Hi. First, I wanted to let you know that you're a huge inspiration to me :)
Second, as a fellow fanartist I wanted to ask: how do you get over the fear of people perceiving your artwork as too unfinished (if you have that fear at all?) How do you tell yourself "okay stop. This is as much as I'm gonna work on this page" and then hit the post button? I have this thing where I start a piece and then never post it cause "it's not completed yet".
Thank you in advance!
Ah thank you:3
Honestly, I just prefer speed over finality. My goal is not to create perfectly beautiful art. My goal is to tell a story. To convey information. To convert my train of thought into something that can be perceived with the eyes.
I can do smooth linework, detailed renderings, correct anatomy and all that. But I don't really need that, as the sketch is enough to convey the story. And it's very quick too~
For me, an artwork is considered complete when it says everything I want to say through it. And sometimes that means making the hands look like two blotches. Simply because for my story, the hands aren't important at that point. I'll draw them well in the moment when I want to tell something through them:)
So, usually I just make sure that the most important elements look clear. The facial expressions, the curves of the cape, the position of the hands, whatever. The things I really want people to see and process. Everything else serves solely as a backdrop.
If people think my work is unfinished, that's their problem. I don't have to adjust to their understanding of "completeness." If they want to see my work "finished" according to their value system, they can finish it themselves and then happily look at its perfection lmao
________
Just as a funny addition and proof of my words.

And still, for me, they are all - finished:)

I just wanted to start off by saying that I absolutely love your art/artstyle! I discovered you through stranger things and have been tuning into your posts ever since! Even if you post about certain shows I've never watched before I still look forward to seeing them because your art just fascinates me!
Anyway, my question for you is: How long does it usually take to finish one drawing with an average amount of detail? I was just curious because it usually takes me about 5 hours to draw just one character so I was wondering how long it takes for you to complete your masterpieces.
Have a nice day :)
as omg thank you sm! this is such a sweet ask 🥹
as for how long i take, i’m either really fast or really slow depending on the amount of detail i’m including, how much creative freedom i have, and how comfortable i am drawing the characters.
this took me an hour and a half.
this took me about 20 hours.
if i were working on a commission with only characters it takes a minimum of 4 hours because i try to make sure everything is precisely as requested.
it’s also to be noted that i’m a hand-drawn animator so i’m probably fast-paced because of that 🫶🏽

Hello!! I saw your post about the game you're making - it sounded fascinating, and out of curiousity about a genre I don't know much about I got into a visual novel/dating sim related rabbit hole.
If you don't mind my asking, do you have any recommendations? VN or datesims or both! or any adjacents too.
(thank you, and good luck with the game!!)
YIPPEE!!!
i'm a huge fan of it gets so lonely here because it does a lot of cool things with the narration and multiple playthroughs. her tears were my light does similar things with the multiple playthrough thing and it was the first visual novel to really open my eyes to what the genre could be like! and because apparently today is horror yuri day i will add liar liar and liar liar 2. the artstyle is very cute! and there's blood!
for less horror yuri and more dating sim, i am currently completely obsessed with tokimeki memorial girls side 1-3, the dating sim/visual novel/stat-raising hybrid that inspired a lot of otome games—— and for good reason, too, because it's JUST THAT GOOD. i almost exploded something trying to play the fourth game but i will not let that stop me
in pure visual novel, i have to recommend heartbaked, it was one of those games i played in my free visual novel frenzy when i was younger and it really stuck with me! i still think about the radley ending.
i adore adore adore pacthesis games and i would love to direct you to my number one favourite and inspiration, number days sim date, because the intertwining of plot and romance and friendship was wonderful. xolga and mr toko is more point and click but check those out too
i love you was REALLY GOOD and i adored it. if you want proactive women and blushing boys this is the game for you! kill them with blushing right now
senpai please look at me was good!!! i love it! absolutely worth sticking around for all the bonuses! very short and sweet and you will love it
sweetest valentine is a game. in a genre called :). if you don't know what :) means don't worry about it!
