all the people who were like "there's no bad blood between niall and liam! look! liam was backstage!"

yeah, you know why he was? because he made it a point to post all over his social media that he was going to niall's concert, was outside of niall's hotel taking photos with his fans (this was also after niall's manager said that when on tour the hotel is like his home and to please give him space), was acting like a damn fool at the concert, again, and again taking photos with niall's fans. he was manipulation the situation for his own gain

so, of course liam was backstage at niall's show because he made it so clear that he would be there and if he wasn't allowed backstage, he could then come on social media and talk shit about niall and niall would be the one to get bad press, not liam. liam would be seen as a supportive friend and niall would've been seen as an asshole if he didn't have liam backstage.

he's being manipulative and he knows what he's doing. ever since the band ended liam has had to use the fame of the other boys to be talked about at all, this is nothing different.

do i know all the details? of course not, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out what liam's doing, but he does it because he knows he can get away with it because his ~fans~ (he has those apparently?) will defend him no matter what.

(also doing ALL OF THIS at his show after he's made fun of niall's claustrophobia and said that niall has REPEATEDLY asked him to stop talking about him publicly is...a choice)

Cale and Choi Han made Valo accounts at the same time and matched usernames.

Cale started out playing Apex with the username KRSu (trio'd with LSuH and CJSu). He found and helped Choi Han when leaving a PC Bang. Next time they met, Cale proposed that they make Valorant accounts and learn the game together - and it turns out Choi Han is cracked?? After some time, Cale contracts Choi Han to House Henituse - his condition for joining is that Cale joins the team too, so here they both are now.

Raon (GreatMightyMiru), On (Fogkit) and Hong (Ivykit) play junior league gaming but, just like their guardian/father figure, they start as an Apex trio. Yes, On and Hong gave themselves Warrior Cats names. Lily went traditional sports and is now a national youth fencer. Basen wants to be an esports team manager.

Valorant teams/organisations: House Henituse, House Breck, House Crossman (competing in the Western Continent bracket), you get the gist of it

Everyone mentioned is contracted to Henituse, though Alberu and Rosalyn have two contracts (Crossman and Breck respectively)

I don't watch The Conners, nor have I watched Roseanne since the early 2000's, but:

I find it endlessly amusing that despite Darlene saying "Just stop right there, Ponyboy. You and the rest of your Outsiders can go rumble someplace else" in a season 5 episode of Roseanne, she still ended up with a Ponyboy in The Conners.

It was that time of the year when the weather was finally changing. The transition of seasons from summer to fall made the feeling in the air become different - enough for Wanda to notice and it made her happy. The leaves on trees were a crisp yellow and orange, and Halloween decorations around the neighborhood were slowly starting to roll around. Because it was one of her favorite times of the year, the witch had already collected quite a large amount of decorations; however, she would never pass up the opportunity to add more. This time was different though because Tommy was with her. She wanted his input on what would look scary and really elevate everything to another level. Plus, it would be a nice way to bond even if this wasn’t technically her child. Pushing around the shopping cart with indoor lights in tow, she stops in front of the vast quantity of fake skeletons. After looking intently at the various ones, green hues curiously glance at the young mutant next to her. ❝ Hmm… which ones do you like better? ❞ she wonders. ❝ There are so many. ❞

he works overnight and comes home early in the morning, around 3 or 4 am or so, and you greet him and give him a kissy and ask how it all went. and even though it's still dark outside and he's been working for twelve hours—he's still coming off patrol, right ? so he's still got some energy left, and he eats something and takes a shower and winds down as you fall back to sleep.

and it's not until much later in the day that he wakes up, early afternoon, and you're kind of tiptoeing around so that he can get his much-needed rest. you slip into the closet of your bedroom for something and you think you're gonna get in and out without a sound, but his hearing is so attuned to just about anything and everything at this point.

so rough and raspy, he grunts out, "what're y'lookin' for?" and you whip around real fast and he's just—

half sitting up in bed, bare back leaning against the headboard. an arm behind his head, so that his bicep is tense and round and stone-solid. stretched like that, his obliques are more prominent, taut and rippling up the side of his ribcage. he must have gotten hot while passed out, as he usually does, because the comforter is all askew; one of his legs is bent, the fine hair a dark gold in the waning day; the other is hanging off the bed, lightly swinging as he watches you, and the blanket has come down enough that you can see the bulge of his thigh muscles beneath his stupid tiny black boxer briefs.

and he's just so. man. in every single way.

(his hair is flat on one side, too, and his eyes are still a little puffy from sleep—but you think that adds to it, all in all)

Random thought that could could absolutely be nothing, an over-analyzation of sorts even, but I have always found it interesting that in the Devlin house episode Charles gets sucked into the loop starting from the point he snaps at Edwin about him "Not being the all-knowing expert on all things." It's especially interesting to me because after he does so, Edwin tells Charles that he's "...Not acting like himself at all."

