The Doms Next Door 2.0

Your tires came to a stop outside of the tattoo shop you've seen online— a brick building, covered in spray paint and street-style art. A sign buzzed over the awning of the entrance doors, with the built-in UV lights and graffiti-styled font displaying the name of the place in neon-red letters. Kink For Ink! The name alone was what first caught your attention last week, when you Googled "Tattoo shops near me" and it pulled up a list, with "Kink For Ink" being the first option. It just seemed so uncanny and fitting at the time, considering the previous run-in you just had with the sex-crazed neighbors a couple nights before. You couldn't help but to click the link to their Instagram.

A profile came up with 53.4k followers, which immediately blew your mind... but you quickly saw why. Every tattoo and piercing, no matter the body-placement, skin-type, or quirky design, was vividly appealing— certainly done by the articulate hands of certified experts. Even in the comments of the piercings that were posted, people were praising them for the "minimal" amount of pain they experienced, despite the fact that some of piercings were done in places you couldn't even fathom the thought of having a needle jammed through.

It said in the bio that the shop is owned by the two artists that work there— Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. You couldn't find out much about them, all their pictures showed was their work. You even went back to search for a personal account of their own, but nothing came up. You then went back to the bio and clicked a link to the official website, hoping to find out something, but you were met with a disclaimer rule at the top that automatically deemed your chances of even getting your piece done by them, slim-to-none.

• Every request/idea must be sent in through the DMs of our Instagram page. You will only be accepted only if it spikes our personal interests.

Yikes; You were instantly discouraged by this. The piece you wanted was something so common and cliché, that you actually got the image out of a child's coloring book.... It was the cartoon layout of the glass vase and enchanted rose, from the Beauty and the Beast movie. Cheesy, yes. But it was something of personal, nostalgic value. You remember when you were little— roughly around 3 or 4 years of age— when your parents started fighting and would spend all day screaming and throwing things at each other, putting you in a constant state of anxiety. But then you'd go to bed at night and pop the VHS tape, and the movie never failed to put you in a peaceful state of mind— a hopeful one. It's remained as your all-time favorite love story throughout the years. Which, is ironic, considering that the relationship itself was different, but almost as dysfunctional as your parent's. However, the fact that even the Beast was capable of change, and everything wound up so perfect and happy in the end, makes your heart happy. And even now, at age 19, it still puts you in your feelings. The previous remake of a movie is what actually inspired you to get the enchanted rose as a tattoo, after seeing it in 3D not too long ago. But you're only willing to shell out up to $200 for it, at most. You've just started college, and even though Jimin's parents own the house and let the two of you live there, rent free, you're still responsible for half the utility bills from month to month. Blowing every bit of money you have saved up, right at the start of the semester, would just be irresponsible. But $200 was manageable, and you're looking for anything that'll give you a little extra "oomph" to break you out of this introverted shell you've always known. Pushing it off would just delay it, and you were ready for change. The nose piercing you want is just a small little thing that'll hopefully add a bit of flare to the features of your face. These two guys could probably do the piercing/tattoo with a blindfold on and a hand tied behind their back. So, if it meant that you'd be able to get these things done in confidence, without having to worry about the outcome, you figured it wouldn't hurt for you to at least ask, even if they straight-up ignore you. So, after spending an unnecessary amount of time overthinking the wording of your text, you finally constructed a message in your notes and DM'd it to business page, after sending them a small, simple outline of the cartoony rose, and pressed send.

• You: Hello! I've been wanting to get this tattoo done for a very while now, and was hoping one of you will be willing to do it for me... along with piercing my nose? I know it's a very mediocre and cliché piece, and a nose piercing can be done anywhere. But I'm new to the area and I've never gotten a tattoo/piercing done before and I haven't really checked out any other places either because I found this page first. And from what I can see, you guys are pretty efficient and CRAZY talented. So, I trust it'll get done right.... only if you want to! I'm willing to pay $200 for this, but if it costs that much for just the outline I've sent then that's fine as well. But I understand if neither of you want to do it cuz that is really cheap compared to the ones I've seen lol. But either way, thx for ur time 😁

A few minutes went by and you had just unlocked your phone to check the message again, when the word "seen" popped below the message. You held your breath for a second— but seconds turned to minutes, and time went by with no reply, what-so-ever. You figured maybe you sounded a little too immature to take seriously; kind of like a prepubescent 12-year-old asking someone out for a dance... and you blew it. Which was disappointing, but predictable. So fuck it. Maybe it's a sign; you shouldn't get it after all.

11pm rolled around, many hours later. You were now hiding beneath your covers, beginning your "amateur threesome" exploration on PornHub. You were ready to see what this whole "2 guys, 1 girl" thing was all about. But just when you were about to type it into the search bar, you were interrupted by an Instagram notification dropping down from the top of your screen.

"KinkForInk sent you a message."

You audibly gasped, eyes turning to saucers as you clicked on the notif and switched over to the Instagram app.

• KinkForInk: Hi (Y/N). This is Tae, one of the artists of the shop. The tattoo you sent in is worth roughly $100... but I want to run an offer by you in hopes that you'll be interested.

— Your brows scrunched in oddity, stomach fluttering. An offer? For you?

• You: Okay, sure. What's that?

• KinkForInk: I've been looking for someone willing to showcase the custom design I've come up with, specifically for a much more... exclusive version of the Beauty and the Beast tattoo you sent. And if you'd be down for letting me and my partner put it on you, it'll be free. No charge. BUT you'll also have to sign a contract saying that you'll do a little bit of modeling for us once it's done. You think you'd be in to doing something like that, even if you get it?

— Your head spun for a second, reading the message over and over again until you could fully wrap your mind around what he was saying.

• You: Hold on... YOU wanna put a tattoo on ME so that I model for you? And it's FREE? Are you sure about this? I'm not even model material lol.

• KinkForInk: Yes, yes, and yes, you are. You'd be perfect for this.

• You: How do know that? Is it a face tattoo? Cuz I only have 6 selfies on here and you can't see anything past my shoulders.

—"Seen" came up as soon as you hit send, but a couple of minutes rolled by with no reply to the message, nor was he even typing. Maybe you came off a little rude. But it was already sketchy and it was a logical question.

— An image suddenly popped up: a screenshot of your Facebook profile. Then another— and much to your horror, it was the photo Jimin tagged you in last week, when the two of you were swimming at a local community pool. You were wearing a simple two piece, sitting at the foot of the lawn chair Jimin was also sitting in, as his legs were visible on either side of you and his lap was practically framing your ass. The photo was at an upward angle and looked so scandalous— but really, you had just asked Jimin to put sun screen on your back and he didn't want to stand up because the pavement was too hot against his bare feet. But you actually liked the picture at the time; it was just a silly joke and your ass actually looked quite nice from that angle. Plus, everyone knows nothing sexual actually goes on between the two of you, for obvious reasons. But Taehyung doesn't, so you couldn't help but dreadfully cringe when you saw the caption of the screen shot.

• KinkForInk: Is this you??

• You: Yes, that's me. The caption is a joke tho... pay no mind to that. But this is like, really happening? You really think it'd look good on me?

— Why that picture though? You couldn't help but wonder.

• KinkForInk: Yes. Like I said, you're perfect for this piece. Are you down to at least see what the tattoo will look like? We don't expect you to be experienced with modeling or anything, but if you listen to us and cooperate, you'll do just fine.

• You: Yes I wanna see, and I'll do the best I can if I decide to get it... I'm just a bit shy, is all.

• KinkForInk: You'll be in good hands. I promise.

• You: Okay... are you going to show me??

• KinkForInk: Can't send it over a message, I don't want it plagiarized or the concept stolen. But the piece itself isn't necessarily crazy or anything, just more creative. I'd be more than happy to show you at my shop some day this week, if you'd be willing to swing by.

• You: Yeah, I can do that. When should I come?

• KinkForInk: Are you available after 5 tomorrow?

• You: I am, I get off at 4:30.

• KinkForInk: Great. Be here by 5:30, and make sure you've eaten in case you like the piece and wanna get started. It's pretty big for a first timer and gonna take a lot of time and patience. It'll have to be done in sessions but I hope you have a fair enough pain tolerance to at least get the outline of it done first.

— It can't be any worse than a bikini wax, you thought, shivering at the memory. That a story for another time. You decided on an alternative scenario.

• You: I give blood from time to time... but that's easy and doesn't really hurt that much. I think I can handle it though... maybe. I honestly don't know lol, I'm sorry 😣. But I can try my best. Can I ask where it's supposed to go?

• KinkForInk: That's okay, I'll work with you. It's supposed to go down the middle of your back. Starts between the center of your shoulder blades, and trails down the length of your spine to your lower lumbar. You'll see how it looks once we transfer a template on your back. But if you don't like it, there will be no hard feelings from my end. I can still do the tattoo you want if that's the case, free of charge just for your time.

• You: Oh no, you don't have to do that! I'd still pay!

• KinkForInk: Not if I don't accept your money. Trust me, I'm not worried about it. The nose piercing is gonna be $30 regardless, though. JK isn't so lenient.

• You: Of course. Will I have to take my shirt and bra off for the tattoo?

• KinkForInk: Yes, and for the pictures once it's done.

— Your mind blanked at that; thumbs froze over the keypad. He was typing again.

• KinkForInk: Don't let that discourage you. Again, you're in good hands. You can bring something to cover your chest. And the pics will be if your back as well.

• You: Okay, I can handle that. So 5:30 tomorrow?

• KinkForInk: Yes, please don't flake on us!

• You: Lol, I won't. I'll be there.

"They're gonna knock us the fuck out and sell our organs to the black market," Jimin declared. He had parked next to you outside of the shop, and was now sitting in the driver seat of his car with his door locked and windows all the way up, refusing to get out. You were standing right outside his door, still having to talk on the phone. "And is this Tae-guy an AllState representative or something?"

Jimin is petty. You wanted him here for moral support— which he's usually reliable for— but this time, he's just plain salty right and doing everything he can to remind you of that. Reason is, he's been begging you to get a matching tattoo with him ever since your 18th birthday, and you've always refused because of what he wanted to get.

Cupcakes. Jimin wanted to get matching cupcake tattoos... in honor of Cupcakke the legend. Sorry, but H E L L no.

You rolled your eyes, growing frustrated. He only has enough time to pop in and confirm that these two aren't gonna kill you, and then he's gotta head home to get ready for work. You were already supposed to be in there. It was 5:33pm, 3 minutes past the time.

"Jimin, you're the one that insisted on coming along! And now you're making me late!" you ranted. "I'm going in without you."

"Hold your horses, hoe! I'm finishing my blueberry slushie," He retorted, sassily bringing the straw to his mouth and loudly slurping it into the phone. He then abruptly flinched away from the straw with a disgusted expression, nostrils flared, body locking up; lips drawing into an air-tight knot that was so extreme and unnatural, it caused an ugly snort to break out of your nose.

He smacked his lips in exaggeration to the taste, face falling back into stone as an eyebrow arched over the top of his aviators; unamused and saltier than before... Like you were at fault for that, too.

"Or... Blueberry-ass, I should say."

