Viz Media: (releases a new app that lets you read a buttload of their archive for a super cheap price, and will also simulpub several select series for free)
(US and Canada only sorry folks)
Me: (immediately checks to see that PokeSpe is not part of either service, only full volume digital downloads for regular purchase)
Dang it, whyyyy. PokeSpe is a Shogakukan title, it can absolutely go on it. Hopefully they can expand later...?
Also, I would happily sacrifice several goats if it meant that they could ever simulpub from Ichiban, but that might be wishing for too much, especially since it looks like the mini-volumes aren't even up for download.
#pokemon special#pokespe#it's honestly a fantastic deal#for all the series they have up#including a lot of older ones likely out of print#i'll probably pay for a few months at least#but yeah#make pokespe more accessible legally#pleeeeease#until then#welp

⥠simon is a bad stalker part 1 âĄ
bad!stalker!simon x reader
⥠masterlist ⥠request more! âĄ
summary: simon being a stalker but really it's just him being sweet. price makes an appearance. mdni
a/n: as per usual this is way longer than it needs to be, enjoy
simon kind of sucks at being a stalker but it's because he doesn't really want to scare you, he just wants to be around you
he doesn't even really realize what he's doing at first, tells himself that he's only trailing you in his car as a random act of kindness, who knows what could happen to you in broad daylight walking 2 streets over to grab a coffee
he finds your number too easily, and even pays some sketchy site $20 after a pop-up promises to scrub your information from sites like the one he's on now. wouldn't want someone finding out all the information he did
you suddenly are getting way less spam calls/emails, and chalk it up to being lucky
it goes on for months, you have no idea who he is and that you're being stalked. the only inkling you have of anything weird going on is you're having terrific luck lately.
obviously, the luck is a huge war-torn man that can't seem to stop making your life easier
like one day it's raining hard after work, and you have prepared yourself to get soaked on your way to your car.
that is until you see an umbrella leaning against the building, a note with running ink that says "free" on it. talk about right place right time!
or the time your cat gets sick from eating a hair tie and you spend almost all your money on surgeries and medicine. you're starting to worry that you'll be short on rent when a literal child knocks on your door with an envelope full of money saying that he has a youtube channel and chose you randomly to give $5,000 to. what the fuck?
you're still standing motionless in your doorway with a stack of money in your hands when the kid rounds the corner, looking up at simon expectantly. "the lady took the money dude. where's my xbox?"
simon chuckles a little, handing the kid a bag from gamestop with the newest xbox in it. the little kid runs off, yelling thank you as he leaves.
then simon ramps it up a little, starts sneaking in at night to watch you sleep and go through your little trinkets. homeboy just wants to know every little thing there is to know about you
he starts showing up to the place you get coffee, where you grocery shop, etc
you start feeling like you're being watched, start hearing things at night that make you sleep a little lighter.
you figure out you're being stalked a few months later. you had started feeling so off that you began seeing a therapist, worried that some mystery mental illness is starting to creep in.
simon starts noticing that you're not sleeping as well, not smiling as much from the paranoia. so he does the next logical step of leaving you notes of reassurance
the first one is when he's watching you sleep one night, on his way out he trips over your cat who seemingly came out of nowhere. he catches himself on the wall, a dull thud echoing throughout your home.
the next morning you find a note, that simply states "sorry about the noise last night, i tripped on your cat. i'll try to be more quiet next time. yours, s."
you immediately start tweaking out. someone was in your house? and they left a fucking note? apologizing of all things?
then you realize that this has probably been going on for months
for some reason it calms you, you've been living in ignorance all this time and you always knew something was off, at least you knew what it was now
and as far as you knew your stalker hadn't done anything dangerous besides, you know, stalking you
so you stay quiet. mostly because you feel insane but a part of you also worries what would happen if you broke your stalker's routine. would he start becoming violent? would the police even have enough information to stop him?
simon takes that as acceptance and an invitation for more contact. so he starts calling you.
the first time is when you're about to leave for work. you answer with a bright "hello, this is y/n" and almost jump when a deep gravelly voice responds. "hi luv. take backroads to work today, there's an accident on the freeway, it'll probably make you late."
before you can respond you hear the "call ended" tone. you rapidly look around your street, seeing no one out of the ordinary. you say fuck it and take the freeway, not wanting to be lured into a trap or something. lo and behold, you're almost 20 minutes late to work.
the calls stop freaking you out when you realize one night, almost dazed, that whoever this man is actually helping you. like a lot.
just the other day after a girl's night out you had been struggling to find an uber around, cursing when the driver canceled on you after waiting for 15 minutes.
you're already about to cry when a black suv rolls up, a middle-aged man with impressive facial hair popping his head out of the window.
"y/n?" you hesitantly say "yes?" and take a step closer to the car.
"i'm your uber, stupid app canceled while i was on the way here. hop in." he opens his own door, tall frame making his way around to the door closest to you, opening it and waiting.
you're admittedly really drunk. and you realize that this might be a horrible idea, but for some reason the story makes sense, and you find yourself slipping into the back of the man's car.
"temp all right for you luv?" you freeze a little, the pet name feeling familiar somehow. you stay quiet, looking at him through the rearview mirror. he makes eye contact with you and suddenly you're blurting it out before you can stop yourself.
"you're not an uber driver, are you?"
he holds eye contact for a second, surprised when he doesn't see fear in your expression, just desperation for the truth. he sighs deeply and looks back at the road.
"nope" your heart leaps into your throat.
"are you..." you didn't even know what to say. "are you, him?"
price knows what you're asking. when ghost called and asked him to pick you up, he knew he shouldn't. the stupid fuck was stalking you for god's sake. but price has a soft spot for his broken LT.
"no. i'm not him."
"do you know him?"
price hesitates. "yeah. i know 'im."
you're quiet for a few minutes, briefly realizing that you're a few streets away from home. you didn't know what you expected, but actually being dropped off unharmed wasn't it.
price turns down your street and suddenly you have a million questions.
"does he hate me? does he want to hurt me? why me? what does he want?"
price puts the car and park, kind of irritated at ghost for putting him in this position and not being normal and just taking you out on a date.
"he's not gonna hurt you, y/n. he just wants to take care of you, make sure you're safe." you stare at him like he's an alien.
price decides that's all he's going to say and leans over the seat to unbuckle you. "time to get to bed youngin."
you slowly grab your purse, grabbing the car handle. you sit for a second, before turning back to the man. "thank you for the ride. and tell, him, thanks, i guess." you don't wait for a response, just get out of the car and walk up to your house.
you turn around and watch the man pull out of your driveway, speeding down your quiet street. you unlock your front door in a daze, still half expecting to be murdered at any second.
your phone rings and you answer without looking at the screen.
"y/n?" it's him. he had gotten a call from price, recapping his drive home with you and started panicking when price shared that you had clocked him not being an uber driver. he didn't know what else to do but call you and try to explain and not lose you.
"it's you."
"y/n, i-" you cut him off.
"i want to meet you."
simon realizes that he is so fucked.

The last story was amazing, hope you can get this one in before the holdidays, and have a nice vacation. And just a great next few months on top of that! But I was wondering ( sorry this may be long ) if you could do a headcanon of alastor, lucifer, Angel Dust, lucifer, fizz + Ozzie, and Rosie? ( sorry if that's to many characters there all just great characters ) x a reader who has CIP ( the inablility ) to feel pain? Thank you! Also how have you been?
I'm all good. I haven't had much free time lately, so I'm a little behind schedule on writing requests, but I still don't lose hope that I'll be able to finish everything before the end of the year. And how are you doing?
Headcanons CIP
đˇ Angel Dust x Reader đ
You and Angel have known each other for a long time. You knew that he often got into various scuffles and always reminded him to be careful. One of the times you knew for sure that he was going to get into trouble, you went with him. You were right and helped him cope and not get hurt, but there was something that caused him concern. You were hit by several bullets, but you didn't seem to pay any attention to it at all
Only when you noticed the blood on your clothes did you say with irritation that you had ruined your favorite sweater. Angel jumped up to you, worried about your wounds, but you didn't seem to feel the pain, which you soon informed him about. That's why Angel took you back to the hotel, where he treated your wounds. You told him that you had a CIP. You haven't felt pain since you were born, even when you were human, and even in Hell, the absence of pain has remained with you
Angel was surprised that for so long he didn't know that you don't feel pain at all. You had to pay attention to little things so as not to harm yourself, for example, be careful about hot dishes, because you might not notice how hot the soup could be or how hot the cup of coffee was. Angel listened attentively to you, surprised that he didn't notice it
Angel has become more attentive towards you. He didn't constantly take care of you, but sometimes he reminded you that the food or drink was hot, that you held the knife too close to your fingers, or that you were injured. Angel understood that even if you didn't feel pain, it didn't mean that the wounds didn't hurt you, which is why he tried to take care of you at least a little
đť Alastor x Readerđ
Alastor found out that you don't feel pain when he noticed that you returned to the hotel with an injured leg. You weren't even limping. You just went to your room like everything was completely normal. He didn't know any other reason for this. He went to your room with a first-aid kit and you did not hide from him either your own wound or the fact that you really did not feel pain
Alastor stayed in your room while you treated the wound on your leg. You told him that even when you were human, you didn't feel pain. You assumed that at least in Hell this would change, but it turned out not to be so. Because of this, you didn't notice the wounds you could get until you noticed the blood on your clothes
The origin of the scars on your skin was now clear. He understood that you probably got these scars in Hell. On your palms, hands, and obviously not only there. You really weren't very worried about your own health, and the lack of pain only made it harder for you to take care of yourself
Alastor understood that in Hell there was much less harm from this for you. Dying in Hell was much more difficult for a sinner than when you were alive, so Alastor didn't worry too much about you. He knew you'd be fine, but he still left a first-aid kit in your room in case you needed it
đRosie x Reader đš
You were a frequent guest at Rosie's and helped her with some problems at her store. You often stayed at her house for weeks at a time, but Rosie was only too happy to spend time with you. Sometimes you came in with wounds after fights, but Rosie was sure they weren't that serious, so you didn't pay attention to it. However, when you came in seriously injured but behaved as if everything was fine, she became worried
Rosie insistently asked you to sit down and brought a first aid kit. She was in no hurry to ask questions or jump to conclusions, primarily focusing on your wounds. You didn't make a sound when she was treating your wounds, which gave Rosie certain thoughts
You honestly told her that you didn't feel pain at all. Even before your death, you had CIP and you learned to live with it, but in Hell you became more relaxed and took much less care of your own health, which led to your injury. Rosie listened to you carefully, then gently stroked your hair and asked you to be careful
Rosie didn't want you to try. She knew that you tried to be more attentive to yourself and tried to avoid new wounds. You didn't want to upset Rosie and make her worry, which is why you tried not to put yourself in danger, not even realizing that Rosie was ready to show those who would harm you why she was overlord
đ Lucifer Morningstar x Reader đ
Lucifer knew perfectly well that you didn't feel pain. You've known each other for a long time and he often saw you after fights. You didn't pay attention to the wounds, just talked irritably about stained or torn clothes. You both knew that the lack of feeling pain had its own characteristics, so you made sure that the wounds were treated, and Lucifer made sure that no one dared to hurt you
Lucifer was much stronger than you, and when you were together, no one dared even try to look at you askance, but sometimes you got involved in fights, especially when it was the end of the year. You didn't want to hide, even though you knew you could have died. Every time Lucifer found out that you were fighting again, he watched, taking his time to intervene. It was only when he saw that you were seriously injured that he intervened
Lucifer sometimes offered to pick up personal guards for you, but you kept telling him that it wasn't necessary. Just because you didn't feel pain didn't mean you were reckless. You tried not to put yourself in excessive danger, realizing that even in Hell you could die
You didn't know how long you would be in Hell and whether it was possible to leave Hell at all, but while you were there you weren't going to let yourself die again, especially because you didn't notice any wound and Lucifer didn't mind helping you with it
đŞ Fizzarolli x Reader x Asmodeus đ
In your relationship, Asmodeus has always tried to take care of Fizzarolli and you. He had sincere feelings for both of you, and you responded in kind, but if Fizzarolli really tried to be careful, then you got into trouble more often. They both saw the wounds healing on you, but you always said it was just a small accident and they had nothing to worry about. This went on until you returned with bloodstains on your clothes and serious wounds that you didn't pay attention to
They immediately rushed to you, both very worried. You convinced them that you were fine, but this time it was obviously not the case. Asmodeus treated your wounds, after which he seriously asked who did it. To his question, you smiled gently and said that they were much worse off than you, so you shouldn't have worried about it. However, there was something that did not escape their eyes. It's like you didn't feel the touch of your wounds
When Fizzarolli asked you if you were in pain, you were confused and said that you didn't feel any pain at all. You've had CIP and you've never felt pain in your entire life. There used to be problems because of this, but now you have learned to avoid serious problems, at least you tried
Asmodeus and Fizzarolli weren't going to leave you alone until your wounds were completely healed. They both surrounded you with care, worrying about you, to which you laughed softly and hugged them. Even in Hell, you were able to find those who gave you the warmth that warmed your heart and soul

đ°đ¸đťđ°đŽđ¸đžđź, emily prentiss
emily prentiss x fem!reader
emily has a huge crush on the girl from her favorite coffee shop (you). the problem? you´re gorgeous
warnings: emily picking at her skin :((, r is confident, super fluffy <3
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ÍĚâ
"you should think about the consequence of your magnetic field being a little too strong"
Emily rushed down the street, only slowing down when she reached the door of the all too familiar coffee shop. If there was one thing she wasn't eager about was the scowl she would receive from Hotch if she was late for work. Not really looking up when she approached the line of one person ahead of her, focusing on finding her wallet inside her bag.