In theory, Charles could have just reappeared when Mr. Devlin turns the corner or when he approaches Mr. Devlin here:

because if the point of repetition here is to show us that the abuse Charles suffered at the hands of his own father is what causes him to get trapped in the loop, either of those moments would have been sufficient in supporting that idea. The dialogue shared beforehand between him and Edwin has little to do with the point at hand...unless...

Charles feeling pain about his own father isn't the whole sum of why he gets trapped in the loop; his fear that he's just LIKE his father, that he's not a good person, that he's "Cruel for the shits," and capable of hurting the people he loves (and thus undeserving of their love) is also what traps him in the loop, and that's why his "loop" starts with him snapping at Edwin.

Even though we as viewers can empathize with and understand why Charles snaps at Edwin given the circumstances, it's very unlikely that Charles extends that same grace to himself. I would argue that we see the multi-faceted layers of his trauma explored in various ways from this moment on. Charles himself even later admits that all he feels is anger despite the fact that he wants to be "a good guy." Charles has yet to understand that it's possible to be good and feel anger, that anger in and of itself is not bad, and that feeling strong negative emotions like grief or anger does not make a person dangerous or abusive like his father was...nor does it guarantee that he would use his anger to harm others. So, with that in mind, of course Charles' loop would start with him lashing out at Edwin, as opposed to it just starting with him lashing out at Brandon Devlin; it's not just about feeling powerless to stop the abuse, it's about feeling like you play a role in it. It's about the deep-rooted fear that maybe you actually deserved the abuse you suffered because you are not good, and just by being related to an abuser you are damned to be just like them, or worse. Charles worries about who he truly is, deep down, and that maybe Edwin is wrong when he says that Charles isn't acting like himself: maybe the darkest parts that he works so hard to bury are actually who he truly is, and his ability to throw careless, harmful, biting words at someone he loves deeper than anyone else may be a reflection of this. After all, his father loved his mother, he loved Charles, and look what he did to them... how he hurt them beyond repair. What if he is the same?

OR: the trauma Charles deals with isn't only the violence his father enacted on him (shown through what Brandon Devlin does to his family), but it's also the violence he feels capable of enacting himself (shown through his ability to throw harsh words toward Edwin who Charles openly claims is the "most important person in the world" to him).

What furthered this idea even more for me (and added a bit of salt to the wound frankly) was Crystal and Edwin's reactions to Charles being pulled into the loop. Out of shock, confusion, and frustration Crystal immediately turns to Edwin for answers but for a moment he is just frantic and uncharacteristically frazzled, only able to say, "Charles was right, I don't know everything..." and OUCH, right? But it emphasizes that 1) what Charles said to Edwin was quite hurtful, 2) that it did have an (unintentional) impact on Edwin, and 3) that Charles himself very well might have realized it was hurtful as soon as it left his mouth thus, again, why it would make sense that his loop began there.

It takes a strong emotional reaction to be pulled into a loop; the possibly that this moment was written to work on two levels of Charles' inner turmoil is quite clever (and extremely heartbreaking).

Again, it could absolutely be nothing... but it's worth pondering!!

but seriously if you are at all blogging about the i/p conflict you NEED to read that standing together article from that post i just reblogged. please. please please please please please. these are the people who are actually doing something about freeing palestine and have been for years. And here's the thing:

IF YOU WANT PEACE IN ISRAEL, IN PALESTINE, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE IT'S GOING TO COME FROM.

Because yeah. The way this site is spreading around uncritical posts is a huge issue (and a reason I haven't been around since October). Standing Together is doing a hell of a lot more than blogging about it. They're on the ground putting in the work. Nine days before the October 7 attack, they were in Tel Aviv publicly protesting about the systematic oppression of Arabs (not just Palestinians) in Israel.

"The global left has to be synced with what we need." Trust me, the right is. Boy HOWDY is the right synced. I have gotten more support about my Judaism from the far right than the left and it's??? kinda fucked up??? Someone who worked for Pat Robertson should not feel safer than someone dedicated to activism, but here we are. I can feel how easy it would be to be radicalized towards the right, and I'm actively fighting against it. Now imagine that multiplied by millions of people, plenty of whom don't have the same desire to do so, or feel like they don't have the luxury of safety to do so.

Seeing Hamas being portrayed as sympathetic and talked about like they had a right to commit all of the atrocities that they have is making me lose my MIND. They're a group run by corrupt billionaires who actively started this conflict with the intent of silencing the Palestinian people who have been protesting their tyranny. They have been siphoning money from Palestinians for years and this entire attack is them deliberately throwing Palestinians into the path of slaughter to distract from that fact, the same way that Netanyahu absolutely took advantage of the threat and tragedy to try and get himself off the hook for his own corruption.

Also check out the google doc linked in the article. It's not just a good way to learn how to communicate, but a very good resource for finding out if something you're sharing is worthwhile. In fact, it does a really god job of breaking down why I've felt so uncomfortable about a bunch of the posts on my dash. Some excerpts:
