btw, while I think we can all agree that her chapter contains quite a few...questionable elements, I'm glad Lucy Mancini exists in the universe of The Godfather because thanks to her there's one woman in this book who ends up in a materially better place than where she started unlike litterally all the others so we can at least appreciate that

all i can say forever
i'm jewish. as a child i moved from a rural town where my family saw acts of rage and hate, emigrated from a country with a horrifying history with jews. you know the one, though there are many. i'm 31 now and i have seen and experienced antisemitism my whole life, in the many places i've lived, to varying degrees. not that i should need to qualify this before everything i have to say - but i know what that looks and feels like. in my life there have been times at which i have been in danger. i choose to stay out of danger in all the ways i was taught. (part of that is not moving into someone else's house uninvited (more in a sec))
(well-meaning?) people want me to have a relationship with israel. they are very invested in assuming i have some connection to this shifting space, this project. they associate my german jewishness with a place i have never been and never felt. home, for me, is the uncle i haven't seen in too long, the ailing brother of my mother, the same red nose. it's fresh sheets hung over dry summer grass, it's bavarian farmland, it's thick liptauer on pumpernickel bread warmed over the wood stove. it's my grandmother's dining room and rough fenceposts, borders we disrespected as kids. home is also here and there and where my family is, where my friends are, where i've built myself.
in a geopolitical sense, it is clear that the antisemitic position is to sequester jews into a partitioned state conceived of by non-jews after the sunset of our most recent attempted decimation. antisemitic, to tell jews "move here, be at home in this space of constant war. impose war on others. fight for a tenuous link to an ancestry you've never seen or studied." in a religious sense, sort of a key feature of judaism since the second exile is that - we're in exile. this is an orthodox argument, but i have to admit that rabbinical discourse is pretty convincing. the secular establishment of the israeli state in an attempt to accelerate any so-called redemption has left us at a point where i really don't know what hope we have for that to occur. if you believe in god, how can you believe they are looking down at us, impressed
because beyond theoretical or spiritual reasons, the bloodlust, the vengefulness, the racism, the violation of law (i know that laws are agreed upon, are broken all the time by those who grant themselves impunity), the evil of this continuance, the evil which grinds babies and text and memory, gnashes it all in its droning machinery, its cold horror and inhumane (unhuman) practice, seemingly perfected... it is obvious to anyone with a single thought that it is an ethnic cleansing. the forcible "movement" (murder) of people of one group from land people of another group want. is ethnic cleansing. we are watching it in real time, and the world stands by and in many cases, it endorses, it beats and imprisons those who are brave enough to stand up to it, it rewards cowardly men in war rooms who having read fukuyama and arendt and maybe even voegelin conveniently forget themselves, because they can afford to, and wave their hands and make calls and decimate entire families cities sovereignties. and liberalism - that fickle ideology whose sole search is for the justification of atrocity - sends its thoughts and prayers, and emphasizes how just horrible both sides are, and conveniently forgets the histories that have led each "side" to this. convenient.
and i can't do anything about it. i can perfectly articulate every well-thought-out argument, i can cry the most frustrated tears from the well of my chest and i can scream that this isn't right, because it isn't, but nobody fucking cares. those who matter have decided for those who don't.
if you align yourself with israel, or feel any sympathy toward the supposed plight of active settlers (not a neutral spot to be in, by the way - another rational argument), i hope you know how thoroughly you've been manipulated. how successful the project of those with the power to decide we don't matter has been. you and i don't matter. so-called free thinkers meme. you fucking idiot. you genocidal maniac.
not putting this under a cut. fuck you. read it all and remember my jewish name and keep it far out of your mouth the next time you tell someone why the people you've told me are my neighbors deserve a flattening.

First year gang but it’s an au where they’re ghostbusters
anything 4 u, baby. (gonna be real with you, though, i have never seen a single ghostbusters movie, so some of this is just based off of preliminary research, lol)
okay, so it's a TWST event based on that one old mickey mouse short "the haunted house" and the actual "the haunted mansion" ride at disneyland. there's this old, decrepit house on school property that used to be its own dorm -- we're just gonna call it "skaladare". however, after an undisclosed accident nearly a century ago where all the dorm members died simultaneously, it shut down and is now the most dangerous place to be on all of campus. for this reason, demolition companies don't want to go anywhere NEAR this thing, so it's just been chilling in its pocket dimension for a while.
you can see where this is going.
the first-years originally think they're just going into skaladare to get the cinders cloak that used to belong to the old housewarden, which has great magical properties -- which is partially true, if nothing else. that idea degrades over time, though, as crowley gives them ghostbusting outfits, magestone equipment (proton packs, containment units, etc.), and even gives grim a funny pair of ecto goggles. ("you probably won't get in any real danger, but i'll give you all this stuff anyway because i'm just so darn kind---")
(the housewarden of skaladare, named gale roths (a pun on the term "gale rots"), is twisted from the grim reaper from the mickey mouse short, btw.)
as soon as they get there, the door closes in on them and they're locked inside. luckily, they're met with the ghost of a former skaladare first-year named gabriel hauntings (for... obvious reasons), twisted from the ghost host from the haunted mansion ride. he's pretty friendly as far as most undead go, though (if extremely sassy and sarcastic, but i guess being stuck with nothing to do but crossword puzzles will do that to you).
gabriel can't remember how he died, but everyone else does. and he can tell you that everyone has been extremely aggressive after they woke up as ghosts, so the first-years better watch their backs. after a bit of threatening by epel and manhandling by sebek (which everyone is deeply confused by, because he's supposed to incorporeal, sebek is there something you want to tell us--), gabriel agrees to guide them through the mansion to the housewarden's bedroom, where the cinders cloak is.
they fight through a bunch of skeletons and ghosts, and as they continue through the halls, talking to old paintings on the walls and random scraps of memories gabriel regains, they slowly piece together the story behind skaladare's mass extinction.
as it turns out, skaladare used to be the worst-ranked dorm in the whole school -- in grades, definitely, but also in the fact that the dorm was literally falling apart, and no matter how much housewarden roths begged for repairs, the headmage at the time (who i'm just going to assume isn't crowley) refused to spend money on what the entire school saw as a lost cause.
skaladare lost every spelldrive match they were ever apart of, they were cut out of school-wide field trips, the teachers looked down on skaladare first-years the moment they stepped into the classroom, and getting sorted into skaladare was basically a death sentence (*hint hint*, *wink wink*)
being the housewarden of this awful place was already bad. combine that with the housewarden's already ongoing issues (we're just going to assume they're similar to riddle's), and he overblotted in no time at all. except this time, there was nobody who could stop him -- and he wound up killing every single person in skaladare. the reason gabriel doesn't remember any of this is because he was sleeping when this happened, which is why he describes the process of becoming a ghost as "waking up".
blah blah blah, the first-years have to deal with another overblot, can you believe it? except this time, gabriel is going to battle with us after hanging back this whole time (yes, he can get a card, too). and at the end, gabriel and gale and everybody else can move on to the afterlife. gale gives the first-years the cinders cloak, the freshmen and gabriel have a tearful goodbye, and they leave up into the great unknown after one last twistune.
even if this is a twst event and those are usually pretty goofy, let's say that this ending has our freshmen thinking about how this school and their own dorms might actually kill them one day.
as for cards, i'm gonna give jack and sebek the ssr cards ('cause let's be real, they deserve it at this point), deuce and epel can get the sr cards, and (i'm so sorry) ace and ortho get the r cards. and since gabriel is our event guest, he also gets an ssr card.

Missing Moments I Want to Know About in 1x09/1x10
The show leaves us to fill in a lot of blanks for TK and Carlos during season 1. I always want to know more, but I think the blanks I want filled in most are the ones that occur in 1x09 and 1x10. Here are the ones I think about the most:
1.How does Carlos find out that TK is awake?
Does he find out through the first responder grapevine that the firefighter who was shot is going to be ok? Does someone from the 126 (Paul maybe?) call him? Does TK call or text him himself?
If I had to guess, I'd go with Paul letting Carlos know. Maybe before Carlos leaves the hospital he gives Paul his number and asks him to update him if anything happens.
2. What is TK told about Carlos after he wakes up and how does he feel about it?
We see TK's reaction to Owen asking about how long he's "been seeing the cop," but we don't see any further than that. I think TK can assume from Owen's comment that Carlos was at the hospital...otherwise how would Owen know about them? But does anyone say anything more to TK? Does Owen/Paul/Marjan/Mateo/Judd mention how upset and worried Carlos was or ask TK if he wants them to call Carlos to let him know he's ok? How does TK feel once it sinks in that Carlos, his "boyfriend who he doesn't even really know is his boyfriend boyfriend" was sitting by his hospital bed?
I see TK in this post-coma moment as being very much in crisis, and not just about the question of his relationship with Carlos. TK feels lost and confused about where his place is and what he wants to do with his life. I like to believe (though we don't actually have much evidence of this since there's no Tarlos interaction between 1x05 and 1x10) that TK was starting to come around and let his walls down a bit more in the time leading up to him getting shot, but then, post-coma, his crisis makes him take a step back from all that until he figures out where he's supposed to be. I think TK probably felt things when he found out that Carlos sat by his hospital bed, but I think he shoved those feelings down while he dealt with the crisis at hand.
3. What led them to the juice bar in 1x10 and how did they both see the situation at the time?
Whose idea was it to go there? Did TK call or text Carlos or was it the other way around? Had they been texting or talking back and forth at all since TK woke up or was this their first contact? What was said in the conversation that led them there? What were their expectations?
TK seems to be the one most passionate about boba so that makes me think he chose where to go. Or maybe it was a place they were planning on going together before he got shot, like TK had mentioned it in passing weeks ago and Carlos remembered and suggested that as the place they could go.
I wonder if TK thought from the beginning that he'd be essentially breaking things off with Carlos. Perhaps that perceived inevitability was why he filibustered a solid 6 minutes on boba? I get the impression that they both knew there would be a conversation about their relationship because when Carlos brought up the "elephant in the juice bar," TK immediately knew what he meant. Also, in hindsight, it is HILARIOUS that Carlos calls TK out here for avoiding talking about something. Oh, Carlos.
Side note: I wonder what Carlos' reaction would have been if TK had said that he liked Carlos and wanted to continue hooking up but still didn't want anything more. Would Carlos have said that wouldn't work for him? Because I really think at that point it wouldn't have. After the strong feelings he felt while sitting beside TK's hospital bed, could Carlos have continued being casual? Or would he have agreed to it just to keep TK (HIS SOULMATE) in his life even if it would have caused him pain?
4. What happened between the juice bar and the firehouse hug?
I feel like it's obvious that we're missing a pretty big conversation in there. The best evidence for this is the way Carlos goes face first into TK's neck when he shows up at the firehouse. That is not a man who isn't sure if they're even a "we" or who is solemnly accepting that they might not be meant to be. So what happened?? There's some great fic exploring this moment (SEE BELOW), which is where a majority of my headcanons on it come from.
I think it's clear that TK had to reach out first here. Both from Carlos' attitude at the end of the juice bar scene and from what we know about Carlos in general, there's no way Carlos was going to push any further without TK making it clear that's what he wanted. HOWEVER I could possibly see Carlos going to the hospital to check up on TK as he got his stitches fixed. I don't think he would go with any motive of getting TK to agree to a relationship with him. It would solely be about making sure that TK was alright. Even then, I'm not sure if he would do it. He certainly would have wanted to, but he might have held back based on TK's attitude at the juice bar. Carlos likely would have felt that TK might not want him there. I've definitely enjoyed fic that has him doing this, though.
Probably the most likely possibility is that Carlos simply went home after the juice bar/solar storm incident. His heart was surely shattered after being essentially rejected by his soulmate after putting his feelings out there in the most direct way he'd done so far. We know so much more about Carlos now and it just makes it even more apparent how much it took for him to sit there in front of TK and tell him how he was feeling like that when he thought it might not be reciprocated! And then, when it wasn't (at least from Carlos' perspective in that moment)...HEARTBREAKING.
