Got bit by the spring cleaning bug yesterday and today

I went into my room yesterday afternoon looking for something, opened a drawer, and suddenly realized: there is so much shit in here I don’t need. And I started removing it from the drawer. Overcome with the spirit of it, I swept through all of my clothing drawers, doing the Marie Kondo method (took everything out and only put back in what I want to keep). Got interrupted by the concert but picked it back up today, going through my closets. It felt so good to say, “does this fit? If it fits, will I actually wear it?” and get rid of everything that doesn’t meet those criteria. I must’ve had 15 grocery bags full of clothes plus a trash bag full of coats.

Took everything to goodwill and succumbed to going into the store - found some button-ups that should do nicely at work 🤞

Idk how me, a broad and chubby woman from a long line of broad and chubby women, and my husband, an average-height man from long lines of very tiny women and very average men, managed to produce a child so exceptionally tall, long, & lean that she can't wear store-bought clothes anymore without alteration. sometimes a little crumb of something will fall between my tits and in an attempt of getting it out I will shake my top and sometimes i will be unfortunate enough that the little crumb will get in my pants too and usually it will get out like that. today it got inside my sock. how

Bought a pair of pants at goodwill earlier but all the ones I've been to have had their changing rooms closed the whole pandemic so couldn't try them on... did pull out my measuring tape that's on my keys and they were pretty much my size, but I have discovered that while they would fit well if they had a normal waistband, they actually have a stretchy waistband (like, strip of elastic sewn the whole way around) and thus are so big that they're falling off me, because their own weight kind of pulls them down so that the cuffs drag on the ground. Unclear if they're intended to be high waisted and just too big or for someone bigger in all dimensions than I am, but not the point.

I've been trying to figure out how to fix this, bc they're very comfy. I kinda wish I could just take out the elastic and do a drawstring but there's 2 buttons and a zipper that would definitely complicate things. Could also wear a belt, if I had one and if they weren't the worst sensory experience since not wearing socks.

secondhand shopping online is such a mixed bag quite literally. i ordered five pairs of pants cause i know finding ones that fit is really difficult and ONE pair was not too small. they are a little too big to be honest and i like them the least out of all of them but i can at least close the zipper. i also bought one basic shirt which fits well and i like and one bag that looked cool in pictures but is kind of ugly as hell irl and one pair of sunglasses which are also kinda ugly and a coat WHICH IS THE COOLEST BEST THING I’VE BOUGHT IN FOREVER I LOVE IT SO MUCH. i know ordering clothes with the intention of trying them on at home and sending the ones u don’t like back isn’t ideal either but i don’t really know how else to find jeans that fit without going to like either h&m or someplace a lot more expensive. trying on jeans in an actual thrift store is almost as horrible as it is difficult finding ones in your supposed size there :(

i was telling my gf how this year for some reason ive lost a lot of my hips/ ass/ thighs like maybe the second weight shift ive had with hrt but she was like its probably more obvious to me so i wore my tightest jeans and she was like Dude Where Did Your Ass Go like exactly my point
