i feel like the theme of loneliness with adjudicator shrue has always been one of the strongest parts of their character. like, in the very first episode they appear in, not only are their campaign managers killed, but the saints that attack them are called love-saints. it's almost like the narrative itself is taunting them about just how unloved and alone they are.

then, in s3, they're consistently mocked and shunned by their colleagues, and they have an entire thing about being uncertain whether they actually have a family or not. if the idea of a loving wife and children was merely placed into their head, because in truth, they're still completely alone.

Ford was so on edge, like he was pacing and all tense and then Stanley touched his shoulder. And like immediately Ford relaxes, his posture loses some of the stiffness it had. He stopped pacing, and just let's Stan touch him.

Even when he's losing his fucking mind, hasn't slept in God knows how long, and he's mad at his brother, Stanford still finds comfort in Stanley. Even after everything and all the hurt and miscommunication between them, Stanford still essentially trusts his brother when it really counts. Stan gives Ford comfort and the feeling of safety with just a gentle hand on the shoulder and a concerned "Easy there, let's talk this through." That's all it takes to get Ford to stop everything.

Fuck these two I hate (affectionate) them so much 😭

Jhariah's music is so raw and powerful and desperate; there's truly nothing else like it, and it's so so perfect for 24. I'm so excited to draw to more Jhariah in the future >:3 but for now, take my absolute insanity about 24 and how he views himself and Xisuma :-) <in pain

So I was getting lost in a Merlin Wiki rabbit hole, as one does, and I stumbled across the page for spells. And turns out the writers actually put a lot more thought into it than I initially thought (they're not actually just shouting random words in Old English). But what shocked me the most was learning what Merlin was actually saying to Arthur while he was unconcious in the Poisoned Calice episode. I always thought he was trying to enchant some sort of protection spell to keep Arthur safe while he couldn't be there for him. But turns out he was actually declaring poetry, POETRY to Arthur the whole time!

That's right, Merlin was declaring actual POETRY to Arthur on his deathbed!! I kept seeing the wiki mention verses from a book called Beowulf and I got curious so after a quick Google search, I found out that it's actually one of the most famous epic poems in Old English and I just lost it!! I never thought this episode could get any gayer...