Ultimately, I believe that TK had his epiphany and reached out to Carlos wherever he was (either at the hospital with him or Carlos' house or somewhere else). The conversation they had is something that I would like to see more than perhaps any missing moment in the entire series. Imagine the look on Carlos' face when he realizes what TK is telling him! As his previously-shattered heart is mended in an instant 😭 I want to see it so bad! Thankfully I have fic to fill the void. Speaking of, here are just a few excellent examples of fic that fills in this and some of the other moments I've discussed here:
silver in the night by @reyesstrand
the elephant in the juice bar by @taralaurel
Simple and Plain and Not Much to Ask from Somebody by @howtosingit
Steady up ahead by @paperstorm
Still Waters Run Deep by @welcometololaland
Just Let Me Hold You by tkstrands (is this writer on tumblr?? If so let me know and I'll @ them!!)

Not a request // not edited yet
FRAT BOY HARRY
Tumblr media
"You're coming?!" You raise your eyebrows in surprise. Harry usually never has time to come to set with you since his tour is also happening.
"Dates lined up babe. I'm excited to come watch you do your thing." He walks over to you, who's still in bed, and sits down.
"Oh gosh. Now I'm nervous." You laugh, "If I mess up, you're going to have to leave."
He sighs, "Fine, but if you get nervous, just picture me in my underwear."
You look at him, "But, I think you're so sexy in your underwear."
He shrugs and laughs while shaking his head, "Then I don't know what to tell you, but come on. We're going to be late."
He pulls the covers off of you and you groan, "Okay. Fine."
——
Harry sits in the corner, observing your hair and makeup being done. He smiles when Michelle spins you towards him.
"What?" You ask with a shy smile.
He shakes his head, "You just look very pretty."
You smile and Jill leans forward, "Thank you, Harry." He smiles and nods, "Yes, Jill. You did a very nice job."
"Hey, y/n." The director, Lance, walks in, "You have a second?"
You look up at him, "Yep, what's up?" He glances towards Harry and back at you, "Listen, I want to cha- we'll, I want to add something to the scene we're shooting today."
"Okay?" You close your eyes for Jill to apply some more eyeshadow.
"I think you and Chris should do the sex scene."
You see Harry tense up behind him and you sigh, "Lance, I already told you I'm no-"
"I talked to him and he agrees that this will make the movie.." Lance cuts you off, "You'd just need to ta-"
"She said no." Harry says standing up.
Lance chuckles and you glance at Jill and Michelle. Jill nods and she leaves quickly, probably to get security.
"Listen, Harry. I don't care if you're in the biggest boy band of the world. You're not in my movie." Lance turns back towards you and Harry moves in between you and him.
You look up at Harry and sigh, "Lance, give me a minute."
"I'll give you five."
You wait for Lance to leave before looking up at Harry, "Let me talk to him okay. I talked him down once I can talk him down again."
Harry stares down at you for a few seconds before he blinks and shakes his head, "I'm not comfortable with it either."
You already made up your mind, you were just trying to find the right time to tell Harry.
Waiting until the day you're supposed to shoot it was definitely not it.
"Let me talk to him."
——
A little while later, you make your way back to Harry.
"So? Did he give you any issue?" Harry asks standing up and walking over to you. You sigh quietly and decide that right then and there you're telling him.
"You're doing it?" Harry steps back, his jealous anger becoming more obvious, "Why do yo-"
"Because if I don't, then I'm fired, Harry. I need this role." You blurt out, "I don't have to take anything off. I just have to act like I do."
"And you have to act like you have sex." He snorts and rolls his eyes.
"What? That's funny?" You cross your arms and tilt your head, "Mr. Styles, you sound so jealous right now."
He shakes his head, "No."
"You most certainly do and honestly.." you walk over to him, "It's very hot."
You see him glance at you but still doesn't work.
You run your hand up his torso, "Only you know what I sound like in bed." You move around to press your chest against his back, "Only you know the right buttons to push."
You can feel his muscles flex under your touch and you move around to the front of him, looking up at you slide your hands down to the loops of his pants, "Your dick is the only dick I ever want inside of me."
He grabs you and pushes you back against the wall, "I'm going to be so pissed."
"So take it out on me after." You bite your lip and smirk up at him.
"You're going to drive me absolutely insane." He smirks and shakes his head, "I love you."
"I love you." You pull him into you and kiss him. A knock on the door cuts it short, "y/n. Are you ready?"
You keep your eyes on Harry's as you answer, "Yep. Be right there."
"It's all.." you lean in and kiss him, "just.." you kiss him again, "Pretend."
He nods, "I know. It's just another man touching you... kissing you... I know it's work but it doesn't mean I don't want to strangle him."
You sigh, "I love you."
He smirks and sighs, "I love you." He pulls you forward and smacks your ass gently, "Now let's go."
——
It took a little bit to film the first little bit before the big scene. Chris kept messing up his lines, making everyone frustrated.
"Alright. Chris. My man. Let's get this shot in one go alright. I don't want to make y/n do this anymore than she already doesn't want to." Lance looks at you, "If at any point you want to call it quits, we can call in a double, right?"
You nod and take a deep breathe, "Thank you."
Maybe you should bring Harry along more often, because if Harry wasn't here, Lance probably wouldn't have said anything about a double.
He nods and turns, "Alright! Everyone in your places, please."
You make your way up to set and stand on your first mark, awaiting instruction.
"Y/n. Chris is going to come in, you're going to say your lines and then Chris, you're just going to lift her and take her to the bed. Got it?" Lance says through the unnecessary megaphone.
"Yeah."
"Got it."
You look at Harry and give him a reassuring smile. His face is set in stone, not happy about this all over again. He tries to smile back but his jealously is overpowering everything else right now.
"Action!"
"You know, I was thinking. Maybe we can have Sunday dinners here at the new house, Paul." You turn towards Chris who is closing the door, "Wouldn't that be nice?"
"Yeah.. yeah." He nods and throws his jacket on the chair, "You know what else would be nice?"
"What, sweetie?" You take your earring out and look at him. He smiles and shakes his head, "Taking a child with next year."
You freeze as intended and slowly smile, "You mean?"
Chris walks over to you and lifts you up, taking you over to the bed as you laugh, "Paul. Paul. What are you doing?"
Your mind can't help but wander to how Harry is doing.
You stay in the role, pretending to take your bottoms off.
The whole thing was only awkward because Harry was watching you pretend to have sex with another, very popular actor.
——
"And cut!"
"You did good." Chris smiles down at you. You laugh and sigh, "I hope that was good enough."
He nods as he stands up, "it was. If not he'll have to deal." He tosses you your shirt and walks away. You get out of the bed and make your way over to Harry.
His eyes follow chris as he makes his way down the hall and you gently grip his chin and turn his head towards you.
His eyes are dark. You can't tell if it's from the hatred he feels or if it's lust towards you.
"Hey." You smile slightly and lean in, "Come on." You grab his hand and pull him with you. Halfway down the hallway, something takes over Harry and he drags you into your dressing room.
You stumble behind him, still hanging onto his hand, "Whoa, baby. Hey." He shuts the door with slam, obviously not giving a shit.
He grabs your waist and backs you up into the wall, pinning you against it, "Just.." he groans lowly as he pushes his growing-hard cock against your thigh, ".. need you right now."
"Use me." You look up at him slowly as you bite your lip.
"Knees."
You drop down to your knees and look up at him. He presses one hand against the wall and looks down at you, raising his eyebrows to indicate that you're doing the work.
You rise up slightly and slowly undo his jeans.
"Faster." He mumbles out, eyes still glued to your face, "And don't tease."
You nod once and focus on pulling him from his boxers. A slight hiss escapes his lips as you quickly press your lips to the head of his leaking cock?, "Shit."
You smirk slightly and part your lips, taking him into your mouth.
"All the way." Harry presses his other hand against the back of your head.
Thankfully, you built up enough spit, which coats him quickly. You relax as best you can and force your head down, gagging as he hits the back of your throat.
"Yeah." Harry moans out, "That's it, baby."
You squeeze your eyes shut and moan as he tangles his fingers into your hair. He pulls your head back, giving your a minute to breathe.
His hand moves from your hair to grip your chin, "Look at me, y/n." He tilts your chin up, forcing you to look at him.
"A mess." He smirks and shakes his head, "I love you like this."
"Only for you."
"Only for me."
He nods towards the big chair in the corner of the room, "Undress and sit."
You scramble to your feet and walk over to the chair, taking off your pants and shirt. You stand still, slowly slipping your panties over your ass.
Harry fixes his pants and stops, licking his lips as you expose your pussy to him. He watches you turn around and sit down, naked on the seat.
He grabs another chair and sits a little bit away a from you, "Play with yourself."
"Did you lock the door?"
"Does it matter?" He shrugs and tries to hide a smug smirk.
"Kinda."
He raises an eyebrow, "I don't think you're in the right place to catch an attitude, sweetheart."
You bite your lip and tilt your head, "Why? Are you going to punish me even harder?"
He nods a few times slowly, "Mm." He stands up, making his way over to the door and checking the lock, "Locked."
You watch him as he walks back over to the chair and sits without saying another word. You lean back, bringing your feet up onto the chair.
You spread your legs and press your hand over your pussy. You push two fingers in past your folds and spread around your wetness.
Harry shifts around in the seat before he pushes his pants down his thighs. You push two fingers in and Harry gets his cock out, matching his stroke to the speed of your fingers going in and out of your pussy slowly.
"Faster." He groans out.
You spread your legs open more, moaning out quietly as you speed up the motion of your fingers.
"Quiet."
Harry's voice makes you freeze and you look at him confused.
"Not. One. Sound. Keep going."
You decided not to argue. You needed him and that would only buy him more time to not replace your fingers with his cock.
You nod and bite you lip as you build up to the speed you stopped at. You have never wanted to moan so bad.
Harry controlling you was such a turn on, you already feel your orgasm rushing in. You place a hand over your mouth as you squeeze your arm with your thighs.
Harry watches as you cum quietly. You dig your heels into the chair, turning as you slowly start to relax. You drop your hand from your mouth as you look over at him.
He has a smile resting on his lips, "Stand up and turn around."
You stand up and spin around, getting on your knees before leaning over. You look at him from over your shoulder and he starts walking towards you.
"You make a sound and we're done. Got it?"
You nod and he grips your hips, squeezing as he pulls you back to meet his hips. You bite down on your lip, squeezing your eyes shut as he rubs the head of his cock slowly against your folds.
You couldn't tease him, but he can tease you.
And you hate when it's like this.
But you love it at the same time.
"Who makes you feel the best?" Harry asks, "Hmm?" You keep your lips pressed together as you look at him,  unsure of whether it's a test or not.
"You can spe-."
"You do." The words instantly leave your lips. You push your hips back, hoping to get his cock into you.
He hums quietly and slides a hand down to slip two fingers into you, "We're you this wet when you were filming that scene?"
"No."
"Mm. You didn't think of me?" Harry slowly slides his fingers in and out, curling them.
"I-I did." You try your best not to moan, "I did."
He pulls his fingers out and rubs your slick over his cock, "Not another sound." He slides his cock into you, a little quicker than normal.
You rest your head on the back of the chair and clench around him. He groans out and pulls your hips back onto him.
The pressure of his cock is just right and it makes you want to scream. You dig your nails into the couch, kind of angry you can't make any noise.
"Move, baby." Harry squeezes your hips then let's go, waiting for you to start moving your hips yourself. You get into a steady rhythm of rocking back onto his cock, which drives Harry absolutely insane.
"Fuck." He lays a hand on your ass cheek before lifting it to deliver a harsh smack. You slap a hand over your mouth and jolt back.
"Mm, good girl." He leans down and grabs a handful of your hair. He tilts your head back, "Your pussy is too good for anyone else."
You keep your eyes closed, focused on not making a sound. You didn't want him to stop.
"Y/n." Harry moans low into your ear, "Who's pussy is this?"
"Yours."
"Who's?"
"Yours, baby. Yours." You press your lips back together as he tightens his grip on your hair, "Do you want to moan?"
