BRUCE WAYNE — quality time ( && trust. )

i don't think bruce would be a very obvious boyfriend, especially in the public eye. he's a very private person; i mean, he's managed to keep his secret identity just as it is for years now (if we exclude arkham canon lol). for him, trust is something very important. he needs to be able to know and feel that you trust him, and that you won't tell anyone else his secrets so that he can fully trust you. when he does trust you completely, he will tell you about his secret identity, and feel able to express a more emotional side of him.

as well as trust, his main love language would definitely be quality time. as i said, he prefers a private, calm relationship, and he likes doing things that are exclusive and important to the two of you; something where you can just bask in the essence of each other, and talk about your days, or share secrets you've never told anybody else. or even if either of you have had a long day and don't feel like talking, he'll gladly sit with you in silence and watch a movie you both enjoy (or even one that he isn't too fond of, but knows you love, so he'll push through it just for you).

dick is an easy guy to impress, and once you have him, he's like putty in your arms. when he's in love, he never wants to let that person go, and quite literally is almost always clinging onto them in some way. he's definitely one for physical affection, but is also conscious of boundaries. at home, away from prying eyes, he is attached to your hip, your essence completely comforting him; but in public, he knows better than to overwhelm with touch, but will opt for holding your hand if that's what you're comfortable with.

when he's in love, not only does dick want to always be with that person, he also is conscious that he's showing his love in a way that is clear to them. he never ever wants them to doubt his love, and so he shows acts of service that won't get mistaken. dick is very deliberate with his actions, and makes mental notes of things you like and don't like, so he knows you'll be happy with everything he does for you.

JASON TODD — words of affirmation.

although many iterations of jason in the fanon world see him as a person who adores physical affection, i feel that he would actually be more opposed to physical affection. i think he's been through a lot, and actually physical affection could be quite triggering for him, too overwhelming. instead, i think he would appreciate words of affirmation. when he pays someone a compliment, he truly means it, and often says things to show his love instead of through grand actions. and if someone pays him a compliment, especially a love interest, he knows it's genuine, because people don't ever give him compliments. words mean a lot to him, out of anger, out of love; they all mean something.

words that mean a lot to him : "i'm so proud of you" , "no one makes me as happy as you do" , "i appreciate you so much" , "i trust you" , "thank you for always listening to me"

i saw somewhere that said tim puts his all into everything he does, eager to prove himself somehow, and i think that even follows through to his (romantic) relationships, which is why he opts for meaningful acts of service to show his love. i don't see him being too big on physical touch, but not minding it, and he appreciates little gifts, but is always one to go above and beyond for someone he loves. due to the way he became robin, he feels some sort of guilt, and wants to show that it wasn't a decision made in vain, so he really pushes himself to his limits. in a relationship, he doesn't push himself to his limits per se, but he can sometimes outdo himself.

things he does to show his love : running your errands for you if you're busy , trying (and sometimes failing) to make a romantic dinner for the two of you, but sometimes just turning to uber eats , booking fun activities for you to do when you're both free, like paintball or pottery painting etc

acts that he appreciates : being made a packed lunch, or being brought one of his favourite snacks , being run a bath after a long day/patrol shift , booking out days in your month to spend with him , memorising his schedule

BARBARA GORDON — quality time ( && listening. )

barbara, although she can be upbeat with friends, takes some time to allow the walls around her to thaw. she probably isn't big on physical touch, partly due to trauma and partly due to simply preference, but adores quality time with loved ones. she really enjoys just being in the presence of those she loves, talking about interests or each other's day, or even just those really specific conversations neither of you are too sure how they began. but she loves those conversations the most, where you say something and she listens because you're really pouring your heart out here, and she reciprocates by opening up something sensitive about herself.

her favourite ways to spend quality time : watching movies and tv shows together, and then talking about them over a cup of hot chocolate the next day , doing work side by side, just the fact that you're together makes her work to a better standard , laying in bed late at night just talking

DUKE THOMAS — giving && receiving gifts.

duke is a really lovely guy, and is very thoughtful when picking out gifts. he is attentive to your interests and makes sure to remember everything you like and dislike; so that when he's out and about, if he sees something that he knows you'll like, he'll get it, no thoughts. not only does he shamelessly buy you things, if he gets the time, he'll even make some cute handmade trinkets just for you, and they're even more special because he thought the thought and then made it, just for you.

obviously his actions can't just go unreciprocated, so he also like receiving gifts as well, but would never say it, as he'd feel guilty, so he just hopes you'll do it. and when you do, well, he couldn't be happier. he adores that you remember his interests, or remember that thing he said he wanted a few weeks ago, or even a few months if his birthday is coming up. he's always grateful for anything he gets, and always gets you something in return.

