On a meta level or story level?

Story level is that Asphodel was having a lot of trouble grappling with his identity and with Matrons as the "mother of the family," and since Larkspur is a healer, it's on him to take over. His other option would be to have children, and inheritance can skip over him to a daughter instead--which brings with it its own issues.

The decision kind of got made for him though when he got pregnant, and Sunflower ended up being a huge support for him during that time. They were already close friends before that (Asphodel, Sunflower, Sakenti, and Amaryllis were tight knit while training!) so the switch to a romantic relationship wasn't hard.

On a meta level, Aggy convinced me of how delicious the love triangle potential was between Asphodel, Sakenti, and Sunflower would be, and I fell in love with it. Even more so with the impact that would have on Iris, (who is also affected by the story that Asphodel only had her and her sister because he needed an heir, and that's a hard position to be in--especially when you weren't even supposed to be the heir to begin with).

LG's pov: "time no longer flew like it was when the flash froze everything before. without you, i don't know if I could take this road" (we all know that LG painstakingly went back in time over and over again in hopes to create a timeline where CXS does'nt d*e. we don't know how many times he has done this but for him it doesn't even matter anymore bc he can't see a world without CXS in it)

CXS's pov: "every minute that I dialed back in time, every single existence rewinds, something secretive hidden inside your mind" (CXS to his seemingly rational partner. yes, he trusts him fully but maybe deep down there's a nagging feeling that there's something about LG he just couldn't figure out---and now we know why)

vortex (has both CXS & LG's pov but mainly LG's)

CXS: "where do we end up when we save the world, truth in the shadows so brightened in gold. place our fate into the ones aren't in control" (CXS' moral dilemma every single time he goes back to the past but really can't change anything no matter how bad it is bc this is the number one rule they've established w/ LG)

LG: "i guess that there was never such a thing like everything's meant to be. but i'mma win this silly game, until then I will never leave" (LG's evident determination to keep trying and gambling until he can win CXS's life back in the game of fate)

LG: "wasn't it hard to follow? i'd do it again tomorrow. it drag me down and drag me down. maybe we'll never leave" (LG knows he is a hypocrite and the guilt was probably eating away at him for the longest time, but at this point he is way past wrestling with his morality that it is no longer a question of how he saves cxs but "when"...in which timeline...and he will keep trying until then)

CXS: "i've held promises unbroken, even when the night has fallen" (referring to all the times he kept LG's reminder to try not to change the past no matter what happens and no matter how fcked up it gets. there may be times when he gets impulsive and tries to save everyone but in the end he know he has to accept whatever may come)

LG: "shattered mirrors our reflection, should you keep the light on reason" (referring to himself. he basically lost his mind when he loses CXS the first time that it doesn't even matter if he keeps on gambling away the fate of everyone else. what only matters to him is that he can get to an ending where he saves CXS)

idk if i am reaching but this is just me and my mental gymnastics after s2. i rest my case

a funny thing happened on the way to the holy land

also can we talk about Richard's Mediterranean Sidequest for a minute?

QUICK BACKSTORY—

in 1187 before he was even king, Richard is beefing with his dad in France. He hears about Orlando Bloom's majestic surrender in Jerusalem and everyone's like— STOP THE PRESSES, what the fuck

and Richard immediately squares up and goes "yo I'mma go fight Saladin" (and his dad and King Philip are like "yeah I guess us too" otherwise they look kinda like weenies in comparison I guess)

but they gotta resolve their family squabble first, which they do because… Henry dies (lol rip) and Richard becomes king in Sep 1189

Richard immediately RAISES TAXES and sells everything not nailed down, and several things that are. Including stuff like get out of jail free cards and appointments to offices? like, bruh. how is robin baffled over the state of Nottingham upon his return I have no idea

he also tries to make it so John won't revolt and utterly fails at that, but that'll be another post I'm sure.

Eventually in Dec 1189 (3 months after he's crowned ahaha) he peaces out, makes some further preparations in France, and then by summertime is rarin' to go a-Crusadin'

the sidequest

so he makes a pitstop in Sicily for unknown reasons (resupplying? he missed his sister?) and discovers his sister is Having A Bad Time™ so Richard burns Messina to the ground until he gets his way and then steals all their treasure

it ends up working out and, presumably, his sister is trying to fucking leave for someplace normal, while all the crusaders continue on their merry way to go fuck up Saladin

only a storm scatters the whole fleet and his sister turns up missing. He finds her and all the treasure which is obv the important part once again Having A Bad Time™ in Cypress.