"Yes." You say almost breathless. He thrusts his cock into you, resting there as he turns your head, "Open your eyes."
You oblige and he smiles, "I love you."
You smile slightly, "I love you."
He pulls his cock out and has you spin around to face him. He pulls you in for a kiss and spins around, sitting down for you to straddle him.
He reaches down to hold his cock steady as you slide back down onto him.
"Talk to me." He groans, "Tell me how good I make you feel."
His hands grip your hips as you start to slide up and down, "You make me f-eel so good." You grab onto his mesh button up and pull, "The only one who makes me feel this good."
He moans at your words and his eyes glide up and down your body. His eyes fixate on your boobs, watching as they jiggle with each bounce.
"Cum in me." You moan out as you look down at him, “Please.”
He’s caught off guard, that’s something you were nervous to do, not anymore.
But he’s not opposed at all.
“Yeah?” He leans up slightly, “You want me to fill you up?”
You nod and leans down to kiss him, “Yes, baby.” You push your hips down and grind on him, “Only you.” You moan against his lips as you miss him again, “Only you.”
He pulls you closer to him and slides his hands down to your ass, lifting you up and down, “Fuck.” He tilts his head back and you move down to attack his neck with little bites.
“Yo- you-“ he gasps as you bite down harder and pushes his body into yours. He squeezes your ass, “F-fuck.”
You now had him under your control.
“You feel so good.” You whimper out into his ear, “need you to fill me up.” You moan and slide your hands to his hair.
You pull and listen to the groan leave his lips, “I will only ever want you.” You kiss his cheek, over to his lips and squeeze his cock as you feel a second orgasm coming through.
“So close.” You whine out, “shit.”
“Wait for me.” He wraps his arms around you and pulls you into him, leaning back so he can thrust his hips upwards.
You moan out and dig your nails into his skin, “F-fuck.”
A few thrusts later, Harry grunts and you can feel his thrusts get sloppy, “Okay baby.”
You let go, moaning out profanity as you feel his cum pump into you. The thought of Harry filling you drove you insane now.
“Shit, y/n.” Harry says with a chuckle, “I might need to come with you to these things more often.” You laugh as you rest your head on his chest that’s rising and falling quickly.
He kisses your head and sighs, “Sorry for getting jealous.”
You lean up and look up at him, “Please. You getting jealous over me is the hottest thing.”

Isn't it SO fun to be harassed and bullied at school? /sarc
People call me a "FUCKING WEIRDO!" (Yes, that's word for word.)
They make faces at me like I'm sort of disgusting slob. (And they SHOW it and they WANT me to know they think that!)
Along with that, one kid pretended to gag and throw up at the sight of me, and used solar eclipse glasses to not look at me.
One kid called me ugly today! (YAY! /sarc)
They poke and prod at me like I'm a science experiment.
They fear the fact I smile all the time, that I tend to keep an emotionless expression in my eyes. (I'm only following Alastor's advice!)
They love to annoy me... But it's getting tiring.
Only a select few enjoy my presence, they keep me in and go along with my antics. My friend group likes having me around. And other kids I don't know much and we're neutral with each other.
I know I'm "weird" by their standards. But what's the fun in the world without differences?
I know I took on the persona of "weirdo" in my class. I want to go up to a teacher and cry. Because I didn't deserve to be treated like this?
I didn't deserve to be told "You know you should kill yourself" when I'm already suicidal. Did I?
Get told I'm retarded like 10 times already? Maybe more? (I'm not even exaggerating...)
And considering I might have mental illnesses such as possible autism, that's even meaner. At this point I'm not living, I'm surviving.
There's a reason why I've given up. My best friends are on the internet. I don't think without them I would be able to live today. Why do the people who care about me, share my interests, accept me for who I am, respect me, and TREAT me like I'm a human being, so far away?
I know I may be Xenogender, but that's no excuse for treating me no better than some sort of inferior species.
I see no one else getting treated like this, I'm the subject, no, the OBJECT of their bullying.
What the fuck am I supposed to do??? What do you fucking EXPECT me to do??? "Be yourself"??? I AM being myself, and you're fucking BULLYING me!? AM I SUPPOSED TO PUT ON SOME SORT OF MASK? I AM SMILING, MOTHERFUCKER, YET YOU STILL BULLY ME WHEN I DO HAVE A MASK!? /not you, to them
Like, please. Let me rest. Let me have a normal day where I don't have to face discrimination. Where I get treated with love.
I get treated so awfully so much, that I don't even know who I am anymore.
I lost myself.
My catchphrase has to be "I'm so done-" because I said that more than I needed to.
I feel like the next time someone does anything to me, I'm just going to burst out crying.
🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂
I hope you're doing alright right now, first things first, i need to let you know that you do matter, and you certainly don't deserve to be treated as subhuman as they treat you, I only wish the worst upon them <3 They are bitches who are a waste of oxegyn, they need to put you down to feel something or feel like they matter, and for that they are the weakest most disgusting subhuman people, genuinely hope they get more fucked up than they ever made you feel 🧡
It's pretty obvious that they're trying to make you feel shit, and i wish i was there to fight them off or comfort you when it happened, i said it before and i'll say it again, you don't deserve any of this. You deserve to be happy, and to feel like you are loved and cared for, the way they treat you is uncalled for and it's disgusting [them, not you, your cool] And agreed, your gender or your neurodivergence shouldn't be the reason you get bullied, they aren't things you can control, or things you have to change, they are litterally a part of your being/existence, I can't believe all of the shitty things they're doing, you don't deserve it. Have you tried to tell anyone? [although that doesn't work often, it's worth a try]. It seems like it's really affecting you, whether you admit it or not /nbr /npa I'd reccomend telling a teacher/principle [the meaner the teacher the better], if that doesn't work fight back, physically i wouldnt reccomend but if you have to, do it. Theres not much we can do about bullying, which is fucking shitty, but please hang in there at least and take care of yourself, i care about you and love you /p
I hope it gets better and they stop, they're pieces of shit who shouldn't be making you feel like this, they're insensitive cunts who should have their face cut up, hope they get bullied those fucking assholes

Israel's Propaganda (From a Jewish perspective)
I grew up in a Jewish area on a whole other continent from Israel, and the IDF used to visit us. I remember them visiting my day camp when I was a very young child. They'd set up a cardboard Western Wall and we'd write wishes to stick in it. Afterwards, they would straight up have us do army training drills altered to be 'fun' for kids. They did this every year.
(Putting a read more because this is long)
I don't remember all the things they had us do, but I remember having to crawl through mud and rocks and being told not to touch the string above us. They played it off like a fun game, even though a lot of kids got hurt doing it.
They did this because they wanted us to one day join their army. They came to us year after year to get to our children and make them think the IDF is cool and hey they should totally join up when they're older.
Sometimes they brought us candy. Sometimes they gave out IDF t-shirts. When I was a child, having that shirt was seen as cool.
They don't just try to reach you as a kid, though. They have something else they do when we are entering adulthood.
It's called a Birthright trip, and when you're a Jewish kid, this trip is hyped up so much. You look forward to it for years.
A Birthright trip means that as a Jew, even if you're not Israeli by blood, you have the right to go to Israel for free one time (fucked how I got to go there for free, meanwhile some Palestinians can't even visit or live in their homeland).
This trip is pure propaganda. It's played off as a fun rite of passage, something meant to make us feel closer to our 'homeland' (even if you have 0 family members from there and have no connection to it beyond being Jewish).
We're escorted by IDF soldiers around our own age. We're given lots of group activities meant to make us all feel closer. As the trip went on, I noticed something weird. There were so many people in charge making jokes about how the real Birthright experience is hooking up with a soldier. It felt like it was being encouraged. And it worked really well. A lot of people (myself included) ended up in relationships with the soldiers.
By the end of the trip it got very obvious that they were hoping we would fall in love, move there, and have babies that would eventually join their army. They tried so hard to make us want to stay.
Most of us barely knew anything about Palestine. I think this is why they want teens/young adults. They hope we're naive (I definitely was) and that we'll fall for the narrative they painted.
I was lucky on my trip, because our tour guide did something he probably wasn't supposed to do. He told us a little about the conflicts of Israel, but not just from Israel's perspective. He told us some of the horrible things that went on. He even told us how some people pull up chairs to watch strikes against the Palestinian people. He said he wanted to give us information from both sides, so that we can form our own opinions, and he did so in a hushed tone away from the other trip supervisors. His words were what made me start to really open my eyes and examine what was going on.
By that point, pretty much everyone on our trip was agreeing this was all just propaganda. This trip meant to make us fall in love with Israel was making us realize how fucked up things were.
Near the end of the trip, we were brought to a military cemetery. A lot of us didn't want to go in, because it felt wrong to take a tour through a graveyard. We were told we can't leave until we did it.
And that's around the point where one of the soldiers broke down. He was crying and shaking and when we asked why, he said he was scared of ending up there. He didn't want to be in the IDF. He didn't want to be a soldier. He didn't believe in what they were fighting for, and the job he was given in the army was a very dangerous one. He didn't get a choice. We tried to comfort him, and some of the other soldiers did too. It was how I found out most of them didn't want to be soldiers at all.
Eventually we went in the cemetery, hoping if we just got it over with we could leave quicker. None of the soldiers were happy to be here. Making them go through there was straight up cruel, and the guy I mentioned was not the only one to have a breakdown.
Our tour guide (different person from our main one), had an attitude like he was giving a tour of something we should be proud of, or in awe of. All these graves, most of which were filled with people barely into their 20s. And he was treating it like a tour of a museum. He kept loudly talking about how it was an honour to die protecting Israel, how it's a harsh reality. A necessity. I felt so bad for the mourners nearby who had to hear someone speak like that about their dead loved ones. How many of the dead had been forced into the roles that got them killed?
After that the propaganda was very blatant. They had us watch videos meant to convince us to move there. Again, we weren't allowed to leave.
So yeah. That's what Birthright is about.
On top of everything I mentioned, we're told from a young age that as Jews, we're supposed to see Israel as our safe haven. Our holy land. We're taught to revere it.
Fortunately, we're also taught something else. Something that goes above all of that: Never again means never again. It doesn't matter who it happens to, we MUST stand up against genocide. We cannot stay quiet and watch it happen.
Anyway, this post is long enough. I wanted to share the kind of lengths Israel has gone to for the sake of propaganda. They bathe us in it from the very beginning of our lives. I'm hoping that by sharing these experiences, people who have been through the same might see what's really going on.

ch. 10 ⤍ it’s happening!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you and yunjin greeted each other like you've known each other for years making the others confused, leading you to explain. "we were supposed to meet a really long time ago but it never worked out. it finally happened"
"so you know yunjin but you didn't know me.." kazuha said to you sadly.
yunjin smugly smirked at kazuha, "your girl likes me"
kazuha playfully glared at yunjin as you turned to the youngest person on the team who had been waiting to speak to you.
"y/n y/n! i'm a big fan" eunchae excitedly greeted you, "i watch all of your content!"
you smiled at the younger girl, "i'm glad to hear that"
"i always told chaewon and sakura to introduce us but they never did" eunchae told you.
"there was a reason for that" chaewon mumbled under her breath.
you turned to look at chaewon confused, "why? what's wrong with us meeting"
"you're both absolute menaces" chaewon replied like it was obvious.
"it would have been too much to handle if we introduced you two" sakura added shaking her head at the thought.
"they're just overdramatic" you said to eunchae who agreed.
afterward, you turned back to kazuha to ask what the plan for the beginning of filming was before getting cut off by chaewon.
"i mean we're here too but give everyone but your long-term friends a greeting" chaewon said.
"y/n meets new people and just changes up on us" sakura added.
"i saw you two last week no big deal" you waved off sakura and chaewon who both gasped in response.
"you saw kazuha last week too"
"there's a difference, i've known kazuha for a week. i've known you two for years"
"you changed up so fast" chaewon shook her head in disappointment.
