Cowboy Carter Review

sorry if i write a lot. i like to yap lol

Ameriican Requiem- i'm a huge sucker for a sitar so i was gripped in from the beginning. i grew up on country music (mainly 90s/early 2000s) and so when she showed up at the CMAs and performed with the chicks it was a childhood dream. but as a person who liked country music around the time 9/11 happened, it's only become even more racist since. the way they treated her that night even though she was one of, if not THE, best performer of the night was so upsetting to watch. even as the best artist on the planet, at the top of her game, she's always going to work a million times harder than any of her peers. i'm so proud of her being able to make a song like to this to put her thoughts out on the whole night that night.

Blackbiird- obviously everyone has heard this song before. i was unaware of the actual backstory to the song since i don't follow the beatles too much (i like george harrison but that's about it lol). i was not aware that the song the song was written for black women during the civil rights movement. i assumed the song was mainly written by john lennon who to my knowledge was kind of a grifter when it came to his activism. having this song come right after ameriican requiem is so poetic.

16 Carriages- shockingly i was able to avoid hearing this song in full until tonight. i tend to only do one single per release and so texas hold em was the one. this song is so heartbreaking because i think about all the kids in the entertainment industry who can probably relate to this song all too well

Protector- these songs she makes for her kids... i'm gonna need her to stop. not because they're bad but i straight up can't listen to blue and probably this song because i want a mom like this 😭

My Rose- i hate that this is an interlude. it's so beautiful and not to be dramatic should've been 10 hours long

Smoke Hour • Willie Nelson- idk what to say about this one lol

Texas Hold 'Em- i love this song. the only problem i have with it is it sounds too clean. like the production sounds too clean. maybe it sounds better on the radio where the quality is lower than streaming but its definitely a song that needs to be played not so isolated.

Bodyguard- there's something in this song. she channeled carole king for this on or something. it's so good instantly a top 20 if not top 10 song of hers through her whole discography.

Dolly P- once again idk what to say about this one its too short to say anything

Jolene- i mean i think the same way about her version as i do about dolly's version. why are we getting mad at these women when we should be getting mad at the men?? take away that beyonce is beyonce for a second. if she was a normal lady and this girl was unaware her man was taken, isn't that more on him than anyone? he's letting it happen.

Daughter- her voice in this song is insanity. the control she has is unmatched truly.

Spaghettii- the beat omgggg. i know this would hit so hard in a mashup with "my house" i'm obsessed.

Alliigator Tears- just from hearing snippets of the country music that's on the radio nowadays, i think this might be one of the few songs from this album that they will eat up. i'm not saying that as a diss at all. i love this song alot especially after a second listen.

Smoke Hour II- i guess i can add on here a random tid bit. i made a country playlist in preperation for the album to come out. i made it on valentine's day. tell me why i named it KNTRY. i didn't even know the "radio station" she has on the album was called that lol.

Just for Fun- i don't listen to lana del rey anymore. i had a small time during last year where i did but then she got real messy again and signed that letter thanking joe biden. that being said this song sounds identical to "norman fucking rockwell". which is a compliment because both are good songs. keep jack antonoff away from beyonce though. that's the good thing about beyonce is she doesn't sound like everyone else which he makes everyone do (yes i am a fan of him but i'm critical of his production lol)

II Most Wanted- i'm sorry i've never been a fan of miley cyrus (except for the song she did for black mirror and that one EP she put out). i want to like this song because i like aspects of the song but it being a miley cyrus song with a beyonce feature is not want i want.

Levii's Jeans- this is also a collab i'm not a fan of. i actually enjoy post malone but i would've liked to see them in a more upbeat song.

Flamenco- idk how to take this song. it's stunning as usual. my thoughts on the lyrics though is she's kinda talking to fans maybe like the OG like destiny's child fans who have started to leave because she's starting to experiment more with her sound and they miss her old sound. i would love to know her take on this song in particular. because i know so many artists who decide to change their sound throughout each release are terrified of losing fans because they're so stuck on a certain sound.

The Linda Martell Show- another one i can't say much on since it's an interlude

Ya Ya- now.... remember what i said about bodyguard??? easily top 10. idk where on my ranking but it's there. the interpolation of "these boots were made for walking" and "good vibrations". there's something about that old soul rock sound that gets me every single time. i know that it doesn't sound anything alike but "freedom" has that same vibe, where it takes alot from old 60s blues soul rock. this is gonna hit so good on tour!