play yuki 4p for lesbians and its sequel, scheme, for even more dumb lesbians. i am absolutely begging you to click those links because the names are too long for me to type out and i don't know if googling lesbians scheme will bring you to the masterpiece properly
hermes and gry is REALLY FUNNY but also one of those games that opened my mind to how complex the ren'py system could be. you made a map, a constantly-updated journal, an inventory, and the best damn ending ever? i was screaming when all my evil schemes came together. absolutely 10/10 worth it if the creator wants my liver i'd hand it over
hot coffee is SO SO SO good that i ended up reaching out to the creator just to praise it so much please play it please i'm on my knees please
speaking of games i am begging you to play
absolutely play i want to pursue the mean side character and my sweet zombie!!!! tsun is a great artist and the stories are good and you have to have to have to have to play okay!!! tsun is also making i just want to be single which is so so so cool the game of the year every year and it hasn't been released yet and you need to become. a fan okay because aro pride is right now
#thank you anon it really was delightful to hear that you liked my game even before it was released!#i wanted to recommend no-good noelle but. apparently the creator just went offline?? sad#there was also our life beginnings and always which is very acclaimed and i loved the demo#but i haven't finished the full game so i don't want to recommend something i didn't finish#xoxo droplets is also good but it's half free half paid and i was focusing more on free stuff that is underrated#(p)lanets and heartstring bugs are also games i played years ago that i'm fond of#but like in a nostalgia kind of way.#it was absolutely wild to play tokimeki memorial girls side and realize that heartstring bugs was so heavily based off it tho#like it wasn't copying characters or settings but the stat raising and events and clothing system were all drawn from it#special shout out to corrine cross' dead and breakfast which isn't a visual novel or a dating sim#i just like it#i also need to clarify that her tears were my light is not like HORROR horror but like. existential gay nightmare kinda deal

(asking this anon because I’m a bit nervous lol)
Ok so sorry if this has been asked before or if you’ve already explained it but would you be able to explain exactly I guess the appeal of vore? This is coming from a place of genuine curiosity because I think it’s really interesting, and also the different types of it too? I’ve seen a lot of shortened words (like pred, etc) and was curious about those as well :0
P.S. I love your artstyle!!! It’s so cottagecore and cozy, you seem like a lovely person :)
No worries buddy! I’ve got anon for a reason haha so no shame in doing what you’re comfortable with :)
I’ve talked about this a bit before, but I genuinely don’t mind talking about it again! It’s kinda fun to think about actually.
I think the appeal is different for a lot of people, but for me, I mostly see it as a fascinating story trope to mess with. It adds this whole other level of character dynamic and such to mess with that I’m not sure you could really get otherwise you know? You can get extra layers of friendship shenanigans, very sweet romantic interactions, up the stakes for fights between villains and heroes, and other things like that. I think that the threat or option of being eaten, wether by friend or enemy, opens up this whole other side of characters you wouldn’t get to see normally. Just how much do they trust their friends? Would they really be so confident in the face of that sort of danger? How much will someone put themself through just to protect a friend inside of them? Stuff like that.
It’s also fun from a world building perspective! Especially if we’re talking sci-fi or fantasy, since both genres deal with loads of different species and weird tech/magic, and I personally find it hard to believe something along these lines wouldn’t exist as a cultural practice or smugglers’ trick you know? It just adds a cool layer to the world and gives even more options when fleshing out weird otherworldly feeling concepts and I love it.