"i'm just kidding i missed y'all too" you went to hug chaewon and sakura. chaewon avoided it at first but eventually let up, hugging you back.
after the greetings were over you now had to choose who would team up with who.
"we should let zuha and y/n be on the same team. this is for them anyways" sakura said.
"who do we want?" kazuha asked you, but you just shrugged since you didn't really know anything about the rest of the members besides chaewon and sakura.
"i can't choose between them" she said.
"manchae?" you asked.
"how do you know that?" she asked shocked, "i thought you didn't know us"
"i saw a clip with her and sakura one time"
"y/n you're really breaking my heart right now" kazuha held her hand over her heart.
you quickly hugged her, "but you're the only one i called pretty, i confessed my love to you for a reason, future lover"
kazuha blushed and the cameras zoomed in on you two.
"what is this?" chaewon and yunjin made disgusted faces at the camera, while sakura covered eunchae's eyes.
"hey couple! we're filming a video right now, save this for later!" yunjin yelled at the both of you.
you and kazuha pushed apart finally remembering the others.
"so manchae?" kazuha confirmed with you.
you nodded your head.
"we'll do a back hug to choose your teammate"
you winked at yunjin on your way over making her think you chose her.
"i think i know" yunjin smirked once you all got into position with you and kazuha standing behind them in a row.
"do we just do it?" you asked the camera crew who nodded at you.
"hmm? who should we choose" you said wanting to be dramatic.
"you already know who you're choosing" chaewon exclaimed. you both went to backhug eunchae who cheered in response.
the camera zoomed in on yunjin who had the most betrayed look on her face.
"y/n...!" yunjin yelled at you.
"sorry, i did think about choosing you though" you told the girl.
"it's fine we just win against them" yunjin huffed as she went to chaewon and sakura.
now it was time for the game to get started. you and eunchae were the first two to go in while kazuha stood watch at your base.
"i'll bait them. just stay hidden while i get them and only show yourself if i get hit" you told eunchae who nodded in response.
while you were sitting on guard you heard someone heading towards you. you peeked around the corner to see who it was, noticing it was chaewon you set your gun up ready to shoot. once chaewon turned the corner you pulled your trigger, getting her out immediately.
"you're still a fucking sweat" chaewon cursed at you.
"i'm just tryna win" you shrugged as you backed away. once chaewon went to revive you proceeded forward hoping to get another one.
"kkura is approaching you" you heard through the walkie-talkie. you tried to back away for cover but was hit.
eunchae took that as a signal to catch sakura off guard popping out from her hiding spot to hit sakura.
"where did you even come from?" sakura asked.
eunchae shrugged in response not revealing anything.
the game went on with the kills going back and forth.
you were slowly making your way through the area looking out for sakura who apparently could not stop killing you.
you saw a different colored vest and they had their gun pointing directly at you. you let out a sigh of relief when you realized it was yunjin.
"wait yunjin, i'll help you out if you help me" you stopped her from shooting you.
"i'm listening" she put her gun down slowly.
"kazuha and eunchae are planning to rush in and catch y'all off guard" you told her.
"kkura and chaewon are just trying to pick y'all off one by one" yunjin told you.
"so we shouldn't be moving alone" you said to yourself.
"when are zuha and eunchae attacking us?" yujin asked you.
"now that might be asking too much, you're basically asking me to turn on my team" you chuckled.
"i literally told you our game plan. you can tell me one strategy so i can at least get more than 1 kill" yunjin said.
"fair. just catch them off guard first so they won't expect it" you told her as she nodded.
"you better not tell them about this" yunjin held her gun up to you in a threatening way but didn't pull the trigger.
"you better not either" you said in response holding your hands up.
"i won't if you don't" yunjin put her gun back down.
"you can trust me" you reassured yunjin before parting ways.
"i hope she doesn't betray me" yunjin whispered into her mic and then the camera cut to you.
"yunjin's heading towards our base" you quietly told your team through the walkie-talkie once yunjin was out of sight.
"i'm not technically betraying yunjin since i didn't tell my team about the actual plan. i'm just making sure they're not too caught off guard" you defended yourself to the camera that was following you around.
while you were walking around you had run into both sakura and chaewon killing them both separately before hearing news from your team.
"yunjin got me and eunchae" you heard kazuha tell you through the walkie-talkie.
"both? really" you asked shocked.
"i know you said she was coming but she really came out of nowhere" eunchae said.
"ahh damn. well, i got kkura and chaewon so it should we're tied" you put your walkie-talkie back away to talk to the camera.
"most successful betrayal i've ever done" you told the camera smiling.
"has anyone seen sakura yet?" you met back up with your team at the base.
"last time i saw her she was base area. she's the type to push forward though" kazuha said.
"i think we should target sakura" eunchae suggested.
"agree she's their carry. once she's out we sweep them" you agreed.
that was how you decided to walk around as a group with sakura as the main target, whoever saw her first would tell the rest of the team and we would all shoot at her. it was pretty successful since she was always alone but once she caught on to what you were all doing she now only always had backup.
later on, you were alone walking in the other team's base area when all of a sudden you heard a bunch of footsteps coming towards you causing you to duck for cover.
"y'all i think i'm cornered" you spoke quietly into your walkie-talkie.
"do you need backup?" eunchae asked.
"no you should stay. they only know the general area i'm in" you said.
"just try and back out. we'll help if all of them show up" eunchae told you.
you put your walkie-talkie back on the belt and wall-hugged the walls that lead you back to your base. not hearing any more sounds you tried to take off but were caught off guard by yunjin showing up and killing you. you fell onto the ground dramatically.
"can't believe you did this. i thought we were friends" you joked putting your hand over your heart.
"you should've picked me to be on your team then" yunjin said before going away.
you were about to stand up and revive but kazuha came from behind a wall, running up to you. "no y/n you can't die on me. we haven't even gone on our first date yet" kazuha started a skit.
"you're gonna have to go on without me" you played along.
"no! we can't do this without you" kazuha moved her hands to cover where you were 'shot' at.
"just leave me behind; i'll only slow us down"
"we really could all make it together" eunchae cut into the conversation.
"take care of my children, but don't let rei touch my will" you let out your final words.
"nooo y/n" kazuha fake cries dramatically.
"bruh just go revive" eunchae told you seeming uninterested as possible. you laid there for a couple of seconds still playing the part.
"okay! let's beat them" you quickly stood up heading to the revive station.
once you revived you started a group huddle for the last play, "get as many kills in the next two minutes as possible"
it was supposed to be strategic, but as you approached their base you decided to just make it fun.
"fuck it we ball" you told kazuha who nodded in agreement.
you and kazuha went in rapidly firing as a distraction for eunchae who was quietly making her way behind the other team.
chaewon was in cover aiming at you ready to shoot when her lights started flashing signaling she was hit. she turned around in shock seeing eunchae behind her.
"what is this? y'all are too elaborate!" chaewon exclaimed.
chaewon walked away telling her team about your positions but she was too late as kazuha got yunjin who just happened to walk into the crossfire.
since the rest of the other team was reviving you three took the opportunity to ambush sakura who was alone. it took the three a while to find her, but kazuha successfully killed sakura at the last second right before the timer went off signaling the game was over. you and eunchae ran off quickly ran off to see the score.
SSAMKKURAJIN - 17
YNEUNHAZ - 28
"WE WON!" eunchae shouted when she made it there first.
you, kazuha, and eunchae jumped up and down as the other team watched in both amusement and disbelief.
"i thought we were in the lead. i was killing all of them" sakura said in shock.
"and you make up 10 of those kills" eunchae said as she pointed to the screen that showed the number of kills each person had.
"what were y'all doing?" sakura asked her team making both chaewon and yunjin look away finding everything else in the building interesting.
"you beat me by 1 y/n" eunchae said in disbelief as she pointed at the screen. you had 11 kills while eunchae had 10.
"i'm just better" you bragged.
"i knew it was over once eunchae and y/n were on the same team" chaewon said.
"if i'm being honest sakura was my only competition" eunchae said.
"same she's like the only person that killed me" you agreed.
"okay i remember getting you once" yunjin cut in.
"once to my 7 kills on you" you retorted.
"shut up y/n"
all of you were standing to do the outro when yunjin mumbled, "i feel like this was a very unbalanced game"
"balanced rematch part two?" you asked looking around at the team.
"how many likes for it?" kazuha asked as she wrapped one of her arms around your shoulder pulling you towards her.
"100K?" you turned to look at the rest of the group to see if they agreed.
"this was fun i'm down to do it again" sakura agreed with you.
"i wanna be on y/n's team next time" yunjin said going closer to the camera, "so y'all better get this to 100K"
the rest of the group agreed and started doing the outro for real this time.
you wrapped an arm around kazuha's waist leaning even more into her. you two ended the video practically all over each other knowing it would make people freak out over the interaction.

I know this from yesterday but didnt see this until today. I dont think its fair to blame fans for how things went with this whole thing. Fans wouldnt have been aware of anything had they actually had been private like he claims he likes. I'm not even counting him following her on ig because at the time he was following whole bunch of women so this could have been just seen as another random girl. it's everything after that. Its not like he wasnt aware of what being active on social media regarding her would do considering a year before he had to turn off his location because of the whole Lily James situation and him being caught in England a few times. Her friends pretty much hinted at being at his house in MA, in his Vermont place, LV during the first New Year, her best friend showed them in a plane from Portugal purposefully showing the map on the map. Then him ending up in a Portugal hotel that started the fan uproar yet they still continued including his friends. I mean after all the London/Lily James thing how could he be dumb enough to openly post from a Portugal hotel after spending New Years with the Portugal crew. You can't tell me he's super private and it's all fans fault when he doesn't do anything to protect his private life. Instead of just confirming the relationship then, he kept quiet ignoring the rumors, but his family and friends kept following her. Were the hoping that fans would believe that all his people were just fans of this random girl from a whole different country that was hardly known. Then the 2nd New Year where her friends did the same thing with the hinting and his family/friends posted that time too from similar places.
And then let's talk about the wedding. No one would have known they were getting married yet all of sudden blogs on tumblr got confirmation about an engagement and then the wedding and we're supposed to believe that was some random person leaking that info? If that wedding was as private as they stated in the articles no one would have known about it until after but it was leaked and it had to be by someone close enough to him.
There are plenty of celebrities some a lot bigger than him who've had private relationships. They dont share on social media, they dont give out statements, they dont hint, their families and friends are just as private. i mean most the time fans don't have full knowledge of family or friends of celebrities. But with Chris he himself and his friends/family have literally made it obvious they are associated with him, he kind of used them as PR. Celebrities that say they want privacy make sure they are private, Chris hasn't ever been completely private his own best friend allowed his fan pages to follow her where. And this relationship was never private from the beginning, if you compare his past relationships to this one you'd know none of this was private.
i'm not sure if this response to the anon's ask or my answer in that post? but if it is in response to my answer then there's been a misunderstanding somewhere because i agree with you.
while i do think some fans do too much, the bigger point i was making is that if any celeb wants to be private, they can be.
everything that we see is purposeful.

Brighten My World - Tasneem x fem reader (Chapter 4)
Tumblr media
Chapter 1
Previous Chapter
warnings: threatening, mentions of toxic parent
word count: 1.210
---------------------
“Hey, (f/n). Why have I never been over at your house?”, Tasneem wondered on our way to eat lunch.
She was feeling more confident with eating around me by now and I was always right there if her mind was trying to trick her.
“Um … I dunno. I guess it just never happened”, I supposed. “You didn't miss out on anything though.”
“I know you talked to my mom”, she confessed.
I stared at her with wide eyes, not daring to say anything as I was waiting for her to elaborate.
She pushed my shoulder playfully, making me stumble a step to the side. “Don't look at me like that! It's all good. She actually apologized to me. She told me that she noticed my improved mood since you're around and that she wants me to stay like that, even if it means that I won't keep up with all my commitments. It feels like she's finally beginning to see me.”
A bright smile captured my face. “I'm so happy to hear that, Tasneem”, I proposed.
“Thank you”, she shot back. “Seriously. For everything.”
