I'm awake and I WAS ABLE TO WRITE even tho idk if I'm happy about this scene I think it's time to tell y'all how our dear Mobei-Jun is doing

He's...... Well. Here we go.

Mobei did his best to avoid the food and water, but the chambers were not a laughing matter, the sequence of battles disrupting his recovery, forcing him to feed instead of meditating and gathering energy. They have gotten progressively worse, to the point of him finishing the last one with a cold to his bones so intense that made him swear to buy the softest carpets for Qinghua when he got back.

Because he would be back. Not if, when.

Another problem had been time. It felt like it ran differently inside the weird temple; he would look at the running numbers on the floating parchment, fight for hours, glare at it again and see that a few minutes had passed by. He was tired, but certainly not enough to lose time? But the other option would be the shapeshifter being capable of manipulating it. Then, how long has it been since he saw Qinghua? Weeks? Months?

He mustered all his energy to put the dark thoughts aside, head throbbing, arm numb. This time the Thing had made him exhaust his shadows, the roaring beast of his ancestors’ power eerily subdued.

He was ready to fall face forward on the bed when the sound of clapping made him turn around, an ice sword at ready.

“Oh, I apologize. It wasn't my intention to startle you,” the Thing said as kept Its distance, hands still clasped together.

“What. Do you want.” Mobei kept his sword pointed at It, muscles burning from tension. It was like a river of fire was coursing through his veins, making him hyper aware of his vulnerable state.

“I've came to congratulate you.” The Thing took a step to the side, then other, then one more, starting a wide circle around Mobei. “Your progress through the chambers has been remarkable. Better than expected,” It stopped next to the table where all the foods and drinks were served, most of them untouched. “However, your strength still is not up to your normal standards.”

Mobei had to force his body not to react, to not attack and kill the Thing and be done with this farce of kidnapping once and for all. It was provoking him, baiting him into being harsh. Even so the grip on his sword tightened, the ice not cracking purely because of it being made by Mobei himself.

“I don't understand what you mean by that.”

The Thing picked up one of the many berries, turning it side to side before eating it with a blank expression. Then It licked Its fingers, staring at Mobei.

“Would that suffice?” The bowl was pretty, translucid jade carved with drawings all over the rim, a piece of beauty that seemed to have been stolen from the Heavens. He could easily reach and grab it. He was wise enough to ignore the offer. Instead he kept his eyes on the Thing, considering his chances.

If Mobei attacked It, he would die. He was too tired and using a portal would be impossible at the moment. He considered running to the door, but what would be the chances of it being unlocked? Slim to none.

He might not have another opportunity, but it was most certainly a trap-

“What do you mean?” he asked instead of acting, the tip of his sword scraping the jade bowl, tapping it to the side.

“I've just demonstrated that the food is not poisoned. I have no intention of harming you, that would make this entire interaction pointless. If I wanted to kill you, you would already be dead.” It said with a small tilt of Its head to the side, picking up another berry, slowly chewing it as if having to count the bites. “You've been maintaining the bare minimum to survive the chambers,” the Thing made a noise that Mobei guessed it was supposed to be a sigh. “However, to have accurate data you need to be at your full strength. Which means you have to eat.”

“I have eaten,” he snapped as he shifted his foot, talking the smallest step towards the door. Many years ago, the possibility of even considering running away from an enemy would be unspeakable. Now? His husband had taught him more than once the advantages of living another day to fight back.

He couldn't- he wouldn't die here, away from Qinghua.

“Not enough,” the Thing moved Its fingers as if plucking the air, the clicking sound of a lock settling in place making Mobei let a curse through his teeth. “Consider this an incentive. The more you postpone having proper meals and rest, the longer it will take for you to return to user UV001.”

Again with that cursed title, as if Qinghua were a thing instead of a person, as if he were an amusing toy and all of this has been a ploy to make his husband dance in circles trying to find Mobei.

“Why do you call him that?” He didn't want to keep talking with the Thing, but he recognized an opportunity to gather information when he saw one. “Why not call him by his name?”

“Why would you want to know?” the Thing asked after eating Its third or fourth berry, bright green eyes focusing on Mobei-Jun as It started walking back towards the door. “This information is not relevant to you or to your progress in the chambers.”

This wasn’t his type of battlefield, and Mobei wasn't good at improvising. Politics and thinking fast on his feet had been Shang Qinghua's skill. It was what made them a ruthless pair. When his husband's honey words weren't enough, Mobei was there to be his sword and see that his will was done. And when Mobei ice and shadows couldn't reach the minds and hearts of enemies, Shang Qinghua was there with a whisper and a smile, ready to turn the tables to their favor.

It wasn't as if he were bad at court machinations, he had been raised by his uncle after all. He just preferred not to deal with it. And by letting Qinghua be responsible for most of the paperwork in the past years, he might have become a bit rusty on these types of confrontations.

He didn't close his eyes, but still he threw a prayer for any Gods that might hear to lend him the brains to beat the Thing in their game.

“Shang Qinghua had many names during our life together,” he said slowly, buying himself time to think. “But you call him by a title this one has never heard before. Makes this one think that you've known Shang Qinghua from somewhere else.”

“Ah,” It walked towards Mobei, offering the food one more time, a stilled smile pulling Its face, baring Its teeth in a poor imitation of kindness. “Good to see that your mind is sharp even with your levels of exhaustion. However, this information cannot be given freely.”

“And I'm willing to pay a price for it,” he took the bowl from the Thing's hand, eating one of the berries in a demonstration of good will.

The Thing's eyes glowed as they became unfocused, staring over Mobei's shoulder. The silence dragged, heavy as a serpent-boar from the southern valleys, the Thing static, as if It had been frozen.

It blinked, the image of Its face shifting like a spectral shadow, overlaying for a second, worsening Mobei's headache. The unsettling smile; that It had dropped while staring at the wall, came back with vengeance as the Thing pulled too many of the magical parchments up, the crackling magic giving It a maniac air that sent shivers down Mobei's spine.

He swallowed dry, as if a heavy stone scratched his throat and sunk down on his stomach, the taste of berries turning into ashes on his mouth.

“Let's make a deal, then.” It said as It touched one of the parchments, moving Its fingers over symbols that Mobei couldn't comprehend. “For each chamber you complete using your full strength and energy you will acquire a number of points. You can trade these points for answers. As a reward.”

“Very well,” he agreed with a sharp nod, holding back a flinch when the cold fingers touched his forehead, right on his demon mark. “Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. I hope you enjoy your beta user experience!”

Then It vanished, leaving Mobei with the feeling of having sold his soul for a meager price.

Ye ye some designs for my lsoh x tadc au I talked about a while back lol :3 btw I won't spoil but tadc ep 3 was pretty good IMO!! I can't guarantee I'll get back into tadc since I feel like the main reason I did after ep 2 was for Ribbun mostly lol but hey who knows? Speaking of, I don't ship them in this AU personally but idgaf what y'all ship with them, preferably not Pomni n Caine tho since this is going by the 1986 version of the movie where Mr. Mushnik acts more like a dad to Seymour.

First up, we have Pomni as Seymour and Queenie as Audrey 2!! I like to think she starts to abstract as she is "dying" of starvation :]

Next up we have Gangle as Audrey and Jax as Orin because OH BOY are they toxic...also added the bow cuz I didn't wanna give Gangle hair but I wanted to give her..something..so ye

Next up we have Bubble, Sun and Moon as the Chiffon girls cuz...idk. My only real thought is Bubble, Sun and Moon are all paired together for the Animiz figure & they're all just talking objects so..yeah

Then we got Caine as Mr. Mushnik and Ragatha as the radio host person thingy that Seymour talks to! For Caine, I decided to take more inspo from Mr. Mushnik's design from the cartoon Little Shop just to differnate this from regular Caine as much. For Ragatha, idk I wanted to make her look like a typical 80s' girl lol

Also, I didn't feel like drawing them cuz they would play such minor roles but I think Gummigoo would be the first guy to come in and notice Audrey 2 and buy a dozen roses(or two dozen..? i cant remember lol) since that guy already talks a bit like an NPC lol. And then Zooble would be the nurse that just wants to get the hell out of there during the Arthur Denton scene lol.

It's Pride Month so I get to post my stupid little Utterson X Sherlock (OC X Canon) ship doodles and y'all are going to enjoy it (I am literally speaking to the void)

Warning for OOC of both Sherlock and my own character Utterson because some of the doodles were made not to be accurate but were made because I got bored and thought it was cute. Also some of this is older drawings and I really need to draw them more (in general) and draw their relationship more accurate to how I actually think they would act XD

Some headcanons me and one of my friends made:

-Both are very dedicated HOWEVER Sherlock likes to wait for Utterson to bring something up rather than initiate it himself. It's mostly Sherlock being mischievous and enjoying watching Utterson yearn and fluster. Also due to how Sherlock can sometimes be a lil bit mischievous, he also enjoys teasing Utterson just slightly to see how Utterson reacts. This goes on even before Utterson finally asks Sherlock on a date

-Sherlock also knew Utterson had a crush on Sherlock before Utterson even realized his own crush on Sherlock (this reads weird). Sherlock waited for Utterson to realize on his own rather than initiating it himself, adding onto the headcanon before this one. Like I said, Sherlock enjoys watching Utterson lmao

-Utterson had a SUPER LONG period of denial of his own bisexuality and mistaken his romantic attraction as a "super strong platonic love", and when he finally realized he was experiencing a crush, he freaked out and was like "NO ONE CAN KNOW. IT WOULD BE A DISASTER." while everyone else was like "The closet is glass, everyone knows he is a Sherlock Simp"

-Hyde (and a very unwilling Best Friend Paris) tried to make Utterson realize his feelings Faster by putting the two in cliche romance situations, but unfortunately Chaldea did it's magic and somehow each romantic scene would be screwed up. Hyde was doing all this because he watched too many romantic telenovelas (Hyde is Utterson and Sherlock's biggest supporter and hater)

-Whenever Utterson starts scolding Sherlock for doing something dangerous, Sherlock does the Handsome Face (tm) and Utterson melts and folds Every. Single. Time. XD

-Utterson confessed through a love letter. He didn't think Sherlock would read it automatically but Sherlock knew exactly what it was and really likes seeing Utterson's reaction (I actually have a more written-out, detailed scene of what happened, and it's way funnier than this short summary I'm giving RIP)

-Utterson is very modest and gets severely flustered at the idea of holding Sherlock's hand in public. It takes a long time for him to get comfortable with doing so, but Sherlock doesn't seem to mind. PDA is a Huge No for Utterson, obviously XD

Idk there's so much about these two, more than I can type in one sitting, although I mostly type about Utterson because I'm trying to still grasp FGO Sherlock's character. He's mysterious but also weirdly mischievous in some ways, and he's just,,, Interesting! (scrunches him like paper affectionately)

that's actually more than i thought, lmao. standouts for me were a sky longing for memories, windows to worlds, master the art of speed painting, and figure drawing for artists -- each of these offered some really valuable insight for me and helped me think about something in a different way. i got all these via library and at this point i'm worried that i've exhausted the catalogs of every library i have access to :/

i've only ever taken one art class in my life and it wasn't a really great experience, plus i'm not great at teaching myself things, so finally reaching for instructional books about art this year felt like a big leap and i'm glad that i took it. i also watched some of the drawclass VODs that are up on youtube and started looking for resources like studies and sketches from artists i like. idk, i guess it's kind of been about demystifying the process for me. there's a lot of stuff i've been doing the long way round for years and years or not doing at all because i didn't know that you were "allowed" to take a shortcut, or that it was even possible (eg. foliage brushes).