But as her eyes looked ahead, she felt her breath get caught in her throat, her hearth suddenly beating faster than usual. Usually they would have been met with Grace, the old lady that owned the shop. But this time she was surprised with a new face. A polite smile was plastered on you lips, your hair pulled back by an hair clip, an apron covering your black long sleeve, the gold earrings making you look even more mesmerizing. She didn't even know your name, but there was something about you that made her feel somehow pulled towards you, like you were a magnetic field and she was metal.
"Miss? Are you alright?" Emily hadn't realized she has lost track of her surroundings before your voice sent her back to earth. Ugh- your voice. It was probably the most beautiful sound she had ever heard. Your eyebrows were raised, as if urging her to make her order, the smile never leaving your lips.
"Oh- yeah. Goodmorning, i'd like uh- a black coffee to take, please." She found herself stumbling on her own words, cheeks burning with embarrassment. Handing you the money in her hand, her blush depended as your fingers brushed slightly against hers.
"Alright, i'll be right on it." You said, turning around and working on getting the coffee ready.
Emily found herself fiddling with her fingers as she waited, she wasn't one to get shy or nervous when it came to this type of situation, but it had caught her completely off guard. After all, a pretty girl is a pretty girl.
"There you go...?" You handed her the coffee, waiting for her to reveal her name.
"Emily. Emily Prentiss." She smiled gently, fingers brushing yours once more as she grabbed the coffee from your hands, not really sure if the warmth came from the cup or your gentle hands.
"Emily Prentiss." You repeated, your voice confident as you continued. "Well, see you around... i hope?"
"Yeah, i'm a usual." She replied, slowly walking towards the exit as she realized she was definitely going to be late now, but not really wanting to leave just now.
"I'm glad." You observed, your eyes never leaving hers as Emily left the store.
She rushed to her car, not being able to hold the smile that was threatening to form on her lips. She now had another reason to call that coffee shop her favorite, and she found herself wishing the time would rush to the next morning so she could go back to looking into your eyes and see your sweet smile once more.
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ĚĚâ
"you're so gorgeous, i can't say anything to your face"
Your expression turned confused as Emily walked through the door of the coffee shop, what appeared to be a cut on the right side of her forehead, you couldn't really tell from the patch that covered most of it.
It wasn't unusual for her to pay a visit to the shop, she had been a client there since your first day of work - which was at least a few months ago by now. Every morning she would walk through the door, ordering her usual black coffee. Truth is you would always look forward for that, throwing a compliment about her outfit or hair. Unfortunately, she always seemed to dismiss it with a shy smile, followed by an awkward chuckle. You would always try to hide the disappointment you felt, really hoping you still had a chance with someone like her. Someone so pretty and nice.
You didn't know as much about her as you wish you did, sometimes she wouldn't show up for days, so you imagined she had a pretty busy life. But you never had the courage to ask, afraid to overstep. After all you were just a random girl who worked at the coffee shop she was a usual at.
But this time it was different, outside the sky was already covered in darkness, streets illuminated by yellow lights. You were getting ready to close off before she walked in.
"Emily? Are you okay?" It was a silly question if you were being honest, she seemed tired and you couldn't help but stare at the patch on her forehead. She was obviously not okay, idiot.
"Yeah, don't worry about me. Just had quite a day at work, didn't feel like going back home just yet." She looked around, her eyes widening when she notice the floor had been cleaned just now, feeling suddenly embarrassed for not noticing the 'closed' sign on the door. "Oh god- i'm so sorry. I didn't realize you were closed, i'll just come by another time-"
"Hey, don't worry. Have a seat." You gestured to the table by the large window, quickly fetching the last muffin before sitting in front of her, handing it to her.
"Thank you." She said quietly, a soft smile taking her features - but it didn't reach her eyes quite yet.
"So- what kind of job gives you a little battle scar like that and is still considered only 'quite a day'?" You teased, not really expecting much of an answer, she never seemed to be the one to talk much. But you really desperately wanted to make her give you one of those smiles of hers - a genuine smile.
"Does working for the FBI justify it?" It was now your turn to widen your eyes, surprise taking over your features. She chuckled at that before nibbling on the muffin.
"Well that was definitely unexpected." You said, your eyebrows raised but the smile never leaving your lips - the look you had given her the first time you met. "Does that mean i should start calling you agent Prentiss?" You questioned, the confident tone finding it's way back into your voice. You leaned your chin against the palm of your hand, gazing at her gently.
"That won't be necessary." Emily laughed, the not so happy thoughts clouding her mind evaporating as she relished in the way you looked at her. "I'm sorry again for showing up so late."
"It's no problem. I'll tell you what, every time you have one of those days you can stop by." You reached for her hand, gently rubbing her knuckles, unaware of the butterflies caused by it on her stomach. "Besides, i don't mind giving out muffins for free to pretty girls. Not at all." You humoured, trying to hide the nervousness you felt just by touching her hand. Smiling triumphally when her cheeks turned pink.
Her words caught in her throat as she tried to think of a possible answer to that. Deciding to stick to a comfortable silence, as there were about zero chances she could actually say anything back - not when the face that she considered to be the definition of gorgeous was so close to hers.
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ĚĚâ
"if you got a girlfriend, i'm jealous of her. but if you're single, that's honestly worse"
Emily pulled her coat tighter around her frame, it was a particular cold night. It had became an habit to visit you at night once a week, not necessarily after a bad day, just to enjoy your company.
But when she was finally standing outside the cosy coffee shop, she felt her stomach drop, a knot forming in her throat. Peering through the large window, she watched as you talked to a man who appeared to be only a few years older than you. You had a bright smile on your face, your expression showing nothing but happiness.
She had the urge to stop whatever was happening, but what excuse did she have to do that? There was nothing going on between you and her, for all she knew you probably only saw her as a good friend. Besides, you were just talking to him it's not like anything was happening. What really made her stomach turn with jealously was that these nights were supposed to be something special, just the two of you - at least she thought so.
You hugged him tightly, laughing slightly when he ruffled your hair before pulling away and leading him towards the exit.
"Emily, hi!" You cheered once you walked him out and noticed her presence. The mystery guy smiled politely at her before dismissing himself.
"Hey, sorry for appearing without a warning. Didn't know you had plans." She said after clearing her throat, trying to make knot there disappear. "Boyfriend?" She added reluctantly, trying to seem curious more than disappointed.
"Brother. And it's alright, you can show up anytime. He showed up unexpected anyway, said he was passing by and wanted to say hi." You chuckled, gesturing for her to come in.
Suddenly she felt stupid for not realizing the similarities, the same color of hair and the way his eyes looked exactly like yours.
"Besides, guys aren't really my thing." You noted with a teasing smirk, but she didn't fail to notice the way your expression told her you were telling the truth.
You didn't give her time to register and process your last words, "Wait a minute. Are you jealous, Agent Prentiss?" Eyebrows raised and a smile that made her want to confess to you right there and then.
"What- no! Why would i be jealous?" Why wouldn't she be jealous? Just the thought of you giving one of those smiles to someone else made her want to kiss you in a room full of people and ask you to be hers. She wanted those specific smiles and loving gazes all to herself.
In fact, she wasn't even sure if she was relieved that you were single or going mad with the fact she now thought she could actually have a chance with you.
"You tell me, Em." The nickname came out smoothly and she wished you would call her that more often. She stand there awkwardly, trying to think of a valid reason to why she wouldn't be jealous. Subconsciously picking at the skin around her nails.
"Hey, i'm just playing with you, pretty. Don't do that." Your hands found hers, gently pulling her hands apart.
Her heart fluttered at your gentleness, her thumbs rubbing against the soft skin of your hands.
She didn't know if she actually had a chance, but she knew she had to try at least. She was gonna ask you out and it had to be soon, she couldn't afford loosing you to someone else before trying.
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ĚĚâ
"guess i'll just sumble on home to my cats, alone... unless you wanna come along"
You hummed softly as you tapped your fingers against the counter, waiting for the clients to start coming in, having just opened the shop a few moments before. You were in a particularly good mood, having spent time with one of you favourite people yesterday - Emily. You always looked forward for the days she would show up right before you closed.
The doorbell ringed and you looked up, being met by the sight of your favourite raven haired agent. You smiled widely, straightening up your back as she approached the counter.
