Back on my "I wish we got more of the Teiko gang doing silly middle school things" bullshit, but I would've killed to see them participate in a school play or something like that. How adorable and potentially hilarious would it have been to see them get all these different roles, rehearse their lines while they're walking home from b-ball practice, try on their costumes, and potentially even sing a lil number? Again, if they ever decide to make a season 4 of KNB where it's all just Slice of Life or an extra peek into the Teiko days, I would want more of this.

Hugos design i just wanted to put him in something more Loose. hes a thief, a professional escape artist. i dont think wearing clunky metal is ideal for him. i also gave him a prosthetic arm (blond w no arm design trope!) but u cant see it in the ref so i added another drawing of him in his under layering👍 i vaguely referenced russian(?) clothes for him as well... yong came relatively easy to me, if it wasn't obvious i did rip gaming from g*nshin's hoodie. i thought the lion hood was Adorable and freaking perfect for what i had in mind for hos character. since the og notes said the fire kingdom is loosely Chinese inspired i basically just kept that. i mashed tgt a buncha diff dynasties though sorry for how inconsistent i was... i think he looks Okay. anyways i changed yongs role a bit, ill explain why im adjusting some of their roles later but i kept yong as the Jinx Type character. hes the eldest in his family and has a buncha younger siblings, hes a lion dancer and does performances w his family/siblings. he rly like special effects n keeps tryna incorporate his fireworks into their performances (it flops and he has to sew up the dmg) ill explain more of yongs role in another post maybe shrugs... miss nuru was a bit of a struggle for me i might share my full design process with her coz i did a Bunch of mockups for her😭😭😭... i didnt have a specific country of reference for her but i chose to make her vaguely south asian inspired. i also really wanted to keep the sheer fabric w the star / constellation map. i love that idea its so cute so shes still technically the navigator. but she also wields a sword too, fencing or whatever. (her and varian r Huge Cass fangirls which is probably why she started tryna use a sword (snuck out to watch cass compete) Okay ill talk abt this later) in my head, okay ill Probably make a whole nother post talking abt how im interpreting/writing each chara, but in my head i think nuru is the youngest and her kingdom's archivist. shes mostly in charge of like Her kingdoms history / artifacts / etc. ok im getting too side tracked ill save the lore dump for later but thats Nurus role in the party. uhm below i made their character stats mostly to help me with planning / role developing. the yellow is their base stats the color behind is their end stats i guess. i was gonna explain my reasoning for their stats but ermm this post is kinda Really long so sorry😭... varian max int for obvious reasons, also max charisma just coz i feel like u kinda learn a thing or two being around a couple manipulators and spending time in jail idk shrugs... (also lets not forget the "ud b surprised what ppl would do for a cookie!") Hugo slippery guy, if a brick is thrown at him as hes running hes gonna try n run faster to shatter it, his mindset is Run Run Run! i think hes relatively agile too but yeah mostly a Speedster. i think he n varian got no Physical strength varian maybe just like A little coz Farm boy but I rly doubt quirin is making him do a Lotta heavy lifting. yong has incredible stamina and agility because hed a performer. nuru is the strongest coz this team would literally Flop without a proper Offense😭... i think varian n hugo r able to outwit plenty of their opponents but i think nuru is pretty good in a fight, same w yong. anyway, basically hylian courting is a lot shorter, think “lesbians with the uhaul” type of energy, like sort of the classical medieval “does thee wish to pursue marriage with this one?” ← how hylians ask u out for the first time lmao

if it helps, they do tend to get to know one another well, talking about morals/kids/life goals/preferred lifestyle/house/etc. pretty clearly and quickly, then using the in between time to sort of stew on that information

id say the total time is sort of something like 6 months? maybe 3/4 if they're really compatible

(so bc i love interpreting video game logic for real world building, I actually blame this on how fast Zelda/link get together in games despite having sometimes never met before that moment lol)

like i said, ill be posting about this later

pretty basic, just saying we don't really see hylians in big groups, despite the organizations they form, like kingdoms/knights or on a more personal level, towns/families/etc.