(this is literally the definition of your princess is in another castle ahahaha)

so Richard casually conquers Cypress and then fucking sells it

So part 2 centers around blue's relationship w/ 2 of his abusers [Lavender and Pink]

While pink is a case of abused became abuser, Lavender feels important to talk about first,

With this first memory sequence it shows blue looking through old photos / memories between him and his sister, and lemme just say they're so adorable when they were young--

Since this episode deals with trauma bonding, blue is now still with pink and lavender, much to my dismay.. however it does show more about pink's relationship with her husband aswell!

Pink had likely opened up about her abuse with blue, since he did ask her about it in the past, now blue sees pink in that victim light [also pink's eyes are rlly pretty in a way,,,]

Seen a theory where with pink's lack of eyes is her "turning a blind eye" from her abuse in her marriage, she focused more on how happy she was during that day instead of trying to think of her abuse, so that's why she likely has her ring painted white instead of showing its true colors,

As much as I do sympathize with pink, she's still sorta iffy in my eyes, I just wish she could improve is all,, character development arc 4 pink maybe???

Anyways- so blue and pink are arguing, it's likely from blue's attraction to lilac, to which pink says "But you're so sexual" to which he's denying it?? It could be where he's saying "I'm a changed man."

But then pink is arguing with "if you make her cry then you'll be dealing with me."

Lilac and pink are likely either really great friends or they've met eachother way back when,, either way !! Pink's willing to sacrifice anything for her best friend and I think that's a pretty cute detail,, I guess??

So then blue blocks her out and walks away from the argument, maybe because of some.. disagreements or with blue being fed up with the fight? Either way he puts the glasses back on after it

A commenter said that with blue's glasses it's his way of thinking that pink still likes him, or whatever else the heart glasses mean,

lilac ends up getting fired because of purple.. for whatever reason? Does that make purple the department's boss or- idk what it means really,,but like- yuck.

Now purple is beginning to groom blue, And with clips of purple talking with lavender her tie is slowly turning blue aswell-... I swear if I see purple its ON SIGHT. ON EFFIN SIGHT. I WANT THAT BITCH DEAD.

more medical stuff under the cut + some general ranting. i have nowhere else to put this so...

still have no appointment for my gallbladder ultrasound so i guess i'mma have to call my pcp tomorrow and gently light a fire bc i really want to get that done monday if at all possible. if it is my gallbladder, then getting it out asap is high priority for me because i'm so tired of feeling sick ALL the time. if it was a matter of watching what i ate, that'd be fine but one day it's fine and i can eat normally and the next i'm sick as fuck. it's exhausting and i'm at the point where eating is, frankly, scary because i never know what might trigger and when.

in addition, i'm scared to tell my folks about it. honestly, i expect that the diabetes (both now that i know and am treating it and prior to the stroke when it was untreated/unmanaged/unknown) is probably the root cause of it and they already blame me (fairly, i blame myself) for the diabetes.

the good news is that my a1c is down under 10 again which is good cause a few months ago it was way up. papaw being in the hospital so much towards the end of last year/early this likely did not help with that and i've worked really hard to get it back towards being under control and also trying to get it back down.

but honestly? it's hard. my pcp wants me to attend some diabetic classes at the nearby hospital and tbh i'm kinda looking forward to it. when i got diagnosed, i was still REALLY out of it and in the hospital recovering from the stroke so although it was explained to me, that was a while ago and i was still really sick. then my family started controlling every aspect of my diet and so i developed a lot of issues towards the idea of food. being entirely honest, i haven't really enjoyed eating/cooking in a couple years now because i felt so incredibly scrutinized with every bite i was taking before i got my own place.

my dad's wife didn't help with matters either and our relationship is still really strained from all of that.

so it's like...not only am i dealing with a chronic disease that is really scary and hard to deal with, but i'm dealing with it half-blind because i never really got the teaching to understand it. and while i've done reading on my own, there's still a lot of fog surrounding it.

i'm also still waiting for a call for an appt to see a therapist and got my zoloft increased from 50mg to 100mg. not sure i feel better yet but it's getting there.

idk. shit's hard right now but tumblr is helping. i hope to get to where i can write again, at least a little bit.

