Reminder for those who don’t know Kaiyo is velvet and Veneer’s 11 1/2 year old little brother who’s trans female to male but he isn’t on hormone blockers yet.

“It’s Natural Kaiyo”

(Tw: mention of blood and periods)

Velvet and Veneer quickly scrambled around rushing to their little brother. Velvet knocked on the door “Kaiyo you ok is everything alright-“ Veneer cut her off “we heard you scream!!”

Kaiyo shyly opened up his bathroom door peeking out his head “I- I.. um.. I’m bleeding!”

“Where?! Where are you bleeding” veneer being in big brother mode panics a bit but velvet on the other hand it suddenly clicked for her.

The young Mount Rageon/Troll hybrid tightened his hand against the belt of his kimono blushing with embarrassment. “I’m bleeding.. I’m bleeding there…” Kaiyo pointed down

“We need to take Kaiyo to the hospital we need to!-“ velvet huffs loudly and crosses her arms “veneer we don’t need to take Kai to the hospital”

“B- but he’s bleeding we need to-“ veneer gets cut off by velvet again “veneer calm down!” She crosses her arms before looking at Kaiyo smiling softly. “Kaiyo now are you having any sort of pain?” The older female Rageon asks gently.

“My stomach does have some cramps..” Kaiyo responds fidgeting with the sleeves of his Kimono. “I also have a stain on my kimono from where I’m bleeding..” Velvet bends down to Kaiyo’s height “Kaiyo sweetie you’re experiencing your first period”

“My first period…” the young Rageon/troll stuttered a little as Velvet stood up and opened the bathroom closet grabbing Kaiyo a fresh pair of boxers, shorts and a new kimono “don’t worry Kaiyo you’re big sister knows what to do!” She handed them over to Kaiyo and softly explained to Kaiyo how to use the pads.

“I’ll get Kaiyo the heating pad and make him some hot chocolate!” Veneer says before running off into the kitchen as Kaiyo starts changing Into the fresh clothes Velvet had given him.

Once Kaiyo was changed into some fresh clothes he walked out of the bathroom holding his stained Kimono. “Do you think the stain will come out?” He sighed softly “of course it will it just needs a good wash” velvet gently took the kimono Kaiyo was holding. “I’ve washed these kinda stains out all the time from my skirts and shorts.”

“It’s still sorta embarrassing.. it’s like I had an accident but like it comes every single month! Ugh!” The young Rageon/troll hybrid crossed his arms scowling a little. “It’s not embarrassing Kaiyo not embarrassing at all! Speaking from experience here” Velvet explained as she put Kaiyo’s kimono she was holding into the red laundry basket.

When Velvet and Kaiyo got to the kitchen Veneer was already pouring some hot chocolate in a mug for Kaiyo. “Here’s your hot chocolate kiddo” veneer says as he saw Kaiyo sat down in a chair carefully placing the mug on the table in front of him.

Kaiyo took a sip of hot chocolate before he as Veneer sat next to his younger sibling “those cramps feeling a little bit better?” He asked softly “a little also I’m sorry I screamed like that”

He then put down his mug facepalming himself “ughhh i just remembered we have a photoshoot at the pool tomorrow! Shoot if I wear a pad it’ll bleed right through” Velvet puts a comforting hand on Kaiyo’s shoulder “Well what if you wear a red swimsuit if you’re worried about it?” She suggested. Kaiyo leans back in his chair thinking “that could work..” he says to himself.

If Mount Rageons were trolls

Inspired by @ohposhers' Trolls!V&V AU and some conversations I had with @octomyth about their Floyd’s Apprentice AU.

Mount Rageon Trolls are descended from Pop Trolls.

Before the Bergens rounded up the Pop Trolls, the Mount Rageon Trolls’ ancestors moved up Mount Rageous and made a home there, effectively evading capture at the Bergens’ hands.

In the generations that followed, they developed technology that advanced quickly.

They stopped relying on their hair extension abilities as they see little or no use in said abilities due to the conveniences of advancing technology.

They kept their hair-color-changing ability for fashion and vanity reasons. Also, disguises.

Vanity, greed, and pride became common among them. That is not to say they are incapable of kindness, compassion, or love though.

Traits:

Their bodies are flexible, stretchy, and more durable than those of other trolls, but their bodies cannot stretch as far as their hair can.

Their hair, which they hardly use to leap or grapple anymore, is also noodly and rubberhose-y.

While their bodies can withstand a lot of impact or abuse compared to trolls of other tribes, that does not mean they cannot feel any pain.

They have no fur—not even peach fuzz. Their skin has that rubber-like texture and sheen.

Have you noticed the difference in lip shape between Velvet and Veneer? I wonder if this has to be another way to tell apart male from female (other than the lashes of course). Your thoughts??

(sorry it took me a bit to get back to you) I have! when I draw V&V, I've noticed that Velvet's top lip has a very defined cupid's bow while Veneer's is round.

I don't think it's another way to differentiate male and female Rageons, though. I was looking through some pictures and screenshots, specifically the Rageons that have eyelashes, and tried looking out for that detail and couldn't find it.

I started thinking that maybe the female Rageons have more blush on their cheeks (like Velvet compared to Veneer), but it seems inconsistent. some have more while others have less (take, for example, the last picture).

I think those details are things that the animators might plan to work on if the Rageons are shown in future Trolls media. that or Velvet's just the only girl in Mount Rageous who has a cupid's bow lol.

I tried looking at pictures of Velvet in the flashback to see if her lip shape is the same (I was wondering if Velvet got surgery), and it's hard to tell. I thiiiinnnnkkkk it's the same...?

I feel like I'm thinking too deep about this lol. thanks for the question, though! :D
