Homeric Hymn 26 to Dionysus :

"I begin to sing of Dionysos ivy-crowned (kissokomes) the loud-crying (eribromos), splendid son of Zeus and glorious Semele. The rich-haired Nymphai (Nymphs) received him in their bosoms from the lord his father and fostered and nurtured him carefully in the dells of Nysa, where by the will of his father he grew up in a sweet-smelling cave, being reckoned among the immortals. But when the goddesses had brought him up, a god oft hymned, then began he to wander continually through the woody coombes, thickly wreathed with ivy and laurel. And the Nymphai followed in his train with him for their leader; and the boundless forest was filled with their outcry. And so hail to you, Dionysos god of abundant clusters (polystaphylos)! Grant that we may come again rejoicing to this season, and from that season onwards for many a year."

On the final of the 12 days, we honor Demeter and Poseidon alongside Dionysus. Khaîre, happy gods! We thank you for the gifts you bestow upon us! Mother Demeter, we thank your grace for full bellies and happy relationships, for justice and order in the world and nature, for the changing of the seasons and the birth & death of the earth. King Poseidon, we thank your majesty for helping us navigate the tides of life, for lifting us above the waves and holding us close when we slip under, for keeping watch as we tread in times of uncertainty. Lord Dionysus, we thank your awesomeness for the ability to see one another, to love and be loved, to demand respect and command confidence, to unite the divided in love-filled freedom. We thank you, oh splendid daimons, for the wonders you expose us to. Thank you for always being there, may we continue to live and grow in your life. Khaîre, on the last of these 12 joyous days! King Zeus, thank you for bringing order to the cosmos, for providing fertile rain for our crops, for bringing justice to the offended. Queen Hera, thank you for blessing the skies with glorious stars, for freeing the wronged, for keeping a protective hand and eye on us as we grow and love. Small clarification about my last post! You don't need to embody a deity's domain for them to be your patron. I am a devotee to Hera and I plan to never get married! I am a devotee to Ares and I suck at any physical skills. But I am loyal and fierce, so it makes sense right?

The Gods love you, even if you suck at art for Apollo or don't drink for Dionysus.