Oh Louisiana- i will say i really like this interlude. second favorite out of the ones with actual music

Desert Eagle- another song she chose to make extremely short when it should've been hours long... come on B

Riiverdance- its a fun and cute song. i think the beat is good but i think i like it more on my first listen.

II Hands II Heaven- i'm hoping this will finally click for me. im seeing everyone really love this song but idk whats not clicking for me. i'll definitely keep listening to it though maybe someday.

Tyrant- someone said this is the thique of cowboy carter and yeah i can definitely hear it. it's a sexy song and it's a fun song. definitely like it alot more after a second listen

Sweet • Honey • Buckiin'- her sampling "i fall to pieces" in this song is so special to me. i do want someone to take this "honey" and add it to the end of pure/honey though i wonder if it would sound any good. i think sweet and buckiin are the best songs out of the three of these.

Amen- i love how this really rounds out the album, calling back to the first song. it feels and is a very emotional song. don't know if i'll go back to it only because i think it could make me cry lol

overall, i think it's a solid album. if we're comparing the acts, which idk how you can because they're two distinctly different sounds, i would probably still go with renaissance but there's still so many solid songs on this album that are now some of my top faves. usually i rate out of 10 but it feels too low tbh, so i'm rating it out of 100. it will definitely grow on me just like renaissance did. 89/100.

oh my days hello! thank you so much, this is such a good ask! i feel like, if spotify is around during the problem, they have a group spotify account for sure! but i definitely have a lot of thoughts about their personal music tastes :)

lucy is probably a fan of artists like lizzy mcalpine, phoebe bridgers, taylor swift, olivia rodrigo. sweet hibiscus tea (post by my mutual that i adore) is such a lucy song, as well as iris by the goo goo dolls! her favourite taylor swift album is speak now all the way, and maybe midnights too! when she first met holly she made an angry girl feminine rage playlist about her with all sorts of feral taylor/olivia rodrigo music. she's the kind to listen to pop rock music on full volume in her room screaming every word of it and i am so here for it :D

george would listen to conan gray for sure! he also listens to lizzy mcalpine but he's more of a mitski, arctic monkeys, rex orange county type of listener. kid krow is one of his most loved albums, and his favourite taylor swift album is red! i also feel like he would listen to classical music sometimes, especially george cubbins! piano hits the sweet spot, and he plays it in his earphones while he's at the archives on a case / reading comics while curled up with tea. (RAAHHHH i can imagine it so well somebody write a fic)

lockwood definitely bullies george for listening to classical music, but theres a hc floating around tumblr that he plays piano -> he probably plays a few of george's favourite pieces for him! but as for music taste? he listens to taylor swift (for sure). he claims his fav album is reputation but it's actually 1989. he listens to lana del rey and his favourite album is norman f*cking rockwell or ultraviolence, and he probably dabbles around with the weeknd and older drake music! i feel like he also listens to coldplay!! he probably has a subtly named playlist with songs that remind him of lucy (first song on there is lucy lucy by betcha)! during the famous grocery store incident lore, a shitpost involving a lot of locklyle, one of the many hcs is that he played his lucy playlist instead of the group one time and was just like 😳

the skull probably asks lucy to play peaches by jack black just to see lockwood dramatically leap to the piano and sing along "soulfully" to it, saying lucy instead of peach every time LOL (he is belting awfully and hitting all the wrong notes and it is pissing EVERYONE off)

but as for a group playlist, just a blend of all their music tastes really. a lot of taylor swift, and they would listen to the radio often! (english people will know) they listen to radio 1's morning podcast with greg james while doing up breakfast!