A hand reached around and grabbed them in a loose fist, the larger's crimson eyes staring up after they rolled into their back, holding the smaller above their face. The chilling, cold voice calmly enthused, "Seems I won our little game." Whelp. Guess this was karma for trying a sneak attack.

oh my godddd light mode. i have so much to say about this, so just bear with me,,,

i have tried SO many different modes on computer. i LOVE goth rave and could DEFINITELY get used to it, but the activity box! it's so bright!! i have to strain my eyes to even see text 😭 and dark mode i have the same problem with, also it's too dark. low contrast mode looks like it's fucking underwater, cement is WAY too bright, cybernetic is kinda cool but again the activity box sucks and pfps don't go well with the colors (and that pisses me off), canary is blinding, ghost is worse, vampire is cute but the ACTIVITY BOX MY EYES IT'S SO GREY WTF, pumpkin is alr but the orange is overpowering and THE ACTIVITY BOX!!!!!!, snow bright sucks, and pride is just way too wild. so true blue for the win! i will sit with goth rave and see if i can live with it, but for now i'm sticking with light mode as painful as it is (fyi i don't have light mode for ANYTHING else if that eases the pain <3)

*SPOILERS FOR THE SECOND DREAM SMP WAR*

(everything I talk about is from tubbo, wilbur, and technos povs)

SHIT WENT DOWN TODAY LADS, GALS, AND PALS

okay everyone was on today. literally everyone and most of everything that happened before wilbur and tommy got on was just people bouncing from vc to vc, theorising who the traitor was, and last minute plans and loot gathering

tubbo and quackity had a moment before they gathered with techno, fundy, and niki. as they gathered, eret joined them and stated that dream stripped him of his title of king of the smp

they adopted eret into the group as wilbur and tommy joined the server

wilbur and tommy talked for a bit with each other before joining the pogtopia vc as they were yelled at by the same vc to join the call

once they did, chaos from that many people errupted and they moved from their spot to pogtopia over the span of a slow 10 minutes.

techno got tired of it and just yelled at everyone to head to his base under the lake. once they were all assembled in the public part of it, techno activated a secret door to a lower chamber with dozens of fully stocked chests full of weapons, foods, gear, and 5 full pieces of netherite armor

it was actually fucking crazy and everyone was wearing armor, except wilbur. once everyone gathered what they wanted, they returned to the surface where skeppy, bbh, and antfrost were waiting for them. the entire group of wilbur, tommy, tubbo, techno, quackity, fundy, niki, eret, bbh, skeppy, and ant made their way back to manberg

as soon as pogtopia was within range, schlatt and dream opened fire from eret's tower and the war officially started

pogtopia stormed the tower and chaos errupted. I couldn't understand anything anyone was saying but dream and schlatt ender pearled out of the tower towards manberg. idk if karl was actually fighting with dream and schlatt but he died several times but not really anyone else died

during the chaos, dream typed in chat asking to talk to wilbur. after agreeing to it and telling everyone to stand down, dream moved wilbur into a private vc. dream flat out said that schlatt's an idiot and wilbur was like yeah we know what's your point?

dream then says to join the vc with everyone else and after wilbur told everyone to shut up, dream said that they surrendered and led the group of like 15 ppl to the hto van. schlatt was there unarmed and defenseless

schlatt was washed up, drunk, and senile and it was actually really sad seeing the manburg dictator like that in the moment. jumping out of his stupor, schlatt started just punching fundy even though it pointless, he started calling quackity a flatty patty and so on and so forth. tommy eventually stepped in with an arrow loaded into dreams crossbow and pointed it at schlatt. words were exchanged and before tommy could fire the arrow, schlatt fell out of the world.

everyone was shocked but nonetheless, they started celebrating because the war was officially over and manburg was won back. in the celebration, wilbur told everyone to shut up again in order for dream to say that their was no traitor and he had lied about it.

more celebratory shouts and stuff happened, the vc was chaos, and whatever but wilbur told everyone to head to the podium. in doing so, wilbur told tommy to get on the mic as the president elect of manburg.

shocked, tommy took the stage for his first official speech as the president for manburg. tommy said it was a hard won honor to be on that stage back in manburg, and decreed that it was meant to be. he then said that manburg would again be known as l'manburg. everyone celebrated but tommy stopped them and said that he couldn't stay on as president, not until he got his disks back from skeppy. he then named wilbur as president to replace him

after tommy left the podium and wilbur stood in front of everyone, he decreed that the flag that signified schlatt's regime was to be taken down and l'manburg's yellow, red, white, and blue flag be errected once again. more cheers but wilbur stopped these as well and stated that technoblade had taught wilbur a lot and that in doing so, wilbur could no longer trust the government. wilbur conceded as president and named tubbo as president of l'manburg

wilbur left the podium and tubbo replaced him. tubbo have a fantastic speech and stated that they had a lot of work to do to fix up l'manburg but it was finally theirs again. and it was to be a place that everyone on the smp would be welcomed

everyone was finally allowed to cheer now that tubbo was the official president of l'manburg. while everyone was celebrating, wilbur said he'd be right back, exited the vc, and started making his way behind the podium. behind where the white house once stood...

