Reaction Post Season 8 Episode 1
Here we go. - It looks like we're getting a middle-of-the-action start, which means it will have to flash back to pick up how this happened. - Honestly, that bee encounter was cool and scary. - Gerrard really is just an ass. The first few scenes are the clips we saw as trailers. Gerrard puts them in a lineup, and Athena learns that she has to escort her dead fiancée's killer back to LA. He's getting out of jail for evidence against his cellmate. - My 118 group gets a private moment to talk about their Gerrard situation. It's not that he is worse with Buck. He is going after Buck more because he can tell he is getting to him. Everyone else is not giving him the satisfaction. He knows that he's under Buck's skin and since he's a Bully, he continues to target him. - Ok. The original bee accident was terrifying. I truly felt anxiety. I wasn't expecting that. - OMG. These bees. Jesus Christ. - Smart Buck with a suggestion for calming the bees. I love you. - Buck does coin the phrase bee-nado. As cheesy as the concept sounded, a huge swarm of anything that flies does move in a pattern so it feels plausible to me. I'm sure there will be someone to argue. Bite me haters. This ep has been awesome so far. - House hunting Bathena before she leaves to do the prisoner transfer. There is talk about Emmett and his killer. There is deffo a parallel with Bobby, but that hasn't been acknowledged yet. - LOL News report. I thought it was another commercial at first, but it's a news report on the bees. - Good Henren and Madney scene. Very good scene. - Tommy warning for those who are susceptible. Tripple date? Is cone a metaphor for something? It's Chris' birthday. No change in three months in Chris' anger. I'm blaming Eddie's Mom. They need to be helping him work through his feelings and toward reconciliation. You can't convince me that is happening. Cries. - My heart is breaking. That was both fun and distressing. - Next bee emergency coming in… Bees are attracted to perfume. - I hate Gerrard. - LOL Poor Eddie. He's the fastest runner. Bahahahhahahhahaha This shouldn't be funny, but OMG. Run baby! Run! Buck probably thinks you're doing great. - The title of the episode dropped in dialogue. I know that was on someone's Bingo card. lol - Athena is such a bada$$. Love her. - Nash and Hotshots Captain convo. LOL. I could barely understand him, but oh this is going to be funny. I want Bobby back at the 118, but I want a lot more scenes of him on set too. Bahahahaha - I hate Gerrard. Broody little pout is one of Buck's best features. I would kiss that pout. It's coming. It's coming. Wow. That did not go as I expected. Wow. I'll leave that open and leave some mystery. - I think we all knew this next part was happening. The small plane hit the plane Athena was on. - Preview - there is a hole in the plane, and ATHENA is flying the plane. I can go ahead and mark that off my bingo card. LOL
Updated Bingo card.

Could you expand on the similarities/parallels between Lalo and Gus? (or link me to a post if you’ve already talked about it) I think it’s fascinating & I’d love to read more
OKAY I'm finally here - every time I've sat down to write it I've been sidetracked
First, let's talk about how they're different. They are polar opposites - orderly/chaotic, serious/playful, cold/hot, cartel outsider/cartel insider, born to poverty/born to wealth. I've kind of convinced myself that Lalo was designed specifically to be Gus's foil.
But like all good foils, they also have a lot in common. Such as:
They're all business. Neither of these men have anything remotely resembling a personal life. I've seen articles on several random pop culture websites that incorrectly say that Gus had Lalo's family killed at his home, but those people were not his family! He' paid them to be there! Because real, honest attachments would be a distraction - and a liability, as Gus learned from personal experience. (And who knows - maybe Lalo learned that lesson, too.) The only thing they have going on in their lives is the Game. When all you do is play a game, you tend to get pretty good at it. Which leads me to #2
They're on the same level. The cartel is not a brain trust. Gus and Lalo are usually the smartest people involved in whatever their latest scheme is, so when they encounter each other, there's a weird moment of recognition - oh hey, this guy is a serious opponent
And since they're both experts in the game they're playing, their trains of thought generally end up at the same destination. I'm sure the way they arrive at their conclusions is very different, which is something I think deeply annoys both of them - like, it's a very specific kind of annoying to have someone you despise come up with the same answer but in the wrong way. It's why they're able to anticipate and interpret each other's actions based only off vibes
They're ruthless. They both have zero qualms about doing whatever it takes to achieve their ends, with seeming little regret. We see Mike, Jesse, and Walt struggle with all the violence and the death, but Gus and Lalo never show regret. They know that sometimes you have to sacrifice pawns to win games, and so that's what they do
They're loners. Neither of them have a single real friend. If you buy my headcanon that Lalo is also gay, it kind of makes sense why he's also kept people at a distance. Neither of them can risk the kind of exposure being truly intimate with someone entails...and honestly, they're both just kind of weird and don't fit in, the way exceptional people don't sometimes.
They don't care much about material things. Neither of them seem particularly interested in a lavish lifestyle, outside of having a nice house and getting the occasional outrageously expensive bottle of alcohol. They don't wear expensive clothes. They don't drive especially flashy cars (compare Lalo's car with Nacho's). They don't throw parties to show off their wealth. Jimmy uses his money to the fullest extent - because what's the point of having it otherwise? But Lalo and Gus don't seem to care about that. Money is just one of your scores when you're playing to win
They're loyal - Gus was fiercely loyal to Max, and Lalo is fiercely loyal to Hector. I think this is related to their loner tendencies - it's rare to find anyone who truly understands them. It's like they take every last scrap of their humanity and invest it in one single person. This is how Lalo figures out that Gus is up to something - he knows that there's no way in hell Gus would ever save Hector's life unless he had an ulterior motive, so he started to look around for other things that didn't make any sense

BELPHEGOR
"Belphie, it's time for dinner!" Lucifer sent you to find him, and when he wasn't napping in your bed, you knew where to check next.
He mumbles something into his pillow and you can't make out the words, but you know he's listening. "It's the third night this week you've skipped eating dinner with the family. Come on, you know how Lucifer is."
Belphie turns his head towards you enough so that you can hear him more clearly. "Oh, fuck Lucifer." He rolls over and starts snoring again, and you stomp back down the attic stairs in frustration.
When you join the others for dinner, you jab your fork into your food with more force than necessary. You're halfway done your meal when Belphie suddenly plops down into the empty chair beside yours. He reaches for your free hand and leans against your shoulder.
"Belphie?" you ask him curiously, but he says nothing. He doesn't eat anything either. He tries to cuddle even closer to you instead, and he shoots glares at his older brother sitting at the head of the table.
It takes you longer to eat than normal with one of your hands firmly tucked in Belphie's grip. As soon as you finish your dinner, he pulls you away from the table and back up to the attic. He curls around you for the rest of the night like he's afraid you might disappear if he doesn't.
He doesn't skip any more meals for the rest of the week.
BEELZEBUB
You have one hand stretched out in front of you, pressed firmly against Beel's chest. The other is holding a container of sweets behind your back.
"No, you can't have these," you remind Beel for the hundredth time. "They're for tomorrow, remember?"
But Beel's only half-paying attention to you. His focus is latched onto the container in your hand, and if he wasn't worried about hurting you by accident, he'd simply take it from you.
"It's not fair," his low voice rumbles thickly, and there's drool leaking from the corner of his mouth now. "I'm starving!"
You shake your head and look around for something else to tempt Beel with instead. "Lucifer bought these for Diavolo, and we're taking them to the tea party tomorrow."
"Fuck Lucifer," Beel growls, and it's the loudest and angriest he's sounded yet. You both look startled by the outburst; your hand slips away from holding him back, and his jaw drops open when he realizes what he said to you.
You hold the container tightly against your chest. He could easily take it from you now, but he surprises you when he doesn't. His eyes are fixed solely on your face, as if the thing he wanted moments ago is completely irrelevant. He holds his arms out like he's trying to block you from leaving the kitchen.
"I'm sorry," he says quietly. "I'll look for something else to eat, but please, don't go."
ASMODEUS
"Are you sure you should post that?" you ask, glancing over Asmo's shoulder as he types another inflammatory reply on Devilgram.
"Of course!" he exclaims. "You read their comment. ‘Pretentious and gaudy?’ MY clothing line?! No, I won’t stand for it.”
He’s typing quickly and you’re not exactly sure what his Devildom insult is supposed to mean, but you imagine it’s not very nice by the way Asmo cackles when he hits Send.
“I don’t want to be that person,” you start nervously while Asmo scrolls through the other comments on his post, “but maybe you should ignore them? All this back and forth is drawing a lot of negative attention to your Devilgram feed.”
Asmo pauses what he's doing and looks at you suspiciously. “Who told you that?”
You bite your lip and look away. “Lucifer asked me to talk to you about it.” When Asmo rolls his eyes, you throw your hands up. “Well, it’s true, isn’t it? Aren’t you worried this little spat might impact your new launch?”
Asmo jabs his D.D.D. in your direction. “He’s only worried about drama if it involves someone close to Diavolo.” He runs his hand through his hair and looks down at his phone screen again. “Fuck him. If Lucifer cares that much, he can come talk to me himself.”
“Ugh!” You stand up with a huff and head towards the door. You tried to talk to him and it’s obvious he’s not going to listen. You hope Lucifer believes you later when you tell him you tried to get Asmo to see reason.
When you reach for the door handle, you’re surprised when Asmo suddenly blocks your way. Sometimes you forget how fast demons can move.
“I didn’t mean that,” he says seriously. His housecoat falls open slightly when he leans towards you, and his expression isn't angry but dead-serious.
“Didn’t mean what?” you ask confusedly.
“Fucking my brother. Don’t do it.” His hands grasp your shoulders and you can’t help but laugh.
“I wasn’t going to? I was going to go back to my room while you carry on with your…” you trail off, gesturing to his abandoned D.D.D. on the bed, “…little feud.”
He steers you back towards his bed. “If you want to relax, then I insist you stay here instead. My room is much more comfortable than yours. Besides, I just thought of something you can help me with.”
You sit on the edge of the bed and smile up at him. “Like apologizing to that poor demon lord you keep picking fights with?”
Asmo winks at you with a hint of a smirk, and he tugs at the belt holding his housecoat closed. “Maybe we can do that after.”
SATAN
Satan walks around the narrow pathways in his room, avoiding the fragile stacks of books that litter his floor. You sit on his bed and watch him anxiously, giving him the patience and time he needs to tell you what's bothering him. You're careful to give him space when he's in one of these moods; it was one of the stipulations you agreed to before he let you inside earlier.
"So, you were in the garden earlier with some of the stray cats, and Lucifer did...what, exactly?" You've been trying to piece together what happened between Satan and his brother earlier, but it's hard to make sense of his grumbled and disjointed complaints.
"He scared them away," Satan bites out angrily. "I wasn't even feeding them treats. I sprinkled some catnip for them. What's the problem with that?"
You know Lucifer complains about the stray cats that flock to the House of Lamentation if Satan feeds them when he's not supposed to. You know that Lucifer isn't a fan of cats in general. But, you also know that Lucifer wouldn't purposefully hurt any of the cats that make their way into the garden, and he's not usually this petty.
"Is it possible he thought you were feeding them? I don't think he would make such a big fuss if he knew you were only giving them catnip." Satan glances at you and you can tell he's not convinced by your explanation. "What if I go with you to talk to him?"
"Fuck him," Satan snarls as he keeps pacing in front of you, fists clenching open and closed at his sides.
Sigh. Maybe you can talk to Lucifer on your own. Things have been peaceful between them lately, and this is such a silly thing for them to be at odds over.
Satan watches you stand up from his bed with a defeated sigh. When you try to shuffle past him, he wraps his arms around you from behind and pulls you against his chest. There's a wave of warm energy around you, and you feel the familiar feathers of his true form against your back.
"You're not going to leave me to see him, are you?" his rough voice grates against your neck. "You should stay here."
"Tomorrow we're going to sort this out together," you tell him when you meet his gaze over your shoulder.
His hands on your hips tighten. "Fine. But tonight, you're mine."
LEVIATHAN
"I think there's something wrong with your Akuzon account."
Levi asked you to pre-order the Dogi Maji anniversary bundle on his tablet, but the Submit Order button is greyed out every time you try to purchase it for him.
"Huh?" Levi spins around at his desk. He was doing some dungeons with his guild and you've been waiting for him to finish so you could watch anime together.
You tap the screen a few more times and shrug. "I don't know, it won't let me order anything."