Starring: Lizzy Caplan, Woody Norman, Cleopatra Coleman & Antony Starr

So, I watched this. lol With familiar faces like Lizzy Caplan & Anthony Starr in it, I just had to! I've liked Lizzy since Mean Girls and I rather liked her during S2 of Castle Rock, where she showed how well she excels at playing an unhinged woman. And she does it here again. Now Antony is ofc Mr. Homelander himself from The Boys so automatically I was very sus about him. lol This felt like a wild watch for me because I didn't really know what to expect since I didn't watch the trailer. Just saw a couple reviews that were mixed. I was told not to expect all the answers I wanted, which turned out correct. But I had fun?? Idk, it did set up a spooky atmosphere and there were some interesting camera choices. There were also some jumpscares that genuinely got me. I saw those Exorcist influences in there that only made smile cuz it wasn't a full-on copy but it was noticeable. Narratively, it's confusing and it takes a minute to get going considering it's not too long but man, once it does get going, it doesn't stop. The climax is action-packed but the conclusion isn't the greatest tbh. That's because it feels unfinished, BUT I do think it was worth the watch. It certainly had my attention. It prob helps I watched it on a laptop with my headphones by the time it was dark outside but hey, like I said, I didn't hate it. I get the mixed reviews for it, I feel conflicted myself, but I did not hate that I watched it. I do think I should have saved it for Halloween tho. That feels like it would have been more appropriate with it taking place on Halloween and with it being so intense but oh well. There's more I could say about it but I'll save that for when the challenge is over. No matter what watches come next, I do think this'll find its way on one of my lists somehow. heh

What with all the Spidey hype cause No Way Home, I wanted to take a moment to refute the myth that the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies were rebooted because he wanted to make Peter bi.

That’s not what happened. Full disclosure, I myself am bi - if biphobia was the cause, I’d call it out.

There’s a lot of misinformation about this so I’ll just lay it out.

- YES, Andrew posed the question of “why couldn’t Peter be bi/explore his sexuality?” He flippantly suggested Michael B. Jordan as a cis swapped MJ.

- YES there’s an agreement that states Peter Parker has to be portrayed as a straight white cis man.

- NO, Stan Lee did not get Andrew Garfield fired because of his comments. Someone confronted Stan at a con with Andrew’s statements, trying to stir up controversy. Stan had zero say in the movies - his producer credit was in name only. He jokingly said he needed to make some phone calls, and that he thought one sex was enough for anyone. Unintentionally biphobic? Sure, but I’m sure he meant no harm or offense. Stan was an old in his 90′s. Not the most eloquent, but he was also a bleeding heart progressive. People can discuss how he treated his artists or stole the spotlight in the early years, but he was always big into social justice - even in his later life. I recall when he was still alive, people blamed him for the movie reboot and said truly horrible things - which is heinous in it’s own right, but he was also a victim of elder abuse and attempts at defamation. Even now that’s he’s gone, his official social media accounts are active courtesy of people trying to capitalize on his name/brand/image.

So why then, were the movies rebooted, if not for biphobia? A few reasons.

- The Amazing Spider-Man 2 under performed financially and critically. Andrew was contracted for only one more film, and made that very clear.

- Sony wanted to milk the franchise. A Sinister Six solo film, Venom and Morbius (which we got/are getting), there was even talk of an Aunt May prequel where she was a secret agent. This was all detailed in the Sony emails (see below)

- Disney wanted to make a deal for Spidey in the MCU, in which basically they did most of the heavy lifting for the solo films if they let him be in the ensemble films, and Sony would sit back and get money.

- The Sony email leaks (which are out there online) were the big thing that made this possible, as Sony had been resistant to the idea. Amy Pascal stepped down from the position she had, and into a smaller role - due to a bunch of Not Great things she herself said.

Sony realized they were hemmoraghing money on this franchise, and they didn’t have a (good) plan. Disney did. They were really hurting after that leak, and Disney was there to bail them out.

Ok, but so then why then was Andrew Garfield not retconned into the MCU? After all, there had been plans for Avengers and OsCorp towers to appear in each other’s movies at one point?

It’s simple Marvel wanted a fresh slate, free of the baggage. They also wanted a teen Spidey, and Andrew was in his mid thirties at the time.

And on top of that, Sony/Andrew were already on the outs.

Again, the Sony leaks detail this - Andrew (due to being sick) snubbed and embarrassed a chief Sony executive.

After that, they were done with him and he was done with him. He’s spoken about how naive he was when he first got the role, and despite his passion for the character, studio and corporate interference soured his experience.

I do hope that he is indeed in No Way Home, so that he can have some proper closure with the role as a bisexual man myself (and I realize I don’t speak or everyone and my opinion is my own) the myth that it was cancelled due to biphobia or Stan Lee’s biphobia is just. Stupid. And incorrect.

Stan was an old man who tried to be funny and failed, and ended up being insensitive/offensive. I’m not offended, but I’m not denying your right to be. I’m just saying it literally has fuck all to do with him.

