spent a while earlier digging through some phantom hourglass model/texture files and i am extremely happy to report that linebeck’s mouth textures are slightly lopsided

#it’s really cute #phantom hourglass #linebeck #salty talks #ive never noticed it in game but ofc these textures are higher quality than what you see in game #but it was REALLY good to see that most of his mouth textures were lopsided. his resting :3 is slightly lopsided and its kinda adorable #like two of them (one on his model and one with the bellumbeck model) are reflected(?) but the rest are lopsided from what i can tell #ah now that ive seen it in a vacuum i can spot it on the higher quality model;#i think i never noticed bc his normal idle post has him standing a little lopsided normally #so it makes it easier to think that his mouth texture is reflected #idk if reflected is the right term here. like parallel just mirrored at the middle or smth idk #whatever im really happy abt this discovery its really cute #there was also the texture that i thiiiiiink? was half of a mouth texture but both of the :3 mouths are lopsided #fucking colon-three resting expression. catboy

#i have mixed feelings on what they said about sonic and silver's relationship personally ..#like to be clear ive never really shipped them anyway so i dont have that sort of bias going on here #and im not against the idea of them being like brothers either i think that has the potential to be really cute #it just feels kinda random for them to say that in an official thing? even in something thats not really canon like twitter takeovers #because i cant think of a time in the games or comics where their relationship has really come off that way.#feels like they just made that up on the spot #(which its fine if they wanna make up random little character traits on the spot but . maybe dont approach relationships that way)#and i say this as someone who does interpret a few sets of characters who are technically just friends as being like sibilngs #but whatever. its not that big a deal To Me but i imagine a lot of sonilver fans are upset rn. which is fair .#but im less unhappy with the fact that its sonic and silver specifically #and more just generally dont like the idea official media assigning random familial relationships that didnt exist before #and dont really have a real basis for them or feel like a natural development of the characters' existing dynamic #idk just doesnt feel like a good idea to me

thinking about tipsy trent/tedependent again (after seeing some of my old posts here and here) and like, i've got two different fics where they hook-up while drunk but i'm Still Thinking About It. specifically i am thinking about trent, tipsy and instantly thrilled to see ted (trent, aloof and cold and standoffish journalist, upon seeing ted lasso while even slightly tipsy: [immediately turning into the human embodiment of ":D!!!!"] TED!!!) and being just drunk enough to start flirting. terribly. luckily for him ted finds it to be incredibly endearing (and if part of him is secretly, guiltily a little flattered that trent is just so pleased to see him, let alone that trent wants him so earnestly--well that's fine) and. god. should they be having irresponsible tipsy sex while trent's still a journalist? absolutely not. is it even likely in canon? no. do i care? also no, BAM, fate aligns just right where trent's drunk enough to actually flirt with ted, ted's drunk enough to flirt back, and this somehow ends up with one of them in the other's bed and there's sloppy making out which turns into clumsy giggly drunk sex which turns into sleepy cuddling which turns into waking up the next morning like Oh Fuck.

im personally very bad at the whole “you should have many different characters with very different personalities that showcase different types of people”-thing because i create my characters solely for myself. and whether or not those characters have differing personalities or very similar ones is not in my hands because i just make what i like and use what i get attached to

#unfortunately i continuously draw cute characters the most so most of my ocs are very cute/happy #I say unfortunately because while it doesnt make me upset that most of my characters are like that it kinda. makes me a bit bothered?#agitated? with myself. like i just feel a bit stuck in this part of art #i love cute stuff but I just as equally. if not even more enjoy weird and disturbing and a bunch of other types of media #i enjoy kiddish things but i also love just like. other things too. but i feel like because most of my stuff is cute i *have* to only make #and enjoy cute stuff. idk. it sounds a bit dumb to me now that i write it down #its just i love characters that are weird or eccentric or not the best/downright bad people but i just cant bring myself to come up with #too many ideas for them that let me use them constantly #“cute and cuddly” is one of the many things i enjoy but its not “ME” or the only thing i enjoy ever. yknow?#i want to be able to speak to people without my art being the sole thing they think of me by or use to gauge how i act. i guess #i dont even know if any of this is intelligible but its whatever. just trying to get my thoughts out idk
