Firstly, this would have to be something that is just completely out of the question for him to attend. If it would be even slightly possible for him to go with you then he would, no questions asked.

(I'm now imagining a scene where your best friend who belongs to another powerful house outside of King's Landing asks you for help because they're expecting their first child. So you go to them and help them and support them during the birth... and Aegon came too of course. Your poor friend's husband had absolutely no idea what to do with himself. His wife was giving birth and the king was... in his living room??)

Anyway, point is that it would have to be something that he physically could not go to (and also something he couldnt just wait outside for, because he would do that too). I think the only real thing that could keep him back would be if it were safer for you for him to not be there? Like maybe you travel to one of the other kingdoms to negotiate with a powerful family you need to strengthen relationships with but they absolutely hate Targaryens. You're on good terms with them so you're by the best bet and Aegon knows if the family gets a whiff of him anywhere near they could become hostile and dangerous to you so he stays away.

He may have agreed to do that willingly but he's most certainly not going to take the weeks without you with any amount of grace. He will absolutely insufferable for that period of time and there's nothing anyone can do to change that.

Aegon knew he relied on you most, knew that in truth you made of the big decisions for the kingdom because he always consults you and always follows any advice you may give him. He also knew he was clingy, of course he knew. He followed you everywhere, always taking your hand and pouting if you have to be separate.

But despite knowing that, he's still shocked to realise how much he misses you? The first day after you left he got into a disagreement with someone on his small council that ended with him calling the person a cunt and ending the meeting early. The moment the left the room he immediately thought about how he wants to tell you about this that night, and then he realised you werent there. You wouldn't be with him that night. He couldnt tell you what happened.

Instances like those occur every day. He catches himself looking for you in every room he enters in the castle, and getting confused when you don't arrive for dinner and even more confused when you don't come to bed. No matter how many times he reminds himself that you arent there, he still constantly looks for you, like his body can't accept that you're not in the castle.

When you do finally arrive back the entire kingdom rejoices.

You don't even get to greet anyone before Aegon is just flinging himself in your arms and gripping you so hard he tears the fabric of your sleeve. He grips your hand extra tight as you walk back to your chambers.

You try to tell him that you have to update him and the small council on what you accomplished with the negotiations but Aegon is having none of it. He asks you if anything you did might cause an all out war in the next three days and when you say no, then he just says everything can wait then and drags you off to your shared quarters.

You expect him to be desperate and needy and very very horny, and while you are write about the first two you're actually wrong about the last one. Well, at least at first.

Once you've caught up and he's gotten to have a little nap in your arms then he'll wake up extremely horny but before that, he's mostly just desperate for your time and your attention? He wants to hear everything that happened and to tell you what happened with him, to make sure you're both caught up in each other's lives. And then he wants to lay in your arms until he can finally accept that you are indeed back.

So yeah, no one sees you for three days.

The PL600 is a common model that Connor is used to seeing around New Jericho. Many of them share similar faces, so he doesn't think much of it when he sees a particular face in the crowd. Or at least, he tries to not think about it too much when deep-set blue eyes on a pale face topped with blonde glance over as he passes by.

The problem is whenever he has to speak with Simon.

After the hell they went through with the Jericho raid and the lives lost during their peaceful demonstration, the leaders of Jericho have become closer than ever. They still have their differences, but they rely and trust each other above all else. After Connor deviated the androids at Cyberlife Tower, Markus insisted that he be included at their leadership meetings. He had proven his loyalty to their cause and he provides valuable insights as Cyberlife's most advanced android. Connor now interacts with Jericho leadership frequently. Very frequently.

Markus is the easiest to get along with. He has a magnetic personality that fosters closeness. North teases Connor for being so buttoned up, but their shared penchant for aggressive solutions made North warm up to him quickly. Josh took the longest to lower his guard, but eventually he learned to appreciate Connor's skill in diplomatic negotiation.

And then there's Simon. Simon is risk-averse, so he regarded Connor cautiously at first. However, Simon trusts Markus, and if Markus trusts Connor then Simon was willing to do the same. Simon accepted Connor into the leadership team rather quickly, but Connor has a hard time reciprocating the friendliness.

