Having a lil Naruto renaissance right after an MXTX fixation, so here's some crossover ideas that have been birthed by this:

Yue Qingyuan could be a particularly sweet Hyuuga. I could imagine him as either a main or branch member, though I wouldn't want him to be older than Hinata if he's part of the main family. She needs that growth. And he's got such older brother energy that I actually think it'd be fun to imagine him as either a slightly older orphaned boy from a branch family, or Neji's actual older brother. His self-flagellating tendencies mean he wouldn't even feel resentment abt the caged bird seal thing, at least not on himself. He might not solve their issues, but he'd be a great shoulder to cry on in the meantime.

Shen Jiu is snooty enough to be a Hyuuga, and he'd definitely have great amounts of resentment abt the caged bird thing; he'd resolve to tear the clan to pieces in an INSTANT. Him and Neji would be such interesting reflections bc Neji resents but accepts his fate, and shen jiu spits in the face of it and resolves to burn it all down. But I also think that exact energy means he'd be an Uchiha 100%. He's so spiteful and emotionally stunted. He'd fit right in.

Or that's what I would say, but actually imagine if he were like. Related to Orochimaru in some way. Maybe yet another clone-baby? Or a brother? Idk they don't look alike but they're both so terribly spiteful, and idk serpent imagery just WORKS for Shen Jiu! Idk idk! Sue me! Honestly he could just be an apprentice, idk.

Actually, speaking of Orochimaru, he and Shang Qinghua both bring a "just won't fucking die" kinda energy to the function that would make them interesting to witness together... plus the snake and rodent symbolism... So maybe he's, like, Orochimaru's student. Obvious assignment for his family might be Nara, but he's so deeply paranoid that he'd probably not fit in very well. Uchiha and paranoia are synonymous, but consider for a moment: half Uzumaki. The half is to explain why he's not a redhead, but idk I just think he'd enjoy all those complicated seals and stuff. Nagato and Mito have shown that there's no real behavioral expectation for Uzumaki, so him being off his rocker with fear would easily just be a personal quirk. Especially if his background involves him being some kind of refugee/escapee etc like Karin and her mother.

Liu Qingge.... honestly he could go so many ways. The obvious choice, again, might be Uchiha; in which case I think he'd do well, because honestly I think he'd do well in just about any Shinobi family (who WOULDNT want such a battle hungry gremlin for a child? He's a model son!) Except for maybe the Nara. He'd make a great older cousin for Itachi to look up to, and there's certainly a lot that could be done with him as an Uchiha.

But I simply cannot get the image out of my mind of Liu Qingge as a kiri-nin going through his lil hunger games exam. The man would thrive, regardless of any clan affiliations. That or like, kumogakure, but I don't know if they have any fun battle royale exams to make it worth Liu Qingge's time. The boy needs enrichment!

Luo Binghe... where do I even begin. Again, first instinct says Uchiha; these guys really are the catch-all group for unstable dark-haired characters. It helps that Binghe's eyes do, in fact, occasionally turn red. Baby Binghe might benefit from the community of it all, but considering the incoming life-altering trauma (the massacre), he'd be better off literally anywhere else. To fit with his heavenly demon (aka celestial being) OG heritage, I think him having a relation to Kaguya would be cool. Maybe as an actual somehow-surviving Ootsutsuki, or maybe from her offshoot clan, the Kaguyas. The bone thing is kinda off-putting, but considering how heavenly demons use their blood, it could kinda make sense! Of course, the Kaguya clan was kinda... not the type Binghe would wanna be in, but I'd imagine he was orphaned or abandoned as a baby, and raised by a civilian woman.

Honestly, he could also be a Senju of some kind. Maybe he'd be related to Hashirama. It would certainly be appropriately main character of him. Any weird abilities can be handwaved because, well, Senju.

This now gives me the idea of Binghe being Tsunade's after a terrible one night stand (with who, is an age-old nationwide mystery). I don't think she'd enjoy motherhood, but I'd believe it. Idk I mean, she took Shizune in without question, even if it was as an assistant. I can imagine her being more like a wine aunt to Binghe, but I also love the idea of little baby Bingbing diligently following Tsunade around. His protagonist halo would make sure she'd never lose another game again. It would be funny if his dad was an akimichi, just because he cooks so damn good. Lol.