"Hey, Agent. The usual?" Barely waiting for the answer as you started working on getting it ready.
"Hey, yes that would be it." Emily's voiced sounded slightly nervous, you had learned to noticed she would try to mask it every time you sent flirty comments her way. What was weird this time was that you hadn't actually tried to flirted with her, yet.
"Here you go." You rounded the counter, standing now in front of her as you handed her the warm cup. It's not like there were other clients to attend to anyway.
"Thanks." She mumbled out, not really evolving the conversation as she usually would. A slight frown made it's way into your face at her strange behaviour.
"You okay, Em?" You questioned, hand reaching out to touch her arm in a comforting way.
"Yeah i just- i realized we have never hung out outside of the shop. And i was wondering if you'd like to come over or something? We could order takeout and watch something. If you want, of course." She glanced at you hopefully, your hand going still against her arm at the request. You were usually the one to take new steps.
"Are you asking me out, Prentiss?" You managed to tease, fingers now playing with the tips of her hair.
"Yes, i am." Her answer caught you completely out of guard, you didn't actually think she was gonna be the one to ask you that.
"Oh- well it's a date then." Your cheeks were a deep shade of red right now, you were sure of it.
"Great. I'll pick you up at 8." Emily stated, hand against your cheek as she leaned close and placed a gentle peck at the corner of your lips. Her lips staying in place for a moment more than they usually would have. She turned around before you could think of a comeback, leaving the shop.
She was going to drive you crazy someday. Well, crazier. If that's even possible.

y/nâs perspective
âTaeyong, you canât be serious,â I said as I was now in the office of the devil himself. And he's called to get his end in a favor. âYou owe me,â he said and I scoffed.Â
âYouâre literally chasing in a favor from when I was in college,â I said and he only grinned. âYou still owe me. Besides, it shouldn't be dangerousâ and I scoffed at his reassurance.Â
âIt's just an interview. Youâll wear a wire, and all I need is evidenceâ he asked and I sighed. âFine. But I won't risk my life for this, Taeyongâ I said and he nodded.Â
âI would never put you in a dangerous situation. This wonât hurt youâ
âDo you have to do this? Or at least take one of us with you?â Yeosang asked and I shook my head. âI have to repay him. He helped me a lot in college⌠besides he's trying to do a good thingâ I explained and they sighed. âYouâll be okay right?â Wooyoung asked as he hugged me tightly.Â
âOf course, he explained that I'll be going in for an interview and heâll be listening in case. He will only interfere once he's gotten information though, so I won't be in danger. This won't affect usâ I assured them and they nodded.Â
âBe careful, circus hybrids are some of the most deprived and abused hybridsâ San warned and I nodded. Over the years people stopped performing with animals and advanced to hybrids because of their ability to be trained and have a human way of thinking
Even though many people thought it was better it's not too well known that it's abusive to them just repeating history. âBe carefulâ they said as I was now on the elevator waving bye to the boys.Â
They've really grown.Â
Iâve officially had San and Wooyoung for five months. Whilst Yeosang joined us two months ago. It's actually been seven months since I originally adopted Son. I couldnât be happier to have them by my side.Â
Now I had to pay my debt to the devil named Taeyong. He truly does hold grudgesâŚÂ
I walked into the VIP line where I showed my journalist ticket. I would be able to take pictures, and even conduct an interview. As I walked in I noticed the hybrids on display.Â
There were two specifically at the entrance. They had bold big letters âMATZâ. They were meant to sit there in a glass box⌠it didnât even have enough room to walk one step. In a smaller print were their names.Â
Seinghwa was the one smiling and bowing, whilst Hongjoong only stared. He would be too far down, he could probably be dangerous. The ones around me started flashing lights at them⌠it clearly bothered them. I made sure to ask Taeyong to give me a camera without a flash. I took a photo of the surroundings. Another reason why he had me do this job and not Mark was because I have a hybrid specialist license to see and even handle red-coded hybrids with supervision.Â
I knew how to analyze their behaviors. So when I saw Hongjoong, he had the potential to be a black code hybrid.Â
âHello! Welcome, it's an honor to see such esteemed guests !! I hope you may enjoy the show !--â as he spoke I saw his ringmaster look. He had jesters and clown costumed people handle hybrids. A few were assigned to cuff and ensure âMATZâ did not act out.
They were tigers and therefore dangerous.Â
â-- Of course, if you need help please ask one of my staff. I look forward to the interviews Iâm scheduled forâ he said as he left. As the staff looked at our tickets I was led to the back. I was given a pre / post-interview.Â
âHello, Iâm going to be conducting an interview?â I said as I now saw the ringleader with the two tigers. They had chains connecting to their collar which looked like ones that were for black code hybrids.Â
âAh yes, may I ask which firm it is under?â he asked and I nodded. âIt would be under the N.E.O. Firmâ I stated and he nodded.Â
âI see. How is Dong Sicheng ?â he asked and I smiled. âHeâs actually on vacation at the moment. Last I heard he was in China visiting a few friends. '' I answered and he chuckled.Â
âI know, your firm isnât too keen on me,â he said and I noticed the curious eyes of the tigers. âWell, the firm has hybrid rights associated. It has been for years nowâ I answered and he nodded with calculating eyes.Â
âThat it is. Though I can assure you, our hybrids are treated like familyâ he said and I smiled softly as I wrote down notes of the two hybrids behind him. They were clearly agitated by his words, almost like he was lying.
âWell then. What are your questions?â he asked politely. âHow many hybrids currently do you have registered?â I asked and he nodded. âAround fifty dear,â he said and I nodded. âAnd all are vaccinated with the current hybrid regulations, health up-to-date, VISAâs registered?â I asked and he answered yes.Â
So he denied hybrid trafficking, and hybrid health neglect.
âMay I ask you to talk about MATZ?'' I asked and he nodded. âThese two were born into the circus. Their parents are a mix from our circus and a breeder which I know personallyâ he explained and I saw how Seonghwa kept on staring at my coat. His ears were twitching and I noticed Hongjoongâs glare at meâŚ.
âThese two are such close friends we thought that a show would be most beneficial and fun for them,â he said while lifting his hands to pet their heads making them both clearly uncomfortable. Seonghwa stared wearily whilst Hongjoong looked like he could bite any minute.
âMay I ask if I own hybrids?â He asked and I contemplated. âDecline anything in your personal lifeâ I heard on the headpiece Taeyong gave me.
âNo, I do not,â I said and he nodded. âAre you against the ownership?â He asked and I shook my head. âNot necessarily⌠it would take a lot of circumstances for me to adopt a hybrid,â I said and the ringmaster only nodded.Â
âI can assure you every hybrid here is taken care of, and weâll look after it, '' he said and I noticed Seonghwa's gaze. It wasnât like Hongjoongâs glare; it was almost like he was pleading for help.Â
âWhatâs the situation with heats?â I asked and he chuckled⌠âI donât believe in heat suppressants. I let them go on with it with the other gender hybridâ he explained.Â
Meaning it's how he has so many hybrids⌠heâs illegally breeding them. âAre you not worried about pregnancies?â I asked.
âNo⌠some of our female hybrids are sterile so they canât reproduce either wayâ he explained.
It wasnât abuse per se to sterilize a hybrid⌠but it was being argued for hybrid rights.
âHow long have you had this duo?â I asked curious. âHmm, these two rascals? Well, they were born in 1998 and theyâve been with me since then.â He said and I nodded.
Would they speak out against their master? They wouldâve seen everything⌠been through⌠everything.
âSir?â I heard a clown asking for the attention of his boss. âAh give me a moment my dear, why not have an exclusive interview with a MATZ performer. Hongjoong needs some touching up so Seonghwa treats her nicely '' be said and I knew the reason why they took the orange tiger away was because of his behavior.
âBe careful, an abuse hybrid can be triggered at any mention of abuse. Ask simple questions.â Taeyong said and before I could start I looked at him.
He stared at me with soft eyes and a smile... it shocked me how gentle his expression looked.
âIâm not fragile for you not to ask me,â he said and I felt my eyes widen. âThe moment you walked in I heard that radio of yours⌠it kinda hurt at firstâ he confessed.
âIâm sorry,â I said but I couldnât turn it off for my safety.
âItâs alright⌠you're not the first person to come here to infiltrate this place,â he said with his ears flattening on his head. He was losing hope for himself.
âHow many hybrids are there?â I asked and he sighed. âIâve lost count⌠it is over a hundred by now and more to comeâ he explained. âOh, and he doesnât register hybrids in case they die. Itâs a miracle to even survive birth here⌠let alone survive being a baby here. We arenât checked for until weâre cubs⌠after that, weâre never looked after again. The only thing heâll ask to do is hygiene for his top performersâ he explained.
âIâve heard of your firm from the clowns⌠they hate you,â he said and I chuckled. âThey said something about a girl writing about hybrid rights. Since then theyâve shut down several enterprisesâ he said and I smiled.
My reputation follows me.
âThey might know who you are, be careful,â Taeyong said and Seonghwa only stared at me with twitching ears.
âYou must have really good hearing to catch it,â I said and he smiled softly with his tail swishing behind him.
âThanks⌠but it comes in handy with the staff,â he said and I sighed.Â
âDo you have anything you want to tell me?â I asked and he swallowed down saliva showing how nervous he was.
âIâll tell you everything if you manage to burn this place down,â he said and I sighed. âHow about we make a promise?â I asked and he looked at me confused.
âIâll shut this place down⌠but thatâll be the easy part. Iâll still need some more evidence after to concrete itâ I asked and he nodded.
âGood luckâ
The show was like any other hybrid show.Â
You could see the fear in hybrid's eyes when they made a mistake and had to cover it. Clowns and performers have the upper hand.Â
MATZ had the opening⌠they did dangerous stunts. There were a few times they stumbled but otherwise did the best they could. The crowd loved them⌠I saw the contrast of the two⌠fear and anger.
Once the show was over I did a closing statement with the ringmaster and some staff who showed me around.
âAnd our opening act. Did you enjoy it?â they asked and I smiled when I saw Seonghwa and Hongjoong in a tiny cage. It had enough room for the both of them but it must've made them feel trapped.
The staff were talking to other reporters when I noticed the heavy glare Hingjoong was giving me.
Seonghwa got his attention and looked to be scolding him only for him to scoff. He looked over at me and bowed in an apology in which I shook my head.Â
âI hope you enjoyed the showâÂ
seonghwaâs pov
As the reporters left with the staff, Hongjoong glared at me. âQuit acting that wayâ I scolded and he scoffed
âSheâs not the first person to come here asking for questions with a wire,â he said and I sighed.
âYou heard what they said about that firm thoughââ âShe also said how she didnât own any hybrids but owned three,â he said and I was confused.Â
âShe has hybrid scents reading out of her. You shouldnât trust humans so easily⌠one day itâll be you theyâre disposing ofâ he said and I looked down.