wilbur than began to say chekhov's gun over and over again. he then entered the button room and sat down in the chair, looking at the button

eleven and a half stacks of tnt was rigged to blow under l'manburg and wilbur said that as long as the button was there, he just couldn't not press it

in the middle of wilbur's mental breakdown, the philza minecraft joined the vc and asked wilbur what he was doing. wilbur lied and said that he celebrating in l'manburg and trying to act cool

philza joined the game and spawned in the button room, behind wilbur

philza tried to talk sense into wilbur and tried to have him back away from the button. wilbur fully lost it and said that he was the traitor and had been all along

wilbur pressed the button, turned his back to it, and saluted philza as the tnt exploded and put a massive crater in l'manburg

philza killed wilbur and immediately took off through the crater, leaving wilbur in his madness as he laughed on. wilbur then stated that the traitor was both him and techno and that techno was going to spawn withers on top of the ruins of manburg

true to his word, techno spawned two and it was chaos, everyone was fighting a wither (one was called subscribe to technoblade)

in the chaos wilbur said that he wished the best to tubbo's presidency and that wilbur would be back very, very soon on the smp. he then ended stream and logged off

chaos ensued and tommy and tubbo managed some control after the withers were killed and asked everyone who remained on pogtopia/l'manburg's side to join a vc

techno then started lighting off his own three stacks of tnt on whatever was left of l'manburg. dream and george helped and everyone else who hadn't join the l'manburg vc just pretty much talked amongst themselves casually

in the mean time, dream said that his agreement with wilbur (I guess THE agreement about being a traitor idk) was that no matter what, l'manburg would blow up

I don't know what tommy and l'manburg talked about during this time, I had had to stop watching the streams but this is was happened today and holy fuck

they started taking down the festival decorations and dream said oh yeah no there was a traitor

techno is now toeing the line of villainy with an amazing analogue and spawned the withers

philza immediately is just like alright, half of my kids are violent anarchists and so I'mma suit up in full netherite and help the other half

in order, the old gods help me here, under the cut bc this is long as fuck

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

this also includes an incident when those ppl were like... passing themselves as throbb shippers and ended up trying to tell t*hramsay shippers off the theon tag based on moral reasons and I ended up arguing with all of them (and they were all from that crowd) which in turn landed me in contact with other og j*nsa shippers who were like detached from that fandom bc those same people harassed them away as well ssooooo fun

anyway when S6 happened everyone was high on it and whatnot but I wasn't gonna begrudge them that I mean... you shipped it for years, canon is delivering you, good for you, but then j*nerys happened

I mean personally I was there like are y'all seriously arguing about the best incest jon ship out there but like basically the j*nsa endgame side was like AH JON IS PLAYING DANY SEE IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN, the j*nerys obv got defensive af and both sides were sort of alternatively shitting on jon/ygritte anyway and depicting any other romantic rship jon could have as abusive™ and during S8 it just got worse and like I tried to stay out of it but basically from what I'm seeing now idk how the j*neryses are doing but on the j*nsa one it's ah jon's gonna play dany anyway and she's going to go insane like in the show so SHOW TRUTHING EVERY OTHER WAY and like again denying that sandor exists or that tyrion exists and like I barely touch my corner (sansan) but I ended up arguing with j*nsa/th*nsa people on twitter who were antis and is2g it was white-hair inducing and I know for sure the sansa/tyrion shippers were harassed to hell and back throughout so FUN

and even if the show didn't go there now since everyone there banked on the jnsa endgame thing and admitting you're wrong is like... not a thing, they still haven't let go of it and attach to that ship any shred of evidence which honestly is grasping at straws half of the time (like... the sansa/alysanne parallels like guys please no) and which is why every other ship is starting to get fed up, attaching canon proof of stuff from other ships onto theirs see that batb argument and jb is platonic but jonsa is not nvm taking all the sansan stuff and throwing it on j*nsa but then denying that sansan has canon evidence (like guys I had to read sansa touching his shoulder when saying gregor wasn't a true knight wasn't meaningful and we were seeing things please) and blah blah blah

this also goes hand in hand with the fixation on like... villanizing dany at all costs and like is2g I have zero investment in dany or her storyline I don't even remember it and I don't particularly care abt her either way and sure af I'm not for j*nerys endgame but like.... some stuff I read is completely excessive esp when fixing on how she's a completely mad tyrant who's gonna have to be put down and like... guys no

I think most of the og shippers are gone or don't ship it openly bc they don't want to be attached to the drama but like I also think they're pissing off everyone else bc like... You mentioned Tubbo wanting to escape the music box to where he wouldn't have to dance if the music box played, so does the box have a certain range of area in order to control Tubbo?