In the vein of protagonist energy + demon relation, maybe half-Uzumaki? I'll have to come back to that.

Finally, of course, is Shen Yuan. His raw hater energy and waifish twink vibes are a shoe-in for Hyuuga, I'd say. He's certainly NOT an Uchiha, though honestly I'd argue he doesn't seem to lean any particular way (in terms of clans) beyond, as I said, the organic homegrown hater aura he naturally exhibits. He'd be an awful Nara because he doesn't know anything other than his one (1) hyperfixation topic, which doesn't include strategy at all. He's also not lazy. But sniffing arrogantly or peering down at someone from behind his fan? Hyuuga written all over it.

Otherwise, he's either not from Konoha (thinking like, Yuki clan or something from a nameless filler ep village etc.), or he's a civilian. Or a half-failed Orochimaru experiment.

Actually wait what if he's a yamanaka. Wtf how did I forget abt them. His encyclopedic knowledge of plants might actually have a use (tho idk if he cares abt any plants other than the PIDW ones). He's so wildly oblivious and bad at reading people that being able to mind walk might actually level the playing field instead of giving him an advantage.

anyways recently ive been mostly thinking abt his family dynamic and how it intertwines with his relationships in the book. i feel like he lives in a pretty matriarchal household , purely self - indulgent but his mom is a single mother in my eyes. i also think he has an older sister whom he really looks up to / tries to emulate , leading to his close relationship with coral and pippa , two strong women who entered his life when he was incredibly vulnerable and needed support. also just him in d4 in general. who were his friends?? did he have to work?? we know he's good w a net and has basic trident skills so maybe he had to do stuff w that. did he do well in school?? what was his dynamic w his siblings?? what was his favourite subject??

kano's mom - i think she's an interesting character. she's so, so minor, and yet she is so perfectly complicated. she's the one dead counterpart to a snake that is in fact... kind of awful?

she was definitely a very troubled woman. she used to hit kano and scream and yell over the smallest stuff, like him forgetting to buy something or breaking a cup. and then she'd cry and apologize about it. all canon btw. kano says he could only ever make his mom scream or cry. i dont tend to get personal with my hcs, but my dad's an addict so... idk, ive always sort of imagined kano's mom as someone who struggles with substances. the way he describes her always reminded me a bit of my own dad as a kid so maybe that's also why i sound a little bit apologetic when i speak abt her. kano still loved her, and in the end she throws herself in the way in an attempt to save him. i think she definitely loved him too... as kano grows up and experiences another family with the tateyamas, or maybe even hears kido talk of their own bio mom, he'd definitely know his mom was probably not a good mom. but he'd still be so defensive of her, i doubt he'd ever mention her at all to avoid hearing her be judged. if they found a way to get people back from the daze, these two would have suuuuch a complicated relationship like for real...

kano says she really saved up to buy jewelry, and that her work uniform was "prim and proper". there's a book i really like that's from the pov of a little girl and she describes the neighbors she doesn't have a name for. there's one neighbor the little girl calls The Drunk who's a lady that's always screaming and crying in the stairs and another neighbor who's called The Woman In The Black Skirt, who's a lady that's always walking around in heels to go to work. at one point in the book it's revealed to the reader that the woman in the black skirt is actually also the drunk, and the little girl protagonist mentions that when she gets back from work in a pretend phonecall to avoid speaking to neighbors, she can hear the sound of all her bottles clinking in her bag. idk. i think it's something like this. because kano's wish WAS to stop neighbors from asking him questions or saying things about his mother, like it's evident to everyone she hits him, but i think it'd also be evident to everyone she's a mess. kano was an extremely responsible kid, he'd do groceries and clean his room... i think he'd always help his mom to bed when she was passed out drunk or something. also to be clear i dont wanna romanticize this shit addiction is a horribly difficult thing sooo i dont wanna be like she's eeveel or oh she's a misunderstood girlboss.... i think she is as complicated as parents come!