things he likes to give : photo albums of cute moments you shared , little trinkets that reminded him of you , plushies he won at the arcade or carnival , flowers when he comes home after a long day because he wants to make up for being a little late

STEPHANIE BROWN — physical touch.

this girl is just a bundle of joy, really, especially when it comes to you, and getting to spend time with you. at the beginning of a relationship, she is practically aching to cling to you all the time, but is aware that physical affection may be a bit awkward. it's not her fault she likes you so much! but as the relationship strengthens and continues, she'll slowly ease into her true clinginess. her love language would be a mix of physical touch and quality time, but leaning more towards physical touch, because as you spend time together she likes to be in contact with you somehow.

when she can, cassandra will show you, rather than tell you that she cares. it's a lot easier for her than getting all sappy with her words. so she sticks to acts of service, usually small, but still meaningful. she can get quite shy when expressing her emotions, so i don't think she would go above and beyond, but if she did something more obviously meaningful, she would try to act nonchalant about it.

Re: John being demi - don’t you think it’s possible he had sex because that’s what was expected of him? His age, lifestyle, etc. Especially because of his self-destructive tendencies and not always acting on how he truly feels. Or acting in a way that doesn’t express how he truly feels - i.e. Barcelona. He could have easily slept with Yoko early on, with her throwing herself at him but it wasn’t until correspondence and a deeper connection did he engage sexually. Not to mention him not wanting to have sex with men later in life because he couldn’t find one he connected with in that way. To me even the lyric “My love will turn you on” - is revealing.

If you want to interpret John Lennon as demisexual then you certainly can and I can't and won't stop you. But since you're asking me directly my answer is just a flat "no." John was sexually attracted to women so he slept with them. He was conventional that way. He was also hooking up with Yoko soon after Indica, he did not wait until the night he took LSD with her and recorded the sex tape.

You need to remember the cultural climate John existed in. It was "expected" of John to get married to a woman, settle down with her, have children, hold a steady uninspiring job, and then die at 70 with a gold pocket watch in his waistcoat without ever standing out from the crowd or doing anything that would express his individuality and personal needs. These were the stultifying expectations John grew up under and he hated it.

The Beatles kept their orgies secret because it would have destroyed them as a band if it got out that they were nailing groupies, this is the exact OPPOSITE of it being "expected" of them to have sex with lots of women.

The performative aspect was the groupies expectation of John to act like Beatle John while he was thrusting. That doesn't mean John disliked it or was carrying out an act he found distasteful for the sake of expectations. And remember: John kept posters of Bridget Bardot and Elvis Presley in his bedroom at Mendips because he was jerkin' it to their images. He only had a parasocial fanboy relationship with them but he was deeply sexually attracted to both. This is the opposite of demisexuality which requires a personal connection of some kind.

like sex was a way for John to connect with human beings and I wonder if it was the only way he could. that's not to say he couldn't fall in love if he met people but he had to keep his connections shallow as a matter of survival, he wasn't able to form those relationships easily and when he did connect to others it was because they pursued him.

Cynthia was the aggressor in her relationship with John, he liked her but he didn't pay attention to her until she dyed her hair blonde to catch his eye. Paul was super down bad. Yoko stalked him.

Otherwise even as a teenager John's relationships were strictly about sex, not romantic love, and he wasn't interested in romantic love until Paul and art school came into his life.

This is the exact opposite of demisexuality. John could form personal relationships and he could fall in love with people but when he did, he seemed to back away from them sexually. If we count Paul as one of John's lovers (and I do) then we see this happen to where John broke it off with Paul to pursue someone else physically (in this case Yoko.) John liked using sex as a way to connect with others but the moment genuine feelings got involved he got skittish. Note that he initially was planning to buy a house with May Pang but then he went back to Yoko when the Montauk plans began solidifying. John was certainly attracted to May Pang and he certainly had a personal connection with her but when that started getting a little too real and too deep, then he left her and would only hook up with her occasionally in controlled environments where he could ghost her easily afterwards.

The same thing happened with Yoko: after Sean was born, she and John stopped having sex and she sent him to the massage parlors to avoid dealing with him.

And don't forget how John's relationship with May Pang started: Yoko hired May Pang to be John's mistress. May was paid by Yoko to have sex with John and to keep him within Yoko's reach while they were in Los Angeles, what with Yoko's daily phone calls. May did fall in love with John but John knew that May was a business asset controlled by his wife and that she was being paid to never leave him. This was the foundation of their affection for each other. When May and John went back to New York and started looking for houses in Montauk, John opted to go back to Yoko for her smoking cure and came back ready to leave May Pang, aka the relationship with May Pang was becoming too real and too deeply rooted in actual Love (with that capital L) that meant May would no longer be forced to stay with John due to receiving a salary from Yoko Ono.

