there was an ache in my heart when i awoke in a strange, beautiful world that wasn’t my own. even as months turned to years, i still missed the familiar skies, the voice of loved ones and the home i had left behind. i wrote letters that went nowhere and whispered silent prayers that reached no one. it was like i was plucked from my own reality and placed in a world where i didn’t quite belong.

yet, as much as i longed for home, i was determined to learn in this new life. sumeru became my sanctuary and the akademiya, my solace. i learned their languages, customs, and secrets while sharing stories of the stars, landmarks, and beauty of my own world. the scholars listened, fascinated by the similarities and differences, but none more than al-haitham—a student assigned to guide me through this foreign land. he was a quiet presence. thoughtful and curious. he did not pity me.

and over time, he went from guide to peer to something more. over time, i wasn’t just seeking knowledge but also him. but what was the point? what was the point of falling for him if one day, i could just disappear—vanish back to my world, leaving him and teyvat behind? this could slip away at any moment. this might be as fleeting as a dream.

despite all reason, i still found myself loving him deeply. in a world that wasn’t my own, he had become my home.

I'm really glad to have found the Hermitcraft fandom here on Tumblr, I've been a long time fan and it's awesome to discover all this great fanart and content and stuff. Any must-follow MCYT/Hermitcraft/Minecraft blogs?

oh gosh, welcome! in general i am BAD about remembering who i follow and who i don't; a great way to find who you want to follow might be to just go through the #hermitcraft tag and follow people you find funny, or, heck, if i reblog a lot of art from a certain artist you like (or not a lot, like one art even), go follow them!

while we're here, a few additional general etiquette rules (keeping in mind that like, this is tumblr, trying to claim ANYTHING is a whole-community norm is basically impossible i am claiming a norm from my specific circle of guys): do not crosstag, only tag things that are actually in your post. don't use the 'minecraft' tag, that tag is for people who like the actual game. (i mean, you can use it if you are posting about minecraft, but not if you're posting about the youtubers). it's generally considered rude to put your crit in the main tags, especially without tagging 'discourse' somewhere so it can be filtered. shipping should generally have a 'hermitshipping' tag on it for filtering purposes as well, but if something is tagged hermitshipping and you're mad about it just like, block them, they did the important part.

El clearly shows signs of sexual interest in Mike. Don't ignore her. It is not her fault they don't kiss in the desert, she is waiting for it. She wants to get touchy feely and passionately make out in the first scene of S3. It just takes two to tango. She is frustrated when he removes her hands and starts to sing. Probably his usual MO. She tries - real hard - to passionately kiss in the S3 finale. Even when reuniting in S2 she immediately tries to kiss an unmoving Mike. Not everything is always perfectly balanced and their relationship is definitely not.

Do not blame El for the sexlessness of Mileven! She would be game, it's not her fault he doesn't like girls.

Visiting the well in Kakariko in ToTK and the music is really cool? The normal music of Kakariko gets quieter and the drums in the background get a little louder so what you get is a really quiet drum beat which is REALLY FUCKING COOL? I feel something very particular when I think about pill bugs. Because they aren't bugs, really, they're crustaceans—tiny, land-dwelling isopods. And whenever I see them I just think. Look at you, little sojourner. So far from your home. Up here in the sun and the cool breeze, barely noticed. Miles away from the chaos beneath the waves. Off on your own journey, with nothing to prove to the world, I think. Wandering from your ancient home for your own reasons. And you roll into a ball! That's your defense! No poison, so spines... you just roll up, and say "don't mess with me please. don't bother me. please come back later." Small, and alone, but unafraid. Unflappable. You'd have to be, to come all this way. Just walking. Just going about your business. And I want to ask, "why are you here? what did you come for?" But the pill bug can't give me an answer. Not because it's a bug, I don't think. It's just not in their nature. Pill bugs are a quiet sort of bug. Quiet and contemplative. I think.

But I want to say... I know. I know you're on a long journey, little pill bug. Most people don't. After all, you're so unassuming. You could be any other bug. But you aren't. You're on a long journey, far from home, and I don't know why. But I wish you well. Good luck in your travels little pill bug, wherever you're going.

something i realized in the recent years is that while my mom is a very nice person and i can understand why she is the way that she is sometimes, she had a history of always dismissing and throwing away things that were important to me, and in hindsight that certainly had an effect on both my trust in her and how much i was willing to ever share, and also just turned me into a dumpster goblin because i just gave up on ever having nice things so why bother ever caring about my personal space at all ✌️ i'll just live in the filth because we'll never have anything better after all !!