(Now for potential headcanon time >:D)

If so, a fluffy route is Tommy and Tubbo chilling (after knowing each other for a bit) and having placed the music box deep in the basement or something. They could get rid of it, but they don't know if the magic tied to Tubbo is also tied as close with the box. (Life line stuff- and it's not fluff anymore. I tried.)

The angst route tho (and gotta love some angst) is if say Tubbo is out of the general "range" of the box to dance but the music box calls to him-the music is played- from wherever. A scenario where Tubbo can't ignore its call and is forced to go reunite with the box- whether he's concious of the pull and heading back to where it is despite the dread or whether he's unconscious, like its an automatic process and his mind blanks as he hurries to be back with the box. (The possibilities if someone got their hands on the box with the angst mhmm)

And speaking of someone getting ahold of the music box...

Dream gets ahold of the box (maybe noticing Tommy originally getting it, or like, Wilbur might've been doing a photo gallery of things to sell to potential customers idk stay with me, and skips over it fast or is like "oh, I already sold that one" to try and cover the fact that the box is very much NOT for sale, and not within their possession in case anyone did perk up with interest)

I don't know what Dream's profession would be... or relationship with Wilbur and co, but I could see him doing it (taking the box) to mess with Tommy. He took one of Tommy's finds that Tommy seems to appreciate. (The whole "you're too fun" dynamic because c!Dream just loves seeing kids in pain)

Dream could know about Tubbo prior or after the whole thing. (After playing the music box, Dream sees Tubbo arrive at some point to be with the box)

Tubbo is understandably terrified. Tubbo and the music box had never really been separated before this moment -out of the range-. (Tommy could have either just agreed to not play the box and have put it downstairs or Tubbo tried to escape the range and Tommy physically went after him, not choosing to utilize the music box.)

OR ALTERNATIVELY They do know, maybe Tubbo could have known this would happen because Tommy and him tested it out to see if he was free and Tubbo was like "I didn't want to come back... it /made/ me come back..." So que the alarm bells when Tommy realizes the box is gone after he can't find Tubbo.

Anyway! Back to Tubbo and Dream. (Tbh as soon as doll!Tubbo became a tag I went "Pawn? Puppeteer Dream? Porcelain doll? Puppet?!) A chess piece for a pawn might be bigger than doll!Tubbo... (o.O) 2-3 inches is pretty small.

So... assuming Dream does realize how important Tubbo is to Tommy, Dream uses it to his advantage. (Is making Tubbo dance the only thing the music box can do? Or could it control Tubbo to do other things as well 👀... depending on the music box holder 👀... up to you)

That brings me to the doll!Tubbo is "fairly fragile" as you stated in one of the asks. Which yes, great, stunning, he can feel things, and if one of his arms gets chopped off? Well that's alot of damage. Can Tubbo die while he's "fairly fragile"? (I mean the name implies he's fragile so... I guess so...)

Because alternatively, (and this is just for the idea) consider Tubbo still being fragile physically, but he can't die-or atleast is hard to kill-. A porcelain body, but he doesn't really feel sensations. (Because he is a doll, and do dolls breathe, do dolls have heartbeats, hmm) Tubbo's body is still breakable, maybe he loses an arm. "What a shame" but he lives on, there's not much he can do. He can't feel anything besides the solids underneath him and the things he touches. No smell or texturized sensations. He can't feel pain, so he could get cut up into pieces and still be aware of exsistence. (The whole clothes stuck to body thing tho I don't want to disprove that)

If he couldn't feel pain, imagine Dream drilling small holes on his body to add little puppeteer strings. Dream is excited he can't wait to hold /this/ over Tommy's head.

Tubbo, being dragged by strings, is completely helpless, and once realizing that Dream relishes in his struggles, has mainly given up.

Do they talk to one another? Who knows...

You mentioned a potential counter curse which... fluff good fluff, but what of it involved Tubbo slowly gaining "human characteristics" back (more so to the idea that Tubbo can't feel sensations, smell things or feel pain)

And then the drilling starts, and for the first time in a long time, Tubbo feels pain. (Also the drilling puppet strings is dark, yessir, but I forgot Tubbo was porcelain and was like ah yes wood doll, ah yes, puppet strings go brr)

So (it's gonna be hard to answer all of this but I'mma try-)

Music box control: there is a range, basically if Tubbo can hear the music he has to dance to it- BUT if he's out of range and someone plays the music he is forced to get into range to hear it from the curse (like what you said with him being stuck in a trance and going to find it). As for control, you can use the box to make him do other things, but you have to change the melody (music boxes have this little metal roll in them that has dots to play the song, and you can buy a new one and change it any time) and sing an actual song to that melody about what you want him to do- singing to the original melody doesn't work

Dream: Dream is probably someone who buys and trades stolen items from Wilbur alot. And most likely a hidden fae. So, Wilbur had taken a picture of the box and posted it on his (secret) website before he knew about Tubbo, and when Dream saw it- he immediately recognised the cursed music box and wanted it. Of course by then Wilbur would be unwilling to sell it, but Dream has his ways (fae cursed the box remember? So, what fae that's going to steal this box do you think was there when it was cursed? Dream. So who knows how to utilize the curse? Dream.)