What seems to be more of a pattern in his life is that he was very wary of forming personal connections with others, when they did form it was because the second person pursued him vigorously, and then he had a saddening tendency to leave once his love with that second person began to develop into a deep, long lasting adult relationship. If anything, John seemed to use sex as a way to keep himself hidden and to stop forming connections with others because the moment he had sex with someone he could safely label them "disposable" which is exactly what he did with Paul and May despite his intense connections with both of them and the fact that he was sexually intimate with both of them.

John seemed to fear love and the responsibilities and ecstasies that it brings. This is not demisexuality as I understand it and I simply cannot agree with the assertion that John was demisexual.

He had to go out of town for a few days, maybe two weeks. The Alpha Legionary doesn't tell his human though, he knows she will worry. One of his brothers soon appear at the door. It's late at night, she won't hear as he lets him in and starts showing his brother around the house. It's weird and some part of him is a little jealous, but he knows that sharing his human with some of his brothers that he is closest with will ensure she'll be better protected.

One day he will reveal the truth to her, for now this will be just yet another secret of Alpha Legion. A quick summary of what he usually does for his human and her likes and dislikes, then he's off. He can't resist a few glances back at the apartment block but relaxes as he sees the silhouette of his brother moving about the apartment. She will be in good hands.

When you woke up the next day, you can't help but feel like something is... off. You glance at your Alpha Legionary who's currently simply helping with the dishes. You know, Yuuji never seemed to dislike Mei in canon—but also he's Yuuji. It's kind of a miracle he disliked (? A little up for debate) Sukuna. But at the same time, I felt like Entombed Yuuji would probably be a little taken aback by her lack of personal space and her lack of boundaries, so I'm glad the scene worked out. Riko really is precious though! She and Yuuji have a bit of an awkward starting place, so their friendship won't necessarily be fast, but it'll be deep.

(If you're interested in trade secrets, here's a little spoiler—her technique trades one life for another, but the person pulled through dimensions is someone that has the potential to fulfill the same kind of role in her life as the person that had to die to bring them along.)

Let's see... my opinion on your muses/portrayals... can't speak on portrayals because they're all OCs, so it's not like I can judge portrayals based off accuracy by any means, but I certainly can say a thing or two about the characters themselves-- I can try to, anyways.

From recollection, the muses of yours that have appeared on my blog are: Xiao Yao, Dalbar, Miceli, and Luca in order of least interaction to the most.

Xiao Yao isn't on your current roster list, and this was like 4 years ago so unfortunately I don't really remember much about him aside from the fact that he was tall and blond so Haru mistook him for Dino from behind kekeke.

Dalbar seems to be a cute lil dude. A lil quiet, but I do have a certain soft spot for that //motions to some of her silent/less talkative muses. He gave me the feel of an obedient guard/attack dog or something. I feel like he's just someone who would grow on me because like-- he might be the same height as me, and he just seems to be a good natured lil dude. Ignore the fact he's an assassin, HE GUD BOI!

Miceli-- my immediate thought when I think about him is: GRRRRRRR what kind of evollll will he invoke on Haru this time? Is he going to be mean to her and say something sarcastic? Maybe he'll just piss her off somehow gr grrrrrrr. Of course, this isn't to mean that I dislike him, I find him fun. It's amusing having someone who irritates Haru in the Varia verse- and that's mostly anyone. Miceli is starting to grow on her though with the repeated interactions and such. He may be rude to her at times, by saying sarcastic things, but he has moments of showing some level of interest/concern for her? Though, Haru can tell that he's not really interested in her in a way that matters. She gets the feel that he has interest in the way that a scientist does when performing an experiment and something goes wrong and he goes ??? I can relate. //Sad and annoyed chemist noises. As his lil bio blurb says, he is a mysterious one, and the air of his mystery is maintained well. It's a lil harder for me to get a grasp on him as a character, and I think that's what makes it interesting and yet difficult to write with him at times, as I'm not really sure who he is to understand him kekekek. A fun puzzle!

Luca, MY SWEET BOI. WHO I BASICALLY HAVE PARTIAL CUSTODY OVER AT THIS POINT. I adore him very much. MY LIL BBUUUUU!!!! I do know that he's a pretty complex kinda guy and that he has his... issues, but he does do his best! He's been through things and I just want to give him a BIIIIIG hug! He's not allowed to get hurt! The only kinda pain I'll accept is forehead flicks and 'oh look I just killed Haru/Ravein because I wanna see the world burn!!!' 8D Alas... Blaise is a coward and won't let me hurt Haru/Ravein (1000% joking). I think i've seen him absolutely lose it maybe once or twice in the years that we've known each other and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Ehehe~ It's my secret aim to not only get to know him better through interactions/memes but to also make him snap again. I LOVE to see variation in behaviors, so making him snap is a treat. Of course, I still love gud boi Luca who is a pair with the other 'dumber' Ravein. Haru truly has so much to deal with whenever the trio gets together kekw. He is the only one aside from Tenka's Bel and my OC Ravein that Haru feels comfortable with. She's actually affectionate towards all 3 and cares for them. Anyone else, it's just Eh- you exist and I don't really care for you much. He just has the kind of personality that meshes well enough with her that it sparks her protective instinct and the doting energy that Haru has to have regardless of the verse. I love him for that.

