I'll tell you something... I genuinely think that Jude would be the kind of dad to talk to the baby (even if they're newborns). And by talking, I mean literally have a whole conversation lmao. Maybe it would be cute to write about it. Or maybe just a sweetie, simple story about how he could be the only one who could comfort the baby when they're crying... Stuff like that.

It’s only been a few weeks after the birth and every night you wake up when the baby cries so Jude can sleep cause you know he has training and need his sleep. But now he has like a week break, and it’s like 2am and the baby start crying, he wakes up and sees you about to get out of bed but he stops and says he take care of it and for you to go back to sleep, he goes to the nursery and takes the baby out the crib and seeing he just needs a diaper change and it’s time for some milk. So he changes the diaper and gets the milk from the kitchen making it and warming it up before giving it to the baby. He’s sat in the rocking chair, and starts talking to the baby. He’s talking about how good of a mum you’ve been and how he needs to start helping more, but then he talks about training and how he can’t wait for the baby to meet his uncles soon. When he realizes the baby is asleep he carefully puts it back in the crib with a soft smile and looks at the door to see you standing there. He walks over to you and all you say is “you do enough Jude and you’re a great dad” cause you heard how he said he needs to do more.

a/n: it's 2am so i'm striking with another update lmao 💜 is2g after i'm done with this event you guys will be throwing up at the slightest mention of a heeseung drabble

Stopping dead in his tracks, Heeseung looks at you with confusion. He's just come back from work only to see your curled up posture on the couch, one that you have once claimed to hate sleeping on, which makes him wonder if he did anything to annoy you to such degree today. Silently, he runs over every little thing he's said to you, considering how or why could they make you so angry that you didn't want to sleep with him tonight.

He gives up eventually and walks up to you with a sigh. His tall figure steps in front of you, disturbing you from watching the newest episode of your favorite tv show. You peek up at him from above the blanket covering you from your feet all the way up to your nose.

"Oh, you're back!' You gasp happily, dropping the blanket down to stretch your arms out in a form of a hug invitation.

There's not even the slightest tint of anger in your voice which slightly calms Heeseung's nerves. He plops down next to you, instantly wrapping his arms around your smaller body.

Then he asks, clearly still bothered. "Why don't you wanna sleep with me tonight? Your back is gonna hurt from the couch again."

You internally coo at his worried face, big deer eyes peering at you with confusion. You smile sheepishly.

"There's a spider in our bedroom."

A spider. In our bedroom. It takes him couple seconds to even process your words properly. All of the tension leaves his body like air from a pierced balloon and he groans, pinching the bridge of his nose in between his fingers.

"And here I was worrying that I said something wrong or shit," he sighs, glancing at your pleading face from the corner of his eyes. He sighs again. "Fine. I'll be right back."

"Just don't kill it!" You call after him, pulling your knees up to your chest. "Catch it and let it out, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. I know," he dismisses you with a wave of his hand before disappearing behind the wall.

You wait patiently for him to come back, wiggling your feet happily as you realize you'll actually be able to fall sleep tonight without having to stress about this little anomaly.

"There's no spider in here, YN!"

Your blood runs cold. What does he mean no spider. It was there half an hour ago, carelessly dangling from your ceiling right above your pillow.

You're still stiff when Heeseung comes back from the bedroom and crouches down in front of you. Placing his hands on your knees and squeezing them gently, he brings your attention back to him.

"You sure you didn't imagine it?"

His question has you scoffing and you cross your arms over your chest. "Yes, I'm sure," you say, squinting your eyes at him. He only rolls his own pair at your dramatic behavior. "Have you really checked everywhere?"

"Every single corner," he assures, placing his palm on his chest, right where the heart beats underneath his skin. "I promise it's not there. Must've ran away or something."

You stubbornly shake your head. "I'm not going anywhere. Heeseung, there's a beast roaming around our bedroom somewhere."

"Lord, give me patience," he murmurs quietly, deflating underneath your hard expression again. "Love, just please, come to bed," he groans, slowly giving up on the idea of actually getting any sleep tonight. He drops his head down on your lap. "I swear it won't come near you, alright? I'll tuck you in so tightly that it won't even find a place to slip underneath the covers."

You sigh, grabbing his hand hopefully. "You promise?"

He raises back to his feet, leaning down to press a kiss on your pouty lips. "I promise."

He lets out an internal cheer when you finally nod your head. Heeseung pecks your lips again, then repeats the gesture a little more fervently couple more times before slipping an arm underneath your knees and throwing you over his shoulder. He smacks your butt gently, earning an annoyed combo of a groan and a click of your tongue from you.