this year was pretty wobbly in terms of how happy i was with the art i made and how much of it i made, particularly bc Life Happened in august and just has not stopped, and i know that i felt really bad and unhappy with art for a big chunk of the year -- but now that i'm past that, i can see that i've improved a lot in a lot of the ways in which i've been wanting to improve. you know what's nuts? i only started actively drawing backgrounds for every piece last year. now i can't imagine not doing something for a background.

i think i also gnawed through a lot of... idk, shame? inadequacy? some yucky feeling i had about tagging my art for tumblr search. i think it's partially that we're all back on this hell site and i just don't care about showing my ass anymore. whatever. y'all either get to see my fucking anime Poasting or unfollow/mute/block/whatever, i don't really give a shit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the art goals i set for myself at the start of the year were to try making a short comic more than once, which i did! twice, actually, though i didn't post one of them. that's ok. i don't remember if this was a goal, but i submitted art to a digital zine this year too! i need to check if i can post it yet actually... lmao. and i joined a fandom event as an artist, which i'm really excited for. i haven't done a fandom event since 2013 and i've never done one as an artist.

my art goals for 2023 are to do thumbnails for most of the big pieces that i draw, and to draw people interacting physically with each other when i draw 2+ in one piece. that'll be tough since i honestly enjoy the subtlety of Two Guys Standing Next To Each Other but it's an area i want to improve in.

Oh, your shampoo/body wash smells like banana, coconut, strawberries etc? She's got her face in your neck giving you little kisses. (Sometimes she'll give you a little kitten lick but it's fine cause you love it 😃).

She likes mutual feeding (ik that sounds weird idk how else to put it.) Like if you guys are eating popcorn together while watching a movie, she likes when you place the popcorn in her mouth and she does the same for you.

Whenever you make a noise she hasn't heard before she's dying to force you to make it again.

Idk what it's called but I feel like Yelena has that thing where noises are attributed to colors in her brain. And at some point she explains all the colors she sees whenever you make certain noises.

Hange

Moblit had to take a.. short vacation after one of Hange's lab disasters nearly crippled him.. so Erwin had asked you to fill in and you said yes. It was only for a couple weeks and during that time Hange stuck to you like glue. Throwing an arm over your shoulder, stealing little glances and laughing loudly when you'd catch her. It felt like normal Hange stuff. But on the last night before Moblit's return, Hange was weirdly not.. Hange.. being quiet, filling in data and barely making eye contact. You asked if you'd done something wrong but Hange barely said anything back. Before you left she was nose deep in paperwork. You said your goodbyes and you were about to leave when Hange asked if you'd be willing to go on a date. When you looked back she hadn't even looked up but you smiled and nodded with a little yes and the rest was history.

It's a no brainer that you spent all your free time in Hange's lab to be Hange's other support system other than Moblit.

And when Moblit died, Hange's entire support system.

Her touch lingering on your lower back as you lean over to check her notes.

Completely enamored with the glint in your eye whenever the two of you come up with a sort of breakthrough.

Deadass pulls you into her lap at the most random times.

Oh hey the meeting finally finished? Yanks your frame right into her lap and laughs at the eye rolling of fellow colleagues.

Hange will say sorry but that blush on your face was so worth it and she's so glad she did it.

Rubs your back as you sleep on the work piled on your side of the desk.

Probably accidentally wakes you up a couple minutes after you fell asleep though.

Hange once sat you on her lap after a meeting right before Erwin tried to hand her some papers over the table. Without thinking she stood up to grab them and your face slammed into the table while her hips were pressed against your ass. Immediately getting everyone's attention. Safe to say you no longer sit next to Hange at meetings. (I had to add this even though it's a little off topic and random.)

She had to share a room with you until she became queen. And almost every night she'd have some kind of nightmare about Ymir. You didn't mean to make a move but one night she crawled into your bed like she always had and you wrapped your arms around her shivering form like you always did. She had her nose trapped in your nape and you pressed a kiss to her forehead hoping it would stop her harsh breathing. And it did. She froze, the world froze, everything froze. You had leaned back to apologize for overstepping her boundaries and she kissed you back.

She'd gotten so comfortable with your scent that not only did it constantly lull her to sleep but always gave her a sense of security.

You're her security blanket. I don't make the rules.

Speaking of blankets. You gave her yours when she moved into the castle.

Whenever she gets even an hour alone she's trying to get you in the castle so she can sit in your lap and bury her nose in your nape like she always has.

She also steals your shirts and hoodies as often as possible until they smell like her then you have to take them back and cover them with your stink again.

Spending early mornings in the castle after washing your hair and her telling you over and over that she missed your smell.

It's legit like having a long distance relationship while being in the same place.

And she doesn't let you go until the last second before you both have to go back to work.

If you guys have time and you shop together she'll keep the candles that you believed smelled the best in her room.

All in all give Historia your shirts to wear cause she loves them/they look great on her.

You're probably either super sweet like Krista or really sarcastic like her and that's what draws her to look more in depth into you. When she finally gets a chance to actually look at you fully without the odm gear she finds herself fixated, tracing your figure with her eyes. You guys finally become friends, who mutually enjoy bullying Reiner. But she finds that she hates it. Thinks you're teasing her every time you brush her fingertips without actually holding her dammed hand. One day she just reaches out and grabs you properly and doesn't let go. Yeah, you're dating now.

What can I say except, she likes running a finger over the lines on your palm.

She's always grabbing you out of nowhere but you don't mind. You just let her hold you.

"You look extra beautiful today, bet you'll look even better when I put a ring on your finger."

Puts her hands under your shirt with no fucking shame.

Stares at you and yells at the first person that mocks her. Reiner/Connie

Can and will find a way to smack your ass the second she gets you alone.

Trails little butterfly kisses over your shoulders when you're trying to get dressed in the morning.

y'all!!! i finally made up my silly mind and i am so happy adfaghajka!!!!

originally, i wanted to go to med school since i was little, because i wanted to help people, and the only option i knew was medicine.

but i failed to realise some things until later last summer (still better later than never, i guess)

for one, i value my free time a lot, and by going to med school i would have kissed it goodbye adfagahha- not only that, but while i like biology and anatomy, i just can't see myself spending hours upon hours trying to memorise everything, word by word (teachers are very strict there, from what i've heard. not to mention chemistry is also pretty important there, and i absolutely despise it afgahah-)

then i decided to go for the polytechnic university (idk if that's how it translates-), because after 6 years I've finally started to like mathematics (it's so fun imo adfagahhajja), but once again i failed to realise something - even tho rn i manage way better than i did in the last few years, i still miss a lot of pretty basic yet important info-

my math teacher always makes fun of me (light-heartedly) because sometimes i solve pretty hard problems only to then mess up a simple exercise, and that only because i didn't know the formula which i should have used afgaha-

and like- i can't really go to that university where is expected of me to already know all that stuff, ya know? and it's not like i can go over 6 years of info in only 6 months either adfagaha

some people even suggested i should go for the architecture university, since i draw and stuff. i took into consider that option, but it's still a hard no for me.

for once, if we're talking about architecture, we're talking about a pretty stiff, lifeless way to draw, ya know? it won't allow me to play with shapes and fluidity much/the way i want, and these are pretty much the only reasons i love drawing in the first place-

not to mention drawing is, for me, the only activity that i do for fun, as well as the only activity i do simply because i want to. if it were to slowly become something i have to do, i would start hating it (as it happened with most things in school-).

also, i only like drawing people anyway, and it's not something i want to make a career out of, so yeah-

anyway, here's where the good part begins!!

these past few months, but especially after messing around with silly analysis of Jekyll and Hyde: the gothic musical thriller and making silly posts about that, and also after starting to mess around with song lyrics, i realised i can do the same thing with the books i had to read for school?? that was a big revelation to me afagaha

honestly it helped me a lot when i started to treat them as silly fandoms, instead of books i have to read for an exam. and then, after realising how cool the books actually are (despite all the mysoginy and sexism present in most of them - they're old books after all), i also realised how much i actually love writing essays about them!! to write those essays i must analyse the characters, find parallels, explain the symbolism of certain scenes!!! all the good stuff hehe

i still struggle with putting my thoughts into words, (but not as much as i do in english - romanian is my native language after all afaghahs), but boy once i have everything clear in my mind-

for the exam i will take this summer, an essay must have 400 words at least. meanwhile, my essays have at least 400 words when i am not even half way through- so that wouldn't be a problem. it's actually really good! i really like playing around with silly words hehe

so yeah, going to the faculty of letters might be perfect for me, because that's pretty much all i have to do! read silly books and write essays about them hehe

there's still a problem tho- i still struggle with starting to read books, even if i want to. but, hopefully, since i will be starting therapy soon, i will be able to talk about it with a professional who might also prescribe me some medicamentation, or over all help me find a way to beat the silly executive disfunction adagha-

also! i still don't know what i want to do, speaking in terms of career, but i know this faculty can open some doors, so i have options to choose something i would like.

what i also like is that this faculty allows me a fair amount of free time, so i can also look for a part time job somewhere. in case this faculty proves to not be as perfect for me as i thought, i will have a job assured until I find something else

ngl it's all very messy afaghaja, but hopefully everything will turn out ok in the end hehe

YES YES I HAVE bro idk if y'all can tell but the mlp art style is highkey how I learned to draw at first ;-; it was one of if not the first fandom I started taking drawing 'seriously' for!! So its influence is still v clear in my art, at least to me ;^^ especially in things like how I draw eyes

As for the show itself,, imma be talking about friendship is magic cause it's all I know but BRO I loved it sm and still do!! The characters are so much fun, I still find myself doodling them when I'm bored!! Especially fluttershy and rainbow dash ;^^ wings are fun to draw!! The episodes were always a load of fun and just,, the found family vibes,,, are so immaculate,,,,, also the villains??? Bruh discord my beloved holy shit-

Watching the animation improve over the course of the series is also!! A great time!!!! In season one they're def noticeably more,, stiff ig?? But even by season 4 they were pushing the expressions so much more, and the fight scene w Tirek (I think that was his name??) always sticks out in my mind, the perspectives live in my mind rent free-

March comes in like a lion, it's Portrayal of toxic & healthy relationship and how to compares rivamika + Ereh

Que the longest title everr 😌✨

So before I start on the actual analysis, I recently started watching March comes in like a lion instead of doing my assignments and I half way through season 2. For those of you who haven't watched it, it might be a spoilers so beware of that.

In this analysis I'll be comparing the similarities I found between Rei, Hina and Kyoko.

