.

“You do need to start thinking of more names for these types of things, mate.” Phil commented, flying above you and techno’s heads with a few axolotls attached to his own lead.

“I-“

“And give them better names than GREG, give them a name like...Technoblade.” Technoblade cut you off to make a self-promotion joke.

You rolled your eyes in real life before fake sniffling

You fake sniffled, before jokingly saying; “oh wow, Little Greg left faster than my dad did.”

Technoblade choked and snorted before laughing a bit.

Phil laughed too, “Oh wooowwww, talking about me like I’m not here, really, mate?” He laughed a bit more at his own joke

It was your turn to laugh this time,

“You left me when I was 3! And refused to pay child support, dAd! I will bad talk you in front of you, as much as I want!” You joked more, your character flying up and flying after Philza.

Technoblade laughed more, following you in game.

Phil fake gasped “WHAT. I PAID MY CHILD SUPPORT, your mother must have taken it for her own needs again” He exclaimed, causing you to burst into a fit of laughter again.

After a while of joking around about Philza being your father and Techno being the one child Phil “took with him in the divorce”, Phil had ended the stream and you and Phil were just calmly chatting in a VC.

Techno had gone to bed by now, it was pretty late for him, and during the stream, he kept complaining about you and Phil keeping him up.

You two were just talking about each other’s days until Phil brought up a question you didn’t expect.

“Hey, (y/n)?”

“Yeah?“

“I may be overthinking this, and I’m sorry if I did overthink it, mate. But during the stream you joked about your father having left, and you’ve never talked about him before, so, uh, do you actually not have a dad in your life right now.?” He asked, and it caught you SO off guard

You paused, not speaking for a moment, causing Phil to panic a bit.

“Did I overstep? I’m sorry, you don’t have to tell me, I’m just worried and-“

“No, I don’t have a dad, but I’m fine without one, I’ve been doing perfectly alright without him and it okay, you didn’t overstep don’t worry!” You answered and reassured the man, fidgeting with your fingers as you waited for his response.

“You- So he actually just straight up left? Are you serious? That’s an absolutely sh*tty move, dude.”

“You shouldn’t have had to deal with that and be fine with not having another parent in your life.” Philza continued on, sounding disgusted and angry, you knew it wasn’t at you though.

“It’s fine, Phil. I’ve managed quite well without him.” You replied, looking down at your lap,

“I’m glad you’ve managed without him, but you shouldn’t have had to, (y/n).” He sighed,

“I’m here for you, mate, even if you just need to talk, it’d help me sleep better at night knowing I was able to stand in and help you when HE wouldn’t.” Phil ended his small rant, waiting for your respond, but all he got was a small sniffle, and a real one this time

“Thanks, Phil.....” you whispered, your mic just barely catching it

“Oh (y/n).. Of course.. It’s the least I can do” he replied, smiling to himself.

“Wow.. you really are dadza, huh..” you laughed a bit, wiping away some stray tears.

Phil laughed before responding;

“Oh absolutely, and now, I have another child.”
