Got bit by the spring cleaning bug yesterday and today

I went into my room yesterday afternoon looking for something, opened a drawer, and suddenly realized: there is so much shit in here I don’t need. And I started removing it from the drawer. Overcome with the spirit of it, I swept through all of my clothing drawers, doing the Marie Kondo method (took everything out and only put back in what I want to keep). Got interrupted by the concert but picked it back up today, going through my closets. It felt so good to say, “does this fit? If it fits, will I actually wear it?” and get rid of everything that doesn’t meet those criteria. I must’ve had 15 grocery bags full of clothes plus a trash bag full of coats.

Took everything to goodwill and succumbed to going into the store - found some button-ups that should do nicely at work 🤞

What was the last thing you bought at a store? When did you buy this? I went to a Korean mart last week to get a BTS Chilsung Cider and a BTS Hot Brew lmao. Just one of each since I had blown out my budget on other merch + my birthday dinner. I’ll complete my collection for both some other time.

What noises in the room you’re in, do you hear at the moment? I’m at the rooftop and I can hear an airplane flying above me at the moment. I also have music playing.

What color is the kitchen in the house you’re in, painted? The walls are mostly white but it also has some peach-ish tiles by the sink and water dispenser.

Do you live in a town where basically everyone knows everyone else? Nah. That would obviously be the case for residential subdivisions, but not in the town/city I live in. Way too big/populated.

When was the last time you or someone else in your family bought a vehicle? I think it was in 2017 when we got the Vitara? We sold it last year though.

Are your grandparents the kind who are very protective of you? Not so much. They know I can handle myself and that I tend to be independent, so they don’t really coddle me. They will always make sure I eat plenty whenever I come over, though.

When was the last time you had any kind of chips? What kind were they? Piattoooooos. 1: when you have cereal, do you have more milk than cereal or more cereal than milk? >> I don’t eat cereal anymore, but from what I can remember, I didn’t really like having a lot of milk in the bowl.

Sorry this is a bit late, babe! I wanted to wait til I had the opportunity to answer all these uninterrupted!

1. coffee mugs, teacups, wine glasses, water bottles, or soda cans?

Coffee mugs! tbh I drink tea out of coffee mugs because who actually uses teacups? I mean my grandma has tons and I would use them, but the handles are so tiny and I am v clumsy so it scares me.

2. chocolate bars or lollipops?

Chocolate bars!!! I’m too impatient for lollipops and plus they always get coated in saliva which just...drips down my chin since my mouth is already full.

3. bubblegum or cotton candy?

Bubblegum! I love cotton candy but I can only handle a bit at a time tbh. Also I haven’t had bubblegum in almost two years bc of braces and I miss it so much I can’t wait to have it again.

4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?

Okay, so even though I’ve always been homeschooled, when I was in elementary school we did this program with a ton of other homeschoolers where you could take actual classes and stuff. My teachers always said I was quiet and focused and studious, and you could always count on me to be lecturing everyone else on the instructions if they hadn’t been paying attention. When was the last time you were surprised, in a pleasant way? Wednesday when Bea had food delivered to my house. One of our clients was hosting a roundtable session and our task was to order food to be delivered to the attendees’ house, and it turns out she snuck in an order for me as well. 

It was super touching and I tried to do a nice deed yesterday by getting food for her as well; but as I mentioned on my previous survey, I got paired with a scammer delivery guy instead who ended up stealing my order...that I already paid for... :( It was such a flop and I ended up having to give away the surprise to Bea since I had to check if she received it, and that’s when I learned she never got anything. I’ll try again next week or whenever I get my money refunded, hahaha.

Was there anything that you planned to do today, but didn't? It’s only 7:06 AM so I’ll refer to my plans yesterday instead – I wanted to continue working on a Google Slides presentation by nighttime, but I was so tired from my shift yesterday and even got a migraine that I never got around to it. Is there any advice you have been given, that sticks in your mind? “Let your healing take time,” from Andi. He also accompanied it the advice with an anecdote about this basketball player who insisted on playing even while he was still dealing with an injury, and playing only aggravated that injury so he was forced to sit out for an even longer time than what was initially set for him. That was really helpful and I keep it close to me to this day.

What's the nicest advice you have ever been given about love/relationships? Know when it’s enough and when to leave, and be kind to yourself.

I tried watching it a couple of weeks ago but I noped out as soon as I heard how poppish the theme song was. I’ve always thought it was a serious drama show but it turned out to have so many teen show elements to it that I was definitely taken aback. The script and some of the acting also kind of sucked, so that was a letdown.

Do you own any T-shirts with brand logos on them? Yes, my dad got me a Vegemite shirt from his last contract abroad hahah. He was staying in Australia and I asked him to get a jar of Vegemite so I can finally have a taste, but I think he was scared that I’d hate it and end up throwing out the whole jar so he just got me a shirt instead lol. I’ve also got a Nike shirt somewhere in my closet.
