cressida's storyline was genuinely shameful tbhhh it's like they started rewriting it in the first half of the season then completely forgot about the changes they'd made to make it fit the book plot and it just ends up making everyone else look bad😐 every character in the second half got a "penelope did nothing wrong" lobotomy so we ended up with eloise completely ignoring cressida being sold off to an horrible man (when she made every effort to support her in the first half of the season) and for some reason resenting her for pretending to be lady whistledown? Then they somehow frame her ignoring colin's offensively bad pleas as it being her turning away from redemption when all she's trying to do is escape being trapped in the country with her likely abusive aunt... and it ends with her meeting her horrible fate and it still being framed as tragic only to immediately juxtapose it with the bridgerton family winning the idgaf war while gleefully seeing off francesca and her future dead husband. The bridgertons were the villains of the season frfr

I don’t think y’all understand how clearly I have a potential novel mapped out in my head based off things I’ve already written like. It’s the overarching plot of lost gods (depressed guy forms a relationship with an older artist after two failed relationships) meets the dying love story of moth work (two guys are doomed for a lifetime of each other) simultaneously threaded with a dreamlike whirlwind romance (body back & changing states) ultimately leading us to a narrator who feels more like an art exhibit than a man

Two of my favourite moments in Funkin' Adventures. This was in the Demonic Formalities arc.

This was in the Friday & Funkin arc which was a stupid D&D clusterfuck of a campaign that actually caused the order of arcs after it to change. I love rolling dice to determine fate. hehehe

I really wish ppl didn't throw OG Girlfriend's and Boyfriend's random silliness aside, or pretend shit like ADHD didn't exist for them. Another reason why I started writing my own shit. For your own AUs it's fine since they aren't the same characters, but for the OGs? Making OG GF a bitch just so you can have pico x bf? Turning OG BF into some weakass uwu bitch instead of keeping him as a smug, confident bastard? Nah, man. Fuck all that.

it is beyond frustrating to see the loz series so dedicated to going in such a new & innovative direction in regards to gameplay, yet still so stagnant in regards to the story. like, sorry to be that person but the fact that it's 2023 & you STILL can't play as zelda in any of the main games is mind-boggling to me. even in totk, a major part of the story still revolves around rescuing- sorry, finding her. she has such a deep meaningful story (which is a step in the right direction, for sure!), but the player can only experience it secondhand as link. she is allowed to be a companion character, but only for the first 5 minutes of the 100+ hours you can spend in the game, as a little teaser for the OTHER companions you get much later (who pretty much all suck except tulin & sort of yunobo, but that's another post). we see her sacrifice, but we only get small snippets of the experiences that led up to that sacrifice. she is put through so much trauma & has to make this impossible choice, & we don't even get to grieve her properly or tell anyone what became of her. & by the end of the game, it doesn't matter because she's back to her regular old self, same as she was before she swallowed the stone, with no lasting physical or mental effects whatsoever, because why should her sacrifice actually have any meaning outside of how it served link? & before anyone argues with me for saying that, yes obviously it did have meaning outside of how it served link. but the way she is restored in the most ridiculous deus ex machina i've ever seen in a zelda game cheapens it severely. everything magically gets fixed by rauru & sonia, & just like link's arm, zelda is left no worse for wear, because of course we can't possibly have our main characters permanently changed by any of these horrific events they've lived through, oh no nothing like that.

link saves the day & gets rewarded with the beautiful princess.

this IS the basic story of almost every single zelda game & you can split hairs all you want, but it's the same with totk as well & i'm just so beyond sick of it. i think zelda (the character AND the series as a whole) deserves so much better than that.