It's easy during a meeting to ignore the resemblance. Simon's voice isn't an exact match, so Connor is able to focus on that as he makes a point of not making eye contact with him as he speaks. When it's just the two of them, it's a little harder to not remember, but it gets easier as time passes. After all, they were two different people. It isn't rational to associate the two even if they share the same face. So Connor is eventually able to look Simon in the face and not think of someone else.

Then one particular day, North enlists Connor's help to prank Simon. Things at Jericho have slowed down and North insists they need to remind people to stay on their toes and not become complacent. So with only a bit more prodding, Connor agrees. And moments later, Simon is standing in front of Connor absolutely drenched. The blonde blinks as he peers up to see North with a now empty bucket in hand.

"You should really pay more attention to your surroundings, Simon! What if we were under attack?" North calls down teasingly.

Simon rolls his eyes before flipping her off which earns him her cackles as she leaves from view to go down the stairs.

Simon's accusing eyes pivot to Connor. "You don't look surprised. Did North put you up to this?"

"She made a compelling argument."

Simon gives an exaggerated sigh. "You said you had something important to discuss, but it was all a ruse. I trusted you." His face becomes a mask of mock betrayal as he locks eyes with Connor. "You lied to me, Connor. You lied to me."

And with those exact words, Connor was back on the rooftop terrace. Bright lights and a cold wind. A deviant on his knees. Exposed android chassis and blue blood. "You lied to me, Connor. You lied to me."

"Connor?"

His eyelids flutter as his vision swivels to the source of the voice.

"Are you okay?"

Pale blue eyes.

"I'm sorry."

Simon freezes at the apology. Connor's LED is flashing yellow. His eyes are distant like he's somewhere else. His voice so quiet.

"It's okay, Connor. It's just water. I was just teasing."

"Is Simon giving you a hard time, Connor?" North asks with a smirk as she approaches them, a haughty swagger to her step. But she stops and frowns when she notices something feels off.

Connor's gaze shifts to North and he blinks twice more before he realizes what's happened. Swiftly returning to his usual demeanor he responds, "Simon scolded me appropriately. I'll find him a towel."

He pivots, but Simon's voice stops him. "Connor, wait. Are you sure everything is okay?'

Connor doesn't turn around. "Of course."

He's lying, but it's not Simon's fault he had reacted that way. Connor thought he had gotten past this, but it seems being deviant came with unpredictable behavior. Behavior he would need to sort out by himself.

Simon exchanges a glance with North. They don't say anything as they both look back at Connor's retreating form.

This wasn't the first time Simon has noticed Connor avoiding or acting strange around him. He has suspicions about why this might be, and it seems that Connor still had some unresolved hang-ups. Hang-ups Simon is sure that he and Connor could sort out together.

I've been into internet culture since I was like 10 and I dont think I've seen a fandom come even CLOSE to the Hellaverse fandom if we're talking about how bad it is

Was in the Super Smash Bros fandom back in 2020 - 2021 and that was extremely toxic (Lots of fighting, harassing the creator for small things and had a pedophile problem)

Then in 2021 - 2023 i was into Friday Night Funkin. I quit that because harassment, bullying, death threats, and even rape threats and doxx threats all because I liked this one mod. And (supposingly) I heard this fandom bullied somebody into suicide.

But Hellaverse? It's way worse. It's these 2 fandoms combined. This fandom goes apeshit if you even ask a QUESTION about the shows or Viv, and their racist, transphobic and pretty much every form of discrimination :/

But seriously, I dont know why Hellaverse is like that but its so horrifying. With what happened to Shay and that Charlastor fan, Im horrified for what this fandom could do next. An actual murder breaking out? Wouldnt be surprised :/

Hard same here, Anon, I've been on the internet for quite some time and I can confirm, without any shadows of a doubt, that the Viv fandom is the most batshit insane and unhinged fandom I've ever seen in my entire life, also, calling it a cult is more than appropriate because it fits the criteria for one, like I'll be showing underneath.

Reasoning behind the check marks:

The Viv stans always see Viv as the "peak" and unquestionable.

Pretty self-explanatory, given how Viv and her standom are terminally allergic to criticism whatsoever, even down to basic world-building questions.

This one is tricky, but the fact that Viv keeps dropping merch sales almost the very second an episode drops and the fact that Viv never is transparent about where the merch money is going exactly exemplifies how Viv never discloses about it.

This one involves the stans blaming the critical / anti community whenever something no ideal happens to Helluva / Hazbin or Viv gets exposed once again as a monster to the whole internet.