hibiya's parents - i think the dad is a really mean piece of shit and the mom's the martyr housewife who's always crying and looks miserable. the dad's like the typical bully dad u gotta be a strong man... like i know its for comedic effect but that shit of leaving hibiya outside with the wolves swejdnwjfi he totally just did that type of shit. so hibiya's parents are like. idk think helga's parents in hey arnold. the mom's just kind of there and the dad's a bully. but i think hibiya totally loves his mom and when he's an adult he'd encourage her to leave his dad and bring her to kashiwa with him

my hcs come more into play when i consider canon. it's canon that saeru gets a lot of moneys to Get Away With Murder. it makes sure there's absolutely nothing abt takane's disappearance, haruka's death and ayano's suicide so it doesn't get covered on the news. SO it buys the silence of sooo many authorities. i think cops and doctors and stuff. i think takane's grandma is gaslighted to hell and back like omg ur grandkid probably ran away or something.... and she'd probably end up feeling helpless but never giving up hope takane's alive. likeee she lost her husband and her kid abandoned THEIR kid and now that kid apparently ran away??? SHE'S SO LONELY. but i dont think she ever ever buys the idea takane ran away and she learns to use a computer and joins random fb groups that talk about unsolved cases and conspiracies. she like even starts believing in aliens LMAOOO takane left a perfectly normal stern nanny and comes back to a tinfoil hat crazy lady

Idk if u watch horror bcs u like it or u just like a good scare or two but imagine showing them a movie like maybe the nun 2 or fnaf or coraline or ANY HORROR MOVIES. Imagine if the people (scholars, maybe some theatrics enjoyers?) are horrified watching it "THE CREATOR WATCHES THIS?!" "Yeah i do-" They'd either get nightmares or became really paranoid cause horror movie end credits sometimes scares me like 'based on-' no. I think they'd be paranoid because it says based on real life or something. THE SILVER CASE

-it feels cliche to say the first game was my favorite but uhhh haha. knowing suda, The Silver Case probably didn't fully accomplish what it set out to do but to me, it's so self-contained and demonstrates such ownership of a style that mostly came out of necessity that i can't not admire it, and i'm also so fond of my playthrough of it which was so fresh and curious, compared to the other two games which were fun but I was thinking too much abt how it connects to TSC

--also just the way i played this game is so special, i was very committed to the darker aesthetic to the point where I only played past like 10pm for a while, which is funny cuz the opening of the game is straight up paranormal but by the 2nd chapter transmitter loses that edge until debatably lifecut. tokio is also haunted and paranormally but by that point i just started playing normally. it sorta reminds me of paranormasight which starts out so spooky and the curses are very present but a few hours in it sorta reverts to being a pretty normal feeling but still very good detective mystery. at one point a character does an escape room ala zero escape and its funny. but TSC doesn't stray from its initial vibe as much as paranormasight at all.

-i also played the parallel stories of TSC separate from each other rather than alternating, which made placebo such a slog but i almost feel like I appreciated both stories more that way, even though i would have loved to experience how placebo compliments transmitter

--despite not clicking with placebo at first, tokio is like one of my favorite characters this year hes such a fucking Guy. and you experience him so intimately in placebo in a way i can't even describe but is effective by the end.

---theres a bizarre and esoteric mental link in my brain between tokio, ange from umineko and fucking flynn moore from the furry visual novel Echo because of them being like surprise deurotagonists (sp?) that get fucked up from having to search for the truth about the past and how theyre all chained by it. do you think they would put happy colors in my padded cell or would it just be all white.

-I also feel like I came out of TSC a lot clearer than I did FSR or 25W, I'm sure I missed several details at first but the shelter kids stuff and kamui as more of a role and a criminal influence than as a person wasn't that hard to wrap my head around even though I thought the silver eye stuff was so whatever. i kind of wonder if part of the reason i clicked with it faster was because I'm such an mgs2head, and the whole kamui thing is sorta like what the solid snake simulation appears to be at first

-also the mackerel phones video about Kusabi is so good and feels like a must watch for how well researched it is and how accurately it nails the feeling and message of transmitter.

-TSC also uses film window a lot better than 25W and it might be worth researching how the latter being a phone game affects things but i just got off that game

-also would kinda love a translated version of the PSX version someday just to feel how different it is. idk if certain ppl hate the official translation so much maybe they should do it themselves ooooh

-i havent read 4.5 and i meant to do so before 25W to have that context about sumio and sakura and i kindaaa didnt so lol i have to do that eventually.