Yes, Andrew expressed an interest in it. That much is true. In follow up interviews, he said said he was kidding, but also not kidding. It was something that started off as a joke but he ran with, because why not? It would be new and different. There was an actor’s round table where he talked with Dev Patel, who lamented his own experience on The Last Airbender film. He decried the studio interference and their unwillingness to take risks, but it was much bigger than this “issue”.

MJ’s character was not cut from TASM2 because they wanted to introduce her later as a male character. It was cut for time, and because they wanted to focus on Gwen/Peter solely. It was uncertain as to whether Woodley would come back in the third one as the character, yes, but that’s because she had committed to the Divergent franchise - which was going to be a thing.. She said it made sense with the direction they were planning on going in, but do you know what that direction was? Norman Osborn coming back, after his head had been frozen. More Sinister Six set up, stuff with the parents. Webb has spoken about plans for the unproduced third movie, and MJ wasn’t really mentioned at all.

If you’re like me and so good at melee that Higgs basically didn’t even get in any damage till he choked Sam, then this might be especially interesting for you because turns out he can do quite a few things if you let him. He can even bite off a chunk of Sam’s ear. Who would’ve thunked. Look, he never stood a chance, the moment he dropped his gun It. Was. Over. For our bastard man.

The first thing you can notice in his final fight is that he ducks when he evades Sam’s punches. Let’s have a look.

Okay, that’s- He didn’t get hit so that’s good. Or bad. Depending on how you look at this, but let’s backtrack a bit here. Higgs ducks? And not just a little, he almost kisses the tar. *smooch* But... that just strikes me as werid. The game uses motion-capture so there’s a good chance Troy and Norman had to act a chunk of this fight out. So someone who knows how fighting works explain to me why the hell Mr. 6′3″ has to duck for tiny Norman?? Wouldn’t it be more efficient for Higgs to evade to the side or block Sam’s punches? What he’s doing here seems like too much effort for someone so big and strong, consideirng that Higgs has the additional advantage of his height so, shouldn’t blocking and evading be easier for him than Idk doing anything but that??

It’s weird, but okay. He’ll live. He didn’t get hit. So whatever, I guess, but you may be asking yourself the same question as I did after thinking that. Does Higgs... block? Surely he blocks at some point in the fight, it would be ridiculous if he didn’t haha. But he doesn’t. Higgs never once blocks a single punch Sam throws at him. He either tries to duck or takes it. There’s no in between for him. None. - And right now we’re just gonna try and remember that as we move forward in his fight.

At some point, Higgs will do what i think we all decided is our favourite thing about the fight and I’ve dubbed the Grapple Hug. Here’s a picture.

THIS COMPLETELY SENSELESS MOVE WHERE HE’S TRYING TO IDK SQUEEZE THE LIFE OUT OF SAM?! What the hell is supposed to be threatening about this?

Take a look at the position of his body for a moment. Take a look at his shoulder placement. Higgs didn’t mean to hug Sam, that just... sort of happened because of how long his arms are now. He barrelled right into Sam, shoulder first. Classic move to try and push somebody over or throw them off balance. Cool, so that makes somewhat more sense now. Still looks a little weird though. I mean, I bet there are easier ways for someone of Higgs’ size and weight to push somebody over or off balance.

Weight and size. Weight and size, huh?

If Higgs was half his size and weight that move would make so much sense. Even the fact that’s basically hugging Sam in that scenario because the arms of a kid often don’t reach that far. He’d just be trying to get some distance between them. Kids don’t have anything other than their own body weight if they try to do some damage in a fight against someone bigger and badder. Just throw your everything against them and hope for the best. Probably doesn’t do a lot but might make you feel better about the situation.

Oh wait, that also explains why he ducks because down is so much easier when you’re small and up against someone taller. Their punch is very likely going to miss.

He does another thing if you depleat a lot of his health and allow him to munch a cryptobiote, he will not punch Sam to gain the upper hand for the moment and get his food, he’ll just shove Sam’s face away. Which also strikes me as something that kids are more prone to do in a fight.

Higgs fights like he’s half his size and weight. Higgs fights like he’s still a kid fending off yet another beating. That’s why he’s not exactly doing what we might expect him to in that fight.

And eventually it leads to this.

It’s the exact moment before Sam can headbutt his lights out temporarily. It’s also the moment Higgs has given up. And you can see it in his body language, his shoulders are slumped and his head just hangs down and he does nothing more than to sway slightly. He doesn’t even try to move his head when Sam headbutts him.