âI⌠sorry. I didnât mean for that to come out that way. Iâm just sick of this Seonghwa but this is our life and itâll never changeâ he said and I chose not to believe that.Â
I had hoped that sheâd complete her promise.
âHongjoongâŚ. Sometimes you just have to have faith that people are still good. We donât know how it is outside⌠maybe itâs differentâ I said and he sighed.
âBut is it any better?â He asked and before I could respond I heard yelling.
âWoah!? What are you doing?!â I heard as I saw the ringmaster following⌠policemen?Â
âThis place is being temporarily shut down for inspection and so are the hybrids in this vicinity. If we find anyone trying to smuggle or hide evidence youâll be under arrest for tampering with a crime sceneâ he said and I also noticed people with white lab coats.Â
âStart arresting staff members and performers. Contain all the hybrids as wellâ he ordered and the last thing I saw was Hongjoong defying them whilst I felt a sharp pain in my neck.
Everything could only get better⌠right?
Waking up in a white and cold room was not what I expectedâŚ
âWhite tiger hybrid seems to be malnourished, untreated second-degree burns, underweight, untreated cuts, and dehydrated. Seems to be approximately 25 years old and unclassified code due to tranquilizerâ I heard⌠Was that a doctor?
I tried sitting up but my wrists were bound.Â
âYouâre awake? Are you going to comply?â he asked me and I noticed how close he was. He seemed to purposely try to annoy me⌠âClassified as yellow. Heâs one of the tame onesâ he said into the radio. Classifications? I knew very little of that⌠but yellow wasnât bad?
âThe orange tiger is awake, and is showing a lot of aggressionâ I heard on his radio⌠Hongjoong? âTranquilize him,â the doctor said and I struggled against the constraints. âHeâs your partner, right? They wonât hurt him, but he will hurt us⌠heâs in good hands'' he said and I scoffed. Like Iâd trust humans now afterâŚÂ
âWhat happened to the reporter?â I asked and he looked at me confused. âShe promised to help me⌠what did she do?â I asked and he hummed. âSheâll be conducting interviews this following week. So be on your best behavior or youâll end up in a higher codeâ he said as he left the room.Â
She actually⌠helped us?

Hello hello hello again, my friends! If you're new here or seeing me for the first time, I'm Bixby, I'm a disabled writer.
I've written a bunch of short stories, some which you've probably seen.
I can't work, and so I need a bit of help paying the bills. If you have a few extra dollars to spare, a little tip would go a long way to helping a guy out! (Please don't stress if you can't- put your own oxygen mask on first, you know?) Fortunately, I live fairly cheap, and so far I've been able to keep my bills paid, creatures fed, and the lights on, thanks to your help.
This month, one of my goals is to replace at least one if not both pairs of the shoes I'm currently using. My Dr. Scholl's are falling apart at the seams literally. Don't think I can afford to replace them with the same brand, but if I can even get some cheap ass sneakers and throw some dr scholls inserts it would improve my life a lot!
I update the post twice daily with progress, and I'll turn off the ability to reblog when I make my goal, as per usual.
Sharing this also is a big help, always!

the hbomberguy video was really good, i was a fan of james somerton for quite a while and supported him on patreon (up until last month) so i do feel pretty betrayed, i hadn't really watched his content in a while because i was finding it increasingly cynical and boring, but i had really loved his videos and they helped get me into queer theory and film theory in general. it's really a shame to find out they were largely plagiarized, but at least now i know that there's plenty of authors out there writing original work on queer studies and i can check out their work instead. i really appreciate all the work hbomber did on his video.
it looks like somerton disabled comments on youtube community posts and made a post a few hours ago titled "Raised Concerns" on his patreon, only available to paying patreon members though because jesus fucking christ. i'll try to find someway around it, i'm not giving him any more money. he has a discord server too, it's pretty calm, just people being disappointed basically, not really excusing his actions. his co-writer nick runs the server and is trying to grapple with it. nick wasn't involved in any of the plagiarizing as far as we can tell. he hasn't watched the video yet.
anyway, don't harass anyone about this obviously, spread awareness but don't be a dick. probably no one will see this but i just needed to get my thoughts out.

Pairing : y/n x Matt Sturniolo
Summary : After six years with your boyfriend Alex, you start mentally check out. At a UCLA party, Alex reconnects with his childhood friend Emily, who proposes a double date with her boyfriend Matt. Your attraction to Matt grows as he pays you the first real attention you've had in years, sparking a complicated emotional journey.
Warnings : MDNI, unhappy relationship, mentions of hangover, angst
The start of the new semester at UCLA brought a sense of urgency and routine that clashed with my internal chaos. Alex was excited, his schedule packed with classes and Bruins practice. Meanwhile, I struggled to shake off the lingering thoughts about Matt and Emily from the party, the Instagram follow, and my relationship dying out. I couldnât tell anymore if my embarrassment was first or second hand. But today was a new day, and I had to focus.
I made Alex a protein-packed breakfast this morning, I had the day off so I had the time. âThanks y/nâ Alex said as he gave me a pat on the back. A pat on the back. He took the last few bites of his meal and grabbed the keys to the car. âIâm not too sure what time Iâll be back tonight, Iâll text to let you knowâ Alex said as I walked behind him to the front door. I saw him off as he walked down the steps to the driveway. âAw shitâ I hear him exclaim, realizing one of his tyres had burst. "Great, just what I needed," he muttered. Alex and I shared a car, it was originally mine, but I let Alex put it in his name as he needs to get around more than I do. So in simpler terms, Alex has a car that Iâm able to drive once a month at least.
"Take my phone and book an Uber," I offered, handing it to him. "I'll figure out the tyre later."
He accepted my phone with a grateful nod and quickly booked the ride. As he waited, I heard my phone ping. A familiar sound, from Instagram.
âMatthew Sturniolo (@matthew.sturniolo) has requested to follow youâ
"Hey, looks like Matt wants to follow you," Alex said, showing me the screen with a chuckle. "Guess he enjoyed your company at the party."
My heart jumped, a burning sensation flushed through my body. Why did this have to happen when Alex has my phone.
I tried to keep my voice steady. "Yeah, probably. We did talk quite a bit. I got along well with Nick tooâ
Alex shrugged, accepting the request before handing the phone back. "Alright, my ride's here. See you tonight."
"See you" I replied, watching him head out the door. Not a kiss to say goodbye or anything.
The day passed slowly, my thoughts constantly drifting to Matt's follow request. It felt like a lifeline, a connection I desperately wanted but also feared.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââ
As the evening approached, I texted Alex to let him know the tyre was fixed if he wanted me to pick him up whenever he was ready. He replied saying he had an evening free and he we was going to Uber home with Emily to hang out. They had figured out they were taking the same classes and were coming back to organize a few things for the current semester.
Alex and Emily arrived at our apartment. Alex seemed in good spirits despite the tire mishap. âWe have a school trip to Barcelona in 4 weeks, Europe! How exciting!â Emily said with joy. âWe decided it would be easier to come back here and look at flights together if you donât mind helping us y/n, I know youâre good with all of that.â Alex suggested. For some weird reason this lit a fire in my stomach. I knew I was being stupid since it was for a school trip, but it bothered me how eager he was to organize everything. It was almost like pulling teeth anytime I tried to organize a trip with him. After an hour of searching, I found the cheapest flights for them and everything was booked.
"I'm going to hit the sack early," he said after a while. "Practice starts tomorrow."
"Alright, good night," I said, trying to sound casual.
Emily and I were left alone in the living room. An awkward silence settled between us, punctuated by the occasional sound of Alex moving around in the bedroom. I knew I needed to break the ice, and I also had an opportunity to see where her and Matt stood with each other after Saturday night's events.
"So, how are things with you and Matt?" I asked
Emily smiled, her eyes lighting up. "Matt's great. I mean, heâs really sweet and all, but sometimes I feel like heâs too good, you know? I also want to apologize to you for how I acted at the party, it was out of line. Weâre only newly friends and I donât want to embarrass myself or make a bad impression. I honestly still have a hangover from it allâ
âFriends?â I thought to myself.
âOh you donât need to apologize to me at all Emily, it happensâ I respond, trying to make her feel better.
âI feel like I get carried away sometimes. I like the attention I get from Matt, but I also love the attention I get from others."
I frowned slightly. "Others?"
She shrugged, taking a sip from her Stanley cup. "Yeah, I mean, Matt has a big following, and being with him means I get noticed too. I love him, but I canât help enjoying the attention. It's kind of addicting. Did you not notice all of the influencers at the party?â
Her words struck a nerve. How could she be so nonchalant about treating Matt that way? He deserved someone who appreciated him fully, not someone who saw him as a means to boost their own ego.
"Oh, no I didnât notice" I said, trying to keep my tone neutral.
Emily glanced at me, her expression unreadable. "It just comes hand in hand with his job. I love him, but I also love being in the spotlight. Is that so wrong?"
I didn't know how to respond. It felt wrong, deeply wrong. Matt deserved someone who loved him for who he was, not for the attention he brought. The more Emily talked, the more I realized she didnât deserve him. My feelings for Matt, already complicated, grew stronger. He deserved better, and I couldnât shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, I could be that for him.
As time passed the conversation changed, I found myself genuinely getting along with Emily despite the lingering irritation from her comments about Matt. We chatted about various things like classes, mutual friends, upcoming campus events and even her life in Austin. I canât lie, she was easy to talk to, and I could see why she was popular. But underneath her charming exterior, her earlier remarks about enjoying attention grated on me.
I knew I had to keep things friendly. Not just for Alex's sake, but for my own. Staying close to Emily meant staying close to Matt. It was a delicate balance, and I was determined to maintain it.
Later that night, Emily glanced at her phone and sighed. "I should probably get going. It's getting late."
"Do you need a ride?" I asked, half hoping she would say yes so I could see Matt again.
"Yeah, I'll ask Matt to come pick me up," she said, typing out a quick message..
Mattâs POV
I rotted away in my room all day Sunday. I needed some time to myself. Emily went back to college early this morning and I hadnât heard from her since. After nearly 40 hours of sitting in my room, I decided it was time to try to be social again. I left my room and walked straight into the kitchen to find Nick and Chris sat at the kitchen table.
"Rough night Saturday" Nick asked, eyeing me with concern.
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "You could say that."
Chris obliviously laughed. "Come on, it couldn't have been that bad."
Nick shot him a look. "Matt, we need to talk about Emily. Her behavior at the party... it wasn't okay."
I nodded, feeling a weight settle on my shoulders. "I know. She's been like this more and more lately."
Nick leaned forward, his expression serious. "You don't deserve to be treated like that. You do so much for her, and it seems like she doesn't appreciate any of it."
Chris, still not fully grasping the gravity of the situation, shrugged. "Girls can be complicated, man."
Nick ignored him, focusing on me. "Look, I know you care about her, but you have to think about yourself too. You deserve to be with someone who respects you and values you."
I sighed, the truth of his words hitting hard. "I keep hoping she'll change, that she'll realize how much I care about her and start treating me better."