Tubbo and pain: Tubbo can feel pain. But he can't die. So you can shatter him to a million pieces and he would be in agony unless someone glued him back together- and he can't pass out- (I know, I'm a monster). Dream knows all of this- so when he wants a puppet it just makes him do a sloppy job at drilling the holes in, just so he can hurt Tubbo more.

Counter curse: through the counter Tubbo would turn back very slowly, and it would take at least a year to turn completely human again (although he would be free from the box's control instinaniously)- as well as, even though he was turned into a tiny doll, he can't be grown back, so he's now a tiny human- but at least a free tiny human

Okay also, I saw what you said with that flirting scene, and I agree that it seemed like Leon was trying to lighten the mood, but it so didn't need to be put in there at all @ the writers. Like this show could have gotten away with no romance, or just that one moment near the end with Claire and Leon (which, I don't ship them much, and that moment at the v end where she was like "are you ever gonna stop treating me like a kid?" And he responded with "probably not" or whatever kind of ruined whatever was shown earlier? Like it feels like she's had that convo with Chris before too, so I'm like hm no don't imply romance and then imply that he treats her like a little kid every time they run into each other, now it's weird lol) and been fine. None of the story was contingent on any kind of romance between anyone.

Now with that said, can I just say Patrick absolutely wanted to suck Leon's dick? Like he was smitten, and I bet you they at least fuck after all this is said and done, if not date for a short period of time. I thought they were gonna kill Patrick off, I'm glad they didn't tho, he was v wholesome lol.

Also I wanna mention that every serious moment (save a small handful) I just. I couldn't take it seriously, it was too over the top. Acid? Really? That's the self destruct measure? Slowly rising acid? I dunno, that doesn't seem quite right to me, I don't think that's how it works lol

Honestly they should have just made this into a new movie, bc making it a series implies more to follow and in general a longer narrative, but these eps were barely 20 minutes each, so there's almost no point splitting it like that. Did I enjoy myself? Yeah, I always do when Leon is involved, but it could have been so much better.

Also the silly little shipper in me is kind of desperate for more interaction between Chris and Leon, bc as far as I'm aware it's just RE6, RE vendetta, and RE ID (and I think the person who told Chris to save Claire in either code x or Veronica was Leon? Not 100% about that tho lol) where they actually interact with each other, and considering that they're the two main characters of the franchise, they should probably meet up more? Idk, that's just my gay ass hoping for more Chreon content lmao but still.

ANYWAYS yeah, I would rate the show like a 7.5/10? It wasn't amazing but it wasn't garbage, either. Probably my least favorite of the four animated movies tbh, but I will take the Leon content, thank you Capcom. Also it was interesting to see Leon around the time following/around RE4 and RE degeneration, I thought, I dunno.

oh boy I agree 100% it was wrapped up way too quickly in the end. like killing Jason? by just dropping him in the acid? it was way too simple and easy if you ask me. and like, why didn't he yeet Leon into the acid when he had him by the throat? him not killing Leon makes zero sense to me??

asdfg yeah I get they weren't ready to let Jun See go, but I bet Jun See really would've preferred to go...

I am so happy that they kept the one liners!! Leon felt very, very in character which I loved so much. I was afraid they'd tone it down or make him super serious or so, and it was such a relief they didn't. he was so eager to help and so goddamn kind to everyone I don't know if my heart can even handle it ;;;;;

also Claire!! so badass!! I loved the part where she attacked the guy with the lamp (yes Chris would be super proud haha) and THE HEADBUTT seriously, one of the top highlights of the entire series :'D

