Something about the fact that these shots are all grouped together, one after another, visually giving them equal weight just gets me. The narrative knows what's going to happen between JGY and Huaisang at this point, knows how it's going to treat JGY at the end of everything. And it still takes time to show Meng Yao instinctively and immediately going in front of Huaisang and Huaisang instinctively and immediately hiding behind him. It takes the time--literally, showed it in the background and focused on it with the same general amount of time as the other shots--to show that this act of protection and trust are just as real and true as Jiang Cheng defending his sister, as Wen Qing defending her younger brother.

Like, I dunno! There are other Nie juniors there! They have swords and shit! Huaisang could have gone and hid behind the wall, but he hid behind Meng Yao! And Meng Yao could have moved back with Huaisang, but he steps directly in front of him!

There's a lot CQL did to JGY's character and narrative that I don't like and that flatten or just straight up erase his full complexity. But I really appreciate the lengths that it went to in Episode 4 to explicitly tell us that he does not hesitate to protect Huaisang, even though at this point he does not have a sword and definitely does not have anywhere near the same cultivation power (if any) as any of the rest of the people in the room.

Right now, after being publicly humiliated, unarmed and definitely outclassed, he is brave. Along with the rest of the characters, he's allowed to be uncomplicatedly young and loyal and just as innocent as any of the other students there.

So, 11 bookings are, allegedly, the sponsored videos from December 2023 till July 2024 (included).

the 1st post-hiatus sponsorship was of the Roblox video posted on November 4, 2023; it was a single video with a Dragon City sponsorship. the next video sponsored by them was posted on December 1, 2023, and it went in a pack of 3 sponsored videos in a row. After that, Dragon City was sponsoring only 2 videos in a row, never single videos again. In July 2024, there were 2 videos sponsored and posted on July 12 and 14, respectively.

The LinkedIn posts went up on July 22, 2024. From December 1, 2023 till July 14, 2024 there are 11 videos sponsored by Dragon City.

The next Dragon City sponsorships were on September 20 and 22, 2024.

That's why I think Adrian counts only from December 2023. dnpg appeared on Audiencly's website after June 2024 (probably also in July, but idk how to confirm it).

when I found the val poll, husk was already in the lead

there was a short period of time where it was fluctuating between a husk or val lead in the val poll, the highest val got to was 50.5%

val went through multiple rounds of reblogs calling to vote val as well as essays arguing in his favour but still lost

there was never a point in time where vox was losing in his poll

I did not ever reblog with any propaganda or called for anyone to vote vox in the vox poll

the velvette poll started with velvette in the lead, then progressed to a period of time in which husk was in the lead, velvette then retook the lead after a couple reblogs with propaganda

the val poll has the most reblogs at 76 compared to vox (15) and velvette (20)

the velvette poll has around 150-170 less votes than the other two

I started the vox and velvette polls in an attempt to see if there was any bias involved in the voting for the val poll, made for an interesting social experiment

Hey so I finally finished Part 2 of Dragons Rising, and Kai and Wyldfyre are so special to me.

I swear, if I was in Kai's shoes in ep 13, I would've killed her. He's SO unbelievably patient, and I find it funny how a few episodes later he says that no one has ever called him patient before. Like, you're doing better than I would! Nya DEFINITELY would've strangled Wyldfyre after she nearly got them killed the first time. But just, the fact that he's willing to be so patient with her because he sees a little bit of himself in her, OUGH.

And the turning point in their relationship being him showing her how he coped post Seabound, I'm going crazy and this show is the cause.

Them bonding through arson.

AND in the last episode how Kai seeks VENGEANCE after she gets sucked into one of the mergequakes, which then leads HIM to getting sucked in. How he's the only og ninja to get sucked in because of that. Do you think they were trying to find each other in there? They did come out at nearly the same time, and for Riyu it took a little bit longer. And then how once they're out Wyldfyre just fucking TACKLES him into a hug. :'))) I AM UNWELL OVER THE FIRE LEGO PEOPLE!!!

My favorite father daughter duo is now them. You can pry them from my cold dead hands.

It's snake weighing day this morning! Keep reading to see all the babies!

A little context on these cuties.

They were found abandoned in an apartment, and we're pretty confident they were a breeding setup. Because they're adopted, we don't know all of their morphs, so if you recognize any please let us know!

First up is Cali.

Yes. She is a spider morph. If you're unfamiliar with them, they are (as far as we're concerned) an unethical morph because they are prone (by which I mean I have never heard of one without) to a nervous system condition known as wobbles. This can present in varying degrees of severity, and is often very stressful for the animal. If you want to get a ball python, and the breeder you're looking at offers spider morphs, please do not support them.

That being said, we're monitoring her closely to see how severe her wobble is, as she has already shown that she has one. She is a beautiful snake and if her quality of life isn't too bad, we'll be keeping her around, but if she's unable to live well we have already made the decision to not let her suffer.

At this time, she is not showing severe symptoms, and I'm hoping she will be able to spend many years with us.

She weighed in at 1242g and is roughly 47 inches long.

Next is Ato! She weighed in at 778g and is roughly 33 inches long. She's our shortest!

After her, we have Hym! Our only new male, he weighs 1498g and is roughly 48 inches long. A big guy!

After Hym is Terp! She weighed in at 1126g and is about 40 inches long. Terp has a bump on her snoot that the vet believes is akin to a callus, but we're going to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't grow.

Pom is next! She's our littlest, but not shortest!, weighing in at 621g and measuring around 40 inches.

And last but not least is Nia! Our biggest new addition, she weighs a nice 1530g and is around 48 inches in length! She had the biggest poo I've ever seen this morning and was scooty because of it, so she was a little hard to measure and she may or may not be longer than 48.

Nia has a stubby little tail, and we're hoping she's just ~like that~, but we're gonna make sure we keep an eye out for potential stuck shed issues because of it.

We're pretty confident Nia is a high melanin morph, but we could be wrong!

So them's the girls (and Hym)!!

My Priorities For Creative Projects

Something is better than nothing - creating something flawed is better than giving up, or hiding what I create

Transparency is better than seeming completeness - making it clear what a project ISN'T, and WHERE a project is flawed, is better than trying to hide the holes

Working with my energy is better than fighting it - if I'm doing a huge project, working on the parts that keep me invested in the project is better than completing it in the order most convenient for others or most 'logical'

Mistakes are inevitable - it's necessary for me to accept that I, as a single person with ADHD, am going to misspell things, duplicate and erase small pieces of data, organize things wrong, etc. I can only minimize, not prevent, this

I WILL succumb to feature creep, but I need to be choosy - things I create grow, no matter how hard I try to stop them. I will eventually abandon them if I ignore ALL the things it's bothering me to leave out. Developing the maturity to recognize which things that I want to add are the most valuable is an essential part of project management for me

I WILL have parts that I don't care about, and that's part of transparency for me - acknowledging that I can't put the same effort into Steph as I can the other Bats is going to be more effective than trying to force myself to read Batgirl (2009) for the 12th time. It sucks, but I need to accept how I work

Other people can do it better, and maybe I'll inspire them to - rather than trying to be the best, I get excited by the thought of other people surpassing my work. Then I get the work I want, without having to do it! By putting my stuff out there, I make people aware of a gap they might not have recognized before. (Hey, it worked with Wayne Manor floor plans!)

I think some fans get too attached their fluffy headcanons in the space between these games. You should know by now this world is blighted and corrupted and that peace and stability is so fragile every decade or so something happens to break it. Every attempt to save Thedas is only going to half-work until the Blight is solved. All our heroes have been doing is putting off the inevitable.

What our heroes do is not save the world, but give it a chance.