Levi opens the Akuzon site on his second monitor and he sputters when he realizes what the problem is. "Lucifer put parental controls on the account again! Why would he do that?"
Of course. You knew Lucifer was upset at Levi for what happened earlier this week, and somehow his threat of punishment completely slipped your mind. "Well, you did summon Lotan on the RAD campus again..." you offer hesitantly.
"That wasn't my fault!" Levi argues loudly. He wilts a bit under your skeptical stare. "Okay, it wasn't completely my fault. Mammon took my rare Ruri-chan capsule figurine and wouldn't give it back."
You rub the back of your neck. You want to be sympathetic, you really do, but you can't necessarily blame Lucifer for his reaction either - an entire floor of the building was unusable due to the flooding.
"You know how Lucifer is, he'll change it back in a few days and we can order the game then."
"But what if it sells out before then?!" he shouts in frustration. "Fuck Lucifer!"
Levi rarely raises his voice like this to you, and he deflates immediately after his little outburst. "Wait–wait–wait!" he stammers quickly, launching himself out of his computer chair and into the empty seat beside you on the sofa. He holds your hands in his and squeezes so tightly that you wince. "I didn't mean that," he says imploringly, and his eyes dart around your face like he's nervous you don't believe him.
You mistakenly assume he's trying to apologize for getting so angry, and you pull him into a hug. "I know," and he nods against your shoulder. "What if I go to Purgatory Hall and order the game using Solomon's account instead?"
Levi sniffles and practically drags you into his lap. "Maybe later," he mumbles against your chest, the game temporarily shoved aside so he can keep you to himself instead. "What do you want to watch first?"
MAMMON
You flick on the light switch in Mammon's room and glare at him in annoyance. You warned him last night not to stay too late at the casino, and here he is, sleeping well past his alarm. At some point he chucked his D.D.D. across the room and promptly went back to sleep.
Great, now you're both going to be late, but for some reason, Lucifer seems to think herding Mammon to class is your responsibility. Lover's perks, you guess sarcastically as you stomp over to where the Avatar of Greed is snoring under a pile of blankets. One of his feet is dangling over the edge of the bed, and if you had more time, maybe slow, torturous tickles would teach him a lesson. For now, you grab the edge of his blankets and rip them off him in one smooth motion.
His eyes are still closed while his hands search blindly for the blankets that are on the floor by your feet. He's only in his boxers so the sudden gust of cool air against his skin makes him shudder. You feel a bit of petty satisfaction as you kick the blankets away for good measure.
"'m tired, goin' back to sleep, babe," he mumbles sleepily.
Well, at least he knows it's you, even if he is half-asleep.
"We're going to be so late for class, and Lucifer's going to kill me. Or you. Or both of us!" You wonder why Lucifer would send you to wake up Mammon, when his own threats of dangling him from the ceiling would probably be more effective. You guess waking Mammon up is meant to be your punishment for choosing to be with him of all demons in the first place.
Mammon groans and rolls over so you can't see him, but you can tell he's half-buried in his pillow when he grumbles, "Fuck 'em."
You throw up your hands and spin on your heel. "Fine, be that way," you snap. Your mood's already sour, and Lucifer's pestering and Mammon being himself isn't helping.
You should have enough time to grab something to eat and make it to class on time if you leave now. What you don't expect is for Mammon to not only get out of bed, but to somehow make it to the doorway before you do.
Damn, he's fast.
He's panting heavily and his eyes are clear now, his razor-sharp focus trained on you. You bump into his bare chest because you don't expect him to block your path. You open your mouth to ask what he's doing, but he leans forward and gives you a sloppy kiss instead. There's something almost desperate in the way his hands cradle your jaw and he drags his lips away from your mouth and dusts your cheeks and brow with feathery-soft kisses too.
"'m sorry," he mumbles, pulling you against him in a tight hug, "Wait for me while I get ready, yeah? Just, don’t–don’t leave. I’ll make it up to ya later, promise.”
LUCIFER
Lucifer pauses outside your bedroom door when he realizes you're speaking to someone on the phone. His brothers are all studying in their rooms - or they should be, same as you. He wonders who could possibly be so interesting that you're ignoring your studies to talk to them instead.
He assumes it's Solomon or Simeon, and he can't decide which of those two options is worse. Not that he cares, of course.
Even through the door, he can hear you clearly. He feels the slightest sense of guilt when he recognizes the tired, sad tone in your voice. Some of his brothers failed the last set of exams, and perhaps he was too strict with you considering your own scores were satisfactory - excellent even, in some classes. He knows that you've been ignoring your extracurriculars and hobbies to focus on studying so you don't disappoint him like his siblings do.
He catches the tail-end of your conversation and decides it's definitely Solomon on the other line if you're being invited to human world outings.
"...yeah, I heard that movie is in theatres now too. I think it looks good, but I'm too busy with–look, maybe once exams are over we can go see it, okay? I think Satan might like to see it too...uh huh...alright, you too. G'night."
Silence follows, and before Lucifer can knock on your door, he hears you sigh and mutter quietly, "Ugh, these stupid exams. Fuck Lucifer."
Well, there's a thought, isn't it? He was going to offer to take you to Madam Scream's to pick up some of those cupcakes you like. He considers it for only a split second and decides he likes your idea even more. His lips curl into a feral smirk, and he knocks once before letting himself inside.
"Huh? Oh, hi, Lucifer. I'm just going to..." but your voice tapers off. Whatever you were going to say dies in your throat when he leans against your door and slides the lock into place.
"I missed you," he murmurs, a surprisingly honest (and to you, completely random) confession that causes your cheeks to darken slightly. You swallow thickly and stare when he brings his hand to his mouth and pulls his glove off with his fucking teeth. "I think you deserve a little reward for all your hard work, hm?"

Zoro x GN Reader - Broken bones, mended hearts
Got another fic for ya'll! I know I've been posting only Zoro fics but I have a Law x F Reader one I'm working on that I'll post at some point next week. That's all, enjoy the story. :3
Summary: Zoro accidentally hurts you during a training exercise and is sure you’ll never forgive him. You’re sure he thinks you’re weak for getting hurt. A little communication would solve everything, but Zoro was never good with words.
Warnings: reader gets injured and ignores the injury, unresolved angst gets a resolution, reader and Zoro fight, reader gets yelled at. Little fluff at the end.
WC: 1600
You and your crewmate Zoro were on the main deck, fighting each other as part of a training exercise. It was getting heated, and taunts and jabs were being thrown back and fourth, all in good fun. You were laser focused on Zoro’s next move, when Chopper yelled out in surprise about a fish he caught off the side of the boat. You got distracted enough for Zoro to take you down, but you landed on your ankle wrong and something snapped. You yelped as searing pain shot through your ankle up your leg. Zoro’s eye widened in shock.
“Shit, are you okay?” he asked.
“Y-yeah, I’m good. Just startled me is all,” you lied. He squinted his eye at you, clearly not believing you. You forced yourself to walk upright and without limp, the pain becoming unbearable, but you didn’t want him or any of the crew to worry. “Told you, I’m fine.”
You made your way to your room, careful to take a route that passed as few other members of the crew as possible. As soon as you made it in the room, you collapsed onto your bed and buried your face into your pillow to scream. You then finally took the time to assess the injury. Your ankle was swelling and bruised, and from the pain and snap you heard, something broke, badly. The door suddenly swung open as Nami walked into the room, and you quickly covered your ankle with a blanket and tried your best to look normal.
“Oh, hey!” she said. “What happened out there?”
“Nothing, I just got startled and knocked over” you replied quickly.
“You feeling okay? You look like shit,” Nami questioned.
“Yeah, I’m good. Just… tired is all.” you lied. “From the training.”
“Riiiiight,” Nami said. “Well dinner will be ready soon, if you want to walk down together?”
“Thanks, but I’m gonna rest here for a while,” you said. Nami clearly wasn’t buying it either, but she walked back out without saying anything else. You laid back down on the bed and tried to fall asleep.
A few hours passed before anybody checked on you again. Zoro was the next to enter, knocking before he crept in. “Hey, I was coming to see how you were-” his sentence cut off as he saw your body laid out before him. You were shaking and sweating, and he could clearly see your ankle and how awful it looked. “Shit,” he muttered under his breath, before yelling for Chopper. He rushed over to you and tried to wake you up.
“Hey! Hey, wake up!” he begged. You stirred slightly, moaning in pain as your ankle moved. Realization hit you, and you jolted up, staring at him in surprise.
“W-what are you doing in here?” you gasped.
“I came to check up on you! Why didn’t you tell me you were injured!? Chopper should have known about this as soon as it happened!” he yelled. He was tense, and clearly angry with you for hiding your injury. He quickly softened though, when he saw you trembling, tears threatening to fall down your face.
“I’m sorry…” you whispered. “I didn’t want you to think I was weak.” You sniffled, and brought your hands up to quickly wipe your face. You didn’t want Zoro to see you crying, especially when he was angry at you. What you didn’t expect was for his large, scarred hands to grab yours so gently. He started to speak, but the moment was interrupted by Chopper rushing in with a med kit, screaming when he saw your ankle. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner! This looks bad!” he yelled, panicking. He shoved Zoro out of the way and quickly got to work stabilizing and assessing the injury.
“Sorry,” you whimpered.
“Just don’t do this again, please! It looks like you shattered the bone!” Chopper pleaded. He quickly changed forms to be able to carry you to the medical area, and Zoro was left alone in the room. His thoughts spiraled as he realized just how badly you were hurt, and it was all his fault. Just when he thought he was getting closer to you, to maybe finally use his words to tell you how he felt, and now he’s gone and ruined it. He didn’t even get to tell you that he didn’t think you were weak.
“Fucking great,” he groaned to himself. “Now they’re never gonna like me.”
You had to stay in the medical area for several days before Chopper would let you leave with crutches. Several of the bones connecting your foot to your leg had broken on the impact of your fall, and it would be a long road to recovery. Usopp visited you to tell you funny stories, Sanji brought you your favorite food, and the others all came to visit and cheer you up, except for Zoro. Just when we were starting to get close, you thought to yourself. He kept his distance, sure of himself that you’d hate him now.
The longer he avoided you, the more you were certain he really did find you weak. Pathetic, you told yourself. I’m weak. He’d never like someone who couldn’t match his strength. When you were finally allowed to hobble around the ship on the crutches Franky built, you made it a mission to avoid Zoro too. The only times you had to interact were at meal times, and even then he’d just grab something and go back to the crow’s nest by himself. The rest of the crew couldn’t help but notice, but, they weren’t sure how to help.
Things came to a head when the Sunny docked at the next island. The crew had decided it might help to assign Zoro to ship guard duty/taking care of you duty, and since you couldn’t get off, maybe you’d get some time to talk things through. However, the both of you protested.
“I don’t need Zoro to look after me, he doesn’t need to bother himself with someone who’s so weak that they’re not worth checking on when they’re hurt!” you spat out. Zoro froze at your words, and it dawned on him that the last thing you said to him was that you thought you were weak. His avoiding you only reaffirmed that in your head, and he never bothered to check in with you or correct you. That explained your avoidance of him, even after you were released from the med bay. Before he could speak to you to finally explain, you had turned and hobbled back inside. “I’m going to go lay down, leave whoever you want on the ship for guard duty, but I’m fine.”
Zoro rushed to follow you, the rest of the crew standing around awkwardly as they tried to figure out what to do. By the time he got to your room, you had already gone inside and locked the door. He could hear you sobbing on the other side. He tentatively knocked, and waited for a response.
“Go away!” you yelled.
“Can we please talk?” he asked.
“No! Just leave me alone,” you sobbed.
He stood there for a moment, not sure how to go about this. He was never good at words, but they were all he had to get through to you now. If he could just say the right ones. “I don’t think you’re weak,” he started.
“What?” you asked in disbelief.
“I said I don’t think you’re weak,” he answered. “I never have. You’re one of the strongest people I know.”
The door to the room unlocked, and it opened slowly to reveal your tear stained face. “Then why did you ignore me for nearly two weeks?” you asked. Your voice was barely audible but Zoro clung to every word. “I was sure you thought I was a weakling for getting so hurt just by falling down…”
“I… I don’t know,” he replied nervously. “I couldn’t face you after what I did to you. It’s my fault you’re hurt. I thought you’d blame me.”
“I never blamed you,” you told him softly.