(once again, in-game appearances/video game logic translated to real life to draw these conclusions)

like not only are family units pretty small, like nuclear family setup, with like 2 parents and 2 kids, or single parent 1 kid type of situation, but the towns or collections of these families arent very big either

hylians kind of use their government the way it was intended lmao?

like the villages and towns matter more for everyday decisions than the kingdom/royalty, like Zelda would esstientally just be the mayor of Castle Town for those constant decisions,

while occasionally is called on to make decisions like for several towns or like is a natural disaster happens

meanwhile humans are, in comparison, in Way Bigger groups, both on an organization scale, and a personal scale

like u have all these specific branches of government, whereas im sure the population difference doesn't help,

and on a personal level, humans can easily have like multiple parents, lots of siblings, and once u combine that with each parent having family too, and those families like to meet up? All together??

yeah, itd look insane to any hylians (who’s smaller extended family may just make up their own village and that's it)

3. I've touched on this

like the use of spices, syrups, seasonings, etc

but also the complexity of dishes too, like chilling cream and mixing it for awhile to make ice cream, or even just getting ordering a pizza,

that's a lot of processing, like making the dough from flour and other ingredients, to letting it rise, to making the tomato paste, making cheese, then combining those things with any other toppings, all into one dish??

i like to think that hylians have only just started to touch on actual complicated cooking processes (as in BOTW, where they sell flour and salt, so people besides Link/Wild must know what to do with it)

this has the advantage of impressing any hylian with what a “creative genius” you are lol

4. look im just a fan of medieval time periods Links

so i think its funny if the hylians are used to like 4/3 layers and ur over here like, “wym, if i take off my shirt there's nothing underneath?”

one of them gets bold enough to ask, “d-do you not. do you not have undergarments??”

you “just my boxers? like just to cover my di-”

also this makes its easy to seduce people here? LMAO

clothes are def higher quality, after all there's not as many artificial processes or materials interfering,

plus u usually get some sick embroidery on it too!!

5. so like i get it, Link is the main fighter in games

but like, the few times there is a war/army in loz games, there's rlly not a lot of strategy, beyond just finding the enemy and fighting

tho im partial to that hylians/most inhabitants of Hyrule abide by the “lets meet up either literally by inviting each other or just between our territories to fight”

with occasional guerilla warfare (by any means necessary/stealth/ambush attacks/strategy) that's only rlly used either by Demise/Ganon, or by the wilder individuals/races in games

or maybe even the more civilized fighters in an emergency

and so that means by this logic that all of the Chain use kind of wild techniques compared to their race/kingdom lmao

id imagine its not too surprising to also see “every fight is a bar fight if its for my life” from individual travelers, so im sure they're not viewed too crazy (esp when ppl know their the hero that constantly has to deal with guerilla warfare from Ganon)

but its be hilarious to watch the reactions of both the Links realizing they’re in a bigger group that should be using “proper” fighting strategies and seeing the general publics reaction to this absolutely feral, armed to the teeth, trained hylians with their equally wild human lol

LMAO everyone thinks ur the reason they started using the more brutal fighting methods bc ur human, ur a bad influence lol

(humans would use it primarily, esp after we converted to use that method in warfare a couple hundred years ago i think?)

changing course a bit, hylians tend to use weapons (to compensate for difference in strength compared to humans, and since they don't experience/get a lesser version of adrenaline)

while humans tend to equally rely on weapons and our body as a weapon (marital arts/basic self-defense)

6. this is mostly bc the hylians only rlly seem to have the basics of music, books/stories, theater, and art

i have, surprise surprise, another post abt how i think this came to be,

mostly based on how human curiosity is indomitable and insatiable and the endless force that has not yet met its immovable object.

or at least an immovable object they haven't at least poked a little, out of curiosity lol

like we went to space for that reason, we reach the most dangerous corners of our planet (deep underwater/volcanoes) out of sheer curiousity/for the sake of simple knowledge of the thing

so needless to say, curiosity can absolutely drive any field to its limits, including the arts, which is why we can have stained glass, or movies/tv shows, hell, the marvel that is Hatsune Miku lmao