That forced another giggle out of you as Jimin stiffly rolled his window down, phone still pressed to his ear and eyes still scowling at you behind the inspector shades. He bit down on the straw and withdrew it with his teeth before dumping the dark-blue contents of the drink out of the window, making it a point to shake the styrofoam cup empty of every drop before tossing it over his shoulder and into back seat. He then spat the straw out of his mouth with an audible "PLUUUUH!" of a French accent, and waited until the window rolled all the way up again, just so he could hang up the phone. You scoffed at this as you shoved your phone back into your pocket, scornfully watching Jimin exit the car and slam the door behind him. He snatched his glasses off his face as his cotton-candy hair swayed in the breeze, revealing his scornful eyes right back at you as he gestured for you to lead the way in exasperated manner— as if you were the one wasting his time now.

"Go on, lead us to the grave," He shooed, a snippy little shit. You sauntered away, walking up the side of the shop, then paused just before reaching the glass entrance door, when you remembered how much of a coward you are. You've never even stepped into a parlor before, and supposedly, this was a famous one. Which makes it more and more surreal when you think about it.

"Are we doing the mannequin challenge now? Is that what we're doing?" Jimin sardonically inquired.

"You go first, I'm nervous!" You whisper-hissed.

"You don't want me to go in there first— I'll show out," he reasoned, simply stating a fact.

"Please don't," you whined.

"Then, again, I'll show out?" He reiterated, as if to say duh. "How else am I supposed to break the ice? I look like Timmy Turner's Fairy-Gay- Parent."

You gave him a wary look... he's right. You sighed, slightly kicking your foot in distracted defeat. Fuck, you hated making an entrance to new places—

"Hold up— is that Drake?" Jimin suddenly blurted, holding his hand up to silence you. You honed in on the muffled track playing from behind the glass door, and Jimin's face soon light up like a Christmas tree before he spun around you, unstoppable.

"Jimin, NO—!"

"KIKI, DO YOU LOVE ME—?!"

It was already too late. The door was flying back behind him as he Milly-Rocked his way into the shop, leaving you no choice but the chase in behind him.

"—ARE YOU RIDING? SAY YOU'LL NEVA-EVA LEAVE FROM BESIDE ME— hello there."

You were panting, coming to a stop right behind Jimin, where you instantly latched on to the back of his shirt as you met the face of the man behind the studio counter. And, as corny as this is gonna sound: the world actually stilled for a solid beat... or maybe you were in the verge of cardiac arrest.

A pair of glossy-Black eyes looked up at the two of you; A series of silver-studded earrings trailed along the outer cartilages, peaking out beneath a head of soft, layer-swept hair. It was a Carmel-tinted blonde in color— thick and shaggy, and neatly spilling in waves around a headband that proudly sported a high-dollar brand-name you've never seen anyone wear in person before. G U C C I, it read— Meaning that the headband alone was probably worth more than some of your college text books, put together. It sat just a few inches above a pair of dark brows, that oddly brought out the shape of his cat-like eyes— irises like polished marbles. His ample lips had a sharp, well-defined Cupid's-bow, and a natural shade of pink that fit the porcelain appearance of his melanin-kissed complexion, to the finest degree.

And here you are, looking like an actual bum. You had just enough time to clock out of work and head straight over here to make it in time. You didn't even have any makeup on, and the only thing hiding your raggedy hair from those captivating eyes is your old baseball cap from high school. It took a second for him to take the bold presence that was Park Jimin— who was also frozen to the spot as he openly checked the guy out. He was hunched over the counter, a v-neck hoodie covering the rest of him with a thin, loose-fitting material. It was Black and allowed a full visual of his tan neck, and prominent collar bones. And it certainly didn't hide the fact that he had a pair of wide-set shoulders, either. A pencil sat in his hand— one that was laced with masculine veins, and lot of decorative ink. There was a silver ring on his thumb.. and a very heavy-looking Rolex watch.

The man cracked a grin at Jimin— a boxy one that dimpled in at the corners.

"Love the hair," he humorously began, twisting a quirky eyebrow at Jimin. You subconsciously snagged the bill of your hat as your eyes went a little wide at how mature the man's voice was.

"Love the watch," Jimin retorted, then reached around and gripped you by the wrist before pulling you into full view beside him. "You wouldn't happen to be Taehyung...?"

"Mhm," the man hummed, absentmindedly moving his wrist at the mention of his watch. His eyes cut over to you, and you swore you could see a minuscule reflection of yourself in his eyes, before they flashed back at Jimin and blinked. "You must be the babydaddy?"

Blood rushes to your ears. It's really him... a guy who looks like a high-dollar model himself, asking you to be his canvas model. Your own conscious didn't even know what to say right now. So you stayed quiet and still as Jimin took charge... which was a mistake.

"She wishes, but no. I'm the best-friend— and a gay one, at that," Jimin replied, and you knew he did that for his benefit. Thot. "I'm just here to make sure you're not gonna sacrifice her to Satan, or anything of that nature. I need her around in case I ever forget the Netflix password."

Taehyung chuckled at that, mouth opening to reveal a row of teeth shinier than Chip Skylark's. But then, you caught something behind his teeth that caused your gut to leap. A silver ball... a tongue ring. Your thoughts clouded over for a second.

"Well, I can assure you, she's safe with me," he said, looking over at you again. You blinked, nothing more. His brow arched at your lack of response, but this time, it was done more handsomely as he was still smirking at you. "Still, you don't look too thrilled to be here... You sure you wanna do this?"

"She's just nervous because you're really fucking hot," Jimin announced, unyielding. "You should feel how sweaty her hand is."

"Don't listen to him— I'm gay too," You lied in panic, trying to defend yourself from the absolute truth Jimin spoke just then. You snatched your hand away from him and jutted a finger at the door, eyes beading and lid twitching as your nerves ran amuck. "Goodbye, Jimin."

"She's a lonesome hetero," Jimin told Taehyung, assuring him with a face that showed no bluff. "One look at her camera roll, and you'd see for yourself—" You were yanking him away by the arm now, in a tug-of-war game that Jimin obviously could've won if he really wanted to. But he figured you suffered enough and eventually let you drag him out of the shop, waving bye to Taehyung before turning to look at you with beading eyes.

"I think he wants to fuck you— text me as soon as you can," Jimin uttered with unmoving lips as before he walked to his car. You stopped for a second, noticing he was actually being serious. How could he possibly think that he wants to fuck you, just from that small encounter? And what is the odd sensation currently coiling in your stomach? Things grew awkward again when you re-entered the shop, coming to a stand at the same spot... only alone now. He was still amused, it seemed. And so calm and cool despite this odd, intense look in his eyes. It gave him a Casanova effect, where all he had to do was give you that look and it'd instantly make you blush.

"He seems like a fun person to be around," he noted, somewhat honestly, but more so making fun of the red-hot appearance of your face.

"He's a pain in the ass," you muttered, trying to conjure up a smirk but hardly even able to speak properly from how dry your mouth was. It felt like there was a white-hot iron expanding in your throat. "I'm really sorry about him."

"Don't be. I'm just glad you're here— thought you'd chicken out." You nervously wiped your clammy palms over the back pockets of your jeans as Taehyung got up from the barstool behind the counter and approached you on the other side of it, a whole head-and-a-half taller than you. He was wearing black cardigan jeans and matching combat boots.. his headband and jewelry the only thing not black on him. And oddly enough, he made it look fucking fantastic.

"Mh-mm," You hummed, not trusting your voice. You've never needed a sip of water so bad in your life— he even smelled expensive.

"Well, It's very nice to meet you," he formerly began, and you mustered up the normality of placing your (dried) hand into his much larger one, as he held his out to you in greeting. And boy, was he close. So close that the heels of your spine itches to lean back from the proximity.

"It's nice to meet you, too. I'm really sorry if I'm acting weird. I'm just nervous." — Your mind struggled to stay focused on your words, arm tensing at the skin-to-skin contact. You were extra-effected by the firmness in his grip. You really wanted to look down at all the bold ink you saw dashing across the veiny surface of his tanned hand, or see if those were images or scripted letters on the knuckles of lengthy fingers... But you were held captive by those God-blessed eyes... And that fucking tongue ring. It was infecting your head in ways that weren't necessarily healthy for your current state of mind, as you saw it peering in and out at certain words.

"And physically shaking," Taehyung pointed out, brows twitching down at your trembling hand in his as if he was concerned for it. But his smirk gave off an odd sense of fascination to the involuntary symptom, like it was cute or something? Hm. He glanced back up at you, causing your dehydrated throat to bob as his other hand came to clasp over the rest of yours, swallowing it completely from the wrist down. "Intimidated?"

"V-Very," you spluttered, a small slither of saliva copulating down your throat as you looked back up at him. He absentmindedly rolled his tongue ring over the button row of his teeth as he watched you with tainted eyes— undoubtably getting cocky with that damn grin of his and proudly teasing you about your reaction to him. It gratified the effortless sex-appeal he had. You were even beginning to imagine that tongue ring elsewhere, and you literally just met him. Then, as you felt the band of a ring move along with the pad of his thumb as gently ran it across your trembly knuckles, chills shot up all the way to your shoulder. Oh... oh wow. You glanced down at his knuckles on reflex this time, and saw a four-letter word scripted in black ink across the bottom row of his knuckles, and another word scripted on the middle section of his fingers. A silver band on his naked thumb. STAY TRUE, it said.

"And why's that?"

"I.. feel like you're a celebrity," you sheepishly admitted, your other hand wedging into your back pocket as you had to stop yourself from reaching for the bill of your hat again. Is he flirting? The words seem too innocent for the way he was making you feel. It was getting so hot in the oven of his massive palms, and he wasn't even squeezing you hard enough to cut off any circulation, but yet your fingers were beginning to tingle.

"Mm, no. Just a little popular, really," he granted, teetering his head a little as he pondered the thought. You could see his vocal chords contract in his sleek neck as they project his smooth, pungent voice. "You still trust me?"

"Mhm," was all you could muster. He'd gotten even closer, to where his hand had gone into a prayer stance around yours. You were aware of how wide your eyes had gone from the awe you... you knew this was just the beginning. He was going to be very handsy throughout this whole process. But in a very twisted way, you were more than okay with that. Even if it meant you were at risk of fainting from actual dehydration. Maybe you were in over your head. But you couldn't will yourself away from this now. And then, just as a wide, heart-stopping smile edged out on that mind-numbingly handsome face, the door at that back of the room swung open, and heavy-metal rock blasted through the quiet vibe of the scenery and caused you to jump a little at the disturbance. Taehyung shot a wicked smile over his shoulder, and his next words nearly knocked you out right then and there as you beheld yet another, breathtaking sight.

"Oh, there you are," Tae eagerly acknowledged, one hand still holding yours as he walked around to grab your with the other, presenting you to the.. hulking presence in the room. "This is (Y/N), our next little experiment."

Why tumblr user donottearmedown/luciequeenofelfame/luciehvrondaie is an embarrassment: a Masterpost

Hi if you’re here it’s because you’ve heard that tumblr user donottearmedown is an embarrassment and you’d like to know all the details! Let me break it down. It all started with this post by @minacarstairs (Tessa (yes @minacarstairs’s name is Tessa sorry if that makes this post confusing)), in which donottearmedown originally reached out to Tessa by sending her something along the lines of “Do you ship heronstairs/herongraystairs?” And Tessa replied with something along the lines of “Yeah lmao herongraystairs rights!”