The two of you stood in silence after that, both taking in what was said and both feeling stupid for not saying something sooner. This whole thing could have been avoided with a little more communication. After what felt like an eternity, Zoro couldn’t take it anymore, and he grabbed your face and pulled you in for a kiss. It was passionate and needy, telling everything without the need for words as he pulled you closer to him. You relaxed into his arms, putting your own arms around his neck. When the two of you finally pulled away, neither of you could hide your smiles.
“I’m sorry I didn’t say something sooner,” he started. “I’m just-”
“-not good at words?” you finished his sentence. “Yeah, I know. Just try to speak up next time, okay?”
“I’ll try,” he said. Sliding his hand in yours, he helped you hobble back up to the main deck and you both sat together and waited for the rest of the crew to return.
When the rest of the crew got back later, supplies in hand, they found Zoro sitting next to you, one arm wrapped protectively around your waist, and your head resting on his chest as you slept peacefully. His other hand was cradling your face, thumb rubbing your cheek softly, and he couldn’t help but to chuckle as the crew stared on in shock. They waited for an explanation, but he didn’t give one. After all, Zoro never was good with words.

Alright, everyone else gets angst posting, I’ll give it a shot.
How would the RO’s react to some sort of spell being cast on the MC, making them think their father is there? Some sort of ploy to get the MC closer to them, probably for harm.
Loving the story so far!!! :)
(Ouch, this hurts... My fellow pain enjoyers, rejoice! Also, apologies that this took so long to get to.)
S: They see it. The clarity in your eyes fog over, the once bright light filling with murky water. It's a sight S has witnessed often. You have been hit with a powerful curse to dominate your mind and fill your head with painful visions.
"Dad..."
You whisper the familial title like a solemn prayer, reaching out into the empty space before you, and S's chest lurches. They do not hesitate to act. In moments, they stand in front of you, grasping your face with both hands as they stare into your eyes, filling your vision with them rather than what they can only imagine coaxes you behind them.
"It isn't real. Look at me," they order, pressing their forehead against yours. "I'm so sorry, my love, but it isn't real. Whoever has cast this curse on you means to harm you, and I will not let that happen. Keep your eyes closed, darling. Keep them closed until I can take it away."
Rain: Rain doesn't understand what is happening. One moment, both of you were enjoying a bit of banter, a playful back-and-forth with teasing insults, before it stopped. Everything stopped.
"MC?"
Nothing. Then, something. You look straight past them as you call out to the darkness. "Dad..."
"Oh, no."
In a flash of realisation, Rain steps between you and the apparition. Anybody or anything willing to conjure up an image of your greatest wound does not have good intentions, but Rain cannot fight what they do not see.
"I'm sorry for this, MC," they whisper, clasping a hand firmly over your eyes. "Your dad isn't there, MC, I promise you that. I'm so sorry that I can't make it different."
Taj: Taj senses it before they see it. Something in the air, like a crack of electricity whipping across their skin. It causes the scars to ache. Then, Taj turns to you, ready to ask if you are sensing something similar. But what they are greeted with terrifies them.
Your usual colourful eyes have dampened as if a dark smog is purposefully shutting out the light. It scares them.
"Dad..."
Taj watches as you reach for an empty space, an lifeless smile on your face.
"Oi, Koel, snap out of it." Taj snaps in front of your face, their heart beating rapidly in their chest. When you keep reaching out to nothingness, Taj grabs your hand and holds it to their chest. "There's nothing there, so stop it. Please."
When even that doesn't seem to work, Taj snaps. "Oh, fuck it." With their forehead pressed firmly against yours, they hold you in place.
"Listen to me right now. Your dad is dead. You spent your entire life fucking shit up because of it, and I fuckin' love you for that. No matter how shit things got, you never gave up. So don't you dare fall to this now. Ya hear me?"
N: N knows dark magic when they see it. They are sure to some their magic could be considered dark. In their opinion, a little mind-reading wasn't really hurtful... Well, that was what they believed until meeting you. Now, they see you reaching out into nothing and feel their burning skin turn cold.
"Dad..."
"Oh, no you don't," they mutter, standing between you and the nothing you reach for. "Sorry, my dear, but I get terribly jealous. I can't let just anyone inside your head."
N is inside you in an instant. For once, they don't wish to see. Instead, they concentrate hard on creating some kind of barrier to stop access. "Feel free to punish me later. I'll wait with anticipation."
Umbra: Umbra has spent far too long gazing into your eyes. They have every tiny variation of colour seered into their mind. The instant the colour of your eyes becomes muted, their already pallid skin grows paler.
"Dad..."
They turn towards where you reach for, and they realise you are grasping at nothing.
This isn't like them. This moment isn't like theirs. They had no body to lose; it was given. But it breaks their heart to think you might believe this is possible thanks to what they are.
With a tentative touch, Umbra reaches up to cup your cheek, hoping the cold of their touch might serve as a light raft to pull you to safety from wherever your mind lays adrift. "Feel the cold, MC. Feel what is real, and know what is not. I'm sorry, I know it is selfish, but I need you back with me."

How to Suck Less at Summaries
Probably almost anyone who's ever posted a fic to ao3 or a platform with a similar interface has been hit by that moment of panic, breaking in on the euphoria of having finished and polished a fic--"what do I put for the summary?!"
So much so, that "I suck at summaries" in the summary box has become something of a cliche. It's very understandable! You've already put all that work into writing the fic itself, and now you have to write ANOTHER thing with its own set of conventions and expectations? No way!
And I want to start by saying that that's absolutely fine. Fic writing is your hobby, your creative endeavor; you're not obligated to do anything in it that you don't want to. You can leave the summary box completely blank--ao3 will let you--and there's no reason you shouldn't, if that's what you want to do! If you're happy with your summaries, please don't change them. There's no wrong way to do summaries. This is your invitation to ignore the entire rest of this post!
However. My impression is that an awful lot of people aren't happy with their summaries. They would like to have summaries that catch a reader's attention, that fit common patterns, or that give a good representation of the fic; they're just not sure how to accomplish that, or what readers might be expecting. And the good news is that writing various styles of summaries, like other kinds of writing, is a skill you can improve--and that there are some tips and tricks that can help you write the kinds of summaries you may want to write more quickly.
How do I know? Well, on top of having read I don't know how many fics, I've published 200 of my own, with all different kinds of summaries. (In fact, writing this post is my treat to myself to celebrate publishing 200 fics!) So I have a lot of trial and error experience to draw on. I'll be using my own summaries as examples (plus some hypothetical examples), because I don't want to be nitpicking anyone else's!
I'm going to throw in a cut now because this is gonna get long.
What do you want to accomplish with your summary?
That's the first question you might want to ask yourself. And the answer really is up to you! The name "summary" suggests it's supposed to be a sort of short version of your story. That's one option. But summaries are often used to accomplish various other things, too: some of my favorite summaries don't really tell you anything about the plot of the fic, but instead give you a glimpse of the writer's style or lure you in with a question. It can also fill organizational purposes like commemorating the reason the fic was written (although author notes can also be effective for things like this).
Most fundamentally, I tend to think of the summary box as a place to manage your readers' expectations. I want them to have some sense of what the fic they're about to read might be like, and I want to present that in a way that highlights why it might be appealing to them. Of course, what I write won't be appealing to every reader--and an effective summary, plus accurate tags and ratings of course, allows a reader who won't enjoy what I have to offer to quickly keep scrolling and find something that fits their tastes better. But the way I think of them, summaries are really mainly for readers who will enjoy my fic if they decide to open it. A summary for a fic is like a pretty package for a gift: the gift is great in itself, and the nice gift-wrap makes it more eye-catching and more fun to open!
Sidebar: This "managing expectations" thing is, I think, the reason why authors sometimes add notes in the summary like "I'm sorry if this sucks" or "this is my first fic, it's probably terrible." I completely understand where this comes from--you don't want to make your readers expect some kind of genius literature and then only have something to give them that you yourself are still insecure about! But I really do think they're generally counterproductive. On the one hand, that kind of negative self-talk will tend to undermine your own confidence and make you more insecure about your writing, not less; on the other hand, they can subconsciously prime your readers to notice weaknesses and issues that they might otherwise not even have paid attention to! That doesn't mean you have to pretend you think your writing is perfect; very few of us do think what we post on fic archives is perfect. There's nothing wrong, even, with a note like "this is my first fic" or "this one is a bit experimental, I'm not sure how I feel about it" or "this wasn't written in my first language" or even "this is an old fic and I don't think it represents my best work anymore", although I tend to put that kind of commentary on craft in the author's notes rather than the summary, but that's just me; there's no rule. As an example, when I recently published my first fic in the Hornblower fandom, which has a historical setting I wasn't previously very familiar with, I thanked my beta for helping me avoid "historical howlers" and added "any remaining are my own responsibility." That made me feel better about potential mistakes in research by showing that I was aware I might have made some. I put this in an author's note at the end of the story. But, for the sake of you as a writer as well as me as a reader, I'm asking you--please don't start out our reader/writer relationship by telling me it's terrible! Give yourself a chance to shine. Even if there's a lot you're insecure about in your fic, there's something you love--maybe it's the premise, the ship, even one particular line--that makes you want to share it with the world. Use the summary to highlight that. As your reader, that's what I want to know about!
Anyway, now that you've decided what you want your summary to accomplish, there are a couple of very easy ways to fill the summary box that you might want to consider--if they make sense for your fic.
Just quote the prompt
When I write prompt-fic, often very short, I frequently just quote the prompt itself as the summary. An example would be my 3 Sentence Ficathon fic archived on ao3. Since the challenge in this event is to write a complete fic in only three sentences, a summary wouldn't be much shorter than the fic itself! So I just do summaries like
For reeby10's prompt: "Doctor Who, Clara/Twelve, unforgettable."
(Gaps)
This can work outside of prompt memes, too. If you're doing a monthly challenge, for instance, something like
Flufftember day 21, 'breakfast in bed'
might tell your readers all they need to know to be interested in your story and know what to expect.
Set the context
For some fic, the most important thing you want your readers to know going in is something about the fic's context. For instance, with drabbles I sometimes use the summary as a place to sneak in information about setting/what's supposed to be happening that I didn't have room for in the drabble itself. For Susan's Twist, a 100-word drabble, I set the scene in the summary:
Susan is grooving to the latest chart-topper of 1963. But for some reason, the song makes her grandfather uncomfortable.
which meant I didn't have to use any of my 100 words explaining "Susan was listening to the radio, when..." Since Susan's Twist was inspired by someone else's Tumblr post, I could also just have referenced that post in the summary. But in this case, I chose to phrase the premise in my own words in the summary, and cite the Tumblr post in the author's notes (I also tagged the OP when I shared the fic on Tumblr).
Flower Children is an example of a drabble with a not particularly effective summary where I could have used this strategy quite effectively. The summary is just
Neither of them wants to fight.
which is all right, but which doesn't do much to set up the (admittedly cracky) Eighth Doctor/Dalek Oswin pairing that motivates the fic. But then, I've always felt like I didn't have quite as much of an idea as I'd like about what the context for this fic is supposed to be. Maybe I'll write more about them sometime.
Setting the context can also be useful for summaries of AUs. Very often, what draws people into AUs is the AU concept itself.
For instance, the premise of my story te quaerens, Ariadna is that the events of the audio Zagreus go differently and the Doctor remains possessed by/transformed into Zagreus. So that's what I said in the summary:
The Doctor is still Zagreus, but he and Charley find ways to keep going.
In this case, the summary is accomplishing more than one thing; it explains the concept, but it also indicates a bit of the story's tone--it's fairly optimistic given its premise, and it's more about how their relationship evolves than any particular plotty event.
With setting change AUs--especially in familiar AU settings, like a coffeeshop, high school, or fantasy monarchy--often what readers will most want to know is what roles the characters are filling; in other words, how the translation from canon to AU has been made. For instance, my story Warmth is already tagged as a coffeeshop AU with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan, and Adric, so the summary indicates that it's told from the perspective of Tegan as a new employee:
Unexpectedly stranded in London and looking for work, Tegan finds a place where she just might fit in.
If she had been a longtime employee or a customer, that would have changed the story's dynamics, and I would have wanted the summary to reflect that instead. I could have also added that the Doctor is the shop's manager and Nyssa and Adric are the existing employees, but I decided to let the story itself reveal that in this case.