(fully for entertainment, a projection of light and sound, what is essentially magical illusions but u did it hte hard way, to the hylians)

on a different entertainment related note, i don't know if the hylians would be super into sports, or not really at all? mostly bc they have to use their fighting/training against real threats, not the sort of “fake” threats that sports are

but on the other hand i could see people like knights wanting to use their abilities for something other than violence and fighting bc their life or their villages lives depended on it

bet the Links would enjoy it for those reasons especially, what with at least sumo wrestling being a sport or activity for them at some point in history, and practically beg u for any new games to play, or to ref their games, bc whewwww

im sure they could get pretty competitive lol

7. obviously, their mostly influenced by the Japanese language

id almost like to imagine a sort of, if not outright Japanese (like with earlier heroes like Sky) then a sort of English-Japanese hybrid further along the line

sort of like how English has German/Greek/Latin roots and therefore u can see what words or structure comes from where, or even how u can understand a fair amount of basic words when other languages share the same roots (english, pants = spanish, pantalones)

would make for some funny miscommunications

or even better, most hylians liking ur unique accent or the Links love to hear u talk bc of it lol

i think you'd articulate it much better than i could but i'd love to know your thoughts about disability in mxtx's work!

i love the way she has all her mcs deal with spiritual (?) disabilities (corelessness, without a cure, the shackles). i'd say it's like half a step removed from actual rep, but she handles it really thoughtfully imo!

( maybe including other stuff/characters like the bm trauma etc)

Idk, I’ve never thought of stuff like the golden core removals or Without-a-cure as disabilities, because they only affect cultivation, which is not innate to the human body. It’s like claiming that an able-bodied person has a mobility disability because they no longer have a car. Yeah it takes longer to get places because you have to walk, now, but that doesn’t make you disabled. I am much more willing to talk about disability in mxtx novels through the lens of mental illness.

I like how mental illnesses like trauma and ptsd are handled through community care and not random vent sessions as stand-ins for modern therapy. I feel like this takes a more realistic approach on what it could look like when you take trauma seriously instead of relegating all healing to individualistic habit changes. For instance: the onset of Xie Lian’s spiral into his panic attacks and depression was being abandoned by his closest friends and then the suicide of his parents. Before that, he was able to continue on after the fall of Xianle based on their support of him, but after everyone leaves and he’s alone, he sinks heavily into despair. It is only after experiencing the unconditional support of Wuming that he is able to pull himself out of the pit, and meeting Hua Cheng later is what gives him to confidence to actually open himself back up again instead of taking on issues alone because he had no one to rely on anymore.

In mdzs, Wei Wuxian during the war and immediately post-war aftermath is a very tense person, still polite and charming but very distant from his peers. Part of that is the cultivation world beginning to treat him differently as they covet his power, but another part is that he had to remain on guard to protect himself, even from the people who he was formerly closest with. There was no one that he could depend on until he liberated the Qionqi Path labor camp. Afterwards, we see how Wei Wuxian is returned to his silly, playful self after spending time with the Wen remnants in the Burial Mounds, even though logically, this was the most dangerous time of his life outside of literal war in his first lifetime. The difference, however, is that he actually has people that he doesn’t have to guard against and who he can be honest and free with despite all the messy lines of debt and repayment that initially bound them together.

In svsss, though I don’t think Shen Qingqiu had any mental health issues, the thing that differentiates him from Shen Jiu is that Shen Qingqiu built up relationships with his martial siblings in the few years he had transmigrated, while the original goods kept himself intentionally isolated in his own sea of bitterness and jealousy. When the world turns against Shen Jiu, it is of his own making, but when the same happens to Shen Qingqiu, he has a whole mountain at his back ready to defend him—or even just his body! And in the post-canon when something happens on bingqiu’s time away, his first thought is “let’s go back to the sect for protection.” He never has a chance to fall into that same despair because he knows he has a community of support in case anything goes wrong. On the opposite end of things, the lack of love, community, and inclusion is what eventually sets Luo Binghe on his descent into madness, and it is the assurance that Shen Qingqiu both loves him and will never abandon him that pulls him back from the brink.