So watching any anime after being do emotionally attached to rivamika it's only natural that I compare them to the characters with even the tiniest bit similarities in their dynamic but Rei and hina's relationship jump in episode 4 of season 2 really caught me off guard and I was like omg?? Rivamika?? How do I make this about them 😩

Anyway so a little background on Rei's relationship with both girls Kyoko and Hina ( Hinata ). Firstly, i subconsciously placed Rei has Mikasa, kyoko has Eren and Hina as Levi, why? You will know on a minute. Rei is a depressed kid who has known only one way of life and that's through shogi games and after his parents death ( cough cough ) he was taken in by a old friend ( I think ) of his dad's who was also obsessed with shogi. Kyoko is the biological daughter of this man who has "adopted" Rei and later on Rei was came to know Hina and her sisters, they were super supportive of him from the start and having lost family members themselves they related to him on a personal level.

So you see why Eren and mikasa's dynamic matches with Rei and Kyoko and not only as "step siblings" it's also the fact that Rei became somewhat obsessed with her through the time he had spent over at their house, it's toxic and it's been showcased that way ever since kyoko was introduced into the series. Rei thought of her when he heard the word "love" and he even admitted to the fact that having her around is toxic and yet he can't push her away. He said he does not want to stop hearing her voice even tho she , herself is in love with a much older man who is married. Everytime she showed up to his bedroom uninvited and slept next to him my mind went "he is in love with her and their relationship is so toxic why does the author keep bringing her into his life?" Or "girl get the fuck away from him".

Without even thinking too much deep into their physical connection I already knew I would be able to related this dynamic to Eren and Mikasa. Although this series gives us much more depth into the main characters views since it's narrated from his own perspective, and the fact that he metaphorically compared his feelings of being lost and sadness helps me as an audience to understand what's happening much much easier than attack on titan. I personally feel like this kind of series are usually short ( idk how long this is) because it feels like the author knows exactly what he is going for, everything is set in stone.

Going back to Rei's ( mikasa's) relationship with kyoko ( Eren ) it's much much clear how toxic it had become for him in more than just one way. And the show isn't denying Rei of his feelings towards Kyoko and it's not even attempting to distant him from her and yet you just knew there had to be someone better right? That's when they introduced Hina and Kyoko in the same episode, meeting each other and a sense of invisible rivalry gushed over them, especially Hina. She is a happy go lucky girl and extremely sensitive to things to the point it kinda annoys me everytime she bursts out crying ( but hey you can't hate a genuinely good character ).

That's where things get interesting for me maybe because I am on that Levi X Mikasa agenda all the time but just like rivamika their relationship has been portrayed as platonic for the longest time in the seaosns. If I didn't go out of way to search up who Rei falls in love with and it didn't say hina's name I probably wouldn't be making this comparison right now because who wants to have their heart broken for the 2nd time in the same fucking month 🙄.

Anyway so in this one episode Hina comes home crying because of bullying issue at school and as she runs off into the dark streets Rei chases her and eventually catching up to her takes her hand and being able to relate to her problems, comparing his younger self to her present Rei reaches out his hand and God fucking damn it he says "you saved my life..I promise I'll stay with you" ofc I'm making this post now you know the real reason 🤡.

The unseen build up that happen between them reminds me of rivamika, the Portrayal of healthy relationship is rivamika. Hina (in our case Levi ) to Rei is the voice of emotion, she speaks out the feelings that Rei has been surpassing all these years inside of him. Just like how we talked about Levi is the voice of reason, while Mikasa has the impulsive urge to act up. Just like how Levi became the perosn who reasonably always took mikasa's side, he gave her personal reasons to take Erens side everytime have an actual meaning towards the scouts / everyone , he then became someone Mikasa was able to object & voice out her opinion towards because she knew that he would response and guide her the right way and finally he became someone she was able to fully trust.

Much like Hina and Rei, when Hina cried out her heart and Rei couldn't help but go back to his past self and imagine Hina coming to him and giving him a hand, being his saviour. It's much like how Levi saw his past self in Mikasa present ( S1 ), Levi gave Mikasa the hand she needed when she didn't know she needed.

Hina despite being much younger than him, was able to make him realise that he too was shutting out his emotions and was able to let himself be free through Hina when she cried, expressing her frustrations and very human like emotions. In the forest of the giant trees when Mikasa and Levi saved Eren for the first time he told her " we got your precious friend, didn't we?" A slight wake up call he had given her for the very first time, an attack on Mikasa's ego and evoking a different emotions within her. Like telling her it's not only about Eren and getting revenge, risking your life so easily, Levi had lost his entire squad in order to protect Eren so now that he is safe they better leave now.

So the question is did Levi and Mikasa save each other?

What can I say that I haven't said already in here about these two?

"you saved my life" Rei says to Hina as he reached out her hand and the beauty of that scene was the fact that it was delicate and soft despite it not being anything romantic. Remind me of that panel of Mikasa touching Levi's shoulder. How ironic is the fact that I'm comparing Hina, a openly emotional character to Levi who is said to be the most emotional inside?

Levi physically saved Mikasa a lot of the time however emotionally Levi saved Mikasa from being selfish and from herself. What if I said and ignoring 139, that Levi was one of of the biggest reasons Mikasa took the initiative and decapitated Eren that day?

Wait why does it feel like I already said it before lol

Through Levi, Mikasa learnt to trust more, learnt that even though they gave difference not only in height, age and in how they treat Eren ( Levi with force and Mikasa with care ), Mikasa still came in terms with Levi and relied on him, shared her burden with him. I think that's the biggest character twist Mikasa had, the fact that she was ready to draw sword at anyone who treated Eren wrong and everyone was scared of her and then came the grumpy shorty who beat her beloved brother right in front of her but eventually he became the biggest form of support she had in the end. I just can not help but laugh at all the unseen development this ship has had and all the implication of Futher interaction after season 3 between them, it's really obvious they had something going on because imagine you don't talk to someone for like 3 years and suddenly when you engage in battle against , paired up with them suddenly you become the strongest duo known to humanity. +?)!#)# make it make sense.

Sooo now you see the that having toxic relationship with a partner is only natural and inevitable but growing from that, opening your eyes to those who actually care there for you is rather healthy. So moral of the story is guys make sure stick with those who tells you to stay with them, the end.

Omg guys this turned out so much longer than I intended, anyway hopefully y'all liked it. I know it's not the strongest comparison or analysis but I feel like I'm running out of words for what I want to say about rivamika it feels like I'm recycling my sentences from previous analysis over and over again because ✨ lack of content ✨ and my inability to think of something new.

“I want to do it.”

Jungkook’s head whips sharply over to where the eldest is stepping into the middle of the open circle. The hush over the crowd of vampires makes Jungkook’s stomach clench.

What the hell is he doing?

This wasn’t a part of the plan.

Yoongi is staring at Seokjin in shock, his brain trying to come up with some way for their plans to work with this unexpected turn. The tall black-haired vampire’s face contorts in rage for a split second, then it snaps right back to a cocky expression as he looks Jin up and down. The vampire smirks and cracks his knuckles, taking a step into the circle and grabbing a handful of the human girl’s hair, making her wince when he pulls it.

Seokjin stiffens and the vampire chuckles.

“You think you could punish a stupid little human better than me?”

Jungkook sees the eldest cock his head from behind, but he doesn’t see the smirk dancing across Jin’s face when he speaks. “Yeah, I think I could.”

What the fuck are you doing, hyung?

The leader tuts and roughly shoves the girl back on the ground, “You must be new here, no one that stays here and knows who I am is stupid enough to talk shit to me, and think they can get out of it alive.”

Jin doesn’t seem fazed as he casually stares back at the vampire advancing slowly. That seems to set him off as he glares at Seokjin angrily.

“You want to fucking fight, asshole? Seems like you have a death wish.” He seethes and to everyone’s surprise, Jin just chuckles darkly.

“The fact that you’re a little taller than me gives you a slight advantage. So, sure. I think it gives you a fair enough chance to hold your own against me.” Jin muses absentmindedly.

Some shocked gasps sound from the crowd and a few chuckles float around at the sight of such a daring newcomer. Jungkook glances around the crowd and sees most of the faces are shocked, but a fair amount of them are just amused, wanting to see how this whole thing will play out. He curses under his breath and silently hopes that Seokjin knows what the hell he’s doing.

Another survey of the room shows him that a little more than half the vampires are male, and the rest are female, all of them starting to eagerly await Jin’s fate. The leader vampire stops a foot away from Seokjin, smoke practically coming out of his ears as he appears to try and stay calm.

“You asked for it. Vera, get this bitch out of the way, he can do whatever he wants to her if he comes out of this alive.” The girl vampire immediately drags the human girl to a corner of the room and shoves her to the floor. Jungkook hears Namjoon curse quietly, no doubt trying to come up with some way out of this.

Then Yoongi leans close to Jungkook’s ear and whispers so quietly that Jungkook almost misses what he says. “Once things start to look sour, we’re going to start a fight. You hit me and then we’ll go at it like a couple of schoolboys. Get everyone’s attention toward us and hopefully we can start some chaos. If everyone starts fighting, we can start picking them off and it’ll be hard to pinpoint who’s fighting who. Tell Namjoon.”

Jungkook nods subtly, then waits a few seconds before leaning into Namjoon’s ear to relay the message. He’s almost flooded with relief that Yoongi has come up with some kind of a plan to deal with this, even though they have yet to find out if it works.

At least it’s something.

Namjoon doesn’t acknowledge the maknae’s words, but Jungkook knows he heard them. Then they turn back to the scene unfolding before them. The circle has gotten a little bigger to accommodate the two with enough room to move around, and the looks on the vampires faces have all turned into bloodthirsty grins as some of them even chant for their leader to rip Jin’s throat out.

Jungkook hears the name Jeong repeated a lot, so he’s assuming that’s the leader’s name. Jeong is a few centimeters taller than Jin, but it doesn’t look like it’ll do him much good. If an outsider came in and made a bet on who they thought would win, Jungkook is sure they’d pick Jin; he might be a little shorter, but he’s still tall and he has more visible muscle than Jeong. The only thing that makes Jungkook nervous is the fact that Jeong is probably a vampire that wasn’t turned from a human, so even if he doesn’t look like he has more muscle than Jin, he’s going to be a lot stronger anyway. Jin doesn’t look nervous though, as he sizes his opponent from head to toe with a laidback manner.

The first swing is so sudden that no one was expecting it, except Jin that is, who ducks swiftly and sends a quick jab at his opponent, hitting him in the stomach and making him stumble a little. But Jeong has gained his balance after a split second and is angrier than ever when a titter of amusement floats through the crowded room.

“I’m going to fucking kill you.” He hisses at Jin, and Jungkook doesn’t doubt for a second that he means his words. Jungkook tries to look on the leader to see if he’s hiding something, like a weapon. Because there is no way he’s going to let Jin live, but he can’t kill him with anything but silver.

A couple minutes pass as the two throw a few more punches, the tension in the crowd growing. That’s when Jungkook sees the tiniest glint of something in Jeong’s pocket. The vampire starts to reach for it after getting a hit at Jin, and Jungkook realizes with a pit in his stomach what it is.