With someone's planted a bath bomb in the matrix, which is a retail AU inspired by an incorrect quotes tumblr post, I just stuck the whole tumblr post in the summary box:
Romana: When you work at lush and a customer comes in and bites the soap because they think it’s cheese… this happens way more frequently than you think. Leela: If you stopped literally presenting soap as deli food this wouldn't happen. Narvin: Who goes into a bath store and thinks something covered in glitter is cheese? Brax: Who goes to the store and just takes a bite from the cheese? ~incorrectgallifreyquotes.tumblr.com
I might do that a bit differently now--maybe more the way I handled Susan's Twist--maybe something like this in the summary:
An uptight employee and a too-suave customer are making Romana's job managing a bath store way too stressful. Thank goodness--probably--that her best friend works for mall security.
And then I'd have put the tumblr post that inspired it in author's notes.
Thing is, though, that reflects my taste and what I think is effective now, but it doesn't mean I did it wrong the first time. People read and enjoyed the story, and it was fine!
Also I just showed this post to Moki and she said she thinks the first one's more intriguing. So that just goes to show, it's really a matter of taste.
This strategy is also useful for missing scenes and things like that. Something as simple as
While waiting for Z to return from the rendezvous, X and Y have a conversation.
can draw in readers very effectively, especially if X and Y's conversation was kind of obviously a gap in the story that they might already be curious about.
Use a quote
A surprisingly effective and straightforward way to create a summary is just to use a quote from the fic. I've seen tons of great summaries like this that hook me in immediately. I struggle with using it myself, because I want the line I quote to be powerful/impactful/intriguing and give some sense of what the plot is like and make sense out of context, and I don't often seem to be able to find lines like that in my own work. But I did for The Moon by Night:
It could not have been more than a day that we clung to the hull of that station full of troopers.
Since this is a space AU for a historical fiction novel, this line gives some sense of how the events of the story have been translated into space, and also shows the voice I'm writing in (I tried to follow the style of the original, which is first-person, which is unusual for me). If you can find a line like that in your work, it can be a great summary. You can even just put the first couple of lines of the fic, especially if you've already worked to make them an effective hook!
You can also use a quote from another source. Was there a line or moment from canon that inspired the fic? A poem or song that fits its mood? You can use the summary as a sort of epigraph. (I often use author's notes for this as well.) If your readers vibe with the quote that inspired the story, they're likely to vibe with the story as well.
I did something like this with Absent thee from felicity awhile. The title is a quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet, and all I put in the summary box was another quote from a couple of lines later:
…to tell my story.
This is so short and contextless, though, that I'm not sure how effective it was. It maybe only works if you recognize the specific Hamlet scene that it's taken from and have thought about that scene in the context of a specific episode of Hornblower. (I promise that, if you do, it's heartbreakingly ironic!) This could have been a good opportunity for me to do a double summary (see below), especially since the story is epistolary and I could've established its context. Although I did kind of like revealing who was reading the letter and when slowly over the course of the story.
Okay, but I do want to explain the plot
Right, so we've established that effective summaries don't have to be in that "back of the book blurb" format. But sometimes you want them to be. Sometimes the thing you're most excited about is the story's plot or events, and you want to communicate that to the reader. But you already wrote the story in order to communicate the plot to the reader; how do you condense it into a sentence or two? Here are some tips that may help.
Are you using familiar tropes? If so, just mentioning them will likely tell your reader not only what the plot is, but that (if they like that trope) they're likely to enjoy it. For instance:
A and B are trapped in a snow cave/ice planet/walk-in freezer and must huddle for warmth.
That particular one will also explain a bit about the setting, if you want.
Relationship status/development is also something that many readers want to know, whether it's a romantic or a gen relationship (e.g. characters becoming friends or realizing they see each other as family). For instance, if A and B admit their romantic feelings for the first time in that huddling for warmth story, you might add:
They get a lot closer than either of them expects...
I rather like ellipses at the end of a summary; I think they imply, sort of, "read the fic to find out the rest." I sometimes use them to soften a summary that feels a bit abrupt. I feel like this might be just me, though? So if you don't like ellipses, nothing wrong with ending that same summary with a period.
If you have a fic where the entire content is some emotional development between characters, the entire summary can easily be that too!
I don't really write smut so I don't have good advice for summarizing it, but I get the feeling this might be a relevant strategy for it?
What changes in the story? This could be a change in characters' attitudes towards each other, in the information they have, in their physical situation, or anything else. A story doesn't have to be about one single major change, but there's almost always at least one. (Or a change fails to happen, but in an interesting way: "five times Lois Lane didn't realize Clark was Superman" would be a perfectly intriguing summary!)
What demands are made of the characters? Many stories involve a character overcoming some kind of challenge or meeting some kind of test. A summary can indicate what that challenge is--and you don't have to indicate whether or how the characters meet it! This can contribute to a feeling of suspense, so that the reader feels they need to read the story to find out how the characters react. For instance, I summarized my story Journey as:
The Doctor and Ace need to stop a dimensional leakage to put a life-sucking entity back where it belongs. But to do so, they'll each need to protect the other in their own way.
What are their own ways? Do they succeed? The reader can probably guess that they do--but how? Their attention is caught, and they'll have to read to find out!
Some notes on format and style
Summary style is as personal as the rest of your writing style, so this is only intended as a mention of a couple of trends I've noticed.
Sometimes summaries are 'in-universe'--i.e. they describe the characters and what they do, without reference to the existence of the fic itself as a textual entity--and sometimes, like the "five times" example I gave above, they refer to the fic's format, characteristics, relationship to canon, etc. in direct terms. (For instance, the example I gave for a missing scene was 'in-universe,' but I could just as well have said "While waiting for Z to return during Episode 3..."). Either of these approaches are fine, although I personally tend to incline more towards the in-universe style unless I have a particular reason to use the other, such as in Differences of Opinion, which took a lot of metatextual explaining:
When I read enough easily-crossed-over stories, such as for instance the Age of Sail books that I have been reading lately and also spaceship stories inspired thereby, what inevitably happens is I end up with a nebulous meta crossover setting where they can all hang out outside of their respective canons. Here's one conversation from that setting.
I keep wondering if something more terse might have been more effective, and I could have put all that in the author's notes. But I really think that for anyone who would enjoy this fic, the metatextual complication is a big part of the appeal. So I put it in the summary.
It's pretty standard to write in-universe-style summaries in the present tense, even if the fic is in the past tense. "The characters do this and that," not "the characters did this and that." You don't have to, but it's what your reader is most likely to be expecting.
It seems to be quite common to have a double summary: one that maybe reflects the style and tone of the fic, and another, more matter-of-fact one that explains the plot. They're frequently joined by "or." I don't typically use it--maybe because I rarely have the problem of having too much summary--but if you do, this could be a great solution.
Spellcheck and proofread your summary extra. Whatever strategies you normally use to make sure the words in your story are the words you actually meant to write, it's a good idea to turn those strategies on the summary with special intensity. After all, this is your first impression on your reader, so you probably want to look as polished as possible!
These are just a few things I've noticed that I tend to think about when staring at that blinking cursor in the summary box. I hope they may help you, too, to feel like you have something to say in that moment!

My take on the current fandom discourse
As well as a little reminder.
It hurts and is unfortunate to see many people on here and on Twitter who are worried and hurt by things they saw within the new teaser and sneak peek and their interpretation of what it means.
So I've decided to post this as a little reminder of who Daryl and Carol are to each other and how much they truly mean to each other, hoping that it can reassure at least a few of you.
I won't be disputing people's interpretation of the teaser and sneak peek, but I will be using a parallel I saw within the sneak peek and another similar scene. I'll let the gifs below speak for themselves for a moment before I continue, and I think most of you will know exactly where I'm headed with this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She gets hurt She dies She catches a fever She gets taken out by a walker... She gets hit by lightning Anything... anything happens to her, I'll kill you.
- Daryl Dixon TWD 07x10
These were Daryl's words when the Kingdom, Alexandria, Hilltop, and everyone he knew were in danger, and even then, not even for a split second was he willing to put Carol's life and safety on the line.
There is not an ounce of doubt in me that Daryl feels any differently now; in fact, his love for her has grown even more because of everything they've been through since and all the time he's been forced to be away from her, never knowing if he'll ever see her again.
If the way he cared for the people of Alexandria, Kingdom, and Hilltop combined couldn't outweigh how much he cared for Carol, there is ZERO chance that Isabelle, Laurent, and the people from Nest ever could.
When Daryl finally lays eyes on Carol in season 2, compared to her, nothing else will matter to him anymore. The second Carol is ever in danger, Daryl will immediately prioritise her safety over all else.
Of course, he'll help the Nest as much as he can, and so will Carol; that's who they are, but if it ever came down to choosing between one or the other, they will always choose each other.
Yes, it's his nature to always fight for people who need him, but his feelings towards Carol led him to overcome that nature once, and he'll do it again without a second thought.
Trust the man who risked his life looking for her daughter
Trust the man who instantly ran into danger to protect her
Trust the man who ran into her arms when they reunited
Trust the man who would risk death to keep her safe
Trust the man who held her when she lost her children
Trust the man who ran to shelter her from seeing her son dead
Trust the man who puts himself between her and danger
Trust the man who stood by her when she lost herself
Trust the man who always made sure she was okay first (this)
Trust the man who has always put Carol first
Trust the man we've known for 13 years!
In 07x10, as a last attempt to convince Daryl to follow the plan and sacrifice Carol to save everyone else, Richard says:
"What we have to do requires sacrifice one way or another... Guys like us... we've already lost so much"
Daryl responds by saying:
"You don't know me"
Because it's true, Richard didn't know him, he didn't know what Carol meant to him, he couldn't imagine, but we do. And just like Richard, the people in France don't know him and don't know how much Carol means to him, hence why they don't understand him no matter how many times he has said that he has his home to get back to and promises he needs to keep.
So why don't they understand? Why doesn't he tell them about her? Why doesn't he explain who he wants to get back to and why? Wouldn't that just make things easier?
The amazingly insightful @haircoveredwriter reminded me of something here: Why didn't Richard expect Daryl's reaction towards Carol being put in harm's way? Why do Isabelle, Laurent, and Losang not hear Daryl when he tries to explain himself?
Daryl has always held the people he cares about the most as close to his chest as possible, like they're his fragile secrets, like he's scared of sharing them in case they get hurt or he loses them. Of course, you might say that that's more something we do as children, but we can't forget that Daryl never got to have a childhood, and he lost the only people he ever loved while growing up, so no, I can't fault him for trying to protect the person he cares about most, even if it's not in the most conventional ways, instead of talking about her and sharing her with anyone he has an acquaintance with.
This is also a way for Daryl to protect himself; I can see how he believes telling others about her is like advertising his weakness, his achilles heel, like holding up a sign to them that says "Here, this is where you can hit me if you want it to hurt the most. This is my weakest spot. This is how you take me down".
Speaking about her out loud is too painful; a reminder of how much he missed saying her name, what he can't have and may never be able to see again.
Listen to the hesitation and the way his voice softens when he says, "There's a lady named Carol" after Laurent asks who he misses from home, and how within a second, we see his guard go right back up again.
Look at how he can't help but smile when he hears her voice saying his name again after however long, or how he can't stand still, and his shoulders move like someone who's overwhelmed by an emotion that they're trying to contain.
The Daryl we see in the new teaser/sneak peek and the Darly we'll be getting in TBOC season 2 is the exact same Daryl he has always been, the one that's always seen as distant and guarded on the outside and a man of few words but incredibly loud actions; almost all of these have been developed as a self-defence mechanism, but none of these means that internally he isn't dying to leave France and get back to her, to hold her again, to see her smile again, to make her laugh again, to wipe her tears when she cries, to be her support and man of honour again.
The list from earlier in this post is just a few examples (of many) of how he has repeatedly shown us, through his actions, that she is the most important thing in the world to him.
~~~~~~
To wrap this up I just wanted to say that I can't wait to see how their bond strengthens even more in season two because I see these two as the definition of soulmates.
I love them, I love how they love each other, and I always will.
Or in @lola-andheruniverse's wise words (her post), which have stuck with me:
"I'm choosing to hope [and trust] and ignore the fear of disappointment... I'll always love them... They changed the way I understand love, and I'll never regret a second spent loving them."
For those who want to watch the scenes mentioned above, the timestamps are as follows:
TWD 07x10 scene between Richard and Daryl is 8:45 - 14:27.