I’ve seen quite a few people make snide comments about how “of course” mxtx characters react badly to trauma because they exist in a setting without therapy, but I think this both ignores the autonomy of the characters (wwx, xl, or even yqy do not react to being traumatized in the same way that, say, sj or mq do) and also the fact that the solution to a lot of mental health issues that arise from trauma is a change in circumstances and having community. So even though therapy doesn’t exist in mxtx novels, the solutions to a lot of these problems still feels realistic and intentional rather than falling into “everyone traumatized will turn evil” or “love cures all, don’t look too deeply into it,” while also putting onus on the individual to choose healing rather than it being something that just passively happens to them.

WOO YAY im glad i could inspire you to start writing!!!🙏and i get it, writing fanfic is defs self indulgent and for ourselves first and foremost, but obvs nobody wants to release their work into the void😩 as for how my own fic got popular, one of the main things is defs timing. i published the first chap basically within the first week of the game being out (it came out on the 10th and my chap was on the 18th) so it was there right at the peak/start of the fandom. but i also dont wanna attribute it all to timing BAHHA cuz i think im a pretty good writer and that helps....my fic also didnt get popular right away, but i was consistently posting every single week + eventually started adding art every single week, and was just really dedicated to not only writing but also drawing art for it (which is also obvs another huge factor/probs the biggest factor). ive had so many ppl tell me they started reading my fic bc they saw my art on pinterest or something LOL, and some ppl have even read it fandom-blind bc they were into the seb/clora dynamic??? which is another point actually. i always joke about how i love my cliches and good girl+bad boy dynamics, and that im unashamed about loving them LOL, but also...they're cliches for a reason!!! lots of us eat that shit up!!!😤so i think thats defs another factor, vs if my fic was a bit more niche and avant garde LOL the fandom is also (understandably) a lot slower than it was at the beginning of the year so itll be harder in general, but maybe you could commission art to go with your fanfic? ive seen a lot of other HL fanfic writers do it, and i think it defs helps to draw attention! There’s an AU rattling inside my head I haven’t been able to stop thinking about based on Viktor meeting Singed as a young child and them bonding over the Waverider Rio

(long thought post)

In the universe we know, Viktor learns about how Singed treats Rio and cuts contact with him, soon after they meet (we don’t know precisely how long they were working together to help Rio before Viktor discovered what Singed was doing)

What if in another universe Rio was healthier or healthy for for longer and so Viktor and Singed really got attached to each other?

We’ve already seen the lengths Singed will go for one child, imagine the lengths he’d go for two?

We don’t know much about Viktor’s childhood outside of his brief partnership with Singed and his discovery by Heimerdinger which lead him to becoming his assistant

He could be an orphan, he could have parents that are so poor they have to work more to take care of his needs, either way based on what we do know it seems he had a lot of free time unsupervised

If in this case, he spends more and more of his free time with Singed in his lab and Singed forms an attachment to Viktor, especially if it’s to the point of considering Viktor a second child, I imagine losing him or the thought of losing would make him spiral just as it does with Orianna

If Viktor later discovers Singed’s treatment of Rio, after that attachment has already formed, and Viktor tries to leave, Singed may have tried to prevent it instead of just brushing off his feelings about the matter and letting him leave

Viktor’s smart and scrappy but Singed has far more resources, I’m kind of imaging a Tangled’s Rapunzel situation except, it’s Singed’s territory in the Undercity instead of a Tower and instead of staying there willingly, Viktor’s constantly escaping his clutches only to be brought back to him by hired men

Viktor is torn because he has grown to care about Singed (as well as Orianna) but he can’t stand Signed’s methods

If Heimerdinger later discovers him still, once again he’d spiral over “his” child being taken from him, especially since Heimerdinger didn’t approve of Singed trying to save Orianna - he probably have a personal vendetta against Heimerdinger at that point

Viktor would want to go to Piltover not just for the opportunities, not just to for the chance to get better away from the grey, but also to get away from Singed and his choices