We've known each other for years now and though interactions have been on and off during those years, we did still talk OOC quite a bit. So, I feel like, I'd be comfortable in saying yeeeee we friends outside of RPC.

Time differences are truly the bane, however. We both work, and with the field that you're in, it's understandable that you aren't always online or have the bandwidth to talk much.

STILL! The moments you are able to sit down and talk, you've always been just the sweetest lil bean.

I don't think I've ever admitted this to you before--- but better late than never AMIRITE? So we've been mutuals with each other for quite a while now even if it was rather on and off. From my recollection, we were mutuals but didn't really start interacting with eachother until a while into our friendship, likely due to schedules being really busy and what not.

It was also a time when you kept jumping from one blog to another blog so it was a lil hard to keep up with you at times. STILL, the main point is regardless of how many times you've jumped blogs (and you and I both know there's been a number of that over the years), you always did follow me consistently and that's always meant a lot to me.

I've hinted at things here and there in meme answers or conversations i've had with people but I've never actually sat down and spoke about it. I've come extremely close to quitting KHR RPC twice. The first time was when I first joined the RPC (back in like 2014-2015) and it was just... a time. I was feeling really discouraged and there were... incidents that occurred that really hurt me. I'd feel like such a waste of space, or that no one actually cared. If anyone did, it was because of the friends I had (I somehow got along with the Hibari's of the fandom lololol sigh).

Both of them aren't really online anymore but Emi/Emiko and Kiril were the two who I stuck around for. Both of them consistently stayed by my side and enjoyed writing with Haru. They both consistently wrote with me whenever they were able to and enjoyed indulging in my shenanigans. Both of them have left the KHR RPC for a while now.

I came close to leaving again like... a little bit before or at the very start of the pandemic time. We were ALL going through it, honestly. We were all struggling, but it was around that time when the KHR RPC was really really small and I'd gotten out of a really bad time with an RP group that left me with a bit of trauma that took me years to process and get over.

It was hard, because I was going through panic attacks somewhat frequently, and I would occasionally get anon hate- which obviously- isn't very conducive to me conjuring the desire to stick around.

The actual point of all this, is that you're actually one of the reasons why I stuck around. Even though you were struggling and you were having a hard time with life and feeling insecure/unwanted/unneeded/etc you were still trying. It was in a way uplifting to see the fact that you were trying hard even if things were a struggle. You would also talk to me and were in general very kind. I think around this time is where you were really jumping around blogs a lot (I think you were avoiding someone or something like that), but again you still consistently followed me on whichever blog you migrated to.

It really truly meant so much to me at the time when I was feeling so godawful. My old job really-- it was a time. I wasn't in a good place mentally and emotionally. It was you and Emi (the other Emi who is on heartsglass now) who were the reasons I stuck around the 2nd time I got REAL CLOSE to quitting RPC. It may not seem like much, but I always appreciated the fact that you both would follow me, like my OOC posts and sometimes leave replies.

It may seem like such a small and simple thing, but a lot of my OOC posts go unseen. It was quite often that I wouldn't get any likes on my OOC posts or replies. It was exceedingly rare for me to even get asks for memes. I don't think i've mentioned it really but that's the other reason why I don't like memes. Aside from the fact I have trauma associated with the inbox that i'm healing from, I have the mindset of 'no one is going to send in because I write boring responses lol why do I bother reblogging memes lolololol'

But you especially would surprise me by sheer coincidence on the days I was feeling down with a like, a reply, or a meme ask. Emi was the same. By sheer coincidence you both would be a notification on the days I'd think 'maybe I should delete because no one will notice when i'm gone'.

I've never admitted it to you both, but you both are the reasons why I stuck it through during the pandemic years when I was struggling so hard mentally. It's the small stuff that can mean the world to someone.

So whenever I'm in your replies saying that I care for you, love you, and just in general love seeing you on the dash-- EVER, I truly mean it. You're existence made a big impact on this blog by the sheer principle that you helped me have hope that I can exist on this platform and be appreciated.