Her smile was making my heart flutter. The urge to take her hand in mine was almost unbearable, but I knew we had to stay low in that aspect at school.
“So … back to the initial topic. I realized that my mom is completely used to you showing up whenever and I don't even know yours”, she pointed out.
“You don't need to know her”, I insisted.
“Why are you so against it?”, Tasneem inquired.
By now we were sitting outside to eat. The weather was great, which was nothing new.
“Are you afraid that she might embarrass you? Because I'd laugh about some silly childhood stories, but it would only make me adore you more”, she continued.
“Or is it because of our relationship?” She had lowered her voice for that question.
“She doesn't need to know if you don't want to.”
“No, it's not that. We just don't have the kind of relationship you and your mom have and I'm pretty sure you'll be disappointed. Or rather upset, maybe”, I claimed.
“What do you mean?”, she questioned, concern written over her face.
“It's just … I know she loves me, in some way at least. But most of the time we're living separate lives. When I was struggling with Layan's death, she told me to suck it up and stop grieving over what's gone because I won't get it back anyway. I know she meant to give me good advice. We just don't get along that well”, I explained.
Tasneem placed her hand on my forearm, a supportive gesture I appreciated a lot.
“She's pretty much a hypocrite. She wants me to tell her about my feelings and plays the concerned mom, but the next day it's like our conversation never really happened and she just wants me to go on as if everything was fine. That's why I couldn't even talk about Layan a few weeks ago. I hadn't been allowed to grieve”, I stated.
“I'm sorry, (f/n). That's awful”, she noted.
“You helped me through it”, I proposed. “I just don't want her to screw our relationship up. You know … make 'helpful' comments or trigger you in any way. I like our life the way it is right now.”
“Me too”, Tasneem agreed, smiling. “But whether you like it or not, your mom is still a crucial part of your life and I'd like to meet her someday.”
“Okay”, I gave in. “But we'll do it on a day my dad comes home early. He's amazing, just busy a lot of the time, thanks to his job. So I don't get to be with him much.”
“It's settled the...”, she decided.
“Hey, Tasneem!”, Hiba called out, approaching us.
A smug grin was adorning her face while she was scanning the way we were sitting, Tasneem's hand still on my forearm.
“What's up with you recently?”, Hiba questioned. “Why are you spending all your time with that loner? What's your plan?”
“Isn't it obvious? I'm spending time with her because I enjoy it and I'm not spending it with you because you're being a bitch about it”, Tasneem declared.
Hiba was having difficulties to control herself. At least I assumed that reading her body language before she stormed off without another word.
“I can't believe her”, Tasneem ranted.
“Maybe you should talk to her?”, I suggested. “The real kind, without just clawing at each others throats.”
“I don't think that'll do”, she presumed. “Hiba's kinda living in her own little world, thinking she's the boss and has to be in control all the time. I doubt resonating with her would work out.”
“I just don't like standing in between you”, I confessed.
“It's not you. We've been having issues for quite some time now”, she reassured me. “But that's enough with all the serious talk. Let's plan something to do on the weekend.”
Somehow changing topics was easy for once, relishing in the positive aspects of our lives. Laughing together with her just felt like every bad thing was gone. So from that point on the break ended quicker than I wished for.
At the end of the school day Tasneem and I were about to head out together like we always did. Even when I did not tag along, Tasneem insisted to walk me to the bus to cherish any moment together we could get.
But today she had forgotten one of her books in the classroom. So she had to head back while I was waiting in the corridor, close to the exit.
Everyone else had already left. At least that was what I had thought until Hiba pushed me into the bathroom that was right next to me.
“What the hell?”, I exclaimed, regaining my stance.
“What did you do?”, Hiba interrogated me.
“What do you mean?”, I inquired confused.
“What did you do to make Tasneem hang out with you? You're a loner. A nobody. Why would she want to keep you around?”, Hiba questioned, her voice dripping with disgust.
“This is between you and Tasneem. You should talk to her about it”, I suggested.
Hiba took a step toward me, getting dangerously close. Honestly it was intimidating, but I stood my ground anyway, not putting distance between us again.
“You should stay away from her”, she advised me.
“Won't happen”, I assured her.
“You'll regret that”, she warned me.
“I don't think so. But maybe you should question your behavior if you want Tasneem to be your friend because I'm pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate what you're doing right now”, I considered.
“I'm gonna make your life a living hell”, she threatened me.
“I don't think that will be possible. I've already been through hell and yet here I am. I don't go down that easily”, I promised, not suppressing the grin that was forming on my face.
“We'll see”, she alluded and left me behind.

WIP Wednesday, Baby!
Thank you for tagging me @throughtrialbyfire!! Gonna tag @molliehaswords, @bokatan, and @kemendin, as well as whoever reads this! Consider your ass tagged!
Anywho, I've gone on like, a massive writing binge that showed up outta nowhere, so the hard part's gonna be what to actually post lmao. I think I'll go ahead and give you a snippet of the next chapter of Arenthia Red. We're at the top of the roller coaster baby, and it's all downhill from here!
“Are, um…” Lucien hesitated, taking the drink she offered gratefully. “Are you alright?”
“That obvious, huh?” she groaned, yanking the cork from her bottle, taking a long drink before continuing. “I will be. Just, ugh, not only did we get dragged halfway across the province over a hunch an old Blade had, it had to be the most insufferable one I’ve had the displeasure to meet.”
“You’ve met other Blades? When?” Marasa gave him a flat look, tapping on the Dominion insignia on her brigandine. “Oh… right.”
“Yes, I did not like the way she tried to push you around. We do not know her.” agreed Inigo before grinning. “Though I think you got under her skin just as much. That was quite fun to watch.”
“She certainly rubbed me the wrong way as well. And Inigo is right,” Xelzaz chimed in. “If she’s a Blade, and you’re Dragonborn – isn’t she supposed to take orders from you?”
“Well, no one said she was good at her job.” Rooting through his pack, Nebarra grumbled without looking up – seemingly getting more annoyed by the second while his bottle sat untouched. Marasa bumped his shoulder, holding a spare reed out for him. He looked at her – presumably curiously, not that she could tell – for a moment before taking it with a quick, mumbled thanks.
Their conversation ebbed and flowed as some grabbed a hot meal, or in Marasa and Nebarra’s case, a few more rounds. She was just happy to take the conversation off of Delphine and on to… anything else, really. Lucien and Xelzaz had gotten into some kind of scientific debate she wasn’t even going to pretend to understand, so she tuned them out. Instead, she and Inigo reminisced about the jobs they’d done when she first arrived to Skyrim – the ones she could remember, anyway. Even Nebarra spoke up a few times. Despite her insisting her forgiveness, even if it was a bit slurred by now, Inigo still expressed guilt over how their partnership had ended. She wouldn’t let him continue the self-flagellation, though, and tried to steer the conversation elsewhere.
“C’mon, tell me something fun!” she hiccuped, well into her third bottle by now. Her volume had been steadily increasing with each one and the other bar patrons were beginning to take notice. She could very much be a loud drunk. “Besides the Rift, what’s your favorite place you’ve been to?”
“Well, my brother and I spent a lot of time in Cyrodiil. The trees in the Great Forest were very pretty in the autumn, almost as nice as the Rift.” She nodded along, though her smile faltered, brows knitting together. Maybe talk of the forest made her feel homesick, he reasoned. He’d skim over that, then. “We found much work in the area, especially in Chorrol. There were many beasts and bandits that needed to be taken care of. We had a great time there.”
“C-Chorrol…?”
Something about her tone immediately caught Nebarra’s attention.
“Yes! If you have not been, I recommend you visit. It is a very nice city.” When she didn’t respond, his tone softened, colored with concern. “My friend?”
“I…” Her throat felt dry, armor felt too tight – too hard to breathe. Their eyes were all on her, she knew they were, boring into her, watching every move. Her chest pounded, and she could feel sweat pricking the back of her neck. She needed… She needed –
Marasa shot to her feet and turned heel to her room, not looking back and slamming the door behind her. The table fell silent, all of them watching where she’d gone. Inigo’s cheery attitude fell guilt-ridden once again, ears pinned back. He wasn’t sure what happened, but it had to be his fault. He was about to follow her when Nebarra held a hand up.
“Don’t. Let her be.”
“But I need to apologize. I do not know what I said, but I have made her upset –”
“Do it later.” he said firmly.

i like stampede, but i do agree with a lot of the criticisms people have of the writing, i just feel like it's hard to actually verbalize because i don't feel like we're being given enough hints of like. where the show is headed (besides the obvious) for me to say if it's doing a good job of that but i will say the differences in livio's introduction really stood out to me because like. i'd literally just been reading his manga introduction. like not even going into razlo & him finding the EOM, there's one page of livio telling nick, "You wouldn't understand, i was made to feel worthless. have you ever felt anything like that?" and wolfwood responding with the most unamused face & going "yes." & even just that one interaction tells you a lot about who livio is & what he was going through before he got to the orphanage.
and like, i don't think the backstory format they chose would fit particularly well with that kind of conversation (though its not like they don't have time to add it in later) but it does make for a pretty different first impression. stampede livio seems a lot more... docile than he did in the manga & i have to wonder if that's because that's how we're supposed to see him, or because we're looking at things through wolfwood's eyes

Many as you want with Pete for the ask game? Fun questions for him
I ended up just picking and choosing a few. Questions like 1 though have the all-rounder answer of the retcon with SQS.
-
2 - Canon/Headcanon hill I will die on - The fucked up relationship between him and Boone. Even ignoring everything else the way it complicates everything even further is fun. S1 was insane.
10 - Best moment on screen - His death scene is one of the best scenes in the show.
12 - Crack headcanon - Got suspended for spying on the teachers' lounge (thank you @nocakesformissedith)
13 - Dumbest thing they've done - See above. His brother's never let that go.
14 - Most heroic moment - In his mind? Killing Boone. He'd say killing Chanel, if he'd succeeded.
15 - Worst thing they've ever done - Killing Boone. Letting Chanel get away. He's pretty sure Denise wouldn't have stopped talking to shoot him anyway.
16 - W̶̫̫̘̄Ḧ̷̢́A̵͉̜̝͕̐͛͑̋͊̓̊̇͒ͅͅT̵̠̰̼̰̼̥̪̣͖̐̉̌͋̈̔̓͘ ̸̦̯͎̑͆̿̂͌̈́̏̓͘D̵͕́̎̈́̓̋̃̂̚Į̵̯̤͓͊̏̀͑͠D̴̄̑̋͜͜ ̴̡́̿̐̔́̂̏͝Ȳ̸̛̭́̔͌̆̕Ó̷̫̺̘̜̯̓Ṵ̵̡̰̼͔̯̜́̿̚͘͜ ̷͇̩̈D̵̡̧̙̻̜̳͎̹̗̋̓͆͑͑̑̔͌̚Ǫ̶̻̊̀̄ ̶̡̢̲̠̬͓͍̯͉́̌̆̄̔̄̃͝Ǵ̸̨͖̺̳͉́̋̑̔͜͝R̷̢̺̻͉͎̜͌̌͐̈́̋̕͘͠ͅA̸͚̱͔̱̗͘C̵̢̢̫̤̩͚̉̉̎̈̈́̔͑̚Ȩ̴̗̗̪͉̟̜̫͚̏͌?̶̺̳̺̝̌̿̀̍̿͊͝
17 - Quotes/Songs/Poems/Etc - Could easily link the playlist here but for now I suppose I'll just say The Killing Kind.
18 - What they'd go to see a therapist about - Not actually an answer for this question but someone would have to force him and/or prompt him to see a therapist and it really wouldn't help much at all. He'd spend most of the time just... talking about whoever. Grace, usually, if we're talking canon-timeline. Or Chanel. Anything he'd agree to try himself he'd just agree to so the topic could change, he'd very rarely actually go through with any of it.
19 - Vices/Bad Habits - Well that has quite obvious answers, doesn't it?
31 - If they had a tumblr, what would it look like? - Ashfur apologist Pete.