I also see it as probably one of the most...oh how do I say this without sounding weird...intimate forms of connection that can be formed platonically? Personally, as someone who is both aromantic and asexual, I am not really interested in stuff outside friendship (though vore can absolutely be used in romantic and other situations and I like it a lot in romantic scenarios), but I still very much enjoy the concept of being incredibly close to a friend, so I guess that might have fused with my love of anatomy and formed my current interest in vore. I think it’s a very interesting to think about expressing affection in a “hey man I love you so much I want to put you inside my own being” kind of way. I’m also fairly touch starved in general but at the same time am not a fan of being touched if that makes sense, so the thought of laying inside of someone I trust, completely surrounded by them without feeling like I’m being poked or prodded is very appealing. Plus I don’t know, I think there’s something very beautiful about the body in general. All these internal systems working overtime to keep us alive that we never even get to see... There’s a whole other world inside of each and every person, unique and yet the same, and oh so beautiful. A wonderful machine painstakingly crafted by a master artist piece by delicate piece.
I think this little quote from an essay I wrote on what it means to me to be an artist describes my feelings on the matter the best.
“Most of what I reflect in my art is a really specific idea of beauty I’ve been toying with for years that has to do with hidden aspects of nature not often really looked at or paid attention too. Then I take those overlooked aspects and put my own strong personal emotions into what I create to make something new and unique. I also enjoy exploring interpersonal relationships between unique and complicated characters in my art. “
Okay now on to the less philosophical stuff haha! You asked about shortened words and shared terms and stuff so I’ll do my best to explain a few of the most common ones
Pred is short for predator, and refers to the person doing the eating
Prey is...well, the person being eaten lol
(Full disclosure, I’m not a huge fan of the terms pred and prey, but we don’t really have better words for said roles at the moment either so 🤷🏻)
Soft vore means there’s no biting involved, but the prey could still be killed via digestion
Safe vore means the prey isn’t killed, though there could still be some mild injury
Hard vore includes things like biting and is usually fairly gory
Fatal vore is, well, fatal for the prey. They don’t make it out
G/t vore stands for giant/tiny vore and refers to scenarios with an extreme size difference, like a fairy and a human or human and giant
Half/similar sized vore would be vore between a human and say...another person anywhere from one to three feet. So the prey is a fourth to half the size of the pred
Same size vore is vore between two characters of roughly the same size, though it might be hard to tell with creatures like nagas and such since they’re pretty long
I hope all of these answered your questions, and if you want to know more or even just chat you’re more than welcome to send as many asks as you like! I genuinely don’t mind and am always happy to explain anything you have questions about. Also, I am so flattered you like my art! As an aspiring illustrator that really does mean a lot haha.
Thank you so much for the ask and have a good day/night! :)

Bro Minecraft really walked a thin tight-rope to becoming what it became in Beta. But seeing the evolution of it is genuinely interesting. He had ideas that evolved into interesting ways. Like this is what crafting looked like originally:
Obviously this wouldn't work considering the limitations of then and now. But really think about this system, why it didn't last, and why we have the current one. Left side is the block, it has a limited number of "units" right side is what items it can produce and they each consume some units.
Obviously this won't work. How would you represent block units in your inventory? Are blocks infinite to place now? What happens if you have an odd number of units remaining? Or was the "units" actually individual blocks you'd put in, meaning a stick would take an entire log. Of course I myself am limited in what I know of anything, but these are my considerations.
The evolution then is the modern crafting table, and when you think about it? It's kinda cute/funny in a kinda crude way. Like, it really is funny to forget about Minecraft as we know it, and think at some point Notch's plan was to just slap blocks into a grid to form shapes. "Lazy" isn't the word but it's the closet I can conceive, it doesn't feel professional, it feels kinda "dev" like. And because of that, because it was and still is a unique feature to interact with, it just...worked. Like the puzzle pieces just fit and everything from there made more sense.
Truly think this is the biggest change in the game, like no dur, when they added Crafting to MineCraft was a big change, but the development of this one feature drastically altered the course of this game.
I really enjoy seeing Notch's progress on this game, sure, you gotta separate artist from art, but sometimes you gotta separate artist from person. What really strikes me is his absolute insistence on an artstyle, how open he was to share ideas he had and may never touch again or get added in. Him being against poison and hunger is interesting, because he had a particular vision and feel for the game that those wouldn't benefit meaningfully. He hired an artist to change the artstyle, it got mixed responses but the people against it were Really Really against it, and Notch listened. Thank fuck, because they were right. No offense to that artstyle but my god the game would never take off with it. Ever. The first knock off artstyle of minecraft imo.
