update: guess who took one day of feeling better and ran too close to the run. im still feeling ok, i was worse this morning but just EGHHHHHH FLU GO AWAY anyway in willbon land, bonbon also jumped the gun and went ro freddy's and now everyone is sick with the flu. Freddy Fazbear's has to be closed foe health inspections. William feels like poop and bonbon feels so guilty. henry hates that they all losing business all because these fruits couldn't wait like 1 more day (HOPEFULLY) to be cringe and nuzzle noses and give smoothes
take this too (credit to being based on a jayvik audio i love on tiktok) bonbon: sometimes being a furry in love with a furry isn't always soft or sweet or tender, sometimes its pushing your fiance away because you have a horrendous stomach flu that if he got it, could put his company in ruin because he's a silly goober with no self preservat- update: william has the stomach flu. you'll NEVER GUESS HOW
hiii I'm back from having HORRID stomach flu. still a little sickly but this is the fist day in 4 days where i can sit at my pc without feeling like everything is spinning and i'm going to die. yipee i missed my f/os and my blogs.
thinking about william sad that bonbon had to stay home from work and he cant risk getting sick and its just these posts .
once shes back at freddy's, its on SIGHT nuzzles...i need his nuzzles so bad rn.

Elizabeth Afton is the best FNaF villain in my opinion. She’s cute, but also scary. She has a plan which kind of works and a motive that makes sense if you’re looking at it like you’re also nine. Circus Baby is cool. Ennard is cool. Scrap Baby is cool. She’s cool, and anyone who hates her has bad taste.

Five nights at Freddy’s fan art is epic because you’ll see the coolest piece ever, it’s dramatic, it’s gorgeous, it’s tragic, it’s bloody, it makes you feel things, and then the canon interaction is like. Purple squares stand next to blue squares and blue squares turn gray