Sorry, I usually do not respond to reblogs of the stuff that I post because I don't want to detract from anything anyone else has to add to any conversations, so please let me know if you'd rather I delete this response and I will do so ASAP!
But there were just a few things here that I really did want to continue the discussion on (since I want to be talking about Aventurine 25/7 lol):
1. "I’ve seen some people point it out in the comments but I think it’s pretty heavily implied that the IPC were the ones to capture and enslave him originally."
I definitely agree that the line about the "guys in black didn't say much" is really weird and does imply that, at the very least, IPC members were at the slave sale and watching what was happening when Kakavasha was sold.
Tumblr media
However, there's a couple logistical issues with the idea of the IPC being the ones to capture and sell him themselves:
A) Based on Kakavasha's appearance in this scene, it has to have been at least ten years since the Avgin-Katican extinction event. If we say that the IPC could have picked him up at or after the massacre, that would mean the IPC kept Kakavasha for ten+ years just to then randomly decide to sell him off, which doesn't make that much sense to me, and nothing like that is mentioned in his story.
B) If it was the IPC selling Kakavasha, why would they use a local currency that (based on Jade's reaction to it) is worth literal pennies compared to IPC credits? The amount that an IPC member would stand to gain from making a transaction in red tanba coins doesn't seem like it would even remotely justify the effort to sell an intractable prisoner like Kakavasha. (And especially if the IPC has been on the planet for years already--should they not have switched to credits? Getting new planets on the same economic credit system is like IPC takeover step number one.)
C) If, again judging by appearance, many years have passed since the massacre, does it make any actual sense for the IPC grunts stationed there to even know anything personally about the Avgin massacre anyway? In order to know anything directly about the massacre, they would have had to be stationed on Sigonia years and years ago and kept their jobs there for over a decade, which seems kind of unlikely for the lower-ranked "guys in black."
Basically, the whole line is very odd given the amount of time we're supposed to believe has passed since Kakavasha was a child in the desert.
So my thoughts go in two possible directions here: First, that the IPC grunts were just present at the slave sale (maybe actually stationed there or maybe just for their own entertainment) and could have simply joined in on the natural gossip that would spring up when an Avgin was the person for sale.
Or, second, something that is pure speculation and I don't have evidence for but seems like it might resolve some of the logistical issues: We know Kakavasha scammed the IPC not once but twice. His first scam against them was not at Egyhazo but on Sigonia.
If the Egyhazo fraud was an obvious attempt to get himself caught by the IPC, is it possible that his first fraud on Sigonia was also an attempt to get himself caught by the IPC?
It seems possible that Kakavasha could have taken a gamble and tried to get himself caught by the IPC to do exactly what he did with Jade later on--only to not succeed. Perhaps instead of making it to a higher-up willing to take his bet and invest in him, he got caught by lower-rung IPC members, who realized they could take out their anger about being tricked by him--and line their own pockets with a tiny quick buck--by selling Kakavasha off as a slave instead of turning him in to their boss.
If IPC grunts were actually directly involved in Kakavasha's sale, this seems like a possible explanation. But there isn't really any evidence for this, just what seems most logical to me.
2. "But I think it’s unreasonable to suggest that Aventurine knows nothing about him, let alone that he’s unaware that he’s behind the situation on Sigonia."
Sorry, I saw a couple people saying my original post suggests Aventurine doesn't know anything about Oswaldo Schneider, so I guess I should have bolded the text in that section, but what I actually mentioned about Aventurine's knowledge of Oswaldo was:
"It is very likely that Aventurine is smart enough to figure this out or do the research to learn it, but as of right now, we don't have that confirmation in game."
Theoretically, I agree that, at this point, Aventurine has access to enough information to have figured out Schneider's role in the Avgin extinction; I was just noting that the game hasn't actually confirmed that he does yet.
However, there are two things I think might be useful to add to conversation:
A) Kakavasha appears to have actually been very out of the loop before joining the Stonehearts. Even if we say he was actually very young when joining the Stonehearts (say 18-19 years old), we're still looking at a minimum of ten to twelve-ish years since the massacre. In ten+ years, he was never informed or had the opportunity to learn that the Avgin had essentially all been murdered, and had to ask Jade for that information? Boy did not have access to the news at all before joining the IPC.
So, given that he didn't even know all the Avgins were dead before joining the Stonehearts, I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say he knew about Schneider's role in the massacre and that was an original motivating factor for him trying to infiltrate the IPC. It seems reasonable that he might know it now, but it also seems clear he did not know it at the time he joined.
B) Information about Oswaldo Schneider is actually canonically extremely hard to come by. Boothill only even got Oswaldo's name by forcibly breaking into the Garden of Recollection.
Tumblr media
We also know Schneider's whereabouts are not public knowledge and Aventurine himself does not know where Schneider can be located, despite being a Stoneheart, so I'm inclined to think that information about Oswaldo's role in many of the Marketing Development Department's royal fuck-ups is very, very restricted and hushed up, to avoid PR nightmares for the IPC.
So yeah, I always lean on the side of Aventurine being hyper-competent because he is my obvious favorite (lol), but there do seem to be canonical reasons in-game that he might still not fully know the extent of Schneider's involvement in the Avgin massacre.
3. Re: Aventurine's reasons for staying in the IPC:
I'm inclined to agree that the connections between Ena and Gaiathra are a bit too numerous to be purely accidental, and I agree with your take that Jade seems like she has some connection to the Voracity (especially given her whole "create an endless whirlpool of ever increasing desires" schtick). I agree that it will be interesting to see how the situation with these symbols plays out in the future. However, that said, Ena was an ally of Qlipoth and (presumably at least) approved of the sense of order Qlipoth established in the world by combating forces such as Ouroboros, so it seems a bit strange that Ena might stand against Qlipoth's organization after previously being their ally.
(Then again, it's somewhat hinted that the IPC itself is not really all that faithful to Qlipoth anyway, despite their claims of being "All for the Amber Lord," since Qlipoth is said to not care about what the humans swarming around their body are doing...)
Also definitely agree that the wealth and power of the Stonehearts has no particular appeal to Aventurine anymore now that he can't use it to help his people (which is why I think he just throws the money away on frivolous things and gifts to others now).
That said, I don't think his self-destructive tendencies and suicidal nature can be connected much to the IPC; he had these traits before joining them, and I strongly suspect he'd have them even if he'd never joined the IPC either. The loss of his family, people, home, freedom, bodily autonomy, and literal innocence after being forced to murder other people in a Hunger Games-esque death maze definitely sent him into a spiral separate from anything going on in the IPC.
I totally agree that he currently has no sense of purpose with the IPC--but I just don't think he'd have any sense of purpose without the IPC either. Hard agree the IPC doesn't make him happy, but pre-Penacony, I honestly don't think anything could have made Aventurine happy. It's like "Why bother even wanting to leave the IPC when I have nothing outside of it?" At least with the IPC he does have material comfort, people to talk to, and some goals to be working toward, even if his methods for chasing those goals are just hurting himself even more in the long-run.
I also definitely agree the IPC isn't really doing any active good by him--they're literally profiting off his willingness to throw himself into death's jaws--but they're also the ones telling him to chill. 😂 And it is clear that Topaz is probably one of the only legitimate friends Aventurine has. Even some of the others, like Pearl, seem to think relatively kindly of him (and hey, even Sugilite is like "Pfft look at this loser trying to kill himself" lol), so I don't think that Aventurine is receiving nothing from being part of the Stonehearts.
This is just my personal take, not really based on evidence, but I think Aventurine's original relationship with the IPC can be described as something close to "mutual parasitism." The IPC is using Aventurine for profit--but, at least until the end of Penacony--Aventurine was using the IPC to seek opportunities for death. They were both using each other.
Now that Aventurine no longer wants those opportunities for death, he'll have to redefine what his relationship to the IPC will be, and I think that this is what we'll see from his character moving forward--him deciding where his loyalties will lie, whether pro-IPC to genuinely aid the Stonehearts in the War of the Aeons (which isn't a bad goal, even if the IPC's means are bad) or anti-IPC (with the intentions of taking down Schneider and the whole enterprise).
4. "You mentioned the Aventurine-Egyhazo case, one which is suspiciously named that considering Kakavasha was not Aventurine at that time, and would not have become him by the time it was granted a name."
I know people are fond of this idea that there was a previous Aventurine and Kakavasha killed him and took his place, so I absolutely don't want to rain on anyone's parade, and I think everyone should keep embracing every theory that they find fun and interesting... But personally I just can't get behind this theory because I just don't see any evidence in the game that Cornerstones are passed down from person to person, let alone that there's ever been previous generations of Stonehearts.
Although the IPC itself is old as hell, we don't have any proof the Stonehearts as an organization is particularly that old, and the fact that they're still in the midst of trying to win votes from the board of IPC trustees gives the impression that they're a relatively newer group. (For example, their known competition is Oswaldo Schneider, who is specifically noted to be have a "lack of experience" being one of the reasons he hasn't been promoted yet--these two departments are much newer than people are treating them.)
There hasn't been a mention in-game of any previous generation of Stonehearts, any Cornerstone ever being passed down, or Kakavasha being responsible for the death of a Stoneheart, which I feel would surely have come up at some point in his story.
I also don't realistically think it is possible for him to have been a slave and had a master at the time of the Egyhazo fraud case, as the people scammed first were not the IPC or Stonehearts but the Intelligentsia Guild, and their representatives were described as "extremely cautious" about believing Kakavasha. Would someone still trapped in slavery have the freedom to A) meet with the Intelligentsia Guild and B) convincingly sell them on the idea that he is a reliable source of information on aeonic remains? It seems unlikely an active slave would have the freedom to develop and carry out this fraud.
There's also the fact that the Egyhazo-Aventurine fraud case is only ever discussed as a fraud, not a murder case. A lot of people have drawn this connection between "murder of the master" and Egyhazo that just doesn't seem (to me at least) to actually exist in the in-game text. It's possible the Egyhazo fraud might have gotten some people killed, but it isn't treated anywhere in-game as being connected to any notable murder.
So I just really don't think there was a previous Aventurine. I'm sorryyyyy; I know people really like this theory!
But if there was no previous Aventurine, why would the case be called "Egyhazo-Aventurine"?
To be honest, I think the most likely explanation here is that the actual game writers just made a tiny flub and forgot that Kakavasha wouldn't yet be called "Aventurine" when they decided on what to name the fraud case.
Writing flubs in Star Rail are actually way, way more common than they seem, and several times in-game stuff has been retconned and revised as the game goes along. There's kind of glaring plot holes in multiple places, actually. (For example, Robin's backstory of losing her mother to the fall of the Stellaron specifically in Penacony doesn't make sense unless Halovians are a long life species or Penacony has more than one Stellaron that the devs just never bothered to tell us about lol.)
So, given that no mention was ever made in-game of there being a previous Aventurine or Kakavasha being responsible for the death of a Stoneheart, I am much more inclined to think this was a writing mistake than anything else.
However, if we really want to come up with an in-universe way this is possible, my thought would be: We know that Aventurine did his research on the Stonehearts before carrying out the Egyhazo fraud. We know he was gunning to see Diamond right from the beginning. So if you're deliberately setting yourself up to get the attention of the head honcho and your goal is to provoke the highest members of a specific group to look at you... Why not do it with maximum gumption?
Isn't it possible that Kakavasha himself gave "Aventurine" as a fake name when carrying out his fraud, deliberately to provoke the Stonehearts?
If you want to catch the attention of a specific group and your only means to do so is through sheer confidence alone, presumptuously naming yourself in their style seems like a great way to get their eyes on you.
Then Qlipoth said "Well you wanted to be Aventurine so bad, here you go!" lolol
(But this doesn't have any in-game evidence either, I'll admit, and I'm definitely inclined to think that the writing flub is actually the more accurate answer lolol.)
Again, I hope I don't come across as discouraging or disagreeable; I really think everyone should have and enjoy their own theories about the characters, as that's definitely the most fun. The previous Aventurine theory is just not my personal cup of tea.