The stans actually have made it pretty clear that they don't actually know why the Viv fandom is actively hemorrhaging members, blaming the critical / anti community for it, while the very same stans have harassed countless ex fans into silence and eventually forcing them to leave the cult fandom.

The Shay / Charlastor incidents and how the standom pulled that under the rug, and how Vivziepop refuses to step in about it.

The vast amount of evidence against Vivziepop and Spindlehorse, that keeps piling up to this very day.

(actually 9.) The stans never question Viv at all, and they either work as their attack dogs or yes men.

(10.) Viv always makes sure to feed her unhinged attack dogs through liking / retweeting their post, and the stan proudly proclaims that Viv has noticed and validated them.

Step One: Kate signed the Remembrance Sunday card for the last few years. Reason tells us she would sign the card again this year. But she didn't. Why didn't she?

Step Two: Given Kate's extraordinary attention to detail, not signing the card isn't something she'd forget about. Plus it's a signature. Takes two seconds to do. So this feels like a kind of intentional omission.

Step Three: Was it intentional in a 'we haven't spent much time together' kind of way?

Step Four: Was it intentional in a 'whoops it's not protocol for me to sign it so I won't sign it' kind of way?

Step Five: Was it intentional in a 'why didn't Jason bring jeans for Jason' kind of way? (I.e., Kate has left it to William to be responsible for William's shit and her not signing the card is because he didn't think to have her do it.)

Step Six: Maybe it wasn't intentional, maybe it was just an oversight they forgot about with everything else going on in their lives right now.

hi, im sorry if this sounds stupid but like. how do you get your brain to switch from academia to fanfic. like when im done with my lab reports and finally have time to write i feel like a textbook mimicking human speech

hey anon! none of this is stupid at all, please don't feel bad for asking a question :)

i think i should preface by saying, I wasn't a girl in STEM. I'm an English lit girlie, so often my academic work got me thinking about stories, which made me want to write stories, and thinking about D&D which made BG3 the perfect outlet! I couldn't write a paper titled 'D&D vampires are weird, huh?' but I could write stories around those themes. So sometimes my fic just became a place for me to explore the stuff that interested me but had no place in my professional work, which obviously made it easy to generate ideas and content.

but I have my advice under the cut! (bc this accidentally became a long post lol).

what advice I can give, however, is advice that was given to me by another friend, who is also a PhD student. She said (in quite a clinical way, but that's the kind of person she is) that she saw her fic and her writing as 'building mastery' - which was something she'd learned in therapy. the idea that practising something and working at it makes you better at it but also makes you feel better about yourself, because you can find enjoyment in the hobby and see improvements in your work. she wrote fic, to see a progress and a learning curve she didn't see in academia.

Idk what STEM is like, but often my experience in academia left me feeling stupid or inadequate. everything I wrote there mattered, and it didn't always bring me joy. I actually started writing fic, because I had just finished my PhD funding applications, and after sinking 100+ hours into something that made me miserable, I just wanted to write words that were fun for a change.

it doesn't always feel like it, of course, but fic doesn't matter. it should be fun. it can be silly, it doesn't have to fit a wordcount, it can be whatever you want it to be and it's never getting assessed at the end. and - unlike academia - typically it only receives positive feedback. so I write fic, bc it doesn't make me feel like shit, even when academia does. it's a different ballgame, and it has a much lower stakes, and more forgiving relative curve. i like it, becuase i switch my brain off, and get to have fun and play around in a way i don't in acadeimia.

so I guess my advice for this particular question - other than "please rest", bc like the last person who asked me about this you sound a wee bit burned out beloved - is.... it's literally fine, if you sound like a human textbook. forget the words and how they're coming to you as you write them - are you having fun with the idea? do you like the positive feeling of writing them, and the positive feedback you get either from yourself or others? that's how i switch from academia into fic mode. I find something that i actually find recreationally enjoyable (lol, academia).

let go of all expectations, and just follow the story or plot noodle that itches the happy parts of your brain. don't let it be about quality at all.

and, in case I've misunderstood the question and this is actually more an issue of stylistics - my fic got wordier as a result of my academia. even worse, my ACADEMIA got wordier as a result of my fic!!! (when the adverb curse follows you into your day job lmao). I don't think there's any way to prevent crossing the streams. But you can be sillier in fic, so add some jokes! make the stupid reference! let everyone be a little less formal!

and, if all else fails, get a second pair of eyes :) maybe from someone outside of the institution. they can tell you if you've become a pretentious ass overnight or not x

In your newest one, Tim's watching Dick, in The Return Tim's watching Dick, and you even write that Tim is always watching him. Is Tim trying to read Dick? Trying to understand? Or does he understand him by watching? What is he trying to figure out by watching Dick? What does that say about Tim? I really hope this is intentional lmao because I would be embarrassed. And for me, a whole lot of what interests me about Dick and Tim is that theme of watching and being watched. Seeing and being seen.

"Watch me on the trapeze, Tim. I'm going to do my act...'specially for you." | "Timmy, don't look." | "I turned away... I couldn't watch. Then I heard you crying and I turned back... I'm sorry, Dick. I didn't want to hurt you by telling you all this." Dick's watching me. Gauging my reactions. (Tim watching Dick watching Tim!) | "I'm taking off the blindfold." "No!" | "I can't see him. You can't see him. But I know Robin. And Robin's always there when you need him." | I love that kid. Too much to let him see me like this. (But Tim spots him anyway.)

The first time we see Tim's face in LPoD: a close-up on his eyes looking for Dick, a close-up on his eyes at the moment that he sees Dick, a pullback to his face at the moment of recognition, a pullback to his face + his camera (you could maybe even argue that Tim comes into existence at the moment that he sees Dick, like, conceptually. the act of seeing is his defining characteristic. it is the thing that makes his character happen. he is the kid who's watching.)

Tim's a very vision-centric character: he's first introduced as a camera, then as a pair of binoculars, then as a pair of eyes. His whole backstory is about watching: watching Dick's parents die, watching Dick on TV, watching Batman and Robin. I've grabbed a few panels above with Tim watching Dick but there are so many more. His major deductions are all vision-based: he sees Dick-the-acrobat and later recognizes Dick-as-Robin; he sees Bruce-in-the-past and recognizes him as Bruce-of-our-time; the climactic moment in Red Robin is about going into a dark cave with a torch so he can see what's there.

And he's a detective. He pries into secrets. He analyzes people. He's a worrywart and a fusser who always wants to understand what's going on with other people. In a lot of those panels where Tim's watching Dick, his inner monologue is busy deducing Dick's emotions and trying to psychoanalyze him. Tim's caring and watchful and intuitive... but all those qualities also make him very very intrusive.

Dick + being watched

Dick performing acrobatics for Bruce, Donna, and Tim in Detective Comics 38 (his first appearance), New Teen Titans 16, Batman 441, and Nightwing 88 (where he reflects he's glad to be back in the hot glare of the spotlight)

Dick's a detective too, of course - Tim deliberately mirrors Dick, both in-universe and out-of-universe. But also Dick's a performer who loves being watched and also wants to control how he's seen. He gets a kick out of showing off, making puns, kicking ass, taking names, and he gets a kick out of having an appreciative audience. And he's got a kind of yearning for recognition - it hurts, when Bruce won't look at him, and in fights with Bruce, Babs, Roy, he'll often bring up the past, trying to get them to acknowledge a shared history.

At the same time, he's a very private person who withdraws and hides and pushes people away when he's upset. Right before Tim shows up, Dick's just ghosted the Titans because he's having emotional turmoil and doesn't want to have it in front of them, and they're trying to respect his wishes... but that solitude doesn't last long, because then Tim tracks him down. Tim will do this again when Dick's having an emotional crisis and trying to avoid everybody in Nightwing 110.

Possible dynamics

"The watcher and the person being watched" is a dynamic that really interests me, partly because it can be so complicated?

You can see in Dick and Tim their very first roles: enthusiastic performer and the enthusiastic audience member. Dick likes to perform and show off and entertain; Tim likes to watch; those are roles they both easily slide into and they have a lot of fun together! But also you can look at the harsher side: the crime victim and the voyeur, the amateur photographer and the guy who hates being photographed. Dick's intensely private about his vulnerabilities; Tim's intrusive and watchful and constantly trying to figure out how other people tick. Sometimes Tim's the caring friend who watches Dick closely, reads him well, understands him; sometimes he's the nosy mini-detective who pries into Dick's secrets. And that's just two different ways of describing the same thing!

One of the things that kinda fascinates me about Dick and Tim's relationship is that in a lot of ways it's built on a bunch of low-key boundary violations. A lot of their early relationship is driven by Tim's desire to know more about Dick vs. Dick's reluctance to get close to anyone from Gotham; Tim's often out-of-line, but without his pushiness, it's hard to see how they would've developed a relationship at all. Later on, their friendlier relationship is marked by Dick teasing and low-key bullying Tim; it's pretty obvious that Tim isn't actually bothered by this, but it does involve Dick ignoring whatever Tim's claiming he doesn't like ("Quit it!" "Shh").

And one of the aspects of those boundary-violations is that Tim has a habit of witnessing things that Dick would prefer that nobody see. Tim's a witness to Dick's first and most miserable tragedy; he sees the aftermath of some of Dick's fights with Bruce; he's there when Donna dies. And he's sharp and observant and analytical, and I like to imagine this as being something Dick's not entirely comfortable with.

When Dick first meets Tim, it's before he's learned to wear a mask. And Tim spends a lot of time trying to see through Dick's masks, and he's pretty good at it, and a lot of that prying comes from love and care, because one of the ways that Tim shows love and respect and admiration is by trying to absorb absolutely everything about you, like a little sponge. But there's also something unsparing and even threatening about the search for the truth of someone else. It can be comforting or threatening, to know someone's watching you.

And I love how all that complexity is wrapped up in Tim's origin story? Both the giddy childish "Watch me on the trapeze" and then the awful grim reality of what Tim actually sees as a result and then the difficult connection when Dick and Alfred finally get Tim to explain how he knows their secret identities.

Tim's origin story

Tim (recounting his origin story in LPoD): My parents held me back as the thing moved to you. I cried out to warn you. (Two panels where we see just Tim's eyes, as he watches a crying Dick. He sees Batman approach and start trying to comfort Dick.)

I think fiction sometimes presents "being understood / seen / known" as an uncomplicatedly good thing, and there's nothing wrong with that! But I like complications, and I like the way Tim's origin story frames that moment of witnessing as difficult and fraught. Tim doesn't want to tell Dick how he knows their secret identities because he thinks it'll hurt Dick to know it: I don't want to hurt you, Dick, and I'm really afraid I might. And he's not wrong. It is painful; it does hurt; it's not something Dick's happy to know.

Dick's a very private person, and there's a painful intimacy to Tim's origin story - it's not Tim's fault he was there, but at the same time, it's not like Dick chose to have the most traumatic moment of his life on stage in front of an audience of strangers, you know? It's kind of a violation. In NTT/NT/Nightwing, Dick's pretty violently hostile to photographers, and he's intensely private about trauma in general, and I like to imagine this as partly a reaction to that foundational trauma of losing the most important people in his life and also doing it publicly.

And Tim's part of that audience. And he sees the worst part, the part that Dick can't talk about. He sees the bodies and the blood. He has nightmares about it for years. He hears Dick crying and sees him holding onto his parents' bodies. Not at all the kind of first impression Dick would want to make. Not at all the kind of person he wants to be seen as. And that understanding can be painful, because it's so close to the bone, and when Tim's just a stranger, it's upsetting, because Tim knows things that Dick would never have chosen for him to know. Their few conversations about it are awkward partly because Tim's thirteen and awkward... but at the same time, it's not Tim's fault so much as the situation! There's no way for Tim to talk about what he saw that wouldn't be uncomfortable for Dick.

... And yet, and yet. Tim's also one of the last people to see the Graysons alive. He sees Dick and his parents together; he even takes a picture with them. He remembers the whole thing so vividly he'll recognize Dick's somersault years later. He sees the grief. And so I think of that connection as kind of a metaphor for witnessing. Tim sees these things and they become real; Dick can't hide from them; in the act of being seen he's caught, he's in a spotlight, all the grief made real. You can't hide, that way. And Tim's got this unforgiving memory; he won't ever forget; he won't ever stop knowing.

But then, too: Dick's seen, he's known. Even at the very beginning, when Tim doesn't know enough to understand what he knows, he knows the important things.

So that shared memory is a barrier and a bond between them. It can be a source of discomfort or a source of comfort. And that's how I think about Tim watching Dick in general - it's complicated, and sometimes Dick's glad of it, and sometimes he resents it, and also it just is, it's a fact of Tim, that Tim watches. It's notable when he's not watching, when he's turned away.

Being watched goes with vulnerability/exposure

So I'm going to talk about the fraught feeling of being watched more in a little bit, but first: I think it's fascinating that Dick likes screwing around with games where Tim can't see!

Here's Nightwing 25 - Dick's come up with the idea of trainsurfing while blindfolded:

Tim: Are you sure this is such a good idea? Dick: Shh! Listen. Tune into the changing sounds and - Tim: I'm not so - Dick: JUMP!

Here's Robin 49 - clambering through a tunnel into No Man's Land:

Dick: Hard not to think about the river. All the water above us. And bugs. This tunnels' probably full of 'em. And rats. Big ones. Big blind rats with teeth as long as -

Here's Gotham Knights 9 - ambushing Tim in a sorta game of hide-and-seek:

Dick: Gotcha! Tim: Augh!

I feel like mmm I don't want to emphasize power dynamics too much because it's easy to overplay it BUT when I think about headcanons it's interesting to me to think about how maybe when Tim can't see, Dick's more in charge / in control, and so he feels more comfortable and less vulnerable, and that's often when he's most relaxed and playing around the most?

Whereas the moments when Tim's looking at him are often a bit more fraught, as here in Lonely Place of Dying:

Tim: I'm sorry, Dick. I really am. I didn't want to hurt you by telling you all this. Dick... Dick: It's all right, Tim. No matter how old you are, there are some things you never forget. Or get over. (Silent panel: Tim's watching Dick as Dick turns away and stares into the window.)

Or here in Nightwing 6, when Tim wakes him up from a nightmare:

Dick (internally, imagining a kid falling): He shouts to me. He always shouts to me. I never hear what he says. Tim: Nightwing! Wake up!

Or here in Gotham Knights 26, when Bruce is accused of murder:

(Silent panel where Tim's watching Dick.) Tim: I'm sorry. This must be hard for you. Dick: Me? Why? Tim: Well, I mean, it'd be one thing if we really knew he was innocent, but as it is - Dick: Wait, what? Stop right there. What are you saying, Tim?

Here's Tim spotting him before he can get away in Nightwing 110:

Dick (watching Tim from a distance, internally): Still, Timmy played it through nice and clean. Disarmed the perps, protected and avoided the cops. Kept any civilians from getting shot. God, I love that kid. Too much to let him see me like this. Tim: Hey! (appearing on the roof above him, fake-cheerful) You weren't gonna leave without saying hi, were you? Dick (looking away, very quietly): Hey, Timmy. Tim: Look at you, man! Back on both feet! Think you're done stopping bullets with your body for a while? Dick: Hope springs eternal. (Silent panel with Tim watching Dick, who's turned away.) Tim: You okay, Dick? Dick: I'm fine. Tim: Well, where're you staying these days? Dick: With some people.

Of course, sometimes Tim's watchfulness is frustrating but also a comfort, as in Detective Comics 874:

Tim (watching Dick, who's looking away): Are you listening to me, Batman? I'm saying the gas the Dealer used on you was powerful stuff. Dick: I'm fine, Red Robin. Besides...you're here now. Tim: You're not fine. And with or without me, you shouldn't be out on patrol ye - Dick: Sshhh. Here they come.

(Later in the comic, Dick mentally concedes that Tim's right that he hasn't really recovered from the gas, and Tim saves him from drowning when he's hallucinating. So Dick feels kind of exposed by the scrutiny, but also... he invited Tim along, so there's trust there, too - Tim's perceptiveness can be a good thing, too, when things are serious.)

Incomplete summary of moments with Dick and Tim and vision

I think I already mentioned a lot of these but here is my LIST

almost the first thing that Dick says to Tim is "watch me on the trapeze, Tim" and then Tim does and he basically never stops watching;