FLOWER, SUN AND RAIN

-"flower, sun and rain" is like a speech tick to me in the way of like, rupaul on the weakest link immediately defaulting to chaka khan when he doesnt know the answer to a question

-i wish i felt flower, sun and rain the way I felt TSC. i had a decent time with it and even had a good sense of humor about the more obviously tedious parts and the OST, and I get how mundane it's supposed to be, what it's saying about living in peace and the lie of paradise, but it didn't click with me as much. maybe a pitfall was being so attached to TSC when i played, i was probably looking for something i shouldn't have instead of just enjoying the game for what it was altho i didn't hate it or anything.

--ideally this also gets a translation on its original console cuz I like some parts of the PS2 soundtrack and id love to experience all the art assets and music in PS2 quality.

---sorta tangent. i love the opening tracks for all of these games but Anata no Tameni might be my favorite, beyond just being amazing its so dramatic and unlike the rest of the series and it really stands out. the ds opening in comparison might actually be my least favorite because of that lol

-i think that the mondo/kodai revelation is so funny just because it's an idea you'd either keep in the back of your mind or just wave off because of how dumb it seemed but regardless it's constantly staring you in the face. assuming you even played TSC before this

--sumio was never super proper or anything, i don't think, but his personality here compared to TSC is so funny, he can spend 20 years with bottled up rage and fake his way into an incompetent police force without slipping thaaat much but here he has enough small inconveniences to hit a kid over it. kind of an interesting play on like the salient thing about personality and the self being buried and it feels like an early version of like a shiroyabu situation. not the last time i will compare sumio and shiro.

--i also think its funny that the model of sumio mondo looks pretty similar to kodai compared to the key art of mondo and we should explore that one day

-i wanted more out of toriko kusabi, she was a fun diversion and i didn't expect her to be a tokioesque second protag or anything but idk. she was fun when she went against sundance and at the end and her being like a subliminal kinda suggestion to sumio's buried memories of her father i think is cool. in a less meta sense it's also cute that shes working for her dad i wonder if tetsu has to like try not to step on christine everytime he comes home from the bathhouse at like 2am. actually i dont remember what their family situation even is

-speaking of kusabi i think him like being the guardian/ferryman for sumio's journey is so so beautiful and true and i like that he gets to pull him back from the depths the way sumio sorta inadvertently did in parade/kamuidrome.

--its also really funny to me kusabi just disguises as a chubby white guy. it was probably a fatsuit but i feel like kusabi could be like 50lb away from being a bear anyways. its like the grocery store deli scene in bobs burgers.

---i also appreciated parade from transmitter way more playing this and thinking about sumio. when i played parade the first time i loved connecting the dots on everything but then it kinda got buried by kamuidrome and lifecut. and now im such a shooter for sumio kodai. look at me talking about the previous game wooo.

-i think the character designs in this are funny for how little of them you can actually see. everyone loves yayoi and yayoi is such a serve but my other fav is ken. all the punk details are completely lost in the actual game. the models also super undersell stephen carbione's look, cuz in-game he sorta looks like tokio but then you see his key art and its like yea he would look like that.

-tokio was in this game

-i think edo macallister should be a bellhop in every video game with a hotel ever. im going to the other side of the country soon and if the guy behind the desk at the hotel isn't edo i will be severely disappointed.

-i love that its hyenas. i think there should be like tokio morishima as an anthro hyena and he still has his domesticated turtle or at least like hyena sundance or yotaro or something. i think ppl would be quick to anthropomorphize tokio as a literal turtle guy.

-the eleven children stuff is whatever, i do like that theres a bunch of sumios running around but idc for all the other implications and like step and remy and koshimizu and whoever else. is sumio mondo still deaf and mostly relying on lip reading? cuz i dont think that gets brought up again. i mean he wakes up to a phone ringing every morning but i guess those are the clones. if the hearing is referenced early in fsr and i just missed it then that would be very cool. maybe thats why the voices for the characters are abstract and illegible. maybe flower sun and rain is the best game ever.

THE 25TH WARD

-what if we were all protagonists.

-i dont think this game uses film window as well as TSC but i do like the art and how much of it there is in correctness and matchmaker, also the different styles.