He has a knife.

And Jungkook is willing to bet that it’s made of pure silver.

So, he turns to his left suddenly and hits Yoongi square in the jaw, sending him a silent apology for no warning. He holds back as much as he can, but Yoongi still stumbles and falls right on his ass, the shock that slowly turns to anger on his face is something Jungkook doesn’t think he’s trying to fake.

Thankfully, a few vampires noticed it and jump back in surprise. Yoongi gets to his feet and lunges at Jungkook. He’s a lot shorter, but he is no weak vampire. Jungkook braces himself for the hit he knows is gonna hurt, only flinching a little at the bone breaking pain his older brother sends him in the form of a punch right in the nose.

Fucking ouch.

Then he’s inwardly praising Yoongi’s acting skills as he takes another swing at him, “You little shit! I’m going to fucking kill you!”

Ok, maybe he isn’t acting.

Jungkook dodges his older brother’s hits and notices with satisfaction that they’re drawing the attention their way. Namjoon picks up on what they’re doing and when it’s chaotic enough for him to get away with it, he turns and punches a random vampire in the face. “What the hell? You fuck!” He yells as if the other vampire had done it first.

That sets all hell loose as fists start flying all around the room, some just wanting to join in the fight and others in retaliation for getting beat for no reason whatsoever. Jungkook almost starts laughing at how easy it was to get the room of vampires riled up, but he holds back his laughter as he starts to realize maybe he hit his hyung a bit too hard when Yoongi lunges angrily at him again, getting another good punch in for revenge.

Sounds come from all over the building as other vampires run to find out what the ruckus is all about, Jin and Jeong’s fight completely forgotten by everyone but the two of them. Jeong was distracted enough with the initial disruption for Seokjin to catch him off guard and tackle him to the floor, where they now roll around and punch and kick each other fiercely, bloody mouths spitting angrily.

When Jungkook has a second to breathe, he looks up and does a double take when he sees Jimin through one of the windows, waving his hands frantically and screaming something that Jungkook can’t decipher. Then Jimin seems to see something behind him and ducks back into the darkness.

What the fuck is he doing?

Then, Hoseok bursts through the back door, panting as he scans the chaos that ensued while he was gone. He’s got blood on his chest and hands and Jungkook sighs with relief with the knowledge that Hoseok must have taken out the group that went hunting. Then he turns and barely misses getting clocked by a girl vampire that was swinging a wooden club at his head with a crazed look in her eyes.

He grabs the club before it hits him and kicks her in the stomach, sending her flying across the room. Jungkook flinches and moves to punch whoever grabs his arm, but when he turns and sees Hoseok, he checks himself and lets the older drag him away from the fighting.

Hoseok is shouting something, but Jungkook can’t hear him.

“What? I can’t hear you! What are you saying?” Jungkook screams back, trying to be louder than the absolute roaring in the building. Hoseok’s eyes are huge with fear as he grips Jungkook’s shoulders and yanks him closer, screaming into his ear.

“HUNTERS!”

That’s when the front door flies open and people dressed in all black, masks and baseball caps helping to hide their faces, stream through the door. They’ve got guns with silencers on them as they start shooting at random. Jungkook’s stomach plummets to his feet and he pushes Hoseok towards the back door just as Taehyung and Jimin barge in, their own guns up and shooting at the vampires, being sure to not hit one of their friends.

The Hunters aren’t so careful.

Jungkook sees Namjoon in a fight with a male vampire and yanks him away, pushing him towards the back door before plunging back into the fight and looking frantically for Yoongi and Seokjin. He finds Jin still tangled on the ground with Jeong, his nose and mouth bleeding freely. Jungkook spots a Hunter making his way through the crowd swiftly, heading right towards them.

“Hyung! Come on!” Jungkook screams and Jin looks up to see what’s going on, his eyes widening as he grabs Jeong’s hair and punches him in the face until his grip loosens. Then Jin is up, Jeong groaning on the ground but quickly starting to recover. Vampires drop like flies around them as Jin and Jungkook maneuver their way out of the fight. Jungkook sees Yoongi fighting another vampire and he goes to grab him when Jin pulls him back and shouts in his ear.

“I’m going to go get her!”

Jungkook watches Jin disappear into the crowd and growls in annoyance. They don’t have time for this! The Hunters will take care of her if she isn’t dead already. He trips over a body on his way to get his hyung, who seems to not have noticed the Hunter infiltration, he rights himself quickly and grabs Yoongi’s arm. Yoongi’s eyes widen when Jungkook gets his attention and he finally realizes what’s going on. Then, they squeeze through all the vampires and Hunters, trying to get to the eldest.

Jungkook sees Jin on the other side of the room, in a tousle with a Hunter that has a gun. Another vampire pops out of nowhere and grabs the Hunter, pinning him to the wall and moving to bite his neck. Jungkook sighs in relief, then his throat closes when he sees Jeong stumbling across the room as Jin hesitates. He can’t get through all these fucking people to get to him and his shouting is drowned out in the din of the fight.

“Hyung!”

Why in the fuck isn’t he running?

Then it clicks in Jungkook’s brain and he watches in disbelief as Seokjin leaps forward to rip the vampire off of the Hunter that was just trying to kill him a moment ago, freeing the man that stumbles away in shock.

The Hunter doesn’t seem to care that Jin just saved his life as he raises his gun to shoot him. But he’s too late.

Jungkook watches in horror as Jeong comes up behind Jin and reaches his arm around him to stab him in the side. Jin doubles over instantly, his hand moving to the knife as Jeong pulls it back out. The eldest falls on the ground, blood already seeping through his white shirt.

“Jin!!” Jungkook screams and fights his way towards them, finally getting through and grabbing Jeong by the shoulder, tugging him towards himself before sinking his teeth into the vampire’s neck. Then Jungkook grabs the knife out of the vampire’s hand and stabs him where his heart would be, watching the vampire crumple to the ground within seconds.

The small girl is suddenly by Jin’s side and pressing her hands to his wound as Taehyung rushes towards them. Jimin grabs Jungkook’s arm, shaking him out of his shock and screaming, “Get out of here, Kook! Go to the front!” But Jungkook shakes him off and strides towards the eldest, scooping him up and then turning to make his way out, hoping they don’t get shot before they can escape.

You stare open-mouthed at Jungkook in amazement as he finishes telling you what happened at the vampire hide-out. Then you look back at Jin and feel tears brimming in your eyes, watching him breathing heavily, his eyes shut tight.

“He’s hurt because he saved the man that was trying to kill him?” You whisper quietly and Jungkook nods. You sniffle and gently pat Jin on the head, relieved that you and the mysterious nurse girl were able to stitch him up and stabilize him a little while ago. You really thought you’d lost him when you saw all the blood. Your heart is still racing with fear as you feel Jungkook take your hand gently, bringing it to his lips to give it a small kiss. He pecks each of your knuckles before putting his head down and resting it on your closed hand.

“Thank you, y/n. For saving him.” He whispers and you hear his voice break. You lean up to plant a quick kiss on his hair. “We did what we could. He should wake up in a little while, and then we can give him something for the pain. We still don’t know why he turned human though…” You muse as you glance at the sleeping eldest once more.

Jin is like a big brother to you, and you can’t imagine what would have happened if he didn’t make it. You would all fall apart at the seams, you’re sure of it.

Jungkook lifts his head to look at his oldest brother, then he bites his lip and stands up. “I’ll be back in a little bit. You should have someone keep an eye on him while you get some rest, you haven’t slept all night.”

You nod and stand up to follow him out of the living room. Hoseok is just coming down the stairs, and he sends you a smile small. “You need to get some sleep, y/n. I’ll watch over hyung, alright?” He whispers kindly and you thank him quietly.

Jungkook slips out the front door, but you don’t ask him where he’s going. You know he would tell you if it was something you needed to be worried about. So, you head up to your room to find the girl from earlier curled up on the floor, a bunch of blankets under her to form a make-shift mattress and two more blankets on top of her as she looks over at you with wide eyes.

Ga-In is sitting on the floor next to her and a moment after you close the door, Yuri opens it and comes into the room, having been to the restroom. You walk over and sit down next to the girl, offering her a smile.

“Thank you for helping me earlier, I couldn’t have done it without you.” You say softly, noting the slight fear in the girl’s eyes that she tries to cover with a small smile.

“Of course. But I think you had a pretty good idea of what you were doing.”

That makes you laugh internally, feeling like you looked like a blubbering fish out of water as your head spun around in circles, trying to figure out how to save Jin. You look back at the girl and recognize the anxiety in her gaze, even as some of it is covered with relief.

“What’s your name?” You ask and she wipes her eyes tiredly. “My name is Sooyoung.” She whispers, making you smile.

You introduce yourself, finding out that her and the other girls had already gotten a bit acquainted while you were downstairs. Sooyoung tells you that she had been with that particular group of vampires for two weeks before the boys showed up. They had kept her alive because it amused them to make a game out of her fear. You feel like there is more to it and there’s something she’s leaving out with the way her eyes shift around, but you stay quiet.

Maybe she’s just nervous.

You don’t push it, just listen intently when she tells you that she was grabbed one night a couple weeks ago as she was walking home. You learn that she’s twenty-five years old, and as she had mentioned before, she is a nursing student. She was staying late with some classmates to study for their big exam that night and while she was walking home, she was knocked out and taken before she knew what happened. Sooyoung woke up in the back of a van full of vampires as they took her to that building the boys came to.

When she finishes her story, you four talk about random things to try and keep her mind off the vampires, hoping she knows she’s safe for now. More or less.                          

You know what it’s like to be taken and have no idea what’s going on, then to wake up in a place full of people you don’t know that will take amusement in your torment. You just hope she’ll be able to put it behind her and not come out of it too hurt.

You offer her your place in the bed, but she assures you that she actually asked to sleep on the floor, and she prefers it that way. She used to have a little mattress on the floor in her old apartment, and it reminds her of home.

A little while later, you lie in bed and stare at the ceiling even though you can’t make out anything in the dark. Today went better and worse than you had anticipated. Thank goodness no one was more seriously injured, but it was a close call for Jin…You turn on your side and put a hand to the side of your head as you try to think hard.

Why is Jin a human again?

It just doesn’t make sense.

There was no girl that kissed him…

You huff out a sigh and move to your other side, knowing you don’t need to worry about the two heavy sleepers on either side of you. You frown into the darkness.

Being kissed and turning human seems very farfetched, this isn’t a fairytale.

So, why did Taehyung and Jimin turn back after being kissed?

This is all too confusing and not something you think you’ll figure out anytime soon. You run your hands down your face and groan quietly. There’s also this Sooyoung girl, that you feel is hiding something.

She seems sweet and genuine, so you don’t feel like she’s keeping something that will hurt anyone but herself. Several times it looked like she was going to say something, then decided not to, biting her lips and darting her eyes away. If it wasn’t for her, you don’t think Jin would have made it. You sigh again and turn onto your back to resume staring at the ceiling.

This is all too confusing.

The next morning, the breakfast table is awfully quiet. Everyone is silently eating the pancakes that you made, which are good, but they don’t taste the same as Jin’s cooking. The bite in your mouth feels like paste as you try to swallow it.