Tim watches Dick's parents die and watches Dick sobbing on-stage and watches him on TV and recognizes him by seeing a particular trick because he's dreamed about Dick doing the trick in his recurring nightmares about that night;

in New Titans 65 which is their very first team-up comic after Tim's origin, Dick's training pre-Robin Tim and gives him a test about watching for details and later Tim's takeaway is "I saw how [the Titans] listened to you";

there's a moment in Showcase '93 12 which is just Tim watching Dick and analyzing what's going on with him and there's another moment in Prodigal which is the same thing;

in Nightwing 6 Tim sneaks into Dick's apartment and hides in the dark and Dick spots him and tackles him; one of their most important bonding comics is Nightwing 25, where Dick insists on blindfolding him to get him to rely less on vision; when they sneak into No Man's Land they're in the dark and Tim can't see again and Dick's teasing him;

there are multiple moments when Tim can't see Dick for a bit and panics about his safety, in Nightwing 25, in No Man's Land, in Transference, in Bruce Wayne: Murderer;

Tim's there watching when Dick's wedding to Kory falls apart and he's there watching when Bruce and Dick fight and he's there watching when Donna dies and he's watching when Dick and Bruce swing together on the night before Infinite Crisis, and when Dick goes down and almost dies in Infinite Crisis we cut to Tim watching and seeing it happen and screaming;

there are multiple moments which are just silent panels of them staring at each other trying to figure out what's going on with each other or having a stand-off - in Bruce Wayne: Murderer, in Resurrection, in Red Robin;

in the aftermath of Donna's death there's a panel where Dick's watching Tim from a distance and not approaching;

in the aftermath of Blockbuster Dick spends half the comic just staring at Tim from a distance and hiding himself because "I love that kid - too much to let him see me like this," but Tim sees him anyway and chases him down and then they lie to each other and *ranting* LISTEN TO ME the whole comic is about Dick trying to AVOID being SEEN both literally but also METAPHORICALLY AND --!!!

(the only thing i'm even as halfway obsessive about for them is the heights thing because also there are a bunch of moments involving falling or Tim being anxious about heights and worried that he'll fall or Dick will fall)

In conclusion

Consider the progression in all these moments where Tim's watching an upset Dick and worrying about him!! From reaching out instinctively-but-pointlessly when he's too far away in the LPoD flashback, to almost reaching out in LPoD but hesitating, to putting a hand on Dick's back to walk him back to the Cave in Gotham Knights 10, to physically dragging him clear of the water in Batman: Black Mirror!

In conclusion I don't have a conclusion but basically YES, "watching Dick" is a core Tim characteristic as far as I'm concerned, and Tim watches Dick a lot and that can mean all kinds of things from admiration to nosy intrusiveness to worry to care to gratitude to trying-to-figure-out-what's-going-on-with-him, and sometimes Dick's resentful and sometimes he's relieved and sometimes he's playful and sometimes it's a mix of all those feelings.

And at first it's always Tim watching Dick, but later you've got Dick watching Tim too, and there's that moment where Dick's secretly watching him fight but Tim spots him in Nightwing 110 and there's a silent panel where Dick's watching him in Resurrection and at the very end of Robin there's a scene where Dick's secretly watching him fight but Tim spots him and in the very last issue of Red Robin Dick's watching the end of the confrontation with Boomerang and in Prodigal Dick's the one who notices his face is bruised and aaaaaaah

Service. Obviously. This should come as no surprise to anyone. He doesn't just want you to order him in the bedroom, he wants you to tell hm how to help you and be good for you. He has to feel useful.

Hair pulling. I know this one is kinda basic but there's no way he doesn't enjoy this. Usually he's not too hectically into pain play but there's nothing that gets his knees to buckle faster than when you grab the hair at the nape of his neck, just turns him to jelly.

Ownership. Again a no brainer here. He wants to feel like he's yours and yours alone. No one else can touch him, no one else can even look at him. Let him wear a collar and tug at it while calling him yours and he may genuinely just cum on the spot.

AEGON - TOP THREE KINKS:

Dumbnification. Nothing he loves more than when you gather him into your arms and tell him that he obviously can't look after himself, you must do it for him. He can't think, and he doesnt need to think, not when you call him pretty and kiss his head and tell him he doesnt need to worry about a single thing.

Overstimulation. This shouldnt be much of a surprise either. He absolutely loves when you push him to the brink, when you wring as many orgasms out of him as you can until he's just. a blubbering mess. Also he'll become a nuisance to the entire keep if he goes to long without it.

Competence kink. I actually can't believe I've never thought about this him before. Aegon knows he's not the smartest and he's been looked down upon for that his entire life. He absolutely hates being made to feel stupid, but at the same time nothing turns him him on quite like knowing his do is an expert in this and he'll be very well look after. He just gets so flustered and turned on when he gets to watch you in your element, when he can see first hand how good you are at what you do.