Ah, and this is a tiny thing but I'm very nerdy and hyper-fixated on Aventurine's design so I can't help myself: "Moreover, considering that it seems like Aventurine’s watch was taken from his previous enslaver"--Aventurine's watch is canonically from Penacony actually!
Tumblr media
(This isn't to say I don't think Aventurine could have taken previous things from his old master though; personally I would have snatched anything worth value to sell while making my get-away, so I agree he could have taken the old master's watch too! I just think the social media character marketing posts Hoyo makes are very funny and cute so I want to share them at all times lolol.)
Anyway, sorry to have rambled at you so long like this; if you want me to delete this response totally just let me know; I know most people are not expecting a response to a reblog!! 😆
Thank you also for sharing all your thoughts too. I will latch on to any excuse to rant about Aventurine and seeing other people put so much thought into this character is my favorite thing in the world right now~
Fact Checking Some Myths About Aventurine and the IPC
Tumblr media
Especially in light of Jade's new myriad celestia trailer and the reveal of the other Stonehearts, I've seen a ton of wild claims about Aventurine--particularly how he's an unwilling member of the Stonehearts and needs to be saved from the IPC--that just aren't sitting right with me because they're based significantly more on the fanon take that Aventurine is an "innocent victim" than any actual evidence displayed in the game. So I wanted to take the time to collect some in-game evidence to see if we can sort out what Aventurine's actual relationship to the IPC is. Time to do some fact checking--this is a long one, buckle up!
Claim #1: Aventurine was sentenced to die by the IPC.
Verdict: There's no actual evidence that Aventurine was ever sentenced to anything.
This entire idea that Aventurine was actually successfully sentenced to die by the IPC comes from two pieces of "evidence" in the game. First, the scene with Dr. Ratio where those words are stated:
Tumblr media
Leaving aside whether the IPC legally has the right to sentence anyone to anything by themselves (they're a corporation, not an actual governing body), this is the exact line that Dr. Ratio fans have been bending over backward to prove is "just an act" and that Ratio would never actually mean this (because if he actually meant this, it would make him pretty racist). So if we've already busted our asses to prove this line isn't true and was just Ratio and Aventurine acting... why would we be using this line as evidence that Aventurine was actually sentenced to anything?
We can't say "This entire scene was an act because Sunday/the Family was listening in!" and then go "Okay, but this one part is definitely true (despite there not being any other evidence in game to corroborate the statement)." Either this scene is acting, and this line isn't true--or the line is true, and Ratio's kind of a racist. Make up your minds, people. 😂
Actually, I can help make up your mind. We can prove that this line is likely a strong part of Aventurine and Ratio's deliberate act because Ratio's comment (which took place in 2.0) doesn't actually make any sense once Aventurine's story is fully revealed (in 2.1).
Ratio relates Aventurine's slave brand to the IPC, suggesting that the brand is proof that Aventurine is "doomed" and "sentenced to die by the IPC." Ratio even goes so far to say "Or was it from the Amber Lord himself?"
But from 2.1, we know that Aventurine's brand had nothing to do with the IPC, and his former slave owner was definitely not an IPC employee (as he refers to the IPC the same as Aventurine's sister did, "the guys in black").
Tumblr media
Aventurine's brand came from being owned by a non-IPC-affiliated slaver--it had nothing to do with the Stonehearts or even Oswaldo Schneider.
So Ratio's entire comment linking the brand to the IPC makes no sense, and therefore his statement that the brand marks Aventurine as a "doomed Sigonian thrall sentenced to die by the IPC" also makes no sense.
Instead, I would argue that this line is a perfect example of the kind of exaggerated acting that Ratio and Aventurine were doing specifically to make the eavesdropping Family see Aventurine as an easy target. With this line, Ratio is emphasizing that Aventurine is a sitting duck without his Cornerstone, that he'll be weak and helpless--and that no one in the IPC will come help him, because they've already sentenced him to die. This is Ratio deliberately baiting Sunday into thinking that Aventurine will be easy, isolated prey without his Cornerstone--which is exactly what Aventurine wanted Sunday to think.
Tumblr media
This line, which comes from a scene that we've already established is a deliberate act to mislead someone, cannot be used as evidence of Aventurine's real situation within the IPC.
"But then what about the trial scene with Jade?!" I already hear people saying. "Aventurine was definitely going to be sentenced to death!"
I'm not arguing that death wasn't a possible option for Kakavasha initially; it's clear that committing severe enough crimes can earn you the death penalty in Star Rail's universe. But I think we need to take another good look at this scene and see what really happened here.
First, we need to clarify that this scene with Jade was not an actual trial. The scene begins with a broadcast which clarifies that the suspect in the "Egyhazo-Aventurine Fraud Case" was just caught, and the IPC are conducting investigations into the "motive of the suspect."
Tumblr media
So Jade's scene with Aventurine is not an actual trial (I mean... Jade's not even legally a judge!); it's an investigation with the goal of determining why Kakavasha would have tried to scam the Intelligentsia Guild and IPC at Egyhazo.
We can confirm that this scene with Jade is not an actual trial because she is even says "We haven't been able to find you any defense [lawyer], so you perhaps will have to defend yourself."
To which Aventurine responds that he easily could defend himself from the charges--but that it's pointless to do so. Why? Because he never intends to get to a trial in the first place.
Tumblr media
He's there to gamble with Diamond (who he asks to see right on the spot, indicating that he's done his research in advance and knows who the head honcho he needs to talk to is). Instead, Jade says that he'll have to gamble with her, to which he agrees, and lays down his terms.
Tumblr media
(He even says "I bet you won't send me to the gallows." We know that Kakavasha always wins his bets--he bet she won't send him off to a trial to be executed, and he once again won his bet!)
Jade, known for picking out "unpolished stones with great potential" and promoting them into positions of power to extract their value, agrees immediately, and literally tells Kakavasha to go change his clothes right then and there. She really said "I like your confidence; you're hired on the spot."
Tumblr media
So... This was not a trial, Kakavasha never went on trial, and because he never went on trial, we have zero evidence in-game that he was ever sentenced to anything.
The IPC doesn't give a shit about the murder of some no-name slaver (I mean come on, think of how many other murders they've covered up at this point--do you really think they're holding one past murder of a no-name NPC over Aventurine's head years later?).
They might give a shit about the money they lost on Kakavasha's schemes, but Jade's entire schtick is one of equivalence--having Kakavasha join the IPC as a Stoneheart means he will ultimately generate infinitely more wealth for them than his schemes ever cost them in the first place, and that's the central piece of Jade's statement in this scene:
Tumblr media
Is Aventurine's whole role in the Stonehearts exploitative, focused on his endless ability to win bets and generate profit? YUP. But that's ALL the Stonehearts' goal at this point--he's not unique in being "exploited" for his value. One look at Topaz confirms that.
So, ultimately, we have no evidence that Kakavasha was ever sentenced for his crimes, let alone that he was sentenced to die specifically by the IPC.
Claim #2: The Stonehearts will execute Aventurine if he tries to leave or fails his mission(s).
Verdict: There's no actual evidence for this either, beyond the obvious that most people in a powerful enough position in an evil corporation probably can't just up and quit their jobs without consequences.
Tumblr media
I've seen this idea that the Stonehearts are planning to execute Aventurine--either for his past crimes, for failing a mission, or for trying to leave the IPC--many, many places, and unfortunately, I really think people are reaching this conclusion strictly on "The IPC is evil" vibes alone.
The IPC is evil; they coerce nice people like Topaz to buying into lifelong contracts; they're colonizers and exploitative capitalists, so of course they would threaten to execute poor innocent Aventurine!
Look, I won't defend the IPC. They are evil. But post hoc, ergo proctor hoc--just because one thing is true, doesn't mean the other statement naturally follows.
Just because the IPC is evil and exploitative (and probably does kill people to shut them up) does not automatically mean they're out to execute Aventurine for the slightest mishap.
I've seen many people say "He was going to be executed for his past crimes, so what do you think will happen if he tries to leave the Stonehearts?" But A) We just established he never went to trial for those past crimes in the first place, so we have no idea if he would have actually been sentenced to death anyway, and B) We have no evidence in-game that any of Kakavasha's past crimes would be back on the table if he were to try to quit the IPC. This is literally just fanon, based on the vibes of the IPC being evil alone. Probably informed by Topaz's "lifelong contract" situation giving people the impression that everyone who works for the IPC has to have a lifelong contract.
What evidence do we have that Aventurine is not at-risk of being executed for screwing up a mission? I mean, Aventurine himself says it. When Jade first states that Aventurine might be punished for destroying a Cornerstone, the only two possible punishments he states are:
Tumblr media
If execution was on the table, wouldn't that have been the first punishment Aventurine listed?
And Jade's myriad celestia trailer also states that the only punishment on the table is whether Aventurine will be expelled from the Stonehearts:
Tumblr media
And the biggest proof that execution isn't on the table?
The fact that Diamond himself agrees that Aventurine should not be punished even for the serious act of willingly breaking a Cornerstone. If Aventurine can do something as serious as breaking part of Qlipoth's will and body, something he was told to treasure more than his own life, and still get away with it... You can bet the IPC really does not give a shit about his old schemes anymore. Aventurine is way too valuable alive for them to be constantly threatening to kill him.
Tumblr media
(But then what about Obsidian's statement that she wants a "bloodbath"? Surely that's evidence that he would have died if they voted against him?
First of all, "bloodbath" is a pretty common metaphorical term. I don't know about you, but any time people get into big drama at my work, this term comes up ["They were all talking shit; it was a total bloodbath"]. "Bloodbath" can mean any intense struggle; it's often not literal death.
However, I'm inclined in this case to say that the real reason Hoyo threw in this "bloodbath" line was just to double down on Obsidian's obvious vampire aesthetic. She's a "vampire." Duh, of course she needs to say something about blood. I think this line speaks more to establishing Obsidian's character as a violent, self-centered person than anything to do with Aventurine's actual situation.)
So, there is no actual evidence in the game that Aventurine is still being held accountable for his past crimes, or that the IPC is planning to execute him for messing up on a mission.
In fact, there are several pieces of evidence in the story suggesting the opposite, that multiple people, including the other Stonehearts, think he's kind of crazy for trying to get himself killed every mission he goes on.
When Aventurine was affected by the Harmony's power, the "future" Aventurine asks him this directly.
Tumblr media
"Why does every one of your schemes put your own life at risk?" And players are told the answer to that isn't because of the IPC--it's not because the Stonehearts are out here forcing Aventurine to gamble with his life. When the "Future" Aventurine suggests Aventurine might be taking these risks because of the IPC, real Aventurine flat out says "You don't know me at all." He's not taking the risks for the IPC--he's taking them for himself.
Tumblr media
Later, "Future" Aventurine even says that if Aventurine just used tactics like Opal's--which he claims Aventurine could easily do--then he would have been able to claim Penacony for the IPC without putting himself at risk at all. But Aventurine chose not to do that; he chose "death."
Because Aventurine is actually, at least slightly, suicidal. I don't personally think Aventurine would ever have turned a fully-loaded gun on himself and pulled the trigger, but he was actively seeking opportunities to die. Before Penacony ended, he was deliberately putting himself into situations where his life was at risk, taking unnecessary gambles with his life on the line--because then he would win either way. If he won the gamble, he would get whatever prize was promised, and if he lost the gamble, then he would have the "freedom" of death, to be reunited with his family. (It's important to note that the only time the word "freedom" is used in Aventurine's story through 2.1 is in direct reference to death--it is never used in reference to getting "free" from the IPC.)
Aventurine's plans were not self-destructive because of the IPC. They were self-destructive because he was self-destructive. And, in fact, multiple other members of the Stonehearts call out this behavior as a bad thing.
Jade describes Aventurine's ploy in Penacony as "overplaying his hand."
Topaz describes Aventurine's work habits as:
Tumblr media
Then there's even Sugilite, who clocks Aventurine's suicidal tendency directly by stating that Aventurine's "death" scheme in Penacony wasn't for the IPC at all--it was entirely for himself.
Tumblr media
If the Stonehearts were holding execution over Aventurine's head at all times, why would death be an "unnecessary [personal] extravagance"?