Seokjin is asleep on the couch still, and the lack of dad jokes from him is really bringing the mood down.

Hoseok clears his throat and forces a smile onto his face, always the one to try and brighten the atmosphere. “Hey, cheer up everyone. I know things look bleak, but Jin hyung is alright! Thanks to everyone’s help, he’s pulled through. Now, we just need to make sure he doesn’t try to get up and mother everyone.” That causes a few giggles around the table and he continues. “It’s his turn to get a break and be babied…but nobody tell him that I said that, he’ll have my hide.”

Another round of laughter sounds and the mood lifts a little, everyone reminded that he’s okay, and the vampire camp was taken out. Jungkook comes in then and sends you a smile from the entrance where he’s hesitating. You wave him over and he comes in to sit next to you. He’s acting shy around everyone again, you notice.

Jungkook takes your hand gently under the table and you feel a blush dusting your cheeks, you don’t think you’ll ever get used to his sweet affection. After breakfast is done, everyone splits up the chores and go to do their work so that when Jin is awake, he’ll be waking to a clean house.

You and Jungkook take the kitchen. Jungkook insists on scrubbing the dishes while you dry them, saying that the washing part is harder, and you deserve a break. You giggle as he hums while cleaning the plates, soapy suds up to his elbows. His muscular arms look a bit out of place with Jin’s pink dish gloves on as they dunk into soapy water and clean thin glass plates decorated with flowers. You just keep trying to hold in your giggles and smile, so he doesn’t catch you staring.

Jungkook hands over the last plate and sees the smile you’re trying to bite back. He raises an eyebrow and leans his arms on the sink, flipping his long hair back by jerking his head and grinning at you as he takes a break. “You like what you see?” He asks teasingly and you feel your face burst into flames.

Your voice shakes a little as you dry the plate and try to look casual when you tease him back, “Maybe I do. You know, the helpful husband look looks great on you.”

Jungkook freezes at your words as he’s about to dunk his gloved hands into the sink to wash the forks. His lips twitch and you swear he would be blushing right now if he was a human, with the way his eyes dart around, trying to figure out what to say.

Your own cheeks heat up even more when you realize that what you said is also embarrassing to you. That wasn’t supposed to backfire like this.

Jungkook regains his composure and gives you a side glance that has your heart thumping in your chest. “Mm, really?” You see him smirk to himself as he rinses a handful of forks before turning and holding them out to you.

You reach out and wrap your fingers around the forks, then Jungkook pulls you towards him and you squeal when you almost smash into his chest. You stop a few inches from him and look up to see him grinning at you.

“Have you thought that about me before?”

You look away and will your blush to go down. “No.”

“You’re cute when you’re flustered.” He chuckles and you snatch the forks out of his hands, moving to a different part of the kitchen to escape his teasing. As you dry the forks furiously, you feel him watching you from the sink. Then he finally goes back to washing the cups.

Stupid.

Annoying.

Tease.

You wish you could find a way to get back at him without embarrassing yourself while you’re at it. He’s too good at this teasing thing and it’s getting on your nerves that you always end up being the one that gets flustered by the end.

You’ll think of a way to get him.

Jerk.

The both of you finish the dishes without you combusting into a flame of humiliation as you wipe the counters while he sweeps before you declare your job to be done.

Jungkook puts the broom away and lifts his hand up to you, which you clap with your own as he smiles. “Good work, partner.” He smiles sweetly.

Damn it, Jungkook.

“Ohh, no way!” You squeal and snatch the tattered blue book from the bookshelf that caught your eye as you were scanning your options. Jungkook chuckles and leans against the bookshelf as he watches you with a sparkle in his eye.

“Kookie, look! It’s the original Beauty and the Beast!” You exclaim and show him the title. He nods with a huge smile on his face.

He never knew watching someone look through old books and getting excited about what they find could be so endearing. But then again, you’ve proven him wrong about a lot of things. You always love when he reads you the book he found a while ago, so he proposed that you find a book to read him and you could take turns.

You trace over the delicate gold etching in the blue book, following the lines of the title with your finger.

La Belle et La Bête

“I want to read this one to you.” You say quietly and Jungkook wills himself not to scream from how cute you are.

“I’d like that.” He says calmly, opposite to the absolute storm of emotions swirling inside of him.

“I’m going to read some to myself first, though. I always read better when I’ve read it before.” You say shyly, keeping your eyes on the book. Jungkook tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear, “Alright. We can start whenever you want to.”

“Ok.”

Oh gosh, he is really going to need you to stop being so cute if he’s going to live through this.

“Hey there, bookworm!”

You look up from the book you’ve been so engrossed in for the past two days since finding it, your back leaning against the trunk of the willow tree in the clearing. Tae is striding towards you with a smile, waving his hand in the air as greeting.

You wave back and smile. “Hey, Tae! What’s up?”

The pretty boy stops in front of you and nods towards the book in your lap, “Whatcha reading?”

“Beauty and the Beast.”

“Ah, very fitting.” Tae smirks and you roll your eyes, “Shuddup.” He laughs again and you shake your head in amusement before closing your book. “It seems like you were looking for me, did you need me?”

He takes a seat next to you on the grass and groans as he stretches his long legs out in front of him. “I’ve been meaning to talk to someone about this, but every time I bring it up, they get uncomfortable and upset.”

“Even Ga-In?”

“Especially Ga-In.” Tae sighs sadly, “She has a tender heart.”

“She does.” You agree quietly, then you set the book down and give him your full attention. “What can I help with?”

Tae bites his bottom lip for a moment before responding, thinking about how to word it. “I know you must be thinking this too. I’m just wondering how Seokjin hyung became human…that’s all…” He mumbles before glancing at you. You nod in agreement, “I’ve been wondering that too. It really scares me how he could’ve died from that knife wound, being human and all.”

Tae shakes his head and you look at him curiously as he speaks slowly, “Actually, I think him turning might have saved his life.”

“What do you mean?”

“He must have been turning before he was stabbed, or else the silver knife would’ve killed him as a vampire.” Tae muses, his brows furrowed as he thinks about it.

Oh…

Oh gosh, you never thought of that.

You lick your lips to wet them and clear your throat, “H-how does that work, anyway? The whole silver thing.”

Tae keeps his eyes straight forward as he answers you, “I don’t really know why silver kills vampires. All I know is it needs to be pure silver, and if you get them in the head or where their heart would be, it’ll kill them almost instantly. But if you hit them in the arm, or say, in the abdomen like Jin hyung, it’s almost like a poison that will spread and lead to death slower.”

You nod, your stomach turning at the thought of Seokjin almost being poisoned slowly by silver if he hadn’t turned human before being stabbed.

So that leads you back to the main question.

Why and how did he turn human before he was stabbed?

“I just don’t get it…” Tae grunts in frustration. “I don’t get why Jimin and I turned, and why Jungkook hasn’t. And now Jin hyung turned and there wasn’t a girl involved at all.”

You try not to snort in laughter at the way that sounded.

“I don’t get it either. How could a kiss turn a vampire human again?” You wonder aloud, not bringing up the fact that it didn’t work for Jungkook.

Tae squints as he racks his brain. Then he turns to look at you, “Unless, it wasn’t the kiss.”

“What else could it have been?” You ask, your brain turning to figure it out.

You’re both grabbing your heads and gently knocking them with your fists, almost like you’re trying to physically beat the answer into your minds. After another minute, Tae growls and stands up, his hair a mess from pulling at it. “This is driving me crazy, gosh.”

“Me too.” You sigh.

“I’m going to take a walk and hope it comes to me. Enjoy your story.” He sends you a grim smile before turning to leave.

That’s when it hits you.

Tae whips around at the exact moment that you gasp. His eyes are wide and you’re sure he’s thinking the same thing.

“The story!”

“The book!”

You both shout at the same time, and Tae rushes over to sit next to you again. “Oh my gosh!” He starts laughing maniacally, his eyes wide and shining. “It wasn’t the kiss!” He shouts and starts to laugh again as you finish his thought.

“It was when they said they loved you.” You speak quietly and he nods tearfully. “It’s because they love you guys…you.”

“I guess that’s what happened in your story too, right?” He says and you nod. “Yeah, Belle loves the Beast for who he is inside, not outside. But what about Jin?”

“It’s because he saved that man…the one that tried to kill him.” Tae whispers breathlessly.

You both look at each other in wonder at your realization. “You turned human again when it was proven that you didn’t lose yourselves!” You shout, then clamp your hand over your mouth, looking around before taking your hand away and whispering. “Ga-In and Yuri saw the goodness in you two, and it proved you weren’t monsters. So, you overcame the darkness and became yourselves again.” You have tears in your eyes as Tae wipes at his own.

“Seokjin hyung.” Tae wipes his eyes again. “He didn’t need someone to fall in love with him, he proved his humanity by saving someone who tried to harm him…he never lost his kindness.”

You start crying freely as everything clicks into place. You’re feeling such overwhelming emotions right now, you don’t know what to do. You’re beyond happy about your new findings, but now your hope for Jungkook is plummeting.

You know he has a good soul.

But why won’t it work?

You love him, you know you do.

So, it’s because of you. It has to be.

Your love must not be strong enough to combat the darkness.

You failed him.

Tae watches your smiling face slowly start to crumple, another tear slipping out that he can tell isn’t from joy. He knows exactly what you’re thinking as he reaches out to touch your shoulders. “Hey, y/n. It isn’t like that, alright? You love him, and he loves you. There’s no denying that. I don’t know why it didn’t work, but it isn’t your fault. We’ll figure this out, ok?”

You nod and wipe your eyes, pushing the feelings of hopelessness, anger, and pain down and corking it inside. “We’re not going to lose him, y/n. Don’t despair, not now and not ever.”

You give him a sad smile, encouraged by his words of comfort. Then Tae frowns, “I don’t think we should tell the others.” You look at him in surprise.

“Why not?”

He messes with his fingers and looks away from you. “I love the boys, of course I do. But I also know them, and I know how badly they want to be human again. I’m afraid if we tell them, it’ll make them feel as though they aren’t good enough and they are beyond hope.”

You nod slowly in understanding as he continues, “They might also try to do something that will turn them human, and we can’t say if that will work, or if it has to happen without your knowledge of it. And again, if they do something and don’t turn back, they’ll lose hope. That’s the only thing they have left…they can’t lose hope.” Tae whispers so quietly that you’re leaning in to hear him.

You pull back when he’s finished and nod your head, “Ok, let’s keep it between us for now.”

You aren’t happy about the decision, but you know he’s right. You already saw Jungkook having a panic attack and not drinking blood because he was afraid it was his fault after he somehow found out that Jimin and Tae turned because of Ga-In and Yuri.

This is best for now.

After another minute of silence, Tae takes your hand and helps you to stand. “Well, let’s get back and see how Jin hyung is holding up. When I left, he was scolding Namjoon for dusting the mantel the wrong way.” He rolls his eyes playfully and you laugh as you grab your book and follow Tae back to the house.

You never saw him.

You never heard him.