(I wanna note that Tessa was being very polite, and continues to be very polite to people who disagree with her opinions on heronstairs/herongraystairs. She even began her original conversation with dont tear me down by saying it’s a matter of personal interpretation :) it’s donottearmedown who made the conversation mean-spirited)

(Also Tessa pls correct next if I’m wrong on any of this thnx)

And then sometime later, the conversation above ensues in which donottearmedown, seemingly perfectly reasonable at first, disagrees with the ship and offers a link to look at. (She throws this link around any chance she gets. She really fucking loves this link.) I got involved because in her answer, Tessa replies back with a link from a post I made from my own blog starting back in 2018, and then continued to add to it until my account got terminated (long story). You can read through both posts and check out all the replies! But basically we realized during this interaction that donottearmedown wasn’t looking to have a friendly conversation and was, in fact, batshit crazy. They were saying some absolute brain dead shit like that people shipping heronstairs is the same as people shipping Alec x Clary. Here’s the screenshot:

donottearmedown came back the next day to reply on several of Tessa and mine’s post which she wasn’t even tagged in, such as this one, and this one that had absolutely nothing to do with her because I make that same post every year. Here’s a screenshot from my old account last year via Instagram:

So, Tessa received this anon which tipped us off to some of the other tomfoolery on donottearmedown’s blog. We decided to look for ourselves and lo and behold, here’s the post of donottearmedown accusing Cassandra Clare of having a “Chinese kink” for writing Jessa:

Which, first of all, makes no sense because there’s like 2 Chinese characters in TSC total. If anything CC has a straight white boy kink lmao. But by saying this she was basically implying that the ONLY way Tessa (book!Tessa), or anybody who loves Jem, can love him is if they have a “Chinese kink”. Which donottearmedown can’t seem to be able to understand is an incredibly racist thing to say and think.

donottearmedown started replying to posts from mine and Tessa’s blogs which she wasn’t tagged in, again, and made several days ago. This one literally wasn’t even about her, it was about someone else that had engaged with one of Tessa’s posts. I made that post over a week ago and had already forgotten about it, but clearly donottearmedown never stops thinking about us 😳

NOW I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THIS POST SPECIFICALLY.

Why? Because donottearmedown and luciequeenofelfame (now luciehervndaie) interacted on this post, as 2 seperate entities. luciequeenofelfame had also interacted with Tessa and I’s original posts at the beginning of June (you can check the replies on the posts!) coming to donottearmedown’s defense, and praising her for her opinions and other shit like that.

Here’s the screenshot. As you can see here, luciehervndaie reblogs from donottearmedown and adds on to their opinion:

Now here’s the kicker: donottearmedown and luciehervndaie are the same person.

As in, this bitch literally made up a second blog so that she can pretend to be someone else agreeing with her own opinions and cheering herself on.

I made this post calling out donottearmedown on their racism. I didn’t bother tagging her in the original post because I knew she was stalking my blog and would see it eventually anyway. 😌 And they took the bait, as you can see.

AND THEN I got the notification that luciequeenofelfame had replied to my post. Here’s the reply:

(context: @wilhelminacarstairs looked on donottearmedown’s blog recently looking for the post I screenshotted in the link above, and he couldn’t find it so I assumed she deleted it so that I wouldn’t call her out on it. Although she claims she didn’t delete it, so! Maybe it’s still up! Feel free to look for it and let me know lmao)

Now, in the tags I am obviously talking to donottearmedown, correct? So then why is luciequeenofelfame replying that she didn’t delete anything? 🤔 AND JUST AS IM ABOUT TO REPLY-

Wow, looks like I can’t reblog the post. Why? Because luciequeenofelfame has deleted it, and then IMMEDITALY changed her url to luciehvrondaie, hoping it would cover her tracks. Little does she know, tumblr notifications are forever:

She defends herself on some of them saying shit like “wow so I’m just making up blogs for support wessa? The majority of the fandom supports Wessa so I’m all of those blogs according to you? I’m thousands of people?!” Or just trying to change the topic back to heronstairs and ignoring the allegations altogether. Like, no luv we’re not saying you’re every single Wessa blog ever. We’re just saying you’re these 2, and we’re right lmao. If you look through both their blogs they also post about the same fandoms, and more damning, make a lot of the same spelling errors. Seriously their speech pattern is exactly the same. Feel free to look through them if you want, and if they don’t start mass-deleting post trying to cover their tracks.

so you wanna start a writeblr...

i’m no pro, but here are some tips i have for anyone who’s interested in posting written content on tumblr! this is primarily relevant to kpop fanfic blogs, but some of the more general tips could certainly apply to other writers.

Pick Your URL

if you don’t have an account yet, making one is the first step! think hard about what you want your url to be. as you can see, mine includes the word ‘fics’ to make it clear that this is a fanfic blog, but that’s not a very common tactic. if you’re writing about a particular fandom, i’d recommend tailoring your url to that fandom. and i also recommend sticking with your url once you’ve picked it - i personally always forget who people are when they change their urls. it’s confusing for your followers so unless you have a really good reason to change it, just don’t.

Find a Theme

honestly, this is one thing i still struggle with lol. i think a lot of people probably access tumblr on their phones instead of computers, in which case this step isn’t really that important, but it’s always good to have a desktop layout that looks nice! you can poke around through the free themes that tumblr offers, or search for your own. personally, i just check out the blogs of people i follow from time to time. if they have a theme that i like, there’s usually a link somewhere on the page back to the theme creator’s blog, and then i’ll scroll through that blog looking for something that might work for me. probably the most important thing is to make sure your theme is text post friendly. you want your text posts to take up a lot of space on your screen so that they’re more easily readable - that means any theme that has more than one column is a no-go.

Build Your Bio

your bio should share some very basic info about you, such as your name (or a penname/persona), pronouns (if you’re comfortable sharing that info), and a link to your masterlist. if you don’t know how to add links in your bio, check out these steps. you might also want to include a “most recent” link so that your followers can easily locate the most recent thing you’ve written. and of course, feel free to include anything else that you want to be easily findable for your readers.

Post When Tumblr is Active

this might vary a little bit for everyone, and you’ll get more of a sense for this the more active you are on tumblr, but i’ve found that tumblr is usually most active around 7pm/8pm in my time zone (CST). that could totally be different for you. but try to get a feel for when people seem to be most active on tumblr, and take advantage of that by posting during the high times.

Format Your Posts

there are a few things you can do to make your posts look nice. one thing i highly recommend is creating a custom header image for your fic. canva is an easy and free resource that i like to use - just make a free account and then use their free templates and stock images to throw something together. if you choose to use something created by someone else, like a gif of an idol, make sure that you credit that person.

after your header image, definitely include info about what the reader should expect from this fic. this info helps readers decide if they’re actually going to read your work, so it’s very important that you’re clear. definitely feel free to steal my formatting - i always include genre, character pairing, word count, summary, warnings, links to other parts of the fic, an author’s note, and tags. although my summary is usually a full-fic summary, my warnings are specific to the part they’re posted in. you can indent this info to keep it separate from the body of the fic.

please, for the love of god, use a Keep reading break if your fic is more than a few hundred words. if you don’t use a Keep reading break, then everyone will have to scroll through the thousands of words you’ve written, and that’s SUPER annoying to people who aren’t actually interested in reading it (even if they plan on returning to it later). i’ve very intentionally decided to avoid someone’s writing because they didn’t use a Keep reading break, and having to scroll through it was such an inconvenience to me that i deemed their fics not worth reading. be considerate and use the break - bonus points if you keep all smutty content after the break!

last thing: figure out how you want to break between scenes. tumblr used to have a really simple line that you could insert between scenes to create a visual break between scenes, but it didn’t hide content the way the Keep reading break does. unfortunately, they took it away, so now we have to get creative. i’ve seen some writers just use a single asterisk (*) between scenes. i ended up creating my own scene break image in canva and i just insert it after every scene. this is what mine looks like:

whatever you end up using, just make sure it’s simple so it doesn’t draw too much attention.

Be Smart About Tags

figure out what tags are used for your fandom, and be sure to use them every time you post! i think the first five tags are the most important - i’m pretty sure those are the ones that your post can appear in when someone searches that tag.

for example, my main fic is a smutty fic that features a few members of the kpop group pentagon. so depending on what happens in the part i’m posting, i’ll usually include tags such as: hongseok smut, wooseok smut, kino angst, hyunggu angst, hongseok scenario, hongseok fic, wooseok scenario, wooseok fic, kino scenario, kino fic, hyunggu scenario, hyunggu fic.

Join a Network

this tip is a bit more kpop fanfic specific - i’m not sure what kinds of networks are out there for other writers.

networks are a great way to share your works with a wider audience, and they’re also a great way to meet other writers that are interested in the same things you are!

one of the best networks that i’ve joined is @ksmutclub. they have a big following, and they do a really good job of staying on top of reblogs. keep an eye on their blog to see when applications are open. i should also mention that, because it’s a smut network, they’ll only reblog smutty content. this network is also open to all kpop fandoms!

there are also other networks, like @uni-network, which don’t actually require an application. if you create content for pentagon, tag it with #uninet and it’ll get reblogged. the only caveat is that they don’t reblog smutty content because they want the blog to be open to all ages. you are still welcome to use the tag, though - just keep your smut under the cut!

i’m also a member of @universenet, but i don’t think they’re active anymore...

Follow Other Writers

this one might be hard to do depending on the size of your fandom, but if you can find other content creators, give them a follow! and if you enjoy their work, reblog it! your blog will benefit from you sharing content that’s not your own (as long as you’re reblogging, not reposting. you always want to give credit to the original creator). plus, you want people to interact with your blog, so do your part and interact with others, too!

Dark Souls 1: Solaire of Astora

I’m only familiar with the first game! It’s probably relevant to mention that I think that linking the fire is kind of a dumbass move, Gwyn is a jerk, Kaathe has his own agenda and there’s no winning move in this world, or at least no obvious one. And amidst all this nonsense, Solaire just shines, pure of heart and dumb of ass like the best of ‘em. I love his kindness in this cruelest of worlds and I love the sad edge he’s got even earlier on when he admits to being seen as weird.

I would enjoy a bittersweet ending for him but I realize both of his endings are deeply entrenched in his themes so it’s hard to make him steer clear of either of those. If you can figure out how to make him not link the Flame or survive the ordeal, I’m all ears! I like a sense of purpose being the thing that can stave off hollowing, and I like characters helping other characters finding that sense of purpose within themselves. Focus on scenery always welcome, and if you want to make up a location, that’s great too!

I’d be super happy with a story set during Solaire’s time in Lordran that simply doesn’t mention his endings, anyway. Maybe he’s the one who helps someone else while his own tragedy keeps looming on the horizon. Striking up friendships in the face of a crapsack world! Meeting people through Lordran’s temporal/dimensional fuckery, where it’s possible to cross the path of warriors who have been gone for ages… could Solaire meet either or both Catarina knights (there’s so much great art about sun bro and onion bro but where’s the fic?), or do the grumpy grump&ray of sunshine routine with Logan, or meet Artorias or even Gwyn before he linked the Flame - or himself? What if he met Kaathe?