After that Sam drags him to the shore of the tar puddle and Higgs once again affirms that he’s given up his fight against Sam. Not only that, but he basically gives Sam full permission to either kill him, lock him up or whatever the hell else he’s planned for him. It doesn’t matter what, but as long as Sam is the one to do it Higgs has accepted his defeat.

He’s clearyl expecting something here. Although it’s not specified what, we can guess that he’s telling Sam to exact his justice, or more likely in Higgs’ eyes punishment. Either way I’m convinced that if Fragile wouldn’t have shown up Higgs would’ve been a poster boy all throughout the ending.

Cause here’s the thing. He didn’t try to start shit again till Fragile showed up and they started bickering. She wasn’t part of his giving-up-equation and his reaction shows it. He was willing to surrender to Sam, but not to her.

And yet when Sam gets around to tying him up one final time, while he visibly isn’t comfortable (sore muscles and bruises galore I reckon), he doesn’t stop him. He doesn’t even try to run even though Sam only ties his hands behind his back. He just sits there like a good little duckling. Not happy with what’s going on, but glaring really is his worst offence during these moments. He doesn’t even get up to stand, although he does make an effort to keep his back straight instead of slumping down. Might, however, also have something to do with how Sam tied him up. Dunno.

So overall, Higgs can’t fight. Please God, nobody let him into MULE territory without at least a sticky gun, he’ll get his ass handed to him quicker than you can yell his name, because he seems to think to fight means to fend of a beating. Somebody give him a hug.

(spoilers! i'm so broken)

I didn't want to be right. I didn't want to actually believe that Emma was lying. If anything, I thought she was just lying about staying with her family when they crossed over to the human world, knowing she would be separated, but this.. oh my god. This girl knew ever since ch143 that she was going to lose her memories of her family and straight up lied to them about it. Granted, only a few days passed from when she returned from The 7 Walls up until they all crossed over to the human world, but still, I.. don't know how to feel. I knew since the prison break she had great acting skills so I'm impressed that she managed to pull off yet another wonderful performance, but wow.. I really hoped she wouldn't! To keep such an important and life changing secret from her family, who are all so important to her, I can't imagine how hard it must have been for her knowing this while dealing with the entire capital attack and GF plantation raid. Fighting so hard and succeeding in achieving a bright, happier future for everyone but herself.. ow, my heart.

Some people are fine with the memory loss, others aren't. If anything, at least she's the only one who forgot? I think it would've been worse if everyone else forgot about Emma instead, so having the promise only hurt her is fine.. well, it's not, clearly, but you get what I mean.

And if demon god wasn't on my nerves enough already, the little prat decides to basically photoshop every family member out of the photos Emma kept this entire time. I'm touched she still had the photos in her possession, but now this upsets me so much. Upon seeing the first set of raws and learning Emma lost her memories, I hoped that she could possibly remember them by looking back at these photos if she still had them. But no. Demon god doesn't want me to be happy or get my hopes up. It would've been such a cool idea though. We know Ray originally requested the camera because he needed to strobe for the taser, but he continued to take pictures, not only to keep up the act to prevent Isabella from getting suspicious, but to give said photos to Emma because he knew how important their family is to her. I would've loved it if something so important from the first couple arcs came back at the very end to help Emma regain her memories.

Not only that, but demon god also got rid of her id number? Like.. really? I don't know why that bothers me so much but it does. I know the id brands just proved that the kids were meant to be nothing but food. Of course I know that they're all so much more than that and I should be happy Emma lost hers, because it truly means she's free, but the number was a part of her you know? It would've been fine if every cattle child lost their identifier, but since it was only her it makes me think demon god wanted it to be that much harder for Emma to remember her past and family. That's what bothers me. That even now, after they all crossed over and don't have to deal with demons anymore, demon god still has the audacity ability to make Emma suffer. If she still had her number, I'm sure she would've questioned it, much like Ray did when he was younger (my mind thinks back to ch28, that one memory of him looking at his neck in a mirror). Maybe she would've realized that the people in her dreams also have the same neck numbers, if only faintly. (it must be so weird for Demizu to draw Emma now and not include her number after all this time)

That leads me to wonder if Emma has questioned the rest of her appearance yet. I would assume she's still missing her left ear, since her hair is still covering that side, so does she ever wonder about why it's missing? What about the scars on her body? We personally haven't seen them, but you can't tell me her back and abdomen looks perfect and clean after getting stabbed by Lewis. Yes I know, scars heal with time, but the scar on Lucas' face was still recognizable after 13 years. Same with Zack and his many unfading scars. So does Emma question where hers came from?