Jungkook stands with his back pressing against the willow tree where he hid himself after hearing an odd conversation between you and Tae.

He was coming to sit with you…he thought maybe you could start to read to him today.

Now he’s trying his best to breathe evenly, and not panic.

Don’t panic.

Don’t panic.

Jungkook feels tears prick in his eyes and he covers his face with his hands, sighing shakily. “Fuck.” He mumbles into his hands. He knew he was too far gone. There isn’t any human left in him. He’s going to turn. He can feel it already, and he’s panicking.

Jin hyung never lost who he was.

Tae hyung never lost who he was.

Jimin hyung never lost who he was.

The rest of them still act like themselves and they will all turn back. They’ll all turn back and leave him all alone.

Fuck.

Oh fuck.

Jungkook brings his hands down, his eyes glazing over and slowly turning a deeper shade of red as the anger and panic swarm his mind. Then he pushes off the tree and moves deeper into the forest.

“Jungkook~” You knock on his door three times, then you wait. You have your book in hand, ready to start reading to him today. When he doesn’t answer, you frown and knock again; three soft raps.

“Kook, open up! Don’t you want to read?” Your frown deepens at the silence that follows, then you crack the door open and peek your head in. “Kookie?”

The room is empty. His plain grey bed a little messed up, but everything else is in its place.

Oh, maybe he’s out getting some blood?

He usually hangs out with you during the day, so that’s the only explanation you can come up with for him being gone. You sigh and close the door, then you make your way back downstairs to hang out with Seokjin and wait for Jungkook to get back.

“Hey, Jinnie!” You call happily when you see him sitting up on the couch, propped up with pillows as he sips on some broth. A huge smile breaks out on his face as you situate yourself on the chair next to the couch. “How are you feeling?”

“Like I’ve just come back from the dead.” He grins and sends you a wink, making you laugh. “What are you reading?” He glances at the blue book in your hands and you hold it up to show him. “Beauty and the Beast! I was going to read it to Kook today, but he must be out getting some blood.” Jin nods in understanding. “Well, that’s a good choice. I’m sure he’ll love it when he gets back.”

You and Jin keep talking, a few people coming in every once in a while, like Namjoon making sure Jin has taken his pain medicine, and Sooyoung shyly refilling his bowl of broth. Before you know it, the sky is starting to darken. You look out the living room window and frown, not having seen or heard Jungkook come back yet.

“You can go and see if he’s outside.” Jin says kindly, noticing the look on your face. “Don’t feel like you have to sit and talk with an old man like me.”

You look back at Jin to glare at him. “Don’t talk like that. You’re one of my closest friends, and you’re not old.” You grumble, crossing your arms. Seokjin’s eyes light up and he smiles brightly, “Tell that to the little shits next time they tease me. Thanks y/n, for everything.” He says quietly, “But seriously, go and see if he’s outside. He might not be feeling well, and I’m more worried about him than myself.”

You nod reluctantly, but only leave when Namjoon comes in to hang out with Jin. You make your way out the front door, glancing at the sky again and hurrying down the porch steps to find Jungkook before the sun sets. You decide to head to the clearing, hoping he might be there.

“Maybe you misunderstood, yeah maybe you heard them wrong.” Jungkook wrings his hands, smearing the blood on them and coating them even more as he tries to calm himself down. He takes another shaky breath and refrains from touching his face as he looks back down at his bloodied hands and tries not to let the tears fall. Jungkook swallows thickly, “Ok, just calm down. Calm down and go back to y/n, she can help you. She can fix this.”

“You turned human again when it was proven that you didn’t lose yourselves!”

Your words ring in his ears and he feels his chest tighten with anxiety. He’s been trying to convince himself this whole time that he’s okay, and that you love him. Now, he knows he’s too far gone. There’s nothing he can do to stop himself from turning. And it’s all his fault.

A choked sob leaves his throat and he wipes his nose with the back of his hand where there isn’t any blood.

Fuck.

They’re going to leave him alone…all of the boys are going to turn human without him and you’re going to see that he really is a monster, that he is too far gone and then you’ll leave him too.

He’s going to be alone forever and he’s going to be trapped in this body that he wants nothing to do with anymore, forced to drink blood forever.

Jungkook sobs again, grabbing at his hair. He doesn’t want this, he doesn’t want any of this. Why did this have to happen to him? What did he do to deserve this??

His legs start to shake and he pulls at his hair roughly, trying to focus and not break down. But he can’t do it. He can’t calm down. A pained and angered scream leaves Jungkook’s throat and he goes into the forest again before his right mind can convince him to think rationally.

A few minutes later, Jungkook is standing over a dead deer, no memory of killing it in his mind. He’s covered in blood down his entire front, his shirt soaked with it, a deep red that makes him sick to look at. Jungkook wipes his hands down his shirt, trying to wipe it clean, but he only succeeds in making it worse.  

He stumbles out of a clump of trees into the clearing that he must’ve somehow found his way back to. Then, his legs give out underneath him and he’s on the ground, curling his legs inward and holding them tightly to his chest.

“C-c-calm down…calm down. You didn’t do it, you didn’t hurt the deer. That was not you, you just need to go home and see y/n and go to sleep. Y/n will make it better.” Jungkook whispers to himself, his voice hoarse and panicky as he tries to convince himself that he didn’t just brutally kill a deer and drink its blood.

Tears well up in his eyes as memories of him drinking the Hunter’s blood and shoving you to the ground in the psych hospital flash through his mind. The way the sun hurts his skin when he stands in it and the fear in your eyes when you looked at him after you had been lost in the woods all night. The hurtful things he’s said to you, and the fact that even you loving him can’t save him.

He is too far gone. He always was.

You’re right, you are fucked.

Jungkook flinches violently and covers his ears with his bloody hands, “Oh fuck. You’re not here, you’re not here, you’re not here.” He looks around frantically as if someone is about to come out of nowhere and pounce him.  

Did you miss me?

The voice chuckles wickedly and Jungkook feels his throat constrict and his chest tighten with horror.

You didn’t think you’d actually gotten rid of me, did you?

You just step into the clearing when you hear a scream come from somewhere over by the willow tree. Your heart leaps to your throat as your feet take off toward the sound, praying that he isn’t hurt. You know who it is.

Jungkook is crouched on the ground, folded almost into a little ball as he plugs his ears and screams at the top of his lungs.

“GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY!”

You run over to him and gasp, your hands flying to your mouth when you see him covered in blood. His shirt is drenched in it, it’s up his arms and on his face too. Your fear only lasts a split second, then you’re rushing to him and kneeling next to him on the ground, pulling at his arms to try and get him to look at you.

“Jungkook! Jungkook, look at me, I’m here! I’m here, Kookie!” Tears stream down your face, unnoticed by you as you tug on him firmly. His eyes fly open and he looks over at you, then he pushes you away from him and moves himself back until his back is pressed against a big rock.  

“D-d-don’t touch me.” He cries and wipes at his arms and face. “P-please don’t look at me, y/n. Don’t see me like this.” He breaks down in tears again and chokes on his sobs. “I can’t do this! I never wanted this! I don’t want to be a monster!” He’s screaming so loud you’re sure someone miles from here could hear him.

Your heart breaks into pieces at his words and how vulnerable he looks pressed against the rock and desperately scrubbing at his messy arms and face. You crawl forward and grab his wrist, pulling it to you and wiping his hand with your clean shirt before he has time to protest. Jungkook watches you, his chest heaving as you make quick work of taking his other hand and wiping it clean as well. You get up on your knees and shuffle closer to lift your shirt and get his face cleaned off gently. Jungkook’s whole body is shaking as he watches you with wide red eyes. Fear, confusion, and relief swim in his gaze when you look at him.

“I- I didn’t do it.” You hear him whisper, almost as if he’s talking to himself. You pet his hair gently and stroke his cheek, “You’re okay, Kookie. I’m here now, and you don’t have to be scared.”

Jungkook blinks a few times, his eyes trying to focus on you again. “Y/n?” He asks quietly and you nod, “I’m here.” When you put your hand on his cheek, he leans into it a little, then something flashes in his eyes and he pulls away.

“I’m fine.”

“Ok.”

You don’t want to push him, not when he’s just had another panic attack. Jungkook looks down at your shirt and mutters, “Your shirt is ruined.”

“It was getting old and ratty anyway, this gives me an excuse to call dibs on the ones we found in the attack yesterday.” You reassure him, waiting for him to give you a small smile like he usually does, even when he’s upset.

But it never comes.

Jungkook takes your hands and moves you gently away from him enough for him to have room to stand. You look at him sadly, but he doesn’t make eye contact with you. Jungkook stands and starts walking to the house, silent as a grave.

You follow him quietly, watching him from behind and hoping he just needs some sleep. When you two make it to the house, he goes upstairs to his room, shutting the door before you get a chance to say anything.

The next morning, Jungkook doesn’t come to the kitchen archway.

He doesn’t smile shyly at you and sit next to you.

He doesn’t hold your hand under the table or help you feed Koko, giggling at the way the little fish gobbles down his food.

He doesn’t offer to read to you or pick flowers with you.

Jungkook doesn’t even talk to you.

You’re sitting on the front porch, your chin in your hands as you look out at the afternoon sun lighting the forest with its warm glow. A small sigh leaves your lips as you stare at a patch of blue flowers and will yourself not to cry.

You don’t move when the front door opens, but when you see it’s Jungkook walking down the front steps with his hoodie up, you straighten and call out to him.

“Kookie! Can we please talk?”

Your hearts sinks to your feet when he completely blows you off, making his way into the shade of the trees without sparing you so much as a glance.

A single tear slips out and you take a shaky breath.

This is what you’ve been so afraid of.

You thought maybe you were just paranoid, overthinking things like you always do.

But as you watch his back disappear into the woods, you know it’s true.

You’re losing him.

My review and why I recommend this novel:

Well first of all of course because THERE IS SO MANY FLUFFY SCENE IN THIS NOVEL! KYAHHH! i mean- who wouldn't love a novel that start with the FL having a wet dream (when it's actually not a dream at all😏) in the starter story of the novel! But let me get thing straight if you thought this novel is a smut one because of the FL having a wet dream then you are completely wrong💀 this might get into the adult type but not r-19, because the author didn't describe specifically the deeds that they did in the night. (kinda disappointed over this fact, but ohh well).

And if i were to describe the plot, this one has the same plot as 'The Kind Older Sister Is No More' where the FL fiancee cheating with her own lil sister and the FL get mistreated by her own family even if she did everything for them. And eventually leave her own family and get her revenge to them with the help of ML. But the difference between these two is when TKOSINM revenge progress on her own family is slow and take a lot chapter to get her revenge on them (maybe because the center of that story is revenge on her family and the mystery of her origin). This one is pretty fast only because of the foolish lil sister action that makes it all seems easy. And maybe because the center of this story is more to why the FL can accept ML's body even if he is a dragon and her origin of her mysterious power.

What about the ML in this story? He is a grand Duke that has a dragon blood in his veins. The day she accidentally ran into him she got his brooch that will transfer her into his rooms when the night comes and him getting surprised of how she gets transferred there but later forget about it and progress to making out with her throughout the confusing situation 😏.

