I do not ship Shirley and Jeff, but I do think it's deeply strange that they never get together in the show. Basically every other combination happens at some point (Jeff/Britta, Jeff/Annie, Annie/Troy, Annie/Abed, Troy/Britta, arguably Troy/Abed). Everyone other than Pierce has at least two romantic subplots with somebody else in the group, and Shirley gets what, Chang and Andre? Bullshit. She and Jeff have a great dynamic and they're the same age, I see no reason for them to not get at least an episode long subplot. It would be more compelling than half the other ships on that show, plus it might finally give Shirley some spotlight.