Ships: none really? Solaire/Chosen Undead but I don’t really like to read about customizable protagonists in fic so I’d rather not get fic featuring the CU. I’m all about the & character combos here.

Ghost Trick: Cabanela, Jowd

I love Cabanela being fierce and dazzling bright and determined and loyal to the very end, dancing to his own rhythm, so sure of himself and of his ideas that he doesn’t even need to prove to anyone that he’s right. Too sure of the wrong idea, once, and everything crashed and burned. And I love Jowd being the immovable object to Cabanela’s unstoppable force, a suicidal trainwreck of guilt with the gallows humor to show for it, and also incredibly smart (both jerks figured out Sissel’s powers better than Sissel did, that’s... something) and athletic and with an unsuspected talent for stealth.

I am very interested in various characters finding about the erased timeline, but not getting their memories back, and having to live with being told about what they did but never remembering it. Touch-starved Jowd in the new timeline is a surefire hit (or maybe Cabanela if he’s the one who came back and kept the memories of the old timeline). Touchy-feely Cabanela as kind of his baseline with the people he likes. All what-ifs welcome:what if they managed an acceptable happy ending but didn’t reset the timeline, what if Alma’s ghost stuck around… I’m also wondering about either of them ending up undead via Temsik shard - how would they take these developments (I’m assuming better than Yomiel did but the bar is admittedly low), did Cabanela do it on purpose for whatever sensible-if-you-are-Cabanela reason, what does it change in their relationship, what are the practical pros and cons of the situation here. UFO adventures with Pigeon Man! Lynne teaming up with either of them against the other! Sissel death-averting action if either/both of them die or just regular cat action! Spy stuff! Daring rescues! My forever prompt of Jowd being the one who gets a chance to prove his loyalty to Cabanela for once. Dancing.

Please no Yomiel. Nothing against the guy I’m just getting an overdose of him through RPing.

Ships: Alma/Cabanela/Jowd and all sides thereof, but when it splits the canon couple I only like it when the missing spouse is dead or otherwise unavailable, hopefully with a reset on the horizon. If you want to go for a Cabanela&Alma or Cabanela/Alma who are strongly motivated by a dead or jailed Jowd, I’m good with him not actively appearing in the fic. Alma/Jowd & Cabanela is excellent in all scenarios. I’m good with explicitly non-romantic takes on Jowd&Cabs but please keep their bond strong, and please no conflicting ship for Cabanela. Lynne/Memry!

Kentucky Route Zero: Any (Lula Chamberlain, Joseph Wheattree, Donald kentuckyroutezero, Weaver Màrquez)

(if enough of us request it, will some Murphy corollary guarantee that Act V will come out between now and reveals just to mess with the Yuletide schedule? If it does, I’ll be playing it immediately and probably add a few thoughts and prompts here for kicks, at the end of this section, after a spoiler warning. Obviously feel free to stick to canon up to Un Pueblo De Nada)

I’m all for exploration of any of the game’s themes and for including any staples from adjacent genres - wanna go full-on American Gothic? Dip into surrealism? Take a leaf from Twin Peaks with tulpa / split narratives to explore the characters’ issues? I can’t think of any specific AUs for the disaster trio + disaster soloist here, but I generally love AUs so if you want to sidestep the inconvenience of an incomplete canon that way, be my guest! Or of course there’s Xanadu at the height of its glory, an infinite what-ifs generator. Was Weaver ever part of it, what was this digital Weaver up to? A Xanadu narrative would be great! A good fit for IF, too? I’d love to hear about any new spot along the Zero or the Echo river, or an expansion of some place that’s only mentioned by Will in HATATE or only gets a few paragraphs of text. Lula getting ideas for a new installation, or an article talking about her work? Donald listening to Static between stations somehow (Donald being constantly high as a kite as per this)? Joseph who went back to the surface finds himself near an entrance to the Zero somewhere? A collection of Weaver-isms? Feel free to bring in anyone else from any part of canon.

Ships: “Flipping through the pages, Conway is able to gather that it's a story about three characters: Joseph, Donald, and Lula. It's something like a tragic love triangle, but much more complex. Some kind of tangled, painfully concave love polygon.” 😬 that one, as a full triad, regrettably since they don’t seem too inclined to get reunited and stay that way. If you can nudge them, good. But I’m very open to non-romantic resolutions as well, going past their messy feelings to find each other as friends after so many years maybe. For Weaver, I’m interested in all her & relationships (seriously. Weaver & Cate. Weaver & EmilyBen&Bob. Weaver & Slow Moe Crow.) but nothing shippy. Conway/Lysette, Junebug/Johnny(/Shannon?).

The Last Remnant: David Nassau, Pagus

I’m very interested in post-game exploration, and getting a clearer feeling of any of the cities and assorted places that populate this fascinating world. I like the whole party with their characterization based on battle quotes, red bubble dialogues, and even their unique stat (‘authority’ is a natural fit for David but ‘romance’ tells me something new about Sibal!) Character interaction. Bit of worldbuilding. What’s another festival they celebrate? Do they erect something else instead of the Valeria Heart? Any fun discoveries down in Siebenbur? Where the hell IS Veyriel, anyway, do they go look for it and if so what do they find out? End of an age. Old bonds.

I ache for David who fought so valiantly as a warrior and as a politician only to be slapped in the face with the unexpected loss Emma first and then Rush, right as they were ready to claim their victory and as he would have to start coming to terms with the idea that maybe without the Gae Bolg he wouldn’t die young. At least his Generals are still with him - out of them, all of whom I adore, I picked Pagus because Qsiti are cool. And Pagus in particular is the coolest (”I know that fine qsiti... That large, reticent mouth, the laugh lines around the eyes...“ he’s FINE it’s CANON!). So I’d like to see how David bounces off Pagus in particular, what their bond is like, what he thinks of whatever aspect of Qsiti culture.

Ships: postcanon David/Rush, possibly with an emphasis on Rush’s nature as a remnant? I am also fond of Pagus/Sibal/Maddox, there are more prompts for them in my #letters tag!

Pyre: Volfred Sandalwood, Tariq The Lone Minstrel

Oh the burning found family feelings, the revolutionary passion, the tension between topside social constraints (moreso for liberated exiles, thrust into heroic roles after the revolution) and the kind of freedom allowed by the Downside! I love all the themes, the solemnity, the heart of this game. I’ve been waiting for a character like Tariq all my life, a minstrel who’s otherworldly soft and just a lil bit eldritch. Volfred as well, he just hits my perfect ratio of “noble intentions” to “scheming to a fault”. Like, the percentages in his planner are pointless for gameplay since the ending just depends on the number of Nightwings sent topside at the end - so it’s just there for his characterization, he’s the sort of person who assigns percentages to people, nbd. ...for a good cause! That said, I would die for anyone in that Blackwagon+Dalbert+Celeste, so if you want to write in someone else as well, please do! (otoh if you maybe want to dunk on Brighton or Manley, I don’t like bashing but canon levels of love-to-hate-them would be fun)

Thoughts about finding oneself at the end of an age, as everything crumbles down to form something new. The titan stars. History nerd Volfred, “aye sir, I was there” Tariq. Conversations with Dalbert. Or with Sandra? Any postcanon very welcome with any combination of endings as long as the revolution was peaceful. Please do lean into the xeno headcanons if you enjoy them! Even for gen, I like to read what it’s like to be something other than human and these two are very much not human in different and intriguing ways. Or, Volfred’s zodiac sign is Cancer and Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so there’s that. I also love how they both hold the other in the highest esteem, especially on Tariq’s part since he’s the immortal Herald of the Scribes and Volfred is, all in all, a history teacher, but listen to him and you’d think the roles were inverted. I love my nonviolent canon but could anything happen to either of them that may require a rescue, and/or some good old-fashioned h/c? What’s something that could make Tariq of all people lose it? How’s life 100 years on?

For a funnier mood, picture Volfred trying to figure out how to flirt with Tariq with percentages, planners and all. He could just ask him but no, it’s convoluted plan or bust. Or, conversely, Tariq’s increasingly direct hints that he’s interested, but they’re still ‘increasingly direct’ for Tariq standards, so, not at all, undetectable even by Volfred who can get pretty damningly indirect himself.

Ships: Volfred/Tariq, Volfred/Oralech, some form of Oralech/Volfred/Tariq (more of a Volfred-centric V but I would like to be convinced of the Oralech/Tariq side of things), Celeste/Jodariel, Hedwyn/Fikani and Pamitha/Bertrude.

Twin Peaks: Albert Rosenfield

Case fic but they don’t find out jack shit, someone disappears, David Bowie was there, it’s complicated. Fragmented, shifted, mirrored identities. New Lodge spaces. The risks of staring into the void for too long. Gentle illusions. Transcendence. The moon. Static buzzing. Any title from the s3 ethereal whooshing compilation used as a prompt, actually. Twin Peaks is all about the mystery to me, the awe of mystery and unknowability and the human drive to look beyond and the risks of getting a peek, and about shared consciousness and trauma taking physical form and about the warmth of human connections in an uncaring world. Go wild with the ethereal whooshing!

I love Albert and he breaks my heart, a pacifist who ends his arc shooting his oldest remaining friend after life sucked all the passion and most of the idealism out of him. Is shooting Diane just to see Cooper come back, get her back and disappear with her again trauma enough to make him split? I’d be interested in reading about it, or any other take on his unwavering loyalty to Gordon which should maybe waver after Gordon’s admission that he’s lied to him for 25 years and the aforementioned unmitigated disaster of an ending. But I’m also very interested in his life apart from the disaster that is Blue Rose and his heartbreaking search for Cooper: did he keep in touch with Harry throughout the years, what did they talk about? Was he ever dragged along for a hike in the woods and did something weird happen there? We know he kept in touch with Diane, what did THEY talk about? Does he go on a journey of his own to find her after the ending? Does Tammy come along, do they see each other as friends other than mentor and protégé? What was Phil like as a co-boss back in the day? Did he get a small victory over Windom at some point (maybe even in the present day, given Kenneth Welsh’s recent wonderful interview where he’s adamant that Windom lives)? Does Laura ever visit him in some ghostly manner? He and Denise look like a great duo for a case and/or office shenanigans. We know from TFD that he’s a big jazz enthusiast, something about that? When does he cave in and just accept some aspects of Coop’s investigative method? Just set him loose on another unsuspecting character and I’ll be happy.

If Coop comes back (and I’d love for Coop to come back), I would like it if he came back on his own thanks to having sorted out his crap. After s3, I am not interested in stories about any other character saving Cooper. Albert’s got his wounds to lick dangit. And he’s got friends who can be by his side! ...I do love his dynamic with Coop so much, though. Sigh. I do miss that bastard. Anyway.

Ships: Albert/Coop/Harry and sides thereof, Tammy/Cynthia, Gordon/Phil, Diane/Constance, Lucy/Andy, Chet/Sam.

Iris Nguyen was actually born as Violet Phan.

