#i'll miss this show so much

Well, Pokémon Journeys has now unfortunately ended, and I am an emotional wreck right now because I won't get to see Goh or Ash on the next season...I'm going to miss them both so so much. Goh was such a relatable character for me both in personality and backstory (well, what we got of his past anyway...I would've loved to have seen more), and I headcanoned him as neurodivergent from episode 1, and I still hold that headcanon to this day. I was actually watching Journeys for Goh more than Ash because of how much I liked his character and relatability. I'm a huge Goh fan and he is my favorite character in all of Pokémon. There, I said it. Goh's my favorite character and nothing can change that for me.

Ash on the other hand...wow. I never thought they would even dare to change the protagonist of the anime after having Ash and Pikachu as the main focus for 25 years, but they're actually doing it and that feels bittersweet. I grew up watching Ash's adventures starting in the DP era of the anime when I was around 10 years old myself, and I kept watching since. It's gonna be weird not seeing him on my screen anymore for the new Scarlet and Violet anime, that's for sure...I am happy that they ended his journey with him becoming world champion though, that's a great way to wrap it up in my opinion.

So in celebration of these characters and their dynamic, I drew this picture of them. This is the first time I ever drew Goh, and the second time I ever drew Ash, so I'm not familiar with drawing them yet and I'm not the best at drawing, especially hands...I hate how the hands turned out so just ignore them if you can, I know they're horrible, hands are hard okay...? 😅

Thank you Pokémon Journeys, for everything. It's been an amazing ride and I'm glad I saw it to the end.

I'm sad to see this show go, I watched it since early season one and loved to see how far it would go. The final was amazing, waves of emotions over the story.. and the animation. I didn't draw nearly enough fanart for show, but I am now. As with Luz's Titan fusion form I just had to draw it, it's so cool. This whole final was cool.

I also was trying out a different brush so hope it looks nice!! :]

On one hand, I wasn’t thrilled with Emma’s ending because it made it seemed like she never really loved Cnut but instead loved the power he gave her (maybe I’m interpreting it wrong though since I binge watched it back to back right after pulling an all-nighter. Loved to hear your thoughts on it). On the other, Harefoot was freaking gorgeous and was completely on board with Emma (much to Godwin’s anger) and they would make a smoking couple. Honestly after being married so young to her first husband who was so much older, Emma has earned the right to go full MILF and manipulate her step-son. Plus, ignoring history, she could use her power over him to her advantage to get him to name of her son’s his heir until he has a child of his own

alright i gotta be honest with you, i really loved emma's ending though! as much as she enjoyed the fact that cnut gave her power, she genuinely did love him. these two aspects of her character can co-exist! i actually cried when he told her that she brought him joy, and she replied that he brought her joy as well...

also, making two funerals (the first one being the official christian burial and the second one a viking funeral only attended by his viking warriors) for cnut just shows how much she cherished him by honoring his viking legacy and his place as england's first viking king.

but she, of course, moved on because she's an emotionally powerful, independent force of a woman. and seeing her pulling up her cunning game on harefoot was so on-brand of her!! godwin tried to get her sidelined but she's about to keep her position by using harefoot's emotions and potential feelings for her so she can't be seized, and i respect that.

i'm sure even godwin respects her hustle as well at this point because, if anything, both emma and godwin share those manipulative and intelligent braincells as they read each other's minds while trying to outwit each other lol. anyway, great show, amazing characters, phenomenal dynamics and hot people. 10/10 no notes <3

one of my irl besties i follow on twitter and i do NOT get her posting style. irl our senses of humor play so well together that we have been complimented by strangers at the store on how funny our idle conversations are, but i look at her posts and feel nothing but confusion. i can't figure out what it means OR what's funny about it. i don't know if i'm misreading the tone, or if her online circles just have a totally different posting style than mine, or what, but her posts are incomprehensible to me!
