even gets left behind on the tardis more often than they’d like because it turns out having a coughing fit during a highly dangerous outing because you got sneezed on three planets ago and have been sick with it the past three weeks is not. great.

cowboy is back at from the vet. he has been upgraded to "too bad at the vet not to come in unmedicated" so that sucks
#he probably has asthma#if we do chest x-rays it will cost us a million dollars#but they won't give us an inhaler unless he has the chest x-rays#let's hope our midyear bonus comes in before the next appointment =-=#the vet touts itself as “fear free” which is like#they won't do anything if the animal is too upset#which is ultimately good#but it also means if we don't do a good enough job pacifying him then it will have been a wasted trip#i think#it could just be marketing#also i learned that cat asthma is really allergenic bronchitis#so he's allergic to like. dust or something#like us!#like parent like pet

me, every time i get sick: please please please let this be the one time i just have a cold for a few days
the infection moving into my lungs after two days, every single time: did someone call for bronchitis? I'm gonna be here for at least a month. maybe two :)
#whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy#i had rsv as a child and then after that every single time i got sick it would move into my chest#even when my brother and i got the exact same bug i was sick for twice as long#and it was always so bad that i ended up having to do nebulizer treatments and/or take steroids#and the steroids made me mean as FUCK#and then when i got into my adult years they stopped doing those treatments and just throw cough suppressants at me that don't work#so like clockwork every cold turns into bronchitis after 2 days#i go into the doctor within a week#they give me a cough suppressant that doesn't work#by week 2 or 3 the nonstop coughing has made my chest so tight that every breathe hurts and i cough so hard that im constantly puking#so i end up in the urgent care or e.r where they tell me there's nothing they can do for my cough but have i tried tea with honey?#and this goes on anywhere from one to two months of misery#im gonna miss so much fucking work. godDAMNIT#text post

#got to sub for my old theater teacher and the kids were like YO!!!! AGAIN!!! HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS 😭😭😭🌋🌋🌋🌋#bc ive subbed for them in choir the past four days 😆#it's fun to build that rapport w the kids! :] and then yesterday the choir teacher had asked if I could have them#figure out their riser formation for one of the more difficult songs they're doing and well.#peace and love on the planet earth those kids were STRUGGLING 😭 but i gave them no structure or help so. what could they do#(although that is a bit out of my wheelhouse as a sub 😳)#anyways it bothered me that the choir teacher was going to come back from being sick + have a whole lotta nothing SO. i spent my whole day#thinking about the dynamics of that group and which parts of the song challenged which voice parts + how confidently each section sang#etc etc. and i made a little diagram for her so she could at least have one thing to throw at the wall today 🥲#so! i went to check on her in between classes bc she's fighting bronchitis and i was worried about her. well! come to find out my#diagram was really helpful and the girls liked how it felt in those spots + are going to stick with it for concert! huzzah 😁🍻#i also got to interrogate the choir teacher on what uni's she recommends and ‼️‼️ holy shit mama has the scoop!!! we spent 20 minutes#talking about it at least 😇 anyways. fighting the urge to go to the private uni she and the other choir teachers in my lineage went to....#have i performed at that school many times and love the environment of their program? yes. but you have to fight a WAR for their scholarship#and they basically never give full-rides for music 🥲 then there's another private uni w an excellent musical theater program that would#give me a lot of experience in that vein BUT money is so hard already so 🥴🥴🥴#there's another school where you can get a bme and fast-track into their graduate conducting program which ‼️‼️#but ALSO. there's another school with an opera program 👀👀 which i would kill to study#i need to make an excel sheet respectfully. so much to consider 🙈🙈🙈#mostly i just want to be. as well-rounded as possible before i get in the classroom so i can have this same conversation w my own students#school stuff aside!! i just got out of our pre-season for the con i work at and RAHH ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️#our team is so. 🌅🌅🌅❣️💖 i love everyone so much we are a little machine and i missed everyone a lot :] very excited for the changes we're#making this year!!#sriracha.txt

I got covid for the second time probably on sunday though it wasn’t confirmed until monday, but since then certain things have tasted differently, though I'm hoping it's just the head-cold symptoms that are messing with my sinuses that's doing it, and that it will go back to normal after the cold symptoms pass. But so far it's only very few things that taste different and I'm so glad I haven't completely lost my sense of taste or anything x.x
#also I'm not even that snotty at all like I can still breathe through my nose most of the time (even though I do also sometimes struggle to#catch my breath for some reason even though I'm also not coughing that much really) but pretty much IMMEDIATELY when I got covid my voice#has gotten SUPER nasally as if I was fully congested which is so weird to me because I'M NOT?? Covid what are you doing to my body this time#i will say while i do have cold like symptoms including a sporadic mild fever so far this bout of covid is much better than last time#like at this point the first time I had covid I had trouble breathing constantly and I was so dizzy and had such bad vertigo that i could#barely walk or be upright and the room was spinning even when i was lying down (which was almost always)#it's much milder this time i think#so far at least 👀#hopefully this time i wont immediately get hit with bronchitis after it passes again#anyway this sucks wash your hands folks and wear a mask if you're sick and have to leave the house#this isnt fun#covid#my post#corona virus

Hate that I've been sick this whole dang month so far. Every time I'm on the phone with my Father, I feel so out of breath trying to say short ass sentences. Poor guy probably thinks I have Tuberculosis or something.

had a full on mental breakdown on monday (and a full on therapy sesh with my voice teacher bless her heart) and another yesterday morning before the funeral because i was gonna sing at the mass and my voice wasn't working like At All so obv the only possible explanation was that i am useless and should kms. turns out i have bronchitis 🤡
#i DID sing tho. in a lower key but still. barely made it. clung to that pitiful high g like my life depended on it lol#and it was awful to me but all the old people in the church didnt know any better so they liked it and ig my grandma would have liked it too#so like whatever. the problem is on saturday i have to sing the fucking norma duet. and the girl who normally sung norma's part#said she has a rehearsal that day in a different city and fucked off into oblivion#so now they're taking a different girl who already knew adalgisa's part and making ME do norma 💀#and i only got the info last week. and i have fucking bronchitis. im gonna kill myself in front of everyone there.#ANYWAY