This is probably the reason why I'm so attached to both Luca and Emi, because idk... I just feel like both of those OCs mean a lot to the both of you and so I just instinctively latched on. Favourite character: B'Elanna Torres, although Kathryn Janeway is a close second (I do have a Janeway-themed url, after all😌)

Second favourite character: okay, I'll talk about Janeway here! Gosh what a deeply flawed individual. She's awesome, and yes, incredibly charismatic and badass, but she's also haunted, complex, and scarily capable of hurting those closest to her (which she does. Like, a lot.) She ends up in charge of a seemingly endless mission, and she cannot afford to crack- not in front of her crew, and not even really in secret- so she begins this seven-year process of what basically amounts to dehumanising herself. Her arc is almost like a long-form merging with Voyager the ship- she is Voyager, and Voyager is her! She will protect her crew and bring them home. She will ensure they get to survive. (What happens to her? Well, she knows she can and will never be the same, but she can't and doesn't think about that right now). She made a mistake and her crew paid the price and the guilt of this eats at her every day, but she cannot afford to acknowledge it or she'll go insane. She tries so hard to stick to her principles but once she's violated a few she starts thinking of her soul as this already-corrupted thing- she knows she can live with it, so why not do something else that's a bit messed up! Better me than any of my crew, right! Like- no wonder she couldn't move on with her life once Voyager reached the Alpha Quadrant in the Endgame timeline. No wonder she had to travel back in time to die in the past. She is so changed by the events of this show that the past the only place she can truly belong. Ugh!!!! I have so many feelings about her!!

Least favourite character: I dislike voyager!Q so much I actually skip all his episodes on rewatch lmao. And I'm someone who actually quite enjoys him on TNG! He's this all-powerful all-knowing omnipotent being who could literally be off anywhere any time doing anything he wanted, and yet he chooses to keep coming back to this one starship just to flirt with the most boring man alive. He literally got kicked out of the Q Continuum for having too much of a hyperfixation on his blorbo. That's funny! And compelling! Unfortunately the Voyager writers did not understand what made this work and decided his only trait was *irritates everybody* (including the audience lol). What he and Picard had was a funny back and forth, a snarky Quodo-style "these horrible old men deserve each other" rivalry. What he and Janeway have is sexual harassment played for laughs 🙃

Favourite pairing: B7 if we're talking non-canon ships! From canon, uhhhh I guess whatever was going on between Janeway and Chakotay in 'Resolutions' & Tom/B'Elanna before they got together

Least favourite pairing: I don't know if I have one? C7 is the popular answer but I literally straight up forget it exists because it's such a small part of the show, like it doesn't even show up for reals until the finale. I'm not a fan of the way they wrote Tom/B'Elanna for basically all of S5 and S6, and the damage control they did in S7 wasn't bad imo but also felt too little too late. I also dislike Kes/Neelix, though I do think it had potential to be a really interesting breakup arc lol

Favourite moment: That scene from 'Year of Hell' where Janeway has given the order to abandon ship and everyone else is so reluctant to desert the bridge and it looks soooo banged up but she still won't abandon it.... and then Tuvok gives her that hug goodbye..... and she glances at that little gift Chakotay made for her which she didn't have the heart to recycle..... and she talks about what Voyager means to her, and why she has to go down with the ship...... my heart😭

Rating out of 10: Objectively an 8/10, I think the early seasons are GREAT and around midway through they do sort of run out of ideas thanks to their commitment to being as episodic as possible and sidelining more than half the main cast as well as refusing to let the guest cast build up or develop. The show genuinely suffers for it imo! There's a lot of wasted potential, as well as biases of the time that prevented it from reaching true heights- I also wholeheartedly think this show ruined the Borg lol, now 75% more human and 200% less intimidating! However it's also got so many positives- I adore all the main characters so much, and the premise itself gives me so many feels that in my heart it's an 11/10🥰

Absolutely love playing DAII for the first time with minimal knowledge. Like... all I know is Anders blows up the Chantry. At some point.

So I'm just wandering along Kirkwall, doing whatever quests pop up. I somehow managed to acquire Fenris at the VERY END of Act I. Like the last quest before finishing the main quest. I kept wondering when he'd show up.

Meanwhile, I've already decided to romance Anders. (Even though Fenris's voice hit me like a fucking freight train and I very nearly switched sides immediately). And I'm just blindly doing what he asks because he's my future husband, you know?

Totally forgot about the conversation with him about meeting at my house. Went to my house to read a letter and BAM! There's Anders! My Champion is absolutely a moron and definitely forgot in game, but hey, pleasant surprise, right?

And I'm jumping from quest to quest so randomly that I managed to complete Aveline's goofy date quest and then immediately followed it with my mother dying in the most horrific way. The fucking whiplash nearly broke me!