"Now, let's finally go to bed. I swear I haven't had a good night's sleep ever since I met you."

Which is to say we have a sixth or maybe seventh, which is impressive because the only one to rival those numbers is Daisuke.

Not that anyone should be surprised that the sad crispy chicken wing and the precious cinnamon roll are the fan favs for writing.

I am, I will admit, slightly surprised by the comparative lack of Jimmys, but I can understand why that could be...daunting, to say the least. Inhabiting the head of someone like that is probably not fun for most people.

But we got three great Jimmys and I think I spotted a couple more newcomers, and there's finally a second Swansea!

We really are gonna need to make a centralized directory for everyone in the next couple days lol. I can toss something together on maybe like Tuesday if no one's gotten to it before then.

Ideally I'd like the directory to have notation of who's doing dark themes, including Toxic Yaoi (TM) so that folks who are just starting to get to know the group can opt out of that stuff if need be.

It would probably also be good to have some agreed-on tags for common themes for consistency's sake. That way it's easy to avoid or alternatively look for something specific. Some of us get real creative with our tags and that's not bad but it'd be nice to have some overarching ones for cohesion without straying too much into more normal tags and possibly clogging those again.

We could theoretically start organizing into more cohesive crews if folks wanted; I like the way we're kind of all in limbo for now, personally, like we all came from different places and just kinda ended up here in this liminal space that is the ship but isn't, and doesn't belong solely to any one crew. It gives a lot of flexibility so I don't actually think that needs to change.

If other folks feel differently, though, that's totally fine. I know that when we started a few days ago there was one crew in particular under captain-g-curly that was pretty cohesive...and then grew as we all joined up and got to add so many fun folks to our midst.

My suggestion is that in the coming days we run some polls and have some ooc discussions among folks who'd like to have a bit of organization for the back end so that as mods we can keep branching plotlines and blogs we interact with less often straight, mentally.

This could, theoretically, end up in a discord server. I don't know that I'd interact much but if that's what other people want, one can be made.

I know this might seem overly elaborate. It might seem too structured. Even stuffy.

...at which point I can only point you to this blog thus far and ask if you think that maybe I picked a workaholic middle-aged ship captain to roleplay because I am in fact the sort of person who finds stuffiness and structure and regulation to be relatable and comforting lmao.

The answer, needless to say, is yes.

so I can't talk about this on twitter without risking life and limb with some crazyass fucking right wing conspiracy theorists and elite-brained condescending assholes showing up in my replies, but right now I'm basically in the direct eye path for hurricane milton here in central florida and it's sooooooooooooo much to process and anticipate, I have been struggle bussing for a few days. like not sleeping well and having difficulty eating much more than nibbles. it sucks! it's terrible

we're far enough inland from the coast that we aren't in a flood or surge zone, but I've got low-key trauma from the trees that fell all around us during Ian in 2022 and almost getting nailed by a limb falling on my brother's car. worst nightmare is definitely a 100yo oak tree coming through the roof in the middle of the night. it happens! I just don't want it to happen to us. we've got plywood boarded up over the big picture windows but all the smaller bedroom windows are uncovered and I just hope it's enough to make a difference. the storm won't make landfall until probably 12-2am Thursday or thereabouts and waiting all day for it to really ramp up is going to be. sickening. considering we'll probably lose power a few hours beforehand and then have to sit through the screaming wind and house shaking all night in total dark

I have supplies, candles and batteries and food and water, but the cell towers will absolutely go down and we'll probably be without phone data for 3-4 days minimum, depending on how fast they can get them up and running. because even if they get one tower up, everybody is trying to access it at the same time with their data and getting a signal is like fighting for your life lmao, ANYWAYS

Arriving at the airport after a 1-day flight. You took out the camera to continue the series of vlogs that you posts every day and which you started the week of the warm-up match against Ireland. 

"Hey guys how are you today? Personally I'm pretty good-" you said before being cut off by your teammate Selma Bacha.

"She's only in a good mood because she's going to see her girlfriend again tomorrow" she said before catching up with Grace Geyoro and Viviane Asseyi to escape you. 

"I mean she's right, I'm going to see Ellie again tomorrow." you say with a big smile before getting back on topic. 