Her sibling got involved with a gang, and when they didn’t follow through on something, the gang went after Iris. After trying to grab her, her attacker tripped and hit his head on the corner of a dumpster, killing him. The Phan family was put in witness protection, and became the Nguyens.

Iris’ cover story is that she was homeschooled until her father got a job in Beverly Hills, and subsequently the Nguyen children were put in the nearest school. Iris was in freshman year, so despite joining partway through the year, it wasn’t as hard of an adjustment as it was for the others.

The only social media Iris uses is Snapchat, and that’s because the pictures aren’t posted publicly. She also doesn’t let her friends post pictures of her online, and her excuse is that her parents are weird about it.

It’s pretty easy to push her around tbh. She’s really sweet and friendly to basically anyone, unless you’ve done something to seriously piss her off or break her trust. But otherwise, she’s pretty chill and is down for most things, which is part of why she’s such a pushover.

She’s really into baking and crafting, and she’s not fantastic but she’s not bad either.

Where her talents really lie is in music. She keeps a pretty low profile with it, because she doesn’t want much attention being called to her in general, but she plays violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, and a bit of saxophone.

She writes a lot of songs and wishes she could put herself out there more, but is afraid any video will get back to Oakland.

Her “voice claim” is Vienna Teng, some specific songs being Lullabye for a Stormy Night, Landsailor, Goodnight New York, and Flyweight Love if you wanna check them out (no pressure tho)

Iris obviously can’t tell anyone what her past is and for that reason, she has trouble getting really close to people. She has friends, but it’s unlikely that they know much about her other than her personality and what she does at school.

I think that’s it?? I might add more to that, who knows. I have a few wanted connections below too!

Flashbacks: Someone that Iris knew before going into Witness Protection. I have a childhood friend or crush in my head, but like if it was someone she didn’t get along with, that would be fine too. It’s been 2-3 years since they saw her so she probably looks different, but it depends on whether they would recognize her or not with a different name and hairstyle.

Duet partner: Iris is in the school orchestra and choir etc, but she isn’t very outspoken about writing music, and usually if she’s playing her own stuff it’ll be in a small room with a piano or guitar. HOWEVER, she does have some duets that she’s written, and I plan on having her post a few songs online anonymously in a bit, so I’d love a connection where they could be on some of those recordings.

Exes are always fun!! Iris is a Junior and got to Beverly Hills partway through freshman year, so there’s plenty of opportunity for past relationships. Whether it ended well or poorly, I’m definitely down to discuss.

notes: i finished this last night but ao3 was being a bitch and wouldn't let me upload and i had to wait till i got home from school to post

They both stumble into their hotel room. Both dragging their suitcases behind them with backpacks hanging off their shoulders. Phil holding the door open for Dan, who is carrying a large box with a keyboard inside. They put all of their stuff in a pile, while Dan is still holding the box.

“Dan where are you going to put that?”

Dan looks around their tiny room. The bags are taking up most of the floor space. He looks at the bed. There's a tiny space between the bed and the wall and the box would fit perfectly in it.

“Here is fine.”

He slots the box in. Dan realizes the placing of it is a bit illogical but he's not working with much at the moment.

“Dan, are you really going to leave it there?”

“Yep.”

Phil is about to open his mouth to say something but the knock on the door interrupts him.

“I'll get that.”

Dan walks over to the door and opens it. He doesn't bother looking through the peephole. A few people from the crew are standing outside.

“We were wondering if you would want to grab a few drinks with us?”

“Let me ask Phil what he wants to do real quick.”

Dan walks over to the bed that Phil is now sitting on.

“Do you want to grab drinks with them?”

Dan doesn't really mind if Phil wants to go or not. He's up for going out or staying in. Whatever Phil wants to do he’ll do.

“My head is kinda bothering me.”

That's their “get out of social situations” card. Phil feels kinda bad for making Dan bail on something he might actually want to do. Dan walks back over to the door.

“He's not really feeling that well so I'm gonna stay in and make sure he doesn't like throw up all over the place.Thanks for asking though. Maybe next time?”

“Sure yeah.”

Dan shuts the door but he can still hear what they say when it closes.

“I knew they weren't gonna go.”

“Just didn't wanna go out and get fired for not inviting them.”

Dan can't really make out what they say next as their voices drift away from walking elsewhere.

“You could have gone if you really wanted to.”

“I don't mind.”

Dan flops on the bed next to him. Phil is flipping through the room service menu.

“Whats on the menu?”

“The normal hotel food stuff. What are you in the mood for?”

“Is greek okay?”

“Yeah.”

“Is it on the menu?”

Phil skims over the pages.

“Not really but I can find a place to deliver.”

Phil takes out his phone and starts looking.

“What did you specifically have in mind?”

“Kebabs and pita bread.”

Phil finds a restaurant and dials the number.

While Phil orders the food Dan walks into the bathroom and turns on the shower. He strips and waits until he sees steam rise up from the curtains and walks in. He adjusts the shower head so he's actually not standing over the water spray. He feels the hot water run over his body and starts to lather himself with soap. Two shows in one day- on the first day of the actual tour has him drained. It's not that the show itself is physically demanding, or the meet and greets that drain his social tolerance fairly quickly. It's the adrenaline that came and now faded way. He feels good though. At least tomorrow they have a free day to catch up with PJ and Sophie, before they go around the world for like 5 months. Phil opening the curtains cuts him off from his train of thought.

“Can I come in?”

“Might as well.”

Phil lets his body relax under the warm spray as Dan takes some soap and starts washing Phil. Dan's hands start at Phil's back, massaging him. Dan's large hands feel amazing on Phil's tired body. Dan's hands start moving lower until he is grabbing his ass. Phil moans when Dan first starts to touch his butt. Dan keeps his grip on Phil's ass tight, he's not even massaging it at this point, he's just holding it. Then Phil turns around.

“Hey.”

Phil says in a calm voice. Dan knows that voice anywhere. The voice that reassures him when Dan is in his bad place. But Dan is fine right now, in this moment at least. He's not so sure why Phil is speaking to him like this currently.

“Hi, baby.”

Dan places a soft kiss on Phils now slightly damp forehead. Phil places his arms over Dan's shoulders.

“Are you okay?”

Phil asks in the same voice. Dan doesn't feel off but maybe Phil is sensing something. Usually, they know each other more than they know themselves, but Dan is fine. He's not denying something- maybe Phil is just concerned?

“M fine Phil.”

Dan looks straight into Phils eyes. Those gorgeous colored eyes that can't see shit. He loves them.

“Honestly I'm good.

“Good.”

Phil smiled at him and started to kiss him. They stand like that for a little while. Just kissing in the warm water and enjoying each other. Phil pulls away and gets down on his knees. Their shower sex only consists of blowjobs but Dans okay with that. He feels content. Feels at the moment. Feels warmth in his chest for the man currently wrapping his lips around him.

They are both changed in their pajamas when there's a knock at the door.

“It's your turn to get it.”

Dan doesn't look up from his phone. He is finalizing their plans with PJ and Sophie. They have been trying to reach each other all day and since he finally was able to catch them, he's not letting down that easy. Oh, and it is his turn though.

Phil grabs his wallet and opens the door. The delivery man is holding a bunch of bags with take out boxes inside.

“How many people are you feeding mate?”

“Just two.”

“Good luck.”

Phil chuckles a bit as he hands the man his cash. The man counts the money as he hands the bags over to Phil.

“You have an extra £15 here.”

“Keep the change.”

The man gives an awkward but appreciative smile. Phil gives one back. He shuts the door and tries not to trip over their bags and spill food all over the room. Phil sets the bags on the bed and Dan starts to open them. Phil takes out some of the plastic utensils out from the bottom of the bags. They throw (or try to) the plastic bags into a pile on the floor.

“Phil wait.”

“What is it?”

“Can you take a picture? For Instagram real quick?”

Phil takes Dan’s phone from the bed and goes into Instagram.

“For your story or an actual post?”

“Story.”

Dan crosses his legs and does the prayer hands. Phil smiles and rolls his eyes at his boyfriend. He snaps the picture and hands it over to Dan. He types in the caption. He really does feel hopeful about this tour. He is super excited about it and he feels thankful that Phil here doing this with him. That's why when he adds in the “ty ly bb” he doesn't think twice about it. He's just caught up in his head. Besides he wants to be more open about his sexuality and relationship to his audience. Is that such a bad thing? Phil opens his own phone to see what Dan wrote.

“Dan you do realize what you just wrote right?”

Phil hands his phone over to Dan. His eyes land on the last comment, in the bottom right-hand corner.

“Fuck.”

The fans are going to react in one of two ways. One is thinking its a cute little nod to Phil (since like everyone knows they are together at this point.) Two is trying to deny it as much as possible and think the “bb” is just directed to either the delivery man or the people at the show.

“Dan you can just delete it.”

“Do you want me to delete it?”

“Only if you want to.”

Dan looks at it again. Its been posted for what one minute? Not even? Dan looks at the number of people who've seen it so far. A couple hundred. Those couple hundred people could have it posted all over every other social media site by now. You know what? Dan doesn't care anymore. He wants to be free and be himself without his audience dragging him down. He keeps the picture up.

“I wanna keep it.”

Dan says as he's taking a piece of pita bread and dipping it into the hummus. Phil opens the container with the vegetables inside.

“Okay.”

Phil gets a fork and starts to dig in. They just eat in silence for a little bit. Too hungry to stop and chat. Then Phil picks up one of the sausages and starts to eat it. Dan starts laughing.

“What?”

“Phil you're practically giving it a blowjob.”

“Dan you're actually a 12-year-old.”

“But if I remember correctly you were doing just that about an hour ago.”

Phil takes the half eaten sausage and puts on a show for Dan- just to tease him. He starts laughing again. Fuck. Phil would do anything to hear Dans laugh. It's beautiful. It's not like that's the whole reason Phil is pretending to deepthroat a piece of meat or anything.

“Is it bad that that's kinda turning me on right now?”

“Dan I think you have a problem, you and your sex addiction.”

“Yea but in this case, you would have one too considering I need you to have sex.”

“Yea but I'm not the one that's constantly bringing sex up.”

“Touche.”

They continue to eat most of their food. They put the uneaten cuisine in one box and clean up. They both lie back down on the bed and Phil cuddles closer to Dan.

“Dan?”

“Yeah?”

“Can you play me a song on your keyboard?”

“Sure.”

He rolls over to the edge of the bed and takes it out. He plugs it into the wall and turns it on.

“What song did ya have in mind?”

“Unintended by Muse.”

“You're such a fucking sap you know that right?”

“So are you. Besides it relaxes me. Helps calm me down.”

“Whatever you say Mr. We-should-maybe-play-this-at-our-not-so-distant-wedding.”

Phil smiles and shuffles closer. Dan cracks his knuckles and starts to play. His fingers dance on the keys as his feet lightly tap to the beat. He starts to sing softly. The way you would sing to a baby, trying to get it to fall asleep.

“You could be my unintended. Choice to live my life extended. You could be the one I always love. You could be the one who listens to my deepest inquisitions. You could be the one I always love. I’ll be there as soon as I can but i'm busy mending the pieces of the life I had before.”