AEMOND - TOP THREE AFTERCARE FORMS:

Debrief - The first and most important to Aemond actually only happens once the scene is over and you're both pretty well recovered. He has to have a debrief afterwards, to hear what you thought and how you felt and to share his own perspective. if he skips this part of the aftercare then he'll feel off and unsettled for the rest of the day.

Reading - as we know, Aemond has studied history extensively. It's because of this love for history that you like to read some of his favourite history books to him while he recovers. You always ensure to choose a book you know he's already read, because he doesn't want surprises or to have to pay attention. He wants to just float as he listens to your voice.

If he doesn't want the reading, then quiet time if the next option you always go with. Aemond absolutely adores being able to let go and enter subspace with you, but when he comes up back up he can often be extremely sensitive to light and sound until he's recovered more. So often aftercare is just letting him slowly come down while he snuggles against your chest.

AEGON:

Cuddles. I know cuddles is implied in pretty much all aftercare thoughts but for this little grade A clinger it deserves its own category. For him it's not just that eh wants cuddles, it's that he won the able to recover otherwise.

Following on from cuddles, he also has to be in the same room as you for aftercare. If you forgot to bring snacks before the scene starts then you have to call a servant and ask for them to be brought out because if you even looked like you might be leaving he'd just burst into tears, completely inconsolable.

Lastly, he just loves when you talk to him while he slowly recovers and comes back. Aegin tends to become much quieter when he's in subspace and this can carry through to his aftercare. Unlike Aemond, reading him a story is never a good idea because the poor little thing can barely concentrate on it. But when you just keep a near constant monologue of your day? Incredible. He lets you voice wash over him without a care in the world.

you know, when i went into mafia the series i saw the poster and was like "ughh i really am gonna have to sit through this standard (overly) dramatic mafia show just for joong, huh. the things i do for my boy..." and then. AND THEN. you can imagine my surprise. i was crying tears of laughter throughout the show and i was actually laughing so hard that my mom made a comment about how she could hear my laugh in my room

and yes there IS a serious lack of joong in ploy's yearbook so far :((((

it was quite funny tho bc in the one scene where joong does show up i immediately recognized him by the back of his head, like!! i saw this:

and instantly went "OH there's my boy!!!!!" 😂😂😂

and i can't wait to see him with film bc film did extremely well with gun in not me and i feel like film and joong will also work together really well

i've adored them ever since simm which i watched live from ep2 onwards. fun fact, actually: when i started simm i actually had no idea who they were (even though technically i'd seen dunk in bad buddy already, except i wasn't paying attention to the random high school bandmates and so i didn't actually recognize dunk and only realized later on ahahah)

aaaanyway, i had no idea who they were, right? and so in 2022 my mom and i spent two nights in prague during easter and in the evening we were in our hotel room and we were kinda looking for something to watch. and i was like "hey look, gmmtv has a new bl out and it looks kinda cute and fluffy judging by the thumbnails?? and like something that doesn't require too much brain power?? plus, there's also only two eps out so far, so we'll be caught up right away" and so we watched the first two episodes and then the two of us ended up watching every new ep together every week hahaha

i actually didn't really talk about it on tumblr back then and when you go back on my blog you'll see that there are hardly any simm post. but really, with every new simm episode that aired i liked joongdunk more and more. and especially once the characters started dating i was actually so in awe about just how comfortable joong and dunk were with each other and how they absolutely weren't afraid to touch? like, their physical affection was just so casual, like it was the most natural thing in the world to them in an "i'm-not-even-thinking-about-it-bc-it's-so-normal" kind of way and that was just soooo refreshing to watch?? i was (and still am) truly amazed

and when just a couple of months later, at the end of 2022 gmmtv announced joongdunk were gonna get another show together i got SO excited!! and also when it was revealed that simm was included in our skyy 2!!!!

and then hidden agenda started airing and then i was tagged in that tag game and then i went to watch joong's entire filmography and then i ended up falling into a joongdunk rabbit hole and here we are...

anyway, i have multiple agendas and one of them is turning people into joong fans and dunk fans and joongdunk fans sllksdfd

and my other agenda is getting people to watch mafia the series, bc it's truly a gem of a show!!!!