TWD: DD 01x05 scene between Laurent and Daryl 9:20 - 10:50
TWD: DD 01x05 radio call between Carol and Daryl
Thank you to those who read through this; I know it's a little long, and I could have honestly made it 3x longer because I always have so much to say about these two, but I hope it helped ease your minds, even if it was just a little bit.
Chapter (Japanese)
(Please hit the green thumbs up at the end of the Japanese chapter to show support)
Rough translation by me
P1
Maki: Hey, do you guys
Maki: believe in ghosts?
Hikaru: Ghosts?
Yoshiki: You mean that photo...? The one you posted?
Maki: Ah...well...yeah. Sorry for making a weird post
Maki: It's like...
P2
Maki: Every night, these "legs" show up in my house.
Maki: At first, it seriously spooked me and I fell and hurt myself.
Maki: Day after day the number of legs have increased, too
Maki: Sure, it's really scary, but at this point, to be honest...
Maki: It's way more annoying than scary!
Maki: Shit!
P3
Yoshiki: ...I kinda get it?
Hikaru: Hmmm.
Maki: And on top of that, even though I've already got this broken arm
Maki: This weird rash has shown up on my leg.
Maki: Reason unknown, they said
Maki: I don't have any sixth sense, and I've never "seen" a thing in my life up until now
Maki: So why this all of a sudden?
Hikaru: Hey, Maki
P4
Hikaru: Do you keep any animals? Or maybe you kept one before?
Hikaru: Hmm...No, it's nothing. I see...
Maki: Huh? I've never kept any, why?
??: Yuuta! What time do you think it is!?
Maki: Ah, shit, I need to go.
Maki: If anything else happens I'll let you know, bye!
(sfx: ting)
Hikaru: Hmmm....
Yoshiki: Why an animal?
Hikaru: It had been like...hanging around Maki, but...
P5
Hikaru: Anyway, let's go to Ashidori. Maki's house is there right?
Hikaru: One of the holes should be in Ashidori.
Hikaru: It's hard to think that Maki's issues and the hole are unrelated.
Yoshiki: Yeah, I'm worried about Maki too.
Yoshiki: I get the feeling it'll be bad to leave him as is.
P6
(sfx: tap tap)
Mom: Wait! Yoshiki!
Mom: We need to send something as thanks to your classmate's mother(?) who drove you home yesterday...
Mom: And you're going out without saying anything again?...At least say where you're going...
Yoshiki: I'm staying over at Maki's place
Mom: ...good grief
P7
(sfx: vroom)
Rie: Ghost legs, huh... Come to think of it, I haven't seen many of those in town
Hikaru: Now that the holes are opening up for real, the old impurities of the people who were sacrificed must be coming out
Rie: Well, for now let's go and take a look. We've got to dig around for any clues about the hole, too.
P8
Hikaru: Are you scared?
Yoshiki: I'm not confident that I'm really ready for this...
P9
Hi. First, I wanted to let you know that you're a huge inspiration to me :)
Second, as a fellow fanartist I wanted to ask: how do you get over the fear of people perceiving your artwork as too unfinished (if you have that fear at all?) How do you tell yourself "okay stop. This is as much as I'm gonna work on this page" and then hit the post button? I have this thing where I start a piece and then never post it cause "it's not completed yet".
Thank you in advance!
Ah thank you:3
Honestly, I just prefer speed over finality. My goal is not to create perfectly beautiful art. My goal is to tell a story. To convey information. To convert my train of thought into something that can be perceived with the eyes.
I can do smooth linework, detailed renderings, correct anatomy and all that. But I don't really need that, as the sketch is enough to convey the story. And it's very quick too~
For me, an artwork is considered complete when it says everything I want to say through it. And sometimes that means making the hands look like two blotches. Simply because for my story, the hands aren't important at that point. I'll draw them well in the moment when I want to tell something through them:)
So, usually I just make sure that the most important elements look clear. The facial expressions, the curves of the cape, the position of the hands, whatever. The things I really want people to see and process. Everything else serves solely as a backdrop.
If people think my work is unfinished, that's their problem. I don't have to adjust to their understanding of "completeness." If they want to see my work "finished" according to their value system, they can finish it themselves and then happily look at its perfection lmao
________
Just as a funny addition and proof of my words.
Important Hands:
Not important hands:
And still, for me, they are all - finished:)
Hello!!!! =D
So. We Are ep 13. I don't how they do this, but they keep making every episode better than the last. At this rate, I'll not be able to survive episode 16.
Warning: long post 😊😅 (there will be a smol part 2 because 30 screenshots are definitely not enough.)
Tumblr media
We have the Best Parents in BL, but now I present to you: The Best Aunt in BL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Subtle, Aunt Pui, real subtle. 😭
I get her. She just wants a nice, handsome boyfriend for her nephew. 😌
Tumblr media
First of all, the symbolism is hitting me right in the face, but it's also so subtle because no one else knows the whole story, so they wouldn't be able to figure it out.
Secondly. Yes, the red and blue do clash a bit, and it's not the prettiest little painting. But. Not every painting has to be "pretty" or perfect. Just like feelings or emotions in real life. Peem didn't willingly draw over his precious painting because he thought it'd look better; he did it because he wanted it to express his feelings. This also ties into Peem's insecurity at having (apparently) failed at being Phum's comfort zone because see, in the painting it looks like the sea is embracing the roses, or protecting them.
What I'm trying to say, is that what makes art beautiful is not just what you directly see on the canvas/right in front of you. And this applies even to the "pretty" ones. The David is not just famous because it looks very good, but also because of the amount of skill and talent Michelangelo had to be able to create such a thing from a block of marble. (I'm sorry I'm not good at examples or analogies 😭)
Tumblr media
Sir. What business do you have, making an expression like that and giving me a heart attack.
If I haven't said this before: find a man who looks at you like Phum (Pond) looks at Peem (Phuwin).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two sides of the same coin.
Phum still feels guilty (which is very clear from his reaction to what Peem says) about ruining Peem's painting, so he wants to do something to make sure nothing like that ever happens to Peem again.
Peem is long over it (you don't ever forget shit like that, but he has definitely forgiven Phum). He met Phum because of that Incident™, and he has a new, upgraded painting, so this is just a light joke for him. But the moment he sees it's too soon for Phum, he immediately goes to reassure him he's just kidding, and he absolutely does not hold it over Phum.
Tumblr media
A simple pinky promise, but how much does it mean to Phum?
He's never had someone to make a pinky promise with; Fang was in a similar situation as him, and Beer knew better to make a promise and have it broken by forces outside his control.
So this, this small, childish gesture means quite a bit to him. (Which is also probably why having broken it hurt him so much.)
Tumblr media
And yet Peem, you're smiling so wide while saying that. Almost like *le gasp* you actually like it!
Let's be real here, Peem. You don't mind at all. In fact, you sounded unbearably fond saying this. You were quite literally giggling and kicking your feet. (Which fits my headcanon of him pretty well actually.)
Tumblr media
This shot. Just >>>> (actually thinking of making it my header-)
Tumblr media
Ma boy never misses a chance 😭👍🏼
And if he doen't get a chance, he makes one and nails that too. <3
Tumblr media
SO CUTEE 🥺🫶🏼
Tumblr media
Oh the teasing is on.
Pun: I did that 😌
Beer: Idiots in love. Again. *exasperated sigh*
Tumblr media
[From this point on, I am extremely sleep deprived, so most comments made will probably (definitely) be forgotten by the time I wake up (I'm going right to sleep after posting this.]
Well, Chain, I'm sorry to be the one telling you this, but Phum moved into Peem's heart like 6 episodes ago.
Tumblr media
Well, yeah, but Peem has to act at least a little bit like the tsundere he is, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chain: "Well, can a cupid shoot an arrow at himself?"
Toey: *very telling side-eye*
Q: You really think one flirty line will trigger his half braincell to understand what he didn't in the past however many years? ...go on, I wanna see how this turns out
Pun: *pikachu meme face*
Beer: Oh damn here goes another one, we must be nearing the last episode
Phum: ????
Peem: Don't say anything don't say anything DON'T SAY ANYTHING DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING SAY A SINGLE WORD- (internally: Idiots. They're idiots.)
Tumblr media
Ah, I love the sibling energy here. Also, initially I was like nah you're more like Tan. But then I gave it some thought. And had a Realization: he really is the Fang in their relationship, and Q really is the Tan. (I do not have the brainpower to explain rn, but tell me if you want me too, I'll include it in Part 2.)
Tumblr media
Phum can't wait. (And neither can Peem, because I didn't see ya denying anything, babe. Instead, you gave him the softest shoulder bump in the history of soft shoulder bumps and that bigass (smitten) smile.
Tumblr media
Oh boy this scene.
Right before this, when Peem called Phum immediately after the last brushstroke, I was smiling so hard and giggling like yesss do boyfriend-y things with each other!
Him waiting on the porch: still big smile. Here comes Phum! Ooh are they gonna flirt in the car??
My smile started dimming as the seconds ticked by and no Phum appeared on screen.
Until I finally realized what was happening.
I almost stopped breathing.
And as the scene went on my heart broke a little more with every text and every call, and I was watching that mall scene again. Except it was much much worse this time.
So long story short, I was heartbroken for both of them. Especially when Peem showed up alone with the saddest lost-kitten face ever.
But, at this point I knew Phum must have had something really urgent/unaviodable to miss his meeting with Peem because 1. He really really loves that boy and 2. He was very much looking forward to doing this with Peem.
Unfortunately, I will have to end Part 1 here (please don't kill me), and I'm loathe to end on a sad note, but I promise the next part will be much happier. It will hopefully be posted a little later today.
If you got this far, thank you so much for reading! 😊
Here, have a pudding 🍮
Hi! Please post ANYTHING Bill Skarsgard? 🥺🩷
Yes I cann
Warning:it is quite short,sorry about that,loves🫤
"I can't believe it's already Monday," you groaned, burying your face in the pillow. The weekend had flown by in a blur of Netflix binges and lazy afternoon naps.
Bill chuckled from beside you, his arm tightening around your waist. "You say that every week."
You peeked out from under the pillow to see him smiling down at you, his blue eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well, it's true," you replied, poking him playfully. "But this week feels worse than usual."
He leaned in closer, his breath tickling your ear. "How about we make it a little more interesting?" he murmured, his voice low and suggestive.
You couldn't help but laugh as you sat up, tossing the pillow at him. It hit him square in the chest, he grabs the pillow before placing it back against the headboard and leaning on it. "Bill!" you exclaimed, trying to keep a straight face.
He caught the pillow with ease, his laughter echoing through the quiet room. "What?" he said, feigning innocence. "I just thought we could start the week with a little fun."
You rolled your eyes, but the smile playing on your lips betrayed your amusement. "You're impossible," you said, snuggling back into the warmth of the bed. The sun was just beginning to peek through the blinds, casting a soft glow across the bedroom.
"Only when it comes to you," Bill responded, his grin never wavering. He leaned over to kiss the tip of your nose, making you giggle. His hand found yours under the blanket, fingers lacing together.
The warmth of his touch sent a pleasant shiver down your spine. You felt the weight of the week ahead lift slightly, replaced by the comfort of his presence. "You know, you're pretty good at making Mondays better," you admitted, nuzzling closer to him.
Bill's smile grew as he wrapped his arm around you once more. "Is that so?" He whispered, his voice still playful. "What else can I do to sweeten your day?"
You thought for a moment, watching the way the light danced in his eyes. "I don't know," you said coyly. "But I'm sure you'll think of something."
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against your neck. "How about breakfast in bed?" he suggested, his tone hinting at something more than just pancakes and orange juice.
You felt your cheeks flush as you pulled away to look at him. "Breakfast in bed, huh?" You raised an eyebrow. "That sounds... tempting."
"Good," Bill said, his eyes gleaming. He sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed. "Give me twenty minutes," he instructed, planting a quick kiss on your forehead. "I'll whip up something special."
Ectoplasm Gives You Wings - Flying Lesson
New scene for this fic! This one is a bit of a doozy: nearly 3k words just for one scene.
Masterpost/Subscription Post for this fic.
DPxDC, T-rated Genfic
Context: This scene is the second time Danny has met Red Hood.