Nick frowned. "People don't change unless they want to. And from what I've seen, Emily isn't interested in changing."
There was a moment of silence as we all absorbed the reality of the situation. Nick then changed the topic slightly, a mischievous look in his eyes. âI noticed you got along pretty well with y/n, Alex's girlfriend.."
My mind flashed back to our conversations. There had been an easy connection, a sense of understanding that I hadn't felt with Emily in a long time. "Yeah, she's great. We had some good talks."
Chris, always one to break the tension in the worst possible way, grinned. "And sheâs got a fat ass, right?"
Nick groaned, and I shot Chris a look. "Dude, not the time."
Chris held up his hands in surrender. "Just saying."
The mood soured, I stood up, needing to clear my head. "I'm going to bed. Thanks for the talk, guys."
As I made my way back to my room, my phone buzzed. Emily had texted me: "Hey, can you pick me up? I'm at Alex's place."
I sighed, knowing I'd go pick her up despite everything. I couldn't shake the feeling that something had to change, but I wasnât sure if it would be her or me.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Y/Nâs POV
"He'll be here in about ten minutes." Emily said, reading out the message from Matt.
My heart danced but I had to maintain my composure.
We continued chatting until Matt's car pulled up outside. Emily grabbed her things, and I walked her to the door.
"Thanks for having me over," she said with a smile. "We should do this more often."
"We should" I replied, forcing a smile. "It was nice."
We stepped outside, and I spotted Matt waiting in his car. As we approached, he got out and walked over, his expression warm but tired.
"Hey, thanks for picking me up," Emily said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"No problem," Matt replied, his eyes briefly meeting mine. "Hi," he added, his smile softening as he looked at me.
"Hi," I responded, feeling a flutter in my chest.
"How was your evening?" Matt questioned.
"It was good," I replied, choosing my words carefully. "Emily and I had a nice time."
"Good to hear," he said, glancing at Emily. "Ready to go?"
"Yep," she replied, but then she turned to me. "We should all hang out together again, the four of us. Maybe we can plan another double date or something."
"Sounds good," I said, knowing that staying close to her meant more opportunities to see Matt.
As Emily climbed into the car, I took a moment to speak to Matt. "Hey, I just wanted to say... if you ever need to talk or anything, I'm here."
Matt looked at me, his eyes searching mine. "Thanks, I appreciate that. And same to you."
Just then, Emily reached over and playfully tugged Matt's arm. "Come on, let's go. I've missed you."
Matt turned to her, his expression softening. "I've missed you too," he said, leaning in to kiss her. Their interaction was sweet and intimate, a stark contrast to the tension I had sensed earlier.
Watching them together, my heart sank. The way Matt looked at her, the way he held her, it made me question everything. Had I misread his kindness? Was I seeing what I wanted to see rather than what was really there?
As they drove away, I stood there for a moment, feeling a mix of confusion and heartache. The connection I thought I had with Matt now felt uncertain, overshadowed by his obvious affection for Emily.
Mattsâ POV
The drive to Alex's was quiet, my thoughts a jumble of emotions. When I arrived, Emily was waiting outside, looking a bit worse for wear from her two day hangover but smiling when she saw me.
"Hey, thanks for coming to get me," she said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"No problem," I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral. Still wanting to keep my stance that how she acted on Saturday was out of line.
As Emily climbed into the car, y/n turned to me.
âHey, I just wanted to say... if you ever need to talk or anything, I'm here." I knew fully what she was referring to. Could she relate to me? Or was it just out of pity from the events she witnessed at the party.
"Thanks, I appreciate that. And same to you." We locked eyes for a moment, until Emily tugged at me and instantly broke the contact.
We got into the car and drove off as y/n waved us off. On the ride back home I couldn't help but think about Nick's words and the confusion I felt brewing in me surrounding y/n. Maybe it was time to seriously consider what I wanted and needed in a relationship. Emily had her good moments, but were they enough to outweigh the bad?
Only time would tell..

So because apparently both parties in my country oppose trans healthcare to some extent I want to make it very clear to cis people what healthcare they're opposing.
There's a lot of fearmongering about children undergoing medical transition. So I'm gonna walk you through what might happen to a child who is transgender and wants to go the full medical route. Let's say our hypothetical transgender child, I'll make him a him because I'm a him and I'll call him Rat because he named himself when he was 6.
So Rat would probably, unless he experienced precocious puberty, go on hormone blockers at age 9 or 10, a year or two before he would start experiencing puberty just to make sure he doesn't experience any female puberty symptoms. Then at about 13 or 14 he would have an appointment with his doctor and they would decide that he has been sure that he was a boy for many years now and he's at an appropriate age to start puberty, at which point he would be taken off the hormone blockers and put onto a dosage of testosterone that is typically of what his perisex camab peers produce naturally. Because he never produced estrogen he would not have grown breasts and not need top surgery. He would develop exactly how his camab peers develop.
Now I want to put an interlude here that literally all of this is reversible. At any point Rat could change his name back and go off the testosterone jabs and his ovaries would start functioning again and they would produce the appropriate estrogen to give him breasts and hips. He could take the same vocal training classes that trans women take, he could get laser hair removal on the places where appropriate, and it would be as if he'd never been on the hormones at all.
But he doesn't want to do that. He wants a penis so let's move onto that.
As far as surgery goes, he would not be able to have either metoidioplasty or phalloplasty until he was on hormones long enough to experience the necessary bottom growth to occur, which takes a couple of years. (At least that was what I was told in 2016 please lmk if standards have changed since then). So at this point we're already about 16 years old before surgery even comes up as an option at the doctor's office. And Rat, if he is particularly gung ho about getting a penis and his parents can afford it/insurance will pay for it, probably gets put on a waiting list for a consultation with a specialist in genital reconstruction. Let's say at that consult which probably takes a few months minimum to get into, he opts for the most similar to perisex male genitalia: phalloplasty with testicular implants. Right there we're looking at at least three different surgeries and not all of them are going to happen at the same time. He's 17 before he's ever even on the operation table and he's been consistently identified as male since elementary school. This is the fastest possible bottom surgery route I'm laying out for you here and he still not slanging it until senior prom when he'll give it an ill advised test run in the back of his parents Subaru with Kelly from the anime club. All of that is assuming there's a doctor who will do it for him that can fit him in. Some people wait years for surgery.
Now some people get top surgery younger, but guess what, breast implants both exist and can be removed. If a 14 year old gets a double mastectomy and regrets it when they're 23 they can get implants. If a 16 year old gets breast implants and regrets it when they're 20 they can get those taken out. Top surgery is not complicated and I've heard from guys who truely would not have made it if they hadn't gotten theirs done.
I know this won't convince anyone who opposes trans healthcare but I hope it at least explains transition to cis allies who support trans people getting healthcare but still might think minors not being allowed to have surgery is a moderate position. I invite any trans person to add onto this with a MTF perspective or how their surgeries helped them.

alright so, i said a few days ago that i might do a sponsored stream as a fun way of making some money. this was due to my upcoming move, and i was thinking about ways i could put together the inevitably huge moving costs, though i wasn't worried too much about it so this was more of a fun idea than an actual idea.
HOWEVER. yesterday was supposed to be the day that the roommates and i finally decided on the place we'd be going. we had 3 options, and ALL of them fell through for different reasons within a span of 5 hours. Plans A, B, and C all became unactionable seven days before our lease ends. as you can imagine, most of last night and this morning has been a lot of scrambling to put together a new, less advantageous solution out of (truthfully) desperation. and the one we have come to is costly, but unfortunately it's the only winning hand we can play right now. and we HAVE played it, and we HAVE secured a place to live, though only a month after our lease ends. before then, we'll need to pay for two months of a four-person rent, with only 3 people (since one person is moving home at the end of the lease).
with that in mind, in the near future (within the month probably), i'll likely be hosting a fairly straight-forward fundraiser stream. it's something that i've been avoiding for the past year on principle, as it's been important to me to make all of my money from an employer and not through the goodwill of strangers online. and i have been so far, which has been great! but my income (and the income of my roommates) is not the kind of pay that can account for sporadic $2,000 surprises with a one-month deadline out of nowhere, ya kno. granted, i'll still be busting my ass at my job, but the thing about working at a small company is that sometimes there's only so much work and so many hours to go around.
this stream won't be a followup to any previous Big Series streams (so no homestuck, sorry), but i will only move forward with it when i have an idea that i feel is actually worth a $2,000 stream. or at least the one that gets closest before the deadline comes knocking.
i apologize for needing to ask again for help like this, and i thank you for understanding.

Stressed - Travis Kelce
Travis Kelce x reader
Summary: Travis just wants to help you.
Word count: 1.5k
A/N: Trying to put more Travis fics out there, since there are barely any. This is my first time ever posting on here, please let me know what you think. Thanks and have a great day!
You sat at Travis's dining room table, looking over your stack of bills. It felt like they were never-ending, and it seemed like no mattered how much you worked there was never enough money.
You were constantly stressed, over everything. You couldn't even remember the last time you'd felt even slightly relaxed. The bills you received yesterday, were much higher than expected. Then you had to find time to work at your job while interning at KPMG, one of the top accounting firms. Not to mention you had 3 essays due soon along with multiple assignments. Plus Travis had some event he wanted you to attend, where you would officially be showing up as a couple.
You guys had decided to keep your relationship on the DL for the past year and managed to keep your relationship hidden from the public.
Travis placed a hand on your shoulder, making you jump. You hadn't even noticed that he'd gotten home. "Hey, it's just me." He chuckled, finding your reaction funny. You got up out of your chair, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. "Sorry," you mumbled before cleaning up the mess you'd created on his dining room table.
You quickly hid the bills under some of your notes, not wanting Travis to know you were struggling. You knew Travis all too well, knowing he would want to do anything he could to help you, whether that meant paying off your student debt or paying all of your bills. Hell, he'd probably even higher someone to write your essay's for you if you asked.
You were his world, and he was willing to do anything to make your life easier.
You quickly shoved the papers into your backpack, "I'll get started on dinner. I didn't realize what time it was." You said, getting ready to head into the kitchen.
"Hey," Travis grabbed your wrist, leading you back to him. "What's wrong?"
You blinked a few times, "Nothing, everything's fine. Just tired." You plastered a smile on your face, trying to be convincing. His eyes narrowed, clearly not believing you.
He sighed, deciding to let it go. "Why don't I cook tonight." He suggested, "You can go take a relaxing bath or something."
"Are you sure?" You asked knowing Travis didn't normally cook, "I can help if you want?"
"Babe, don't worry, I actually can cook, believe it or not." He laughed slightly.
"Not," you mumbled. You'd guys been together for a little over a year, and he hardly ever cooked. If you didn't feel like cooking, then you'd guys either order in, or he'd have his private chef come cook up a meal.
He slapped your butt as you turned to walk away, "I heard that." You laughed before rushing up the stairs to take a shower.