(but honestly this is gonna get long i'mma gonna hit that read more here)

and the flirting scene, I do think they could've left it out entirely and it felt a little strong-armed in. but I'm trying to look at the silver lining? Leon was super goddamn adorable in it, like, so cute it hurts :'D and Shen May didn't seem bothered really, it was more this joking thing between them. so while yes, it was unnecessary, i'm focusing on the joking feel of it and choosing to interpret it as such :'D

also, can I just say, the "romantic moment" with Claire and Leon near the end didn't feel very romantic to me? I know it's a romcom cliché (or at least a fanfic cliché lmao) how they ended up in a pile after the rescue but ...it didn't scream romance to me? although I do kind of like the pairing! (not a top fave but a cute one)

and yes, the whole "when are you gonna stop treating me like a kid?" "probably never" felt SO much like a sibling moment!! such big brother energy from Leon, and I don't know, that made me super duper happy?? I want them to be friends. I neeeed them to be friends gdi. which is why I am unhappy with how mad Claire seemed to be at Leon in the end and how they left it off like they did. I am hoping that it sets things up for a second season? and they for whatever reason need them on kind of the opposing sides at first? because otherwise it makes no sense to me for her to be that disappointed in him. in Degeneration they already establish they work in different ways towards the same goal, and for that to do a 180 now feels... like a disservice to the characters? idk?

lmaooooo but yes Patrick 100% wanted to suck Leon's dick he didn't even try to be subtle about it :'D idk I would've wanted Patrick to have more depth and screentime too, i so wish they would've made it a longer series and given the characters more development. because I liked pretty much all of the new characters they introduced! but it feels none of them reached their actual potential!

then again that is kind of the whole deal with resident evil in general, they set up awesome characters and end up wasting them half of the time :'D guess i shouldn't be surprised.

i agree, it feels like a movie. but I think @tirsynni is probably right when saying that it was sort of a test run to see if they should make more? which I am so hoping for. because even with the complaints I have of this, I DID enjoy it, a lot!! and I do want more! and maybe this time we get Claire and Leon actually working together for more than fifteen seconds! :'D

also I definitely would not say no to more Chris and Leon interactions. (yes it was Leon who told Chris to save Claire :) at least that) it... in general makes no sense to me how capcom seems to think friendships work? like how Sherry is all "Leon and Claire are my best friends" and then they imply they haven't met in years? if not more? idek it's. weird. it's like their characters go into storage containers in between their missions to be stored away so they can't even accidentally have personal lives or friendships or anything. weird.

(what I said about having amazing characters and ending up wasting their potential? yeah)

for me, personally, it's... well, my score for the show would depend on whether I just focus on the characterizations and what I liked, or if I try to actually take the plot and all into account too :'D but I did like this more than Degeneration! already the fact that Leon has actual facial expressions is enough to put it way above that one. (and for the record, I don't hate Degeneration either, I do like it, but... Leon is such a cardboard cutout with zero personality in it, it's super frustrating)

idk I think I need to still process this a bit to see how I will like it in the end :'D there are things i'm super hyped about in it, and things i'm disappointed in, let's see how they'll weigh in the overall experience eventually.

I'mma do this one first :D For those who don't know, Star Trek: The Original Series is my jam

You may have seen me go off about my various SIs before but that's what I want to do again kjfashfkjs

ALTHOUGH FIRST I do wanna talk about Spock

because I love him. I also love Kirk. BUT SPOCK IS REALLY SPECIAL and he's a main for a whole rainbow of reasons.

Spock is such a complex character and I think that's why so many people are really drawn to him. He's ostracized by Vulcans because he's half human, and he's ostracized by humans because he's half Vulcan. He acts as Vulcan as he can. He has a terrible relationship with his father. And he doesn't really quite fit in anywhere. He does the best that he can, always, and always strives to do good (and to be logical, but that logic is employed by Vulcans to do good in general imo, until you get into your extremist Vulcans who I've forgotten the name of now but anyway fuck those dudes). Even when other people are downright rude to him, he still helps them and does the right thing.

I feel like a lot of us can relate to not feeling like we belong anywhere.

And then of course his career choice ALSO further ostracizes him from his father. It's just! Man it hurts a lot how much he suffers. And he does feel very deeply (most Vulcans do) as much as he wishes he doesn't.

Anyway though, I'm sure these are some of the reasons I latched onto him in high school when my family sat down every night after dinner to watch Star Trek TOS.

At that time, my self inserting was a huge secret, and I wrote about it in my diary and told no one about it. I wrote pages and pages. I still have it - I started typing it up one time and got like 15 pages in? And we were still like. I mean. There was a lot left. I still wanna finish typing it up. That SI was intended to be the Literal Me. There would be time travel shenanigans (Star Trek has a lot of these) which landed me into the future, on the Enterprise, which it turned out was real despite being the subject of a tv show (don't worry about the details).

And of course, I already had a crush on Spock. So you can imagine the fic was largely him being aware of it and kind of ? about it while also teaching me about modern tech and science so I could adjust. Bones stepped in as a familial role as did Kirk at that time. I'm still very fond of this self insert and her story, even though it's no longer what I need. I really needed it back then. And it served it's purpose admirably. And I'm very glad I had it. And, frankly, some of the ideas from it? Stealing those for my new SI to use too.