Phil closes his eyes in contentment as Dan serenades him. He sings the way you would sing to a baby, trying to get it to fall asleep. It's beautiful. He feels so relaxed. Feels so loved. Feels so important. He cuts Dan off by kissing him softly on the lips. It takes Dan by surprise because he was so focused on looking at his hands while playing.

“What was that about?”

Dan asks in a soft voice. The same voice he was just singing in.

“I just love you.”

Dan smiles at him.

“Love you too.”

They are both snuggled under the covers. Phil is laying his head on Dan's chest. He feels so warm. Between the blanket, their shared body heat and Dan's general constantly warm like a space heater-ness, it's almost too warm.

Almost.

Dans starting to drift off when Phil speaks.

“Dan?”

“Yeah?”

“I'm really proud of you.”

“Of what?”

“Everything.”

There's a pause before speaks again.

“Dan?”

“Yeah?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Phil tries (and fails) to bury his head deeper in Dan's chest. He wants to be as close to him as possible. He knows he physically is but this somehow isn't enough. Doesn't feel like enough. When Dan puts his hand and plays with Phil's hair? That's enough. How the fuck does Dan know what Phil needs and when he needs it? Phil will never know. The only thing Phil can do is the same for Dan. To be there when he needs him and cuddle him when he's sad or talk to him when he feels like speaking. Whether it's something important or funny or anything he will be there for Dan.

And that's exactly what he's going to do.

I feel like shit today

I'm lethargic, slow, crying, and insecure. So yep ~depression~ has come to rear its ugly head once again.

But since I'm not into the whole anti-recovery thing, I'll give you some useful tips on how to maybe help YOUR depression that doesn't seem like a generic twitter self help thread. (Though I'll mention some things I found helpful and give explainations as to why.)

Talk to your therapist/counselor/mental health expert if available. Not everyone has the luxury of seeking professional help, but if you have the opportunity, PLEASE go to a professional. However be noted that it's often an experience to go through many different experts to find the one that matches your specific needs/ you like the most. Also keep in mind there are also online therapists ready to help if you're not big on one-on-one contact like myself, though often insurance is tricky. I put this one first because it might be the most beneficial for some, though not readily available for others.

If you have the strength, shower. Showering/cleaning yourself is a blessing in itself as it gives you a sense of detox. Though if you don’t have the strength or motivation, try some of this instead-

Utilize facewash and lotion. Particularly facewash that makes your face feel all chill and tingly, it makes you feel more refreshed. Lotions and cream will help you keep skin smooth.

Simply get wet with water, a quick 5 minute rinse in hot water is less of a chore than a full shower.

Dry shampoo will help with hair oiliness. Though if you don't have access just brush your hair and pull it/part it so it's out of your face.

Baby wipes. Baby wipes will cure yo soul. But seriously use baby wipes and rub them on your face, underarms, and genitals. A good rub down will help prevent you from feeling gross.

Splashing your face with cold water, it makes your pores tighten up and as a bonus it'll wake you up.

Utilize deodorant and vaseline. I haven't tried it out for myself, though if you put down deodorant and then vaseline on top it should trap the nice fragrant smell. And while you're at it you can put on cologne / perfume if you think you're getting a lil ripe, but if you want to smell like a fresh shower use ones that are labeled "shower fresh" or "baby powder."

If your lips are chapped, put on some balm shisters. (I don't trust the brand chapstick, I'm a conspiracy theorist okay I'm soRRy)

Change into some cleaner clothes. They don't have to be normal everyday clothes but at least change into new clothes, especially underwear.

Clean your fingernails/toenails. Clean under them, since random junk can get stuck up in there. Also clip them if they're too long for your liking.

Brush your teeth. But if you can't, use mints, gum, mouthwash, mouthspray, etc, or a combination of those. Anything minty will make your mouth tingle and feel fresh and clean.

Clean yo ears! Since probably nobody uses an ear vacuum (like you're supposedly supposed to idk I'm too broke for that shit anyways) just be careful using Q-tips.

If you don’t have any deodorant, try hand sanitizer! I'm not kidding. Put a dollop under each underarm, and let dry. Smells are caused by bacteria, so if you get hand sanitizer, it should greatly reduce smell.

Try to get some sun. Using the natural sunlight will help you absorb vitamin D. So open up the blinds and photosynthesize binches. Though it also helps to open up the window if you can, a breeze/fresh air blowing in with the smell of outside might even raise your mood. Though if it's currently shitty weather outside, try turning on your lights to match your circadian rhythm, so keep lights on during the day and dim it at night so it'll help with letting you be on a decent sleep schedule.

Feeling like there's no hope or that your future is going to be shit? Highkey me too, but here's what I do to combat that feeling.

It's corny, but I write a whole idealized future for myself. I write about my dream job, I write about my dream s/o, I even imagine the type of house I want to live in, the kids I'll have, what kind of pets I want to own. Etc. Although the economy is shit and no future is guaranteed, it's nice to put some positivity into light and show what I really want in life. I don't want to be some millionaire, I just want to be comfortably well off with a family and people that love me. And in all honesty a future like that isn't hard to obtain.

Even if you can't imagine a good future for yourself, imagine being a part of your friends or loved one's futures. For example, you know your friend who's dating this really cute person that you totally ship them with? Imagine being a part of the bridesmaids/groomsmen for their wedding when they tie the knot! Imagine your really smart friend finally graduating from college and you're at their graduation party giving them a speech! For me this really helps since I aspire to be drinking buddies with my best friend's future husband. (I'm rlly goofy ik lmao)

Feeling stressed about not doing anything? We've all been there. Try:

Doing work if you're due for assignments, though don't do it alone, if you can, arrange a group text/tutoring session/Skype call. If everyone is focused on getting something done then you'll be motivated to do it with them.

Though if you don’t absolutely have to do anything but want to do ~s o m e t h i n g~ I also got your back on this too.

Organize your inbox for your email. (Ik I'm lame)

Tidy/clean your room/any room if that gives you something to do.

Make your bed.

Cuddle someone/something.

Rearranging your stuff in your room, makes it feel like a whole remodel tbh.

Burn candles/incense. Don't ask just...trust me on this it can change the aura.

If you're religious, practice!

Take aesthetic photos of things in your room. Download VSCO and experiment with it. I also recommend Huji Cam and Afterlight. All are available for IOS and Android.

If you appreciate music- use YouTube and find some Playlists, or if you can, spotify premium will save yo mortal soul.

Like video games? Play some! Or if you're a brokeass like me, let's plays and walk throughs work well too.

If you got pets, pet them. Do it. Snuggle. Or if you love animals in general go and watch some vids on YouTube.

Build a fort.

If you're an artist or appreciate art- draw! Or you can watch animatics, animation memes, art channels, or follow artists on here or on Instagram and Twitter if you want to be inspired, or just observe.

Have a certain series you keep putting off? Watch! It! Netflix/Hulu that shit. Or cable TV works too.

Go on Wikipedia and just go on an adventure. Click from link to link and see where it takes you. Learn some weird new facts!

Read a new book.

Read the news/watch the news.

Write about a certain topic that you're absolutely fascinated about.

Watch movies!

Join a club/interest group. You can do this online too and it'll help meet people with similar interests as you. You can make new friends this way.

Give your friends a call/text. Having conversations will keep you occupied.

Self love aka masturbate. Or have (safe) sex with someone you trust!

Workout

Do some makeup/skincare routine. Even if you think you look bad just commit to practicing.

Sometimes it's just funny to go through and read some Reddit threads so be safe when surfing on there.

Stretch and move around! Dance if you wanna!

Do your hair/experiment in some new styles, maybe even dye it if you feel daring.

Have an icon you stan? Stan HARDER.

Watch iconic vine/rare vine compilations until you can memorize them.

Clean out your phone contacts of people that are irrelevant/toxic!! Out of sight out of mind! Don't hang on to them if they did you wrong. All the text conversations will just make you feel worse!

Actually cook your favorite food, cooking it will make you more dedicated to eating it and give you more of an appreciation for it.

Organize your closet.

Organize anything in your room/closet. Throw away things that you don't need or are too old to use.

Start collecting things, stuffed animals, pins, snowglobes, you name it.

Pinterest is addictive lowkey so try that if you're into that kind of stuff.

Write! Write a new story, write poetry, write about your feelings, write a letter, write fanfiction, express yourself.

Use Duolingo to try and study a new language to learn. (The owl will harass tf outta your email though but as long as you do like 5 minutes a day he won't bother.)

That's about all I can think of but feel free to add more for activities to dedicate your time to.

If you need to, because of your self image, don't go and stand in front of mirrors. If I stand in front of a mirror too long I'll end up scrutinizing myself and find a flaw after flaw. If you are specifically insecure about something with your body, look up models who have the same thing! Like if you're insecure about having vitiligo, look up Winnie Harlow! She's gorgeous! If you're insecure about being chubby, look up plus sized models! If you have a tooth gap, there's plenty of people like you! You don't have to feel ugly because of that when you have these awesome models rocking what they got.

Vent. You can vent to your friends, family, or even online. There are apps that allow you to vent anonymously to others without the fear of judgement. But if you can't do that, take a pen/pencil and write something down in your notebook. Though don't reread it to keep drowning in the negativity, once you write it, shut it. You can do the same on Google Docs online, once you write down everything, delete it. Don't keep trying to fuel your negative thoughts and bitterness, get your rant over with and be done. It's like a fresh start. (Plus on my Instagram spam account I always feel really silly looking at my old rant posts, so I usually delete stuff afterwards when I'm not feeling so in my feelings).

Don't expect recovery to be in a straight line. You'll have amazing days and also have extremely shitty days. Recovery isn't hoping to never experience shitty days, recovery is being able to feel the strength on those shitty days and know that they'll pass, and with each storm you'll be stronger than before. Don't push yourself to be flawless, because shit happens. But you'll make it through. And that's what matters.

And last but not least, seek emergency help if you feel like you're dangerously close to ending your life due to pain. Call the suicide hotline for support, because the pain can ease soon if you ask for the help that you need and deserve.

Not everyone that reads this is going to be like "wow this really helped me cope with my depression/mental illness!" But my goal was to at least try. It may not work for everyone unfortunately, but I hope that anyone dealing with a mental illness is on the road to recovering. Because I know how it feels. It feels sucky as fuck. But if this helps even just one person, then that's enough. I hope everyone has at least a decent day, and I hope that everyone's pain eases soon.

i'm back for a third season and hoping you are too!

(I also forgot to include my contact. whoops! Fixed.) OC or fandom?: Both normally, but for now i'm only doing fandom settings. ( I very much enjoy Canon worlds with OCs included). That in mind it's better for me to figure out what we're doing first, then I can let you know if i'm familiar with the setting, or if i'd like to play any characters. If RPing smut, are you of legal age in your country?: Yes. i'm in my late 20s, and if this winds up being included. I ask that my writing partner be at least 21-22+, (the closer to my age or being around my age would be more ideal, but I won't reject replies outright! just please be at least the number stated and be willing to state your age.) And if you're under 18 please don't contact me. What characters do you have/play?: Oh geez. Is So Damn Many a number? i've got a lot when it comes to OCs, and still more who are availiable but haven't been put up yet. For canons, it's better to just ask me. I also tend to make a character specifically for a fandom or original setting, if I don't already have a suitable one to drop in there. What characters would you like to play against?: Most types are fine. If we're talking OCs I would love to play against characters who are cheeky and charming... without having the social skills of a bottle of sriracha to the eye. Re: Allura & the making of a 6th lion

Content warning: post will contain spoilers about the latest season of Voltron Legendary Defender(s3) & of the show in general, as well as minor spoilers about the 80s Voltron (Although this is seen more in the links I mention).