You loved Travis's shower, especially when he was with you. Sadly he was cooking dinner, so you had to enjoy the waterfall shower alone. At least you got to make the water scolding hot when you were alone, Travis always accused you of trying to burn your skin off with how hot you liked the water.
After your shower you changed into one of his shirts, that went to mid thigh on you and threw on some shorts you had in the dresser Travis had gotten for you 6 months ago.
You ventured down stairs with a smile on your face, feeling slightly relaxed after your shower. You could also smell the food from down stairs and it surprisingly smelled delicious.
Your smile quickly left your face when you turned the corner and saw Travis standing over your bag, with papers in hand. "What are you looking at?" You asked, despite already knowing what he was looking at.
Travis dropped the papers on the table, "Why didn't tell me you were struggling to pay your bills? Is this why you've been so distant lately?" His words were unexpected, you didn't think you'd been distant lately. You always tried to be in the present when you were with him.
You snatched the papers up and shoved them back into your bag. "You had no right to look through my stuff." You seethed. You couldn't believe he actually went in your bag and looked through your personal belongs.
"Well, I feel like I have to cause you'll barely talk to me anymore." Travis threw his hands up, frustrated at the situation.
You walked to the kitchen and grabbed your keys from the counter. You hated fighting and all you could think about was getting out of there before it got worse. "I have homework, I need to go home and finish it." You stated, walking out of his front door and to your car.
"Y/n" He called, following you. You ignored him, opening you car door and getting in. He caught the door before you could slam it shut. "Babe, don't leave please. We can talk about this."
"Trav," you pleaded. "I don't wanna fight right now. I just wanna go home."
"Bab-" you interrupted him by closing the door, starting your car and backing out of the driveway. He stood there watching you the whole time.
_____
The next day you had gotten up and went to your classes. Travis had been texting you all day, but you weren't responding.
You didn't know what to say, you felt like Travis had invaded your private information. Travis was an open book, he would tell you anything you asked. But you were more closed off.
You didn't trust people as easily as him. Maybe, because of the way you grew up. You learned to be independent form a young age and your mom always taught you to never trust anyone.
This caused some issues between you and Travis, even if you didn't realize. Like the time he bought you a car because, he didn't want you driving your old beater that had trouble starting up during the winter.
He worried that it would break down and you'd get stranded somewhere. Well, you're still driving that car and Travis has a spare car parked in his garage since he refused to return it.
You walked up to your apartment, feeling even more tired than normal. You hadn't been home all day, after your classes ended at 2 you went to the place you're interning at and worked until 6, then you went to your other job and worked till close.
It was now 11:15 and when you opened your door, you didn't expect to see Travis sitting on your bed. His head snapped up when the door opened and you walked through. "Trav, what-"
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have looked through your stuff. I don't wanna fight, I love you so much baby and it kills me when you're mad at me." He was now standing in front of you cupping your face with his hands. "I just want to make your life easier. You could've told me you were struggling. I would've helped you pay your bills."
You sighed, leaning into his hand. Travis loved physical contact, while you were the opposite. You hated hugging your friends, or anyone for that matter. But when it came to Travis you craved his touch. "That's why I didn't tell you. I knew you would want to pay for everything and fix it. I can handle it myself, I've been doing it for the past 22 years. "
"Just cause you have been doing it doesn't mean you still have too. I'm here now, you're not alone anymore." Tears started to well up in your eyes.
"But what happens when I become dependent on you, and you leave me" He tried to cut you off, to tell you that'd never happen but you kept going. "Trav, you have literal super models in your dm's. What if you wake up one day and realize you don't wanna be with me and you want to be with one of them." You were crying now, you'd never voiced these fears to Travis. He wiped every tear that fell away with his thumb. "Then I'm alone and I don't know how to function on my own anymore, because I'm so dependent on you."
"Babe, I'm never gonna leave you." He knew where these thoughts were coming from. "I'm not your father, I would never leave you because I thought I found something better."
"How do you know?"
"Because I already know that you're the best there is." He took your hand in his. "Babe, we fit together so well. You fit with my family so well. Jason and his family love you, my parents love you, and most importantly I love you. So I'm begging you to stop shutting me out. Turn to me when you need help."
"I love you too Kelce." He leaned down, his lips meeting yours. His tongue slipped between your lips, making you moan. You were certain that he was the best kisser in the world. This continued for a few minutes, you growing wetter by the minute.
"Move in with me." He said, his forehead resting against yours. Your eyes widening, "and before you say no, just know that I've been thinking about this for a while. This isn't a split second decision."
Your mind told you no, but for once you decided to listen to your heart. "Yes." He smiled, before his lips meet yours again. He lead you over to your bed and you two had the best night of your life.

Capitano x reader who embodies death:
Cw:Death, mostly angst, gn reader
A/N: This is so sad in my opinion, I love it!
You just showed up one day, and it seemed as though only he could see you. It unsettled him, the way plants would die behind you as you trailed him. You stayed silent, watching him in silence. One day, he had enough and needed to know what you were seeking from him. He talked to you when he was alone, so he wouldn't seem crazy to onlookers. Strangely, you were quite cooperative. "Who are you?" You looked at him before answering."People see me as many things, the Grim Reaper, the angel of death, and even death itself. But you, you can refer to me as (y/n)." He stared at you before asking "So you're here to reap my soul." "In the short-term? No, but later on in your life? Yes." He liked your straightforward answers. "So I'll die not too long from now." "If I got specific with when you would die you would panic, but what I can say is you won't die in a month's time but in a few years. It could be a decade, it could be a singular year, I can't say." He looked down before looking back up at you. "So I can assume you'll be here until then?" You nod. Capitano left to go to the place he needed to original, and as usual you followed him.
He didn't pay you any mind a few days after your first actual interaction, or at least he tried. Having someone silently follow them around would be unsettling for anyone, especially if there was no way you could get them to leave you alone. So he struck up conversations, and since you were death itself, you'd probably have seen it all. But he also liked hearing your genuine opinion on things or at least opinions you liked hearing. Although you were very unsettling, he began finding you quite endearing. In fact, he began loving. "Would you allow me to court you?" He asked one day and was shocked by your sudden somber look. Usually, you were more neutral, but for whatever reason, this time you seemed sad. "I can't, I would love you but I refuse to. Usually after death, most soles move on from what they knew, and if not they stay, roaming around." You said very sadly. "And even so, reaping one I love's soul would tear me apart." After you said that Capitano realized his selfishness. "Well, would you consider me after you reap my soul?" You winced "Please, I don't usually beg, but I truly enjoy your company. The afterlife would be painstakingly boring but you could make it better, that's what I believe." You looked down before thinking, truly, dearly, you enjoyed his company. You've always been alone, at least for now you didn't have to. "Fine, I will allow you to court me, but promise me that you won't let your soul be hung up on me, you will move on if I cannot join you." He nodded as you held his hand, "Very well, I'll allow you to court me."
Perhaps in the finality of death, you two would be together, or at least that's what you'd let him think. To put him at peace, truly you did love him, but unfortunately, you could not be with him. You weren't made for that. That's how things were. You had a job to do, so unfortunately you couldn't be with him. But at least for now, you could experience companionship.

Chapter 33 of human Bill is still the Mystery Shack's prisoner:
Stan takes Bill to get fillings from a creepy dentist in the back of a white van. And also they're handcuffed together the whole time.
Hijinks ensue.
Stan was startled from reading the paper by a shrill up-and-down whistle. Bill trotted into the kitchen, his voice a singsong lilt: "Incoming!"
Stan lowered the paper to glare at Bill. "Still doing that, are you?"
"Of course! I'd hate to scare you." Bill took the chair across the kitchen table from Stan. "Gooood morniâ"
"Go away." Stan determinedly returned his attention to an article about the deathball arena construction.
Bill laughed. "You're funny. Anyway!" He noted Stan's plate of eggs and salsa was hidden behind his newspaper, and quietly slid the plate across the table as he spoke. "I need you to do me the teensy, tiniest little favorâ"
"Nope."
"Take me to your dentist."
"No." Stan didn't even lower his newspaper. "The last time I took you anywhere, you almost made my niece cry, my brother left a Shopliftaholics Anonymous flier on my bed, and all I got out of it was a crummy ring. You wanna go somewhere, talk to Soos."
But, Bill noted, Stan was wearing said crummy ring. "Spend a day with that loser?" He rolled his eyes. "Please. I'd rather pry out my fingernails."
"You'd probably enjoy that, you freak."
"Not the point." Bill stuffed half an egg in his mouth. "Anyway, it has to be you. I need fillings, and Dr. Illing does them for free."
Stan squinted over the top of his newspaper. "How do you know about Dr. Illing?"
"What part of 'all-seeing eye' don't you get?"
Dr. Illing was a wandering dentist who spent the warm summer months in Gravity Falls. He squeezed his van and trailer into alleys between businesses in town, where he both lived and provided dental services until the police caught wind and chased him and his van out into the woods for a few days. On days with good weather, he'd pop open the back hatch of his nondescript trailer and set up a sign that read "COME INSIDE! FREE CANDY (for new patients)". He didn't attract many customers.
What really made him stand out was his unusual pay structure. He charged typical rates for regular teeth cleaning and dental maintenance; but if a patient had a cavity, he gave them a gold filling for free, and he paid them if he needed to pull their teeth.
Stan thought he was terrific. He hadn't had to pay for dental care in thirty years! Granted, he also wore dentures now; but hey, Dr. Illing had helped pay off Ford's mortgage, and at least the dentures were on the house.
Bill said, "You're the only one in the shack who knows all the places Illing might set up shop. Besides, he might be less jumpy in front of a stranger if an existing patient can vouch for it."
"I can see where you're coming from," Stan said. "But my answer is no, because I don't wanna."
Bill scowled in irritation. He sat back and ate another of Stan's eggs as he reconsidered his approach.
"StanleyâI'm a simple shape," he said. "A simple shape who's used to being coated peak to base in pure, lustrous, 24-karat gold. Having skin makes my skin crawl. I don't need any dental work done, these teeth are fineâbut I'd really, really like just a bit of gold, somewhere on my body, so I feel a little more like myself in my final days."
Stan muttered, "You're trying to appeal to sympathy I don't have, Cipher."
"And then, once I'm dead," Bill went on, "I suppose I'll be leaving behind a corpse with a mouthful of free gold that whoever's disposing of my remains can do whatever they want with, do you catch my meaning Stanley?"
Stan lowered his newspaper just enough to grimace at Bill. "That's absolutely disgusting," he said. "But okay, I'm bribed!" He tried to fold the newspaper. "If you want your mouth to fund me and Ford's next year of globe-trotting, fine by me. Least you can do for messing up our summer."
"Mhm." Bill shoveled the last egg into his mouth while Stan was distracted by the paper and slid the plate over to Stan's side.
Stan slapped the paper down. "But we're not telling Ford about this. Agreed?" He offered a hand to shake.
"Agreed." Bill took Stan's hand, with the wrong handâbut before Stan could figure out what to do with that, Bill jerked his hand back like he'd been burned. "We'll take this to our graves."