-i love yotaro osato sadly hes so funny and fluffy. hes osato in my notes and in normal convo but i want to call him yotaro affectionately. i do love tsuki too hes such a sufferer.

--i think theyre a teeeeny bit like like p4 adachi and dojima if they were both murderous.

-i feel bad for the lady that gets murked immediately in correctness i had a funny voice for her in my head

-shiro and kuro god bless them are funny and parallel sumio and tetsu to me. both sumio and shiro grapple with their criminal power, although sumio goes against the hc unit while shiro attempts to but finds himself back with them at the end, and while kusabi over time softens quite a bit and learns from sumio in a more overt way than kuro being literally the "japanese dirty harry" and not having as much of an arc, they both are compelled enough by their partner to rein them back in. just the surface level so i dont have to write a whole essay in a stream of consciousness type of post

--what even happens to them bc as far as i can tell, shiro just continues to be a tool of the state and kuro maybe? shoots her superior and then the 25th ward blows up.. with them on it? like okay at least tsuki got outta there.

--on the shiroverse timeline. theres conflicting sources on if his immortality is a kamui thing or a sumio mondo thing or something else and thats funny. the sources all being fan wikis and tvtropes because fuck this game that zero people played and negative people have documented.

-i need to like hold myself back from analysing meru as trans because its so clearly done for shock value but it somehow aged really hilariously now with how prevalent trans egirls are. liek theres a strange almost unearned truth to how meru exists online versus irl.

--kind of all of the gay/trans mentions in these games are like this although kusabi you can at least take in sorta good faith?

-i need to think abt what i thought abt tokio here. its increasingly funny how online he is for being a normal dude in the late 90's early 2000s.

--his portrait in yumi is kind of a hear me out but all the cgs of older tokio look crazy. tokio in general looks a mess in this game and its funny. look at him try to be masc

-i mentioned mgs2 above and the 05 chapters of these games are so reminiscent of the s3 plan and the patriots with the frontier etc using the city to collect data and the protags having to figure out where they fit into it. during TSC, i was paying a lot of attention to the story as it related to the advent of technology. it felt really relevant to kamuidrome and all of placebo but mostly ended up as background/context to the story. it was used a lot more here and i really liked it. chat logs are a great framing device in all the routes since they add so much flavor and emphasize the loneliness of life in the 25th ward (semi-related: in both TSC and 25W, the environments are devoid of people in film window, and i think this works way better for 25W than it did for TSC). placebo is yet again a good example of this with tokio only really interfacing with the world through his computer most of the time

--in terms of twists, i might actually like "the city is just a means of data collection ready to be wiped at any moment/it resembles a computer more than an actual city and life there is so impermanent that its hard to tell how real it all is" better than the end point of tsc which was "they were trying to mass process children to find a means of immortality" which i was so whatever on even though the game is trying to be crazy and also say something about like life and aging in society, but in tsc i like "they were mass grooming perfect civilians and inadvertently making them susceptible to crime" as a conclusion a bit more. but i mean 25W also poses so many more questions than it does give answers so.

---despite everything i think it was an interesting idea for suda and masahiro yuki and masahi ooka to create the 25th ward almost as a sandbox to explore more of the ideas of the first game like how the internet affects human connection, communication, sharing of information, and how people are affected by criminal power/kamui. it was a cool idea in the original but i love actually getting to see shiroyabu steadily become more unhinged (death filing), kurumizawas pervasiveness, tsuki and osato coming to grips with their own (esp osato's immense) criminal power, etc. in spite of all of the loose ends and craziness, sometimes you really need a space to work out your ideas and express yourself and i commend grasshopper for doing that so i could have played this on a nokia in 2005. in japan

overall these were video games. very excited to forget everything about them when i fixate on something else. tsc might actually be one of my fav things i played this year. would love more analysis of the 25th ward, theres some essays/interpretations floating around and ghenryperez will get to his video on it eventually. maybe i need to be the change i wish to see but also boo putting effort into writing and analysis sux.

i started sudas works with nmh, then 2 before stopping until i played killer7 a year ago and really liked its style and sense of humor. i think this happens to a lot of people, and then a year after that i started tsc. i wasnt originally that interested in nmh tsa but now that i know theres hello 25th ward characters in it i might have to try. and then nmh3 after that. and then i also wanna play twilight syndrome/moonlight syndrome when that gets a translation because of lunatics. and i also got killer is dead when it was on sale for like 2 bucks. we can enter the greater sudaverse.. together

while writing for the sparkling series i actually had no idea what mqf's personality would be. most fics i read hes usually pretty mild mannered, quite neutral abt everything and really just wants to do his job. i was going to go for that too but somehow i wrote him to become a gremlin who is oftentimes too tired to do gremlin things but when he does have the energy, it will be everyone's problem 🤣

qi qingqi was also a mystery to me. i only planned on making her hot tempered, decisive, and kind of a tsundere but she ended up having a shizun complex instead 😭😭 idk man i guess we can never run from shizun complexes in pidw

lqg i think i also struggled with. whenever i wrote him i just kept in mind that hes just a huge simp with big muscles that sqq likes to cling to lmfao. he tends to overwork his egg brain in the dragonjiu verse but it does do him some good hehe

now im stuck on yqy. i have not done him justice, i know lol, i just made him a generic punching bag whos a pathetic lump of a man for sqq and just gives him moon eyes instead of actually saying anything useful. im trying to figure out whether i should go down the classic yandere yqy route or just continue making him a pathetic lump of a man who lives and breathes for sqq's acknowledgement. when i listened to 'twit' by hwasa i feel like the lyrics really fit sqq's feelings towards yqy, i could even imagine an entire animatic in my head about them to this song XD

i wish i wrote more about sqq's hoarding moments though. that was one of the main reasons i started writing the dragonjiu verse, yet there was only one or two actually depicted moments of it. it was supposed to be an entire like weekly ritual with his fluffy disciples and lqg would have to earn his spot in the ritual lol. and i just realized that sqq never gave his gift to lqg and mqf yet oops 🫣😔

ok so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as an overview with both i can go more in detail abt specific aspects swappers are no longer ""all male because it's gender neutral" cause that's a load of crap but i also don't wanna deal with hmm how would a snake and a potoo swap halves SO instead they swap powers.

fire kraken and freeze blade are the main two cause i like their designs the most but doom stone and trap shadow are also pretty relevant they're all from the cloudbreak isles and specifically protected the cloudbreak isles, meaning they were not under eon. smthn i'm toying around with is maybe the chieftess' predecessor being their portal master? or the chieftess herself?? yaugh anyway their ability to swap powers didn't come right when they got sent to earth, instead maybe they all came in contact w/ a stone or smthn idk i'm working it out. what determines what attributed will be swapped is a per individual thing, freeze blade gives others ice but if he swaps w/ rattle shake he won't necessarily lose his ice sorta thing. it means there's no toy aspect but uhhhhhhh i didn't ever use the swap mechanic LOL i felt it kinda screwed up play styles at times. swappers also have slight redone movesets but i haven't given it thought cause my FIFTY EIGHT FANLANDERS need them more, fire kraken def gets combos tho cause she should have them

bosses get a big overhaul cause i do not like sf bosses. so here's each one evil glumshanks > evil glumshanks + the unnamed tech guardian (she/they). their whole shtick is that [pending] is lazy and oversees the dig site, but she claims she's doing sooo muuuch wooooork so kaos sends glumshanks in with them. except she orders him around and since he's evilised (rename tba) he's more aggressive with them. their boss fight has an on rails phase cause the grind rails got underused mesmeralda > design is now specifically more arachnid, she's also one of the only non evilised bosses. i like her fight so it stays the same, idk maybe kaos' mom hired her to decorate her castle, seems like she'd be good at that fire viper > the fire viper kaos yoinked up to ensure his operations in the barrens went well. it eats petrified darkness and is a weird hot gummy worm thing with skeletal armour to protect itself. also it's before motleyville now, in iron jaw gulch (which is towards the end of the game) evilised whiskers > stays the same baron von shellshock > um i haven't thought how to make his fight less of a pushover yet lawl EVILISED TERRASQUID LET'S GOOOO :D so the terrasquid is referred to as 'bossearth' as an internal name in the prototype so she gets evilised and u gotta fight her. i know the frosthound has the concept in the strata book but i like the terrasquid. also third last boss kaos' mom > kalamity. she's a life element sorceress cause that's funny, i like the gauntlet aspect from the game but idk i need to do more thinking super evil kaos > petrified darkness kaos who's essentially just purple kaos but for most of the fight he's got cool crystal armour and i'm still trying to figure stuff out I HATE SUPER EVIL KAOS D: bosses still have the solely 3 phase rule unique to sf but they're (hypothetically) a bit more varied and are less of a 'ok do the thing then do the other thing then attack during this window!!' cause i thought it made them rlly boring

thinkin about FSM = Overlord theory.