And first of all if you ask me if this considered a rape or not idk how to answer that, because the one who always reach out to him first is her and yea he once told her that this might not be a dream at all but she doesn't believe it💀 until she gets pregnant ofc.

Well for why I recommend this novel to you because this novel not only has a lot of sweet scene where the ML always pampered the FL with love that she never gets during her life with her family. The way the author wrap the story without forgetting the main problem is pretty good and The way the author can make the readers mood turn into a roller coaster in each chapter is amazed me so much that i always willing to wait for the new chapter of this novel, although the chapter that getting translated is still a little we shall wait for the further story and plot that will be progressing in the future! So yeah just give it a go I guess!

"Can we leave now?" Rowan asked.

Vaughan shook his head. His friend dismissed his question with an airy wave before he said, "If you want to leave so bad, why come at all?"

Rowan didn't know the answer to that. High school parties were not his scene, nor were social gatherings with more than five people. He had never attended one before and he had no idea what prompted him to come now. He ignored his friends' words, making his way towards the table where drinks and snacks were kept. The music blasted loud enough to cause a headache, students stumbled around in the cramped space with no semblance of balance or control whatsoever, smelling of sweat and alcohol.

His mood soured when he was elbowed in the ribs for the third time in the cramped drawing room. "If we can't leave, I am going out for some fresh air. Ring me up when we need to leave."

And then he walked out of the lake house towards the woods in the back, the cool wind a welcome relief from the humidity from inside.

Rowan halted when a familiar voice drawled out, "You are boring me, Finn."

Rowan turned to find Aelin Galathynius backed against one of the walls of the house, one hand stuffed inside her pocket while the other clutched a black heel in it and an insolent smirk on her face. Archer Finn stood in front of her with a few of his friends and a smug look on his face. Aelin's eyes darted between the three of them as if she was deciding who to aim the heel at.

"Oh, sweetheart," Archer chuckled, stepping forward. "It's cute how you think you stand a chance."

Rowan expected the girl to step back. She only smiled at the asshole—the kind of smile that promised nothing good. "Maybe but I bet I can hold you back until my friends come."

The grin faltered from Archer's face for a moment. "You are bluffing. No one knows you are here." Then he stepped forward again. Aelin stood her ground.

She yawned in his face, all arrogant and rude. "If I am bluffing, why is Rowan here? I am sure my boyfriend would love to show you how this will go." A jerk of chin turned all the attention towards Rowan. He schooled his face into neutrality as he stepped forward. This was stupid. She was smart, she didn't need his help to get out of trouble. He should have left.

But Rowan walked towards them, towards Aelin. "Take a walk with me?"

Then he turned his most withering glare towards the boys, daring them to stop her. Archer and his friends exchanged nervous looks, shuffling away. Once they left, Aelin released a relieved breath, slumping against the wall but the nervous tension hung in the air around the two of them. Then she lifted herself off the wall, walking towards the woods. When Rowan made no movement to follow, she looked back with a raised eyebrow.

"Aren't you coming? You are the one who asked me to take a walk with you."

Rowan nodded, making his way towards her. They walked in silence, Aelin looking around at the trees and the grass and anything she could find. Rowan had his eyes trained ahead in order to spot any broken branches waiting to attack them. Finally, the girl opened her mouth again, "Sorry I called you my boyfriend. That asshole won't leave me alone."

Rowan nodded in response.

They fell into silence again as they walked but this time instead of watching her surroundings, she was looking at him. "Are you sure you want me here? I can leave."

"I am sure," he said.

Aelin shook her head with a small sigh. "You refuse to talk," she said in quiet voice, halting beside him. It was strange seeing her quiet and calm. Normally, Aelin Galathynius was an overwhelming vortex of energy, shouting and skipping from one place to another—not this quiet, unsure person.

"It's not personal. I prefer to listen," he told her, halting beside her. Then he added, "You can talk about anything at all and I will listen."

She grinned, not her usual unrestrained grin but it was bright enough. "You will regret that. I talk a lot."

He shouldn't be here. Archer had left, she was fine and he had Vaughan to return to. His roommate had a tendency to make terrible decisions when drunk and he had left him alone for long enough. He should have returned but he only moved forward, pace slow enough for Aelin to decide if she wanted to leave or follow him further inside.

"Thank you," Aelin said, falling beside him. They found themselves a large boulder to sit on. "I can talk about anything I want to?"

When Rowan nodded, she started talking and gods, she did talk a lot. She talked about books and her favourite dishes and her friends and her parents. Sometimes, she talked so fast, Rowan had to concentrate extra hard to make sense of her words. When she was talking about something she didn't like, her eyebrows puckered ever so slightly and she picked at her nails unconsciously. Her turquoise eyes came alight with excitement when she talked about something she liked. Sometimes, she was so focused on talking, he had to remind her to breathe.

Rowan yawned, turning her attention towards him. "Bored of me yet?"

He shook his head. "Not bored. I am tired," he answered. He hadn't gotten much sleep after he had returned from the diner, had wondered why she behaved strangely after he had touched the bruise on her wrist, had wondered if there were more like that on her body.

Almost as if Aelin heard his thoughts, she tugged the sleeve of her black shirt down. Still, a small smile remained on her face as she climbed down the boulder. "You really will regret letting me talk all I want one day," she warned, flashing him one last smile though. "Aedion and Lorcan will be worried."

Rowan followed suit, walking her out of the woods in companionable silence. This time, she didn't say anything to fill the silence. With one last wave, Aelin walked away from him.

Gods, Rowan was screwed.

"You son of a bitch," Someone shouted from the kitchen. "I will skin you alive!"

Rowan groaned. He was about to leave when he heard that voice, the one he had been listening to for a half hour before he returned to the party. Vaughan was waiting for Rowan outside the lake house now that everyone had started leaving and even the music had quieted down. Most people either crashed on the sofa or went home already. The ones who still remained were too drunk to drive or like Rowan, too tired to bother with it.

When Rowan peeked inside the kitchen, he found a drunk Aelin draped over the kitchen table beside the punch bowl.

"Ace, come on babe, we'll find a room and wait for Lor," her friend said.

The golden haired guy looked like he was done with Aelin for the night who refused to move from the couch. She grinned at him, flinging herself off the couch onto him. "Rowan!" He almost fell back on his ass at the collision, catching her just in time.

Her friend looked over at Rowan, eyes widening in surprise for a minute, then said, "Please help me get this diaster of a woman to a bedroom!"

"Who are you callin' disaster, Fenrys?" Aelin pouted, pulling back.

Fenrys rolled his eyes. "Will you please come wait with me in some room, Ace?"

"No! You called me disaster!" And then before Rowan knew what was happening, the punch bowl went flying towards Fenrys. He cursed, diving behind the kitchen counter for cover.

Aelin moved towards him, wobbling, then tripped over the bowl, hitting her head on the counter. The curses that escaped her mouth in return were vulgar enough to curdle all the milk in the world. She lifted herself off, almost crashing face first on the ground again but Rowan was prepared this time, catching her before she could fall.

"What you doin', Ro-Ro?" Gods, what had he gotten himself into?

Fenrys spoke as he rose from behind the counter, slowly backing out of the room. "Hold her still. I am calling Lorcan, he'll take her off our hands soon. Don't let her move." Then he was gone, leaving Rowan alone with a drunk Aelin.

Aelin shouted at her friend's retreating form. "No, leave me! I am not a damsel in distress. I am a damsel doing damage." As if to hammer her point home, she threw another glass in the direction where Fenrys disappeared.

They could hear him shouting into his phone. "No, she isn't listening... Get here fast, Lor... You don't think I tried?! Some help would be nice!"

When Rowan tried to hold her still again, Aelin thrashed wildly in his arms, flinging her limbs in all directions.

"Aelin, you are hurt," he said, rolling his eyes as he scooped her in his arms. "You are only going to hurt yourself more if you keep doing things like that."

She was beyond the point of listening though. Gods, if he believed sober Aelin was wild and stubborn, he didn't know what to call drunk Aelin. Fenrys stepped inside looking tired. "I am never letting her drink again for months. If you can, we should wait for Lorcan in the guest room. I have the keys, come on."

Rowan raised an eyebrow. "Why do I need to help? She is a handful."

Fenrys only waved a hand in the air in dismissal, whistling a bawdy tune as he led them towards the guest bedroom. Aelin had calmed down a little but Fenrys locked the room anyway in case that she went nuts again.

Rowan carried her inside, laying her on the bed, still unsure if she would be up and running in a minute. Aelin was frowning down at her palm red with blood. Indeed, the place where her head had collided with the kitchen counter was wounded, blood trickling out of the small gash. Fenrys cursed again, almost as vulgar a vocabulary as Aelin's. He nodded towards Rowan. "I will find her a first aid kit if you can stay for a few more minutes. Thanks for the help."

Rowan said, "I will stay."

Aelin sunk back into the mattress, glaring at the two of them, muttering something that sounded suspiciously like 'overprotective bastards' before she shut her eyes. Rowan smiled. Aelin Galathynius was smart and cunning and wild and insane. She was like a ticking bomb poised to explode but when she did, he had no doubt she would be the most gorgeous firework of all.

Rowan pushed the thought away from his head as soon as it came.

Hello JeanMarco fandom? Are you there? This is the fandom of 2020 telling you it’s time to come back to the series if only for a month.

It’s been 84 years but Jean finally learning the dark truth of Marco’s death topped our list of favorite moments with over one-third of the fandom selecting it (35.7%). “Yelena the shit stirrer” was second with 20.6%.This Jean-focused chapter netted Jean the third and fourth favorite spot as well. “Jean and Magath’s argument” and “Jean’s idealistic daydream” tied for third with 7.9% each.

"Erwin being implied to not support the rumbling" I wanted to choose this as one of my favorite scenes along with Hange's "I don't support genocide" <3

The biggest highlight of the chapter definitely has to be Jean punching Reiner upon learning that the latter was responsible for Marco's death. Ever since the truth about Marco's death was revealed a while back, I was awaiting the scene of Jean learning the truth about Marco's death and how he would react towards Reiner regarding it

Why is nobody talking about Yelena and Pieck pleaseeeee

I didn’t think it was possible to love Jean more than I already did but this chapter proved me wrong. I was so glad he finally learned what happened to Marco and at least got that closure.

Loved Yelena messing with everyone's emotions and calling out the truths that nobody wanted to recognize

Jean punching Reiner was my favorite moment of the chapter. Finally that evil fuck is getting what he deserves for what he's done.

The only people Yelena didn’t drag were Pieck and Falco. She has good taste.

I actually found Jean’s dream sequence to be a little unsettling, maybe because of Isayama’s style of not drawing certain facial features clearly, like the eyes. It was almost more foreboding to me than sweet, peaceful, or nice to see.

My favorite moment was the reaction shot where Mikasa was going to charge Annie and everyone is freaking out but the last panel is Levi just sleeping.