"Or to your grave, anyway!" Stan laughed loudly, slapping the table.
Bill watched him with a forced smile. "Great. Deal made. Let's go get the magic friendship bracelets andâ"
"Ohhh no," Stan said. "I'm not trusting a little bit of colored lace and some mystical hocus-pocus to keep you contained. If we're going anywhere, I'm making sure you can't escape."
"Okay," Bill said, a touch warily. "Fine. How?"
####
Soos took the handcuffs out of his toolbox, removed the key and stuck it in his pocket, and asked, "What side do you want it on?"
"Left," Stan said. "Gotta keep my punching arm free." Bill rolled his eyes.Â
Soos closed the cuffs on Stan's left wrist and Bill's right, then tightened Bill's half until it actually held his tiny wrist. "There."
"Ha!" Stan grinned at Bill. "Try escaping that!"
"I wasn't planning to escape."
"Sure, pull the other one." Stan pointed toward the door. "Now... to the car!"
####
They stared in dismay at Stan's car.
The El Diablo was a classic of the 1960s American automotive industryâand it was in terrific condition. (Notwithstanding the recent dents, scrapes, and keyed scratches in the paint reading "TRICK-OR-CHEATER!!") It came with the features standard to American cars of the time, like a steering wheel on the left, and a wide front bench that provided space for multiple passengers to sit to the driver's right side.
Bill was handcuffed to Stan's left side.
"Wow. You're stupid," Bill said.
"I'll break your smart mouth."
"What do I care, we're headed to the dentist anyway." He sighed. "Okay! Let's go inside and tell Questiony how stupid you are."
Stan did not want to tell Soos how stupid he was. "No! How do you know I didn't do this on purpose? Maybe having my right arm free is more important thanâer... driving."
Bill considered that with pursed lips. After a pause, he ventured, "Do you want me to driveâ?"
"No, no, nope, I am not letting you drive my car, under any circumstances, ever! Not a chance!"
"Then how are we doing this?"
####
Stan gripped the steering wheel with both hands, knuckles white and jaw clenched.
Bill was uneasily cuddled up against Stan's right side. The handcuff forced him to stretch his right arm across Stan's chest.Â
They were both wearing tank tops. Their bare upper arms were plastered together with sweat.
They were getting cricks in their necks from how far they were tilting their heads away from each other.
On the radio, a hit 50's soul song crooned romantically, "Oh, my sweet love... you're my lovely sweetie... and I never love you more, than when you're pressed to my side... as we go for a sweet loving car ride..." Neither of them could reach the radio dial without touching each other even more. They'd silently decided to pretend as hard as possible that they couldn't hear the radio.
"Welp," Stan said. "Out of all the times I've been handcuffed in a car, this is one of the worst."
####
They spotted Dr. Illing's "FREE CANDY" sign posted surreptitiously near the barrel and crate factory, and circled the block to park the car in front of a business that looked responsible enough to file a missing persons report if the car was still abandoned there by nightfall.
They tumbled out of the driver's side door with a maneuver that looked like a cross between a waltz and a mugging. Stan kicked the door shut. As they untangled themselves, in a surprisingly decent impression of Stan's voice, Bill said, "Gotta keep my punching arm free. How's that working out for you?"
"Bold words from a guy in punching range, you littleâ" As Stan finally separated himself from Bill and straightened out, he caught sight of Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland halfway up the block. "Oh, great. Cops. Exactly what you want around when you're doing something weird." Stan shook his head. "Well, as long as we go the other way and don't make eye contactâ"
"Hi Darryl! Hi Edwin!" Bill stood on his toes and waved wildly. "Hey! Working hard or hardly working? Haha!"
"Oh, hey Goldie!" Durland waved back, and he and Blubs headed their direction. "How've you been, did you have a nice Summerween?"
"Ahh, I was stuck in the houseâ"
"Bill," Stan hissed. "Whaddaya think you're doing? Do you want them asking questions?"
"Hey," Durland said, "Why're you handcuffed to Stan?"
Bill turned toward Stan. He smiled at him. It was a smile that said I did not think this through.
"You need some help there?" Blubs asked. "I bet we've got a key that matches that handcuff model."
Stan bet Bill would love to accept that offer and go traipsing off with the cops. "Nope! That's fine! Thank you officers, but we're keeping the handcuffs on," Stan said. "Because." He paused. "They're necessary. For... uh... for me."
The cops and Bill watched him expectantly. Bill had that awful gleam in his eyes that he got when he saw an opportunity to make up a story.
"Because I'm old," Stan said. "It's to keep me from wandering into traffic."
Bill laughed, "Yep, that's true!" He jabbed Stan's shoulder with a finger (harder than necessary, he thought). "This guy's cataracts are so bad, sometimes he asks us if he's dying because all he a see is a white light in a dark tunnel! And the way his mind's going, woofâ"
Stan growled, "All right you don't have to lay it on so thickâ"
"âhe's so addled it's like he's completely forgotten the last century of technology, he'll just walk right off the curb and expect the horse-drawn carriages to stop for himâ"
"Hahaaa, but we won't bore you with my medical history!" Stan jerked on the handcuffs. "C'mon, Goldie, you're gonna make me late to my heart doctor appointment. You don't want my life on your hands, do you?"
Bill murmured, "Don't threaten me with a good time."
"Hold on," Blubs said. "You can't see? Didn't we just see you get out of the driver's seat of your car?"
Stan and Bill exchanged a look. Stan said, "Goldie's giving me directions."
"Oh! That makes sense," Durland said.
"All right," Blubs said, "We'll let you get to your doctor's appointment. You folks have a nice day."
As the cops left, Bill called after them, "You too! Hey, I'll see you guys at Rainbow Club!"
"See you there!" Durland turned to Blubs. "Y'know, I think Goldie's a step up from that seeing-eye bear."
Bill and Stan eyed each other. "All right, you're not bad at improv," Bill said. "I can respect a decent actor."
"You too," Stan said grudgingly. Bill looked at Stan like he expected a little more than that; but Stan kept his mouth shut. Bill didn't need the encouragement.
####
Dr. Illing's "FREE CANDY" sign leaned hopefully near a gap in the fence around an overgrown lot by the barrel factory. The gap was large enough that a reasonably limber human could duck through with little difficulty; however, Stan was old and Bill was still controlling his alien body like a rookie puppeteer learning the marionette, so they circled halfway around the lot until they found a gate in the fence to push open. They trod across scraggly grass, a row of dying mushrooms, and years-old litter to reach an unmarked white van hooked up to a camper trailer.
The back hatch of the trailer was flipped up to serve as a makeshift metal awning, and inside, a tall, spindly man was snoring atop a military cot in his underwear, using a white lab coat like a blanket. Stan cleared his throat loudly, and when that didn't disrupt the snoring, knocked on the side of the trailer. "Hey! Doc!"
Dr. Illing jolted upright with a yelp, seized an enormous wireless power drill off the floor to point at them like a gun, lowered it slightly as he registered he wasn't under attack, then realized he was nearly naked and yelped again. He tumbled off the cot, flailed his way to his feet, and turned his back to them as he jerked on his coat and buttoned it. "Justâjust a second!" He got on one sock, couldn't find the other, and gave up, pulling on his sneakers with one bare foot. "Sorry, so sorry, I must'veâjustânodded off for a second, thereâ"
"Maybe we should have made an appointment," Bill said wryly. "He looks busy."Â Stan snorted.
Dr. Illing turned around, smoothing out his rumpled lab coat. He was a jumpy, twitchy man with heavy circles under his eyes, short badly-cut hair, and a 5 o'clock shadow that had evolved into a 25 o'clock shadow. His gaze darted nervously between their faces. "Sorry. Hi, hello, can I help you? Are you maybe here for a tooth extraction, orâor perhaps wisdom teeth removal...?" His gaze caught on Stan's face, and he started. "Stan Pines! I haven't seen you since I pulled your last tooth ten years ago! What are you doing here?" His brows creased in worry. "You'reâyou're not mad about that, are youâ?"
"What? No! The dentures areâfine. They're actually lower maintenance than teeth. Sort of. In a way," Stan said. "No, I'm here to refer a new customer." He pointed at Bill.
Bill made a gesture like he was tipping an invisible hat. "Hi there!"
"A customer?" Dr. Illing said blankly. "Ohâyes! Of course, hold onâ" He pulled a hospital curtain over the front half of the trailer to hide a dinette covered in laundry and old magazines, lifted one end of the military cot and slid a step stool under the legs to keep it raised, and tugged the arm of a dental light down from the ceiling to aim it at the chair.
Stan said, "So, do I get some kind of referral bonus, or..."
"Ohâsure, sure. Have a, uhh..." Dr. Illing opened a heavy yellow and black tool bag, pulled out a battered cookie tin, withdrew a gold coin, and offered it to Stan. "One of these or something, here."
"Huh." Stan inspected it. No idea what currency it was, but a gold coin was arguably cooler than actual cash.
The dentist batted aside the hospital curtain to grab a tiny stool from the dinette, shook a damp towel off the seat, placed the stool beside the cot, and sat. "Okay!" He clapped his hands. "New customer! What can I do you for?"
Bill had been gazing in naked longing at the bag hiding the gold coins; but at the question, he looked up with a grin. "I'm here for fillings!"
"Ah! Wonderful. No charge for fillings, of course." He started rummaging through his tool bag for supplies. "Do you know which teeth need them?"
"Whichever you think would look best with some," Bill said. "Driller's choice!"
Dr. Illing stopped rummaging to give Bill a perplexed look. "Iâsorry, come again?"
"I said I'm leaving it in your hands." Bill climbed into the trailer and put his free hand on Dr. Illing' s shoulder. "I'll be straight with you, Frankie: all that matters is that my teeth do not currently have any gold in them, and I want that to change by the time I leave. I'm not too picky about the details beyond that."
The dentist stared at Bill, then glanced at Stan for confirmation. Stan shrugged and nodded. "Oh-kay!" Dr. Illing wasn't quite smiling, but there was a strange, eager gleam in his eye. "Super! This'll be fun!" He gestured for Bill to sit on the cot. "Let's see what I have to work with."
He ushered Stan in, and pulled the trailer's hatch shut.
####
"Your teeth are amazing," Dr. Illing said, voice hushed with awe. "Perfectly white. Who's your usual dental hygienist? Did you just get these cleaned?"
"Nope," Bill said, forgetting for the third time that humans keep their teeth and their voice in the same hole and he shouldn't talk with the dentist's fingers in his mouth. Dr. Illing quickly pulled his hand back. "Just basic toothpaste, floss, and dish soap."
Dr. Illing shook his head in disbelief. "Well, they look amazing. And no wear at all, remarkable... Have you ever considered having any of these pulled? Do you mind if I take a few pictures?"
Stan shuddered as the dentist pulled out an old film camera and started snapping photos. "Yeesh. I forgot how creepy you are. Kinda glad I ran out of teeth."