The problem with a city like Gotham - or at least this part of it - was that there were very few open spots away from prying eyes. Even rooftops often had cameras near the access door, or looking over from the next building over. Danny got that people here were paranoid about crime and potential supervillain attacks. He didn't blame them. He just wished he had somewhere private to practice flying.
After weeks of searching, he finally found something. There was a corner of one park that looked like it had been allowed to grow wild for years. The remnants of a half-collapsed pavilion were completely overgrown with vines and flowers. There were even skinny saplings growing out of what might have once been a sandbox. People didn't go there. Danny couldn’t find any cameras aimed at it. This was as close to privacy as he could get.
Danny found a stump that was about two feet tall and stood on top of it. He spread out his wings. The muscles ached as he stretched them, too used to being folded close against his back. Danny awkwardly flapped them. It felt a bit ridiculous. He knew the basic physics of how flight worked. The air underneath the wing moved more slowly than the air on top of it, creating a pressure differential that caused lift. He just wasn't sure how that translated to flapping. Did he have to lean a certain way to get the right angle?
"Come on, Fenton. Bird brains do this every day. It can't be that hard."
He crouched down on the stump, wings arched over himself. Then he leapt into the air. He desperately flapped his wings downward. For a moment it actually worked. Instead of falling, he stayed where he was. Half a second later, the sensation was gone. Danny tilted to the side and hit the ground with a heavy thump.
"Ow."
Someone laughed. Danny shot up in an instant and spun to the source of the noise. A tall woman with red hair and green skin leaned against one of the pavilion's remaining pillars. Danny instantly knew why this part of the park was overgrown.
"You're not the kind of bird I expected to find out here," Poison Ivy said with a faint smile.
"I. Uh, I am really sorry, Ms. Ivy. I didn’t realize this was your park. I'll just..." Danny edged back towards his backpack. Poison Ivy rolled her eyes.
"As long as you don’t hurt the plants, you're fine. Stay away from the red flowers if you like keeping your limbs."
Danny stared at Poison Ivy. "What. Really? You're not gonna murder me for stepping on the grass?"
"Nature is more resilient than you think. If you get too rough, you'll get one warning." She smiled at him. Danny didn't know if that was good or not.
"My friend thinks you're cool," he blurted out when he couldn't think of anything to say. "In junior high she got detention for wearing a Justice for Ivy shirt she made. She's like. Extra-Vegan or something? I don't really get it, but she's really into environmentalism and stuff." The words sounded lame to his ears, so Danny couldn't imagine how dumb he must sound to the supervillain. Her eyebrows raised for a bit, looking a bit surprised, and then her face shifted to a muted frown.
"Well, I'm glad to know there are some children with sense." It looked like she was going to say something else, but her gaze was caught by something in the sky. Now that Danny was listening, he could hear the sound of wings. He wasn’t terribly surprised when Red Hood landed in front of them.
"Two visitors in a day? What a surprise." Ivy didn't smile at Hood, but she didn't seem like she was about to attack him either.
"You're a popular lady," Hood said. "How've you been, Ivy?"
"Just tending to my garden, keeping some rodents on their toes. I'm sure I can find something to keep you busy if you're bored."
Ivy's words were sharp, threatening in a way they hadn’t been when she was talking to Danny. He started to slowly edge his way closer to his backpack. If they were about to fight Danny didn’t want to be anywhere near it.
"Mask's keeping me busy enough, thanks," Red Hood answered. His head moved to keep track of Danny. Shit.
Apparently Ivy noticed it too. She smirked, her posture relaxing. "Oh, I see. Are you starting a little flock of your own?"
"Hell no," Danny sputtered at the same time that Hood said "Cut it, Isley." For some reason that only made Ivy smile more. Were they enemies or friends? Danny couldn't tell what was going on.
"You ought to teach your baby bird how to fly before he gets eaten, Hood."
"Hey! I'm not doing that bad."
"You landed on your face," Poison Ivy, the superpowered ecoterrorist with a doctorate, tattled. Red Hood snorted.
"I was about to offer," he said. "Sorry for trying to be polite."
Danny reached his bag and picked it up, but didn't put it on. Putting it on over his wings without going intangible was a frustrating task, and he wanted to be able to run if he had to. "I can figure it out on my own. I don’t need a babysitter."
"Do I look like a babysitter, kid?" Red Hood drawled. He dropped his hands to his sides with the palms facing Danny, as if to emphasize the twin pistols holstered at his waist. It would be a fair point to anyone whose parents didn’t regularly work on ray guns at the dinner table, Danny supposed. "I just wanna make sure you know how to get out of trouble. If you can't fly, all those things do is make you a bigger target."
Danny glared at him. That blank helmet didn't give away any indication of what Hood was thinking or how honest he was being. If there was anything he'd learned in the last few weeks, it was that good things usually came with a catch.
"For what it's worth," Poison Ivy interjected, "you're safer with Hood around than most other places in this city."
Oh great, the supervillains were teaming up against him.
"Do you offer to tutor all the homeless kids you find, or just the ones that remind you of yourself?" Danny spat. He didn't want some fruit loop in a helmet projecting on him. Poison Ivy burst out laughing like it was the funniest thing she'd ever heard. Red Hood seemed to sigh.
"I do tutor kids, actually," he grumbled. "You should come by the community center on Seventh sometime."
That caught Danny off guard. He had seen that there was a community center there, but he wasn't sure whether it was another place that would hand him back to his parents. If Red Hood was involved with it, maybe they wouldn't. Who cared about catching a runaway kid when the area's murderous gang boss was there?
"Fine," Danny said. "But we're staying here. Uh, if that's okay with you, ma'am." He belatedly looked to Poison Ivy for her approval. Danny might not entirely trust Poison Ivy, but he figured it was better to stay here than to follow Red Hood off somewhere else. Ivy had recovered from her laughing fit. She looked over at Red Hood with narrowed eyes and slightly pursed lips, thinking it over.
"As long as you both behave, you're welcome to stay."
"Thank you, Ms. Ivy."
"I promise not to step on your murder begonias," Red Hood said. Instead of being angry, Ivy just rolled her eyes.
"I'll leave you boys to it." Poison Ivy waved at them as she walked off, the branches of trees closing to block the path off behind her.
"She's a lot less murder happy than I expected," Danny commented when he figured she might be out of hearing range.
"Ivy isn't as scary evil as a lot of media claims," Red Hood said. "She won't hesitate to feed you to her plants if you come out here with a hatchet, though." He shrugged and started taking off his heavy jacket. Now that Danny was looking, he could tell it wasn't a normal jacket that he'd just cut the back out of. It was made with holes for his wings, and the fabric between the lower part of his wings and the bottom of the jacket buttoned together to look a bit like a normal jacket. Red Hood undid all the buttons before pulling the whole thing up off his wings. Danny was a bit jealous. He'd had to cut holes in his clothes, and it was a struggle to get them on right.
"Alright, kid, spread your wings out?"
Hesitantly, Danny did as he was told. He still wasn't used to seeing the limbs stretch out on the edges of his vision. Danny himself had only really gotten a good look at them once. He'd taken a nap in a mall fitting room not long after getting off the bus in Gotham. There he'd been able to take a look at his wings in the store's large mirrors. They were mostly white, with black on the lower edge of the wing. There were black lines higher up in three rows, each progressively more spotty. The pattern was the same on the back as on the front. If not for the fact that they'd gotten him chased out of his home, Danny would almost think they were pretty.
Red Hood circled around him, looking his wings over. Danny didn't know what he was looking for. Other than having wings in the first place, Danny didn't think there was anything unusual about them.
"Okay, first lesson," Red Hood said. "There are different kinds of wings. They're good for different things." He spread out his left wing all the way. "What can you tell about the shape?"
"Uh... other than big?" Danny looked back at his own wing and tried to compare it. What if he thought about them like plane wings? He knew a little bit about how those worked, and there were different types for different jobs."Yours are really long and wide. I know in planes long, skinny wings are better for distance flights, but wider wings have less drag."
"Huh. Good thinking." The gang boss sounded almost impressed. "Yeah, in birds it's something similar. Big rectangular wings are good for long, slow soaring. They've got a lot of surface area so it's easier to take off than if they were skinny. So, what do you see with yours?"
Danny nodded and considered his own wings. Now that he was looking at them, it was obvious they weren't proportioned the same. Danny’s wings were shorter, more rounded than rectangular. He couldn’t think of any planes with round wings like that.
"So mine are, what, less good at soaring?"
"That's one thing," Hood said. "But they're more maneuverable. Think of it like being an acrobat when I'm a marathon runner."
That was neat, Danny had to admit. He liked the idea of doing cool aerial tricks. That would at least make this crappy wing situation a little more bearable. Except...
"I need to get into the air first."
"We're getting to that." Red Hood opened his other wing. "Alright, I'm gonna show you how I take off in slow motion and explain what I'm doing."
Danny wasn't sure how that would work, but he nodded and watched.
"First, I lean over a bit, but not enough to make me unbalanced." Hood did so, and bent his knees a bit. "Then raise up your wings as straight up as you can." Danny watched Hood stretch his wings up, up, taller than any person could stand. "When you do your down-stroke, it's not directly down. Imagine it more like you're trying to make your wings into scoops and push the air down and away." Slowly, carefully, Hood's wings lowered. Like he said, they went more forward than down. The wingtips stretched out in front of Hood, feathers fanned out as wide as they could.
"Okay," Danny said. "I think I can do that."
Danny crouched a bit, then raised his wings straight up above him. It was kind of like stretching an arm, but it moved differently. Then Danny flapped his wings like Red Hood had demonstrated. Instantly he could feel the difference. Air caught under his wings, forcing the rest of his body up. His feet left the ground. It felt amazing. Danny almost cheered, but he realized the one flap wouldn't keep him up for long. Danny's white feathers came up for another stroke.
Instantly he hit resistance. It felt almost like his wing slipped under the air pocket it had been above before. Danny swore as his feet hit the ground and he stumbled to his knees.
"You got some air that time," Red Hood commented helpfully. "Do you know what went wrong?"
"If I knew I wouldn't have done it," Danny snapped. He was suddenly struck by how weird this situation was. A couple months ago Danny's biggest concern was keeping away from Dash when he was near a locker. Now he was getting flying lessons from the Red Hood, of all people. The guy was a crazy gangster who'd decapitated people. He'd killed the Joker. Half of Gotham talked about him like he was a monster.
But then again, Danny thought, maybe that wasn't the whole story. Ivy was supposed to be a monster, too, and she'd just treated him like a normal adult would. Danny's parents had thought...
He shuddered, forcing his thoughts back to the present. Hood was looking at him silently with his head tilted slightly to the side.
"You alright there, fledgling?"
"Would you stop calling me that?" Danny folded his arms and tried to think about how it had felt when he tried to fly. "When I tried to bring my wings up, it felt like I hit a bunch of resistance, and then I slipped."
"You kept your wings wide open when you brought them up for another flap," Hood explained. "You gotta fold the primaries in a little bit, or you'll be fighting against the air above your wing." He stretched out one wing and demonstrated by halfway folding his wing, just the first part with the largest feathers.
Danny groaned. "How do birds make this look so easy?"
Red Hood chuckled. The sound was really ominous with his helmet's weird voice filter. "The birds that don't fly get eaten." For a moment Hood gestured like he was going to say something else, but then he stilled. "Shit."
"Uh. Should I run?"
The Red Hood shook his head. "Sorry, pollito, there's something I gotta go take care of. If you want, I can meet back here in a couple nights for another lesson."
"Why?" The word was out of his mouth before Danny could think. "I don't get why you're so worried about helping me. I'm not even from here."
Instead of making another stupid joke, Red Hood stepped towards him. Danny took half a step back on instinct, and Red Hood stopped. "Look, kid. Danny. I don't care where you're from. The minute you started sleeping on my streets, you became someone I'm here to protect, alright?"
Danny wanted to roll his eyes and make some flippant comment about capes, but he couldn't. There was something real in those words. Some kind of gut feeling told him that Red Hood was being absolutely honest. He didn't know what to do with that.
"Yeah. Okay."
Hood watched him squirm for another moment before he went and picked his jacket off the overgrown picnic table. It took him a minute to slide it back on and do up the buttons on the back. Danny was still kind of jealous of how easy it looked.
"Keep practicing, pollito. I'll be back in two days." He leapt into the air and took one huge wingbeat to clear the trees. Showoff.
Danny watched him go, trying to take note of how Red Hood moved his wings in the air so he could practice it. Then his brain caught up to something.
