This is so so stupid but I got very happy when I read in your strawpage you are from 2003 too, I've lurking around seeing your art ever since DOL caught my eye and you're one of my favourite artists so having that bit in common is cool! I also love your DOL designs, especially Kylar's and Whitney's but the fave gotta be your PC she's so pretty! Seeing your fanarts keeps tempting me into posting dol art of my own so if I ever draw dol I'll draw our wet cat (Kylar) together >:)

Also if you haven't played Fields of Mistria or Homicipher I definitely recommend them! The first one is similar to Stardew Valley in the sense you're a farmer, you can decorate your house and romance any of the bachelors/bachelorettes but this one is more fantasy-like and the artstyle reminds me of 80s anime and Sailor Moon. The second came out recently and I haven't played it yet but I saw the trailer and some fanarts; you wake up in a terrifying unknown world where you have to survive and the romance options are very creepy men, one of the appeals of this one is trying to learn the world's language, it looks fun

1. She loves hiking, digital art, graffiti, and making music! She has a tablet in her drawstring bag that she often draws/animates on and it has one of those beat making apps that she uses ALL the time. Ah, and she loves Origami (she learned from the foot clan)! She tends to make little Paper cranes and write little messages in them. Said cranes will be EVERYWHERE. On Donnie’s tech telling him to hydrate or something, on the leftover pizza box claiming the last piece, in Leo’s room notifying him that she stole his left overs, etc. (and sometimes theyre just for fun and don’t have messages written in them)

2. (Love this question SO MUCH) when she is standing for awhile she’ll start raising herself up on her tippy toes then back down (kind of like a little bounce that doesn’t leave the ground) and when she’s sitting she often finds herself practicing wrist/hand exercises (half the time she won’t even realize she’s doing it). Oh and when she’s sitting and listening to music she’ll tap her fingers as if she were making the beat in one of her apps (imagine clicking arrow keys on a computer to the beat of a song that’s basically what she does [heheh I used to this all the time])

3. Hmmm I’m not sure yet? Probably a mix of darks and pastels. Also not sure on the favorite color yet! I’ll make a r colored ref hopefully son tho :D

4. At the moment I’m kind of think she wouldn’t have one… like mainly she uses hand to hand combat if she’s in a fight? Idk (oh or maybe she specializes in origami ninja stars!)

Mikey:

ART. They both have a passion for art, and while Mikey is more of a traditional artist, the both of them end up drawing together all the time. I imagine since both of them are the shorties of the family they climb up on each others shoulders to graffiti places in the sewer they can’t reach ^-^ (also they’re both the youngest siblings, they want independence, and they don’t like being babied <- all of these things come about for Peni after realizes she’s their sister and they start treating her like the youngest)

Leo:

They bonded over cooking …and by that, I mean Leo’s lack of skills and Peni’s bizarre recipes! Peni’s favorite food EVER is gummy worms, so naturally, once she heard of a Panini she switched out the meats with tons of gummy worms and cooked it. Leo walked in on this moment of genius and was HORRIFIED. He ragged on her about what a disgrace of food that was and she would fire back talking about how Leo can’t even make a SANDWICH without something burning. It sort of became a running joke with the two of them that resulted in Leo nicknaming her “Nini” (oh and in case your wondering, Peni LOVED the gummy worm panini, and Leo tried it and was surprised it wasn’t that bad, but he would NEVER admit that)

Donnie:

They bonded over tech and music! Peni didn’t know a whole lot about it but she was the second most tech involved person in the family so it worked out great any way. It’s a similar dynamic of smarts and crafts except Peni has more technical knowledge than Mikey. Peni will occasionally hang around the lab and check in on what Donnie’s working on, give some ideas, have an awesome idea for a new project, etc. and she also is Donnie’s go to person when he needs blue prints drawn! Oh! New idea! Perhaps Donnie builds her a piece of Holo-tech (like his little holographic screens) that serves as a literal 3D art program! Of course, she also uses it to make even BETTER blueprints for Donnie. And her and Donnie both really like electronic music, and Donnie likes listening to the beats that Peni makes :D

Bonus idea! I think it would take a while for Peni to even have a chance to connect with Donnie. After the invasion, Donnie would spend a lot of time in the med bay, but he mainly stayed in his lab after that. And after everything that happened, Donnie was just not open to talking to this complete stranger that broke into his home :/

Raph:

I think during the invasion Raph would be the one Peni talks to the most (since Raph was the least injured), so they sort of just naturally became close. Peni has someeee medical knowledge but not enough to help with the more serious injuries of the others; she would let Casey jr. take care of those major injuries while she took care of the more minor things. Raph was extremely worried about his brothers and was completely lost in the medical field so Peni would also help explain how they were being treated and what was wrong (I imagine Casey would be pretty blunt abt it which would not help Raph haha). Oh! PLUSHIES. As we all know Raph LOVES plushies (I’ve seen some stuff that’s canon abt it but I definitely headcanon a corner of hid room is filled to the BRIM with them), but lil ol Peni, having lived on the streets her whole life, never owned any (tragic, I know). When Peni first saw Raph’s mounta8n if plushies she grabbed one shoved it in Raph’s face and demanded to know its name IMMEDIATELY. From that day on she loved plushies and started gathering them for her own room (though she never got nearly as many as Raph)!

The blue line represents that he can still see the above and can see where he's going

Its basically fast travel yk bc the space time there is a lot faster

Also he can drag others with him into the "dimension" but he cant keep them there for long bc they cant breathe in there, only he can

time speeds up unusually down there so for the people who got dragged with him they see a faint image of the world downstairs but then they're at their location, its like teleportation and they just run out of breath a little

Oh yeah i chose fast travel instead of actual teleportation bc thats just cooler and makes more sense than just popping in and out of existence without any explanation

And i chose fast travel cuz the oc's a cheetah beastmen and cheetah's are known for being speeeeedddyyyyyy

The red is the floor and the blue is the part of the floor that would let him fall through like theres nothing there even tho he can see still that the floor's there

I've been seeing a bunch of Hera designs recently, so here's a sketch dump of mine :]

Most of these are from over a year ago-bcuz I originally made this design for a dnd Campaign where I played her !

Ik I have more sketches but id have to go find em cuz these r just the images I've got on my phone rn... till then, Design Details under the cut ♡

I was SUPER particular abt her design, I was super proud of that drawing of her [the 1st one] when I made it. I still am when it comes to drawing her features, though I'm not as much a fan of that original drawing anymore.

Anyways, I based her face shape & structure on that of a cow, in fact I refferenced a very specific cow breed- id have to go find my sketchbook where I wrote it down to be sure, but I think it was the Agathonisi? There were reasons, though I don't quite recall them rn.

Anyways, The reason I chose to base her features on cattle in general is because their associations to her, and that she has the epithet Boṓpis - which I adore as a word and also means "cow-eyed". I swear she's also been described as "cow-faced", but I can't refind it...

[Also, I can't remember if I made her eyebrows that shape in the same vein or if I decided I just Liked Them cuz I think it was at least a mix lol]

But! Although she's mostly cow-like in features, I did include peacock elements. Her little hair strands at her cheeks, for one. Her body type is also a merging of a peacock & a cattle- I think her leg shape is also mixed? You can see it clearly in the 7th image. Joints wise its closer to cattle, but I think there's peacock influence in there as well.

Sloping shoulders was also an intentional choice, related to both the animal anatomical inspiration and small details to help her look more maternal.

Her hair is generally brown, coppery? but glints this gold color in the light- you can see how I tried to shade it in the digital. I think it's partially because at the time, I was used to picturing Hera as OSP draws her- all Golden, w/ golden hair. But she's mostly depicted w/ dark hair, [plus this is a more realistic design] so.. boom. Golden glint. I think that's also part of the reason I gave her a yellower undertone?? Plus Ichor being gold so yknow. In a similar vein I also recal partially lamenting limiting her skin to something paler in accordance w/ her "white-armed" epithet. [I imposed this on myself. You can tell no one else was going this deep.]

Abyways, The way her hair swirls is meant to partially imitate a peacocks tail feathers!

Oh, her eyes- dark & cow-like in shape! But also, I designed them to look a lil swirly/scribbly, pupil-less- "if her eyes were any lighter you could see the madness swirling inside them" I think was the phrase I liked using.