Every decision I make either pisses off Anders or Fenris. But Anders is my boy, and the only other warrior option I have is Aveline and I am not dealing with her! So I have to take Fenris. I have somehow managed to keep his friendship level just above rival, but boy does that elf dislike Hawke. And Anders. Jury's still out on if he likes Varric.

(My Hawke is a dual-blade rogue, so my party is always Anders, Varric, Fenris. For balance! Yeah... not because their banter has me giggling like an idiot)

Thought for sure that Anders was gonna blow up the chantry during his Justice quest. Was mildly disappointed when the Chantry was intact.

But uh... hey Anders? Trying to give away your prized possession to Varric? Keeping secrets? Absolutely eluding to some type of betrayal? WHAT DID YOU DO????? Mentally preparing for the worst while desperately trying to convince him to stop this nonsense or at least TELL ME WHAT THIS NONSENSE IS! (I need to know but I refuse to spoil it).

Haven't looked up any guides except the one for the Books of Evil. Because fuck that one. (I have a desperate need to get every achievement I can, to do every quest available).

Act I has scarred me and I am hoarding gold like a dragon. I have bought exactly 2 things. An armor upgrade I found for Isabela (who is absolutely never in my party) and a gift I was curious about. That gift was immediately forgotten until I started talking to my companions. Suddenly, I had a gift for everyone that I picked up on my travels. I have no idea which one was the one I bought.

Really need to look into those armor upgrades... It's Act III and everyone is in their beginner armor. Except Isabela. But... she's fucking gone, so...

I love that Varric keeps track of kills. I'm ashamed that my Hawke is an idiot and probably has less than everyone else.

Keep forgetting to protect Varric in battle. That man has used more injury kits than I care to count. I love the idea that he keeps telling all this to Cassandra, too. Like "yeah we had to battle the Qunari, but I was knocked out for half of it. Anyway, here's what happened while I was out cold."

Have I mentioned my battle skills are absolutely horrendous? Like button mashing is a strategy, right? Varric having to tell Cassandra, " yeah so we were fighting like 8 shades and 2 rage demons and Hawke was... waving her daggers at an empty corner for 3 minutes."

Hey uh, how does Varric know what went on in the privacy of Hawke's bedroom when Anders came to visit? And why is he telling Cassandra? Varric, I have questions and concerns.

Anyway, I'm loving this game, and how different it is from DAO and Origins. I like that I never know what the main plot is. I mean, yeah, mages vs templars, but I mostly know that from DAI and other lore referring to it. While playing, it just feels like Hawke is a person doing her best to meddle in absolutely everything with no game plan. And it's lovely!

It is in fact a very natural thing. I don't know the terms in English, so I will focus on the global idea.

For each individual, there are 3 layers : the public one, the private one, and the personal one.

The 1st is the most obvious one since it's about the image we reflect in society and what we want other people to believe we are. PR exists for a reason. We can say the public layer is the most polished one (or the fakest for some).

The private layer is who you are with your friends and close family. It's the "real you", you don't try to be someone you are not. This 2nd layer is the most complex one since it really depends on how close you are to some people. For example, you won't share the same things with your mom and your best friend, especially if you are in conflict over some opinions (religion, sexuality, politics, etc.). It doesn't mean you don't love them. I bet you once told to someone you could be the real you with them.

Last but not least: the private layer. It is our core, our beliefs, our likes and dislikes. We can share them with friends or our significant other, but we still filter things. Societal shame is a part of the reason we hide some things, but it is also because of self-preservation. Let's say you really like something that is not "approved" by some people. It's very precious to you, like a very delicate crystal marble. You won't show it to everyone, fearing they will break it. The marble is your rough feelings, what hurts the most if not handled carefully. RPF or fanfiction in general is something that can give you real happiness, a secret garden that resonates with your whole being. Truthfully: what hurts more than being rejected for what you truly feels ?

The private bookmark option on ao3 is a great feature for that reason and so is the locked story one. Even if this site is a safe place for many people, giving this extra privacy is what permits some people to fully embrace their passion and nurture their soul. This barrier protects those inside and outside at the same time (F1 drivers included). Those who share links and infos in public break this system of layers, it is an indirect break of trust.

So, here is my conclusion. You are totally valid for not sharing some pieces of information, even with your lover. The most important thing is that you enjoy yourself without hurting others.

Affection-How and how often do they show affection?

✋Shigaraki, the one man who acts like a child around his darling and possesses the same need as one. He didn't have exactly the best childhood, he killed all of his family due to his Quirk and his own father hated him all of his life. His past did fade away from him after he was left alone on the streets, but he lived his whole life without the healthy amount and affection he needed. And even if his past slipped into the recesses of his memories, his bottomless need for affection and attention is perfectly visible as soon as he has gotten over his initial dislike for the s/o for making him feel this way. That's when he instantly proceeds to kidnap you and after that it's pretty much over with private space for you.