📜 Howdy self/yumeshippers! Wanna better thank people who send you asks and ensure people keep sending you asks, but you're unsure how? 📜
Then here is a guide of practical DOs and DON'Ts to answering asks regarding how to thank someone ♡
Let's start with the Don'ts. There's only three, but they're super important to acknowledge!
● Do Not omit a "thank you!" from your response
When you don't thank someone who chose to interact with you, that other person feels like you don't care that they made efforts to contact you.
Pretty icky feeling, ain't it? It just makes that other person feel used, unappreciated, unimportant, even rejected, just another icon in your list of followers/mutuals. Makes someone not want to engage with you.
● Do not leave your "thank you" in the tags only
That may seem like a benign thing to do, but it only comes off as an afterthought to the person who sent you the ask! Nobody wants to feel like an afterthought!
Do not visually minimize your "thank you"
See the point I just made above about leaving it in the tags.
"Thank you!" Does not feel as genuine as "Thank you!". It feels like you're whispering it. Who wants to be thanked for their kindness via a teeny whisper?
Oooooooookay! Simple enough, right? We know the Don'ts now. What about the Do's?
● Express Obvious, Clearly Visible Gratitude when someone sends you an ask.
Have a moment and truly stop to think to yourself the following:
That person is going out of their way to think about my shelfship enough to find my blog and ask a genuine question about it. They don't owe me their time or their interest in my self ship, and have nothing to gain by sending me an ask--- this ask is a gift from them.
If that somehow doesn't fill you with joy and make you feel special and seen and loved, then you should still act like it does when you answer their ask.
So what should you write? Here's an easy, but efficient example:
"Thank you so much [name] for sending me this ask! I appreciate that you went out of your way to think of me and send it!"
As we can see, the simplest "thank you" you can give is one that really makes the asker feel appreciated, is one that:
A) addresses the asker by name if applicable
B) acknowledges that the asker took time out of their life to interact with you (something nobody owes you) to think about something you care about that is only focused ON you.
C) uses exclamation points to emphasize sincerity and excitement. Remember--- you are receiving a gift and this is ONLY through text!
Emotion is notoriously hard to feel through text so it's helpful to use things like:
- exclamation points (even multiple, especially if you're excited to answer their ask!)
- all caps (if it's not a defined trigger for the asker)
- changing font size, italics, or using bold when emphasizing certain words. ("Thank you!" Feels different than "Thank you!" doesn't it?)
- emojis when conveying heartfelt gratitude. (If an ask made you smile, maybe add a smile to let your recepient know 😀😃😄😁🥰😊🙂 :v) :) :D?)
A very enthusiastic "thank you" might look like this:
"OH [name] HELLO 😁!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS :D!!!! I APPRECIATE YOU STOPPING BY ❤️!!!"
Woah! Lot of energy in that "thank you", ain't there? You can almost see the person bouncing around and smiling 😊!!!
Bonus tip thanks to Hedone @sugar-and-pearls : attaching a gifs or reaction image to your answer is ALWAYS a fun option to really express how excited and happy you are! Thank you Hedone for that addition ♡!!!!
Always try to avoid just writing "Thank you.", "Thanks." "Ty." Or "TYSM/tysm" as your response.
Why? Well, which feels more personal- "Ty." Or my simple example?
It's about the emotion you're conveying which is best shown via the effort you put into your response.
Copy and paste my simple and enthusiastic examples into a doc for ready access if you wish!
● Start off your response to the ask with the "Thank you" first
Like leaving your "thank you" in the tags or minimizing them, leaving your "thank you" as the last thing you write after answering their questions and whatnot makes the other person feel like an afterthought, especially if your response is multi-paragraph!
Start with your "thank you" so the asker feels seen and appreciated for their effort and trust me, they'll be all the more happy to read your answer!
They may even send more asks or invite you to DM them to discuss mutual self-ships together- this is how friendships are made 🥰!!
● Last but not least: send an ask back!!!!!!
I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: send an ask back.
That person literally took time out of their day-- precious time they don't owe you!-- to reach out to you and show you some love! If you want to build connection in the community, if you want to encourage others to send you asks, then show some love back by taking time out of your day and sending them an ask about their ships ♡!
If you don't know what to ask or which f/o to ask about, here's some surefire methods of coming up with questions:
1. Take a wee bit to look at what things they've posted recently on their blog. Have they been talking about Blorbo A recently? Mentioning specific thoughts and ideas and scenes about Blorbo A like their ideas for a fic, a drawing, etc.?
Then how about you ask a question about Blorbo A ♡?
2. Look at their list if it's posted. Recognise any characters you know? Ask about them!
They'll looooooove that you came up with a Blorbo specific question based on your pre-existing knowledge of Blorbo ♡
3. Don't see any characters you recognize and don't really know the ship your recipient has with them? Pick one and do the following:
Ask some questions like, "What's the overall dynamic between you and Blorbo? What's your story with Blorbo? Explain Blorbo's personality in five words?"
That way next time you'll have a better idea of what sort of questions to ask AND your recipient knows you care enough to learn just as they had cared enough to send you an ask in the first place ♡
🔥 HOT TIP 🔥: Search "self ship ask game" or a varient of the like, take a *handful of questions from one of the hundreds that are out there, and edit them into individual questions to make it seem like a casual ask from you to your recipient ♡
*always send more than just one ask and one question!
Trust me, they'll want to repay you in kind if they're *decent folk! Sending a bunch of questions in one ask is kind but overwhelming to answer for most people- please send multiple asks with the individual questions you wanted to ask so that your recipient can take proper time to thank you and answer ♡
*If they don't repay you, then I'm sorry--- at least you now know not to interact with them anymore if you want or you can adjust your expectations.
A community environment unfortunately means there are going to be self-centered, casually thoughtless people who don't think about or appreciate the effort other people put into getting to know their ships and don't actually care to learn about anyone else's, but it doesn't mean you have to engage or surround yourself with them.
There ARE folks who are warm and thoughtful and curious- you just got to keep looking, keep being warm and thoughtful and curious yourself about other people and trust me, you'll find a handful that make your world that much brighter ♡!
If you're new to yume/selfshipping and want a wonderfully written general guide on how to get started, please see this delightful survival guide by @sugar-and-pearls ♡
If you made it this far---- Thank you!!!
May this find you in good health and good cheer and don't forget to love one another as much as your f/os love you ♡