Dr. Illing straightened up, snapped off the dental light, and sighed. "Well, I'm sorry to say that all your teeth are pristine. Not a hint of cavitiesânot even plaque. It'd be a shame to drill such pretty specimens. You're sure you don't want one pulled...?"
Stan grimaced, but Bill pursed his lips thoughtfully, as if he were considering a perfectly normal question. "As fun as that sounds, I said I want to leave with gold today, and the whole extraction-and-implantation process for gold teeth takes ages. Unless you happen to have a little secret magic trick to speed up the process?" Bill laughed, fixing Dr. Illing with a piercing stare.
Dr. Illing looked nervous. "Erâno."
"Then just the fillings. But who knows, maybe I'll feel naughty and be back in a couple of weeks." Bill laughed again. "Just pick a couple of your least favorite teeth to drill into!"
"Okay, suit yourself." Dr. Illing shrugged and fished around in an overstuffed cardboard box under the dinette table. "Let's gas you up and get drilling."
"You can skip the sedative," Bill said. "I don't mind a little pain. I prefer it, actually! It adds some zest to the experience..." He trailed off as he caught sight of the label on the gas canister Dr. Illing had pulled out. He pointed at a word, "I thought that additive was illegal."
Dr. Illing flinched guiltily. "Not in the state where I got it."
"Oh, buddy. I didn't realize I'd climbed into the party van!" Bill settled back on the cot, laced his hands behind his head, and got comfortable. "You know this stuff has something like sixty percent odds of causing hallucinations? Most people get either haloes around lights, or spiders. Go ahead, gas meâI wanna find out which I am."
####
In five minutes, Bill was overjoyed to report that the dental light had a spider halo. He did not explain what this meant.
Since Stan had typically been under anesthesia himself whenever Dr. Illing operated on him, this was the first time he'd had an opportunity to watch the dentist at work. Stan discovered that when Dr. Illing drilled into a tooth, he didn't suck the resultant dust up with one of those little dental vacuums with a plastic tube Stan was more familiar with. Instead, when a bit of dust had accumulated, he reached in with what looked like a cotton swab, wiped up the tooth dust, and scraped it off into a Petri dish; and only then did he use the vacuum to suck out any saliva and continue. Was he saving the leftover tooth dust? He was an even bigger creep than Stan had thought.
By all appearances, Bill didn't handle the gas well. It wasn't that it made him sick, or that he wasn't having the time of his life. It just made him completely forget how to operate a human body. When Dr. Illing told him to hold his mouth open, he also held his eyes open until they watered; and whenever he lost the battle to keep them open, he automatically shut his mouth too, often to his own peril as Dr. Illing shouted about the drill jostling. Within ten minutes, Dr. Illing had given up on convincing Bill to keep his mouth open and instead started giving him blink breaks when he could shut his mouth.
It helped some, but they couldn't do anything about the fact that Bill had fully forgotten he couldn't talk while getting dental work done, and kept up a regular chatterâduring which he cheerfully mentioned he'd died recently, attempted to explain that the entire universe was actually an elaborate hologram projecting from the "true" third dimension, and asked Dr. Illing all about the cruise to Panama he'd recently stowed away on (which the dentist hadn't mentioned). During one blink break, as Bill closed each eye separately, Dr. Illing leaned toward Stan and muttered, "So... what's her story?"
Stan tilted his head toward the Petri dish. "What's with the tooth shavings?"
Dr. Illing considered that, slowly nodded, and got back to work.
####
After several hours, Dr. Illing wiped his brow and sighed in relief. "All right, that should do it. You've got fillings on five teeth now." Under his breath, he muttered, "It would have been two, if you hadn't kept talking while I was drilling."
Stan shook his head in amazement. "Doesn't that hurt?"Â
"Yes," Bill said. "I've never felt pain like that before. What a rush."
"If you do come back for a tooth extraction, I'm getting a dental gag to keep your jaws open." Dr. Illing finished pulling out the array of clamps and barriers around the filling sites and wearily dropped down onto his stool. "There. The rest of the sedative should wear off gradually over the next few hours. Usually I tell patients to wait three or four hours before eating to let the swelling go down, but..." He waved wearily. "You can do whatever you want."
"Admit it, you like having an enthusiastic patient!" Bill heaved himself off the military cot, forgot he couldn't float, and immediately collapsed to the floor.
"Whoa thereâ" Stan helped Bill back to his feet. The handcuffs prevented him from getting an arm around Bill's back, so instead he helped keep him upright by firmly squeezing his upper arm. "I don't know about you, but I'm eating as soon as we get home. You made me miss lunchâand for some reason, I feel like I barely had any breakfast." Bill inexplicably found this declaration hilarious. Probably the sedative, Stan reasoned.
Bill waved at the dentist as Stan tugged him out the trailer's hatch, chattering the whole way: "Thanks for the gold, the sock you were looking for is a bookmark in the March issue of Floss Girls, Atlantis is rising as we speak, you have less than seven years to prepare for the plague, tell the little lady I said hi! Byyye!"
Stan squeezed Bill's arm tighter and muttered, "Would you cut that out?
Bill stumbled across the uneven lot. "I made up the part about Atlantis."
"Okay just shut up and stop saying weird things."
Bill attempted to walk sideways all the way back to the car.
####
Stan gripped the steering wheel so tightly, his arms were trembling.
Bill was sprawled all over the front bench, the dashboard, the seatback, and Stan's shoulders.
On the radio, a hit 80's R&B song with a sexy saxophone was playing, "Babe, the sad things you've been through... I swear I'll make it up to you... If it takes a thousand years..."
Bill was singing at the top of his lungs directly in Stan's ear, "I'LL WIPE AWAY ALL YOUR TEARS, WOO!âsax solo!âBA DA-DA DA, BA DA-DAAAâ"
Stan turned off his right hearing aid.
Every once in a while Bill attempted to grab the steering wheel and turn it in time to the song, like a kid playing in a toy car; Stan had given up telling him to stop and instead started just smacking his hand away every time he tried. After another smack, Bill draped his arm awkwardly over Stan again, and announced, "I can't feel my tongue at all! I bet I can chew it off!"
"Don't do that."
"The last time my mouth was this numb, my girlfriend had just gotten done with me, haha." Bill stuck his finger in his mouth to experimentally poke at his tongue. "I couldn' thee for the nex' hour from all the thporethâ"
"I swear if you don't shut upâ"
Bill flopped his arm across Stan again. "I just realized I haven't gotten any action since I died. Wow. What's normal for humans, couple times a week until you start the slow lingering decline toward death?" He looked straight at Stan. Stan could feel that side of his face start to sweat. "This isn't a weird time to bring that up, is it?"
"Bill, if you say one more weird thing, you're riding home on the roof of the car."
Bill was quiet for three seconds. And then he started poking Stan's bicep. "Your arm's a lot meatier than Sixer's! What's your favorite flavor of cancer?"
####
Mabel asked, "Why are you on top of the car?"
Billâeyes wide, hair disheveled, one arm hanging through the driver's door, sprawled out clinging to the roof like his life depended on itâreplied, "I don't know, it's all a blur."
Stan opened the car door and jerked on the handcuffs. "All right, get off my car."
Bill shakily climbed off, lay in the dirt, and tried to catch his breath. "That was fun. We should do that more often."
"Not on your life."
Eyeing the handcuffs, Dipper said, "What were you doing, anyway?"
"Nothing!" Stan snapped. "Why? Who's asking? I wasn't sneaking the demon out to get a shady back-alley dental procedure!"
Mabel and Dipper stared up at him.
Stan pointed at them. "What are you doing?"
"Going camping," Dipper said, turning so Stan could see his stuffed backpack.
"Something's been stealing Pacifica's alpacas at night, so we're going on a stake-out," Mabel said. "They took Giorgio. It's personal now."
"We think aliens might be abducting them," Dipper said.
From the ground, Bill said, "It's not aliens."
"Ah, taking the law into your own hands. It builds character," Stan said approvingly. "You need firearms?"
They exchanged a glance. "We're good," Mabel said. "Grunkle Ford loaned us his freeze ray. It seems less lethal."
As the kids headed toward the road, Bill finally heaved himself up. "Well, that was fun!"
"No it wasn't," Stan said.
"Your opinion doesn't matter. Anywayâ" He shook his cuffed wrist. "We're home, get me out of this thing. It makes you look like my ugly accessory and I want my hoodie."
"I elevate your whole look!" Stan protested. "And I don't have the key, it's with Soos."
Mabel turned back to shout at them, "Soos is out! He's got a dinner date with Melody!"
Stan grimaced. "Uh-oh."
Bill shrugged and said, with a confidence Stan didn't share, "He left the key behind."
####
"Oh man, sorry dudes," Soos said over the phone. "I totally forgot I still had it. Yeah, it's on my key ring. Is that, like, gonna be a problem, or...?"
"It's fine," Bill said, sitting atop Soos's office desk and leaning all the way across it to reach the phone. "Just pass it through the phone, we'll catch it."
"What?"
"Ignore him." Stan shoved Bill's face away. Bill gave him a dirty look as he straightened out his eyepatch, which he'd finally gotten to put on once they were home. Stan spun the desk chair away from Bill so he couldn't try to join the conversation again. "He's hopped up on psychedelic laughing gas. When are you gonna be back?"
"Uh..." Soos thought for several seconds. "Nooot for a while. Abuelita and I were talking about maybe kind of staying the night?"
"Wellâpfffâcan't you duck out and bring the key?"
"Uhhh. I would but, this is the first time Abuelita and I are having dinner with Melody's parents, and I'm really worried about impressing them parents, and the casserole's about to come out, and I think they might judge me if I leave, it would probably ruin dinner..."
"Okay, fine. What if we drive over to get the key?"
Far louder than necessary, Bill asked, "Stanley can I drive this timeâ!"
"Absolutely not!"
"Oh sure, that'd be fine," Soos said. "I'll give you directions, Melody's parents' place is in Portland. You got a pen?"
Stan frowned. "Portland."
"Yep."
"As in, outside the magic bubble trapping Bill in town."
Soos paused. "Oh, right."
Well, Stan wasn't about to make Soos look bad in front of his future in-laws. He'd never had in-laws, but he'd seen enough sitcoms to know how messy that could get. "Never mind. We'll figure something out. You kids enjoy dinner." Stan hung up the phone, sighed, and turned to face Bill. (Bill had plucked a figurine of a bulky robot in a cute girly pose off of Soos's desk, and was staring at it in wonder, like he'd never seen overpriced anime convention merch before.) "You got any other bright ideas?"
"We could still call Darryl and Edwin..."
"No way," Stan snapped. "I am not calling the cops for help! Never gonna happen. I'd rather wait for Soos to get back in the morning if I have to!"
"Oh would you." Bill laughed scornfully. "And what do you plan to do until then?"

They got TV dinners and grumpily watched Cash Wheel together.

(This entire chapter was just an extended excuse to annoy Stan and Bill as much as possible. But mostly Stan. Thanks for reading, and if you enjoyed I'd appreciate a comment or reblog!!)