✋I don't see Shigaraki as a cruel and sadistic Yandere and he doesn't want to hurt the s/o with the Quirk of his so if he wants to touch his darling, he'll have to start wearing gloves in order to not destroy them as well. But as soon as this is done and there is no danger for you, he'll be glued to your side all the time he gets with you. And if I say that he is constantly connected to your waist I mean it in the literal sense. Shigaraki can't really stop himself from touching his darling (in a not perverted way of course). So even if he is a villain and the leader of one of the most feared groups of villains as well, Shigaraki honestly just drowns his s/o in affection, mainly through touches. It still doesn't mean that he doesn't want love himself and he gets sometimes more bratty over it. He is ready to literally commit crimes for you if it means you show him love.

Blindness-How obvious are they to their feelings? Are they delusional?

✋From the point of normal citizens and heroes he knows that what he does looks like terrible things and his darling probably sees it the same as them. So from their perspective he probably appears terrifying and Shigaraki kind of knows that. That's why he doesn't really hide the fact that he kills from you, you know it anyways. He won't keep it a secret when he kills someone for you either, he has a rather twisted way of thinking about it. He kills people for you in hopes that he can make you love him by removing the people that wronged and hurt you or tried to take you away from him and by that got on his wrong nerves.

✋Shigaraki still isn't what you can call completely delusional. He has some understanding for why his darling might call his feelings not healthy because from what they're used too, his attachment probably looks wrong. The dangers that might come with being his darling are clear to him as well. But his standards can't be compared to the ones from others and the way he feels about the world and heroes differs from others. He really has no other choice, but acting accordingly to how he has to live. If he wants to have his darling kidnapping is needed because no sane normal civilian would come with him. Tomura kind of thinks anyways that his darling sees the world too much in black and white, stuck with the concept of heroes as good and villains as bad and he tries to change that. His love is dark, but he simply sees it as being more passionate and ready to go farther because normal heroes wouldn't be willing to kill everyone who ever harmed you or steal for you.

Nightmare-What would be the worst experience for their darling? Would they break?

✋Luckily he isn't sadistic in my eyes otherwise I would say his darling would definitely break. The worst things his darling has to go through would be being kidnapped because from the media they truly might only think that they are now captured by a cruel and highly dangerous villain and once finding out what his motives for taking them are, they might be even more freaked out. Hearing that someone kidnapped you out love and wants to keep you now, not to mention who is willing to slaughter everyone that he gets jealous off or who he views as a threat. Given the fact that he doesn't even hide his sadistic and violent side regarding others from you it might be very well that he ends up dismembering someone right in front of you.

✋Shigaraki doesn't really want to break his darling and he actually is considerate to learn to control his impulsives to murder someone with you watching when he notices that you can't take such sights very well. the man doesn't want his darling to break and end up being scared of him and if we ignore who he is and what he does, he doesn't even really treat his darling all that bad. He gives them everything as long as he is being rewarded with affection in return and even if he forces his affection and clinginess on you, he would never want to break you. It might happen without him intending to do it since this whole scenario is still much to take in. Kurogiri kind of helps him as good as he can preventing sloppy mistakes so it doesn't happen since Tomura still is pretty clueless about this relationship and runs mainly on his own needs steaming inside of him.

Punishment-How do they punish their darling?

✋As mentioned above, I don't see Tomura as a very cruel Yandere and he doesn't want to punish his darling. His darling is the only true soft spot he has and the thought of hurting them sickens him, especially with his Quirk that even prevents him from really touching them without wearing some sort of gloves. His punishments wouldn't be too bad given the possibilities he technically have and the terror he could cause. As long as you love him he wouldn't dream about punishment as long as you feed his starve for love and attention. Shigaraki is quite gullible and easily manipulated with affection and sweetness. Breaking his trust by using his trust and trying to run away would be a very likely scenario to happen in which case he would be truly heartbroken once he's accepted that you only used him and he will get mad with you for it. But it wouldn't really stop him from clinging to your side, he needs his daily amount of cuddles or otherwise it'll be even less for others to deal with him than normally.

✋He's in the end more saddened than angry which obviously affects the seriousness of the punishment. He most commonly starts isolating his darling and doesn't let them out anymore if they had their freedom before, though it wasn't like he could bear being very long away from them. Another thing that he is taking things away from them that he got them and that they were fond of since it helped them killing time or made them forget everything that they're in for a while. It isn't easy for him to keep punishments up for too long though because as mentioned, he can be easily swayed by his darling. This is the reaon why some of the members of the villains make fun of him and think of him as too soft. Something that isn't exactly intended as a punishment, but might feel like one for his darling and counts as a more horrific action is that Tomura won't hesitate to kill people in his way or who try to help his darling with escaping. It is a dreadful reminder for you that even if he is very harmless for you, that doesn't count for others.