He’d maybe feel guilty over it even though he knows it the right decision and the smart decision, we’ve seen that Viktor has a hard time letting people in, even if Singed is absolutely úplně mimo or completely out of it in this AU he still grew up with him and feels a connection to him and even one with Orianna cuz he spent years hearing about her from Singed

But he doesn’t want to hurt others to save lives, not even Orianna’s, not even his own

The timeline from there would probably be similar, except Singed is constantly sending Viktor’s gifts and Silco’s sending men up to Piltover to check on Viktor and to cause trouble for Heimerdinger in ways that can’t be tracked back to him

Sometimes he’ll even show up at Viktor’s apartment and won’t leave until he’s satisfied Viktor’s okay, running tests on him until Viktor finally convinces him to leave

It leaves Viktor shaken every time because he doesn’t want Heimerdinger to know of his connection to Singed and he’s afraid of the consequences of being caught with Silco’s drug man

Anyways this goes on as long as Viktor’s in Piltover, Jayce’s lab gets robbed, boom, Viktor’s interest is piqued, Jayce and Viktor team up

Well all know the rest EXCEPT, Viktor is doing his utmost to hide his illness (self experiments? Every medical treatment he can find available in the city? Abuse of pharmaceuticals? Idk) from everyone to avoid it getting back to Singed and does his utmost to get Singed away from Hex tech and Jayce and everything else going on

It doesn’t work entirely, it’s a delicate balance, but he’s managing

But then the disease gets the better of him

When he passes out in the lab, everyone is taken aback

Jayce is absolutely devastated

Singed is deranged

Viktor doesn’t want Singed’s help at this point, so maybe because he’s been putting in the work to avoid Singed he’s much more up to date with the Undercity than in the ogverse so he knows about Ekko and goes to him instead and doesn’t take shimmer

Viktor doesn’t want that additional connection between them

Viktor’s also afraid if he dies he’ll end up in Singed’s lab along side Orianna

So he’s desperate to figure something out, which clues Jayce in, Viktor confesses his fears and then I’m thinking Jayce maybe ropes in Heimerdinger, maybe Mel and Caitlyn and Vi and Viktor’s brought in Ekko and together they figure out a different way, maybe still using the Hexcore without it ending up with him being fused with it and everything changes

A different solution is found, the team saves Viktor and then after checking that off the list, they all work together to prevent Civil War and instead help Zaun gain sovereignty (leading to other changes, like Isha not dying so Junx doesn’t die, the team plus Jinx & Isha getting Vander away from Singed and finding a cure for him, handling Ambessa’s take over in another way, etc, etc all the other loose ends come together somehow someway)

Or maybe Singed finds out, loses his mind over the thought of putting another child, even if this child is now an adult, in a mechanical coffin, and fuses him with the Hexcore himself

And nothing really changes at all

Because whether it was Jayce or Singed it was still done

against his will

in the name of love

Since you're really good at deducing and creating theories about jshk, I wanted to ask you about some of the points that intrigue me a lot and what do you think about it.

So, the first question and point I've been thinking about lately is the yugi parents, I would like to know so much more about them, especially about their relationship with the twins and what led them to be careless (heavily implied), and not only that, I honestly would like to know more about them and how they reflect their twins, I like to think that there is some symbolism in the way they dress (the father who dresses western like hanako and the mother who dresses traditional like tsukasa) now I know that the father dresses like this because in the 50s Western fashion was taking hold but I like to think that there are some symbolisms intended by the aidairo, maybe for indicate some similarities of twins with their parents, idk.

Then another obvious thing that i wonder is if mom yugi continued with the "he's not my son" until the end and if this led to the split in the family, i don't know but she seems genuinely stubborn about what she believes she's right about , and in the end there's no way you can blame her, there really was something wrong with tsukasa, she just lacked the right information to get to the truth, i think anyway that the relationship with her husband will start to go badly precisely because of this obstinacy of hers, I don't know if mr yugi can agree with her.

Well, the twins' parents have always intrigued me, we have little information about them so far, but what it seems is that Tsukasa was treated differently according to the periods, between before and after he was possessed by the entity.