For example, before I move onto the more current SIs, one thing I really loved about my first SI is she gets left on Vulcan for two ish years? She's got a baseline of knowledge now but no proper training in either science equipment (Spock did his best but you know) or like, Starfleet procedure or anything so she's really quite a liability. She gets to take classes at the Vulcan Academy, bond with Spock's parents, learn more about Vulcan culture, and make friends (with my OCs). I have a sort of comparable situation for the new main SI because like...I just really loved this.

So I actually have two more SIs! The main SI that I use now grew up traveling around the universe with her parents, and spent some of her formative years on Vulcan with Spock, where they accidentally formed a weak bond while playing. There was an accident, she was in cryostasis for a while, her parents died, by the time she meets him again he's the lead science officer on the Enterprise and she's just graduated Starfleet Academy and is joining up as his subordinate. Spock is betrothed (which I really didn't address in my super indulgent fic because that wasn't what I needed then) and also a superior officer, and he's faced with the weird realization of this sort of weak bond we have that is totally inappropriate. Long story short, it's more emotionally complex and tackles more difficult issues. Because it turns out we both fall in love. And that's difficult.

In this setting Bones and are I besties (kinda like him and Kirk!) and I date Kirk on and off. That stops once Spock and I get together of course, but eventually we become the happy space polycule 🥰

And as far as the specific situation, I was thinking she gets seriously injured and they drop her off at Vulcan where she does a semester or two teaching at the Vulcan Academy, again while bonding with Spock's parents and refreshing herself on Vulcan culture. And also trying not to kill T'Pring (the woman Spock was betrothed to who was an absolute bitch to him since it was an arranged marriage and she hated him) I guess but um ignore that. I just think it's a really great formative experience and I also want to include my lesbian Vulcan OCs again. Vulcan culture is really interesting to me! And some of it incorporates things from Judaism, which is a lesser known fact, but also true. :) Also Spock's mom is canonically Jewish so Spock is also Jewish so SPOCK AND I GET TO BE JEWISH TOGETHER. It's REALLY EXCITING TO ME OKAY???

The other SI I haven't talked about much she's the angry!SI variant. She's a security officer and also has a special ability, aka my SI shield power. But I was going to make it more Star Trek, so it comes from being exposed to something funky as a child (maybe something with dilithium crystals? idk I didn't get that far). Anyway, the shields make her an amazing person to bring on landing parties as it's not a weapon that can be disabled and no one really expects it. It's a nice ace up the sleeve. She's super in love with Spock, it's super obvious, and she acts really pissy about it all the time jsahfkjsahfkjdsa but uh you know. It's fine. She also bickers with Bones constantly over nothing, but if you ask either of them, they'd say they're great friends. They enjoy it.

angry!Star Trek SI was going to have a big culminating event where in an emergency her weirdness that results from dilithium crystals in some way would allow her to help the ship escape an emergency situation (the ship is powered by dilithium crystals) but at serious personal cost. So Spock would have to grapple with this being the logical choice but also like. With not wanting it!!!

Me: about a write a fucking thesis paper on the fallen hero series because I just finished the demo and I will scream.

I think one of the hard part of Fhr series is trying to pick the motivation for your character turning villain. I pick Revenge cuz I was hoping it would lead to. I'mm burn everyone who ever so much as breath in the farm to the ground. I like how its muddled for your character like its not super easy. The down side is it seems to always imply you wanna beat the shit out of the rangers which- I don't expect for Lady Argent shes pissing me off and she keep fucking up my plans. But i never see my character ( Cynthia Walker African American woman) hating them. Theh are in the way and she wants to mitigate the bodies she will need to step on or move to get to that.

But also I made her raged filled with a brain so. Piss her off the niceties goes away. AKA: Hollow ground not accepting my second in command. Means I'mma rob you fucking blind and kill your men.

But also I guess thats the point maybe its telling you. That you can't have your cake and eat it too. You must pick villain with no connections or you turn back to the light.

I mean- let me take the knees out from under Hollow ground. The choice will be made- but also I want her anger to be directed to the right people. She a thief to buy more tech to also sell it for info. I want her to be an informant that can and will beat you to death. Loyalty and trust means everything. Thats why its so hard to let go of Ortega as a best friend. Idk/i don't think he realizes Cythina is Virus ( villain name). Dr Mortum is the real wife here even tho she not returning any calls. Which im so glade I told her the truth before I sent my puppet to get his ass beat for me. FUCK HOLLOW GROUND! Great character makes me scream