I'm rambling again but I thoroughly find the development process for this game fascinating. Even when I first found it as a kid, the blog and everything, it got me further interested in older versions than the beta I was used to. Not for historical purposes but the subtle changes in gameplay that altered the feel of the game. I miss the small but drastic updates from this period. It simply can't happen ever again, nobody is going to be interested in a game where water physics haven't been added yet and be blown away when they are. Worlds becoming infinite won't be incredible anymore. We watched a whole world be born and then capitalism killed it, nothing can really beat that.

Crawls out from the Pit
Alright so after about 2 and half weeks I have finished all 8 seasons, 80 episodes of Ben 10 Omniverse. I’m a little sad to be done but also glad to have my free time back (also if I have to hear that motherFUCKING opening theme again I will actually cry). So it was an experiencing one that was both super enjoyable but also infuriating. Let me break down my thoughts (with some spoilers) under the cut.
Things I liked
- From the very first episode I was, and still am just fascinated by the basic world set up. Ben Tennyson is known across the entire universe as a hero and wielder of the Omnitrix, everyone he meets knows who he is. Coming off series with locked down secret identities Ben’s status as a universal celebrity had both pros and cons and was simply fascinating to watch.
- Aliens are common in his hometown of Bellwood and there’s a thriving populous under the city. Watching aliens and humans interact with awkward moments and periods of adjustment was damn interesting, great world building in there too.
- The Plumbers being intergalactic peace keepers of sorts (again with all the good and bad that come with essentially being space cops) and having a presence on earth and beyond. Ben’s status as being part of the organization but not a true member, one who really answers only to himself was intriguing.
- For all that I nitpick Ben and Rook’s relationship (stilllll not seeing shippers sorry) I loved Rook Blonko as a character, he was delightful. I also did like Ben and Rook’s relationship bc their individual prejudices and problems kept them from becoming actually close and reliant on one another and while it came close at times it never really resolved which I’m okay with.
- Love the time travel shit *chefs kiss* Professor Paradox my beloved. Also I would die for No Watch Ben. And why is Ben 23 so popular? He’s a lil bitch.
- Genuinely did love the cartoony artstyle, I was obsessed with how green Ben’s eyes were. My personal fanon is the Omnitrix has slowly made them green and glowy over the years. Also the flashbacks to 10-11 year old Ben, baby diagnosed. Such a cutie patootie.
- Speaking of which, loved the frequent callbacks to the original series (my first and favorite). OV felt way more connected to that Ben that I first fell in love with than AF or UAF.
- Ben, when his character was executed right, was wonderful. A big hearted teen who has way too much power and responsibility just doing his best. He covers his fear of failure with jokes and a deceptively casual attitude. While he can be lazy and overconfident and doesn’t think things through, he is dedicated to what he does not for fame but to help people and his determination and adaptability always see him through.
Things I Didn’t Like
- So when Ben was done right it was great but my biggest peeve was how they changed his personality, maturity, competency level episode by episode. Sometimes he was capable of complex negotiations, sometimes all he could do was complain and eat junk foods, sometimes he he could sheer climb walls, other times he was pathetically weak without his Omnitrix. Needless to say I was really irked by the dangerously immature & reckless, rude to the point of being mean, willfully idiotic moron version of Ben who didn’t care about anything.
- When I first started someone said the first half of OV was good and the rest was not. They were right, loved S1-4, 5-8 had good episodes but overall was either cringing or rolling my eyes. S5 in particular aggravated me with Ben being at his worst. I was pulling my hair out at Ben yelling about how ugly and monstrous the citizens of Anur Transyl were like Ben... you regularly turn into those aliens.... your whole deal is being able to see from other’s perspectives...