Now she didn't wear her usual clothes in the campaign as it was set modern era- but there was thought in there too! [Refferencing the 1st drawing again]

Pomegranate pin bcuz associations, she has lil cattle horn detailings on her diadem/polos [I intentionally designed it to be a mix between the two style-wise, idk if it gets across tho lol]-

She has elements of ancient Persian clothing, notably the cloth pinned w/ the pomegranate & I think the sash? [I'll find the real names l8r]- that's cuz apparently the peacock was also called the Persian Bird in ancient Greece, and I think that led me to finding some stuff abt her having some origins or associations w/ Persia? Id have to refind it all, but yeah. And lastly ofc, the most obvious, big peacock train!♡

Origin of my username: it's pinned at the top of my page ;) This page was born from me struggling with being an autistic adult* & (re)learning skills I "should" already know and be able to do, like driving. When I forced myself to learn at the 'normal' age, I got into two accidents and pulled over before turning 18 (aka less than a full year) 😀 I still haven't tried the highway circa age 24, but from the ages of 18-23 I wasn't driving at all and I became homebound after I graduated college, then my mother decided to disclose to me the family history of agoraphobia after 23 years of 'damn why don't u just do things'. Lena and mistral look pretty much identical except i gave her gloves and switched her boots to chaps bc i think her boots are stupid. I also kept in the shows spirit and made lena the only one in appropriate ranch attire

I took hugos hoodie off bc with it on hes literally wearing the exact same outfit as lena just in blue. I also cropped his shirt and gave him some gay little bracelets as a treat. I made reglisse more like a skogsmullle type horse bc it fits her i think

Angelo looks identical to the show bc i could not improve on his design if i tried, but i made his hair less agonizing to draw. Sila is as previously mention way bigger tho and looks more like a work horse or that big horse samanta got that one episode. Either way its becos sila just feels like a big horse at heart <3

I made anaïs even shorter, switched her blue short and white tank to the same shirt, switched her jean skirt to a pair of shorts, and changed the tights to leg warmers. I made josefin smaller as well and she was supposed to be an arab but idk i havent seen one in a while so idk how accurate it is (and idrc). I was gonna make her tail do the arab thing but i forgor

1. Art programs you have but don’t use?

As of rn I cannot draw on my laptop/tablet so technically paint tool SAI and photoshop(idk what version). But I guess I hadn’t used photoshop for /years/ back before my drawing hiatus. Sorry but SAI is so much nicer to look at and to use, for me personally.

2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left,right, or forward?

I flip flop my canvas a ton to a) look at it for wonkiness and b) to get specific lines in a direction that feels good, but the actual act of drawing I typically like to have them looking left cause most the the lines flow from top right to bottom left which is nicer to do since I use my right hand to draw even tho I am ambidextrous.

3. What ideas come from when you were little?

This question confuses me on what it’s actually asking soooo? When I was like 12 I had to write a story for school so I did a story about a plane crash in which the survivor came face to face to a rat/bat/cat/dog creature thing? I’ve always wanted to redraw the creature, idk if I have the original drawing I did and I don’t feel up to digging to see if I kept it during all my moves.

4. Fave character/subject that’s a bitch to draw?

My favorite animal color patterns aka brindle, merle ,roan, spots/stripes. So time consuming. In terms of shape, human faces for sure.

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself?

Before hiatus, probably 90% /shared/. Currently, probably 75% /posted/cause I can’t post the porn to tumblr lmaoooo but I have shared them with like half a dozen friends.

6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously?

I’m sure there’s a ton but if it’s subconsciously then how would I consciously know?🤔 ok serious answer, probably every single 2D animated movie or show I’ve ever seen, and all the various artists I follow. I mean, there’s parts of my style I can pinpoint you to what it’s inspired by.

7. A medium of art you don’t work in but appreciate?

I’ve never /seriously/ tried oil paint, acrylic paint, or pastels but that shit always looks so good. Also watercolor even though i have tried and enjoyed using watercolors but I am far far faaarrr from being proficient in them. Non drawing wise, I fucking love dioramas, especially those that are then filled in(?) with acrylic(?). I watch a lot of those videos on YouTube.

8. What’s an old project idea you’ve lost interest in?

Most of my old animal ocs I had in the same universe in my mind and had a comic planned that I never got around to. I still love and wanna revisit those ocs. But also my dragon age ocs who I’ve SERIOUSLY BEEN CONSIDERING drawing in @soaps-hoe-141 universe 👀

9. What are your file name conventions?

Before hiatus/ on my laptop, subject or character and whatever was happening in the pic. Now using procreate on my iPad? I don’t think I’ve named a single one lol.

10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw?

Nothing, no clothes, nude, nakedness please and thank you. lol but I guess I do sorta enjoy figuring out clothing in general, folds and shit, getting that practice in. Like how it hangs and creases in poses since I’m not used to drawing it.

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing?

I don’t usually listen to /only/ music while drawing, I much prefer having a favorite movie playing in the background and/or a show I enjoy rewatching/am actively watching. I also watch a lot of gamer YouTubers I put on as background noise/short watch breaks that their voice is just soothing to me even if I’m not /watching/.