His behavior changed, and I'm not going to point out that it happened only because of the entity, remember that the red house has its own flow of time, Tsukasa saw a lot of things there.

Regarding the mother, we see that she was very present in the twins' lives, she was apparently affectionate and caring towards him, with no signs of any kind of mistreatment here. She loved her children, and was doing everything she could to try to save Amane and comfort Tsukasa.

But, her behavior changed, especially after his return. We saw that she was crying when she met Tsukasa again, but later she noticed that there was something "wrong" with him.

She was still trying to save Tsukasa. Imagine, a mother who was previously suffering with her eldest son, because he had a terminal illness. And now that she managed to save one, she had lost the other, who, when he returned, came back possessed by something.

She fought to save Tsukasa too, but this time she couldn't. She was desperately trying to get the exorcists to save her son. We don't know if she started treating Tsukasa rudely or indifferently, or even with fear.

Perhaps we can deduce that she has started to treat him in a similar way to Amane, perhaps a little less intense. She is his mother, and here too the thought "is he or isn't he the real Tsukasa?" is floating around.

And about how much someone can truly love another person. Yako said that even when you become a supernatural, no matter how much you change, you are still you.

This is the theme of JSHK. Would Tsukasa's mother still love him, even if he were in another form or acting differently?

Something that Amane has been struggling with in his thoughts. I don't know if their mother gave up on Tsukasa (probably not, since he only reached 12 years of age), or if she insisted until the end.

I believe that her behavior towards him must have changed, but that (thinking positively) she did not abandon him.

Her clothes make me associate the issue of sacrifices. Since she is a young woman and dresses in traditional clothing, she resembles the Kannagis. I don't know if I can say that she took that place at some point, but I don't doubt the possibility. She died, but didn't she become a supernatural?

We have even less information about their father. We saw him a few times, specifically on the twins' birthday and when they met Tsukasa again.

He seems to be loving towards the twins, but we didn't see how he reacted to Tsukasa's change in behavior. Knowing that he is an apparently loving father is something that exempts him (for now) from having been abusive or negligent towards the boys.

Considering the information we have, we may see the opposite in the future.

We don't see the father mentioned again. Regarding his clothing, again, it makes me associate it with the concept of sacrifice. We see a connection here between their parents' clothing and theirs, as you mentioned.

Tsukasa dresses in traditional clothing. The mother dresses in traditional clothes.

Amane wears ordinary clothes.

The father wears ordinary clothes.

Kannagi and the one who sacrifices her to make a wish.

Still, it could refer to the connection between children and their parents. Despite this, Tsukasa seems to have more fun with his father, while Amane has more fun with his mother.

So, the family probably stayed together until the end, since it was reported that it was a "family suicide"

They were together, but the question we have to ask is:

"How did they behave towards Tsukasa after his return?"

For now, these are the thoughts I have about them.

Not to be a hater because I genuinely read and love everything you post but why are you always reblogging your posts like less that 10 mins after posting? Its driving me insane thinking theres another new post only to be disappointed when I'm scrolling down my following feed. Like it's really truly annoying.

Idk it’s something I’ve done for my entire fanfiction career, both on this account and my other account. If it’s truly annoyed you that much idk what to say. I’m autistic and doing this is almost like a ritual to me. I get paranoid if I don’t the post won’t do well. Maybe it’s OCD, or something autistic people do, idk people say a few things overlap between the two.

Didn’t really wanna admit it’s something that significant because honestly I’m a bit embarrassed/paranoid when telling people things about my mental state because people will definitely take advantage of that on the internet. But I feel like if I don’t say something now I’m going to keep getting this type of ask where people really don’t understand me and why I do things.

I’m not going to post something else substantial 10 mins after posting so you should know by now it’s a reblog. The only thing I’ll post so soon after is a few asks but not anything that’s worth reading for the general audience, more me responding to others sending well wishes and kind words.