Moving on, a month passes and still no memories, however Musica's necklace seems to be the cause of Emma's vivid dreams, like it somehow brings life to her feelings. We see the necklace constantly, not only because Emma wears it, but on volume covers and other color pages as well. It's always been shown off as this important item and yet it hasn't really served a purpose yet. Emma recieved the necklace back in ch51 and the only thing its done so far was show her that one old vision at Cuvitidala in ch101. It'll be a real easy way to solve everything by having the necklace just conveniently bring back her memories, so I get why some people might not like the idea, but at this point I'd be fine with it.

Figures she would end up in the human world with someone who can sympathize with her pain. Old dude lost his family due to war but at least he can remember them. He asks if Emma would want to see her family, if they're alive, and she remains unsure and lost. She doesn't know who these dream people are to her, why they call out "Emma" or why it makes her feel better.

This panel.. this one right here is what breaks me. Our girl is so upset and she can't even understand why. We know why you're crying hun, it's because you miss your family. Your memories may have faded but your feelings for them still live on with you! I have no doubt that love you just as much too! My poor girl, someone send me her location so I can go and hug her!

Emma might have given up trying to remember who she was and live a new life, but if she did encounter her family again, I hope she would be excited to meet them as new people. Maybe they could all start over. Over time they could gently remind her of her past, and if Emma truly can't remember, I hope they'll accept her regardless.

And a name change? I'm.. mmm frustrated. Yeah it makes sense since she couldn't remember hers and would need a new one anyway, but aahh, really? No id identifier, no memories, no name; it's like she's a new character. I was never a fan of the amnesia trope, like she's such a great character and gets built up wonderfully, and now it's like you reset her to zero. Yeah I know, deep down she's still the happy go lucky girl we all know and love, who's strong and capable to still smile even now, but.. man, idk anymore. This whole chapter hurts me.

There's a dim light at the end of the tunnel because we get a glimpse of Ray, Gilda and.. at first I thought it was Don but that person is way too short, so Phil? Regardless, I gotta give them some credit. It may have been a couple months, (remember, old dude said he could't call for help until spring and there's flowers in the ground now) but they've already managed to find where she might be in this new, large world. Please, turn around though! She's so close to you guys, she's right there! Notice her antenna or something, I beg you!

Demon god said that even if Emma met her family, she wouldn't remember them, but I still have small hopes. Emma claim's she stopped having the dreams and given up trying to remember her past, but maybe that short amount of time believing in them was enough. Aside from the necklace which connected her feelings to her unconscious mind, the five sense can also recall memories. Perhaps if she heard her name now, outside of a dream, something in her mind will click. Maybe she would get that warm feeling again she once longed for. Sense of smell and taste are usually most effective in bringing back memories so maybe just being near them or having them cook for her could also help. I know the sense of touch usually works for when you personally touch something, but if it's possible to also recall memories by being touched, then please, for the love of god, let Ray pat Emma's head again! He's done it countless time over the years.. can you imagine if upon meeting and learning that she has no memories, Ray is just like "no worries, you're still the same Emma to us," and while he pats her head, she's like wait hold up, major deja vu, I feel like I felt something like that happened before. I'm probably only getting my hopes up real high with that idea (since old dude just patted her head and nothing) but bro.. I would honestly cry if something so simple and nostalgic as a head pat helps Emma remember her family even the tiniest bit.

And yes, I'm worried Norman isn't around. Please don't let me be right again by having him stay behind due to his health issues. Just let him be in another search group somewhere else okay? I'll accept that. It's odd he wouldn't be working alongside Ray but whatever, split your best minds up to create equally powerful teams, that's fine. It only worries me because now we might not get one last full-score trio hug like I originally hoped! I swear having a hug like that as the very last panel of the series would've been perfectly fine with me after everything that just happened. But now.. aahhh, we'll see.

I can't believe the series ends next week. There's still so much I want to see and know. I pray there's a happy ending for everyone. I want Emma with her family. I want her to remember them. I want one last full-score trio hug. Shirai, don't let us down! You played with my feelings so much within the past year, so please make all the stress and tears worth it! Give me an ending that will satisfy me so much that TPN replaces Black Lagoon as my favorite series! Go ahead, I dare you! Ya see that beautiful panel? Give that to us and not have it be a fantasy!