- Just, the lack of taking itself seriously or following through on some damn interesting storylines. Like Ben being put on trial for recreating the universe? And being found guilty not just of that but misusing the Omnitrix??? That’s good shit right there but they waved it all away with some trial by combat bullshit and well back to normal. I know its a cartoon but that episode infuriated me.
- Gwen and Kevin... didn’t care for them much here. Their characters just felt flat and shoved in whenever it was convenient with no real meaningful interactions between the supposedly close trio. They really were thrown under the bus to make room for Rook and the whole Plumbers thing.
- Kai *long groan* Honestly any attempt to address Ben’s love life was so nightmarishly bad. Everyone who says that Ben is Aromatic is absolutely correct. Boy hardly showed any interest in dates and tried to get out of most of them and yet he was ‘destined’ to be with a girl who was shown only to care about his transformations and not him? And that he didn’t really respect back? Hell no.
- Most of the villains were kinda Meh. Maltruant was cool but underused, we hardly got ANYTHING interesting out of the series big bad Vilgax, Albedo was... still don’t know what to think of him. Malware was cool tho, the whole Feedback thing was painful.
So overall the good outweighs the bad but I liked it far more at the beginning than I did the end. I’ll rewatch some of my favorites but probably won’t do a full binge again. Still, I love the idea of this particular universe and really did enjoy most of my watch!

Which ability is not the story's emphasis
I think that high risk mission therapy manga by Mizukami Satoshi is very exceptional. So I would love to convince you to enter the interesting tale with this evaluation.
Story: 8/10 The tale follows Fuuta Okeya, A - 14-year old youngster that are able to see spirits. Which ability is not the story's emphasis. Not as well as to attempt ruin a great deal of, why the woman really wishes to ruin him bad his experience having a little lady who simply relocated his neighborhood might assist him right into reliving his previous lives, to understand. I encountered the idea stimulating and very unique. After every previous life, it isn't such as the personality comes to be at stopping: the real characters of the account are of yesteryear lifes of Fuuta, or obtains a brand new capability, but on later on. But reading Spirit Circle is not only regarding these previous lives: there is an overarching piece, with absolutely bonkers effects like only Mizukami Satoshi might think of (allow's keep in mind, he is the primary one that took into consideration a cookie kind that will certainly wreck the world.) And the woman who would like to damage him as well as also diving better within the secret of the link in between Fuuta, Kouko, is absolutely effective and fascinating.
Art: 7/10 Though this truly is a artstyle that works quite possibly for experiences and also words generally, as well as appears truly unique, the actual weakness is based upon the back ground, who all of the period, are universal, or simply like depth. If you need your manga to become only eyecandy, like Berserk or Mistake, this will certainly not be one for you.
Characters: 8/10 The mangairo smoothness design is fairly repetitive, given that a number of the numbers with which Fuuta as well as Joujo communicates, also within their extra way of livings, have the experience of everybody they understand (meaning they're not the only one reincarnating). But these personalities each have an additional goal, a varied personnality. Like he does in our in all of his previous lives, Fuuta regularly does not act, and he did some really dreadful things in specific lives, in fact. Watching his house that is existing included that's interesting to problems. Kouko can likewise be an exceptional character, also when her previous lives are mostly observed via the eyes of Fuuta. She's too expanded because respect as Fuuta, and also for trying to eliminate Fuuta her motives will additionally be clear.
Regrettably, the remainder of the cast, like the buddies of Fuuta, are not really amazing in our. The sole problems are for East as well as Rune, tones that come with Fuuta as well as Kouko in our, yet sadly they do a substantial component that is missing prior to the end-of the manga. It would certainly have already been good to establish a little more character interaction.
Complete: 8/10
This manga is kinda suit for anyone who often review manga online. It is just a persuasive manga that'll cause you to think about reincarnation afterlife, and responsability. Is it feasible to be delegated actually an awful point you did in a previous life? The author takes us on the trip through time to find the worth of the human heart, and eventually, the value of who we are. I hope you appreciate it as i am. Have a nice day!