The takeaway from all the other Stonehearts' dialogue about Aventurine is that they actually think he goes too far and that his methods are more risky with his own life than they need to be.
Does that sound like a group of people who are planning to kill him on the drop of the hat?
Okay, okay, I can hear you saying "But that still doesn't mean he can leave the Stonehearts without consequences. They would kill him if he tried to leave."
To that I say: A) There's no actual in-game evidence for that statement; it's literally just "IPC is evil so they definitely would do this" vibes, but B) Is that statement really unique to Aventurine? Do you think Topaz could leave the Stonehearts without consequences? Do you think Jade could just fuck off and leave the IPC if she got the desire to?
It's pretty typical, I would think, that anyone who achieves a high-ranking in a stereotypical "evil capitalist mega-corporation" is not free to just abandon their high up position without consequences. The phrase "You know too much" comes to mind.
I'd argue that people are probably right--Aventurine probably could not leave the Stonehearts without something severe happening, at the very least a memory wipe--but that this is probably true of all the Stonehearts. They're too far up the chain. They know too much about the inner-workings of the literal planet-destroying world-domination company. They've had too much access to insider info to easily leave their positions.
Not being able to easily leave the position has nothing to do with Aventurine personally or his past crimes. It's just (at least likely) a basic fact of being too high up in the morally-grey-at-best super organization. (Well, then again, apparently no one even knows if Agate is dead or not, so maybe they actually don't even care lol.)
Claim #3: Aventurine didn't want to join the IPC; he's working with the IPC only because he's forced to.
Verdict: The game suggests in several places that Aventurine joined the IPC of his own free will. Whether he's still loyal to them is not 100% clear.
I think this is the biggest question mark I'm left with when reading other people's posts about Aventurine--this enduring idea that Aventurine never wanted to join the IPC and was only forced to do so because he was captured and death was his only other option.
But that is literally not what the game is telling us at all. The game tells us--in multiple places--that Aventurine orchestrated his own circumstances so that he could gain an audience with Diamond and win a position within the Stonehearts by his own gambles.
First, let's re-examine that scene with Jade. One of the first things Jade says is "What kind of person would come up with a scheme [the Egyhazo fraud] that doesn't benefit them in any way?"
Tumblr media
The takeaway from this is that Kakavasha did not actually stand to gain anything from scamming the Intelligentsia Guild into digging for Tayzzyronth's remains in the desert at Egyhazo. All he achieved with this fraud was putting himself at risk of being caught by the IPC.
Does that sound like Aventurine to you? The guy whose mantra is literally:
Tumblr media
So obviously, Aventurine stood to gain something from scamming the IPC at Egyhazo. What could he possibly have wanted to achieve by creating a scheme that seemingly didn't directly benefit him? Well, he says it himself:
Tumblr media
Aventurine wanted to be brought before the IPC. He got caught on purpose. He once again gambled with his own life, betting that, instead of being put on trial for all his past crimes, he could convince Diamond (though it ended up being Jade) to invest in him. The game literally tells you, in multiple places, that Aventurine was taking another one of his stereotypically crazy, potentially self-destructive gambles to try to achieve something:
Tumblr media
Aventurine wanted the IPC to invest in him. He wanted in on their power and wealth. No one in the IPC forced him to target their organization not once but twice with his "desert-digging schemes" when it is clear that Aventurine could easily make money elsewhere. No one forced him to suggest this gamble with Jade to convince the IPC to invest in him. No one forced him to, in the words of the game itself, "seek a Cornerstone."
Aventurine's character stories are the only indications we have (for now) about what his motivations for joining the IPC might have been:
Tumblr media
They suggest he joined with the intention of gaining wealth and power to help his people and others who aided him in the past--only to find out that that was no longer possible, invalidating his original reason for joining and likely leaving him without motivation or will to really even stay in the powerful position he had worked to get into. Part of his suicidality is likely linked to this--that he set himself a massive, unbelievable goal in an attempt to gain power and wealth to finally help his people--only to be entirely too late. But in any case, these character stories make it clear that he did personally seek to join the IPC of his own free will.
(And I mean, hello? The whole point of Jade as a character is being the one who sees people's desires and then grants them--ergo, Aventurine's desire was, in fact, to join the IPC himself.)
If we needed any more corroborating evidence for this, just consider everything post-Penacony, when Aventurine has decided that he does actually value his life now and wants to live. Aventurine would have had so many chances to "escape" the IPC if he so chose. First, he could easily have pretended to actually die within the Nihility. He could have entirely fucked off with Argenti's help, created a new identity, and made himself a pile of independent wealth from gambles, all without the IPC ever knowing where he went. But he didn't.
Then, he had a second chance to betray the IPC and fuck off again with Boothill's help. Boothill had already knocked out Aventurine's bodyguards at the door--there was literally no one else around. A little blood on the floor and no one would have doubted that the IPC-hating, wanted vigilante Boothill had done away with Aventurine.
Tumblr media
Hell, Aventurine knows the Trailblazer. One word to the Trailblazer, and Aventurine could board the Astral Express and be whisked off to the other side of the universe.
But none of those things happened. Aventurine made no effort to remove himself from the IPC--even though he knew he had broken a Cornerstone and would be facing possible punishment. He didn't even make a single mention of trying to "escape" the IPC at all.
Because he isn't trying to.
(And edit, an addendum, because I kept seeing this on Twitter too: A bunch of people were claiming that because Aventurine wasn't smiling when he got his Cornerstone back, that was evidence that he hates the IPC and doesn't want to be there:
Tumblr media
Like... did they forget that every single time Aventurine makes his major gambles, he has such anxiety that he can never convince himself to believe he'll actually win, to the point that the "Future" Aventurine accuses him of clenching his trembling hand beneath the table? Is it really that surprising that someone who never actually believes he's going to win would have a shocked face when he does win here, especially after witnessing the literal power of an aeon restore something he thought was broken forever? Come on now...)
Would the guy who always wins his gambles bet that he would get a promotion if he absolutely didn't want his job?
Tumblr media
People really, really seem to struggle with this aspect of Aventurine's character, going out of their way to ignore the game's text and suggest that he definitely absolutely would never, ever have joined the IPC of his own free will. People really hate the idea that Aventurine is a morally-grey character who makes choices that are actively harmful to himself, like willingly joining an organization that is exploiting him.
Knowing that the IPC played a part in the Avgin extinction, people literally cannot fathom that Aventurine would willingly join them.
But I think that denying this part of Aventurine's character is bad. There's no need to reduce Aventurine to an innocent, helpless victim who is being exploited against his will and who would never do a single evil thing himself. That's not who the game is telling us he is.
The game tells us, repeatedly, that Aventurine is a survivor who will do whatever it takes to succeed at whatever he sets his mind to--even up to murdering innocent people to survive himself. Up to willingly joining the IPC to seek wealth and power. He's not a 100% good person who is still being forced through an existence he has no control over.
He's a self-destructive gambler who makes terrible choices with his own life, and willingly joining the IPC to let the Stonehearts exploit his abilities is one of the most obvious indications of that in the game.
Please stop denying Aventurine his complex, three-dimensional character writing to make him your pure, innocent trauma woobie. I'm begging people.
Claim #4: Aventurine wants revenge on Oswaldo Schneider.
Verdict: There's no evidence in the game (yet) that Aventurine is even aware of Oswaldo Schneider's role in the Avgin extinction, let alone actively trying to seek revenge for it.
Personally, this one hurts me the most, because this is where I'd like to see the story going. I want it to be that Aventurine was partially motivated to join the IPC specifically to orchestrate an inside job and get the Avgins' revenge on Oswaldo Schneider.
But even I have to admit that there's currently no evidence for this at all in the story.
For one, we have no confirmation in-game that Aventurine actually knows Schneider's direct role in the Avgin extinction. Aventurine clearly knows that the IPC could have intervened (he was there; he saw they didn't do anything), but we have no actual confirmation in the game's text that Aventurine knows Schneider told his people not to get involved, leading to the massacre. The only reason we players know of this is relic text, which isn't available canonically to characters in the game.
It is very likely that Aventurine is smart enough to figure this out or do the research to learn it, but as of right now, we don't have that confirmation in game.
Similarly, we players are given no access to Aventurine's actual conversations with Boothill. We have no idea what they talked about other than this one statement:
Tumblr media
It seems likely, based on this, that Aventurine did say something to Boothill about being willing to go after Oswaldo Schneider, but we won't know for sure until the game reveals more.
What we do know is that even if Aventurine does give Boothill information on Oswaldo, it might not really be because Aventurine wants personal revenge.
Oswaldo's Marketing Development Department is basically the sworn enemy of the Stonehearts' Strategic Investment Department. The two groups are in an internal cold war, vying for "votes" from the seven board members who are actually leading the IPC.
Tumblr media
So even if we see Aventurine taking actions against Oswaldo, it might not be because of a personal grudge, but because literally Aventurine's entire department hates Oswaldo Schneider's guts on principle in the first place.
So it's very difficult to say what is going on with Aventurine and Oswaldo Schneider at this point, and in the end, we just need to wait for more information.
Phew, all right! That was definitely long enough. I've gotten it all off my chest. I hope I've managed to give people some more canon material to chew on for another look at Aventurine's character, which is rich and complex and definitely cannot be reduced to simply "pure innocent victim babygirl."
Maybe now I'll be a little less salty when I see misinformation spreading like a wildfire again on Twitter.
Maybe.
Ha ha, who am I kidding.

It seems like all of them holding up apartments come here then it seem like just the morlock now it seems like just the clones. And we did a study and we figured out something these clones and Tommy f are very bad news and it's in the movie The hulk where John remillard sanitizes the laboratory and causes a dirty bomb explosion and it's smaller but radiation is floating around and they all got warned and left and they weren't supposed to and he tried to retrieve them and what they're saying is we're higher-ups you get your f****** out of here they kept saying no and they got hit and it started figuring it out it's been a war and you guys should know that you're messing with us too in the same way now you expose yourself with this petty s*** no apartments b******* and yeah that's Petty and our son figured it out cuz I said all these houses are old and they're similar and it looks like my clan builds a lot of them and they're special stuff and they are. His Claire was there at Trinity and they were forced to stay some of them the second time and you regretted it because they could resist it and they're actually meteors meat eaters and you came from without your weapons out and you died and some of them know how the weather and they killed most of you and escaped and started working on you and made notes and sent into the max if anything happened to them and now you're doomed and you won't let apartments be built that's fine you don't need to live here and some of you want to but your little juvenile assholes saying s*** all day to her son and you're ruining things and Tommy F says don't do that and you won't listen you're getting fumigated no one wants to hear you and the warlock will try to take your place but right now they want to kidnap Max and her son and take them to Australia and they're just as bad and don't want apartments well son says is he going there and you force him to do it if they don't like it they can incorporated into the foundation is Ash and we won't put them in there but we do hear what he's saying they go into the wall because they should want apartments and they're stupid and they're trying to kidnap someone by doing nothing now it's obvious what they have to do but they can't do it with the clones down below cuz they'll just launch your ships and laugh at them as they drop huge bombs in Australia if they can't stop. And that's true his other aspects of it but really they all both plan on doing something stupid and that's why we get to run around so we got everything ready and a sense is probably say yes but in absentia meaning he took off and went on vacation to Columbia thinking he was blessed as I did a bunch of different township planners
Thor Freya my son said the last three lines and it goes on down below well I can clarify we're going to have a problem tomorrow getting a plans approved and the next day and the next day and they'll sit there like Max and others did BGA Trump and they're obstructing everything so they need to have their asses here in Florida and hello and right now
Thor Freya
and Mac agrees that Columbia was probably the place and they have really cheap tourism packages as compared to other places like Barbados it's pretty sure a few of them went there already and they don't know about Garth. And yeah dead men don't tell tales so if they went to Garth's place oh well. Furthermore we don't have to explain to you people you're doing things are massively illegal and you don't live down the last how much a gay boys and deviance and we want you down
Mac daddy