So, I don’t really do theory posts- that is to say I’ve never posted my ideas before because of my social anxiety- but then I came across these two posts [1] [2] that theorize about what princess Allura’s role within Voltron, the lions, and ultimately the show will be now that A) She is a paladin of Voltron, particularly of the blue lion-like & unlike her father & B) Shiro has returned & that has thrown into question who will be with what lion.

I would recommend reading those 2 posts before you read mine, as mine will be jumping off of the ideas in those posts, particularly focusing on allura and the idea of a 6th lion. The rest of the post will be under the cut as this post was much longer than I originally intended (I love to ramble & Voltron brings that out in me exponentially lol) it to be.

Reasons why Allura will get her own lion, a 6th lion, that would be the “heart” of Voltron.

1) She obviously has a lot to bring to the team/lions/paladin dynamic in terms of natural skill and history.

As she says in the series, she knew the paladins of old (the ones we were introduced to in s3) and therefore, by proxy, she knows more about the lions and paladins structure the most of all the paladins now present. This is furthered by how, despite her initial struggles with the blue lion, the other paladins note that she progresses faster with her skills and handling of the lion faster than they did. Which again makes sense seeing as she grew up with the lions & she is a direct descendant of one of the original paladins, not to mention she is the daughter of the man who created the lions, scientifically speaking (as we saw in the flashbacks 3.6). Therefore, it makes sense that she herself could/would have an affinity to pilot one of the lions, if not a very important lion, like her father did before her.

In addition to that, she is obviously trained in flying and fighting skills. This is seen with countless situations including: she was able to pick up & throw Shiro (a massive man in his own right) in the first season, pull Zethrid (a massive alien woman herself) across the floor using her whip (the wonder woman we all deserve) in this season, her saying that the gladiator simulation that the paladins first fought was fit for an altean child & therefore implying that she herself could easily beat smth that beat them all -including Shiro & Keith (who’re seen as talented fighters themselves)-, she is always seen flying/fighting with the castle, & she showed her fighting skills when she faced Haggar in s2.

Moreover, if not for her unfamiliarity with personally flying the lions & her own anxieties over being good enough to live up to the high expectations she has of herself, I don’t think she would’ve have been as all over the place her first-time flying blue.

Bring this all together and you have someone who is obviously worthy of taking up the mantle of a paladin of Voltron in terms of skill, and given that it only makes sense for her to continue to play a part in the formation of Voltron.

2) Not only is she more than just capable of being a paladin & would bring much to the team in terms of skills & knowledge, but she could also bring much to the team dynamic through her affinity to being chosen by one of the lions, as was already seen a bit in this season.

Yes, she could continue to bring much to the team through the blue lion because, like lance -and hence why it chose her, I think- she has fears & anxieties about being enough, particularly in her case, living up to her father’s legacy in several ways and this want to impress/prove herself and be a part of something bigger than herself. Qualities I would assume the blue lion looks for and connects with in some way. However, even though she is suitable for the blue lion, as the 2nd post above theorizes the blue lion would be better suited for Shiro because of it possibly being the lion all about teamwork. So assuming that is so, even though she is suited for it some ways, like Lance was, Shiro would be the best fit out of the three.

But, then the question remains if not the blue lion and I believe that she would be suited for a lion of Voltron, then which lion and what would it bring if not that?

3) Thus, I more than just support the continuation of Allura as a paladin of Voltron, but I agree with the idea of Allura bringing about -in one way or another- a 6th lion.

Allura & this lion would bring to Voltron would be more passion & emotion -as all the paladins I think do- but more specifically selflessness & openness to change. She would be the heart, soul, and consciousness of the team.

The passion & emotion I speak of is different than that of the red lion, and more like a softer counter-part. Whereas the red lion brings drive and motivation, she would bring a more focused passion to the team, a passion for a righteous cause (i.e. saving the universe & bring peace & freedom to all); and she has this almost to a fault as we saw in this season when she met the alternate universe Alteans. She brings emotion to the team through the love/other emotions that she has about her father, her lost people, the new team and all people of the universe. Moreover, this goes hand & hand with her selflessness and openness to change. We see her selflessness in her willingness to risk her life to save planets, fighting the good fight despite the odds always seeming to be impossible to beat, & removing herself from the castle when she believed she might be endangering Voltron & its mission. But the openness to change, though it may seem a bit jarring as some fans see Allura as a bit of a “racist” of sorts due to her views on the Galra, I think is key to what her lion could bring.

Allura would bring this needed quality, because, despite what the Galra have done to the universe and how that goes against her core beliefs and despite what they have taken from her personally -which is a fucking lot and even I would have a hard time not taking that personally at first/mistrusting them-, despite all of that, she was willing to struggle against her own beliefs and her own stubbornness and her own personal pain in order to not only accept Keith -who’s half Galra- as a worthy of being a paladin of Voltron and even came to see him as family, but she was willing to set aside her feelings again to also work with the BoM -who are full Galra- for the greater good (selflessness), and maybe perhaps even someday be open to trusting & forgiving the Galra in part because of her closeness/experience with Keith. Furthermore, her openness to change is also seen both in how she is diplomatic & accepting/catering to all cultures & their rituals/ways of being (seen in several instances like the Arusians, the Balmerans, and the alliance meeting to name a few) All in all, showing that she is willing and open to changing her views, despite how difficult or painful it might be for her given her history and upbringing. Which again ties into the idea of her being selfless.

3) Taking this another step further, she could also bring a lot to not only the team and therefore Voltron but, could bring more to the development of the storyline in terms of her own story arc. Or rather having her get her own lion & switching up who gets blue and black again would provide an opportunity for Allura to develop more & for the show to take the concepts of Voltron further than its predecessors.

First, realizing that Shiro is best suited for Blue but she is still vital to Voltron and therefore seeking out & finding/creating this 6th lion bring a lot. And even that would require her to develop more of the qualities I stated the lion may have. Moreover, because she is a direct descendent of the very man who engineered the robots that came together to form Voltron, she perhaps has an affinity by blood of how to engineer a new lionbot for Voltron if there isn’t a 6th already, and could thus bring that to the storyline of how Voltron grows and this could also show a more technical intelligence side of her. Taking what her father built & pushing it further to fully realize his dream. Perhaps this will happen when there is a time when Voltron is falling apart/separated -perhaps due to a combo of the conflict between Shiro & Keith now happening and Lotor stirring things up and other stuff to come- and she steps up to help reinvigorate and steer Voltron back towards its true purpose.

Finally, some smaller more miscellaneous reasons for Allura gaining a 6th lionbot, are that as it was pointed out in the 1st linked post I mentioned above the 6th lion could fit right in the middle of Voltron -playing into the idea of Allura as the physical heart of Voltron- as the original Voltron had an ornate chest piece that many fans have lamented the loss of. And, jumping off of the idea of taking Voltron further, by bringing in another lion, Voltron would be therefore more powerful & capable of carrying out its mission.

As much as I really like this theory of Allura & a 6th lion bot, I’ll admit it is all dependent on some shaky evidence. That the blue lion is in fact better suited for no one else than her, that there could be a 6th lion bot out there or that she could/would make one, or maybe perhaps the blue lion is suited for all the things I have recognized in her that I thought a 6th lionbot would help her bring as we still don’t know much about the blue lion.

Ultimate Simple Keto Starting Guide

The hardest thing to do with anything new, is to start, that is including any kind of diet. There is a lot of information out there… Recipes, guides, videos, suggestions, transformations and many, many more sources of good and not so good information. All of this can be a little daunting, especially if you have never heard of Ketogenic or low carb dieting. I can relate to that myself, as at first I was very hesitant to pull the trigger on starting this lifestyle.

I took a leap of faith and here we are some time later and I’m happy, excited, energized and getting shredded. I want to help you make the same leap but reduce the unknown by giving you a step by step breakdown of what you should eat as well as some tips to get you started. Bookmark/favourite this page, so you can refer back to it as this is a staple for starting Ketogenic diet.

I’m not gonna get into too much detail as I can write 15 separate articles on what Keto is and it’s benefits(link to a video) so let’s keep it simple. Ketogenic diet consists of reducing your carbohydrate intake to minimum(below 35g), ramping up the fats(around 200g) and keeping the protein moderate(around 90g). The idea is when your body doesn’t get enough carbs to fuel its functions, it fully switches to taking energy from fat, turning you into a fat burning machine 24/7. You might say “Krystian, that sounds amazing, how do I get started”. Let me give a list of must have foods on Keto diet as well as some of the ones that I tend to avoid.

Meats:

This is the first section where it flips old fashion low fat diets on their heads. When choosing a meat you want to look for ones that have high percentage of fat.

Best ones include:

All sorts of minced meats(pork, pork&beef, full fat beef, chicken legs)

Fatty Steaks

Pork Chops

Fish(Salmon, Mackerel, halibut a little more rare)

Bacon

Sausages(Companies tend to put sugar in some so be careful)

Meats below aren’t necessarily bad but are very low in fat and high in protein. You can still eat them but you will have to pump much more fat on the side to balance them in your meals

Meats to stay away from:

Chicken Breast

Tuna

Reduced Fat Minced Meats

Dairy:

There is a lot of conversation around dairy, as some people do not react so good to too much of ir and will actually gain weight. The only thing I can say you shouldn’t stay away from it but you should definitely use it as an addition to your meals rather than a main ingredient(moderation is key).

Cheeses(Any kind ranging from normal Gouda all the way to Brie or Camembert) Avoid flavoured cheese.

Heavy Cream

Butter

Mayonnaise

Cream Cheese

Natural Cottage Cheese

Nuts & Seeds:

These are a great source of omega-3, omega-6 fats, minerals and necessary vitamins. All around great keto snacks in moderation and an amazing addition to a salad.

Macadamia Nuts

Hazelnuts

Almonds

Sunflower kernels

Pumpkin seeds

Fats & Oils:

I would say total basic of keto diet is to have a strong foundation and these are exactly that.

Olive Oil

Coconut Oil

Avocado Oil

Macadamia Oil

MCT Oil(Test it first, some people do not react so well to these)

Custom made Fat Bombs

Fruit:

A lot of people will tell you that some specific fruit is ok but I found that they really easily knock me out of ketosis, even in small amounts so I only have a couple VERY specific that I eat

Avocadoes

Olives

Vegetables:

You gotta be careful with these as well… I’m not going to be your grandma and tell you to eat yo’ veggies. I would say anything that grows above the ground you should be safe with but even then I have my safe list which I refer to.

