Apparently the OP of the post I recently reblogged on the subject is anti-endo, oops, so deleting that and making my own post. (We do not support fakeclaiming and accusing people of being wrong about their own experiences in this house.)

Look, the fake tails vs real tails thing isn't something I really want to get into a whole debate about, but the short of it is,

there's no one right-all-the-time answer for whether to get a fake tail or a real one, practically or morally speaking.

Many real tails come from unethical sources, yes, and people should be careful about where they get any real animal parts from - but the answer is not "never buy real tails, only ever get fake ones." There are a lot of reasons a fake tail might not work for someone, and moreover, faux fur is plastic and every time it gets washed or wet it puts microplastics into the environment. Ecologically speaking, it is worse for the world than real fur.

And on the flipside, there's reasons a real tail might not work for someone - they might be personally uncomfortable with touching the fur of a dead animal, or they might not be able to afford a tail they're sure is ethically sourced (as it's often harder to find affordable tails that aren't coming from unethical sources).

Quit yellin' at each other about the One True Moral Way and instead focus on a) education about how to tell if a fur source is likely to be treating their animals poorly (though it's not as common as you might think, from what I've read, because if you treat animals poorly the quality of their fur tends to go to shit), and b) education on the cons and pros of each type of tail.

It's the unabashed hypocrisy from (so many people in) the wider fandom that's the most upsetting. You all were horrible to us when Izzy died - you doubled down on the character hate, you mocked us, you told us it was just a tv show and to get over it already (that I had to make a post not even 36 hours post finale assuring people it was alright to still be upset speaks volumes, "we gave you space to grieve" is a flat out lie), you told us that there were other queer characters and other shows and S2 ended SO WELL and SO HAPPILY and tied up everything SO PERFECTLY just in case! (*wink wink nudge nudge* because it's not like anything is going to ever go wrong for YOU. You like the RIGHT characters best. You're PURE).

And now you're doing all that and I felt truly sorry for that "rug pulled out from under me" feeling because hey, a bunch of us were there months ago, not that you cared, but it sucks. It really sucks. It sucks they killed Izzy like that. It sucks the show was cancelled. I hope it gets another chance. But mostly I hope some of you gain the tiniest shred of self-awareness and compassion from this experience.

PS - I signed the petition before S2 aired because the Canyon was already working on renewal then and the campaign was able to take off so quickly when the news hit because of their hard work (along with others, but you all literally bullied one of the dedicated leaders off twitter in November with your cruelty so congrats)

I just have to say, there's constructive discussion about what the show isn't getting right and then there's attacking people who are still enjoying it for what it is, more or less labeling them as bad fans or not "true" fans.

(And then getting mad when people call out what you're doing.)

Fuck it. Since I'm being spat on and tarnished by jc antis I'm unashamedly doing call out posts as they have harassed me on all my posts and got their little friends to gang up on me. Starting with this "lovely" person

Calling me an abuse apologist just because I said that madame yu had tough love methods..... I was in no way excusing her abuse towards wwx with that FYI. Wwx wasnt even mentioned in the og post.... Never once denied she was abusive in the post either (in fact i ackowledged her abuse numerous times in the post and how her children act around her. But apparently you willfully missed that part). I said she had tough love methods towards her children. NOT WWX. Wwx was not her child or have you forgotten that? She has a tough love attitude in the sense that she toughens up her kids, expects no nonsense, wants them to strive to do better, get on with it, stiff upper lip attitude etc. This does not mean it's a good parenting tactic.

Using tough love to describe her parenting technique isn't a compliment. Apparently some of you don't know what it means because tough love, whilst there is love and good intentions behind the actions, it can also have unintended bad consequences on your children and is not a form of love you should expose your child to if you want them to become normal, emotionally stable people.

This person has been spamming my notifications jumping on EVERY post, being disrespectful and pretty much accusing me, an ace person, for being ignorant about MY OWN IDENTITY and using ace stereotypes just because I surmised that jc could be ace due to his lack of interest in romance.

Echoing the words used by another user in the thread, but denying that such ace persons exist is acephobic in itself. I'm an ace person who isnt interested in relationships outside anything that is close, platonic but meaningful. Many others in the jc fandom say the same thing which is why they see themselves in him. A large portion of the jc fandom are actually ace in fact and we love to see him used in ace rep posts. We're already made to feel like freaks, so to have that thrown in my face is very hurtful. Above all twisting my words and making out I said every ace person hates romance is very disingenuous. I NEVER once said that in the post. I wont have my character attacked and lied about like that.