"Anyway, we've just arrived in Melbourne to get ready for the game against Australia on the 15th of July. Honestly, I think it's going to be a tough match,  it's not at the same level as Ireland, even though Ireland had some very good players. So we're going to have to move our asses to try and win the match. I'll make a transition to show you my room at the hotel afterwards," you say before hiding your camera with your hand and turning it off.

Once you’re arrived at the hotel, and found out about the accommodation for the coming week, you were relieved to find yourself with Selma, your partner since the Olympique Lyonnais academy.

When you woke up, Selma saw that you were still asleep, which was strange because, apart from when you are with Ellie, you are an early riser. It was when she saw the phone in your hands that Selma realised why you still hadn't woken up. So she had the wonderful idea of surprising you. Selma walked over to your camera to start the vlog of the day. 

"Hi guys, it's Selma, I know you were expecting to see Y/N/N, but she's still asleep, she hasn't had the best night, so to change that I'm going to call Ellie, because I know she's already awake, get her over here so she can wake up our favourite person. It's clearly a genius idea". She says as she picks up her phone and dials Ellie's number. 

"Hey Ellie, I'm sorry to bother you but would you like to come to our hotel right now? Because I have to tell you, Y/N/N didn't have the best night of her life. She was still asleep when I woke up, with her phone in her hands, and I think she's been on the internet again to see what people are saying about her," said Selma, worried about you. 

"Don't worry, you're not bothering me. Oh yes, why not, it's a good idea and it'll be good for her not to think about it while I'm with her" said Ellie, going back to her room to get her things, a Matildas tracksuit set. 

"Okay good, and yes, I think so too. I'm going downstairs to let the receptionist know you're coming so you don't get turned away," said Selma as she started to leave her room and head for reception. 

"Ok thanks, I'll be there in 10 or 15 minutes, see you later" said Ellie as she hung up.

So then I took my turn Oh, what a thing to have done And it was all yellow

Once Ellie arrived outside the hotel, she was immediately greeted by one of the receptionists. "Hello, what can I do to help you?" asked the hostess. 

"Hi, I'm Ellie Carpenter, Y/N Lacazette's girlfriend, I've come to visit her. Her flatmate, Selma Bacha, told me she'd told you?" said Ellie, hoping she hadn't given the wrong information. 

"Oh yes, I see, well Mrs Carpenter, your girlfriend is on the 3rd floor, room 312. Have a nice day" said the hostess. 

"Thank you very much, have a nice day too" thanked Ellie before taking the lift to room 312 on the 3rd floor. Arriving at the door of the room, Ellie took out her telephone to warn Selma.

After spending the morning in bed, our lovebirds got up and got ready, although you preferred to keep Ellie’s jumper, to join Caitlin Foord, and Sam Kerr at a restaurant for lunch time. When they got there, you were greeted by whistles because of the yellow clothes you were wearing. 

"That's the last time I wear yellow for you Els" you say with your cheeks flushed. 

"Don't say that, yellow suits your tan" laughs Sam before saying hello. 

"I'm going to leave again if you don't stop" you tried to intimidate the 3 matildas. Once the meal was over, the 4 people decided to go their separate ways, Sam and Caitin heading back to their hotel, and Ellie and you to your hotel, but before you could do so Caitlin turned round to say. "We'll be waiting for you in 6 days Y/N/N, I hope you're ready to lose", narrowly missing the middle finger you gave her.

Shōta sat at his desk, a tired sigh escaping his lips as his eyes wondered from the stack of papers he was grading over to a glass orb that could fit in the palm of his hand. His gaze softened, his eyes reflecting how tired he really was off the glass. He picked up the orb and held it in his hand, scared that even the wrong move could cause the glass to shatter.

If it’s not partying — it’s all nighters. If it’s neither of those then it’s his insomnia raging out of control. He’s seen more sunrises than he cares to admit aloud. He’s not letting it effect him. At least that’s what he tells himself. The insomnia is good for making sure he gets all his work done even if he’d rather be out with friends distracting himself from his inability to sleep.

This is I think where PO comes in. He’s a bright faced freshman who has been hanging with Kris and the other defensemen. They end up studying deep into the night more than a couple times. Enough times that PO starts to get worried.

The next time they wrap up studying at ass o’clock in the morning PO drags him back to his dorm to crash on his beanbag chair instead of his lonely single so even if his insomnia won’t let him sleep he can at least watch the sun rise with the sound of a teammate’s breathing in his ears and let himself slip into sleep that way.

