I know that was a shitpost for the latest Danny Phantom fandom meme, but I'm genuinely impressed and how authentic it sounds. How much of Dash's monologue is real advice, and how do you know all of that? Do you work out?

Yes I'm so sorry to inform my good people of Tumblr that I've secretly been a part of the gym fandom for all this time. I've only recently come out as a gymbro in this phandom via my creation of the current dp gym bro au meme that I've forced upon everyone in this good holy christian space. I mix whey protein into my overnight oats, I track my macros, and I have a closet full of Gym Girlie Outfits™️.

And just know it's a badge of honor that I carry to be able to say I've converted multiple members of the Danny Phantom phandom into regular gym goers as well 💪

#all jokes aside i grew up in a very athletic family #where talking about things like gym routines and protein tracking was very normal #i worked as a tennis coach for a few years before i was injured (by my own hubris) and was forced to quit #i've been rebuilding my body basically from like the ground floor since the injury #and while at first it was frustrating cuz i had to learn how to do things i'd always been able to do before #(and yes i did cry on my yoga mat more than one time in the beginning)#now i'm learning to have fun with it!#im still very weak compared to where i once was #and it doesn't help that i was set back by other injuries that came from not taking care of myself like a bad knee #but slowlyyyy i'm getting there #i once thought i'd never be able to do an unassisted pull up again #and now i can see it within my reach!#very exciting #i love love loveeeee being strong #Also yes it's real advice to train the 'minor' muscles #for example a lot of lower back pain comes from a weak glute medius #ppl be focusing on the glute max cuz it's the big one and forget about the other glutes #compound exercises are a great way to hit multiple muscles at once

Casual reminder from an adoptee who's been loved by and cared for by adoptive parents since birth:

If they aren't willing to act like family to you, they're not family to you.

I think a lot of people forget that. You, likely biospawn (not adopted), still have a choice- lots of choices, actually- in the matter, and no one has an immutable right to stay in your life. If the relationship is not equal, you have no obligation to continue to serve them well. Though everyone deserves love and care, it does not have to come from you.

The goal is to have folks who want- not just tolerate having to, but WANT- to give you love and care that is fulfilling to you and who see your own love and care towards them as fulfilling. Both of these; never one without the other. And there are a whole lot of different ways that can happen, but it does happen.

#max says things tag #also this applies to more regions than just family of course #also for the record i am not advocating for dropping everyone no warning if you're unsatisfied with your whole life. chances are some of #all that can be salvaged and you communicating your needs and making it clear that you want to know others' needs is huuuge.#i'm still working on communication. i try to convey to friends that i don't want hostages i want to offer comfort and enjoyment #and my own needs. i take care of myself but loved ones want to know if they can help you! going to be so honest I don't really know I haven't actually done any weightlifting since like highschool

I know I can bridal carry someone who's about 200 pounds and I can lift my friend who's about 260 off of the ground when I bear hug her

#The only max I remember from highschool was that my deadlift was 220 but honestly I think I could probably still do that now even though I #haven't lifted in forever #testosterone my beloved #Plus I also frequently carry 50 pound boxes of frozen meat around at work #Plus I'm the only one who can lift the full kegs by myself and those are about 160 pounds #I can pick those up and stack them on top of each other

#there's a flood coming to my city 😬#the wave is supposed to hit tomorrow at night #i'm a bit worried?#they say it's gonna be similae to 1997 #which is. not good.#everyone at work was panicking which did not help #they said the water is almost sold out in shops #and i couldn't go to the shop to buy it because i was. at work.#so i messaged my dad and he bought some for me and he'll drive over to bring it to me #his town doesn't have a big river so you can still buy water there lmao #i asked him to buy me some non perishable food like rice crackers while he was at it too #and now i'm scared that he and my mom will buy out the entire shop and i'll have to eat those things for months 😬#they can be like that sometimes haha #yeah they most definitely will bring over the whole car full of food what do i do 😭#anyway my main concern is the lack of electricity because the stupid stove in this flat doesn't use gas ;_;#gotta charge the powerbanks 💪#people are also worried that we'll go to work tomorrow and then it'll turn out the road is flooded and we'll have to stay at work overnight #lmaoooo why won't the company just give everyone the week off?? unique greetings?? hello??

the romance-specific greeting only seemed to trigger once I entered act 3, despite jantar having gone through the dance cutscene fairly early into act 2.

the regular high friendship one is a greeting I've gotten before in corydalis' save, as well as "always good to talk, my friend," but both lines of dialogue randomly disappeared at some point, and wyll only greeted corydalis with "well met." well, up until today, I guess.

I have to wonder if these will once again randomly disappear because they are clearly bugged and larian just won't fix them once and for all...

...please...stop doing this to the gate's most beautiful little prince...

okay I'm not expecting anyone to care all that much, but I was looking at the prompts for the 18th Day of Gift-Giving for my Olli/Allu fic advent calendar and I'm between two options on what to do with them, so if anyone out there wants to put in their two cents...

#on one hand i'd like to write a standalone with a storyline of its own #because that way i could probably manage to write a better story #on the other hand i kinda feel like i should focus on the main plot after all the standalones i've posted this week #but if i stick to the main plot my options would be more limited 🤔#because i don't feel like making either of them have a random headache/migrain or some kinda personal crisis #just for the sake of the prompt #i know there's barely any plot to begin with but i still don't want to make it too scattered 😅#i have an idea that would work alright for the main story and it would probably turn out cute enough #but some of the other prompts that wouldn't really work for the main story are soooooooo tempting #and i mean. at least 4 or 5 of the stories for next week will be related to the main plot #plus the stories for the 16th and the 17th #so there'd still be plenty for that too!#i'm probably gonna make my own decision regardless of the voting result but i'd like to hear from you anyway #i've never made a poll before and i'm kinda nervous about this lol i really am expecting this to get maybe 3 votes max 🤡#i hate how the title is so huge pls don't be annoyed with me i'm sorry for existing i promise i'll never make a post ever again 😭#not putting this in any tags. you see this if you see this