Was it Mikasa? Was it a girl with exactly the same hairstyle and scar who just happens to look like an older version of her? Most fans seem to think it was very clearly intended to be Mikasa with solid numbers. Or at the very least, considering the eyes were hidden (a common manga trope to confuse identities), proof that Jean has a definite type.

That woman in Jean's fantasy is very clearly Mikasa, you can even see the scar in one of the panels lol

I think it isn't exactly Mikasa, but Jean *does* have a type and Mikasa heavily influenced it by being his big crush back when all his hormones were firing at 200%.

Hating on Hange puzzles me, I understand people who support the rumbling, but saying she is bad for wanting to stop the killing of billions is just frustrating to me.

I'm tired of negativity flowing from fanbase. Everyone would like to see genocide; blood and rotten bodies of innocent people, but even Eren doesn't want that!

Genocide is morally and ethically wrong as hanje said which I agree with. What I don't agree with is her acceptance that once eren dies the eldians on paradis are gonna genocide within a few years. That fact that she hadn't thought of anyway to get around this is disappointing.

If it was Isayama’s Intention to make me feel bad for the rest of the world, he should have focused on it for a larger portion of the story cause honestly, they all can burn in hell for all I care. Innocent or not.

Most of you seem to think it was character progression (56%) that he reached out to help Gabi in that moment as a man, instead of as her commanding officer. We shall have to see if Magath’s attitude continues to soften, and if so, could it potentially be a microcosm of the world’s attitude to Eldians in general?

This was the moment where all of us felt like our view was taken on board however, and it was brilliantly done.

It’s not looking good for the old guard as many people think Hange and Magath have a good chance of dying, 48.7% and 45.2% respectively. A lot of people have also interpreted Jean’s development this month as an ominous sign (37.9%); it would certainly be one way to follow in his commanders’ footsteps! Before they can reach Eren, the Alliance needs to first get past the Jaegerist. Only 12% of respondents expect this to be easy. Super excited for next chapter! It was good exposition and a good setup for an epic fight! I also kind of hope that now that they've figured out the trick to stop fighting and finding diplomatic ways that they don't directly resort to violence but at least try to find a way to talk with the Jaegerists. If they don't try to talk and find a way around then the lessons learned won't have meant a thing. I'm super happy with the direction of the story

Meh this arc has really a lot of problems with the characters, basically i dont care for anyone at all except eren and reiner, and that's a major flaw.

[Yelena] pointed everyones hypocrisy out that they aren't just victims who did nothing wrong. Everyone, except of Falco, has cover they hands with blood. It's not just ""muh Marley, muh Eldia or muh Yelena"". Everyone have started sins and are to blame for something. It was a really necessary wake up call, not only for the characters, but for this fandom as well. No matter if this was her intention to create more drama in the group or make them realize that they and not different from each other. GREAT MOMENT and Yelena absolutely slaying 👑

Every major character during this arc had moments of extreme fragility and desperation. mikasa, connie, armin, hanji, reiner and now jean. i love this because it would be extremely weird for a group of people who constantly put their sanity to test to remain the same (strong and capable of fighting and leading in every situation)

Since the end of the second world war, japan was reconstructed almost entirely by young people, so probably this story will end showing that with some analogy. making that previous statement, i think it won’t be eren, or any of the older characters, since they lived and did the horrors they did and must somehow pay for it(and specially the PTSD most would have, so they’ll be probably incapacitated in some way), i think it will be Gabi, or maybe Falco or someone else, because they are just lost, Gabi changed her mind and personality so well(progress, developed it), so that’s why i think it would or maybe even should be her. am i expecting too much from Isayama?

I believe in the Time-Loop still. But ya, hope Final Battle is with Levi and Eren teaming up. (Also Mikasa a bit before...)

He agrees to defend Desfontaines

Despite V's efforts, they still plan to burn Desfontaines and the police tell V to back off

V decides to blackmail Fleury as a last ditch effort: by bringing up M de la Trimouille who had groped the young Louis XV and only exiled to keep the news from getting out

It works and Desfontaines is placed under house arrest instead

uh oh Rohan-Chabot is on the scene. He hits on Lecouvreur. She turns him down and he tries to grab her. V steps in and tells him to leave and RC says the famous "Voltaire, Arouet, what's your name anyway?" V says "Voltaire. It's not a grand name like yours, but I do not dishonor it" RC goes to draw his sword and Thieriot talks him down by saying V isn't armed.

Aaand he's at the diner party and gets jump by RC's men in the street. Y'all know how it goes. He asks his hosts to help him report it and no one does cuz nobles stick together.

GOD IT WAS SO FAST PACED AND THEY DIDNT SHOW ANY OF ENGLAND AND I GET WHY BUT HE WAS EXILED AND CAME BACK IN A MATTER OF LIKE 10 MINUTES LIKE F U C K

I was gonna do a post summarizing my thoughts and I still might, but honestly I think I already said a lot of them through these posts: Really liked the show, liked the actors and writing and production. There were small changes made from real life but no unnecessary or weird ones. My major issue: the fuckin pacing. Either make it more than 4 eps or isolate a shorter timeframe to cover. It moved way too fast which hindered it more often than not.

“Y/N” Gil speaks as he walks into my laboratory with JT and Dani, “thanks for hustling on this. I know these homicides were-”

“Amazing!” I said finishing up the autopsy report, “I mean, I’ve only read about The Surgeon’s meathods in textbooks. To see them carried out in person, it’s a real thrill!” Gil just raised an eyebrow as I walked towards them.

“So, three victims... based on the tox report, each one was injected with a different cocktail of paralytic agents that shut their bodies down one system at a time.” I explained using hand gestures with a surgical knife in one hand, “It must have been agony”

“It was”

Everyone turned to the voice in the doorway. There stood a tall, thin, and exhausted looking man, who undoubtedly was quite attractive.

“I imagine” he said catching my gaze, making me blush, “I have a preliminary profile.”

“Damn, Bright, you sleep at all?” Gil said.

‘Huh Bright that’s an odd name.’ She thought to herself

“Wow” Bright said pulling her out of her thoughts, “this suture work is amazing. These Y-incisions. You’re like Picasso with formaldehyde.” He said looking at me with his breathtaking blue eyes.

“Thanks” I chuckled back getting flustered. “And you’re very... slender” I mentally face palmed at my response and awkwardly looked away.

“Yeah, well, most food makes me sick” he said winking at me.

“What’s happening?” JT whispered to Dani as she shrugged.

Bright, Gil, Dani, and JT all discuss Bright’s profile and the case, but for some reason, I just couldn’t keep my eyes of that boy. Something about him drew me to him, but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was. The subtle wickedness in his smile and I could from his eyes, that he held something in his mind that cut deep, something he wanted to say, something that eats him inside and out. But who knows, right? I’m probably just over examining this kid, he probably just has insomnia or something. 

“They're also strangers.” Gil said drawing my attention yet again, “Nothing connects them. 

“Except for these.” Bright says as he lifts up the corpse’s arm. I tilt my head, “All three victims had the same bruising on their wrists. This does not match The Surgeon's methods.” Bright explains making me smirk.

‘This boy really is observant. Wonder who taught him.’ I think to myself. 

“Maybe our guy handcuffed Vanessa?” JT asks looking at the bodies. 

“These aren't from metal. My guess is quarter-inch-thick Japanese-style bondage rope. Simple but effective.” Bright replies.

“Exactly!” I blurt excitedly, causing Bright to turn his gaze towards me, giving a small smile, “I mean... I agree about the rope and its effectiveness, and, and everything else that you said.” I say embarrassed as ever, words shifting to mutters after realizing that I’m rambling. 

“Also, these bruises don't match the time of death. They're from earlier. Three days at least.” I say shifting my attention to Gil, “So, the women were all restrained, but not on the night that they were murdered.” 

Bright gave me a smile smile as the four continued to discuss possible suspects. Within ten minutes, they were already out with a lead, leaving me alone with my bodies. 

“What is going on in your head Mr. Bright?” I sigh leaning on one of the tables, looking at one of the bodies as if to find an answer.

“Damnit!” I yelled at my computer screen, seeing as I have only one move left on my game of Candy Crush, “fucking stupid game, only 40-year-old stay-at-home moms think you're fun!” I say as I wave my middle fingers around at the screen. Groaning, I start up a new game, when I hear someone running toward my lab. 

“No one should be here this late...” I say to myself, walking towards my door. When Bright bursts in, nearly hitting my face with the door. He stumbles in holding a blue and white cooler. 

“Bright? What are you doing here?” I say running to my computer to switch the screen to my emails, “if you're looking for the bodies, I already sent them out to another lab, but I mean if it’s importa-

“You really don’t need to hide the fact that you were playing games on your computer...” he interrupts, out of breath.

“Bright, what? Are you-whats going on? Did you run here?” 

“Almost...” he says slouching over, “I tried catching up to the ambulance... they left without this” 

He drops the blue cooler onto one of the tables. I notice blood spattered all over his clothes and face.

“Oh goodness! You have blood all over you! What the hell did you do? Are you okay?” I say running to him holding his shoulders.

“Yeah, yeah... I’m fine, uh I don’t know how to say this,” he says looking up at me with his bright blue eyes, “theres a severed hand in there.”

“What?!” I scream.

“We located Nico, turns out he was being held by our new suspect and there was a bomb, and, well, it was the only way.” he explained, still trying to regain his breath, “the ambulance left with Nico and I didn’t know what to do with this, so I brought it here to see if you could to any DNA tests?” 

I stood speechless for a moment, “Bright, I don’t think I have any permission to do this, besides I don’t have any access to any very accurate tests, its not like i have FBI equipment.”

“Right, I’m sorry. I’m just not quite use to working like this” he says, confusing me.

“Well the least I can do is get you cleaned up.” I said looking at his blood spattered face. I take him to the sink room, where he washes his hands and face. I notice his shaking hands as he cleans himself. 

“You’re shaking.” I say grabbing his hand. He looks down at me longingly, as I realize what I’m doing, and dropping his hand, “Sorry, I shouldn't have-”

“No. Its alright” He says grabbing my hand again. I look down to see his hand stopped shaking. 

“Tremors” he says making me look up at him, “I know you were thinking about it. I’ve had them since I was young.” We look into each other’s eyes taking in the moment, until I realize the the faucet was still running. I snap out of my trance and turn to turn off the running water. 

“Would you like a change of clothes?” I say trying to change the subject

“Do you have any?” he asks

“No.” I say getting caught in the lie. I rub my neck and slowly walk away.

“Well thank you Mr. Bright, I will take very good care of this hand and I will see you around... I guess” I say, going to get my jacket and bag. 

“Y/N,” he says making stop fumbling around, “I also came to ask if you would like to maybe go and have a drink with me someday?” 

I stand there, shocked at his words, “I uh, well um, I...” I stutter as he raises a brow, “Yes! I-I mean yeah... sure, sure” 

He smiles, “Great! Well then its, there uh- I mean its a date!” he chuckles, “Would you like me to walk you home?”

“Oh no its okay, I have a ride.” I say giving an awkward smile

“Alright then, Ms. Y/L/N, I will see you very soon.” he says giving me a smile as he leaves. I watch him walk away smiling to myself.