Overall:

This show had everything: non-traditional alpha/alpha relationship (w concepts I wasn't aware of like Enigmas but somehow no Omegas lol), racecar competitions, x-men like superpowers (heightened senses, stealing powers, hypnosis, mind reading, telling the future), child trafficking, pseudo-incest if you think about it (from Kenta's side at least) and more. And it didn't have a super strong script, there were nonsensical elements and plot holes that didn't get addressed and things that happened to just move the plot along, but it was a fun watch nonetheless, both for the novelty and the entertainment factor.

The most important aspect of the show was definitely the characters and relationships despite there being like a wrong human trafficking ring and everything involved; it well went back to how it affected the people and their relationships. Babe was a very compelling character with his past and how he behaves in the present and his relationships with Tony/Way/people in general. Also helped that Pavel did a really good job with him and acted his ass off, there were quite a few emotional moments in there.

I agree with some people's comments that I wish Charlie's actor Pooh as a better actor. And his character wasn't as developed or with depth as the other ones either, like in terms of emotions I guess. I could never quite tell how much in love with Babe he really was at a given time because he didn't quite... look it, it looked more like a little puppy fanboy who may or may not be playing it up to conceal his true intentions. Alan and Jeff were cuter in my head before they got together tbh. North and Sonic are dating to me, they're so cute.

Although I really liked Charlie/Babe, my true ship winners might be Pete/Kenta in a Not Me ToddBlack fashion, to be honest, with Kenta as maybe my favourite character (2nd is Babe). They gave us like 2 tiny hints that they might know each other and waited until literally last 10 mins of episode 11 out of 13 to lay out their history and baggage and relationship and Kenta's crush, all the while showing them in a fight where Kenta's trying to hurt Pete (but Pete knowing Kenta can't kill him). They have an interesting friends (-> brothers/crush) -> enemies -> allies again at the very end dynamic where I think that they could become lovers post-canon. And I love how pathetic and desperate for love Kenta is and how he was willing to do despicable things for Tony's approval before finally, finally knifing him. Really had me writing a fic idea in my notes app after my few months of no drive to write, I wonder if I'll actually finish it or not because it's kinda... more explicit and intense than the fics I usually write but it was really good in my brain.

Once again, I'm shallow, so here are the people I find most beautiful: Charlie specifically when he has his glasses on and is being a cute puppy, Sonic omg pretty girl for real, Babe is so attractive - esp the younger version of him without the gelled hair but even in the present day when he smiles and is happy he's so beautiful. Jeff sometimes but I think I'm more into his vibes than specifically his face. Way is gorgeous omg, also aside but that actor has mentioned dating men before including a 7 year relationship.

So I'm on the full dose of Wellbutrin now and I've been averaging about 2-5 hours of sleep a night. Very uncool.

I've always had issues falling asleep. Even back in elementary school I was always, without exception, the last person asleep at our weekly sleepovers. I've stayed up all night and watched the sunrise waiting for my friends to wake up because I.cannot.sleep. I'd get up to go to the bathroom and deliberately be loud about it in the hopes someone would wake up and keep me company.

I spent a lot of my highschool life on literally (literally literally) zero hours of sleep. When I worked at the bookstore, I'd sometimes hallucinate because if I knew I had to be up at 6, I would not bother sleeping at all and by the time 6 or 9 rolled around I was fully out of my body. On the 9 hour flight to Japan, I did not sleep for a single second despite a generous Benadryl dose and being so, so desperately tired.

It sucks. But at least when the suffering was done, I would eventually sleep for at least 8 hours (and start all over again in a few days).

But Wellburtin is a whole different goddamned beast.

I've been banished to a different bed than Aries because historically, it takes me a few hours but I would eventually sleep. But now I toss and turn and grumble for hours and keep him up. And like, to be fair, if I'm NOT going to sleep why should I be there? I don't even try anymore. I melt into the couch and watch stupid Youtube videos. I refresh Tumblr and visit my 13000+ likes when the nightposting dries up. I start new books. I clean the kitchen. Aries has woken up to me using my Hello Kitty karaoke machine at 2am being like "Hey, so uh, can you try to stfu". It's bad. I will eventually go unconscious usually when the sun starts rising, and then have to go work.

But!!!!! What the actual fuck!? I am not napping. W H A T. I can't. I try, but I've spent the last two weeks awake all day, and for me, that hasn't happened in years.

This can't be normal.

I have a doc appointment on Wednesday and I think I'm going to finally accept the offer for trazodone lmao. I'll probably need another medication review, but I'll do whatever. Please. Just let me sleep more than 4 hours.

What have I done to the Sleep Gods to anger them so.
