i was minding my business during lunch break, and so i watched some legion mate episodes.

i was watching the one where kai and the gang are in leon's island thing and kai is just like reminiscing about aichi a.k.a. push kai into the water until he understands episode

i didn't realize that my classmate sitting next to me was watching because i was just. Too Into It. and all of the sudden he goes like.

"damn that man is gay. why does he keep mentioning this aichi dude so much are they like?? together??"

and me, being the most insane vanguard fan (there was a boy who still played the game but i think thats just about it) in the class was like "WELL YEA HE FUCKING IS"

we finished the whole episode just pointing out how gay toshiki kai is and thats how you make friends kids

Saw people talking about not liking first person, which is fair, but their reasoning was like "I would not do that" and I don't understand that mindset.

First person stories are still about a character. A character making their own decisions. First person isn't about you???? At least I thought it wasn't. What am I missing? I've always seen first person as just a more in-depth look into a character's mind and stricter POV. Not as a reader stand-in.

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

*yes sorry i mean usage i posted this before bed :( i do not mean the hard drive is full aaaaghhhh