Cabbage

Cauliflower

Broccoli

Spinach

Kale

Tomato(Really watch how much)

Onion(same here)

Green Bell Peppers(aaand here)

Beverages & Drinks:

I like to keep this really simple, but I know some people do need some other flavors in their lives. Here is a list of keto safe drinks:

WATER

Broths

Flavored Water(Sugar free little squidgy flavorers)

Tea

Coffee

Coconut/Almond milks(moderation)

Sauces & Condiments:

I tend to stay away from sauces, as there aren’t that many sugar free here, where I live. Nevertheless there are some I can recommend, but always be on guard of what it says on the back if the label.

Salad Dressings(Choose low carb, fatty ones like ranch or caesar)

Yellow Mustard(Moderation)

No sugar ketchup(Moderation)

Please stay away from sweeteners. They are not necessary�� you are trying to get rid of sugar in your diet, not exchange it with something else.

How I prepare my meal(Typical day of eating)

Probably going to be the most useful part for you. You might have the ingredients but what the heck to you do with them? I 100% recommend to KEEP IT SIMPLE, especially at the beginning. You do not need all of those fancy recipes or keto friendly versions of high carb foods. You wanna keep it as simple as possible so you don't spend 5 hours a day in the kitchen.

Before breakfast/Pre morning workout:

Every morning, no matter if I’m going to the gym or not I’m having my “Coffee of the gods”. Some people call it bulletproof, some just call it keto coffee. Basically what we are looking at is:

Black coffee

15g of Butter

3tbsp of Heavy whipping cream

15g Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

All of those ingredients are blended together in a blender to give you a really nice energy boost you need in the morning. That baby is around 44g of fat, 1g of carbs and 1g of protein. It is an equivalent of having a pre workout supplement, but rather than pumping sugar into your body, you are giving it a healthy portion of fat to function off. This will usually be enough for me for good 3-5 hours.

Breakfast:

Now you will see exactly what I mean by keeping it simple. I will usually have breakfast post workout or just whenever I will feel hungry(on my rest days). This usually consists off:

3 scrambled Eggs

50g of chopped Tomatoes

30g of chopped Onions

30g of grated Gouda Cheese

60g of some source of meat(Usually it is some kind of sausage or bacon)

20-30g of Mayonnaise

This delicious and beautiful breakfast adds up to around 6g of carbs, 56g of fat and 35g of protein. Notice how simple it is! I scramble some eggs, and pretty much just throw the rest of the ingredient on top. Remember to add salt(more on this later)!

Lunch:

There isn’t like a set in stone lunch, I will usually have whatever I crave from fats in moderation. Sometimes I have bread-less sandwich:

2 leafs of Chinese Cabbage

30g of Salami Ham

30g of Sliced Cheese

20g of Mayonnaise

Or I might have some peanut butter(unsweetened) with some nuts or other snack. It really depends on the day. The above sandwich adds up to 1g carbs, 29g of fat and 14g of protein.

Dinner:

I keep it simple with dinner also but I have a little blueprint for making a nutritious dinner. I’ll try to explain it the best I can:

1 Avocado

200g of any Meat mentioned in recommended meats above

100g of some vegetable, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, kale… you name it

Then if I need to fill macros I’m gonna add whatever will fill them best. I could go Olives, piece of chicken with a bunch of mayo or cheese.

Depending on what you pick and choose, you will end up different macros but I’m always aiming for the highest number to be fat.

Snacks:

Everyone is different but I will generally only snack when I either need to fill my macros after all the meals(mainly fat), when I’m away and I can’t get a meal in or I’m just super hungry. I usually treat my lunch as kind of a snack, I guess that is the reason I snack very rarely. When I do:

50g Sunflower seed kernels

1 Fat Bomb

When eating sunflower kernels we are looking at 26g of fat, 5g of carbs and 10g of protein. My own fat bombs(very simple, I’ll share how to make them soon) have 10g of fat and 1g of protein per bomb.

These right here, are only guidelines… Keep it simple, pick and choose from the list of keto friendly foods and make up some easy meal ideas. You don’t have to be an amazing cook or use all of those fancy Instagram/Pinterest recipes.

Now to finish up this Ultimate Keto Beginner Guide I’m going to share few tips on how to succeed. These are general and will work for everyone if applied correctly.

1. Remember about Electrolytes

This one is really important and was a night and day difference for me. Couple of days into the diet I started feeling lethargic, tired and like I had no energy.Naturally my body, which was still craving carbs, automatically thought that the reason was the lack of carbs but it was something completely different. I wasn’t supplying enough Potassium, Magnesium and Sodium into my system. These are crucial for balancing fluids in your body, helping supplying energy to muscles and regulating heart rhythm. I ran out to get multivitamin tablets and all of the above symptoms went away almost immediately.

2. Fat, fat, fat...

You have to get over the notion that fat makes you fat… IT DOESN’T. It’s carbs/glucose stored in your fat cells that make you bigger. Anyway, the point I’m getting to is don’t be afraid of fat, and supply plenty of it! Look at it this way, your body will now be running primarily off of it so it needs a lot of it. I know it can be hard switching after hearing for so many years that fat is bad and you need a healthy mix of nutrients.

3. Track or not to track

I would suggest tracking for the first 2 months and then trying to not track at all. After couple of months you will know how your body feels when in ketosis and you will be able to carry out your life without tracking. Remember to monitor your ketones, especially when you stop tracking to make sure you are on the right track. If not, go back to tracking for a few days and try going off again. No one expects you to track forever!

4. Stay away from any sugar or sweeteners

This is a rule of thumb. Sugar is bad but many keto-doers will still use artificial sweeteners and will successfully stay in ketosis. For me it is like a bad middle, this means you aren’t freeing yourself from sugar, but rather just settling for a different version of it. I would say stay away from sweeteners, especially when starting out to for sure break the addiction from sugar. You will later find out that you don’t need them at all anymore

5. Hydrate

This is kind of general health tip. 60% percent of our body is made out of water so it makes sense we need plenty of it. Drinking plenty of it will also promote weight loss as first of all you will lose all the excess water stored in your body but also your body will be able to more efficiently transfer nutrients around all organs.

6. Work out

If you are going to use keto as a mean to lose a bunch of unnecessary weight and you aren’t very active, I would suggest starting to work out or just implement some kind of activity into your life. I’m not saying you have to become a bodybuilder or a professional athlete, but just get yourself moving and use the energy you are supplying to your body for more than just maintaining. Again, this doesn’t have to be a heavy weight lifting routine, it could be as simple as taking your dog for a longer walk, riding your bike to work and taking the stairs rather than the elevator.

7. Change your mentality

I see a lot of people making this mistake when starting Keto. They think “I need to cut carbs” or “No carbs”... carbs, carbs, carbs. Even though they just switched to ketogenic diet, they are still thinking in terms of carbohydrates all the time. The thing about it is that your brain doesn’t understand the word “No”, so when you think “No carbs”, your mind and action will naturally gravitate towards thinking about carbs, potentially craving them or making it hard for you to withstand the urge. Rather than thinking of limiting carbs, think of increasing fat intake! This is extremely helpful while shopping early on in the diet. Whenever I walk into a grocery store, I don’t think “Ok, which carbs I’m gonna avoid today”... I’m literally going to be like “Where are the fats at?!”. Switch your mentality, it will help a ton.

8. Chill out

This is another general health tip. When you stress about your job, relationship, your dieting result or anything, your body produces cortisol, which in turn causes it to go into body fat storage mode. That is bad, we don’t want that. Also stress causes you to overeat, lose sleep, have sexual problems among many others. Calm mind and a good diet go hand to hand so get meditating or do something that chills you out.

Here we are, an extensive look at starting a simple(the way it is supposed to be) ketogenic diet. Hopefully my list of foods, super easy recipes, as well as some starting tips will help you on your journey or make it easier to make your first step into the healthy keto world.

OC or fandom?: Both normally, but for now i’m only doing fandom settings. ( I very much enjoy Canon worlds with OCs included). That in mind it’s better for me to figure out what we’re doing first, then I can let you know if i’m familiar with the setting, or if i’d like to play any characters. If RPing smut, are you of legal age in your country?: Yes. i’m in my late 20s, and if this winds up being included. I ask that my writing partner be at least 21-22+, (the closer to my age or being around my age would be more ideal, but I won’t reject replies outright! just please be at least the number stated and be willing to state your age.) And if you’re under 18 please don’t contact me. What characters do you have/play?: Oh geez. Is So Damn Many a number? i’ve got a lot when it comes to OCs, and still more who are availiable but haven’t been put up yet. For canons, it’s better to just ask me. I also tend to make a character specifically for a fandom or original setting, if I don’t already have a suitable one to drop in there. What characters would you like to play against?: Most types are fine. If we’re talking OCs I would love to play against characters who are cheeky and charming… without having the social skills of a bottle of siracha to the eye. (Jerk Sue/Stu) Or to get a sort of rivalry going where our characters are motivated by eachother to keep getting better. Other than that It often depends on the setting and again most types are fine, but I am very, very picky with bad-attitude characters. Mainly because a lot of my OCs simply aren’t going to stand for that for very long and neither am I without good reason, unless you want something mutually antagonistic but !only! if it’s a two way street. I’m open to hearing details on this. Preferred rp medium: Email. I can also do tumblr but it depends on what goes down. If i’m comfortable enough with you I may give you my personal email for chatting or plotting purposes -but I only rp through either tumblr, or email. Any additional notes: Yes! Let’s get this outta the way right now. If there’s plans for romance then I am cool with F/M, M/M or F/F. But as far as F/M goes, gender fixed roleplayers need not apply. Going on that note? I am >not< here to play the top to your bottom. fixed dom/sub dynamics will only get me to burn you. Worse if your character’s this kind of sub. I play switches and I >expect< the same of my writing partners. That’s the price of admission for this, and agreeing to this but then choosing not to honour it will only make me assume you’re using me, which will make me resent you and drop the rp without notifying you. This is because I tended to have a hard time saying no in the past so this sort of thing has happened to me twice already, and i’m not gonna have it happen a third time. So no switches = no smut. You push this or try to get any of this out of me? You get burned or ghosted. Or both. Not sorry. (Mind there are also other, completely unrelated dealbreaking offenses that will make me drop thread, feel free to ask me for details. Finally, if i’ve dropped thread on you in the past i’m up for talking about it. That entirely depends on a case basis, however. Other things: Be willing to help brainstorm and carry the plot! I can never stress this one enough. Plotting out character specific events is neat and all, but I also want someone who’s going to help add to the overarching story and keep it believable. I also don’t want to be the only person between us actually moving the plot along in my posts or playing believable characters for the setting. If I feel that that’s what’s going on, i’ll tell you upfront, but if you keep it up then it’s a one-way ticket to ghost town. Also! If you feel that i’m dragging my feet on the plot please absolutely feel free to call me on it, I want our stories to be 100% shared effort! How about ships?: I am not a one ship sailor! I tend to find potential in many different combinations, and I like being able to express that freedom. That being said, if it’s a ship I ride (which is likely), I may be up for playing one of the mentioned characters but it depends and it’s not going to be something instant. I am also totally up for polyships! and ships of other types as well. (rivals, bffs, etc) My port is big! Speaking of which? Canons, OCs and all that jazz?: Many people want to be able to play thier OCs alongside/against a Canon, and hey, i’m no different. So I ask that if I am able to play a Canon for your OC to meet, that you do the same for me.