Knk beach episode plot we need and deserve:

They go to the beach for some stupid reason don’t really think about it they are just there

Mai’s van is just cartoonishly filled with beach stuff (umbrella, towels, at least 7 floats, beach chairs). As part of the joke they filled it with so much stuff Tobi almost dies squished by them. For some reason they also put him in the trunk but Baku wasn’t he had a seat in the back seat

Basically Tobi gets bullied a lot for my amusement. Also he doesn’t want to be there at all

Speaking of Tobi he’s wearing the same outfit as Yusuke in the beach trip but instead of blue swimming trunks and a white hoodie the trunks are bright orange and the hoodie is black. He’s dying bc it’s too hot but he refuses to take it off

Only Mai and Rei know how to swim while Monika and Tobi use the floats

Also Tobi doesn’t like water in this one he’s like a rabid dog he will bite you if you even dare to think about it (Rei is bitten but actually manages to make him go in the water)

Yuu and Nagi are there too actually but the joke is they are all trying to beat Yuu senseless while absolutely no one questions why Nagi is there. They are besties in this scenario but like they aren’t does that make sense? It does in my head

Ryou is just there too he’s looking from afar witnessing all the shenanigans but he’s not a part of it he sees some shit going on and decides that’s not his problem he just leaves he won’t put himself in a situation

They eat popsicles. The joke here is that when asked what the strange flavor of the popsicle is the answer is just “orange”

We can’t forget the watermelon bit. Tobi hits Yuu instead of the watermelon but that’s on purpose

Also let throw in some beach volleyball bc yes idk how that will go but it’ll be a mess for sure

At some point and don’t ask me why or how they are in a boat. There’s a storm coming (again don’t ask me why or how it just happens) and fucking Tobi falls into the water and is drowning like the loser he is so ofc everyone is throwing stuff he can use to float but everything is actually heavy and sinks. “Throw things that actually float!” He yells. “Here grab this rope!” Says Mai throwing a rope he can grab onto. “Here grab this other rope!” Rei throws the end of the same rope thinking it was another one. “ITS THE SAME ROPE YOU IDIOT” he screams and drown and fucking dies. After the storms ends everyone is crying, Rei laments “I will never forget his last words ‘it’s the same rope you idiot’ 😭”

Thats it’s that’s how it ends

Jk they go to shore and Tobi is there like a wet kitty with the bat (or stick) they used for the watermelon waiting for them so he can kill them. Cut to the persona 4 chasing scene you know the one

You may have noticed Yukito has not been mentioned throughout the story that’s bc I forgot about him just like how Eve and Newo do every chapter. Sorry Yukito ily

because ok so

assuming the phoenix weapons were put into the bunker immediately after the great war (which logically makes sense, why would you let your super-powerful-genetically-engineered-marvels-of-science bioweapons just roam around before putting them in the bunker), there isn't really any way for her to directly have phoenix blood in her (and she cant really be a phoenix weapon herself because. yknow i think thatd be immediately obvious LMAO)

however

it is still possible that she has it through the arcs or harpies because they were the original attempts at making the phoenix units so they have adam's DNA too, and since they were the prototypes that didnt quite work theyre just. roaming around in the forest where theoretically anyone could find them

so theyre the most plausible way for gale to have gotten adam's DNA, which the phoenix units also have so it makes sense that that's why she has similar qualities as them without directly having their blood

while going through the forgotten forest, all the arcs and harpies you ever see are immediately extremely aggressive. like, they see you and immediately start attacking, regardless of whether youve provoked them. so any attempt at screwing an arc or harpy found in the forest would probably not have worked out very well

however, there's also the hidden village

all the arcs and harpies in there are far less aggressive and theyre willing to talk and trade with you. so if the adam DNA came through an arc or harpy, it probably came through one in there

and it makes more sense that it came from someone in the hidden village than a phoenix weapon, because

think about it

the only way for a phoenix weapon to have screwed with a human is either, a) they were told to do that by whoever was holding the key for their collar, or b) they didnt have a collar

i'd assume the collars were put on immediately after they were created, because if youre going to put a collar on why would you wait, and it doesn't make sense for them to have gotten it off at a later time, because once your mind control device is on why would you take it off. it also doesn't really make sense for one to have never been given a collar in the first place, because. that kinda just seems like something really important that you wouldnt forget yknow

and it doesnt make sense either that they were told to do that through the collar. because. idk making your bioweapon have sex doesnt really seem like itd be too high on the priority list to me