He would be surprised, not about MC dating someone but about him not knowing about this sooner. Let's face it, Lucifer can get a bit...overprotective about MC at times and this isn't an exception. He will ask lots of questions about MC's partner such as how long they have been together, what kind of person they are, do they treat MC right, why didn't MC tell him sooner.

It will take him a lot of self-control to not go overboard with his protective streak and accept the fact that MC can, in fact, hold out on their own and know what's best for them. Lucifer will want to meet this person himself at some point, though. He can't trust MC to be in the care of someone he doesn't know as MC is very dear to him.

MAMMON

Mammon would lose his mind over this. I'm not even kidding. He will be demanding to know why MC hadn't told him and make it an even bigger deal if one of his brothers knew about their partner before him. Much like Lucifer, Mammon is very overprotective of MC and wants no harm coming MC's way. He also claims to dislike MC's partner even though he has never met them. Claims they have bad vibes and will try hard not to like their partner even if they are a nice person.

He also can't grasp the fact that MC would choose a mere human over all the demons and angels that undoubtedly have a crush on them. Mammon thinks MC deserves the very best and that their partner isn't good enough for them. It will take some time but he will accept MC's partner in the end, especially if they truly are a good person and love MC. But if they ever dare to upset MC, let's just say Mammon won't be very happy about that.

LEVIATHAN

He won't be that surprised, to be honest. I mean, he knows how lovable and popular MC is, so MC having a relationship wouldn't be a shock to him. Levi will only be upset about it if MC keeps it a secret from him or if he isn't one of the first ones to know because they are supposed to be best friends and best friends tell each other everything!

Slowly, insecurity and doubts begin to settle in. He will be afraid that MC will forget about their friendship or abandon him for their partner. MC would have to reassure him that nothing is going to change and they will still hang out and game together even though MC is in a relationship. Levi would be curious about their partner but wouldn't demand to meet him as he is quite antisocial. He trusts MC's taste. He also would rather be spared from any kind of relationship talk or details about the relationship.

SATAN

He keeps his cool when he finds out. To be honest, he expected as much, it would explain why MC turns down every date and love confession they get from others. He will ask questions about their partner and would want to ensure they are someone kind and someone who truly treasures and respects MC. Satan would also want to meet MC's special person, just to see himself what kind of person they are dating. Will try not to be too biased or overprotective.

If their partner turns out to be a decent person, Satan will let it be and occasionally check in how the relationship is going and if they are treating MC right. However, if Satan thinks their partner is a scumbag, he will let MC know and in that case, he won't be too supportive of the relationship. If the person ever hurts or upsets MC, they will experience Satan's wrath and it won't be pretty.

ASMODEUS

His beloved MC has a partner? He will want to know everything about it - the more details, the better. Nothing will be too TMI with him. MC would get to gush about their partner as much as they please with Asmodeus and he would be delighted to listen and give relationship advice. He would be so happy and supportive about the relationship unless the partner turns out to be a terrible person in which case he might sabotage the relationship or tell MC to settle for someone better.

Asmodeus might test how loyal MC's partner is because the last thing he wants is for them to hurt MC in any way. Honestly, MC should expect Asmodeus to third wheel their dates occasionally - he simply wants to spend time with his favorite human (sorry Solomon!) and their partner.

BEELZEBUB

He is pretty indifferent about MC dating, as long as it's a loving and healthy relationship. Beel would just be happy if MC has someone who loves them as much as he does and can make them happy. He will be less curious than his brothers, but wouldn't mind if MC gushed about their partner. Sure, he might not quite understand everything MC tells him, but he will at least listen and be supportive.

Though, if the partner as much as makes MC cry, it will take a lot to hold Beel back from crushing every bone on their body. He won't sit still and have someone hurt the person he loves as much as his family. Though Beel is calm and kind most of the time, he won't hold back if it means protecting those he loves.

BELPHEGOR

Another one who will be rather indifferent about it, as long as nothing changes between him and MC. If the partner tries to control how much time MC spends with him or denies their afternoons naps together, Belphie will have a problem with this human. If MC spends too much time with their partner or ignores Belphie because of them, he will get bratty and clingy. Overall, if MC pays more attention to their relationship than to him and Beel, he would get annoyed about their partner.

Likes to vaguely threaten and intimidate MC's partner when they meet. Belphie will make sure they are aware of the consequences if they ever hurt MC or their feelings. Despite being the youngest, he will take the role of overprotective older brother surprisingly easily.