"What the hell is a pollito?"
I want to ask my followers for something.
I'm actually bringing this back because the person involved has showed themselves to be incredibly rude and immature.
Reminder, for anyone who didn't catch the post (that actually didn't exist for long, lol), that I don't want you to interact with this person. Don't comment, don't harass, don't do anything other than what I ask of you - and that's of course, if you are willing to follow. No judgment if you don't, and I won't know who followed either way.
Also, don't share this. I don't want this getting out of hand. Don't make me feel guilty, ok? I'm just trying to make things right.
Again, DO NOT HARASS THE PERSON I'LL MENTION. Don't comment anything on the video I'll link. Don't try to find them anywhere else. Just do one simple thing I'll ask, if you want to.
I mean it. I'll be checking the video. If I see negative comments on it I'll personally track down whoever made it and report them for harassment, as well as publicly share their username and their rude comments. I'm very serious that I don't want you to harass anyone. Keep quiet about it. Don't harass and don't comment anything. If you harass, I'll make sure you get harassed back.
So the thing is, someone reposted a video from my youtube account. Like straight-up downloaded the video and uploaded it on their account as if it's their own. I asked them, twice, to delete the video.
It looks like they were deleting my comments, even though I can still see them. For context, here's what I asked them the first two times:
Tumblr media
The bottom one is the first one, the top one is the second, I think I posted them with a couple days in between or something. The timestamp says they were two months ago.
After my second comment, they made the video private (I checked), but it looks like some days ago they made it public again. After I found out they made the video public again, I commented with this:
Tumblr media
Which I had to find through my comments history since the video is private again, and not deleted.
Then, on their account, there's another video with similar content, but it looks to be... "original". Only problem is, pretty much all scenes in this video also exist in a sideblog I made, @outofcontextonceuponatime. But I have no proof to ask for anything on that, so I'm just letting it be.
However, because this felt like the only way to contact that person, I commented there. And oh boy.
Tumblr media
That was the first comment thread. I didn't believe them for a moment when they said they don't have their pc available and that they don't know how to delete a video through the app, but I decided to give it a little push. Anyway, the reposted video still exists, just on private. I make another comment, and well.
Tumblr media
I'll let you be the judge here.
And then, this last update of just a few minutes ago:
Tumblr media
So, just to show that person that I'm actually fucking serious and that their behaviour is absolutely deplorable, because yeah how fucking dare I "complain" that someone reposted my video that I put hours of work on, I would like to ask you to go to that second video and dislike it.
DO NOT COMMENT. DO NOT HARASS THAT PERSON. Don't even hit like on my comments, it's not worth it. Just hit the dislike button on the video and close the tab.
Again, this video I'll link here is NOT a repost, (I believe they were directly influenced by my sideblog to make it and didn't credit me but that's not serious enough to do anything about it) the reposted video is (for) now private and that kid over there thinks they can "threaten" me with never deleting it. I will only link the second "original" video for you to dislike, in the hopes of giving them an idea that I am serious and that I have people to back me up.
Again, DON'T HARASS THEM. For all I know a single "haha stupid" comment could send them over the edge, and while they've been incredibly rude, this would be an unfair punishment. I want them to see massive dislikes on their "original" video after people have realized what an obnoxious person they've been, and to be rocked a little and realize that oh shit, I can't act like that on the internet. Just make it a little reminder, you know? I believe getting a lot of dislikes on a video can get that message across without causing any actual damage.
(If you want, I can also let y'all know when the reposted video is deleted, so you can un-dislike the "original" video)
Anyway, here is the link for the video. again, don't harass, don't comment, just hit dislike and leave.
part 1
And Make It Double
Jason wasn't fond of going to the Batcave often. Hell he didn't like going to Wayne Manor at all. It only meant that he had to see the others. Even though he was able to reconcile with everyone, it didn't mean that it wasn't still awkward to interact with them all.
But whatever it was that he found in that alleyway couldn't be ignored. So, instead of heading to the batcave where he has to face everyone, he instead links his comms with Barbara.
"You there Oracle?" His voice, distorted from the voice modulator installed in his helmet called out.
"Oracle here, need something Red Hood?" Her voice called back.
A hint of a smile appeared on his lips, a bit of nostalgia and reminiscence washing over him for a moment.
"I have a bit of a problem here." Jason looked over at the knocked out men, strung together with the mysterious webs.
"Do you need backup?" She questioned.
He shook his head, though she couldn't see it. "No, just a concern if anything. Found a few guys strung together what seemed to be.. Spider webs? I don't fuckin' know."
It went quiet for a moment, Jason looking around, making sure no one was going to jump him.
"Found something." She hummed, earning Jason's attention. "Couldn't find anything spider related in Gotham, but there's a vigilante in New York that goes by Spider-Woman, could be that."
The second Robin's brows furrowed. "The hell is she doing in Gotham?"
"No clue, but reading through the latest news it says that she's been gone for a few months already, after defeating some guy named Green Goblin." Her eyes quickly skimmed through the article.
"Is she trouble?" He questions, his attention being pulled towards one of the men who were beginning to wake up.
"The Daily Bugle says she is.." She trailed. "Though from other sources people are calling her a hero. Lot of mixed opinions about her from New Yorkers. She's done nothing bad though."
Jason only hummed, taking his gun out before hitting the waking criminal in the back of his head with the butt of his gun, knocking the guy out once more.
"No crimes or anything? What about suspicious movements before her disappearance?" He asked further.
Barbara let out a small hum. "Nope. She had been terrorizing a few criminals who all had similar characteristics for some time, but that was in the beginning of her first appearance. And after she defeated the Green Goblin she disappeared after that night."
"Revenge." Jason thought out loud to himself, that was the only conclusion he could come to. "Think she came to Gotham to see if she could find the guy here?"
"Doubt it. It's been a few years already, I'm sure she's over it by now."
Jason also doubted that she was over it, he would know; he was dead set on revenge for seven years. A grimace appeared on his face, seeming to stare into nothingness, remembering how he was before he was barely able to reconcile with Bruce and the others.
"You still there Red Hood?" Barbara called out, breaking him out of his small trance.
"Uh, yeah, sorry, just thinking." He muttered. "Call GCPD over to pick these guys up. They're in one of the alleys on 41st street."
"On it."
Taking out his grappling hook, Jason flew off into the night, still linked with Barbara.
"What do you want to do with Spider-Woman?"
"Lets keep an eye out for her, we still don't know her motives for coming to Gotham." Jason swung from building to building, beginning to feel water droplets fall on his body, the rain of Gotham finally coming for the night.
"Alright, I'll notify the others about her now."
"Sounds good, thanks Oracle." He perched himself on one of the gargoyles that were built on one of the many buildings of Gotham, about to hang up til—
"Hey Jace." Barbara called out softly.
Oh god. Jason already knew what Barbara was going to ask him, it made his throat close up a bit, his heart rate beginning to pick up.
"Ye-ah?"
Of course his voice had to fucking crack.
"Will you be coming to the mansion to celebrate Damian's birthday next week?"
Jason stayed silent for a moment. Of course he was going to go, he had already bought the demon brat's present a few days ago, it was just a matter of gaining the confidence to step foot in Wayne Manor.
"Still there Jason?" She called out.
Crap he took too long.
"Oh, yeah. Yeah I'll– I'll be coming." He cleared his throat, his eyes scanning into the streets of Crime Alley.
"Okay, just double checking." He could hear the smile in her voice. "Everyone'll be excited to see you, don't sweat it." She assured him. "Need anything else before I go back to the others?"
He swallowed hard, trying to retain whatever cool he had left. "No, I'm fine."
"Alright, Oracle out."
Her voice crackled before leaving the line, which left Jason alone with his thoughts.
God he was so not ready for next week
---
The next night, Jason had kept a sharp eye out for this Spider-Woman Barbara had told him about. He'd done a bit of digging himself. He watched a few videos that a few civilians had taken of her. He studied her fighting style, what she looked like.
Of course, he tried to find out who this Spider-Woman was in the first place, but it seemed no one had any clues as to who she was.
It's fine though. It's not like Jason was actively searching as to who she was, he just needed to make sure she stayed out of his way, out of Gotham's business.
Swinging from building to building once more, Jason kept his eyes on the alleys and small streets before deciding to land on the roof of a building. His boots crunched under the gravel when landing, a more softer crunch sounding behind him.
"Todd." The young voice called out.
A voice he knew all too well.
"Demon bird." Jason greeted.
"I am told that you will be making it to the gathering." Damian stood next to his older brother, looking down at the city with him.
"If you mean your birthday party then yeah." The second Robin couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit. "Just not the big one B will be holding. Y'know, still dead and stuff."
The youngest Robin could only suck his teeth. "Not like you were needed there anyways." He muttered.
Jason glanced over at the pre-teen, a small smile on his lips as he brought his hand up to ruffle his hair. He could spot his tough guy act from miles away, he and Damian were two sides of the same coin after all.
"Sorry, someone's gotta keep Gotham safe while all the bats and birds are out partying for the night." He chuckled.
Damian only swatted at Jason's hand, grumbling to himself.
"I do not care if you come or not." He muttered.
Jason couldn't help but smile slightly at this, pulling his hand back.
"Whatever you say."
Damian opened his mouth, ready to make a retort, but he only sucked his teeth once more, his hand going up to his ear.
"Robin present."
There was a brief silence, the young Robin seeming to be listening to what was being said to him. "Understood." He muttered.
"I am needed at a warehouse." He looked up at his older brother who only nodded, seeming looking down at the streets.
"Alright. See you later." Jason's eyes were glued on a woman who seemed to be in a hurry, a few plastic bags hanging from her arms. From afar, he saw a few men stalking her a few feet away.
He began to make his way down to her, standing behind her in the shadows. She didn't seem to have noticed him just yet, seeming distracted with trying to take a picture of the Robin flying above her.
Though as she takes a step back and bumps into his chest, she slowly turned around, taking notice of the vigilante that towered over her.
Jason squinted his eyes behind his helmet as her phone let out a soft click and the flash had gone off.
His helmet scanned her body, a small box popping at the top right, showing him that her heart rate had slightly quickened, not surprising.
"You do know you make a pretty easy target with all those bags you're holding." He spoke, his voice distorted as usual.
"Good thing I was making my way home then." She chuckled nervously.
She had stared at where his eyes were supposed to be, only to then look away, her heart rate rising even more.
"I'll go with you then, unless you want them to take you instead." He nodded his head behind her, making her turn her head and see the men.
Jason took a step into the dim street lighting and stared straight at them, making the men quickly scatter, not wanting to be involved with the infamous Red Hood.
"Oh uh, no that won't be necessary." She let out another nervous laugh. "My apartment isn't that far from here and uh..." She glanced up at the Red Hood before quickly looking away, intimidated by his large build and towering body.
It was quiet, Jason staring her down. He couldn't lie she was acting a bit suspicious, though then again it could be her being frightened since it was Red Hood who was standing in front of her.
"You're not serious are you?" He finally spoke out. "Gotham's filled with criminals, and no offense, I'm sure you're capable of defending yourself, but you're a woman. You're better off with me walking you home." He crossed his arms, shifting his weight onto one leg.
He was right. Although she could handle a few thugs, she didn't bring her web shooters with her this time. If any of them decided to pull a gun on her, it was most likely over.
The secret vigilante stayed quiet, biting the inside of her cheek, trying to think of something else to say, just so she didn't have to interact anymore with the more scarier of vigilantes she's looked up.
"Uh well.." She cleared her throat, looking up at him, trying her best to calm her racing heart, her senses heightening from her anxiety.
She thought hard, looking at the man who stared at her, waiting for a reply from her. Her brain did it's hardest to rack something up, until she remembered all the news she's read about him.
Bingo.
"Wouldn't it be more dangerous if you were to walk with me?" She questioned, giving him an innocent smile.
He tilted his head a bit at this. "Is that so?"
The spider quickly nodded, her smile ever growing a tiny bit more larger at her quick thinking. "If you think about it, if people on the street were to see you walking me to my apartment wouldn't that technically endanger me even more? Since, y'know, you are the big bad Red Hood. I'm sure you have plenty of enemies that want your head."
Her hands moved around a bit as she talked, Jason only watching and listening to her ramble in slight amusement.
"And if they were to see you walking me home then they can only think that I'm some sort of weakness for you, which, I'm really not but hey they don't know." She chuckled, looking up at him.