like. if it were actually put into the show.... it probably wouldnt be good. like its not that exciting of a twist, and it would probably (definitely) fuck up a bunch of lore things (i don't have the braincells to get into specifics and someone else who knows more abt the lore could probably explain better than i can, but I just know it would completely tear the lore apart lmao). And also I'm sure the writing team would find a way to make the idea even more boring in practice than it already is in theory.

BUT also I DO love thinking about how fucked up it would be. Because although it would be a super generic twist, there are things to think about. And by "things to think about" I mean the fact that it was the Overlord (who in this scenario is secretly the FSM) who corrupted the Great Devourer.

The way I see it, if the overlord = fsm, this could mean two different things. Option 1 is that the FSM corrupted the devourer in pursuit of some other goal (like "oh wow I created this whole world of creation and light I better add a fucked up snake so that there's ~~balance~~ or whatever") and then uh oh!! Uh Oh!!! Your first born son accidentally got bitten by the fucked up snake you corrupted and now he's evil!!! oopsie!!! And then things just devolve from there.

Option 2 is that Garmadon's corruption was done *on purpose* by ***his own father*** somehow which, y'know, fucked up if true but also why not just corrupt him directly instead doing this weird thing with the snake?? Maybe the Overlord is too big-brained for me to comprehend or maybe this idea is just dumb idk. But even if the idea is dumb, I'm still partial to it if only for the drama (as you will see)

And then regardless of which option you choose (but especially if you choose Option 2), things from Lloyd's perspective are still totally fucked. Because he's supposed to be the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master, basically the Second Coming of the FSM. I think Lloyd puts a lot of his pride and self worth into his whole green ninja destiny protector-of-ninjago thing, but in this scenario, the guy he's supposedly emulating is the same guy who ruined his life and also his dad's life and also everyone else's life. It’s not just “oh wow the guy we all thought was soooo cool and good was actually evil the whole time teehee” it’s the fact that the person Lloyd’s been living up to all his life completely goes against everything he believes in n stuff.

But even more importantly there’s the whole thing with his dad. Because pre-season 8 Garmadon might’ve been evil, he might’ve been a warlord bent on destruction, but he would never try to hurt Lloyd. Seasons 1-2 Garm wanted to protect Lloyd with his life, even as evil flowed through his veins. But then (if you choose option 2) the FSM decides to just? Corrupt his own child and ruin his life forever?? For fun I guess?? Just because??? You bet your ass Lloyd would be fucking livid if this theory was actually true. This isn’t your average everyday daddy issues, this is advanced daddy issues. Grandpa issues. Daddy issues². are you SEEING the vision im having here

I'm such a big sims 4 nerd so i love yapping about townie headcanon.

What are yours about the bff household?

I'm a bit lost about where to go with them but here my ideas :

-They're all childhood friends

-Went to different universities but then move in together after graduation

-Travis is working for a startup with some friends from uni

-Summer is trainning to be a big tennis player (very Tashi from challengers of her)

-I think astronaut is really random for liberty but i don't what to do for her. In my game she took a break from art school and works as a barista

-I'm debating if they should date each other now that we can or remain besties

I havent touched the BFFs household at all and know nothing abt them other then they were in mysims bc that was the only sim game i was exposed to when i was younger (totally forgot abt that).

I picture Liberty to love nature and animals, especially reptiles. She talks about snakes a lot in mysims!!! it would be cool if she was like a bug collector and stuff of that nature! maybe a herbalist?? taxidermy?? i see her doing odd jobs for sure and selling stuff on plopsy!!

for me, I want to go based off the Mysims versions of them!! idk if summer and travis are similar to their mysim versions or not but either way, i want to incorporate stuff from mysims to ts4 when it comes to their household