Since razor is a basilisk they can disguise themself so no one can tell they're a monster well no one but the besties

Anyways academy arc doesn't really have much plot it's just the characters getting introduced to each other n hanging out

Sage adopted trace as his friend while cherry adopted razor meanwhile cherry n trace were beefing but dw they make up all 4 of them are friends now yippee 👍talya joins the academy later in the years n joins the friendgroup cause gaydar for monsters

Apocalypse arc is based on the sadly cancelled s5 where the gang are basically trying to not die

Talya gets infected big L just don't get infected loser trace dies but then comes back then dies again skill issue n the other three are just going thru it™️

At the end of the arc razor graduates but not the rest of the friendgroup cause um have you considered being older?? Idiots 🙄

Fish arc is the MAIN main arc we think about that lore needs like 10 pages on it's own

This takes place like a year or 2 after the last arc when the group all graduated a lot of ppl are going missing in the peaceful seaside town of forgetavile n as their first group mission the gang are tasked w figuring out what's going on n fix the issue

Turns out fish ppl have been kidnapping the ppl of forgetavile 😱😱 the knights try to do something but thise fishes are smart dealing with them is no easy and oh no this glowy mean fish lady put a curse on cherry wtf

So they're all staying at forgetavile trying to stop more ppl from going missing until they deal with the fish pp also they find this weird fish twink washed up on shore? He's talking a lot of nonsense about a place called totallynotatlantis and this loser named agniss? Idk he looks gay

ok SO!!!! heres the tuxsys / luna infodumps about della duck post!!! this is my interpretation, uhhh yeah lets go

shes donald ducks twin sister, and mother of huey, dewey and louie duck. she is described as persustent, headstrong, bold... she would never let people tell her she couldnt do ghings just cause shes a girl. shes a pilot as well

shes not present in her sons lives, at least up until their canon ages of roughly 10 years old. in the older canons, it is simply left there, however eventually in one comic it was expanded upon and revealed that she is on the moon! i believe in this continuity she has no idea 10 years have passed, and is shown in one to only believe herself to have been away for 15 minutes. truly tragic, considering no one has the heart to tell her.

in ducktales 2017, thats where my expertise shines cause my autism show, she haunts the narrative for the entire 1st season, and is presumed to be dead. at the end of the season, it is revealed that her disappearance caused a major rift in scrooge and donalds relationship, with them going no contact from before the boys hatch up until the shows pilot. also, like before, shes on the moon. idk why im talking so formally.

the second season we finally get to meet della and she fucking rules. she reminds me of my mom personality wise, which computes to me as that is a woman who never got an adhd or autism diagnosis and very likely needed one. shes silly, shes brave, shes impulsive, shes reckless. she learned her uncle was making her a surprise rocket ship and stole it for a joyride before it was done. roughly a week before her kids hatched. i have thoughts about that, but thats for later or maybe another ask.

ANYWAY. evidently, stealing an unfinished rocket ship is a Bad Idea; it gets swept up in a cosmis storm and she crashes on the moon. her leg is pinned under some debris of her ship, and she is forced to amputate it. keep in mind she is Completely Alone. then she spends the next ten years, still alone, slowly trying to find a way home to her kids. she has a picture of her, scrooge, donald and the eggs taped up the the wall and she drew what she thinks her kids might look like on the back of it. she went from building SOS signs to trying to rebuild the ship herself (teaching herself ROCKET SCIENCE in the process)

shes in rhe final stretch and then she meets moon aliens who have been here the whole time and also have a thriving society and all the materials she would need to rebuild her ship. because of course theyve been right there the whole time. sure. ten years of solitude and theres been guys here the whole time. at least one of them is a hot butch like twice her height?

the moonlanders help her rebuild her ship and she finally gets to go home and see her family. donald is sent away until the finale because they dont want me to be happy /j fr tho the twins reunion was underwhelming but its wtv i can cope

the reunion of della and scrooge is magnificent though!! along with her meeting her kids <333 they spend a few scattered episodes briefly exploring how she missed so much of their lives and ultimately doesnt know how to be a mom, but theyre a family and theyll work to figure it out. they make like... 2 brief nods to how she spent a decade alone on the moon, but judging by the appearances of younger della in flashback stories, it seems as if shes nearly completely unaffected (i call bullshit but wtv. ill write it myself)