12. Easiest part of the body to draw?

I’m not sure… maybe boobs/pecs for humanoids. General body shape for animals?

13. A creator you admire but whose work isn’t your thing?

Honestly can’t think of a single one. I mean, plenty of artists do work(or with a medium) that I can’t or don’t want to do/use personally but I read the question of “isn’t your thing” as “subject you don’t enjoy”. If that’s correct, then idk what to tell you. I don’t follow or remember people who majority does things I can’t enjoy on some level.

14. Any fave motifs?

Quite a lot of religious imagery I guess ex. Circles around a persons head. Less serious answer is drawing characters in meme formats lol

15. Where do you draw?

Please don’t tell any physical therapists I live like this… on my back on my couch with my head on the arm rest while holding my iPad propped up on my chest like 8 inches away from my face lmao

16. Something you are good at but don’t really have fun doing?

Idk???? I do shit for my own enjoyment so I’m not sure? Maybe perhaps backgrounds? Like I could do something decent if i wanted to but I’m not into it so I usually just don’t?

17. Do you eat or drink while drawing?

I take breaks… but while actively drawing? I often drink aka let the horny demons out while I enjoy whiskey lol.

Broken broken? Next to fucking none? some charcoal sticks but otherwise…. None… I majority do digital art so really nothing to break there lol

19. Fave inanimate objects to draw?

Idk? I like doing life charcoal drawings? Of whatever, but particularly statues if that counts? I usually have living beings as my subjects.

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy?

Ok, I hate this question, cause we are all good at different things. Maybe it’s just most of those I follow have different strengths than me???? But I guess if I had to pick, recreating from life(or picture) is a lot easier for me than some others(like making it life like/very accurate).

Nope, wanted to and have tried before but I tend to NOT do something if I feel pressured to do it.

Again I feel like this is a weird question or maybe it’s just my understanding of it but I can feel inspiration from all sort of artist shit even if it’s something I’ll never do(ex making a crochet animal or dioramas). I guess I can feel inspired to create from other creators even if it’s not direct inspiration/subject/medium.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

Underrated as in no one has seen aside from a few people irl would be my colored pencil pieces I did during afternoon naps when I worked at a daycare a few years ago.

they mostly got trapped in many Humans traps, in need of food - Eclipse is actually never tried to hurt them, as the giant Squid see thems as both entretaiment and later on, friends..(but also, he is still a very hungry creature - anything can go wrong with him) Monty- of course - doesnt trust these creatures, who could kill him, as in case ya'll take a look, they arent just cute looking octopuses~ but eventually, as he loves animals, and keep a beach clean, they trust each other,. so most trouble comes in every day surviving! if they love each other.. is something I been trying to work on, of course, I want Monty to love them, and them to love their hero -but how could I make it work? how can I make Monty be with them without making him be a diver?- im workin on it, but in the start, yes, they love each other

and last! Eclipse thinks these two , are trully stupid to love a human, someone who , in his big eyes, destroy their home every single day.. but cant do much, he's cursed to live in the deep sea - aside from that, he doesnt care ! thanks you so much for your ask!! <3

1. how would you describe your art style? uhhhhhhhh, maybe "safe" is the word rn. whenever I think of my art style, what comes to mind is just how little I've been pushing things with it. I wanna change that ;D

2. what's your favorite thing about your style? I realize I like to use semi-realistic proportions, its cool how comfortable I've gotten with drawing faces and bodies

3. what's your least favorite thing about your style? It's so static man. same thing I said for the first question, I don't think anything really looks bad, but it just is lacking in creativity in comparison to the older art that should be looking worse than what I do now. I prefer my older stuff ;D (looking at you inktobertale2021.. where did it all go wrong)

4. favorite thing to draw? regular ol people. human characters are def more in my comfort zone, which explains why I keep hitting skeletons with the humanization ray (also I prefer to draw feminine characters)

5. least favorite thing to draw? I can't even say I rlly dislike it cuz of how rarely I even do it, but I am procrastinating so hard on learning backgrounds..

6. warm colors or cool colors? cool colors are my fav, but i find it easier to work with warm ones (I used to put a cool overlay over all my warm toned drawings hgdhfg)

8. what's the most fun and least fun parts about your process? most fun is flat color and rendering. (though I rarely do the latter anymore) and for least fun, tbh a lot of the sketching part tends to be difficult for me, sometimes its cool tho

15. if digital, what program do you use? procreate, the layouts on other drawing programs scare me
