even when people are supportive of transfems and our struggles it's often expressed through sexualization which just diffuses any care people seem to be trying to show. they just find it much easier to see us as sexual concepts even if they do care genuinely for us somewhere in their hearts, but that doesn't matter anymore cus the post they made fetishizing our struggles will keep getting notes and turn into a trend and then die just as quickly once we demand the material respect implied by our issues gaining visibility... it just frustrates me thinking back on the amount of sexual trends that focused on us and objectified us that some of us even fell into because all we want is to feel loved...

#this includes the blahaj meme sorry #and it doesn't mean you can't find positivity and love in these trends #i've done that quite a lot personally #the transfems who participate in them are often genuine and full of love for their sisters #and there's cases in which the trends were made By Us and then caught on in wider communities #but that loss of context creates the same kind of result #idk i don't wanna ruin anyone's fun i just wanna remember that these trends are laced with transmisogyny too #as all things are if they're destined to gain popularity in a transphobic patriarchy

I was telling my little sister about Gertrude Robinson the other day and she said something that kind of made my brain explode. I was explaining all of the terrible things that Gertrude did in the name of saving the world and how, on the opposite side, Jon avoided doing a lot of terrible things but ended up dooming the world anyways. She responded with the classic, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

i will always shout praises of bi4bi but given recent discourse I feel the need to say that I love bi4het too! I just love bisexuality in general in its many forms, and anyone who only likes it when it's 'queer enough' for them is biphobic.
