nobody asked but since i’ve given up on my -old- hyperfixation of dear evan hansen here’s some of my opinions (i might do more):

i’ve seen things saying that some of the characters are bad people, like larry or evan or whoever. i don’t think this is true. none of the characters are bad people, granted none of them are good people. all of the characters are just trying their best with what they’ve got. this is just something that happened to them and they’re working with it. evan doesn’t want to hurt the murphys feelings by saying “actually i didn’t know him” so he lies thinking it was harmless and actually helping them. it just snowballed into something no one could control. and i think the murphys understand that bc they don’t tell anyone at the end. larry did try with connor not as much as cynthia- who tried too hard- but he did at least put in effort, he wasn’t a bad dad. he was just out of his depth, most likely he never sealed with any mental illness so he didn’t know how to help, same goes for cynthia. she was just trying to find something that would help immediately when things take time. she’d go from “one miracle cure to the other” (as the musical states) because she too was out of her depth and probably heard that this was the best or that was the best so she’d try all of them hoping that one would help her son.

evan dating zoe i didn’t like. i get that hed had a crush on her before the whole connor thing happened but it’s weird and wrong. he knows he lied (for a reason) but she doesn’t so their relationship already started off rocky, you can’t keep something that big from someone. what if they got married? had kids? would zoe go like “evan tell the child about their uncle connor, you guys were best friends in highschool.” and so the lie would just have to keep going forever. (this is if he didn’t tell them) that’s not good 🙅‍♂️ evan should have either lied about connor and gave up zoe or told the truth and tried working up the courage to talk to zoe. i understand his deathly social anxiety (i really do) but don’t combine the two. she just lost her brother. her brother just killed himself and you’re on HIS bed kissing HER.

connor and evan would have been such good friends had they met, this is something i think everyone in this fambase can agree on. had they met under the right circumstances they both would have hit it off. given that evan isn’t paralyzed by talking to him. (there’s more to this but i don’t feel like typing)

I love Brackenpaw in the graphic novel so much oh my god. He’s so polite and he only speaks in normal (by normal, I mean not-all-caps lettering you’d see in day to day) lettering. It’s probably to contrast him with how excitable and loud Cinderpaw is, but since Every Single Other Character always talks in all caps it just makes him seem like such a polite quiet little guy.. I adore him so much

DIVORCE ARC 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 (not really, they’re just an insufferable couple that SHOULD be divorced; think Hades/Persephone in Hadestown)

My thoughts are that they met in their early years of being gods and got married. However, they begin to clash because Lamb (i’ll come up with a name, i feel like this one needs a name) is the god of Chance, always believing mortals should get seconds chances and all that; in turn making them interfere with their deaths- which Narinder doesn’t like.

They get into a lot of petty fights. Their fights cause overall imbalance and mess up the fates and yadayada- yeahg. They spend most of their time apart, but they miss each-other a lot; mostly what they used to have.

“Oh my god, this guy is soooo hot.”

Immediately in your peripheral, a spiky head of hair instantly whips towards you, golden eyes wide and curios when they stare intently at you. “Who?” Koutaro asks, voice hiked with only the slightest bit of jealousy.

“Oh, just this guy on my Instagram feed,” you say, as if trying to brush it off. Your eyes flick back to koutarou, who’s mentally going through your followers lists to see who you could be talking about.

“Who?” He asks again. You snicker and try to bite it back with a cough.

“Just- just this guy, like he’s sooooo handsome.”

“What guy?” Koutaro has now taken the liberty of crawling towards you, only rather than jealousy and panic, his eyes are now shiny with intrigue. “I want to see the handsome guy!”

You tuck your phone away and cock a brow, “you want to see him?”

He offers you a shrug, “I like handsome men too; why do you think I hung around Kuroo so much in high school?”

“Kuroo’s handsome?”

“You DONT think Kuroo’s handsome?!”

“No, I think Akaashi’s handsome.”

“No, Akaashi’s beautiful.”

For a moment, the man on your phone is forgotten as you stare at each other, brows quirked before breaking down into a fit of shared laughter, your head thunking against his chest while his arms tossed around you, keeping you close. When you both manage to control yourselves, he nudges you again, “come on! I want to see the eye candy!”

You finish your giggles before moving yourself and your phone towards him, but rather than an Instagram post or account, it’s your camera, flipped towards you both. Koutarou’s cheeks dust pink and he strikes a wild smolder at the camera.

“You’re right,” he says, whistling at himself. “That’s one handsome guy. Damn. He’s too handsome-“ he’s now taken the liberty of pushing back slightly to flex his arms and shoulders, “-devilishly good looking; bet he’s got tons of people falling at his feet, he’s so handsome.”

“More handsome than Kuroo?”

Koutarou scoffs and shakes his head, “way, way more handsome than Kuroo.”

With that, he quickly wraps his arms around you and tugs you close to smother you in kisses, wet and noisy along your cheeks and head, and in your fit of laughter and squeals, your thumb slips and takes more than a few pictures, full of laughter and squirms and they’re perfect. You couldn’t have asked for better pictures.

And it’s worth the explanation to Kuroo when Koutarou posts those same pictures hours later, with the caption “say I’m much more handsome than @vlblmngr, not as cute as @a.kaashikeiji”

thinking abt how satoru is one of the only adults in the jjk universe who can separate the child from the situation/cards they are dealt with… yuji took in sukuna as a host and he’s the only adult who sees yuji as a child/his own human being while other adults see him simply as “sukuna’s host” who needs to die. thinking abt how satoru was also one of the only adults who stepped up for yuuta and that’s one of the reasons yuuta appreciates him so much… same with when he took in megumi. at the end of the day gojo satoru is the only one in the universe that knows what it’s like to be used/seen as a weapon or Entity rather than a person and he won’t let his kids feel the same way/he’ll do everything in his power to make them feel better & actually LET them be children!