Her long pause made the air almost seem a bit awkward for her, making her shift a bit. Letting out another laugh, she cleared her throat once more, straightening her posture a bit.
"So.. Thank you, truly. But I think I'll be just fine going home without an escort." She smiled, trying not to squirm under his gaze.
"Alright." He hummed, setting his hands on his waist.
She blinked, looking a bit baffled. "Really?" She sputtered, before quickly changing her expression, the tone of her voice changing as well. "I mean– Of course! It's only right that you—"
"I'll just watch you from the rooftops instead."
"I'm sorry?"
A distorted huff of amusement filled her ears as the two vigilantes stared at each other.
"You're right that me walking you home would only but yourself in more danger, but leaving you to go home by yourself also puts you at risk still, so," Jason grabbed his grapple from his utility belt.
"I'll escort you from afar."
Jason's amusement only rose as he watched the woman open and close her mouth, trying to form words or another excuse as to why he shouldn't do that.
Seeing as how she wasn't able to come up with anything else, a low and short chuckle left his mouth.
"Well lets get going then. The faster you start walking the faster you'll be out of danger." He pointed his grapple at a building, his finger beginning to press the trigger.
"You really don't—" But he was already flying into the air and back into the shadows.
She could only watch in disbelief, staring in the direction that he had flown off to. If she squinted hard enough, she could somewhat see his silhouette perched on a rooftop.
She strained to see him wave a hand at her, most likely motioning her to get back to her apartment. Letting out a small huff of irritation, she began to walk into the direction of her apartment, muttering under her breath.
It was total silence while walking back to her apartment. Although she would spot a few thugs eyeing her from alleys, once they heard the sound of a grapple and a shadow passing over them, they quickly minded their business, as if she wasn't there.
The woman was thankful to say the least, especially since she was able to get herself out of a situation that may have ended up in her having a brawl with the vigilante. Just looking at him made her entire body ache.
Even if that radioactive spider had increased all her senses and strength, she was sure that man could pummel her into the ground without having to do much.
Continuing to walk through the dimly lit streets, she soon made it to her apartment building, relief flooding in her body that she was finally home. Before entering the building, she looked over her shoulder, her eyes scanning the shadows, trying to see if she could spot the Red Hood.
Surprisingly, for a big guy who had a helmet that was completely red, he was good at hiding in the darkness.
Giving up in her search in finding him, she made her way inside, the warm air from the heater engulfing her body once entering.
Off in the distance, Jason watched as the woman made her way inside. With crossed arms, he watched all of the windows of the building, waiting patiently until he noticed one of them had lit up.
Letting out a short hum, he jumped off the roof, grappling to the next one and so forth, continuing his night patrol.
---
Jason quickly put his jacket on, not caring if his hair was still a bit wet. Grabbing his keys he had tossed onto the coffee table, he scooped his helmet into his arms before roughly shoving it onto his head. Slamming the door that led to the garage of his safe house, he pressed a simple button that made it creak and groan as it lifted itself off of the ground.
Getting on his bike, the two wheeler roared to life, the sounds echoing in the garage as he sped out, the doors slamming itself shut once Jason was out. Speeding through the streets, passing by cars at a speed too fast, Jason had hoped that he wouldn't be too late for the brat's formal birthday.
Jason wasn't fond of any of the parties that Bruce either attended or hosted. The room that it was being held in always reeked of tacky perfume and cologne, just like every person there trying to please Bruce.
A bunch of ass kissers that irritated Jason. He was sure Damian thought the same, so he thought making a small appearance would make it slightly better, even if it costed him drowning in old lady perfumes.
When he had made it to the Batcave and tried to sneak his way through the halls of the manor, he had a small run in with his favorite, and only, butler. After a small catch up, and a bit of coaxing from the butler, Jason ended up having to attend the party without his gun.
Taking a deep breath, Jason entered the ballroom having to squeeze his way through a few people in order to make himself comfortable in a corner.
With his back leaning against the wall, he crossed his arms and scanned the room before it landed on Damian; his cheeks were currently being pinched and pulled at by a few elderly ladies.
Jason couldn't help but slightly snort at the scene, amused at how deadly a glare Damian was giving them when they looked away from him.
"Jaybird!"
Jason's smile instantly disappeared at the resounding voice of his older brother. A bright smile on his face, he waved at the second Robin, having grabbed to champagne glasses on his way over to him.
People glanced at Dick, whispering to one another about the eldest, their eyes soon dragging over to Jason who shifted uncomfortably.
Just fucking great.
"I see you were able to make it." Dick grinned, lending out the other glass of alcohol to him. Jason only snatched it from him, letting out a small grumble while taking a small sip.
"And I'm starting to regret it." He grimaced.
The first Robin only chuckled at this, taking his own sip from his glass. "You see Damian yet?" He questioned, eyes staring out into the crowd to find the youngest.
"I was, but then I saw that he was a bit busy so I decided to leave him be." He hummed.
Once finding Damian, Dick couldn't help but snicker a bit now knowing what Jason meant. "He is the star of the show." He mused. "Hey, you don't think—"
BOOM!
"No one make any sudden moves! Or the brat gets it!"
___________________________________________
1st Person POV:
I’ve waited for so long to finally meet the man who inspired me. I've been into his work since I was a teenager and everytime i wasn’t feeling well, his comics made my day better. Also, he’s really pretty and in all the interviews I've seen of him, he looks so cute.
I’m actually spending all my savings just to go to that event and don’t even know how I'm gonna act when I see him, I mean, I will probably laugh like crazy, stutter some compliments or fall unconscious on the floor.
However, I convinced my best friend to go with me, so I won't be so embarrassed, or at least not alone if I do something weird.
- You’re sure you’re ready? - My friend asked me when we’re in the row. - ‘Cause you look like you’re about to explode.
They chuckled and I got a bit more nervous than I already was, the feeling of being that transparent made me uncomfortable.
- I’m fine… - I said, swallowing hard and breathing deeply. - I just don’t know what to say
Looking around, I saw that the line was moving quickly and soon it would be our turn to get an autograph and take a picture.
- To him?
Wasn’t that the most obvious question in the world?
- Yeah, who else?
- I don’t know, I mean, you’ve been obsessed with him since you’re like fifteen, right? - They said it in a normal voice tone, but it seems like they’re screaming, so i immediately turned red - And don’t know what to tell him?
A week ago I started to practice in front of the mirror of my room, trying to imagine possible scenes with Gerard, but I will never never told anyone about it.
- Shut up! -I hit my elbow on their shoulder in desperation and fear that someone had heard, even though he was too far away to hear anything. - I’m not obsessed with him, I admire him a lot. Just that.
- Sure… - The sarcasm made me want to respond, but the cut with the next sentence took my focus away from our conversation. - Look, we’re next
 Even when the person in front of us was taking the photo with Gerard, I looked ahead and I could see him. I swear he looked at me at the same time and my reaction was look away and widen my eyes at my friend
- Holy shit… WHAT SHOULD I SAY?
- Try something like “hi, i'm your fan” - this contrast between us was very strange, on the one hand I was freaking out, but on the other, they was acting as if Gerard Fucking Way was just any guy. - And act normal, please.
In less than a second I felt my body heat up, the closer I got, the more tense I became. I tried unsuccessfully to look into his eyes, but I couldn't maintain my focus for long.
My stomach filled with butterflies when I heard his voice. Even though I've heard it on the radio several times, it's a totally different experience.
- Hey!
It took me a few seconds to try to open my mouth, but my brain stopped working. A short awkward moment that felt like hours was cut away.
- Hi! - My friend, who apparently didn’t see Gerard as a celebrity said. without thinking about what i wanted them to say - They're huge fan of you! Like, they don't stop to talk about you for at least a second
- HEY! - I gasped with fright when they finished speaking -T-that’s not true! I mean, I'm your fan, but it’s not like I’m weird or something.
My scream turned into an almost whisper, which was almost drowned out by the sounds of the environment.
- That's okay. - He said with a chuckle. - You want a picture?
His sweet and inviting look made me want to hug him, and when he extended his arm towards me I couldn't help but blush even more.
- Sure!
He wrapped his arms around my body and my friend took a picture of us. My heart was racing and the smell of coffee that he was emitting wasn’t helping me to calm down.
- So…- He took my comic to sign it, and when he looked at me again, to my surprise, he noticed my Star Wars shirt. - i like your shirt
- Thanks!
-This will probably sound weird, but… are you free after the event?
I gave him a shy smile and heard my friend giggling by my side. I thought that was my imagination, but i blinked twice and had the clue that Gerard Was has a light blush on his face.
It was a little embarrassing when we exchanged glances, but even stranger than that was the question that came next.
He reached out to hand me the comic and I looked him straight in the eyes.
- I-I am… why?
I took the comic and put it in my purse, without breaking eye contact.
- Maybe… if you don’t mind… we could go out for a coffee?
Standing in front of him, I froze. It's not like I don't love the idea, but I know myself well enough to know that I'm definitely going to say something stupid without thinking.
- THEY’RE SUPER IN!
My friend responded before I had the chance. His gaze passed from my friend to me, and his smile grew worried as he seemed to think about the truth of the statement.
- Really? - I asked, still in disbelief that Gerard Way asked me out.
- If you're up for that… - He put his hand behind his neck, looking at the floor and sounding a little more shy than he had moments before. - Look, if you don’t want to…
- Of course I'm in!
I tried hard to keep my posture, but the shine in his eyes hit my heart so hard and I smiled, feeling my face burn again.
- We met at the front door in three hours?
- I’ll be there…
*** time skip ***
After a large amount of people left the place, i finally saw gerard at the door, he was looking around, i assumed that he was looking for me, cause when his eyes meet mine, a tiny smile forms in his lips.
I approached him, avoiding one or another person who appeared on the way.
- You came!
He said, with a relieved sight.
- Yeah! - He opened the door and we started to move to the coffee shop - I mean, It's not often that your idol asks you out, right?
There were few people on the street and the atmosphere was pleasant. Walking next to him was very strange, because at the same time it was something incredible that I had always dreamed of, but on the other hand, it didn't seem real. It was like I was going to wake up at any moment.
- I don’t know… sounds like the perfect one to describe you, in my vision.
- “Idol” is a strong word, don’t you think?
He chuckled a little and I tried not to look like I was fawning over him.
- Why me? - His confused gaze made me explain even more what i was talking about - There were like, a lot of people, why me?
- If you say so…
After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at the coffee shop and, like a gentleman, he opened the door. my heart started to jump in my chest when he chose a table with two seats, facing each other, next to the window.
A friendly girl took our orders and I asked him a question that had been on my mind since the moment Gerard asked me to have coffee with him.
- To be honest… You’re so pretty and looked so nervous, I found it really attractive.
Silver Moon: Twisted Wonderland and it's connection to its moon
“The full moon can amplify existing energies, leading to strong feelings, heightened intuition, and potential impulsivity”
- Google
Hello, all! Rika here! Today I wish to bring something up that I'm sure quite a few of you have noticed but may not have said anything about:
The M🌝🌝N.
Or specifically, the full moon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In each panel, the moon is at its fullest, looking like a big pizza pie that just hit your eye 😏
*ahem*
Here's what else Google tell us about the full moon and what is usually associated with it:
“The full moon can also be a time of friction, polarity, and intense emotional energy. This is because the moon is directly opposite the sun during this phase, which can create a heightened gravitational force. This can lead to magnified experiences and deepened consciousness. Some say that the full moon is a time when the veil between worlds is lifted, and we have greater access to other realms of consciousness.”
Another saying I've heard is that "people tend to act strange when the moon is full". And what do you know, whenever a full moon happens, that leads quickly into an Overblot!
But another interesting thing I've noticed is the eventual change and growth of most of the characters afterwards. They shed their old ways of thinking to become anew and go from there:
“As such, full moons are synonymous withclosure and endings; of cycles, habits, and relationships.”
- New York Post
Okay so maybe the full moon may not be as bad an omen as it comes across, given, how again, everyone seems to get saved, learn, and grow from such a dangerous moment and shed their old ways.
But another thing that caught my eye is that the full moon is constant.
I'll admit that I don't have the full grasp on how Twisted Wonderland's moon cycles work, and I could be reaching here, but what if it's stuck like that intentionally?
If what is being said is true and full moons bring out one's potential abilities to change as well as their heightened emotions, then who's to say it isn't orchestrated?
